He's blank on Branham, and it is the bees on ESPN 97.5 and ESPN 92.5. Let's go straight out to the HRNP guest line, being joined now by Adam Roan, his fantasy life on Sirius XM Fantasy. Thank you for taking a few minutes again, Adam, to join us on this fine Thursday. Us being in Houston, obviously, it does not appear Joe Nixon is going to play. DeMico Ryan's like, hey, we're holding out hope. Kind of what he does, though. Kind of holds out hope. How are you handling the Texans back-filled when it comes to fantasy football this weekend? Yeah, I'm trying to avoid it this week. If Nixon does sit out, it could be Cam Acres getting in there, an open walleye on the passing downs, but I could see them going more pass-heavy this week, especially when you have those three wide receivers. So I understand there's so many injuries in fantasy football right now that there might be some people who are desperate, but I try to avoid the back-pills for this weekend Houston. Adam, you mentioned the injuries. It's always a concern for everybody that plays, but are there some guys that worry you more so because of the fact that they're on the fence and you hate waiting to the last minute to try and sit them or start them? Yeah, look, we got fortunate last week with the A.J. Brown situation. We didn't have to wait for the last minute. They let us know, but George Kittle just popped up on the injury report today with a hamstring issue and didn't practice, so you hate that downgrade on the Thursday. I don't hope it's related to last week when during the game he was carted off. They said he needed an IV, but the 49er situation with Debo Samuel and George Kittle, that's a problem. And we've seen Brock Purdy, especially with Debo Samuel out, he doesn't perform as well, but it does open up a situation where a guy like Joanne Jennings becomes someone that is a sleeper that you might be able to get in your lineup because the Rams are probably going to provide very little resistance. They have injuries on the offensive line, injuries on the offense, and injuries on the defensive side of the football. So there's always guys that you're gonna worry about Jordan Love. I mean, they said they're gonna take it up until kickoff, 90 minutes before game time with Jordan Love. And obviously that has a major impact because of Love is active. All of a sudden your wide receivers that you were benching last week for Green Bay may become plays if Jordan Love is active. - Adam Ronas from Fantasy Life on Sirius XM joining us here on The Killer Bees. Adam, there's a lot of wider receivers that we drafted high like DJ Moore and Terry McCorran that were depending on Ricky quarterbacks. And right now me, you, Joel, and Jeremy have as many passing touchdowns as the Ricky quarterbacks this year, zero. So how are you handling these wide receivers with Ricky quarterbacks like Terry McCorran and DJ Moore? - Yeah, it's been brutal. DJ Moore, I'm gonna be patient with. You gotta remember too, the Bears had a couple of tough match ups to open the season against some good defenses, Texans on the road, Tennessee, which is an underrated defense. People don't think of Tennessee as a good defense, but they are. This week at Indianapolis, okay? They are so bad against the run, bad in the figure. This is the week that you need to see Caleb Williams play well and for DJ Moore to thrive. So I'm playing DJ Moore. I'm more worried about Terry McCorran, and this has been bad here. They are going against Cincinnati this week, but Jayden Daniels just doesn't seem like he could get the ball to McCorran. So I'm more worried about him, but DJ Moore, I think it will get better. And you gotta remember it's two weeks. Essentially those two weeks are like the preseason. Now with no one playing in the preseason. So hopefully this is the week that we start to see the offense get better because it's numbers across the board. We was complaining. Oh, my tight end. Okay, what tight end are you going to get? You have Sam reported. You have Travis Kelsey, you have Don't Kecan. You're all upset with those guys. Who are you going to be replacing with? Oh, a one week wonder a guy that did well last week and then doesn't do well. Same thing with the quarterbacks. Josh Allen had it down game last week. The only quarterback in the NFL through the first two weeks to go for at least 250 yards in both games is Gardner Midshu. That sums up the first two weeks of the season. - Going 18th round for free and best ball dress the start of the year. I asked about the Texans backfield. What about the Chiefs backfield? Pacheco out six to eight weeks, maybe longer, brought in some Ajay P. Ryan after he was cut by Denver. They have the rookie Carson, the animal still. They added Kareem Hunt to the practice squad. Is there anybody here worth picking up or playing? - For me, no. Now people spent high dollars last night and they'll leave them in. Kareem Hunt in one league went for $484 out of 1000. The runner up was $1, so I feel bad for that guy. This week it looks like it'll be steel in P. Ryan. So if you're in a desperate situation, I think you could use both. If Kareem Hunt is not activated off the practice squad, once he is, then it's gonna become a problem. And let's not forget, Clyde Edwards the Lair is eligible to return in week five. It doesn't mean he will be activated, but this is a situation where you're not replacing Pacheco with one person. It's gonna be multiple. And again, that's another team too that I could see passing more. So for this week, if Kareem Hunt's not active and you're desperate, you can use steel or P. Ryan, but going forward, I don't feel good about anyone in this backfield. - Adam, are you surprised at the fact that we've seen basically the offenses from a passing perspective go way down with numbers, touchdowns, quarterbacks throwing for, as you mentioned, less than 250 yards. And do you think that that's gonna be a trend? Or do you think that eventually everybody's gonna kind of settle in and we're gonna see the 300 yard passing games the numbers go up? - I think it will pick up. It's just the defenses are ahead of the offenses right now. It's so difficult when these players are just not participating in the preseason. So many teams didn't let any of their starters go in the preseason. And then, okay, here's game day, let's go. And you could see it, guys are just not ready for it. It's taking some time, especially with new offensive coordinators, new quarterbacks. You mentioned the rookie quarterbacks and we've seen pretty much all of them up to a full start. So I think it's gonna start to pick up, especially this week and next week. We do see some low totals across the board this week, but I do think it will get better because I just don't see it continuing like this. - Adam Roan is joining us here on the Killer Bs. Adam, the Saints have been a surprise to everyone scoring 40 plus in each of their first two games. And I think we all lights, guys, at Chris Salavi, Alvin Kamara coming in the season seemed like a kind of a sleeper here, but he's Shaheed in the, just, I guess, the out of nowhere David, or Derek Carr streaming play has really surprised a lot of people. Where are you at with the Saints players in fantasy and how long do you think this wave rides for them in the uptick in explosion on offense? - They're not gonna score 40 points every week. I can tell you that. I know you didn't have the option to say that, but it will continue to that level. But I do think the offense is legit because Colleen Kubiak has come in and just changed things. There's a lot more emotion, a lot more design plays. You could just see it. I mean, Dallas' defense was atrocious against the run and Kamara just carved them up. She's always been a good player. He was a guy, drafted in a lot of leagues in the double digit rounds. And some of my teams, I can't even get them in the starting lineup. Not saying that's how good my teams are. I have others that are just estimated by injury, so I will get them in. But he was a guy that I liked because every time we've seen him on the field, he makes big plays, but he wasn't playing a full compliment of snap. Now he is. I think Chris Salavi too, if you can buy low on Chris Salavi now, do it. He landed at the one-yard line last week. Had he scored that touchdown, it would have been a bigger day. But if this offense is going to continue to thrive, it means bigger days ahead for Chris Salavi. So I think he's an excellent buy low today before he goes off this weekend. They do have a tougher schedule coming up, but Philadelphia's defense, who they get this week, has not shown the ability to stop anyone. So yes, he has been relying on the big plays, but you also have to remember that this face has backed off in the second half of these two games. They were in control against Carolina. They were in control against Dallas. I think Carr only attempted 16 passes last week. So yeah, I think the offense is real. It won't continue with that pace, but Carr is the guy that was still available off the waiver wire this weekend. You can make a case for starting him over some of the struggling rookie quarterbacks right now, and some of the quarterbacks that were taking the eight to 12 range, and Kumar looks rejuvenated. That is what I missed on. He was efficiency with the climbing last year, but this offense has really opened things up, provided good lanes. The Kumar looks like he has a little bit more juice than last year as well. - Adam, what do you have coming up with the Dub Club this week? - Well, we'll give it out pick.
