Alright everybody, so it is buy so whole time. You guys know the drill. These questions come from our Irish Breakdown subscribers. These are posted every Tuesday. Salty usually puts them up on Tuesday. And then I grab them from the board, turn them into cards, and we go buy so whole. If you want to get a buy so whole submission put in, then you missed it. Then you can either wait till next week or you can always do a super chat. We'll answer super chat ones as well. So let's just dive right in to today's buy so whole and we're going to start off with IM Tenzin. Buy so whole, Riley Leonard finally gets a passing touchdown or multiple this week. But people will still be mad. They didn't throw six of them. I get where you're coming from. And there's going to be some people like that. Like listen, let's be honest. There are some people there's not going to be happy with Riley Leonard because a they don't want a portal guy. They want to drop that guy. They don't like his style of play, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. That's true. There's I think most fans, however, just it's not personal. I think they're, I think they're incorrect in how they evaluated what he did last week. But I think they are, like, here's an example. Okay. There's a guy on the board that has been dis-arguing a lot of people. His, and you guys know his handle, it's ant.vr. And he and I don't agree on how Riley played last weekend. But he's been on the board a lot. And he's someone that if Riley Leonard goes out there and does the things that he wants to see from Riley Leonard, he'll say, great, good. That's what I was waiting on. That's what I wanted to see. And he'll be excited about that. I know, I know him as a poster. I don't know him personally, never like, never talked to him or met him. But I, it's not a, I just want to be negative. All right. We don't agree, but it's, it's, if Riley goes out there this weekend and throws for 235 yards in the first half and throws two, three touchdown passes and hits a couple deep shots, I think he's gonna make awesome. This is what I was hoping he could do. Now let's roll. And I think that's how most fans, at least that Irish breakdown are, that it's not so much that they dislike Riley and there's going to be mad no matter what. There are definitely people out there like that. Definitely people out there like that. I mean, there were people that were doing nothing but complaining at the Notre Dame 166 to 7 over a power 5 team. Some people are just like being miserable. I don't think most people are that way. And I use, I use VR as an example because he's been a very vocal critic this entire week on the board. And again, while we don't agree on certain things, I don't think he's being mad just to be mad. And I don't think he's going to stay mad if the things he's arguing against. Like he kept saying in post and it was kind of frustrating to me like, well, how about 20 yard throws? I'm like, okay, whatever. I don't know what to tell you at this point in time. But if Riley goes out there and hits three balls that are over 20, but less than 40, he's not going to say, well, how come you didn't complete any 40 yard? He's not going to do that. He's going to say, that's all I wanted to see. That's where I was hoping we would see. Now, hopefully you can keep that rolling and let's go. I'm confident most people will be like that. So I'm going to sell it even though I understand where you're coming from. I do, but I think most people that have been critical this week, most, not all, because some people just like being miserable, but most people are going to see him show the things that we saw at Duke and say, okay, now that's a guy that I get behind. That's, that's the right thing. So if he does have, because your premise is he's going to get those touchdowns, but even if he does, people are going to be mad. I'm selling that because I think most people will be very happy to see that and will be excited about what's to come. And maybe it'll help him a little bit move past just how bad the northern one was because it was. It was. Next one is from Irish English per Dan Mullen. Notre Dame's playoff chances are on life support. Now he, and Irish English made the, the comment that he did say this before the Purdue game. Meeting Purdue 66 to 7 to me doesn't change Notre Dame's playoff chances as a whole lot. And look, here's the deal. This is, this is where, look, the national media has to kind of do their thing to create clicks. Right. That's just kind of the world we live in. Like Ryan sent me a text earlier from a organization we used to be affiliated with and it was a national guy that writes for the Notre Dame site. And so it wasn't one of the guys that, that, you know, that, that are normal learning people. It was just, it was just such a click baby. Like they have to do things to, to generate clicks because that's where they are. Right. I mean, that's the reality of it. But look, anyone that thinks Notre Dame's playoff chances were on life support simply from the standpoint of the loss of Northern Illinois is wrong. They're, they're not because if Notre Dame runs the table, the Northern Illinois game won't matter a whole lot to getting them in. This is what a lot of people are, where, where a lot of people go wrong. And there's going to be people that disagree with me in the chat and this is where you're wrong. The committee has always said they care a lot more about who you beat and less about who you lost to. Literally, they had a number one seed in 2017. The number one seed in 2017 lost to a four and eight Syracuse team. They were still the number one seed. Right. And if, if you lose Northern Illinois, but you beat Louisville and you beat Georgia Tech and you beat USC, you're going to be in the playoff. What Raymond nailed it, the only thing that a loss to Northern Illinois does, if you run the table, is it might impact, it will impact your seating. That's it. They're not going to leave out an 11 and one Notre Dame team. It's going to affect your seating now where it does affect their potential playoff chances is now you got your one loss in week two, which means for the next was it 11 weeks, because they have two buys. For the next 11 weeks, nine games, you have to be perfect. I don't think you can get in with two losses. Now, in my opinion, it's going to work as you can, but it's going to be tougher. Right. It's going to be tougher. So you could say there's their, their, their playoff chances are, are tougher now because their marks for error is basically all but gone. But people acting as if like they weren't going to go in, even if they run the table, that's where people were wrong. Is it going to be harder to run the table now that you lost Northern Illinois? Of course, especially since Notre Dame showed in that game that they're due for clunkers and that's something that Notre Dame has done the last few years. They're just due for some clunkers. So until they figure that out, then, you know, it's going to be a concern. But if Notre Dame runs a table, they're in. That's the reality of it. If Notre Dame runs a table, Notre Dame is, Notre Dame is in the playoffs. And the only question would then be seating. And like Joe Marciano said, Notre Dame needs help with two losses. There's no doubt about it. There's no doubt about it. They need help with two losses. So no, they're playoff. And, but again, I don't think beating Purdue changes that a whole lot other than just, you got to win. But like no, if you, if you thought Notre Dame was not a playoff team after Northern Illinois, you may watch him and get to Purdue and say, well, you know, that's the Notre Dame we want to see. But you don't know, they're back up to the five seat. No, you need, you know, that's not how it's going to be. And, and so to me, that's, that's, I just, I sell the heck out of that. From the standpoint of what he intended it. And that's kind of where that's really what I want to see. From, or that's what I would say about that is Notre Dame's playoff chances are, there's, I was having this debate with a friend of mine. He said, Notre Dame's fate is no longer in their own hands. And, and I understand what he's saying, because when you're not undefeated, there's always a potential, but I still feel like when I look at schedules of other teams around the country, an 11 and 100 A team is going to be in. So to a degree, their fate is in their own hands. But, you know, because again, we're talking about a 12 team playoff, not an 11, not a 14 playoff. So I still think that they're going to be in. Hayden 32 that by so hold the change in play calling we solvers Purdue is a step in the right direction to becoming the team. We initially thought they could be. I buy that. It's not a they've arrived moment, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. Absolutely. We talked a lot about that in the upon further review in the post game show. Yeah, that that it was a step in the right direction. Now, as I talked about earlier in the show, now it's about building on that right like so step in the right and I like how you said it's a step in the right direction. It doesn't mean they've arrived. It's a it's a positive step. Now take it to the next step to the next level. And so I buy that. Good. Good observation. Hayden ball peens. Shalaly. The performance of the offensive line without Craig or Shrath will tell us and he wants me to buy so hold each one of these. How good of a coach Joe Rudolph is by. I think there's no look. Let me just go through all of them. How deep the online room is room talent is by and whether Notre Dame has a real chance to win out by. So I buy all of them and they all kind of go together. The reality is this Notre Dame and the easiest by of all of them. Is number two because it'll tell us how deep the talent is there's not a lot of teams that can can lose three starting offensive linemen. And put a good offensive line on the field. And you don't do that without two things. You don't do that without talent depth of talent. And you don't do that without good coaching. No matter what you think about Joe Rudolph. If the Notre Dame offensive line is good the rest of the way not elite fits elite. That's an obvious one just good consistently good the rest of the way Joe Rudolph deserves a lot of praise for that because of the youth of this unit. But also because you had to get a lot of young guys going then three games in. You've got to completely reshift because you lost two starters, including your center, which in my opinion is the most impactful loss of them all, not because he's necessarily the best player, but because it's such an important position. There's so much leadership required that position. There's so much communication required that position. There's so much. I mean, look, if you get beat up the middle, it's hard to do anything. We've talked about that. And if the line is good, the rest of the way, then Joe Rudolph deserves a ton of credit for that because you've lost, you lost your left tackle, your center, which most people would agree are the two most important positions in an offensive line. And then you also lost, in my opinion, your best offensive lineman, Billy Shrauth. Now, hopefully Billy comes back at some point time, but will he be healthy? It's a question. So, yeah, it'll show if he does a good job, it'll show he's a good coach. Now, if they're just kind of okay, it means he's not an elite coach, but it doesn't mean he's a bad coach because of the unique circumstances, but we are definitely going to learn about the talent in the room. There's no question about that. And Notre Dame will have a tough time winning out if their offensive line doesn't play well. They will. Like I said, what I said about Lou Verlier, I think if Notre Dame plays where they did on Saturday, they'll beat everybody they play. Right. And some Louisville fans didn't understand what that meant. Apparently, it doesn't mean Louisville sucks. It doesn't mean they're going to hang 66 on Louisville. It means they're going to beat Louisville because they're having elite defense and an offense can run the ball at a high level and big time playmakers. But that was predicated on the fact that the offensive line played really well. Last year when Notre Dame played Louisville, the offensive line got absolutely obliterated by the Louisville front obliterated. If they don't play well against Louisville next weekend, there's a chance they can lose that game, even if the defense plays great. Because if Northern Illinois can do that to Notre Dame's offense, Louisville can certainly do that to Notre Dame's offense to hold them to 14 or fewer points. And if you can't score more than 14 points, you're not beating Louisville. This isn't 2020. Jeff Brahms their coach now, not Scott Satterfield or whoever else was there in the past. They're going to score more than 14 points on Notre Dame if Notre Dame doesn't score. Now, I could see Louisville getting kept under seven under 14 points. If like, let's say Notre Dame just comes out early and just puts 17 on the board in the first quarter. Sure. That allows the defense to kind of pin their ears back and forces little bitty one dimensional, you could shut them down that way. But if this is a four quarter game that that is a competitive game, Louisville is going to score more than 14 points in my opinion. They're definitely going to score more than that. Well, Notre Dame has shown they can lose games and their defense holds people to 16. They lost a game in 2022 with their defense held an opponent to 16 points. They lost a game in 2023, whether defense held a team to 17 points. They lost a game in 2024, where their defense held a team to 16 points. Right. That's basically where we're at. And until they can figure that out, then they're going to have a tough time winning. All their missed a meal Wagner by so you got a few of them coming up from him. There by so hold, there's a camaraderie among the Notre Dame players in house that the fans can't see and prevents a lot of the knee jerk reactions that we fans have from becoming a locker room cancer. I have to hold that because I don't know. I mean this is this kind of goes back to the conversation that we had before the Northern Illinois game remember there are some questions and some buy so holds about how great the locker room was and I think one had something to do with. You know best leadership since 2012 and I was like hey let's let's pump the brakes a little bone that let's see kind of see if they can kind of string some of this together let's see if they can handle success now. And then they went out that next week and didn't handle success. So I don't know that we can say for sure that a team that showed that little leadership and fire and just heart. All of a sudden has this because they beat Purdue by 59. I don't know that it showed that I will say this I hope that you are correct. I hope that they have a great connection in the locker room that allows them to use the Northern Illinois game as sort of a springboard for dominance moving forward I hope that's the case. I'm not saying it isn't the case. I don't know. I'm not around the team I can't tell you that that's definitely who they are I hope that that's who they are so far. That's who they've been so far talk to a source this week that talked about how this is a really pissed off football team good. I just hope they're pissed off at the right things because here's the deal. If they're just pissed off at the fans or the media attention that changes and they lose that edge when they start getting love again. That's just human nature again mad at you for for hating on me but if you start showing me love over a period of time then I'm like okay hey we're cool now right. That's human nature especially for young people. So if they're if they're pissed off at the right thing at the wrong things and it won't be sustainable for period time. If they're anger and frustration is is is what they see in the mirror based on that game and that's sustainable. That's more sustainable because that doesn't go away that becomes more prominent about who you are as a football team and that's when we'll see what you're talking about here. So I hope that's the case. Missed me Wagner also says by so hold beating my move Ohio soundly will take a portion of the sting out of the loss Northern Illinois because it will show that we just took a Mac team likely and when we motivated we will crush that level of competition. I'm going to sell that because I don't know that you Miami Ohio is not on the level they were last year I don't know how good Northern Illinois is. I know what they did against Notre Dame. Let's see if they can continue that moving forward we're going to see. But I don't know that beating another Mac team is going to make you feel better about losing to another Mac team I think what's going to make you feel better about losing to a Mac team is just winning the rest of your games. Now you can look at it as an anomaly, because I just for me I understand where I totally understand where you're coming from and it is the defending Mac champions and all that but this is a different roster than what they were last year. It's it's not I mean you had to be great you showed you can beat the Mac I don't know that that necessarily makes me feel better so I can only speak for myself. And for me beating Miami Ohio does nothing to make me feel differently about losing to Northern Illinois the only thing it does is it gives me hope that maybe this team is has found some answers in regard to preparing the right way week after week. But it won't because what we always know that if Notre Dame's motivated they crush a lot of people we all we've known that it's just we don't what we don't know is if they're going to be motivated every week. I mean I think everybody in this chat would agree that if let's just say somehow let's say let's say Northern Illinois runs the table and they go 13 to know and Notre Dame goes 11 and 1 let's be real Notre Dame's, you know, say they get a rematch against Northern Illinois it's probably going to be at home. It's a highly doubt that they're going to have Northern Illinois now the same they shouldn't, but wherever it's played. Let's say there's a rematch between Notre Dame and Northern Illinois. I would expect no name to absolutely destroy Northern Illinois they played the next time. But that's a hypothetical what we know now is they lost to him. And there's there's nothing that I see that's going to make me feel better about losing that game. In regard to beating any one opponent it's it's we talked about this the other day when I said there's no one opponent that makes me feel better about losing the Northern Illinois. And it's not Louisville it's not USC it's it's a have you shown me that this not showing up for two three games years behind you. That's what I care about because if you get rid of that, then you're not going to have to worry about another Northern Illinois, because your team shown that they're going to show up every week and do what they need to do. But that's going to be the key. And he Tommy by so hold Marcus Freeman and Marty Biaji figure out how to get rid of the punting deficiencies of James Rendell this week. I'm going to this is one of my hope buys right like I do these every week because I can't possibly know the answer to that. But it's a hope by for me Tommy it is I hope they can figure it out and and the fact that Marcus Freeman talked about it in the in the press conference actually gives me a little bit of confidence because like. Though it's not so much that I care a lot about what coaches say but Marcus Freeman is one of the more honest coaches we've seen. And when he starts going into the depth of discussing the issues with with James Rendell the way that he did it tells me that they do recognize that there's a problem. And they're at least going to try to address it. And I think if they try to address it they'll be okay there like look I'm I'm still not sold on Marty Biaji over all the special teams coordinator. I've discussed this but the one thing he's always been pretty good at is co coaching the actual specialist kickers and punters. He's been pretty good about that in the past because he was a specialist. And so I have a greater deal of confidence that he'll be able to figure out. Okay because like I think they did something that worked that they thought would work and it hasn't worked. So now you have to you have to change strategy. And if you change strategy then you have to work on that player and hopefully help get that players mind right and technique right and get them rolling that's my hope is that they can do that. But I have no clue. I have no clue if they'll be able to get that going. Light it. Hey Irish Breakdown listeners it's Urban Meyer. It's got a few of them here by so hold Washington state gets the pack 12 and the playoffs as the group of five team. I I'm sorry that you know the your second favorite team I believe if this is correct in saying this Washington got beat this past weekend, but I don't know that that's going to be it just depends they're to me they're going to have to run the table. Yeah, to get in. You look at the win over Washington that's a good win the win over Texas Tech they blew out Texas Tech so that was obviously a very good win. We'll see how Texas Tech is right I mean Texas Tech's coming off of a block cup block went over North Texas I don't think they're very good they beat Apple in Christian by a point they give up 51 points to Apple in Christian. They've got play at Arizona at TCU at Iowa State at Oklahoma State they sub West Virginia Colorado. They got to play at TCU Baylor home Cincinnati home Arizona State at home so you know there's a lot of loseable gain for them. I don't know how good of a win that'll be I've said all off season I don't think Washington's going to be that great this year I think they've got there probably a four loss team in my view. It comes down to okay. Can they can they run the table because I just I and I think it also kind of you is determined by how good is the Mountain West. I don't know that we know that answer yet you know the Mountain West usually is able to come out and kind of have some big non conference wins and so far they haven't been able to do that. I mean you got Boise State battled Oregon but they couldn't get the win Fresno State battled Michigan but obviously they didn't get the win San Diego State this past weekend. Got absolutely shell lacked by California this past weekend and also lost to Oregon State so you know maybe if Oregon State's really good. You know they I don't know maybe it look they're going to have a shot. But I you know it's it's going to be tough it's going to be tough because like I don't believe there's a conference championship game right there's no conference championship game. So they're going to get one less opportunity to play. So let's say Washington State goes 11 and one. And then Memphis goes 11 and one or you know and but here's the deal Memphis would then play in the. The AC title game and they get a chance to have a better you know better chance of the resume neither team would have a really strong overall resume Memphis's resume would be hurt by the fact that Florida State's not very good. You know but they say okay well yeah you're 11 and one and your best win was over Washington who's 18 for. And and Memphis is you know similar. You know maybe they don't have as good of all win but they maybe got a couple other good ones I don't know it's just so hard to know how the committee is going to compare the AC to Mountain West without seeing how those team how those leagues go but. So I'm I guess I'm going to it's a long winded way of saying I'm going to hold on that for now because I just don't know how those leagues are viewed. You know so. I mean because that's the thing is like what's their schedule primarily made of it's Mountain West teams and I realized that they're not in the Mountain West that's why I said that they don't play in a conference championship game the Mountain West has a conference championship game. But their schedule is a lot of Mountain West teams. How is the Mountain West going to be viewed by the committee the Mountain West usually goes out and is able to get some upsets. So if you look at a team like Washington State who plays let's see Utah State, Hawaii, UNLV, San Diego State, Nevada, San Jose State, Wyoming that's seven Mountain West teams right. So if the Mountain West doesn't have a very good reputation then that's going to hurt their resume. Right. That's the reality of it. So yeah, we'll see. We'll see. It's going to be interesting so. And I'm. It's going to be interesting to see how they're viewed. I just don't see them. But then the day. I don't see them being. A better than 10 and two. And that's the best case scenario. So we'll see how it goes. And then as as Joe's saying the chat like what I don't know is are they even viewed that way. Are they viewed as a team that can get the group of five. I don't know. Well, she don't know the next one from beach 100 the NCAA needs to standardize and centralize official training. Yes. I mean, honestly, to me, I still like the idea of conferences. Sort of being in charge of it, but there needs to be certain standards. That are held. I think there's things they need to do. They need to pay officials more to make it more attractive to certain people. The officiating is ridiculous. It absolutely ridiculous. And while the conferences should kind of still handle. Like when I mean the conference would handle it like there needs to be a like a standardized. Training. But you can still have each conference be responsible for for their league. I think it still makes sense to have officials for your league. It just it just there's a lot of travel logistical things that kind of go into that that factor into that. So. But I still think the leagues need to kind of be the ones to handle that. D troll hunter. By so hold, floor state should keep Mike Norville, even if they went under five games this year's career record. There is now 31 to 20 and has less than five wins against top 25 teams. Oh, and it's by the 65 million. And apparently FSU doesn't have a whole lot of booster money to toss around. I mean, I don't think that his buyout should really factor into it. I mean, look, he's having a bad year. Really bad year. And if they. If they go four and eight. I mean, I could see them firing him. I just think it'd be a mistake. I do. I mean, look. So I'm buying your premise. I think they should keep him because. He did a bad job this year, but I don't think it shouldn't discount. The fact that the team went 23 and four the previous two years. You know, I mean, you talk about the wins and stuff that they had last year. I mean, I still think Florida State had some very good wins last season. You know, you'll talk about beating Clemson Clemson was a good football team last year. They were a top 25 team last year. I don't know if they were a top 25 team when they played. But actually, if they beat number five Louisville, they beat number 16 Duke. So those are teams that were ranked at the end of the beat. They beat Louisville last year, who's a good football team. They beat Clemson who finished the year ranked. You look at so that means so last year alone as he's building the team, the program had some very good wins. You look at the year before, you know, obviously not as many wins the year before, but. They did beat Louisville or LSU and LSU wasn't ranked at the time, but LSU ended up being ranked 16th. That's a very good win. So I don't think you can just discount that win because, you know, a team wasn't ranked at the time. And so I mean, there's a lot of things that factor into this conversation and including the fact that, you know, he took over a program that was in a mess. So you're not going to get a lot of early wins when your program's a mess. And then one of the years, and, you know, you had the COVID years first year, I believe was a COVID year and you had to deal with all that stuff. So hold on, 2020, yeah, I believe his first year was the COVID year, which was just a mess. So I actually like what Mike Norvell's done there. I think he did a bad job this year. I think he spent way too much focus on the portal this year, not enough on high school recruiting. He's got to fix that. But I think the job he did the last couple of years alone and is enough for me to say he deserves more time. When you then factor into the buyout and all that, I think that plays into the conversation. I think a lot of the money that they would otherwise use for a buyout is going to need to be used kind of for these lawsuits that they have pending and the potential that hey, we may have to end up paying X amount of money to get out of the ACC. So there's a lot of those things that kind of factor into the conversation that has to be. You know, that has to be looked at as factors into whether or not they can make a decision. And I just don't think you give up on a coach that that's had the success that he's had because he has a bad year as bad as this year is. Now, what I would say is I would come, I would have him come in and I'd want to, hey, what's your plan for fixing this and if I don't feel he has a plan. And that's like, to me, it's like, if a coach does a bad job, you don't farm just because of that. A guy who's done otherwise done good things. I don't think you fire him just because he had a bad year. The only time you do it is if you don't think he has any clue how to fix it. That's the only reason I would do that. I'm going to sell that simply because I don't know that Lane Kiffin is going to talk to them. I mean, at any point in time, I think that that's all going to be done through the agent. And I'm sure the agent will talk to them and let them know whether or not Lane would or wouldn't be interested. Because here's how that conversation goes. Lane's agent, hey, Lane, just so you know Florida reached out and they would like to know that if they made a change, would you be interested and then Lane can simply ask this, hey, man, I'm not concerned about that. I'm focused on my team, you know, when we're seasons over with, then I'll let them know that I am interested in the job. And then his agent goes back and says, okay, he's he's going to finish the year out. There's no doubt he's going to finish the season out. But when the season's over with, he would absolutely be interested in, you know, then the agent can kind of do agent thing. So I think the only reason they haven't fired him yet is because I just don't know that they're ready to necessarily make that decision yet because there's some hurdles that they have to jump through before at their state school, right? So there's, and they currently I don't believe that they have an interim president, not a full-time president has been sassed up the way. And they got to figure out like what's the strike, what is the even the mechanism for them to make this move. I think that's more of the reason they haven't fired him yet is because there's some hurdles they have to jump through before they can make that decision is basically done. They have to just figure out how to do it when to do it. I also believe that going into a by is the best time to do it. I think that's a big part of this as well is look, look, you're going to fire him. That's going to happen. But what what's the proper time. You've got to gain this weekend against Mississippi State, then you got to buy. I've always believed if you can do it, make a coaching change during the buy. And so no matter what happens this weekend, then make your moment. We've seen coaches get fired after wins. Didn't that horse around getting fired after a win? Somebody like that got fired. They'd won again. They'd already decided they're going to fire him. And so after the game, they just, they still fired him even though they won the game. Was it him or was it less? I thought it was one of the two LSU coaches that got fired. I could be wrong on that. But I think the decision is already made. I don't think it's going to do with waiting on Lane Kiffin. I think it's because they're waiting until the by week. And then the team can heal. You can figure out who the interim coach is going to be. That guy has a chance to kind of figure out what they're going to do and those type of things. So Ryan said, if you lose against Mississippi, fire him right in the field. I mean, I doubt they do that, but that's probably, that's probably justifiable. Mississippi State is awful, awful, absolutely awful. Yeah, really, really bad. Bice a hold one of each. Oh, this is tough. Tennessee, Penn State and Kansas State. I mean, I don't want to sell any of those teams, man. Like, I like all those teams right now. I like Tennessee. Obviously, you know, Tennessee, you could say they haven't been tested. I think that they somewhat tested by by NC State and they kick the mess out of them. Kent State sucks. Chattanooga is a not a great FCS team. They're kind of average FCS team. It's a couple of playoff first here and there. But they're doing what you're supposed to do. I mean, they're absolutely destroying people. I mean, I don't think I think NC State's overrated. I said that before the year. I didn't think they were that good of a team. You still beat them 51 to 10. I mean, that's still an absolute destruction of a power five team. It's like a Purdue game. And I think NC State's probably better in Purdue. You mean a 51 to 10? So if I had to buy any of those four teams and I can only buy one, I'm buying Tennessee. I mean, Tennessee is really, really good. If I had to do one of the other two, man, I just don't, I don't love that. Because I like both Penn State and Kansas State. I don't know which one I would want to sell. If I had to sell one, I'd probably go James. I'd probably, I would probably buy Kansas State. I mean, hold Kansas State because I would say I love the beat down and went over Arizona. The battling to Tulane was not ideal. You know, you'd like to be a little bit more convincing there, especially even though it was on the road. You know, Penn State right now is 2 and 0. I'm selling them that a nice one over West Virginia, but the struggle with BG was a mess and they won't play two games. And then, of course, they've got James Franklin's or head coach. So if I had to stick to your answer, I would buy Tennessee. I would hold Kansas State and I would sell Penn State. But I just. I like this Penn State team. I do. I want to see them bounce back from the Penn State game. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do in two weeks against Illinois. Cause I think Illinois is a scrappy team, but they're not really going to be tested truly until October 12th when they play at USC. But I think they're going to annihilate Kent State next weekend Kent State is hot garbage. They got blown out by pit. They got blown out by Tennessee 71 and nothing. And they lost at home to St. Francis. So FCS team. They are terrible. Who is the head coach at Kent State? I don't even know who the heck the football coach like that's how just irrelevant that they are at this point in time. And I don't even know who the heck their football head football coach is. It is Kenny Burns, who's in his second season and they went 1 in 11 last year. They are garbage. They're terrible. I hate to be that harsh, but they are all there. And their only win last year was over an FCS team. They are really bad. Really, really, really bad. All right. So, that's a, yeah, it's an easy one. Connor Fitch by so hold the starting line by the end of the season is Gerby Lambert, Sam Pendleton, Pat Coogan, Billy Shrout, and a meal Wagner. I'm going to sell that. Because I doubt that they're, I mean, look, if you're going to put, if you're going to put Gerby Lambert at left tackle to start later in the year, then you're going to not, you're going to, you're going to start working in there now. So he's not even playing there now explaining right tackle. I'm not saying I wouldn't, I wouldn't want to make that change, but I don't see, I don't see that happening best when we see right now. I'll tell you this, Connor, I would be okay with it. I would like to see Gerby get a shot. Like I, he's still kind of raw, but I liked what I saw from Gerby on Saturday. I mean, I'd give him some time. Yeah, I'd at least consider it, but I don't see that happening right now because he's not there. If I was going to make a move with Anthony Nap, what I would probably do honestly is I would probably consider moving Anthony Nap to center. If I was going to make a move. I don't know that I'd move. It's like, look, Anthony Nap struggling in the run yet pass game, but Anthony Nap is a has been really good run blocking so far this season. Brandon Plezner, there's multiple St. Francis's there's there's one in Indiana, which, and then there's one in P, I think St. Francis in Indiana is an N.A.I. school. The FCS team that that I'm talking about is in Pennsylvania, and I believe their FCS, they could be division two. She so let me, actually let me look this up real quick. And see, I think I think they're an FCS team, but I could be mistaken on that. They are, yeah, they're in the Northeast conference with Robert Morris, Duquesne. Yeah, so they're, they're an FCS team. I was correct. And they lost a Dayton, and they lost at home to central Connecticut, but they beat Kent State on the road. It's really bad. And St. Francis went four and six last year, and they beat Kent State. That's, yeah, they suck. They're really terrible. Bice a hole from Connor Fitch, the first wide receiver to catch a touchdown pass. We might get Gilbert. That's an interesting one. I think the first person to catch a touch, you're talking about a touchdown pass from Riley Leonard, right? Because the first person to catch a touchdown pass in the season was Cooper Flanagan, but I think that they're going to, I could see a tight end being the first one to catch it from Riley Leonard as well. I'm hoping that it's, you know, Chris Mitchell or Jaden Greathouse or KK Smith or something like that. I'd like to see an outside guy, but I'd be okay with it. I'm going to sell it because we haven't seen Mike and play with the first team at all. Oh, I mean, your question, actually, I'm going to, you're a good question. You said the first receiver to catch touchdown pass, because both the top, both touchdown passes were the tight ends this past weekend. So it's a good, that's a good one. So I'm going to read into your comment that you're saying the first receiver to catch a touchdown pass will be somebody that catches a touchdown pass from a backup quarterback. So I see what you're doing there a little bit. No, I don't think it'll be Mike and Gilbert. I think it'll be one of the starters and hopefully it's one of the guys that I mentioned. So I think we all know who salty wants it to be. It's no doubt about that Leon Hart by so hold Mike Mickens is a power four head coach in the next five years I'll probably buy that. Because he I think he's going to get a decordinator job. Somewhat soon. And then if he has success there, then that will lead to him being a head coach in the next five years so I'll buy that. Walk on carry on 78 by so hold Northern Illinois beats NC State. I'm not ready to go there on that one. I'm not a big fan of NC State, but the problem is. I think NC State still has some weapons that can give Northern Illinois some problems I think Northern Illinois is a good football team I don't think they're as good as they looked against Notre Dame. You know let's see how they bounce back against Buffalo this week I think NC State is not a very good team but. You know I just I don't know I just. I hope you're right. You know what this is going to be a hope by I'm going to hope by it. I just I think it's going to be tough because NC State's not going to. They're not going to take Northern Illinois for granted now that they beat Notre Dame. They're going to be fired up for that game and it's going to be at home. But here's the here's a thing to think about as I talk myself into and out of my answer for this question. Is they play Clemson this weekend. And if Clemson kicks there but where is NC State mentally when Northern Illinois comes to town that that could be something there. But yeah we'll see we'll see I'm going to hope by that one just because I want to be true. And then because if they lose to NC State it's coming man. This is makes that makes like it doesn't make it go away but like if NC State Northern Illinois runs a table at least it makes us feel at least you lost to a good Mac team. You know it doesn't completely take this thing away but it helps a little bit. Law dog by so hold Riley Leonard will attempt three or attempt three or more passes of 20 plus yards this week. What do you do last week one. Was it one last week. I'll buy that three I'll buy that. By so hold Bryce Young will have one and a half sacks this week. I'm going to I'm going to sell that I could see him getting a sack but one and a half that's that's a lot for a guy that doesn't I may so far I hope you're right I hope you're right. And then James Rendell will have a punt of at least 45 yards this week I'm selling that selling that because I don't think James Rendell is good. I'm going to go with I don't think he's going to punt this week and I'm hoping he doesn't punt this week. But I would if he does punt it'd be nice to get him going because he's got a strong leg but they got to they got to get him going. Yeah they got to get him rolling. Domer Gris by so hold of Rocco balls out for the next two weeks while shroud. This is more of a question not a by so old but I'm going to try to turn it into one Rocco balls out the next two weeks while Shrath recovers from his injury. But doesn't get any more meaningful snaps this year he's still have enough solid film to be draftable this year. So sell sell no he won't he won't have he won't have enough good film to get drafted. And he's not athletic enough to get drafted without more good film. What this will do for Rocco is it'll make him an attractive portal option for someone next year so like if Rocco goes out and plays really well the next two weeks. And Notre Dame puts Billy shroud back in there and Rocco doesn't play any more meaningful snaps. What Rocco would do is Rocco would probably go in the portal and go play somewhere else next year. So that's yeah. Yeah. That's that's where it would be I don't think he would go to the draft I think he would go somewhere else and play. And then he says if not then bice a hole transferring after this year would give Rocco the best chance of being drafted after next year. And of course that I would buy. All right so we are Notre Dame bice a hole nerding starting defensive unit doesn't give up a touchdown this Saturday. I'm going to sell. I'm going to sell I think they'll get a score I hope I'm wrong. I think they'll get a score, but I hope I'm wrong. I think they'll hit a big pass play or to Kate McDonald and get a score. So it set up a score at least so I hope I'm wrong but I'm going to sell that it will only be one in my opinion by so hold Oklahoma beats Tennessee this weekend. Boy that's a tough one I haven't actually watched much of Oklahoma so far this season. And I've looked at box scores and I've watched highlights but I haven't actually sat down and watched Oklahoma play. I've watched Tennessee play. So it's hard for me to say that I have a lot of confidence in Oklahoma here's why I'm going to sell that though. Obviously it's at home it's great that you're at home but but listen. Tennessee has or Oklahoma hasn't exactly lit the world on fire the last two weeks at home against teams that are nowhere close to what Oklahoma or what Tennessee is. When you look at for example they beat they beat Houston 16 to 12. Houston is currently one in two with losses with a four point loss to Oklahoma at on the road and a 20 point loss at home BONOV and they're only when so far it's over rice. Who is one and two and they're only when it's over an FCS team they lost by 20 to San Houston state. So Houston's not that good so far this year. They went out and played two lane last week jumped out to a big lead and then let two lane climb back in they were up 21 nothing. They did two lane scores or even a fourth quarter make it a five point game and then Oklahoma pulled it away late. So they didn't exactly like the world on fire in that game either. Now they didn't look bad. They've done some good things but I still think their offensive line is a problem. You know they ran for 180 182 yards this weekend against too late. All right that's great. Good number. Four point zero yards per carry. They average 2.6 yards per carry against Houston they only ran for 75 yards against Houston. I still think they're offensive lines a problem they've got good skill they've definitely got some skill that can give Tennessee some problems. But like I said this is a much improved Tennessee defense listen. But Tennessee in three games against not very good teams, a grand shoe has only given up 167 rushing yards and 1.8 yards per carry. And here's the thing NC state had the lowest amount of yards and lowest yards per carry average of any of the three teams they played and that's the best opponent they've played so far. And and I think they're going to be up for this game. I think this is also a little bit of a little bit a lot of a of a revenge factor for Tennessee. Keep in mind Josh hypo played quarterback in Oklahoma and got fired from Oklahoma when he was the offensive coordinator. So that is a. I just I'm just not in again this is just looking at scores and highlights I have not broken Oklahoma down yet so I'm just being upfront about that. But from what I expected of them looking at their numbers they're struggling to run the football with any kind of consistency against mediocre to bad opponents and Tennessee is light in the world off this is a this is a motivated Tennessee team. Oklahoma and in Texas are going to a lot of instances going to get the best shot that these SEC teams have because they're the newcomers. And I just don't think I matter of fact, I'm going to watch a little bit of Oklahoma film tomorrow before we do our preview of that game tomorrow so I will have watched some Oklahoma before then I'll watch some tonight tomorrow. But I from from it just on what I've seen so far highlights and stats I actually not only think Tennessee wins I think Tennessee smacks up. But I'll let you guys know for sure tomorrow after I've watched a little bit of film I just I don't think this game's gonna be overly competitive. By so hold there will be at least one upset in the top 25 this week. Alright let's go look and see what the top 25 games are this week so you've got some Illinois and Nebraska Nebraska is a seven and a half point favorite at home potential upset but I don't think so. Could NC State beat a ranked Clemson team on the road it's possible. That's a potential upset when USC at Michigan I don't see Michigan beating us see I think there's a better chance that that NC State beats Clemson or or Illinois beats Nebraska than there is that Michigan beat USC. I could be completely wrong on that but I don't see that LSU is going to destroy UCLA. I see Georgia Tech and I think Louisville is going to win that game I don't see Georgia Tech beating Louisville I think Louisville's really good football team this year. Could Northern Illinois lose a Buffalo maybe. I mean Utah's a two point road dog against Oklahoma State if Oklahoma State wins that that's not an upset to me Vanderbilt's not beating Missouri. South Florida's not beating I shouldn't say these guarantees because I'm a look idiot some of these get picked. I don't see Oklahoma beating Tennessee Kansas State at BYU that's one to keep an eye on coming off of a big win against Arizona you're going on the road playing a BYU team it's three and oh so far. Pretty scrappy defense that's a potential upset right there Kansas State at BYU so yeah I think at least one top 25 team will get upset this week and by upset I don't mean. If like again as I said if Oklahoma State who is ranked number what 14 beats Utah who's ranked number 12 at home even though they're a two point dog I don't count that as an upset. I'm talking about like a true upset I think we'll let's get one. Let's get one. Reese's Chris buy so hold the fan base will feel like positive progress has been made after the game if and I'm supposed to do a buy so hold for each of them. Love and price will each have a 30 yard run. I'm going to sell that because I don't think that's going to make the fan base feel like positive progress has been made because they've already done that. Three quarterbacks will play again sell because I don't think three I don't think blowing out my people how is going to make anyone feel better. This is the one I'm buying Riley stat line will be 275 plus yards of offense and three plus total touchdowns. I'm going to buy that because the odds are if Notre Dame wins convincingly and he has to over 275 yards of offense. That's most likely means he's thrown the ball better than he did the previous game. If that's the case then I think that'll make some fans happier. I don't think the first two will because we've already seen that they literally played four quarterbacks this past weekend against a big tenty. Ditro Hunter my dude if Vanderbilt beats Missouri this weekend I will give you a free annual membership. That is my bet I don't bet money like direct money but that's kind of it. If that happens dude me and you will talk about that one. I don't see any chance that happens.
