Welcome back everybody to another primetime edition of the football function podcast. I'm once again your host Goose and tonight we're going to be going over the Thursday night game where the New England Patriots go to New York to trap to face off with the New York Jets. This was a pretty one-sided game. Going into the season everybody, you know, thinking New England was going to be the worst team in the NFL and then they came out their first two weeks and though they won one lost one of their first two weeks, they didn't look incompetent. They didn't look like the possible never win a game team. So they kind of surprised some people and really thought that it was going to be continued to be in battles throughout the week. But this week was not the case. It was the home opener for Aaron Rodgers since his last start was his injury at home. So and he came out and it was in VP of this game, no doubt, no doubt. It was the 100% old Rodgers. He threw 27 for 35 for 281 yards and two touchdowns, one being a kind of a out route Garrett Wilson that I pretty much any other quarterback in my mind or at least 50% of the quarterbacks. That's a throwing a pick six all the way back. I mean, it was right where it needed to be. They just took control over this game, never looked back and the Patriots struggled in just really all aspects of the game. Jacobi Brissette just got destroyed by this defense, getting hit at all times, only throwing for 98 yards. Gibson only having 29 yards is rushing and their highest receiver being Douglas with only 69 yards. They just this team struggled in all aspects of the game. Their defense tried to keep him in it. You know, they only allowed a touchdown per quarter, but only being able to get three points and nothing going in the second half really struggled and the New York Jets were able to find a win in this game 24 to 3, giving Rodgers his first home win as a jet. So it being his first game that really came in true fashion, you know, Aaron Rodgers. Oh, is he going to how's he going to be after his injury this year, how it's how things going to be. And he looked like the Aaron Rodgers that we all remember, just being able to make plays when it looks like things are lost, making throws that just seem crazy. And I don't know about y'all, but for me, every time that man gets sacked or runs or hits or whatever, I just hold my breath because you just with him, I you hear these injuries being something that you're never the same afterwards. So I just cringe every time he gets hit because you just think that something's going to happen again. But luckily for them, he's been staying healthy and he's been playing good. So like I said, the final score being 24 to 3, the Jets move to 2 and 1, and the Patriots move to 1 and 2. That's pretty much all I've got for this week. Like I said, the game wasn't super exciting. It was pretty pretty lopsided. So nothing much going on. But I will be back later on to go over the Sunday night game, which would be the Chiefs versus the Falcons. I expect that to be a great game. I think with the Falcons, how they looked last week, I don't think this is going to be a dog walk like everybody assumed. And I really see the I really see the Falcons putting putting on a good game. And then we'll move to them. There's we've got two Monday night games where it'll be the Jaguars and the Bills and then the commanders in the Bengals. So we've got another pretty good slate of football coming up. And I look forward to recapping that with everybody once they're all done. So take care and I'll see y'all back next time. Breaking news and this one is almost unbelievable. Yeah, it's all about new customers at bet 365 because they get $200 in bonus bets when they bet $5 and even better bonus bets can be used on the spread totals and player props. There you have it bet $5 to get $200 in bonus bet and see why it's never ordinary at bet basis five. When I enlisted in the army, I sworn oath to this country, not any political party. That's why I'm interested in citizens ballot measures around the country to reduce the power of political parties. Colorado votes on one too. Right now, election rules allow political insiders to hand pick party nominees. It's the reason we're usually stuck voting for the lesser of two evils. Colorado's plan creates an open primary where all candidates appear on one primary ballot. Every voter has the freedom to vote for any candidate, no matter which party. The Colorado plan advances four candidates to the general election, not two. That means more choices for voters in the primary and general election. Get the facts. Elections belong to the voters, not political parties. Paid for by veterans for all voters, Anthony Haas registered agent.
