I'm here to do the week three review show. When I don't know him, I said that this was going to be upset weekend. I don't necessarily think I nailed that on the head, to be perfectly honest with you. It's almost like a friend telling you, "Hey, come over in a couple of days. We're going to have a steak dinner." You show up to your friend's house. You're expecting a 26, 28-ounce ribeye, and he pulls out, you know, he puts a 12-ounce, you know, sirloin, or just a smaller steak on your plate. You know, you kind of get a little disappointed, but he technically didn't like you. You know, he may have, you know, a baked potato to go along with it, or, you know, some french fries, and, you know, a nice salad, or some peat cobbler to go with it, didn't necessarily give you what you were expecting or what you wanted, but, you know, you're going to leave satisfied, you know, throughout. You know, at the end of the night, you're going to say, you know, that sirloin was cooked pretty dang good. It was wrapped in bacon. You know, he made it the exact way I like it, and that's the way I think I want to go with you guys on. You know, I did say upset week, and then there was. I wasn't necessarily wrong. There was a lot of upsets. Maybe the teams I predicted too upset didn't or got blown out, but I think games were a lot closer this week that, you know, a lot of the favorites would like to admit, you know, week three, week four is a real show me tell me time of the college football season. I like to think by week four, you have played at least one game that you looked at in the offseason going, hey, I want to be at this point by this week played at least an A average game, a B plus average game and you're probably saying see him. What's with the grades? Limiting your turnovers, limiting your penalties, actually racking up the yards that you were expecting to do and having your defense get a couple of turnovers. So on and so forth, you average out, you know, your game. Let's say you like Florida State right now, I hate to keep, you know, throwing them into the fire, but, you know, they're having a failing grade right now, you know, they're losing turnover battles, they're losing the penalty battle and they're losing on the overall, you know, record, all in three and we'll talk about that game here in a little bit and this is the show me time. I think by the end, by the time I talk to you guys later in the week, you know, with the week for preview show, you have a good recollection, you have a good collection of who's good, who's not good, who could be pretty good in the next couple of weeks. I think you know who you are by the end of week four, absolutely. But let's go through the week three preview show, I mean, review show, I keep messing that up. I'm so sorry and I apologize. I did say I had 14 games with, you know, I wanted to preview for you guys, but I only did 13 because I skipped over a game. Sometimes weeks like that happen, I just kind of go through and go, you know, list by list, you know, game by game and I actually skipped one. So I did not preview the Arizona at K-State game, you know, one of the biggest games of the week, it came on a Friday, but it's on my list and I'm going to break it down for you. So you get an extra bonus, you know, break down. And then of course at the end of the show, I got a couple extra ones for you guys, maybe an upset here, maybe an upset there, games that really opened my eyes in the college football, because like I've said before, you know, you have your blue bloods, you know, you have your big conferences, but you know, every once in a while, somebody comes out of the woodwork, you know, kind of comes from underneath the ring. If you're a wrestling fan, it just kind of surprises you, you know, Arizona last year, two lane, two years ago. This is going to happen again this year. So hopefully I predicted that, but let's get into it. Of course, like I said, this started early. This is a great weekend of games and I say weekend because I've landed all the way through Sunday. I set upset weekend and I little did I know I included NFL because a lot of people probably wouldn't have saw, you know, New Orleans, absolutely demolished the Cowboys. But Niners losing to the Vikings with Sam Darnell. A lot of, you know, the Raiders upsetting the Baltimore Ravens. Maybe I was right. I just didn't include the NFL, but like I said, this started the 12th, you know, September, this was a Thursday. This was a 630 kickoff on ESPN. This was the Arizona state, state Sun Devils out of the big 12 going to San Marcos to play the Texas state Bobcats who came out undefeated as well. And I did have this one on Upset Alert and it, you know, almost happened, you know, just because it didn't happen didn't mean I didn't know the upset, you know, weekend in general. Arizona State gets to win 31 to 28 Arizona State does cover. They were one and a half point favorites over under on this one was 59 and a half ends up being in under do teams that at the start of the year, you know, didn't really talk about. Of course, I did say Texas State could be one of those teams that comes from a little or conference. But, you know, wasn't really talked about, but this could have been a really good game for them, a good resume building game for them. But showed me a lot more about Arizona State, you know, a team that is coming to love at Texas this coming up weekend to play my Red Raiders and our big 12 opener. So it should be an interesting game. Player of the game, though, Jordan Tyson, wide receiver for ASU caught six balls for 120 yards and got himself a touchdown. So Arizona State's looking really good, you know, went through their non-conference, you know, slate unfazed, you know, unscathed and start their, you know, conference season right now, you know, a familiar opponent in Texas Tech. I think we played each other a couple of times the past five, six years. What does it work well for us when we go down to Tucson to play them, but they're coming here to love it. And I'd be a good game, definitely going to be on my preview show later in the week. Moving on, this was a Friday night game, the 13th, six o'clock kickoff on ESPN. This is the UNLV run in Rebels coming out to two and oh out of the Mount West, going to Kansas to play the one-in-one Jayhawks out of the big 12. Like I said, this is where it started. You know, it could have started the day before, you know, with Texas State pulling out the upset, but this is where it starts. UNLV wins 23 to 20. KU is favored by seven, so they do not cover it. Over on this one was 58, so it ends up being a small under. I had this on my, you know, preview show because I saw the potential. I saw that this was something that definitely could happen and it actually did. Don't know about Kansas, you know, this was a preseason, you know, ranked top 25 team that a lot of people said, you know, if it's not a Utah, if it's not an Oklahoma State, if it's not a K State, why not the Kansas Jayhawks team that's definitely been on the up and up, definitely a team that's known for their basketball, but a team that is trying to throw their hat in the football world and say, hey, we want to win the big 12. And it shows me more about UNLV than it does for Kansas. You know, this is a Mountain West, you know, team. You know, I know you got your Boise States and, you know, some of these other little or schools and that non-power five in that small conference, but I want to see stuff like that. I want to see these little or conferences go to a big boy and beat them or at least hang with them. You know, Kansas probably paid UNLV a good little chunk of money. You know, we talked about this not too long ago, you know, NIU got $1.4 million from Notre Dame to, you know, beat the fighting Irish at home. You love to see it. I love college football. You know, a lot of people say the non-conference schedule is not so good. You got, you know, Joe Blow State going to Alabama. And Joe Blow State gets beat 70 to 0. Yes, of course, you're going to have games like that, but you're going to have games like this. A, you know, show me game for these smaller conferences. Good win for UNLV. Definitely going to be peeking in on them throughout the season. If a certain match up, you know, comes across say week six or week seven, so on and so forth. I'm definitely going to throw them in again. I don't want to always talk about Bluebuds. I want to talk about the smaller conferences. Talk about the Mack. Talk about, you know, the Mountain West and South Sunbelts and, you know, some of these other conferences, because like I said before, as 12 team playoff, one of those seeds is going to go to a little school. And it could be UNLV. Moving on, good win for the Red and Rebels. You know, kind of gives the big 12 a black eye though. Moving on. This one was another Friday night game. This is the one I completely skipped over, and I totally apologize for that. This was a seven o'clock kick on Fox. This was the number 20 ranked Arizona Wildcats coming in 2-0. Going to the 14th ranked K-State Wildcats coming in undefeated as well. A nice 2-0 record. And this one did not go how I probably would have predicted. I've probably predicted a closer game. Arizona is, you know, lost their head coach. I do love Noah Fafida and McMillan. Great one to punch. And they talked about them, you know, like a couple of weeks ago on a review show. But also, you know, talked about them and my Heisman, you know, dark horses and contender show. And completely went the opposite way. You know, the K-State Wildcats, a team that I've, you know, I've waved that banner for. I do not hate them. I respect them very much. Breaking news coming in from Bet365, where every nail biting overtime win. Breakaway, pick six, three-point shot, underdog win, buzzer beater, shoot out, walk off, and absolutely every play in between is amazing. And they sure did to these Arizona Wildcats. You know, this was their first game in the Big 12 conference and K-State showed them what's up. 31 to 7. That was a eye-opening win. K-State was favored by 7 and a half, so they cover. Over under on this one was 58 and a half, so it ended up being in under. If you do not know the name Avery Johnson, I don't know if I necessarily put him in my Heisman talk. He needs to be talked about now. This is a top 15 team in K-State and now they are, you know, 1 and 0 in their conference. You know, they're the other team that everybody's going to be looking up at for at least another week. In K-State, it's just one of those teams. Day in, day out, you know, blue collar type of team. I love, you know, Chris Kleeman. I love to Bill Snyder. I love K-State, and I love how we don't have to play them this year. But Avery Johnson, man, he did his thing, 156 passing yards, two touchdowns. But he said, "I got wheels too, buddy. I ran the ball for 17 times for 110 yards in rushing." You know, that's a scary sight. When you have a dual threat quarterback that you're having to go up against and you only have a certain amount of days to, you know, look out for, you know, to plan for, to strategize against. You know, you forget, this was a Friday night game. So technically, they only had five days to prepare for K-State. Avery Johnson's a dude. Like I said, and they played at home. Bill Snyder Stadium is a hard place to play. But I think Arizona that will be fine. But K-State's looking really good, man. Good win for the Big 12 and then K-State, the old Big 12 against one of the new Big 12 members. This one starts with your Saturday slate. This was 11 a.m. kick on ESPN. This was the Memphis Tigers coming into an O out of the AAC, going to Florida State at Doke Campbell Field. Doke Campbell Stadium, a Bobby Bowden field, by the way, to play the Florida State Seminoles, you know, the O and two down bad Florida State Seminoles. And there we go. Yet again, another upset. 20 to 12. Memphis gets the win. Florida State was favored by six and a half. They do not cover, of course, because they don't win. Over and under on this one was 51 and a half ends up being a very, very low under. Like I said, put that one in here. This is because I saw the potential. It was Florida State gonna bounce back. Or do they really have problems? You know, I think I said it in my previous show that where there's smoke, there's fire. And this is a dumpster fire, so to speak now. I mean, Mike texted me at, I don't know, it was about 2.30 or so or 3 o'clock around that time on Saturday and said, "Just put Florida State." I think that's all he said. And I said, "Yeah, they're just down bad." That's probably a team, just kind of giving up. Coachee is not doing their job. I think some teams after they realize that, you know, they're not going to go undefeated, that they're not going to contend. Some teams check out, you know, and it's very sad because I think college football is great. When certain schools are great, you know, like a USC, like a Florida, your perennial bluebloods that you can look back and, you know, having hay days. And just makes college football great. That's just kind of sad for them. I'd love to see what's going to happen when Mike Norville. This is the team he used to coach. You know, he came from Memphis and Memphis came in with an extra grind and did lose at home. The whispers are starting to become shouts. You know, and I did say that he was probably one of these safest coaches besides double Sweeney and the ACC to not get fired. But he might not even make it to the end of the year. This is a team, like I said, in the previous show that ended up as the fifth seed in the college football playoff, the first one out and took it personally. And then in their bowl game played against a Georgia team that just completely dismantled. Maybe the Georgia Bulldogs started this dismantling of the Florida State Football program. And I leave it to the Georgia Bulldogs to completely set your program back. And this is scary. I don't like to see it. But it's very humbling. Interesting win. Good for Memphis. I would like, like I said, just like the last game I talked about just a little while ago with the UNLV. It gives me another team to, you know, Peacat in smaller conferences, you know, UNLV in the Mountain West. And of course, Memphis in the AAC, I can't wait to see them play Tulane or anybody else in there, that conference ends up being pretty decent. And especially as the week start getting along, you start seeing who's really good. So good win for Memphis. Florida State starts the season 0 and 3. What do you guys do, right? 11 a.m. kick on Fox. This was the big noon kick off. This is where those boys were on Fox. This was the fourth ranked Alabama Crimson Tide coming in undefeated 2-0 out of the SEC, going to Camp Randall to play the Wisconsin Badgers who come in 2-0 out of the big 10. And this was a shellacking. I know I said that this was a possible upset. I saw it. It had the ingredients, but sometimes if you are a cook or if you experiment in cooking, sometimes you have all the ingredients, but it just don't come out right or you overcook it or you put a tablespoon of something in there when it should have been a teaspoon. Bad shit happens sometimes and especially when you play the Alabama Crimson Tide and they flex their muscle 40, 2 to 10 on Wisconsin, Alabama was favored by 15 and a half. I said that. I was like, man, well, that's a lot of points that have to eat, but it ended up being plenty over on this one of 50 and a half. So it ends up being a little bit over. This was a 21-2-3 halftime score. It's hard to keep that home-filled environment going for four quarters, let alone for three. When you feel like you've just been completely outclassed, people leave, you don't quite get that home-filled going. And I think Alabama is one of those teams, like I've said before in the previous show that they love to go on the road. They love to go to hostile environments and just take out that home-filled environment, like I've said before. I think that's one of the few things. There's not many that separate college football and NFL. I know there's a lot of really great NFL stadiums, but the environment in college football is definitely bigger and better in the NCAA and it's home environments like Wisconsin. It's like that South Carolina line I'm going to talk about here in a little while. There's just some really great college football stadiums, the way they're built, the way they are, the way they're stacked on you, the way that it feels like the fans are on top of you. 100,000 fans and they even go to a smaller stadium that only have 60,000 fans that can just get just as loud as an 80 or 90,000 stadium. So, Jalen Milro, if it's not Quinn Eures, you know, being talked about right now as a Heisman front runner, it's Jalen Milro. This dude is a dude. I know I talked about him and my Heisman, you know, Dark Horse's show and he's definitely hit. If Alabama goes 11 and 12 and oh, this is a guy that's going to be in New York City, I probably said that in my previous show and it's something that's not unfamiliar to the college football game that an Alabama quarterback and Alabama player is talked about was one of the best players of the year and this is a dude he threw for three passes and touchdowns and then ran for two touchdowns, you know, pretty much if he didn't show up, Alabama wouldn't have won. You know, he damn near scored every single touchdown for, you know, these Alabama Crimson Tide and put the team on his back and that's what Alabama players sometimes do, especially the quarterbacks, just a dude, man. Like I said, I think Wisconsin, it's going to be hard for them to bounce back, but this is a real show me game. I thought for Alabama and I know I've talked to ill of Alabama, I kind of figured they were going to take a step back. I didn't say necessarily two steps back, but you know, you know, let, let a Kailin DeBore get his feet wet. Let him get to really taste what is SEC football and he's doing a great job. This is coach of the year candidate right now overall. I don't think they do a coach of the year in college football. I'm not real sure. I think they do though, but this is a guy that's winning it right now for me, you know, to step into Tuscaloosa and at Nick Saban Field and have to succeed that guy and, you know, you get his, his office and you have to take over his players and you are doing probably, I think, a better job than, you know, he was last year. I know Alabama has always been Alabama, but this is a scary Alabama team, not shitting on a Nick Saban Alabama team, but I think he was just starting to kind of, he was over it, you know, a couple of years ago and I think the whole transfer portal, NIL, how the game was going away from Nick Saban, it was a great time for him to step away and Kailin DeBore is just picking up right where Nick Saban left off and doing a great job. Watch out for Alabama, can't wait to see them play a real SEC team, you know, a Georgia, a Tennessee, so on and so forth and that's going to be a hell of a, hell of a matchup. Moving on, this is another 11 a.m. matchup on ABC. This is the one that came on, this is where game day was, this was the 16th ranked LSU Tigers coming in one and one, going to South Carolina to play the gamecocks who came in 2-0. Almost an upset right here, man, should have been an upset. LSU gets the win, 36-33, Alex Herrera sets up for a game winning field goal or a game tying field goal, I'm sorry, at the end of the game and just barely misses it. LSU was favored by seven, they do not cover, over under on this one was 50 and a half, so yeah, ends up being a big over South Carolina had it. And LSU almost lost it. I don't think LSU necessarily won this game, I think South Carolina technically lost it and I know you're probably saying what's the difference. I think LSU's just average, you know, the loss to USC that just kind of took LSU's game plan, the way LSU has been playing for a long time, just being physical and smash mouth type SEC football, USC put it to them. And I think SC did the same thing and SC was technically on their backup quarterback, their starting quarterback went down, so who's to say that their starting quarterback doesn't go down that South Carolina doesn't win by 10. And like I said, they had it in their hands, I think a lot of ify penalties to say the least, I kind of helped LSU, I kind of hate that about college football sometimes. But you know, it is what it is, still a good win, I think this is a eye opening win to LSU, they're going to have to work their butt off to try to get to, you know, the college football playoff, is it still in their realm, is it still within their grass basketball? Absolutely, but South Carolina, you got them on your schedule this year, especially if you go down to South Carolina to play them at their stadium, you better bring a lunch, that's a pretty good team, I like that team very, very much. At his Frank Beamer's team, I do believe, you know, the Beamer Boys, you know, from the Virginia Tech days, he's doing a pretty good job, and I feel bad for not talking about SC, but and that, and that's another, you know, sorry, South Carolina, you say SC, you think of South California, but this is a good team, man, I'd love to see what they can do against some more SEC, you know, type talent, and you never know, they could be in Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, and Oklahoma, so on and so forth, good win for LSU though, this was an 1145 kick on the SEC network, this was the 24th ranked Boston College Eagles, coming in 2 and 0, going to the sixth ranked Missouri Tigers, coming in 2 and 0 as well, and this was another tough game, I know I put this on my upset watch, upset meter, and it was close, you know, 27-21, Mizzou gets the win, Missouri doesn't cover 16 and a half points they were favored by, that's why I put it on my list, I thought, you know, those guys could keep it close, and sometimes that's all it takes, and over and around this one is 54, so it ends up being just a little bit under. Breaking news, and this one is almost unbelievable. Yeah, it's all about new customers at Bet365, because they get $200 in bonus bets when they bet $5, and even better bonus bets can be used on the spread, totals, and player props. There you have it, Bet $5 to get $200 in bonus bet, and see why it's never ordinary at Bet365. Gambling problem, collar text 1 and 100 gambler, 21 plus only, must be physically located in Colorado, terms and conditions apply. Cards issued by JP Morgan Chase Bank NA member FDIC, subject to credit approval, offer subject to change, terms apply. Just don't know yet about Mizzou. Did they have the better depth chart, the better players on the field? Absolutely, but in college football, man, I'm telling you, if you took, you know, BC plus 16 and a half, you got you were done, and that's technically an upset. I know I didn't get the W outright, but sometimes you went just taking the spread and getting the spread upset. You know, that's still a good win. So I want to see what Missouri's got. I went technically their conference season starts. You know, the SEC goes deep. You know, I think I did eight or nine you know, SEC schools, you know, in the off season in the summer, broke down their schedules, and I didn't do Mizzou. They've got a lot to prove to me. They still have a very high number, you know, next to their name, and this is not a top, you know, 10 score. I know BC is probably going to be a lot better than a lot of people will think, but the SEC's got to beat teams a little bit more, you know, than, you know, they should. So good win from Mizzou, but like I said, I want to see more. I can't wait to see who they got coming up next. 230 kick on ESPN two. This is the backyard brawl. This is West Virginia coming in one and one out of the big 12 going to pit two and oh, and this was an upset right here. West Virginia was favored by two and a half and they lose to pit 38 to 34. Great close game back and forth. Just beautiful game, man. Over on this one, 60 and a half ends up being an over because they score over 70 points. I was I on West Virginia. I'm not, you know, completely, you know, selling my West Virginia Mountaineer stock yet. You think about who they played, you know, they played a Penn State and now they played a pit. Two teams that could potentially, you know, be in their conference hunt. That's a nice non-conference record. Yeah, they go one and two, but they're going to be battle tested going into their big 12, you know, slate. I'm just kind of glad we don't play them till the end of the year. Maybe they kind of fall off by then, but do not count out the West Virginia Mountaineers, man. Some of those times those close losses, you start getting a games like that later in the year. You turn those close losses into wins. A guy that's, you know, should be on your radar, especially pit, you know, kind of starts rolling them off now. Eli Holstein quarterback for these pit panthers, he throws for 301 yards and three touchdowns. And then he goes 14 for 59 rushing yards. So like I said earlier in the episode with Avery Johnson, those dual threat quarterbacks, just give defenses fits. You've got to put a spy on them. You've got to change up your defensive mentality, your defensive, you know, strategy, defenses love playing against pocket quarterbacks. I mean, when you really think about it, when you got a guy that can run, you've got to watch your edges. You've got to have some really good linebacker play. Your safeties have to be, have their head on a swivel just because they might have to come up and make a tackle in open field. And this is another guy. If he keeps reeling off wins, why not talk about, you know, I pit panther quarterback, you know, going for a Heisman. I know it's still early, but I still want to cover grounds, you know, I still want to give you guys every single week and player to keep your eye on. Because, you know, as the weeks go along, I'm going to be talking about so many players. And then of course, when it comes to draft, you know, after the season and after a national championship has been awarded, why not talk about some of these guys in the draft process. All right, moving on, good win for pit. Another, you know, black out for the big 12, 230 kick on ESPN. This was the two lane green wave coming in one and one at the AAC, going to the 15th rank Oklahoma Sooners coming in two and now I live the SEC. And this was close. You know, this was a really close game. As I kind of predicted, I told two lane, I said, you know, keep it close, keep it tight, make OU uncomfortable. You know, getting a hard fought battle with a lesser opponent in Houston than the week before. Two lane can play that game just a little bit better than the Houston Cougars could, I thought. And you know, I know two lane loss to K state last week, but you know, you fix your, you fix your shit, you know, you lick your wounds, you practice a little bit harder after a loss. And you say, I don't like this feeling and I don't want it anymore. Let's go to Norman and win. But Norman gets the win. The Oklahoma Sooners do and win 34 to 19. They cover their spread 13 and a half. Over under on this one was 47 and a half. So it ends up being in over. Jackson Arnold, quarterback for OU, you know, quarterbacks at OU here are, you know, very familiar. You're very familiar with them. I mean, obviously, you know, at Jalen Hertz, a Baker Mayfield, how he can even go back, even farther. You know, a Josh Hypel, if you want to chase in white. It's just a quarterback school. I mean, it really is. And this guy's no different. He ends up with 97 rush yards and two rushing touchdowns. You know, that's what this game's coming down to. You can't have a, you know, a quarterback that just stays in the pocket and, you know, picks you apart. Those are 440 yards and five touchdowns. It's nice to have, you know, dual action. You know, I want a quarterback that, you know, I can throw the option game out there a little bit, fake you out, get my linebacker, your linebackers sucked up, throw it over your head, but also tease you with an option game to tease you with the veer, so on and so forth. And this is a good guy, man, Jackson Arnold, watch out for him going forward. I know they have a tough game coming up next week. They will definitely be in my week four preview show. And then of course, you know, going into their conferences and their first year in the SEC have one of the toughest schedules in all of college football. I know Florida takes that cake, but Oklahoma schedule is very tough as well. And this one could have been a, a hiccup in the sooner, you know, potential, you know, SEC championship hunt, because I think they're definitely one of those schools that they have pride, you know, they have admiration. They're a blue blood. I think Venables truly believes that, you know, he can come into the SEC and win it year one. I doubt him, of course, but games like this, I doubt him a little bit more. But like I said, I'll know more about Oklahoma, especially after next week. I'm not shitting on them after at all. You know, I'm very respectful of the Oklahoma Sooners. I just, they're, they're non-conference schedule worried me a little bit. That's all I got to say. But, you know, this is still a good team. And if Jackson Arnold, you know, plays great, the these next couple of weeks, why not talk about Oklahoma, you know, they're top 15 right team in the country for a reason. But they're very, very sneaky under the radar, kind of like a mazoo, you know, kind of like an old mess hasn't really been talked about. They're going to have their opportunity to step in the limelight and say, Hey, cops, people, don't forget about me. I know you're talking about certain schools, you know, every single week, it seems like, but there's a lot of other schools that still have their time and place to be talked into college football landscape. All right, moving on. This was a 230 Cape on Fox. This was the Civil War. Those are the Oregon Ducks coming in as the ninth ranked team in the country to and oh, on the season, going to core ballast to play their little brother, the Oregon State beavers who come into an oh out of the pack 12. And this one wasn't even close. I know I put this one as a high number on my upset meter. But you know, it's all an educated wish. You know, an educated gets when I do these things and predict these things. And I just was more uncertain with Oregon in their last two games that going to their rival and playing in their house was going to be tough for them. And this was the game that I had been expecting from Oregon the past couple of weeks. 49 14s there went over their little brother in the beavers, the Oregon Ducks cover the 16 and a half point spread over and around this one is 50 and a half. So it ends up being a huge over. Oregon State doesn't score any second half points. That was a true tell for these Oregon Ducks. Their defense came out to play against a team that I said, you know, along with the Washington State Cougars that had a lot to prove going into their pack 12 season. And I will talk about that in the week four previous show because they got a couple of new members in the pack 12, you know, a couple of little guys. But nonetheless, the pack 12 will have some members going into their 2025 season. But I'll talk about that more later in the week. Dylan Gabriel, this was the game I've been wanting to see. You know, I had him on as a dark course for the Heisman period. I mean, come on, dude, do ball down at Oklahoma. Didn't quite do what he probably wanted to do, you know, down in Norman. But this was his shot and he finally showed up for the Ducks. He goes 20 for 24, 291 yards, two touchdowns, and then throws in a rushing touchdown. That's the Oregon I had been expecting. This is an Oregon who can hang with an Ohio State can hang with the big boys in the big 10. And when that big 10 title in its first year kind of like a Texas and then Oklahoma are trying to do in their respective new conferences as well. Good win. I think Oregon State bounces back, but this is the Oregon team that a lot of people were like, okay, you're pretty good. Sorry we doubted you and I'm one of the ones that said, I Oregon, you're good. Thank you for finally showing up a little late, but you know, there's still three and oh, but that's a great team. We went on 230 kick on peacock. This was the Apple Cup. This was Washington State coming into an Oh, out of the pack 12, going to Husky Stadium to play the Washington Huskies, their big brother coming in also two and oh, and this was an upset another one. 24 to 19 Wazoo gets the dub. You know, Washington Huskies were favored by four and a half. So they do not cover over under on this one was 56 and a half. So it ends up being an under. Of course, I was leaning towards Wazoo. Wazoo, you know, gave my Texas Tech Red Raiders our first loss two weeks ago. And that was a team that I thought they could have played a bigger boy that day and probably would have won. I mean, I do do that. Sorry, I do believe they beat us 30 something to like 17. You know, that was that game was handily won by Wazoo. And I didn't think it was a fluke. They showed me great things and that win against my Red Raiders. And I knew that Washington was going to take a step back this year. And I predicted it that Wazoo would go into, you know, their big brother stadium and win a very small win, but as a win regardless. And if you do not know the name, John Matir, the quarterback for Wazoo, now you do. He's kind of like an Eli Holstein for Pitt, you know, in Avery Johnson for K state guys, I didn't necessarily talk about, but I'm going to, you know, review things every couple of weeks. I got to keep throwing all these new names at you. Because if these teams keep winning, they're going to get numbers next to their, their name. They're contending for, you know, conference championships, trying to get a spot in the college football playoff. Why not the Wazoo cougars, man, going now three, you know, now they are outright number one in the pack 12, you know, with Oregon state losing, you know, I know it's a 50/50 shot, but, you know, that's a good win for Wazoo, man. Player of the game, though, goes to Josh Meredith, the wide receiver for these cougars caught seven balls for 111 yards in a touchdown. But like I said, watch out for John Matir, man. I saw this guy, you know, like I said, when he plays my Texas Tech Red Raiders last Saturday night, another one of those quarterbacks, man, that is dual threat. It runs hard, has a great arm, very scary player. So if Wazoo keeps winning, it's going to be because of guys like John Matir and Josh Meredith. All right, moving on, 630 kick on ESPNU. This is the Toledo Rockets out of the Mac coming into an O going down to Mississippi State to play the one in one Bulldogs out of the SEC. And boom, another upset happens right here. Toledo blows, the doors open on the Mississippi State Bulldogs. We had 41 to 17 Mississippi State was favored by 11 and a half. Woof. Do not cover, of course, over under on this one, it's 59 and a half. So it ends up being just a little bit under at 58. This was a 28 to 3 half time score. Yeah, just like we talked about the Alabama game and just talked about Oregon State, Wisconsin, you know, with Alabama. If you're the home team and the visitor is coming into your house and they're just beating your brakes out at half time, you contemplate leaving, going back to that tailgate, going and giving them a fat burger and pop a gold top. You know what I'm saying? Like, why do I need to go back into that game and pay money to get a burger and pay $8, $10 for a beer? Well, I can go back to my buddy's tailgate and watch it and drink for free and get a little terrible up, you know, because you know you're going to lose. Bad loss for the SEC. Of course, I wasn't expecting Mississippi State to be talked about what the likes of a Tennessee or an Alabama or even a Texas, but that's a black eye for the SEC man, especially a Mac team. I know I was high on Toledo. I got lucky on this one, I guess. I'm high on Toledo to win the Mac, you know, potentially go to the college football playoff, be one of those 12, you know, seats. Go Toledo, go Rockets, man, I love it. Breaking news, and this one is almost unbelievable. Offer subject to change. Terms apply. Tucker Gleason, quarterback for the Rockets, goes 23 of 28, 285 yards, three touchdowns, and had 40 rush yards. You're starting to see a trend. He stole three quarterbacks, man. You ain't got one. You need to get one, man. I love the coach, what he said afterwards. A lot of people were predicting this. Toledo team just get rocked by an SEC school. They were just expecting it, and this coach just took it personally and said, hey, there's a reason why people are dipping into the Toledo lake and taking players away from us because I create good teams. I create good players. I develop great players, and don't sleep on Toledo, you know, don't sleep on an NIU. Don't sleep on an UNLV. I do this for a reason, man. These previous shows, I can talk about Blue Buds all day. I don't like to. I want to talk about the little boys because every once in a while, man, David B. Toliath. And this is another one, man. Toledo beats Mississippi State 41-17. 6-30 on Fox. Next game. This was a big 12 match up between the UCF. Knights coming in undefeated 2-0. Going to Fort Worth to play the TCU Horned Frogs and get the win. 35-34. I didn't get to catch the game. The wifey wanted to go and have a date night, and who am I to, you know, argue with her every once in a while. I have to oblige. I can't watch football all day. I know you're probably disappointed to see him. You are whipped. Hey, man. College football satisfies a lot of needs, but, you know, college football doesn't cover everything, you know, saying I'm not going to, you know, get completely into that. But, yeah, I missed this game, but I missed the hell of a game. It looks like UCF was favored by one and a half, so they do not cover. Over on this one, 61-1/2, and they cover that just by a little bit, 35-34. Like I said, the win by UCF. Good game by Kobe Hudson, wide receiver for these UCF Knights. 6 catches for 145 yards, 2 touchdowns. And I am going to, you know, I love this guy, talked about him before. KJ Jefferson, the quarterback for UCF, I was high on UCF. I know I did not talk about them enough. I did not break down their schedule, but I still did give them love. I said if it's not going to be a Utah, I said if it's not going to be an Oklahoma State or a K-State watch out for UCF because KJ Jefferson, Noah Fafida, McMillan, you have to have a great quarterback and a compliment, complimental wide receiver or a complimental running back if you want to be taken seriously. And this is it, KJ Jefferson and Kobe Hudson and UCF. Gus Malzahn is the head coach. This is the guy that has done it before. I believe this is his second year and making great strides. This is another team I'm glad we don't have to play this year. I do believe the big 12 is wide open this year. I don't think any team has necessarily said, hey, where are the front runners? I might say K-State with that throttling of Arizona, you know, on Friday night, but Utah can still do it. Oklahoma State can. This UCF team, who's to say Arizona State can't, I'm not throwing my team completely out of that, you know, ring just yet, not sleeping on a BYU who is sneakily three and I will right now as well. Like I said before, this big 12 is wide open and whoever comes out of this conference, you know, in December, I think we'll get slept on, you know, after their conference championship, of course, going into the playoff because they're not a necessarily a blue blood or a necessarily high ranked team. I think the big 12 is going to beat each other up. I wouldn't be surprised to see eight nine and three or ten and two conference champion out of this, but I think this is an 18, 18 run, you know, eight teams can potentially win this conference. You can't necessarily say that about the ACC this year or even the big, big 10. I think only maybe four can win it right now. You could probably say eight in the SEC, absolutely, but it's still early. A lot of things have yet to be, you know, done and said. So good win for UCF, TCU, I'm not counting them out as well. This game could have went the other way easily. Good win for UCF though. Last game you guys, I gave you guys to watch 6.30 kick on CBS. This is Colorado coming in one and one out of the big 12 going to Colorado State to play the one in one at their rivals. Like I said before, this was a great week. If you wanted some rivalry games, if you wanted some potential upsets, and I didn't call this one. I know I probably said Colorado State is going to get the upset, probably ranked it very, very high, but good win for Colorado. I'm not going to shit on them this week, 28 to nine. That was a very convincing win, but I probably did say that I think after that embarrassing win, you know, in Cornhusker land, you know, against these Nebraska Cornhuskers the week before, they learned a lot. Deon Sanders got the boys right. Definitely got those boys ready against their rivals. The rivals started it at first with the shit talking on, you know, social media and news outlets and stuff and I'm breaking news and this one is almost unbelievable. Yeah, it's all about new customers at bet 365 because they get $200 in bonus bets when they bet $5 and even better bonus bets can be used on the spread totals and player props. There you have it bet $5 to get $200 in bonus bet and see why it's never ordinary at bet basis five gambling problem. Cards issued by JP Morgan Chase Bank NA member FDIC subject to credit approval offer subject to change terms apply. They they wrote a check that the Rams necessarily couldn't cash and the Buffalo, Colorado buffaloes did should her play great gets the player the game 36 of 49 that worries me though. I've said that before about Colorado. I'm not a fan of them. I actually I despise them. Hope they lose every single game this year, but the dude is a great quarterback. I don't like him throwing for 50 times a game. It hurts. You know, it hurts your longevity. Absolutely, but it's also one of those things that they go by where Shoulder Sanders takes them. Good game bill 36 of 49, like I said, threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns, but he has a running mate. You know, along with some of these good teams, you have a great quarterback and you have a really good receiver. And by, you know, talking about in the Colorado buffaloes, they have a great all-around player, probably one of the greatest players I've ever seen besides Woodson. Is it Darren Woodson? Rod Woodson? Sorry, I'm losing my shit right now. Travis Hunter. Sorry. That's who I was talking about in the first place. 13 catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns. I mean, this is a dude. I would rather draft him before Shoulder Sanders. I'm saying it now. I know a lot of people will say, "See, I'm your crazy. You need a quarterback before you need a stand-up wide receiver or cornerback because he can play both positions. I don't necessarily see him doing that in the pros, but man, I want that guy." But I like his character, too. I like a guy who is very fiery. Yeah, you saw him very frustrated at Nebraska last week. It wasn't getting the ball thrown, but he got shut down. But he's also one of those guys that he tackles. He gets tackled with a good wrap-up. He's the first to smack that guy on the butt and say, "Good play, man." I love his character. I love his work ethic. I love his mentality. While, on the other hand, I dislike Shoulder. I don't like the cockiness. I don't like almost like in some border nation. Almost he kind of does what he wants to do. He talks a lot of shit. Don't get me wrong. He backs it up a lot of times, too. But I just don't like that in a quarterback, man. I really don't. I like team players. Not saying he's necessarily not a team player. It's just some of the things he says after losses, after a win. I mean, he was talking shit to the Colorado State quarterback after the game. I know he probably deserved it. But be humble. Don't say, "Ah, you can't fuck with me." To the dude after a hard-fought loss to a rival, man. I mean, come on, man. But I'm not talking even more about Colorado. Good win for them. Like I said, I predicted that they'll lose. But I give flowers from flowers or do. Good win for Colorado. I want to see what they got next week. A couple of bonus games. This could have really set the College Football game on fire and really backed up my claims as upset weekend. Georgia going to Lexington to play the Kentucky Wildcats and eking out a 13-12 win. Wolf, from what I heard. This was also when I was on the date. I didn't get to catch this game either. But my uncle texted me and was like, Kentucky should have won. They should have went for it on fourth down. I don't even believe they did something. They punted it or something. I think Georgia goes down and kicks the game winning field a little. Not real sure. But when you're going to play in the number one team of the country, you go all out. You go for fourths. You go for fake puns. You block field goals. You throw everything but the kitchen sink at the number one team in the country because you never know when you're going to get that chance again. And that one really, man, I was really hoping for it. But it wasn't on my previous show. So like I said, a good win for Georgia. But they lost the number one overall spot in the AP poll because Texas is now the new number one team in the country. One SEC school to add another because they beat the brakes off UTSA 56 to 7. Not that impressive of a win. Hell, Texas State beat the brakes off UTSA two weeks ago. So, you know, that's forecasted. You know, that's definitely something I saw before coming. Queen yours doesn't play. I don't know necessarily if he got hurt or what. But archmending comes in. Goes eight shit. All he needs is opportunity. Hold on one sec. What's all been talking about? It's a good thing for Texas. Am I shooting on Texas? Absolutely not. I've said that before for, you know, since the summer time, I said this is one of the this is going to be one of the best teams in the country. Depth offense, defense, quarterback room. I like their running back room. Their wide receivers are great. Offensive line plays good. Their coaching is great. When I said that Texas can walk into the SEC and win at year one, I was not bullshitting. This is the best team in the country right now. Does it hurt to say? Hell, yeah, it hurts to say my absolute hated team in the state and not only the country or the Michigan ball Marines and the Texas long ones, man. That's a team. I just can't wait till they play Georgia later in the year. Breaking news. And this one is almost unbelievable. Yeah, it's all about new customers at bet 365 because they get $200 in bonus bets when they bet $5 and even better bonus bets can be used on the spread totals and player props. There you have it. Bet $5 to get $200 in bonus bet and see why it's never ordinary at bet basis five gambling problem. Color text 1 and 100 gambler 21 plus only must be physically located in Colorado. Cards issued by JP Morgan Chase Bank NA member FDIC subject to credit approval offer subject to change terms apply. A&M coming in as the 25th ranked team in the country going down to Gainesville to play the Florida Gators get a 13 point win, 33 to 20 against the Florida Gators. Like I said, they have the hardest schedule in all of college football. I think 11 other 12 scheduled games or against winning teams and it won't be long. I think NoBellyNapier gets fired. A&M look better than I probably think I gave him credit for but also I just don't think Florida is very good. Do they have dudes? Absolutely but good win for A&M though, 33 to 10 over Florida. Notre Dame, you know, coming in as a 17th ranked team in that country, you know, and definitely a team that got humbled. I guess I would put that as the upset of the year right now. Of course, Northern Illinois going to, you know, Notre Dame and giving them their main upset. Bounce back against a tough Purdue team too and they win 66 to 7. Is it a little too little too late? Maybe. I think Notre Dame sluts up again, you know, at some point in time. I know they get a lot of shit talk about their schedule. It's very soft but Notre Dame does that. They lose to a team they're not necessarily supposed to lose to but good bounce back win for the 17th ranked Notre Dame fighting Irish 66 to 7. And then last game, the 18th ranked Michigan Wolverines beat the Arkansas State Red Wolves 28 to 18. They're winning but man, they are just not impressing me. I'm sorry double J. I know I predicted this team to take a step back kind of like a Washington but man, I mean, this is a FCS school, the Arkansas State Red Wolves. That is a 66 to 7 type score you need to hang up. I got questions. I mean, I really do and it doesn't get any easier for Michigan. I mean, you still have Ohio State on your schedule. You still have to play USC next week. That doesn't count, you know, some of these other, you know, big 10 conference opponents that couldn't upset you and they'd love to knock off the reigning defending national champ. So I got to see a lot more from Michigan until I started giving them more credit. I give them the most credit in the world for winning the national championship last year. But like I said, that was last year. That was 2023. This is 2024. Can they bounce back? I want to see them content. I want to see them beat the living breaks out of people that they're supposed to beat. They just got to show me something and it can start week four. You can start getting more respect for CM in the 2024 season if Michigan does handle business and beat USC. So there you go, guys, that was the week three review show. I'm getting it right coming in a little over 55 minutes. I had a lot of games, but also I want to start being a little bit more like this, start giving you guys players to watch for especially, you know, quarterbacks and wide receivers health. There is a great linebacker quarterback, i.e., you know, Travis Hunter that have great games. I want to start giving you guys names. So this all translates into, you know, draft stuff. I do this for a reason. I am professor CM. I am actually coaching you and I'm teaching you because you just don't necessarily know it. Secretly teaching you the ways of this college football game, giving you all these scores, giving you all these updates. Of course, throwing in my insight. Like I said, wasn't necessarily upset weekend, but it still got it done. I didn't necessarily hit the nail on the head, but it got done. You know, a lot of really interesting match ups, like I said, that happened and I hope you guys enjoyed it. I watched as much as I possibly could. Like I said, I had a date night, but week four should be a little of a lesser, you know, week, you know, not really much rivalry games, but they're still going to be a really good, you know, allotment of games. They're probably not going to be as many been looking into it. And I will get that to you guys later in the week with the week four preview show. I'm going to call it a big 12 spotlight weekend. I'm probably going to have quite a few big 12 games on there because like I said before earlier in this show. I think that conference is wide open. It could be one of eight schools could potentially be playing in Dallas, you know, and Jones AT&T and playing for that big 12 championship because I don't think anybody right now has, you know, taken that flag. If I had to give it to somebody and give it to K state, but they could flop at any moment too. You know, look at some of these schools that just quite aren't quite getting it done. You know, they can happen to K state at any given time, especially when you have a number next to your name and college football, you're going to get every team's, you know, best shot. And they want to knock you off and be that one team that, you know, is the NIU for the weekend. So that does it for me guys. I will talk to you guys very, very soon. Big shout out to the boys at the football function. Mr. Ritter, Mr. Minifill, that boy Goose, Mr. Grim Reaper as well doing his thing with the bets. You guys take care of you guys. I will talk to you guys very, very soon. Like I said, with the week four preview show, follow us on football function 2.0 on Instagram, or if you're a Facebook person, we have a Facebook page as well. Just Facebook football function. Look for the cool little decal. And you know, give us comments, give us likes, all that good stuff. And just keep following us. Give us likes, comments, promote, show this show to friends, play this on the job site, listen to it while you work out. I'm trying not to make these shows very long. But like I've said before, I have this script. I want to give you guys as much information as I possibly can because I know college football can be very overwhelming. But if you listen to my show and if you pay attention, you will be prepared. I promise you, especially once as these weeks start to build up and these players start being talked about more and more on, you know, respected networks. I want to beat those guys to the punch. I want to let you guys know about a John Matier, you know, quarterback for Wazoo before everybody else starts talking about. I am a professor at the end. I do exactly what I want to. I want to give you guys as much stuff as I possibly can to get you guys ready for all these upcoming weeks because it's coming fast and furious. And by the end of week four, we're definitely going to know who is a contender, who could be a pretender. So you guys take care. God bless. Because Mike will talk to you very very soon with a week before a preview show. Know who you are, know who you serve, know where you're going and know what to do when you get there. All right, guys. Take care. God bless. See him. Love you. Reckle. Breaking news from this one is almost unbelievable. Yeah, it's all about new customers at Bet365 because they get $200 in bonus bets when they bet $5 and even better bonus bets can be used on the spread, totals, and player props. There you have it.
