And Cap is our last time that we talked to our listeners and our viewers about the Bears and Colts is gonna take place on Sunday and get full coverage starting at 7 a.m. right here on ESPN 1,000 on Sunday morning and Cap, again, we've gotta be able to come to a consensus what our pick is gonna be with the Bears and Colts. We know it's on the line. The Bears are one in one, you know, coming off some things that they need to work on for this game on Sunday. And then a desperate Colts team. Oh and two that's banged up defensively. This will be a very interesting story by the time you get around to 325 on Sunday. Completely agree with you, a thousand percent. I truly believe the Bears are gonna win the football game. I think the defense can harass Anthony Richardson, who's a wildly talented guy, but he's still at this early stage of his career as a propensity for turning it over. But you gotta run the football. That team is banged up on the defensive line. Latte Latu, the kid from UCLA, did not practice. They've already put DeForest Buckner on the injury reserve list. He's gone at least a month with a severe high ankle sprain. So guess what? It is time to run the football, go double tight ends, get yourself a 12 personnel, and then make plays in the passive game when you establish the run. I went back waddle studies the all 22 multiple times. I watched it. He was not bad. He was not, when he was clean, he could complete it. 77% of his passes for 140 some yards. Let's start running downhill, smash people in the mouth, and then you'll have an ability to take some shots down the field. It's a big game, man. It's not a must win. There aren't a must wins like that. This is a big game. You have an opponent that's wounded. You gotta go take advantage. - And a dangerous one at that, Cap, because when you're Owen too, the last thing that the Colts want to do is stare at Owen three and their season being over. And again, there's a lot of things that are against them in this game. I, it's not about, you know, many refloos told us this past Monday about the crowd in Houston and the silent count. We're going to get some of that coming up in Indianapolis on Sunday. There'll be a lot of Bears fans there, a lot of Colts fans. So there's going to be a lot of noise on both sides. So I would imagine first time around against Houston, especially with the penalties for some of the offensive linemen, that sucked because they kept putting you behind the sticks time and time again. My hope is, is that this offensive line is ready for again, a hostile crowd in Indianapolis. - Yeah, and with the way that the Bears defense is playing, and I'm not expecting shutouts, there's going to be opportunities to make plays though. You got to get pressure on this kid, harass Anthony Richardson. And you got to stop the run first and foremost because they do have the best running back in the game. Jonathan Taylor is a star, a absolute monster. So we've seen the Bears the first two weeks struggle against the run early in the game, whether it was Tony Pollard for Tennessee, whether it was Joe mixing early, and then they were able to settle down and make it life really tough on him till he suffered, I think an ankle injury in the hip drop tackle that wasn't called, you have got to stuff the run and then harass that kid. It lets you pin your ears back and go after the quarterback. So we're going to see how things shake out, but I think the start is very, very important. You've got to get Caleb comfortable and then be able to make some plays and score some points. - Indeed it is on Caleb Williams and the offensive line to figure out how to get this done and to be able to be comfortable and score points and be able to not shoot yourself in the foot so often. A lot of this also comes from Shane Waldron, the offensive coordinator. What is his game plan going into this game against Indianapolis? Some thoughts from Waldron yesterday. Here's one that didn't I expect. Talk about this for a question. Don't you feel like you're asking Caleb to do too much right now? - I think Caleb's done a great job with what he's been asked to do, don't feel like it's been too much and I think more of it is the game reps, the live reps so to speak in regular season here and he's continued to grow and I can't say enough about his attitude each day. It comes into work, ready to learn, ready to continue. You're going to see different blitz patterns. You're going to see different front structures. You're going to see game plan elements every single week and I think for him, the more reps he gets, the more times he sees it in those game scenarios, the better he's going to continue to get every single week. - Yeah, what about the running backs and the rotation of the running backs? - Yeah, I feel like we have a good group of running backs. I think Chad Morton and Jennifer King have done a good job of allowing those guys to gain a lot of reps and different styles of run throughout the course of the season. I mean, throughout the course of our training camp, heading into the season here. And now it's about finding that rhythm as a whole, feel good with Swift and with Khalil and with Roshon and the different styles that they can bring. So yeah, each week evaluating what fits them best. And like I said, every week has its own individual entity and figuring out how they fit into the game plan this week, how we can maximize their tools. - Wonder how he fits into how those running backs fit into his game plan this week. - Yeah, I would like to see more, as I've said to you, between the tackle running, take an advantage of some opportunities, let your offensive lineman eat, let him just go out and hit people in the mouth. Let's just go, bam. Not, oh man, we're on silent count. They're a click lay getting off. I mean, what are we doing here? - We've got to be smarter. If you want to use cold commit Mercedes Lewis or cold commit Gerald Everett or Mercedes Lewis, Gerald whatever combination, I don't care. Do whatever you have to do to establish the run and then you watch Caleb make place. I will predict Caleb gets his first touchdown pass. - Sure. - And I think he's going to hit a couple of big passes. I really, really do. - I think that they can work on that secondary. First of all, as we talked about all week, the defensive line for the Colts is banged up. But the other thing is, is that I think because these weapons that we talked about, that we lauded for a long time, the Moors, the Adunzays, the key now in the fees available, the Andre Carter has been a player for the last couple of weeks. You can utilize those guys cap. I mean, again, it doesn't have to be 40 yard passes. It's just matriculate the ball down the field. Because Caleb Williams loves Aaron Rodgers so much, I think that the game plan that Rodgers put out there for the Jets and their matchup against the Patriots yesterday, is perfect, pitch and catch. Get the ball down the field, get comfortable, roll out to the left or the right, try to find your receivers and just get comfortable. I know that the line for the Jets is better than the Bears. But the point is though, the game plan is the same. Just getting comfortable. Rodgers was in no hurry yesterday. - He was not. - No hurry. You could see, now again, he's 41 years old. They're 40 years old, whatever he is. - Yeah. - And Caleb's 22. And Rodgers has, you know, top five quarterbacks of all time on his resume. Caleb hasn't done anything yet. But he slowed the game down. You could see, first of all, he ran for first down. And I mean, I don't know what his rushing total number was on the prop heading, but I guarantee you, he went over. And then there was one where he rolled to the right, to the bottom of the screen. Here that comes the pressure. He looked just like Caleb does, spinning away. And then he just looked and there's my tight end right there. Boop. - Yep. - Getting a 10. - Yep. - I wasn't worried about, oh my God, I gotta hit the 90-yard bomb. Just get the ball out and get it. Where it has to go. - Yes. - Period. - And they dominate and then their defense just came to eat. Oh man, did they make things tough. And then the Patriots got the ball into the red zone and Drake May was in. And he dropped back and he actually had a receiver open, but before he could even pull the trigger, there are three green defenders engulfing him to the ground. - Yeah. - Yeah. Super cool. That I think because he loves Aaron Rodgers and I know that the media and the fans are like, oh, why is this guy talking about Aaron Rodgers so much? It's because Rodgers makes it look easy. When he's in a rhythm, he makes it look easy. Kind of like a starting pitcher. Just like you could just tell. 90 pitches, he's back there like Bob Ross just painting the corners, whatever he's gotta do. Same thing with Aaron Rodgers. And so if Caleb likes him so much, I hope he watched that game because I know that Rodgers makes the game look easy. Caleb could do the same thing. I know the offensive line is a big factor, but also he's got a number of weapons he can utilize. This is not just the old bears, where it's just one guy. He got three or four guys you can go after. And one of them, by the way, is not named Gerald Everett. - Correct. - You don't have to force feed the ball to Everett just because Waldron says so. - Yeah, I mean, if he's there and make a plan to pass the game, go for it. - But I would prefer to see them establish the run with Cole Comette leading the way and Marc Sadie's Lewis. I just pull it, drive it right through, see you tomorrow. - Yeah. - Damn. - That's right, Jack. He gets a car wash seven days a week. Sometimes he brings the car. Let's go in here now from Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the Chicago Bears. Well, what's Cap doing in the car wash? That's weird, he didn't bring his car this time. He must've forgot. - He keeps me clean. - Yeah, so the thoughts now from Caleb Williams, how to stop the pressure? - I think, one community-- - Wow, smokey. Hold on a second. Geez. - Happy. - Chinook, hold on a second. That's not what I expected there. All right. - I think one communication is making just faster adjustments throughout the game. Having better communication between myself, coaches, and Auburn to line and things like that. I make sure I want the same page and making the adjustments we need to in-game. Obviously, you have adjustments and things like that that you practice throughout the week, but the other team's job is to try and confuse you. There are different things at you, different looks, and so being able to adjust quickly in-game, I think is the most important thing in starts for communication. I think one of the things we'll be able to do really well soon is I think we'll be able to run the ball. Trying to figure out exactly what runs fit best with our personnel, the people we have. I think that's the thing that's going to emerge here really soon, you know, and having confidence and keeping it as fast with that, you know, with running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, everybody, you know, having confidence that we're going to, you know, we're going to break through and figure out exactly what, you know, what our personality is of the run. And then other than that, I think that's probably, I think that's probably the one that I think is going to come faster than others. - That's it. - Surprise, surprise. - Make you smoke? - That's it. - But he's right though. He says it's just about the personnel. What personnel matches what they want to do? And he talked also about running the football there, so he's right. - So there was a play on the All-22 where Caleb made an adjustment at the line in the protection and it was the right call. It's having a jam, it's still got beat. Like they adjusted to get some out, he's still got beat. - Yeah. - So if you're not healthy, don't play. If you're healthy, do your freaking job. - That's it. So the Bears will win if 3, 1, 2, 3, 3, 2, 3, 7, 7, 6, 7, 4, and we've laid out. Now the defense being opportunistic cap, does continue to do what you're doing and then some. Because you're needed with a rookie quarterback, he can't put it all on his back. Just keep doing what you're doing. By being opportunistic, being able to get turnovers, punch the ball out, just give the offense multiple opportunities more than they think to be able to get it done offensively. Punch the ball out, do what you gotta do there. Of course the offensive line has to be able to hold up. Seven sacks, how about two? - Yeah. - Can we get two? - That'd be great. They're getting a perfect game. The other team gets paid too, everyone forgets that. They get paid, they got good football players, but let's go. They will win if they run for in excess of 125 yards. - I think that's possible. That's gonna be spread across the running backs. - Correct. - Oh, speaking of running backs cap, you mentioned a couple of them, but there's one that you didn't mention, which I find very interesting about a time we get to kick off. Will Vales Jones be available? - So he's been at wide receiver in practice this week, which tells me that Keenan Allen's not playing again. They're saying that Keenan Allen's thing, while they're calling it a heel, might be a form of planter fasciitis. Take, I heard Sylvie say it took him three. Sylvie, I know you're awake. Text me if I'm wrong. I think Sylvie said it took him three years to feel 100% better from his planter fasciitis. I had planter fasciitis. It's awful. I can't imagine being six, five or whatever he is. - Yeah. - Not Sylvie, Keenan Allen. - Damn. - That's not right. - I just want to be clear. - There's this awful. Just leave him alone. - I'm pretty tall, right? - No, you're like five, eight with me. - I'll dunk on your ass. - What? (laughing) (audience laughing) - I'm sure Sylvie said it took three years. Keenan Allen doesn't have three years, obviously. But playing with planter fasciitis, taking from a guy who had it, it's horrible. Horrible. I do not wish planter fasciitis on anybody. - So you're saying that he's working with the wide receivers when you already have DJ Moore, Roma Dunes A Tyler Scott DeAndre Carter? - Correct. - I'm just saying, like, could Jones be active to be able to have one of those running plays we're talking about? Like it's one thing that we have Swift and Khalil Herbert. I'm gonna take the over and rushes for Khalil Herbert, over two, over two carries. - Is that the line? - I mean, no, that's a line I'm putting 'cause the first couple of games, the first couple of games, he's only run the ball what, twice? - Yeah. - In each game? - Right. - So I'll just say over two. Over two carries. - At the break, I'm gonna look up on the app. What is the carries for Khalil Herbert? And if it's like three and a half? - Over. - In. - That's the hope. - Like seven and a half? - Okay, now we're flirting with, if DeAndre Swift gets going early, they may just feed him. - I just, that's the one thing I wonder about the inactives, about Vales Jones. I think there was a right thing to do for the Houston game 'cause it sends a message. That's why one of the things, if you just joined us today, we talked about this week is, do you send a message on the offensive line by having Nate Davis not inactive 'cause it's a numbers game. He can't just bench him. But he didn't have to start. And Matt Pryor could be in his position at right guard. - Correct, correct. So, I mean, so if, I'd like to know the surprise inactive for this, if there is one for this Sunday. And I wonder if Vales is part of that. - Well. - Or Tyler Scott. - No, there's no, not if Keenan Allen's out. - 'Cause he was inactive in week one. - Correct. - But you had Keenan Allen then. So if Keenan Allen can't go, and I'm gonna bet that he's not, he hasn't practiced, I'm gonna say he doesn't play, then Tyler Scott could make a play in the passing game. Or Rome. - Get ready, Rome. You could be wearing number 13 next year if you want to. - 'Cause Keenan Allen, it's not a surprise to us, 'cause we talked about this this summer. Like we, Keenan Allen's here for a song. And if he's able to play more than 16, 17 games, then we could talk contract extension, but that's not, it doesn't look like that's gonna be the case. Not even a song, a hook. - That's just the hook, right? Not even a song. - Just a little bit. - Just the one stanza. That's all that he gets. - That's it. - We have some Cubs in Sox news that we're gonna get to here this next half hour. - Oh boy. - If you missed it overnight, you need to hear what we have laid out for you. So the Bears are still underdogs in this game at minus one and a half, or Bears are plus one and a half Colts or minus one and a half. I feel like the national perspective on this game is a little bit different than our perspective. I feel like a lot of fans are going in thinking, the Bears should win this game. By the time we get to... - There's a lot of people that believe the Colts are gonna win the football game. I mean, a lot of handicappers that follow, they've got the Colts winning. - Are you taking the Colts cap? - No, one of my top plays of the weekend is the Bears. My best bet of the weekend was the Jets. - So, Jack, as we talked about the beginning of the show, the storyline is is that if the Colts go on three, that'll be all. - Correct. - And again, they're at home. I feel like the advantage goes to them because they're at home from a gambler standpoint, like, at Lucas Oil, we're gonna give you at least one and a half. But we just feel like the Bears will have some momentum coming off the Texans game, in which they were not blown out. They fell short because the offensive line and the offense wasn't good. But I'm taking the Bears. - I haven't bet it yet, but I'm gonna click Bears. - Colts might be desperate. They might send the book at the Bears. Pull out every stop. All the trick plays, everything they have. - I think that's one of the reasons why that it's one and a half. They feel like it's a desperate all-in-two team. - It's absolutely a desperate team. They've got talent just because the Forrest Buckner and a lot two may not play. Did you see that throw Anthony Richardson made in week one, Alec Pierce? Chicago's very own. We called his brother Caden Pierce's game against Ronnie James. - Oh yeah, dude, we did? - Yeah, okay. - Remember at Wind Trust? - Yes, I did. - And that's his brother. Alec Pierce played at Cincinnati. He's a stud. And remember that throw by Richardson? It's one of the best throws I've ever seen. - There's flashes there, but flashes get you fired also. - Correct. - So, there's a flash though. So, Jack, do you, so I think that, and ask the question again. - Should the Bears be favored in this game? - I think that they should be. I think that's a shot they should be. - But it'd be close line. The Bears haven't proven anything yet. They haven't. That's the fact of the matter. - But this is a game you gotta get healthy. - In my mind, yes, but we're gonna find out. Jack, what's next? - So, Shouei Otani last night was phenomenal. First 50-50 player in MLB history. Last night, he went six for six, two doubles, three home runs, 10 RBIs, two stolen bases. - He's overrated. - Major League Baseball put out an article today saying this could be the best offensive performance of all time. Shot or no shot. This game was more impressive than Kerry Wood's 20-strikeout game. - I mean-- - No, that's, well, that is a shot. That's a shot. You know, in all this, Cathy, didn't strike out, then walk. Didn't have to. - Correct. - First six with 10 RBIs in a game. You and I have seen five for five, four for four. We've seen three home run games from a player. Four home run plays at Tuffy Rhodes. - Tuffy Rhodes had three home runs. - Three home runs at the game, right? - Mark Whitten hit four home runs. - Kiss the Sox? - I don't know if it was against the Sox, but I remember him doing that. - I-- - Cap, that's an amazing day. - Incredible. I don't know if it's better than Kerry Wood's 20-strikeout game. That's the highest-scored, pitched game in the history of baseball, where they keep the game score. That's the number one game of all time. Kerry Wood's nine inning, 20-strikeout, one hit, which could have been an error. Domination of a good Houston Astros team with Bagwell and BGO and Derrick Bell and the rest of them. - Me, it's six of one half dozen or another, but they're also one offs. You never, you don't see those. Like what he did yesterday, Otani. They'll probably never do again. Maybe he will, but I mean, he's a Hall of Fame player. It's what you expect. - It's not an interesting thing about this, Jack. It is, it's a shot for me. He's worth every dime. Every dime-- - Dave Roberts said that after the game. - Yeah, every deferred dollar. He's worth it all. By the way, him doing this in Miami, this is the same Miami, the same stadium in which Otani struck out Mike Trout in the world baseball classic. Same place. There's a lot of symmetry there. And six for six with 10 RBIs is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen from one individual player immediately baseball. He carried the ball club to a clincher. 20 to four? Come on, man. Come on, 10 RBIs. - Three homers? - Yeah, he's incredible. - I mean, it's-- - It is unbelievable he's-- again, he's getting $700 million. We were like, what? He's earning it. - And by the way, he will finally, after almost 700 games in his career, will make the postseason. - Yeah, first time in the postseason for him. - No other player in Major League Baseball has had to wait this long to get to the postseason. Otani is finally gonna get there after all those years. - What do you mean, what are the criteria when you say no other player? 'Cause Trout's never been in the playoffs. - Major League Baseball. - Yeah. - You remember, Trout's missed a lot of time, too. - He has. - So, Otani, right now-- - In terms of number of games? - Yeah, yeah. 'Cause it would be Trout, but he's never available. So, Otani is finally gonna make the playoffs, and he does that. It's incredible. - Supposedly they're gonna move Trout, maybe the first base. - Yeah. - Fine. - Yeah. - I mean, whatever can get him on the field, that'd be great. - Keep him healthy. - Say what you wanna say about Chris Bryant. I don't expect Chris Bryant to be Mike Trout, but the idea that Mike Trout cannot stay on the field. That's horrendous. - Yeah, he's street clothes, Anthony Davis. - Holy cow. - Crazy. - All right, Jack. - I was sticking on this subject. 47 players in all of Major League Baseball history have achieved a 30-30 season. Six of those have come in the last two years. So, it's becoming more and more common to have a 30-30 season. We've now seen a 50-50 season from Shohei Otani. Shot or no-shot, a 30-30 season is no longer really that special, and 40-40 is the new 30-30, because we've had two of those in the past two years. - I'm gonna say no-shot. 30-30 is still super impressive. Super impressive. 30 bombs? - Yeah. - It's still impressive, and you can run like that. Akuna Jr., who's out again with an ACL injury, he's a 40-40 guy. Soriano was a 40-40 guy. Like, those are rare. 50-50? That's an entirely different universe. - Yeah, I would say that it's all impressive, Jack. All of it. The 30s, the 40s, and of course, with Otani being 50-50, over 50-50 now, is just incredible to me. Just a great, I mean, so, we're talking about one of the all-time greats now, before we even steps into the postseason. Think about that. All the numbers he's put up is doing it in a Dodger uniform. - So this now, we have to have the conversation about all-time great Dodgers, and as long as Otani's gotta be there, will he be in that top five of great Dodgers of all time? - Otani? - Not based on this year, but his tenure with the Dodgers, before it's all squared away. Could he be in that top five? Definitely top 10. - Absolutely. - Could he be in the top five? - Could he be in number one? - Oh, let's take a look. Hang on. Let's see what happens in the postseason too now, because all this regular season stuff is great, but you know you make your bones in the postseason. - Correct. We're, you're facing ones, twos, and threes. Oh, we're not getting a spot starter today. We're getting the best of the best. The bullpen shortens. Yeah, it gets tight. - Yeah, it's one of the great accomplishments if we've ever seen. 50-50? - It's insane. (laughing) It's truly insane. - And he hasn't pitched yet. He hasn't even pitched for the team. It's to the point where if he's got to be this good, he may not ever pitch again. - It's incredible. - He didn't have to. - No. - Jeez. - Yeah, he's amazing. - Now, now imagine that in the Cubs uniform. Here's Jack. - Oh boy. - He'll be a 60-60 guy. - It wriggly? - Yeah. - Probably. How about if he was a Yankee? - With their short ports and right feet? - Oh yeah. - Yeah. - All right, Jack. - All right, one more. So Kevin Fishbane of the Athletic did his like mailbag piece and he wrote about Montez Sweat's numbers. Just three pressure so far. No sack so far for Sweat. Shot or no shot. Montez Sweat this season has been underwhelming through the first two games. - That's a no shot. - Yeah, that's a no shot. Go back and put the tape on and see how many guys they're using to block. - Yeah. - He's getting doubled. He's getting out. I saw a play where he gets double team, then here goes a running back. Give him a shot as he goes by the chip on him. No, he has not been underwhelming. - Yeah, that's what Fishbane said. As Wally said, basically he's being double team and it's opening up for other guys. - Yeah, that's a no shot. When I want Sweat to be Aiden Hutchinson, sure. But again, this opens the door for Billings. This opens the door for others to be able to get to the quarterback. I like that, actually. Sweat will get his, but the double team of Sweat opens the door for others to be able to eat. 'Cause that's the big question we had coming in, along with the offensive line, is who would get to the quarterback? And Sweat's one of them. - And then it's Sweat and the drips, as Jay Moore says. So that's what's happening. The drips are getting to the quarterback. - There, we saw Sanborn get a sack. So Billings force a fumble. Yeah. - Sanborn. - He ate Sanborn. You're unbelievable. - We saw Tremaine. Edmonds get a sack. Yeah. - Sanborn. - Totally. By the way, Nightmare 262 says guys. Trot did make the playoffs in 2014. Why do I not remember him in the playoffs? One of the angels make the playoffs. They did. I don't remember that. He must not have done much. - I think I said, this year, out of all the players in Major League Baseball, he's the one that has not been to the playoffs. Out of all the active players, it's been-- - Yeah, you don't have no time. - Yeah. - Yeah, I mean, this guy says you're correct. 'Cause he said Trot actually made it way back in 2014. - I can't remember that. - Oh, they won the division. And then lost to the Royals swept in three straight. - Hmm. - Yeah. - So that's it. - All right, coming up, we have the picks. And that's coming up next right here on Captain J. Hood. - Captain J. Hood are back. - And you know this, man. - Chicago's home for sports, ESPN Chicago. (upbeat music) - And now it's time for the picks. Here on the Captain J. Hood Morning Show on ESPN 1000. And streaming on the ESPN Chicago app, watch the shows and all the shows on YouTube, YouTube.com. Look for ESPN Chicago and hit that subscribe button. That way you missed nothing from ESPN Chicago on our YouTube channel. Time for the picks. Here's Jack McGrath. - All right, should we go through the records from last week and overall? - Go right ahead, sir. - All right, last week, Shay went four and six. Jay Moore, four and six, Jay Hood, three and seven and Cap in the lead at five and five. Overall, Shay is nine and 11, Hood's nine and 11, Jay Moore's 11 and nine and Cap's 12 and eight. - All right, let's take a look at week three. Here's Jack McGrath. - All right, starting off in the college football slate, Illinois at Nebraska minus seven and a half. Nebraska favor. - The Huskers have been significantly better on both sides of the football under Matt Rule. Nebraska cap ranks 23rd in the country in total yards per game and points allowed per game. Illinois has got Luke Altmeyer in quarterback. He's excelled 647 yards in six touchdowns while producing zero turnovers in three games. I think it's gonna be a daunting task for Illinois. Add Nebraska, give me Nebraska minus seven and a half. - Rayola, the Nebraska quarterback, highest paid quarterback among all the new starters in college football. Making North, they're saying, I was reading yesterday, North of a million and a half dollars. He's really, really good. Nebraska has turned that thing around. That program is rolling. However, this is a massive statement game for Illinois. And while I do not believe that they will leave as victors for Memorial Stadium and Lincoln, Nebraska, they will cover the seven and a half, give me the fighting alignment. - Jack. - Well, I'm in for Shea. So Shea sent me his picks and he has Nebraska in this game. I will say this is the first time Nebraska has hosted a top 25 opponent since 2013. I think that place is going to be electric. So I would also take Nebraska. - Jay Moore, I will also take Nebraska as well. Jack. - All right, next game, USC at Michigan. Staying in the Big Ten with USC, taken on the reigning national chance. Plus five and a half, USC is favored over Michigan. - Yeah, so this is the first time that these two teams are scoring off since 1958. Orgy is the quarterback for Michigan. Of course, they switched their quarterback to Orgy. He's attempted just seven career passes and three seasons at Michigan. USC has enough firepower to be able to exploit some of the soft spots in the defense of Michigan. Give me USC minus five and a half against Michigan at the big house. - USC's traveling from the Pacific to the, I believe that's the Eastern time zone. It might still be central, but it's still a major change for them. This is their first foray into Michigan in maybe forever. While I do not think the Wolverines are going to win the football game, they run plenty of five star recruits at you. Michigan will not get punked. They won't win, they're going to lose, but they will cover the five and a half. Give me the Wolverine. - These guys did it, these guys did it, man. - Shay takes USC in this one. I really don't love the quarterback switch in such a big matchup. USC. - I'm going Michigan. I think they're putting together some wins after last week. So I think that this particular time, I think they're gonna really smash USC. - Check. - All right, Tennessee travels into Oklahoma. Tennessee favored in this one by seven points. - The Vols under head coach Josh Happell have not been very good as far as big games in the road historically. However, the quarterback Nico has been very good. It's his first start though, in a hostile environment. Watch the line of scrimmage in this one here. Oklahoma's offensive line has not been great. The Vols have won the best offensive lines in the country. Oklahoma has struggled to put points on the board. However, because it's on the road for Josh Happell, give me Oklahoma plus seven. Tennessee wins the ball game cap. Tennessee finds a way to win the ball game, but give me Oklahoma in this spot. - Yeah, I really like this Tennessee team. Nothing against Oklahoma. It's not a rivalry game for me. It's just a really good football game that my son and I are gonna cook some steaks and watch. But my friend Anthony goes to Tennessee. He and his mom are good friends. So I'll roll with my friends, my homies. Give me the Vols. - The homies. - That's awful. - Go ahead, Jack. - Shay takes Oklahoma in this one. Personally, I think Tennessee's being a bit overlooked as a top six team in the nation. I think they will go in and cover this game, but Shay's gonna take Oklahoma. - I'm rolling with Shay. I'm gonna roll with Shay. I'm gonna take Oklahoma as well. I think Tennessee wins the ball game. I just think that it's the first time that this young quarterback's gonna be in a loud, hostile environment in Norman. And I just think that I'm looking forward to a good ball game closer than the experts think. - Closer. - That guy, Hupul, he's a really good coach. - That is his name. - Josh Hypell, as I said twice already. - Hype, yeah. - Looks like Hupul with me. H-E-U, I usually would call it Hupul. - Hypell with the homies. - Hypell with the homies. - Yeah, that's awesome. - Let's go Vols. - Here's Jack. Off to the NFL. Texans add Vikings. Vikings are getting two in this game. - The Vikings are quarterback Sam Darnell against the Texans pass rush. That's what we're looking at right here. Newquil Collins, as we know from last Sunday, was exceptional against the Bears. 135 yards and a touchdown. He's the only player, by the way, in the NFL with two 100-yard games this season. Give me the Texans against the Vikings. Texans minus two. - Yeah, while the Vikings are off to a nice start, I still don't think they're a legitimate, contending team. That Texans team is legit. They won't have 12 penalties for 100 in whatever number of yards. Give me the Texans. - Shay is taking the Texans as well. Vikings seem like they're having a dream start to the season. I think the wheels are gonna fall off at some point soon in one of these tougher matchups. This is the matchup, I think it happens. - That's right. Reality check hits them in the soda. I'm rolling with the Texans. Jack. - Next game, Eagles at Saints. Saints have been the surprise team so far. They're favored by two and a half. - So the Eagles have allowed 175 yards. As far as the rush is concerned, they only have three sacks. The Eagles have allowed 11 rushing plays of 10 plus yards. Now they take on Kamara, Alvin Kamara. 5.7 yards per carry. I kind of think that the Eagles find the way to win the ball game. Give me the Eagles plus two and a half against the Saints. - Look, this Saints team was not predicted for greatness, norling had fired Dennis Allen by like week nine. Dennis Allen's sitting there going, yeah, hold on a second, Shay. We're two and all. We just eviscerated caps Cowboys in Dallas, 43 to 19. However, the Eagles have a lot of firepower, a lot of weapons. I really like this matchup, but in the end, I'm gonna buy into the New Orleans Saints for a week. Give me the Saints minus the two and a half. - Jack. - That's fine, turn your mic off. - Shay is also taking the Saints in this one. I would agree with him as well. I've seen from a lot to the outside, Eagles strength is in the middle. - You know, I don't, it's something not right. - You don't have to line or you don't like the Eagles? - Yeah, the Eagles. I had them last week and you know, you saw what happened there, but to me, it's like they're not clicking. And if AJ Brown is still out, I don't know if he's playing, I'm gonna just roll with the Saints. - Jay Moore, do me a favor, check AI Jack's battery life. How much does he have left? You see, let me just check it out, please. - I hit the button, it didn't light up, the mic didn't turn on. - No, it didn't happen. So how much, how much do you see there on the computer? - 62%, you got enough to last us to the end of the show. - Okay, 'cause at the end, who knows what's gonna happen? So he's already peedering out on us. Long week, I know, two days, AI. Next game, please. - Big game coming up for the Ravens. They need a bounce back at the Cowboys. Cowboys are getting one and a half points in this game. - Man, oh man, you know, Dallas has given up the most points consecutive home games at 92 since the winless expansion team in 1960 back in the old Cotton Bowl days. - 93, back to back, that's a lot. - You know, Cap, I think that the Cowboys find a way to win the ballgame. - I do. Ravens, their first 0-2 start since 2015. - I think the Cowboys find a way to win the ballgame. They think it had done, at Jerry World? I like the Cowboys. - Yeah, I'm with you. I do think they find a way to get it done to better team than they showed last week. - They had their lunch money taken. Give me the Cowboys. - Here we go! - Chase taking the Ravens in this one. I would as well. The Ravens secondary is bound to bounce back. They returned everybody from last year. It doesn't make sense that they're not playing well right now. Ravens. - I'll roll with the Ravens as well. - Next game, Lions at Cardinals. Cardinals are getting three in this game. - Arizona's win was dominant all phases. I mean, James Connor ran for 122 yards cap. And of course, on the other side, Aiden Hutchinson. Three sacks in the opening quarter. Last week's loss against Tampa. He finished with four and a half sacks, giving him a five and a half in the season. You know, I feel like this is gonna be a closer game. I think the Lions can win the game, but I think the Lions closer. Give me the Cardinals plus three in this one. Don't be surprised if the Lions win the game, but I think the Cardinals can give it close. - Yeah, the Lions are coming off a tough loss. - Dan Campbell just had to put his house on the market because as he said, whoa, there's plenty of space. It's on two acres, the home's beautiful. It's just that people figured out where we live when we lost. He told Crayne's Detroit business. - Dan Campbell's closing ranks. He's gonna get something a little more privacy. He's gonna come in on a business trip. And he's gonna drill the Cardinals and Kyler Murray. Give me the Lions. - Shae's got the Lions as well. - I'm with cap two. I don't think this Lions team loses two in a row, especially to the Cardinals here. - Same here. I'll take the Lions. - Next game, we've got Packers at Titans. Titans favored by two and a half points. - All right, we'll pass. Cap? - No, no, sorry, no passing allowed. - Well, I need your help. Is this the one I'm not sure about? So we know what happened with Malik Willis and the Packers. And again, they ran a hell out of the ball to win that ball game. The Titans on the other end. Can't not nearly impress. I feel like I want to lean Packers, but what do you think? I'll ask you, what do you think? - You want me to make my pick first? - I just want you to help me come to a consensus. I think my pick will be your pick 'cause I'm not sure about this game. So in the line, it is two and a half. - Ryan Callahan came out with a vote of support for... - We'll love it, yeah. - And I guarantee you there were some tough times watching that film as a team or in the quarterback room where he made another gaff that cost them a football game. That's two weeks in a row. I think they're gonna come in with that front. They're gonna do a good job against the Packer Run game, which will force Malik Willis to have to beat them. I am going with the Titans in the win. - Shae takes the Titans. I'll take the Titans as well. We've been talking about the Titans' run defense and the pass rush and how it crushed the bears. I don't think the Packers can win this game without running the ball really, really well. And 'cause I don't trust Malik Willis to win the game by throwing the ball. For that reason, I'll take the Titans. - And Jay Moore passes. - That's right. - You know I've never bet the packs, all right. - Titans? - Titans. - And Hoodies has the Titans. - I guess, yeah, I think Cap talked me into it. I wasn't sure about this game 'cause we know that Willis will start on Sunday, correct? You will be Willis. - That, I think it's still up in the air. - It's up in the air. - I don't think they're gonna put love that they don't. - I don't think love's gonna play. - I don't. - If he ever was gonna play, well, that's a tough defensive front for anybody. - Correct. - Okay, I'm just gonna roll with this. I have no idea about this one, but I'll roll with the Titans with you guys. All right, Jack, we got two more before we're here from Courtney Cronin. - We do, Trevor Lawrence needs a bounce, but bounce back with the Jaguars. Jaguars at Bills, Bills favored by five. - Give me the Bills minus five. - Wow. - I really wanna take the Jaguars. I really, really do, but they just haven't earned the respect enough for me to go. All right, I'm rolling with you. Even though I do think they have a chance to be really tough in this game, but I'll take the Bills. Gotta earn it. - Is Shay's gonna take the Bills? I'll also take the Bills. I'm with you, Cap. Their offense hasn't shown that they can compete in high scoring games, and I think the Bills are gonna eat them up, so I'll take the Bills. - Bills, Bills, Bills. Last game, the Bears at the Colts. - That's his challenge. - He else, yeah, let's go to see. - That's his challenge is checked in. (laughing) Out of the Bears. - Bears at Colts minus one and a half Colts favored. - The Bears get the job done, Cap. Nevermind about the line. The Bears win on the road, and the Colts go all in three. - Yep, I think the Bears will run the football. Their defense will play a good football game. Harass Anthony Richardson, where he's gonna go. He's gonna have their on a town. - Bears win the football game, so give me the Bears. - I'm nervous, I don't know what Vegas is seeing that we're not thinking that with us thinking that the Bears should maybe be favored in this game. I'll take the Bears, Shay'll take the Bears as well, but I'm a little bit, I'm nervous, but I think the Bears pull it out. - Bears over here, all day. You're a robot, you're not supposed to have feelings. (laughing) - Well said, baby. - All right, all right, coming up, Courtney Cronin with the latest on the Bears and the Colts.
