Hello, hello, hello. How are you today? Happy Thursday to you. This is Alan Cousin from Let's Talk. Just wanna go ahead and say happy Thursday once again to all of you out there in this big blue world that we call The Earth. Today's topic is something that I can relate to and I'm sure many of you out there can relate to mental depression, mental disability. I wanna talk about that today because I wanna strengthen the importance of mental disability and more so, depression. I don't know about you, but 2019 was a pretty good year and the next day no COVID in 2020 and then after COVID, inflation started to hit, recession started to build up on us and it's just started to get worse and worse and here we are now in 2024. We're still having some issues financially with prices going up on gas and food and home mortgages and property taxes and the ability to afford a apartment or a home is. It's quite difficult now than it was two years ago. Of course, you're not getting an increase on your wages to kind of attack the inflation of three to four and in some cases, now even 8% increase. And of course, yes, finance can cause a lot of issues and a lot of problems. We've discovered that over the years that a lot of things when you look at the inner core of the situation of a divorce or a breakup of some sort, a lot of times it will wind up being because of finance because someone brings in the money and someone spends the money and somehow another, it doesn't balance out. But there's also other situations, you know. Waking up in the morning, trying to understand when you look in the mirror, how important you are, or handsome you are, how beautiful you are. These are things that people don't think about on a daily as a problem, but it really is. It's become a constant problem actually now. Looking in that mirror sometimes could be the most deadly situation for any individual nowadays. Because you keep wondering, are you good enough? You keep asking, are you pretty enough? Are you handsome enough? Are you smart enough? Well, you know what, enough is enough. Don't ask these questions of yourself. Demand them and state the truth. And the truth is, you are, you are good enough. You are smart enough. You are pretty enough, you are handsome enough. You are who you are, and you know why? Because God made you who you are. Remember the day you were born, they called it your birthday for a reason. Because basically, you were so important that God took you, and He created someone like you that was never a duplication of anyone else. Never a carbon copy or a clone of anyone else. God made you exactly how you are because He wanted you to be so unique, so amorous, so joyful of an event that your birthday was created on that day. You know, I think about a lot of things because I do have mental depression. I have extreme depression, and I also have other forms of mental illnesses as well. That makes it difficult for me on a daily basis, but I get up every morning smiling. I get up every morning looking forward to going to work. Luckily, I do get to work from home, which is wonderful, remote, it's beautiful, so thank you very much for allowing me to have a remote job, God. It does so much for me in so many ways as far as not having to deal with the traffic on a daily, you know, in the morning or driving back and forth to work, having to waste the time just to get to work, not actually working yet, just to get to work, you know, 'cause people don't think about that. When you get a job, it's not just working at your job that you have to worry about, it's to going to your job. You know, that could be anywhere from 30 to 40 to maybe an hour just to get there. And then you have to worry about, you know, then starting your job and then coming back, so you know, and the problem is you don't get paid for the hour or, you know, going. And then you don't get paid for that coming. You don't get paid except for being at the location. And, you know, that's difficult for an individual, and you know that they're getting up in the morning or in the afternoon or at night and they're going to work, but they're not getting paid to get there. You know, they're not really feeling appreciated for being part of that agency or part of that corporation that they feel they do so much for but doesn't have much given a return. And when times like recessions occur, you have to understand it is even more difficult on individuals when it comes to trying to take care of themselves, trying to take care of their kids, trying to take care of their spouses or their family members and even, you know, just trying to take care of life, managing life, managing the ability of paying the bills on time, managing the ability of loving someone that you, that you're dealing with on a daily basis at your spouse or your domestic partner, managing the ability to afford and take care of your kids and keep them happy but also to help them to learn about life and hopefully do better than what you're doing in your current status because you want your kids, of course, to always do better than you. So much out there, so much that keeps you busy, that keeps you distracted to the point was sometimes you don't get a chance to focus on anything more so you don't get a chance to focus on yourself. But I'm here, I'm here to talk about that. I'm here to let you understand that sometimes you have to take the moment every day and focus on you. You have to take the moment every day and focus on yourself. You have to take time out of that day and focus on someone who is truly important, so important that a birthday was created in their honor and that person, this you. Sometimes we don't do that and we need to. Robin Williams was a great man. He was a great actor, a great comedian. Still amazes me, of course, how he came from another country, believe it was Russia, and he came into the United States not even knowing how to speak American. He didn't learn how to speak American, but he had a dream. He had a dream that one day he was gonna be very successful, he's gonna be an actor and he's gonna have people laugh because he was gonna make people happy by laughing and he was gonna do very well in being popular and well known for doing so. And you know what Robin did do that? Mr. Williams, I applaud you, I admire you, I miss you, but you were spectacular at doing more commendee, you know, at doing your comedian shows, at doing your movies, many great movies that we, you know, remember, like Vietnam, you know, I always remember. Hello Vietnam! You know what I mean? It's just certain things that when an individual has done something you just automatically remember, oh, that's so and so. Oh yeah, that's so and so I remember that movie or I remember that video or I remember that, you know, and it's still interesting how memories play such a great part in our life because memories really are so precious. You don't think about how precious a memory is until you lose somebody you love, until you don't have something you used to have that you miss. You know, memories are something that are like precious pearls that you keep in your mind and hold so dearly because. Owning a rental property sounds like a dream. Collect a rent and relax. No one can take away those that you have created and shared with others. And in many times, I think, when there is an individual in a medical hospital, that's in the coma, right? And I always tell people, you know, that have come to me and said, Alan, you know, I hope he's doing okay, or she's doing okay. You know, I don't know how they're feeling. I wish I can wake them up. And I would say, just remember, though, how many memories did you create with that individual? How many happy moments did you share individually with that individual? Because trust me, right now, even though they're in that coma, they're thinking about all those brilliant, happy memories that they share with you. And they are. But the thing is, sometimes we forget to think about those same special memories that we shared with others to make us feel better about ourselves. Look at the good times in life and keep that as your spiritual God, as your motivation to get back to where you were if you're not there at this time. Don't just give up. Don't just say, I can't do it, or it's too hard, or how can I find the answer? No, look back in your mind. Look back and see how important you were when you were first born. And all the special memories you created with so many people that enjoyed being around you. And enjoyed your time, because you're an amazing person. And use that to rekindle that fire, that flame that temporarily blew out or it might be a little lower than it used to be. Make that flame burn bright again, make it shine, and do what you have done before, but this time, do it even better, because that's what you can. You know why? 'Cause you're important, you're intelligent, you're great, but more so, you're amazing, and you're you. Don't ever forget that. Don't ever forget how important you are to you. When you're looking at mirror, looking at mirror, and say, I am somebody. Once again, I say, I am somebody. And don't forget that, and tell yourself how handsome you are, how beautiful you are, how great you are, how powerful you are, how intelligent you are, and how you're going to conquer the world, because you are somebody. 'Cause I know you're somebody, and I believe in you, and there's many other people out there that you don't even think about who believe in you. But the thing is, guess what, you need to believe in you. And that's difficult to do, I know. But you can do it, because guess what, I do it every day. Every day I wake up, and I believe in myself. Every day I don't give up, even at the worst of times, and I've had some situations this year, and especially last year, that really brought me down to the point where I thought the best thing to do was to just give up, but I didn't. We're gonna talk about that, but at first, I'm gonna let you listen to a song. And, you know, a song that we all can relate to, but a song that can make you feel good about yourself and realize that you are somebody and that you can make it happen. You can make anything happen if you really put your mind towards it. So, we're gonna go ahead and let Sia remind us of how to do that, okay? (mouse clicking) - I see ya on Amazon Music. See ya. (mouse clicking) Sorry about that, technical difficulties, of course. Sometimes you have a good day, sometimes you have minor things. But yet, as I said, you don't give up, you strive on. So as you could see, hey, minor difficulty, and I move on. I have to talk to my technician next time. But anyway, there's see it, we're unstoppable. And, you know, I'm sure a lot of you right now can relate to that. A lot of you needed to hear that, because a lot of you were having difficulties, you know, with getting through the day, with understanding how can I get through today? Because times are hard. We know this, times are extremely hard. But you know what? Never meant you can't get through it. And you can't say that you've never had a hard time in your life. I mean, as a human being living in your life as a child, as an adult, you've always had some critical times where you had to face the music, so to speak. You had to handle a situation and you were nervous. You were not sure of it. Or you had to, you know, go to school for the first day. And you were very nervous because you didn't know anyone and there was a new environment. Or you had to go to college. And once again, new environment, or you had to go to a new job. And once again, new environment, new people. But you did it. You found the way to go there. You handled it. You did it and you surprisingly did it again and again and again. And you achieved the ability of doing it to the point where it became normal. You don't think about that, do you? You don't think about how many times you've made achievements and at first there were fears. But you had fate in yourself. You had a motivation and determination not to give in and to move forward and to move on and to do successfully well. And you did. Sometimes you need to be reminded of that. Sometimes someone needs to remind you of that. And so I, Alan Cousin of Get Up Radio Media, I'm reminding you, I'm reminding you of the many times you've had situations, tribulations that you had to face with fear and you defeated with fate and motivational power in yourself. I'm reminding you how many times you've won against life. I'm reminding you of how many times you succeeded in life. I remind you right now of how important you are and how amazing you are in life that without you life would not actually be the same. And yes, many people die every day. So you're thinking, if I die, who's gonna miss me? Or how am I gonna be different? How is life gonna change because of me? You'd be amazed. You'd be amazed how many people might rely on you every day to make their life better, to rely on you, to make them feel good, to rely on you when they have a problem, to come to you for the solution. Because you don't ever think about how important you are. You don't think about the core, the magical inner core inside you and how important that core is to the point that when it generates electricity, it's on fire. It's a magnitude of pulses of energy that makes people attracted to you to the point that you are that important to not only yourself, but more so to them. And that's how amazing you are. That's how critical you are to this world. That's how important you are to life. That's how much life needs you. So I'm telling you this. I'm reminding you of this, that you are a ball of light that is so energetic, that is so cosmos, that you cannot leave this world. You cannot give up. You cannot surrender. You must go on. You must get through this. No matter how hard it gets, guess what? When you fall, just pick yourself back up and walk again. 'Cause you can. 'Cause you've done it many times before. And guess what? You can do it again. In these last two years, I lost a domestic partner of 10 years, 10 years. You don't think about that. That's 3,650 days. I spent time with someone. And then they're gone. And it hurt. It was very difficult for me, you know? And I lived in a very alternative lifestyle, you know? So I lived in a poly lifestyle, which means that I lived in more than one person. But we had purpose in life to each other, to the point where we had honesty, trust, respect, you know? It wasn't something where we went outside the family, or outside the household to deal with other people, which is strictly us. And we enjoyed being with each other, because we enjoyed each other's company. We enjoyed having fun with each other. It was like a family in itself. Do a little bit on the different side. It still was a family. And when I lost that domestic partner of 10 years, it hurt critically. Because she got jealous, because she thought that I loved someone more than her, and I didn't. She didn't realize how important she was to me. And then the person who she was jealous of, she moved in, and I've been knowing her for three years, right? And then she left. But how does that feel? When you lose a partner of 10 years, or for someone else that really wasn't a problem at all, to be honest with you. But then, that person also leaves you. Now tell me how do you get through that, right? How do you get through that? Owning a rental property sounds like a dream. Collect a rent, and relax. And then going to bed at night, trying to close your eyes and dream and not feel like you have PTSD because all of those memories now that were once beautiful are now being your nightmares because you are seeing these moments that you are with this individual. Now the individual is no longer there when you open your eyes and next morning looking for them. Or when you wake up in the middle of the night and sweat because you want them and you need them, but they're not there. Think about that. But guess what? I'm still here. And guess what? I'm going to still be here. Now am I going to go look for another woman? No. I have a beautiful young lady named Catherine that's here. And she's not going to leave. Because you know what she told me? She said, "I don't know why they left you. I don't know what the reasons were or what they felt was wrong with the situation. But what I see in front of me is an intelligent, handsome gentleman that cares so deeply about me that no matter what he will always do whatever he has to to put me first. And he has always put me first. And that's why I love him dearly because he puts me first and takes care of me. No matter what. He makes things right when things look go wrong. And you know, Catherine, thank you. Thank you so much for being that critical element. Thank you for being me as I'm being to others today to let me know how important I am. So when I look in that mirror every morning, I know that there is a reason, there is a purpose for me to wake up in the morning. And it's not just for Catherine. It's for myself and for others. To make others feel good about themselves, to help others be positive, to help others succeed, to show how important and amazing I am and show my talents so that others may grow from them. And I may grow as well. Now I put Catherine there for a reason. Even though she left at one time, funny enough, but came back and said she would never leave again and she's not. It's amazing how you don't really think about what you have. And sometimes, life is so good that you start to take it for granted. You start to not realize the important benefits that you got such a good life and that you're one of few that don't have to stress over paying bills or going out to eat, taking a shower or bath or going out and driving in your car that's working without any issues or having electricity in water or an air conditioner or heat or when necessarily needed or a nice bed to sleep in and a firm mattress and online streaming. You know, I can go on and on. Of the many things that you have, these things that you take for granted that you don't even consider how very few people might actually have those same things. But you have them. You were graced and blessed with having that while others are all struggling. Sometimes working two jobs just to live. Not to enjoy life, just to live life. Appreciation is something we need to remember. Appreciation is something we tend to forget because sometimes we get so distracted by life and by others that we sometimes forget to appreciate life itself. Just waking up in the morning every single day. Because remember, it's not promised. When you were born, you were never told, "Okay now, you're born. All right, we're going to have you here until about 40 or 40? Yeah, 40. You're going to be going at 40, all right? Hey, you, by the way, you're born. You're going to be born. Yeah, we're keeping you to a 60, okay? And you right there. Yeah, you were born today and you're lucky. You're going to stay until 80. No, no, no. You can't even say, "Oh, you're born. This is how long you're living." You don't know how long you're living. You have no idea how long you're living. So therefore, if you don't know how long you're living, you know what that means? You need to live life every day as if it's your last. You need to succeed in life as if your ability to be noticed and placed in history might only be that day, that one day. That day to change who you are, to change others, to make a path, to make a moment in time might be that day. Don't say, "Well, I got until you may not have until tomorrow. Do it now." Well, you know, I'll procrastinate and do it later. No, don't procrastinate and do it later. Do it now. That's one thing about me. I'm a Sagittarius. And one thing about it. Boy, we can come up with some great ideas and we can do some great things before. Can we procrastinate? Now, one thing about us, yeah, we procrastinate and as the timeline gets, you know, shorter and shorter, we just find that way to get it done and we do. And we get it done before the deadline. But boy, we can procrastinate sometime. But I've learned in my years. Sometimes I go, "Nope, nope. I am not procrastinating. It's time to get this together. It's time to get this done. It's time to get this started. Let's make it happen, baby." And I get up and I do it. I mean, to help you out, to make you understand how I try to use depression as a way of being positive. I became a vegetarian, well, a Pescatarian, actually, because I still eat shrimp and fish. So I became a Pescatarian as my current love that left. She was a vegetarian. And, you know, she truly believed about, you know, eating right, being healthy. And I love that about her. I love that about her that she cared about herself. She cared about the wellness of me. She cared about me taking care of myself. And that made me feel powerful. And she didn't understand love. She didn't know what the definition of love was, unfortunately, because in her family, she didn't see love. She didn't get to find a way to mimic what she saw because her family didn't hold hands together. Her family didn't cuddle. Her family didn't show romance in front of them. So she had no idea what any of that was. And I was slowly showing her, step by step, how to love somebody in a relationship, because she had no idea how to love somebody in a relationship. Amazing but true. She had no idea. But she was learning. And she was learning very well. And I was so proud of her. And I'm still proud of her. Even though she's not here with me today, I'm still proud of her. I will always be proud of her. And I will always be there for her because I love her. I loved her. I don't stop loving someone. When you love someone, you truly love someone, you never stop loving someone. There is no such thing as, "I loved you then, but I don't love you now." If you love somebody, you will always love somebody. And that's so true. Don't ever, ever tell somebody you loved them before, but you don't love them now because you didn't love them. Because you can't turn love off because love is sacrifice. Love is constant. Love is honesty, trust, love is respect. Love is putting yourself last because you will always put them first. Love is an attraction where the day you wake up every morning, you're looking for them. When you're around them, you feel like you're all powerful. Like you can't be stopped. Like everything is beautiful. Everything is happy. Everything is great because they're there with you. That's love. And sometimes people, they forget that love. And they don't realize how important it is to continually cherish that love because that love, in all honesty, keeps them who they are. Owning a rental property sounds like a dream. That love motivates them to continually go on. That love basically makes them who they need to be. But they don't think about that until it's too late when they leave. They don't realize that when you leave somebody, it loves like a light bulb. You can't just turn it on unless you have the energetic electricity, the magnetism. That makes that energy that core strong enough. Powerful enough to make that light go on. But when you leave thinking that you're going to keep that light going, it doesn't go anymore. It doesn't shine anymore. It stops. It gets dimmer and dimmer to the point where sooner or later it actually goes out. Because you don't have that magnetic core. You don't have that magnetic energy anymore that kept that light so powerful. You don't have that love because that love that you once had is gone. Because even though that person might still love you from afar, you're not there with them. And you need to be there with them because that's what makes life. Interesting. That's what makes life amazing. That's what makes life life. That's what makes you truly happy. And them as well. You don't think about that until it's too late. And that's okay because sometimes people realize, you know, they leave and they realize what they're missing and they come back. Sometimes people have too much pride to admit that they were wrong for leaving. And they don't come back, which there's no wrong or right. I mean, there's no, oh my God, I was wrong, you know, I shouldn't have left. I mean, if a person loves you, they're not going to be like, oh, yeah. Yeah, that's right. You were wrong. I was right. They're not going to care about that. If a person loves you, all they're going to care about is one thing being with you, having you near them and being around you. And consoling you with the love that they have for you and experiencing the love that you give in return. That's what they're going to care about. Because that's all that matters. That's what's important. If you have love in your life, true love in your life, you have more than gold. You have more than diamonds. You have more than any precious metal currently in existence today because love is hard to find and love is hard to keep. But if you have it, don't let it go. Don't ever, ever let it go. Now, this one young lady, I took her on a beautiful, beautiful first date. I took her on a first date that included a Cinderella carriage ride, a nice dinner. And then we went on a beautiful helicopter ride around a city of Dallas. And that was just my first night with her because I wanted to show her how important she was to me that there was nothing I could not offer just to make the night, the most beautiful, precious romantic night. And then we stayed at the risk of Colton and Dallas afterwards. And one thing I'll never forget about that helicopter ride. And to this day, I'll never forget about that helicopter ride. Is that we had the sun on one side, sunset, and we had the moon on the other rising. And even the pilot said he never saw. And all his times flying never saw that moment of seeing the sunset as the moon rise. At the same time, both in the sky. Both in the sky, though. Straight and opposite of each other. I remember even talking to her best friend saying, "Is this going to be good? Is this going to be good? I'm getting this. Is this going to be great? Is this going?" I mean, so nervous right about making the perfect night ride. And then I had a ring for her and it was customized. And it was a nice customized oval glove ring. And it was a halo ring, so it was very, very beautiful. And I could not wait to give it to her in the helicopter like I wanted to. And I gave it to her while we was picking up her prescription of Walgreens. And she'd always last about like, "You gave it to me while we were picking up my prescription of Walgreens." I'd say, "I know, I know." But I was just so excited to give her that ring to show her how much I cared and give her something that would bond us together. And, you know, I wouldn't play this song. Because this is what I was going to do. I was going to go in the helicopter, right? And I was going to play this song. And then after the song played, I was going to say... As we are up here together, we have now become one because you are the moon and I am your son. And for days and for nights, we shall always be together forever in time as through life and through death. You will be mine. Love you. Be. So this song is for EB. If you ever hear it, you know how much I love you. Hope you enjoy it. [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] We're having technical difficulties. I apologize. One moment. We will get that song on. Of course, right? Well, I'm trying to be so romantic. Right? Magnition. Anyway, as we said, we're going to be playing that song, so it'll be in a minute. Thank you. [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] You're the light. You're the night. You're the color of my blood. You're the cure. You're the pain. You're the only thing I want to touch. Never knew that it could mean so much. So much. You're the fear. I don't care because I've never been so high. Fund me from the dark. Let me take you fast outside of light. [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] There you have it. See ya. Love me like you do. Like I said, that was the song I was gonna play basically. And unfortunately, I was gonna give it a running afterwards, right? But I didn't, right? But we can always say we did, right? But I've given out the truth now. So now I know it's the truth they've learned. If they listen to the radio station here, no, don't know. Hey, you were supposed to do it, but you did. But guess what? It was planned. That's all it matters, right? And, you know, it was difficult, you know, our relationship because I would only see her on the weekends. I would have to drive to college station every weekend to go see her, which was three and a half hours before I would drive each way. I did it for three years, you know, driving back and forth basically and sometimes flying, but mostly driving. So one time I, you know, just accumulated to see how many miles that was. And that was 45,000 miles I drove just to go see her every other weekend or almost every weekend sometimes for three years. And, you know, we've done many things together. We went out, we enjoyed dinners at the Primrose pathway, which is very nice, by the way. If you ever go to college station, I would definitely say go to the Primrose, loved so many people there, so many people that I became so close with. That was employees because, you know, we were like family to the point that they saw me almost every weekend. And, you know, our age difference was 30 years. So, you know, her mother hated me basically. How could you, how could you love a man that's so much older as my age? And I, you know, told her age is just a number. You know, it's not about the age or it's about the person, it's about the individual, you know, it's about what's inside. And I saw something in her, I saw something in E.B. that made me know in the core of my heart that she was meant to be with me. And that though I know it's going to be difficult at times, and it was difficult, you know, we've had our good times, our bad times. We had our arguments, of course, and we said things to each other that we definitely didn't mean, but it was very hurtful. But we got hurt, and going against so much, you know, with the age difference and of course then of course I was, you know, born in Spain, you know, basically I'm Spanish American because of the color of my skin, you know, people say I'm black automatically. You know, they think, oh, he's black, she's white, you know, and even though you don't think that there's still a problem with that in today's society, in some places they still are. And then Phoenix, Arizona, that's a problem, just so you know, so I'm giving you heads up if you ever go to Chandler, Arizona, or Phoenix, Arizona. You might have some little eyes watching you if you are in a biracial relationship, just giving your heads up. But, you know, like I said, there were so many things, and when I would go there, I would have to stay in a hotel, which of course, that cost me money as well. I mean, I spent thousands of dollars sometimes, or hundreds of dollars every weekend, just, you know, for the hotel and so forth, it didn't matter to me. All that mattered, it was every day when I got in that car driving there, knowing I was going to see her, knowing that I was going to be able to be around her, you know, getting her favorite cranberry juice and getting her crackers and getting her popcorn and giving her blueberries and, you know, making sure everything was just right in the hotel room, so when she got there, she had everything she needed, but more so she had me. And, you know, she went through some difficulties, but I was there no matter what the difficulty was, I was always there, no matter what the problem was, I was always there trying to help solve it, be part of the solution. Always taking the way that stressed that pain, always giving her the motivation, always helping her through her college years and, you know, making sure that she didn't give up so that she can be cum laude and, you know, be on that honor society. I know she's going to continue to do great things, and hopefully one day she'll continue to do great things with me at her side. But if not, she'll always be in my mind. She'll always be a memory in my mind, a thought in my mind. Every day she will be in my mind, because she had a small problem and she knew it due to her family. She didn't know how to love, but also she was spoiled herself. She was trying to change, and she was doing an incredible job, by the way, an incredible job. I mean, when she puts her mind to things, she gets it done, and that's why I loved about her. If she put her mind on something, she got it done. And she was great in interior decorating. Oh my god, let me tell you, she does not become a doctor, which I know she will become a neurosurgeon. She would definitely be a great interior decorator, just so you know, but either way. I want to say one thing though. I remember it was one Valentine's. She gave me a card, and on an envelope of the card, it said, "My soulmate." And she said, "Hello, my love." Happy belated Valentine's Day, because she wasn't here, of course, because she was in college, so she didn't give it to me exactly on that day. While I know I am not perfect, and have made even more milestone mistakes this week, I love you, and I'm thankful that no matter what that you wait, that you won't leave me. And I can clearly say that I need to get better, and with this next week, I plan to send your photos, call you, and be with you in bed at one in the morning daily. I'm sorry, yeah, I'm not where I need to be, or in person yet, and you are suffering over the trust that you should have for me, because I don't know how to love at this time yet. And I want to, and I'm going to change so that I'm not somebody, your friends and family doubt, but someone that you can love forever. And thank you for always standing by me. I will continue to do the same for you. I love you forever. Love you be. And you know, it's words that she wrote, she wrote these words in the cards, she didn't just buy a card and just say that she wrote those words, because she knew that there was a problem in our relationship, but she knew that she was not going to give up on it, she was going to find a way to do what she had to do to make it better. And I had issues myself, don't, she's not only her, you know, I have my depression and, you know, my mental disabilities, of course, so it's not just the one, one road situation, you know, it's two. And we both had things we had to fix and we were fixing and repairing them. And though you might say, well she's gone now Alan, she's left, why worry about it, you know, guess what, you ever heard that phrase, if you love someone enough, let them go free, and if it's meant that they love you enough, it's meant to be, they will return. So mate, that's what she wrote on that envelope to my soul mate. I remember the nights we talked on the phone before we even met, I remember the times we spoke about the Bible, yes we spoke about God together, because she at one time didn't believe in God anymore, and I helped her to believe in God again. Because of the moments that she was going through with her family, she felt like God was not someone that existed because why would he let her go through those moments? And I helped to explain to her how sometimes God will strengthen you by putting you through certain situations in order to make your faith stronger and make you a stronger individual by going through them and surviving it, making you a better character. And we believed in God and we were very much empathetic with each other and others and helped other people, motivated other people, we were a power couple. And yes, we had our small problems, but we were still a power couple, and that's the thing, it will never change, it will never change. If I don't see her and I die tomorrow, it will never change. If I don't see her until the day she dies and we meet again in heaven, it will never change. But I know, no matter what, I will be forever her soulmate, and no matter what she will be forever my soulmate, and no matter what my love will never end, and forever what her love will never end. Because it's a love that doesn't just go on as we live, it's a generational love, it's a dimensional love, it's a love that is part of time itself, that as time exists, that love exists. That's a powerful type of love, that's a love that people dream for, that people hope for, that people would pay anything for, because that love is priceless, because that's a love that no matter what it will always shine, it will always burn brightly, it will never go out. It may dim at times, but it will never ever stop burning. And I know that E.B. is trying to find herself, I know that she is trying to discover who she is, she is trying to improve the deficiencies that she knows she wants to improve, and she is trying to find how to appreciate life, how to appreciate love, how to appreciate me, how to appreciate herself. More so she's trying to discover how to love herself, and E.B., I believe in you. I believe in you, E.B., I know you will succeed, I know you will find in your heart that burning desire to be who you're meant to be, to be that neurosurgeon, to be that beautiful, intelligent individual that soulmate. That I met and knew from day one, connection was not a question, connection was a guarantee, and that is why I know one day, whether it be here on Earth or up in Heaven, you will be with me again. Because I believe in you, I believe in you, I love you, and I know you will succeed, and you will be the beautiful E.B. that I told you, you were going to be in the future to many things I told you, you will be that person, and you will be that person, and hopefully you'll be that person with me. But time will tell, as God does give us choice, and though the future may show me many things, as I said before, only choice can confirm that future. So for you out there, as you can tell, I have gone through struggles and strives, and even the individuals I've been with, they went through struggles and strives, but I want to let each and every one of you know, don't give up, don't give in. Today, this world, this life we live in, this holy war that we are going through, whether you know it or not, is about two powerful words, fear or fate, fear or fate. Do you have the fate to believe in yourself and believe in others and succeed, even though you will have so many possible negative outcomes come against you, so many blockades, so many falls? Will you get up and believe and have the fate and continue to strive and become the you you were meant to be and be successful as the you you were born to be? Or will you give up in fear and allow that fear to take you to consume you to make you feel as if you're nothing and not important enough and make you believe that you are meant to be alone and meant to not have and deserve anything? Which will you be? Which will you allow to consume your life, fear or fate, fate or fear? I know which one I'm going to allow, fate, and I know which one Eb is going to allow, fate. Believe in you Eb, I love you, I love you with all my heart and soul, because Eb you are my soulmate and you'll never not be anything but my soulmate and I believe in you. You will succeed and when you need to, you play this. If you ever feel that you can't succeed, you play this particular podcast for yourself, so that you remember that there's someone out there. So, hope you enjoy this next song. [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] [ Silence ] Here you have it, Glory. I once again apologize about the technical difficulties. It seems like Joe is trying to cause me some problems today. Joe, I know you're out there, but guess what? It's not going to stop me from doing what I'm doing, so I'm just letting you know. It ain't happening, Joe. It ain't happening, Joe. For those who understand me, you know what I'm talking about. For those who don't hate, just go with the road, just go with the flow. But anyway, yeah, I remember we had a cat named Goose and we had three beautiful rats. That's right, three beautiful rats. We had three beautiful rats. We were going to have a dog named Charles, of course, but we had three beautiful rats. Rigatoni, tortellini, and sprigatoni. I mean, Rigatoni, tortellini, and sprigatoni. I'm saying it wrong, but you know, you get the giraffes, it was all based on pasta. And two of them unfortunately passed away, and you learn heaven, right heaven. And tortellini's still around, and you know, I miss tortellini, I miss my boy, you know. I miss having him, you know, around, you know, rubbing him on his head, patting him on his belly. But you know, kids need their mother. I've learned that a long time ago, kids need their mother more than their father. So, you know, I allowed E.B. to have tortellini because, you know, a child needs his mother more than his father first. So, but I still, you know, look at the videos and pictures and think about him. And of course, think about E.B. at times and talk about the good times and the, you know, moments that I'll never forget. The special memories that I will always have, the photos that I have in my phone. Oh my God, do I have so many photos and videos. And of course, you know, Google and Apple just pops up with photo of the day or what happened on this day a year ago, three years ago. And I'm seeing her, you know, and I'm like, yep, that was us, you know, and you know what, at first it hurt. At first it hurt when I saw it, it was painful for me. But now when I look at it and when they pop up, I smile. Because I smile because I know that I had the opportunity to be with her for that moment in time, that that moment in time was mine. I can claim that. No one else can't. I can claim that moment in time. I can say she was so important that she took the time out to be with me and I was so important that I took the time out to be with her. We were important to each other that we took the time to be with each other in all those moments to create all those memories, to spend all those hours, minutes, seconds together. We did that because we were important to each other because we were so mates. No matter what people may believe, no matter what people may think we were and still are so mates. And we will forever be so mates. No one will ever replace her. I will not get Charles until I see her again. And if not, then I will always think about Prince Charles because I was going to be our, you know, our dog, Yorkie, Prince Charles. But I will always look at my pictures of Torlini and Spigaroni and I will always think about her. No matter what, and I will enjoy those photos. I want to destroy those photos. I want to delete those videos. I will look at them. Smile. Because one day she's going to be very, very powerful and very well known. She's going to go through a lot of struggles and get there. She might have to play that song "Glory" to help her to get there, you know, or play this podcast to help her to get there. But she's going to, I remember one day I brought her to the Cosmos Club and, you know, the Cosmos Club in Washington, DC isn't a very exclusive club. You know, you just can't go there. You have to be invited and allowed to stay at the Cosmos Club and go there because noble peace prize people were there. Scientists lived, stayed there. Presidents stayed there. The National Geographic was actually created there. And it's this beautiful ballroom. Oh, it's this magnificent, beautiful ballroom. And we went there. And we looked at that ballroom. And we looked at each other and said, "This will be what we get married. This will be the place that we get married. This will be the ballroom that we dance in." And we even said, you know, we was going to do it in 2030. So now you're like, "Oh, well, Ellen, she's gone now, you know." Hey, it's 2024, man. It ain't 2030 yet. So I have to say to you, it's 2024, but ain't 2030 yet. Because I believe in God. I will always believe in God. One thing about believing God is you realize when you believe in God, God has plans that you may not understand. God has plans that you may not agree with, but God has a plan to make you a better you and give you a better life. And sometimes you may have to struggle in those plans. Sometimes you may have to go through difficult terms and trials and tribulations in those plans. Sometimes you may not like what you have to go through in those plans. But guess what? God made those plans specifically for a reason. God made those plans for you so that you can be the better you, so that you can have the better version of you, have the better future for you, because God wants to plan the best for you. And I may not understand. I may not even agree with those plans right now, but I do know that if God feels that I must go through these trials and tribulations, if God feels that L.M. E.B. must go through these trials and tribulations, then guess what? I may not understand it. I may not agree with it, but I have faith in it. I believe in it. That's why you need to believe in you. When you wake up every day, every one of you, believe in yourself, never give up in yourself, never give up because you were born and your birthday marked a traditional, unique day, a special event for you because you were that important when you were born. And so you need to understand that no matter what, when you look in that mirror, you see the beauty of who you are. You see the intelligence of who you are. You see the greatness of who you are because you are. And you will always be an amazing person because you were born an amazing person. You were born to be amazing. You were born to love. You were born to enjoy life. You were born to create memories. You were born to be successful. You were born to live life to the fullest so that you may be part of his story, his self, because you were born from God. And that's all that matters, ladies and gentlemen. That's all that matters in this day. You were born from a creator that made you perfect in his image. That made you the best version of you because you are amazing. Never forget that. Each and every one of you out there are truly a definition of amazing talents, amazing perception, beauty, conceptually in an artistic value in a way that only God himself can see and understand and justifiably love. That's who you are and will always be. Never forget that, ever. Now I'm going to say one more song to help each and every one of us to remember how beautiful we are, how amazing, intelligent, handsome and beautiful we are and unique we are and how we need to make sure that we help others to remember that as we help ourselves because humanity can exist. We can't believe in each other. We can't empathize. We can help motivate each other. We can help love each other. We can do that. We just have to choose to want to do that. It's a choice, ladies and gentlemen. And it's sometimes a hard choice, but still it's the right one. So the King of Pop is going to help you remember that choice. Listen to this message from Ted Delacath, former Army infantryman and Ranger qualified platoon leader active in the Army reserves. When I enlist in the Army, I swore an oath to this country, not any political party. That's why I'm interested in citizens ballot measures around the country to reduce the power of political parties. Colorado votes on 1-2. Right now, election rules allow political insiders to hand-pick party nominees. It's the reason we're usually stuck voting for the lesser of two evils. Colorado's plan creates an open primary where all candidates appear on one primary ballot. Every voter has the freedom to vote for any candidate, no matter which party. The Colorado plan advances four candidates to the general election, not two. That means more choices for voters in the primary and general election. Get the facts. Elections belong to the voters, not political parties. Paid for by veterans for all voters, Anthony Haas registered agent. The use of military rank and job titles does not imply endorsement by the Department of the Army or the Department of Defense of this ballot measure. "What a make a change for once in my life." It's gonna be a real good, gonna make a difference, gonna make it right. As I turned the collar on, a baby went to court to sweep the blow in my mind. I see the kids in the street, we're not enough to eat. We are, let's be blind, we're dealing not to see them eat. I saw the sweet guy from broken eyes outside, everyone said so. They follow each other up to the window, 'cause they got nowhere to go. [applause] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] [singing] that you have from the king of pop himself. Long live the king, 'cause he will always be a king of pop in my eyes. But that's something we all needed to hear probably right now. Something we all needed to remember that we can make that change. We'll make that change because we just have to believe and never give up. Because though sometimes we may be selfish, that doesn't mean we have to be. Though sometimes we may forget to love, doesn't mean we can't start loving again. Though sometimes we may fail, doesn't mean we can't succeed later. We need to remember that. We need to always remember that. And I know you're saying, "Well, he lives in a poly life. That's pretty interesting. What about Catherine? Catherine is very important to me. Catherine is like the non-wifey version of enjoyment where I get to have fun and enjoy life and watch horror movies and play video games and just do things just because I want to and not care about being an adult. And she gives me that and gives me that so much in so many ways that without her I would not be who I am today as well. Because I didn't get a chance to like Michael Jackson. I didn't get a chance to really have a childhood in my life. I didn't get to enjoy my childhood in my life. And so therefore I never really felt like a child. I had to grow up so fast because my parents divorced at 10 and I had to become like an adult instantaneously because I had a sister who was you know four years old at the time. And you know I was a key latch kid and I had to take care of her sometimes while mine was to work. And you know I had to still go to school but in a way be like a father to my sister and you know and help my mother who was a single mother at the time and we went through a lot. So I didn't get to enjoy my childhood and understand what it was meant to be a child. I mean I started my own business at 14 and you know I probably made more money at 18 and 19 and I did it now basically. So I've always been ever an entrepreneur you know. Always moving forward creating ideas. I mean I got this new idea right now that Texas's broken you know. And you can go to Texasbrookin.com T-E-X-A-S-B-R-I-C-K-E-N.com. Which by the way Texas Brookin was created. The name was created by E.B. It was a vegetarian but you know she created the name and I'm not going to ever not say she didn't take you know privilege in helping us with things that we were doing currently you know. The nonprofit that we have called helping humanity and helping humanity that I met. You know she cared about people she cared like I cared about people and she cared about me like I cared about her and I know I know that sometimes you wonder they still love you when they leave. Sometimes you wonder if they steal. Here's a forecast for tomorrow in the colony. Look for clouds. Alexa stop. It's amazing how sometimes they just want to pop up and talk. I was busy right there you know hello. I was importantly saying something there. Thank you a lot. That was saying you know sometimes you wonder if that individual still loves you. Sometimes you wonder if they think about you. You know and that can drive you crazy. It can literally drive you mad. It can. But you have to sometimes just stop. Breathe and you have to say I know. I know they are. I have faith. This God gave me that faith. And God is in control. And then you calm down. And then you smile. And you allow that depression to flow off your back. You allow that ancient society to leave you. You allow that oppression to become smaller and smaller. And not allow that fear to consume you but allow that fate to come out of you. And I have faith. I'm a faith in God. I have faith in myself. I have faith in humanity. And I have faith in E.B. And so I believe. I believe without a doubt that she still thinks of me. I believe without a doubt that she still loves me. I believe without a doubt that she one day will want to be with me when she feels that she has found who she needs to be on her journey, her path, to become the better version of her self. As I become the better version of myself too because trust me, you might be surprised when you do see me in the future how I might look and the things I might have accomplished by then. You won't be, but you never know. And I want to tell her that Prometheus and Eulie Thees does miss her. Prometheus and Eulie Thees still loves her very, very much. And they still love their Spider-Man. Just so you know. And they want me to tell you that. But understand, even though I'm talking about E.B., I'm still talking about each and every one of you. That you need to understand, you have purpose in life. That you wake up every day with a purpose in life. Each and every one of you out there wake up with a purpose in life and you have goals and those goals can be achieved and those goals will be achieved because you will not give up because you will stay motivated. You will have faith in yourself. You will look in that mirror and you will say, I can be who I am. I shall be who I am because I am beautiful. I am intelligent. I am unique. I am one of God's creations. So therefore, I am important. And you will not forget that. You will not forget that. And if you do, come back and listen to this podcast. So I can help you to not forget that. Because guess what? I'm not speaking anything but truth. I'm not saying anything that you don't know. I'm just reiterating it so you can remember. Because life is about living and life is about being and you are meant to be something and you shall be something in life. I know. I believe in you. Believe in all of you. Now before I leave you on this great podcast. And of course had some technical difficulties. Good old Joe. Good old Joe. You didn't win this one Joe. Trust me. You didn't win this one at all. I want to play one song. One last song for E.B. Because we used to watch suits and we used to have our own shows and that we watched together and we used to hold hands and look for aliens on the beach. And you know we would go driving. Just go driving with the music on for hours. Holding hands. Just driving. I know right now you're not driving with me in the car but you're still driving with me. And I'm still driving with you. I know that our guardian angels are still there for both of us. And they're going to be there to help us get through this. And we will get through this and we will be better people because of it. God has a plan. And we may not always understand it but we are indeed part of it. So before I leave I want to play one song to E.B. A song I used to play every morning when I went to work before I had to work from home. You know I used to play it every morning as I was driving to work because I used to go to work around 30 you know about five in the morning driving to work. So the moon was always out normally when I drove to work and I would play the song because the song helped me to remind me of E.B. And right now more than ever I'm playing this song. Because the song has helped me to remember that God has a plan that I may not fully understand. I may not fully appreciate or even agree with. But God has a plan and I need to just have faith in that plan. And never lose faith in E.B. Who is my soulmate and will ever forever be my soulmate because there was a girl named Danielle when I was 17. And we were going to be married and we were perfect for each other and things happened because I didn't do what I needed to do at certain times. And when I came back she was taken and she was taken by another woman. And at the time you know she cried and said I'm sorry I waited but you know you went to college and everything and when you came back I just couldn't wait any longer. And I fully believe that God brought E.B. Owning a rental property sounds like a dream. Collect a rent and relax. That is until you realize how much work goes into getting it ready. Because I had a soulmate at 17 and I missed it because I was so worried about school and everything. And God said, you are not meant to not have the soulmate that you should have had, so I'm going to recreate her in E.B. She will forever be your soulmate from this point on. And she is. I mean, I've seen so many things. I've told her so many things about her future and what good things and bad things would happen. And when those bad things happen, I was still around helping her through it. That's what you do when you love somebody. That's who you are to your soulmate. You are there no matter what. The door will always be open no matter what. Your heart will never stop no matter what. Your love will never stop no matter what. And you will always be who they need no matter what. This is for you E.B. Hope you appreciate it. I know you're somewhere out there. Somewhere far away. I want what you've been. I want what you've been. My neighbors think I'm crazy. They don't understand me. You're all in hand. You're all I hate. And now you're with the stars that I've all been thankful. I sit by myself talking to them, trying to get to you. It holds me inside, so I get to you. It's all I get to know. It's all I get to know. And now you're with the stars that I've all been thankful. I sit by myself talking to them. It's all I get to know. It's all I get to know. I sit by myself talking to them. I sit by myself talking to them. I sit by myself talking to them. I sit by myself talking to them.
