I know it's been a while. It's been quite a while, actually. 2024, September 2024. It's been almost a year since I've been on. And I'd like to personally apologize to all of you out there. I'm going to honestly say this. I was going through a lot. I was going through a lot and mentally, physically, emotionally, I felt pain. I felt pain that was deep within me that I felt like I couldn't have others guide me or assist me or help me out. This has been a rough four years. I mean, I recall in 2019 when we just had COVID come out. And of course, that in itself was a whole nother life that we hope never to go back into. And then after that, the recession started and inflation started to kick in. And we thought everything was going to get back to normal. Then, of course, the prices started to be higher. And yet, even though prices were going up for gas, food, and everything, our prices were not going up for salaries and so forth. And then, of course, whenever you have money issues or situations dealing with finance, you always tend to have drama. You always tend to have situations that come from it positive, but sometimes even negative. Because then people realize that when you're in this water, you're trying to stay afloat after this hurricane of negativity has transformed upon you, some people can't handle it. And they simply want to get out. While the others are still trying to stay afloat on a boat and travel through the storm because they know if they do, it'll be OK once they get through the storm. I was informed, being that I'm a media depress member, I got the chance to speak to some archdiocese and a rabbi, of course, and also to beat the inlank. And I needed to hear what they had to say about these years that we've been going through. I needed to get some kind of conformity, some kind of confrontation, or just say some resolution to understanding what I was going through. And if I was the only one, or there were others as well. [APPLAUSE] It's not a thank you, thank you, thank you. But seriously, it's not a situation. I should say I need to be applauded. I mean, I think all of us were trying to find answers to problems and questions. I think all of us were trying to discover how to get through this storm. We thought this storm might last a year or two, maybe three. But we did not expect the last this long. And when you go through financial difficulties, when you go through emotional conflicts, and heartaches, and pain, and you see individuals that you love leave you, or individuals that you would stay with you forever decide to leave the relationship that you've been in for years, it makes you rethink life. It makes you almost question yourself. More so, it makes you question others. Now, that's why I have this show, Let's Talk. That's why Let's Talk is the name. Because we need to talk to each other. We need to communicate with each other. We need to be able to speak to others, and not be judged by the words that we speak. We need to feel fulfillment within ourselves that we can be ourselves, that we can love ourselves, that we can cherish the moments that we live day by day. But more so, that we can continue to move forward and not be judged or tormented as we do. 2024 is almost over, but is this so-called war almost over? And I'm not talking about the war like we Ukraine. I'm talking about the war of fear versus fate. I'm talking about the situation where we each are going through our own mental, emotional, exhausting war. We are trying to survive the world that we live in. We are trying to survive this very life that we have been given, that has been bestowed upon us, because there's so much tragedy out there, so much negativity out there. There is so much going wrong, instead of going right, that many of us simply want to give up. And then, when you have mental-disabled individuals who don't have any support, don't have any means to help themselves, because medication is too high and expensive, shelters no longer are resistance. And there's no institutions or hospitals or clinics they can go to because they can't afford them, or they're not covered anymore under the state Medicaid law or Medicare. What do you do? What do you do when those things occur? What do you do when you find out that the solutions that were normally there for you, are no longer there? And you think, maybe, just maybe, the only answer is, a bullet, or a knife, when we both know, when we all shouldn't know, that is not the answer. Now, I, myself, were going through some pride for pain and suffering, because I lost someone that I cared about for nearly 10 years. And, upon leaving and losing her, I found someone else who I thought was definitely a better individual than I can trust and care for and love. And I lost her after three years. And it starts to make you wonder, is it them? Or is it me? You know, is it the way I act? Is it the way I speak? Is it the way I handle things? And you really start to get confused in some way, delusional, or some way, extremely depressed, because you think that you are a lot loving, good enough. But then you find out through prayer or through meditation, or just through speaking with others that you are good enough, and that it's not you. It's them. That you are committed. They just wasn't. That you were dedicated. They just couldn't sacrifice. That you knew what you wanted. And unfortunately, they thought they did. But in retrospect, never did know what they wanted. A lot of people out there are going through this. A lot of people out there don't know what they want. A lot of people out there don't see the beauty inside them, or the handsome guy in front of them. They don't feel the love that they need by others. And more so, they don't love themselves. And we need to change that. We need to make a better world, a better today, a better tomorrow, a better future for everyone, but more so, a better one for ourselves. We need to take in our hands and say, I am somebody. Say it again, I am somebody. And I love myself, and I am a good person. And I shall do well in life. We need to captivate that situation. We need to bottle it up like air. Keep it with us every day. So when we feel that slight negativity, we look. We open it, and we hear that air come out speaking exactly what we need to hear, that you are somebody, that you are important, and that you are loved, and that you should and will always love yourself because you are important, and you are unique, and you are someone that without this world, you will not be you, and without you, this world will not be the same. Now, get up radio and get up radio media is going to do something about that. I, Alan Cousin, am going to do something about that because I went through torment for various months to the point that I could not come back on the radio. But here I am. That's right, here I am. I am back, ladies and gentlemen, and guess what? I am going nowhere ever again because I am somebody. I love myself. I know myself, and I am greatness. I am intelligent. I am thoughtful. I am kind. I am loving. But more so, I am me, and I shall not change who I am. I shall improve. I shall walk through this storm. I shall weather it until the end, and I shall survive, and upon that end, I will be, once again, a better individual with a better sense of mind, a better sense of being, and a better sense of life, and a better way of life to enjoy once more. We get up radio has actually moved forward in many ways. We have surpassed, in some ways, that has showed me that what I have done has not been for nothing. We were actually informed by Google that we are an informative base of entertainment, knowledge, and informative, descriptive information. We were told by Amazon that we are "considered a base of entertainment and information" and that we give a multitude of variety of things for people to listen to and enjoy. That made me feel very good. That made me feel that since 2004, when Get Up Radio was created in 2011, when Get Up Radio Media was then transformed from Get Up Radio because we started doing podcasting and talk shows that changed the outcome of who we were as a company, and as a personality of individuals. It showed me that I didn't do this for nothing. It showed me that it was not a waste of time for me. And that truly, Get Up Radio became something, and Get Up Radio Media is becoming something, and I, Alan Cousin, am somebody. I, Alan Cousin, truly know how to engage, how to improve, and more so how to help others. And that says a lot for me. It says a lot for me because it shows me that I did something that not everyone could do, and that I was finally seen for doing those things, for creating something from a thought process into reality, and then keeping that reality moving forward as I slowly improved upon it so that others can enjoy it, imitate it, and become part of it. And you know what? I want to prove this to you because I want you to know for a fact how good Get Up Radio Media is, so I'm going to do something I normally never do. I'm going to ask Amazon to tell you. Owning a rental property sounds like a dream, collect a rent, and relax. That is until you realize how much work goes into getting it ready. What do y'all think? You think we ought to do that, y'all? [CHEERING, APPLAUSE] Yeah, yeah. I think we should do that. I think we should let the people here, what Amazon has to say, about get up radio media. Alexa, what is get up radio media? Get up radio media is an online streaming service that offers a wide variety of music, talk shows, and more. It is a great platform for listeners to discover new content and for creators to share their work with the wider audience. Get up radio media is committed to providing a diverse and high quality selection of programming to its subscribers. What do you say about that, ladies and gentlemen, huh? What do you say about that, ladies and gentlemen? Yes, that's right. You heard it. You heard it from Amazon. You heard what get up radio media is from Amazon. And you know what? That tells me, if I can do something, if I can make an idea, become a reality, and make that reality become a bigger one to the point that others can hear about it all over the world. You know what that tells me? You can do the same thing. You can take your ideas and turn them into a reality. You can believe in yourself, love in yourself, and become a better you. Because you know why I did? I'm disabled mentally. I have extreme depression. I have some issues that causes me not to understand how to sometimes communicate with people properly. Yet here I am talking on the podcast that I created, part of a company that I built. Helping others listen to my words, helping my thoughts to become something of a reality for others to listen to, be informed by, obtain, and utilize to better themselves. Because you deserve to be who you are. You deserve to be noticed for who you are. You deserve the right to be you. And now I have to change for others. You deserve to be loved by you. And others, you deserve to cherish your life, enjoy your life, and live your life. And you know what? You're going to do that. You know why, because I believe in you. Alan Cousin believes in you. If nobody else believes in you, I believe in you. And you need to know that. You need to understand it. You need to believe in it. Take it and run with it. Because if one person, if only one person believes in you, guess what? You're doing good. Because if you have only one friend in the world, you're doing fantastic. But if you believe in yourself, love yourself, and know that you can be something, you are way ahead of so many others. Did you know that right now in today's society, over 65% of Americans alone don't love themselves? That's right. 65% of Americans feel that there is something wrong with them and that they need to improve or that they've been told by others to improve. When they were born unique, they were born to be who they are, to look as they are, and to be cherished and loved by who they are. But there's a problem with that. And that's why I, along with Ronnie Hooks from Ronnie Hook Productions, want to change that aspect. And we aspire, to inspire, to make people understand that they are loved and they are important and they are somebody. So we are coming out with a project called Get Up and Be Heard. Because we believe that every one of you deserves the right to get up and be heard. Now we currently have our website getupandbeheard.com. We are slowly working on it. We are focusing on making more obtainable podcasts for people to talk via Zoom and maybe, of course, for your their own podcast. We are looking to coordinate and helping others to be placed on our podcast system so that they can hear from life coaches or from others that can inform them to learn how to better themselves and to improve themselves in various ways in life. And we have a special guest, a special individual that will be having her own podcast. And this special guest goes by the name of Winter. And let me tell you, I have not spoken to Winter yet, but the things I've heard are phenomenal. This young lady is powerful in her words. This young lady knows what she wants. This young lady doesn't allow anyone to stop her from being who she needs to be. As she moves forward in life, striving to be as successful as possible, no matter what negativity, goals or comes in her way. And you know it's interesting the name Winter, right? The name Winter, like it reminds you of something powerful. Winter is coming. Beware of Winter. Winter, who has the words that can frees you. Winter, that has the eyes that will captivate you. Winter, that has the ability to dominate when necessary and to inspire when opportunity allows. This young lady is going to blow your mind because she knows what she wants. She knows who she is, and she's ready to proclaim herself out there to you, to all of you. This Winter is definitely coming. She will be coming soon on her own very own podcast produced by Rarnie Hook's Productions alone, and affiliated with Get Up Radio Media as well. So I hope you're ready for Winter, because trust me, not only is she a singer, not only is she intelligent and verbalizing what she needs, what she wants and what she's committed to, but she also is coming out with a special dance called the Selfie Pop. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, she's coming out with her own personalized dance called the Selfie Pop, that she says will take the world by storm and make people utilize it for themselves daily. I'm very, very curious. I'm very surprised. I must admit, I'm almost anxious to know about this Selfie Pop dance, and also just to hear the first introduction podcast of Winter, because as I told you, ladies and gentlemen, Winter is coming. Now, before I get further into that and some other things, we're going to go ahead and allow a song to be placed, because I think, as I said, I was going through my demons, I was going through my negativity, I was going through my extreme depression that took me away from you all, that I had to fight in order to come back and be who I am again. And I believe that this song helps all of us to understand what we're going through, what we have been going through in these last four years, and what we will still be going through probably in the next two to four years ahead, but that you must remember, no matter what, you cannot give up, no matter what you must not give in, no matter what you must love yourself, you must move forward, and you shall let others know that you shall not be taken down, you shall not be stopped, and you shall succeed in life. You shall be you, you shall be free, and you shall not be daunted. So what I'll further ado, let's listen to this song that I think we all can relate to. Alexa, "Play Never Give Up" by Sia. Here's Never Give Up by Sia on Amazon Music. Sia, "Play Never Give Up by Sia on Amazon Music." Sia, "Play Never Give Up by Sia on Amazon Music." Sia, "Play Never Give Up by Sia on Amazon Music."
