Joshua Project presents and reached the day as we travel to Niger to pray for the 5.1 million Zarma who are farmers using simple tools. They don't have access to modern farming equipment. They live in the Sahel Desert in Niger and surrounding countries which makes farming very difficult. Some are fishermen, businessmen or teachers. Though Islam was introduced to them by outsiders, the Zarma has embraced it as their own. They believe that the Bible is unreliable and that they can only trust in the Quran. This closes them to Jesus who is the truth. If they heard the teachings of the Bible, some would be drawn to it and the God who gave truth to mankind, including the fact that Jesus died for their sins. And Rose again, demonstrating his power over sin and death. For he was teaching his disciples saying to them, "The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days, he will rise. Pray for the Lord to show himself loving and powerful by providing adequate rain for the Zarma people who live in a dry land." Thanks. I'm Mark Hoordic.
