Joshua Project presents Enrita the Day as we traveled in Nepal to pray for the 1700 new brief, living in one of the most isolated areas in the Himalayan region bordering Tibet. In this beautiful yet harsh setting, the new breed herd animals make beer, grow wheat, welcome a few tourists, and celebrate their traditional Buddhist festivals. Each village has a temple, and the priest do rituals to bless houses and fields, heal the sick, and appease local mountain spirits. The traditional life of the newbri is rapidly changing, up to 70% of their young people are being sent to Kathmandu in India for education. Determined long-term workers can go with gospel materials in newbri and help them establish a healthy church that can spread throughout this mountainous region, pray for this people group to feel the healing touch of Christ and be cleansed from their sin as chapter 1 of Mark's gospel reveals, and a leper came to him imploring him and kneeling and said to him, "If you will, you can make me clean," moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said, "I will be clean." Please pray for spiritual hunger that would lead the newbri people to the foot of the cross and to the empty grave. Thanks.
