Joshua Project presents unreached to the day as we traveled to Mozambique to pray for the 710,000 mcconda. The mcconda like to carve household objects, figures, and masks, and their traditional religious practices are in the animistic form of ancestor worship. While this practice still continues, the mcconda mainly subscribes to Islam, at least nominally. They speak the mcconda language and Portuguese. The mcconda may not know real disciples of Jesus Christ who are obedient to him and live holy lives. They might have a tainted view of what followers of Christ are like. Pray for workers to take gospel recordings and other resources to the mcconda tribe. May today's people group become fertile soil as Matthew chapter 13 relates, other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain. Some 100-fold, some 60-some 30. While a number of Catholic Christians exist among the mcconda, there are few evangelicals among them. Pray these Christian believers would become mature enough in their faith to represent Christ well and to make a positive impact in their tribe. Thanks. I'm Mark Gordon.
