Joshua Project presents Unreached of the Day as we travel to Mongolia to pray for the 2.5 million Halcom Mongols. Genghis Khan formed the largest empire in the world history by uniting all nomadic Mongol tribes in the 13th century. The Halcom Mongols consider themselves the direct descendants of Genghis Khan and they believe they are true keepers of Mongol culture. They consider their language Hal to be the real Mongolian language. Many are nomads living in herding camps and migrating seasonally with their animals. It's difficult to establish long-term relationships with nomadic peoples since they're Buddhist. Gaining their trust and finding opportunity to present the good news of Jesus is quite a challenge. However, the Lord has called many Mongols to himself in recent years and his church is growing in Mongolia. Please pray that this people group might recognize their own spiritual bankruptcy and come to Christ for the riches of his forgiveness. Thanks, I'm Mark Forti.
