Pray for the Bakkarwal in India
"Jashar Project presents unreached to the day as we travel to India to pray for the 128,000 bhakavars, who live in a confusing world of tensions between traditional versus modern, rural versus urban, and Hindu versus Sunni Muslim. They are considered a backward cast, meaning their look down upon by many in India and their flocks of sheep have been seriously threatened by acts of violence, by Muslim separatists in the Indian government. Many have abandoned their nomadic lifestyle and livelihood to settle in the foothills. Bhakavars are mostly illiterate. Because they are considered a backward cast, they have less to lose by turning from their current religious system and responding to the prophet Zechariah's appeal to follow Yahweh. And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day, the Lord will be one and His name one. Pray for the good shepherd to find those lost sheep. May the bhakavars understand just how much God cares for them. Thanks.
