Every college basketball offseason is marked by winners and losers as players transfer, enter the NBA Draft, or exhaust their eligibility. This season is no different and is headlined by Hunter Dickinson’s decision to leave Michigan and head to Kansas. That decision makes Bill Self’s Jayhawks team an offseason winner, but also makes Juwan Howard’s Wolverines an offseason loser (so far). The early entry losses of Jett Howard and Kobe Bufkin also hurt Michigan’s case. Most recently, the Wolverines have missed out because of their inability to get Caleb Love enrolled in school.
Other teams joining Michigan in Andy & Isaac’s “losers so far” conversation are Baylor, Arizona St, and UCLA. Who else will join them and will any of them be able to change their place before the new season starts later this fall?
