FAU and Kansas State played yet another exhilarating game in Madison Square Garden in the East Regional. Markquis Nowell lit up the crowd with another spectacular performance. It’s the Owls though, not the Wildcats who move on to the Final Four. In the nightcap, the Drew Timme / Adama Sanogo matchup never really materialized as both players had so-so games and Timme was saddled with foul trouble. This game did not match the uncertainty of the first as Dan Hurley’s UConn team ran away with it.
