The updated AP poll came out on Monday and the Houston Cougars have once again ascended to the top of the pack, with Alabama, Kansas, UCLA, and Purdue rounding out the top five. The Boilermakers not only behind Houston and Alabama, but also dropped behind Kansas & UCLA.
Speaking of Kansas, the Jayhawks followed up their comeback win over the weekend with a gritty, defense-first victory over TCU in Ft. Worth on Monday night. For Bill Self’s team, it’s their 14th Q1 victory, easily the most in the nation (Purdue is next with nine). Gradey Dick had a great start and finished with 19 while DaJuan Harris passed out eight assists with no turnovers.
Who will win the Big 12? With the way the schedules line up, Kansas is the clear choice, with Baylor likely second, followed by Texas.
