The new AP poll came out on Monday and many things were to be expected. There’s a clear top tier of Alabama, Houston, and Purdue, followed closely by UCLA, Texas, and Kansas (with Baylor starting to lurk). Isaac Schade thinks Creighton is ranked too low (18) and Tennessee is ranked too high (10).
Texas Tech found a way to win a third straight game at home, this time over Texas (albeit without Chris Beard on the sideline). All three games have come against ranked opponents. Has Mark Adams’ team found something. Meanwhile in Waco Baylor won yet again, their 10th in 11 tries, this time over West Virginia. Don’t look now, but the Bears, who started 0-3 in conference play are now tied with Texas atop the Big 12.
In the ACC, Miami went to Chapel Hill and picked up a big road win over North Carolina.
