AP poll reaction - Purdue unanimous No. 1 | Big 12 have 6 of top 15 | Texas beats Baylor | Texas Tech upsets Iowa State

The new AP poll released on Monday, and as expected, Purdue is a unanimous No. 1. Following the Boilermakers in the top five is a list of teams not affiliated with the Big 12 conference, at least not in 2022-23 (we’re looking at you Houston). Texas hosted Baylor on Monday night in an epic Texan show down with the Longhorns holding serve at home. Baylor, although they didn’t play particularly well, did enough to hang around and have a shot at the end.

Elsewhere in the Big 12, Texas Tech, winless in the Big 12, completed the biggest comeback in program history (23 points) to knock of Iowa state in Lubbock.
