With North Carolina and Gonzaga both losing recently, the question becomes: who is the number one college basketball team in the nation? Most people believe Houston will ascend to the top spot, but Texas is also considered worthy. Others contending are Baylor, Virginia, Arizona, Tennessee, UConn, and Purdue.

North Carolina and Duke both fell on Sunday, the Tar Heels in four overtimes to Nate Oats’ Alabama squad who took home 3rd in the Phil Knight Invitational. Gonzaga came back to win 3rd in the Phil Knight Legacy.
Villanova is off to an extremely difficult start to Kyle Neptune’s career, while Justin Moore and Cam Whitmore are both still sidelined.
