The first week of the 2022-23 college basketball season is wrapping up, with an exciting matchup between Tom Izzo's Michigan State Spartans and Mark Few's Gonzaga Bulldogs taking place on Veteran's Day as part of the Armed Forces Classic. The Spartans are still looking for their go-to guy this season, while Drew Timme will look to dominate on the low block aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln in San Diego.
Elsewhere around the Big Ten, Stanford and Wisconsin engage in a rare P5 vs. P5 matchup in the season's first week, while Michigan will take on Emoni Bates and Eastern Michigan in another intriguing matchup, previewed here.
Finally, the Big East has plenty of intrigue heading into the first weekend of the season, with Shaheen Holloway and Seton Hall taking on his former school, Saint Peter's in a Saturday matinee while Villanova could be on UPSET watch against Temple.
