Bailey Anillopiro, Chase Howell, Alex Becker and the whole crew, man. It's always fun being here with you boys, hump day, Wednesday. We're getting after we got Hooters girls in the second segment. But for me, man, it's all about that football. Whether it's Becker wants to talk high school, I'm here to do it. You want to talk buffs, Rams? I'm here to do it. And then it's Jets week for the Broncos. That means Aaron Rodgers week. This is going to be a crazy one. Let's have a good hump day on edition of the program. Where's Williams? - Oh, my goodness gracious. - Nobody knows. - What is new, baby? - Yeah. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) - Unbelievable, what those boys just did. We got a tip toe in here. They're doing a big buffs podcast. It's like a video cast for the YouTube, so I'm like rolling in. I'm feeling like Rick Flair, you know. I'm trying to get some stuff off my chest. But I got a tip toe in there and shut the door. Real nice. Now here we are in studio talking football. Happy Wednesday to you. It's hump day. It's a beautiful fall. Wednesday, we're finally getting into it. This is the best time of year for baseball. Nuggets starts tomorrow with the interviews and the wingeeses. We start seeing some more Hastingses and wingees. All that's going to be sweet. But for me, man, I'm happy to hear that the Denver Broncos stayed out east. They had, I had what can only be described as a no strip club experience in Tampa. And they came out and played on Sunday like a bunch of guys who were well rested and made good decisions financially. And also for their lifestyles and families and whatnot. And it looked like the Tampa guys, you know, everyone picked them last week on the Hooters show. Everybody picked them. Becker included almost everywhere. I think every station everyone picked. Is that by the only guy he picked the Broncos last week? He picked. I think legit. I think legit. Only guy I can think of that I've heard that picked the Broncos last week. Well, hats off kudos to him. I guess he knew something that we didn't want hats off to one. Got to give him a tip of the hat. He did call in last week and say Broncos are going to win. I don't know how much summer in the middle of the day. Yeah. Summer in the middle of that call. He's like, I don't even watch football. And I don't know what you guys are doing on Sundays. You guys are goofs. But he's like, but Broncos are going to win. He got that part right. He got that part right. So one. Congrats, man. Tip of the hat. You got it. Hey, if you're wanting to, that's way better than me. And oh, and three. And that. Oh, man. As much as I wanted the Broncos to be three and one, it's just hard to roll into the NFL with a rookie quarterback. And my beloved purple and gold skull vikes were staring down the barrel of the very same gun. They were going to maybe roll into the season with like Donald Elizabeth back up in a rookie QB. And now it's that it's not going on. I'm like, man, who thank God? Because it's just a. You got to be loving the start to the season. It's a racing of the heart. The watching a rookie play quarterback like. I love the start of the season for what's going on with Sam Donald. I bet he does too. I bet he's very happy to be in a position that's not Carolina. Right? Not backing up Brock Purdy. Not losing in New York and being called trash. Like, I bet he likes it there. I bet he's like, man, look at all these trees in Minnesota. Yeah. I mean, who would have thought and then he's like, well, it's a huge offensive coach. Yeah. Yeah. Just everything about it is probably chill for him. And I mean, once BONIX starts to get it together, once it starts to even click more, I mean, his completion percentage was where right where we wanted it, right? It was in that 70% range. And the turnovers, nowhere to be found. Good stuff. Once we start sprinkling in those passing touchdowns, eat long gated drives. You're starting to get 10, 12, 13 played drives consistently once or twice a game than man, man, you're there. But leading up to that, being a rookie, it is hard, hard to watch. One thing that's not hard to watch though is the Broncos D. I mean, they've been phenomenal. They've been the front sevens, been all over the action in the backfield, just kind of breaking things up. But it's also leading to the backside guys, giving them nowhere to go. There's nowhere to go. Mike Evans usually can find somewhere to go. And he, he didn't find anywhere to go. Got strapped. Got locked down. You've been on a, you've been on a football field. There's a lot of grass out there. There's lots of places to go. It's 52 yards wide. By however many you need to get over the stripe. And Mike Evans, well, I think he's top five in the league. Is he top five in the league? I would not put him there, but he's one of the better receivers. What's up with that? Why am I, why not? Because there's guys better than he is. Not five. Five guys. I tell you five right now. It's here at Jefferson, CD lamb. I'm on Ross St. Brown. You could argue Devontae Adams and Tyree Kill. But Evans has been really good for a long time. I think he's had a thousand yards every single year in his career. I got a bump on Ross St. Brown out of that group. Oh, okay. Just because of longevity and like, he's been a member of the club, Mike Evans. He's been in the club a long time. He's probably the most tenured player that you named there. A lot of those got young cats. And then, man, when you dropped Tyreek right at the end there, that was. He's probably one or two. That was cool. That was cool. Hold how you did that. No, but Sean Payton said during the week that him and Sir Tan watch tape on March on Lattimore, the Saints corner because he always locked Evans up. So that's what they did all week. Watch Lattimore's tendencies. That's what Sir Tan did in the game and what? Two catches for Evans. Impressive. Yeah, it's when you have a rookie quarterback, I think the best way to play is to have a staunch defense. And, you know, a lot of us mentioned the 70 point kind of game that happened in Miami. And since it was Florida early in the morning, even Chris tried to bring it back up again, you know, and. The 70 to 20 got a little nipped in the butt there. Yeah, which is fine. Like if you're going to have a rookie quarterback, you cannot be going out there giving up 30 points, right? But if you're going to have a rookie quarterback and you're going to lose a game to the Steelers 13 to 6. That's actually not as bad as it sounds. It's just a rookie had a bad day. But that's about it. Defense didn't and running backs. Oh, like, like. I don't know. I think I think the Broncos are so close. I think they're very close to getting this thing clicked, right? And then what really the two things that need to happen is the ball needs to get moving forward on the handoff. However, whenever you hand it off, whenever you move it forward, it's got you got to get that yards on first and second down. And then a couple slings. Bonus. I mean, early, what was the Vegas line on him? Was it 18 tds or 14? It was under 20. Yeah, it was right around 17 18. Yeah. We'll see. That's one again. I don't think so. Not anymore. Not if he has zero through the first three games. Probably too much ground to make up now. We're just going to have multiple couple games where he's throwing three, maybe four in a game. Well, and then here's here's my question, too. So if you've got if you've thrown for no tds, right? And you, but you just had your big win and it was a huge win, right? 26 points you guys got. The seven we just talked about. The seven was what the defense did for you to help your rookie and your quarterback. All you need is eight, but we got this. If we get to eight, we get the dub, he gets to 26. I feel like still though, at a certain point, I'm looking around the Denver media and these guys and the tweets and all that. Like, if this was some, if this was Jane Daniels, they'd be talking about this forever. And it was bonus doing a 25 yard run, like on a third down. I'm like, it was nice. It was good. That may have been the highlight of the week. That was unreal. It was nice. It was good with Russell Wilson. That's a sack fumble, maybe even return for a touchdown. For sure. Kirk Cousins, it's a curl up and a ball that's it's the little Texas Armadilla, right? Just sit there and just tell someone touches the Eli Manning same deal. My favorite part was at the end when he got up and signaled the big first down. I think that was the biggest play in the NFL of the week. It was one of the highlights of the week for him to feel that pressure and that scramble. I mean, he looked like a true legit running quarterback there. He aged. He looked much faster. I mean, that's a sack with 90, at least 90% of quarterbacks. He was calculating things a lot quicker and his feet. He was gaining like more ground when he was moving to like when he would roll out or he would do some sprint outs or some, you know, whatever these kind of just delay handoff, play action rollouts. He would, you know, the first couple of weeks, it seemed like he was staying kind of close or drifting or something. His rollouts in week three were very crisp. They were designed to get somewhere with a purpose. Yeah. Right? That, that looked like Oregon bonics right there. Yeah. Getting it out of his hands real quick. You know, kind of those sidearm, not setting his feet, but getting it out of quickly. There's guys that dribble and go nowhere and there's guys that dribble and get somewhere with a purpose. Right? When I say get somewhere with a purpose, who do I sound like? I sound like something Sean Payton would say, right? That's like a coach. That's what a coach would say relative to. Yeah. Get some distance. Like change your speech, change your direction, right? That's, that's just a thing a coach would say, right? But gets, I always feel like these guys, when I'm coaching hoops, they're just dribbling. I'm like, no, go somewhere. Don't just drift or don't float. Go somewhere with a purpose and drifting and floating is what happened in weeks one and two. Dude, bonics was on a, on a mission in week three and he was getting the places on purpose with purpose. And then once he got there, he was like, damn, okay, ding, ding, ding. I got three looks right here. Front back center, left, right middle, whatever you want to call it. There's nine options right there. Oh, man. Do you think that's repeatable? You think he can do that again against the Jets in week four? Or, you know, or is it going to look more like the Steelers where he's just confused? You know, Tomlin was throwing things at him where he didn't know what to do with the football, but it was like a whole different guy that last week. So I'm wondering if he can gain ground off of that or if he goes back to square one. It seems like, I mean, at this point, all he's faced is defensive head coaches, right? The Seattle guy is first game ever, right? I love how they kept bringing up how Sean Payton and Todd Bowles coached together way back on Parcells's staff. Yeah, Bowles's defense as it can be. And now, you know, onto Robert Salar's something like that. Like he's he's defenses all day long, which is funny. You know, you hear about the sexy McVay's and the McDaniel's and the O'Connell's and all the Irish boys have the Irish boys that came from the Shanahan team. The Shanahan Irish, that's an Irish name too. Listen to that. Yeah. Probably some. Probably some in there. They're all Irish, aren't they? That's funny. But I think for Bow, if this was his first defensive coach doing schemes, he'd be a little tricked. Right now, he's seen three guys that, I mean, do you think any of them were holding back or going vanilla on Bonix? Or were they trying to trick him? Right? You're pro your pro coaches. You're trying to win a game. You're trying to trick that QB. You're not going easy on him because he's he's not varsity yet. So I think it's going to be to his benefit that he's played all these guys. And I don't think necessarily he will get fooled as quickly in week four as he was in weeks one and two. I like that. Yeah. So. And then I mean, it's not. They're not. I think one thing that's got it. What's more exciting? Bow, Nick's running. The 25 yards to escape play. Get a first down. I don't know how that drive ended. You know how that drive ended. That that was it was in points in a field goal, I believe. It was right after the Giovanni Williams fumble. Okay. And that and they took a lot of clock on the lot of time off the clock on that drive. So it was huge. That was a 17 seven at that point. The momentum was slowly starting to go Tampa's way. Maybe just a little bit. So I think that was the most biggest play or biggest drive of the game. Biggest sequence. And there's another way to get 25 to 40 yards. Bomb it. Connect on a deep ball. Right? That's a fun look. It's when you can start getting that version of Sean Payton's offense where the slot guy does a little banana out and then bends it up for like a nice little nine. You know, and you're like, I thought he was doing a little three yard banana. Wham. He's gone. That was my first. Hey, yo, that was Coach G's route back in the day. Oh, yeah, the JV when they used to let me run routes. So you'll pump and go. Oh, yeah. Stutter and go. Oh, pump and go. They called me. Yeah. No, yeah, exactly. One guy runs the slant, right? Little two man. I formation twins, right? We got the outside guy running an inside slant. I do a little banana. Pump the banana. Pump the banana. Pump. Pump the banana. And then boom, I break it up. Send it over the top. Put it in the bread basket. Not very fast. So I'm going to get about another 10 yards 15 and then one or two guys will catch me. You got that breakaway speed, though. I got that breakaway. I've seen you run the bases. Yeah. I can go first to home. You're in the night. Yeah. Did we get? Are we at 10? No. We can ask a couple guys on the street, maybe. Yeah. We'll see. I'll be driving the streets today, just kind of looking for softball, guys. Oh, Venezuela. Really? Oh, I see a CSC. That means so, so. We'll take you. Come on in. You're in. 8.30 tonight. Vandy. Meet us at Rome's, if you want. Moonie will be there for. Oh, yeah. That's funny. Okay. Pretty good first segment. I want to talk Bob's next, though. Let's do that next. Broncos are sweet. They're in a good spot. I like how they're staying on the East Coast. They're doing the familial. They're doing the collegial thing. They're building it up. No one's bigger than the team. That happens on road trips. This is sweet. We'll be right back on the other side. [Music] This is the Smile High Morning Show with Danny Williams and Jeff Gersh. I know. It's hard to admit it there. You found love. It's hard to stay in a place where he's better. All right, take those player. Yeah. That's the voice Chase Howell right there. He's our CEO, Bob Sky. He's our main man. That bill might be a little too curved over there, flatten that bad boy out. Looking fresh. Hey, how do we follow you on the on the socials? At Chase Howell, double underscore on the old X Twitter or whatever we call it. Yeah. What do you call it? Twitter. Yeah. It'll always be. I like Twitter. Twitter's just in a tweet. You don't ask you to send Xs? Yeah, I don't. All my Xs. Nah. I'm out on that. Yeah. Some people were looking for the Xs in Boulder, Colorado, maybe a little too soon. You stayed all the way, didn't you? Of course. Why would I leave my seat when you know you got somebody like Shador Sanders going the football, especially late in the game down seven. And I saw people just walking up that aisle. Isn't that wild? And I mean like they're like trying to beat traffic or what? You have Shador Sanders taking a ball. Haven't seen a quarterback quite like Shador Sanders since Cordell Stewart, almost. And then you've got this wide receiver core that's got multiple guys that can play in the show. And they're running all goes. They're not running bananas. They run in that pump the banana. I was making the Joe Glass segment. That was my route. I'd run the little banana three yard out, right? Run it, run it. And then every once in a while we'd pump that banana, bend it up, run a nine, and just go deep. Pump that banana. They were running two. Spider two. Why banana? You get it? Yeah. Yeah. And take us to that moment. I want to hear what it was like in Boulder, Colorado when that ball was in the air because the play right before it was almost caught. Hit the guy. Where you tie the shoulder pads together, hit him in the solar plexus, dropped it on the one yard. They could have fallen in for a touchdown. I think he would have scored on that play. I think he would have been down at the one. No, I think he would have fallen backwards. Hit him right here. He would have caught it and been like, this must be one backwards. But I don't know if he would have quite gotten into the goal. Yeah, I think it would have been short of the goal line or maybe take a. And they were out of time outs. Interesting. So it would have been interesting there. There's like nine seconds. I mean, and they were out of time outs at that point. The events was that ball got dropped. Then they showed a highlight. The highlight of Cordell Stewart to Michael Westbrook. And then what happened? Well, it's what happens at Folsom Field. It's Folsom Magic. But I think it all started with that Miss Field goal, right? When you know that you're only down seven and you got a guy like Shador Sanders, I think you started to see a little bit of belief. Not from the ones that just came there to see Ralphie run, but from the ones that were there to see Shador Sanders, right? And there was some belief in the crowd. We were all looking at each other like they might be able to do this. And you had that throw to Travis Hunter that ended up getting called for Pastor interference. That it looked like he might have caught for a second and he catches that ball. They probably scored touch down easy on that drive and then they started to get backed up. And two seconds left. I think the reason why they're able to make that play is you got Travis Hunter on one side. They had to cover him. They had to put guys over on that side and you end up getting one on one. They had to say Western and how Paul goes up and you just had to have a feeling that somebody was going to come down with it. And it was complete mayhem. You saw all the students rip their shirts off. I was thinking about doing it, but I haven't quite been in the gym enough this summer. But I do in those four minute abs watching all those students doing six minute abs. I really wanted to rip the shirt off and just feel the rain and taking the entire moment there during overtime. And the play by Travis Hunter, obviously the rain on your abs. There's not a little rain on your shirtless body as you're watching the buffs win. And then did you make your way down onto the turf? No, I'm a little too old for that. I'm a little too old. Three, four years too old. Oh, shoot. There's an age cut off on that. I think it's college kids only, especially when you have that many kids in the student section. But I loved watching it. I just took it in. I was looking around, big smile on my face, the little tear coming down the eye and just taking it all in. Okay, so let's go back to August 28th. I tell you, you're three and one after four weeks. You taking that? Yeah, I think you take it. I think that's probably one of the best case scenarios. You had two pretty tough non-conference games. Even the North Dakota State game was tough non-conference games. So you end up like, let's say they beat Nebraska somehow. You end up having a really tough game against Colorado State on the road right after that. So three and one. Yeah, obviously the schedule is probably only going to get tougher from here. But I think you take it right now. Orlando is the next stop. Home of Mickey Mouse and college called the University of Central Florida. I think it's the largest enrollment university in the in the United States. Really? Online school? I don't, I think it's just massive. Like I think there's, I don't think the online as much is included on that. It's, it's like home is country places. Huge alumni. And they got the brand. It's one of the Colorado State's got the newest stadium, I think, or, or newer list. But right behind that is what they got down there in Orlando at UCF. That's a sweet stadium. The bounce house. It's legendary. Especially right there. Yeah. Yeah. This will be a 130 kick. And you told me just in the bullpen over there. Officer, a two touchdown underdog. I think it's getting the, back's my habit in front of him, but I checked this morning. It was 15. What? Yeah. I, I, I double took, took on that. Could not believe it. Cause like, okay, when they were playing Baylor, people were like, so they're going to be Baylor. And I go, well, you know, I don't know if you know this, but Baylor's in Texas and those boys play football down there. Same can be said about Central Florida. It's in Florida. I get it that they know how to play ball down there. Um, is it just because it's on the road? Is it, is it going to be too sweaty for these mountain kids that, you know, we've got no humidity up here? Is it? There's not even that many mountain kids on this football team. They're all from Texas and Florida and Georgia where it's hot and humid. Um, I, I don't quite know why it's all the way of 15. Obviously it's going to be a tough game on the road. Um, I think you look at it match up wise. And maybe some people still think that Colorado's not going to stop in the run. They haven't watched the last three games where statistically they're actually an elite run defense. Oh, yeah, that front seven was mean, uh, to Baylor. I mean, Baylor, we were, you know, it's fourth down went for 40 yards. Uh, punt return led to points kickoff return was a touchdown. Even the wide receiver had to make a sprawling diving catch for seven points. Like. That's how you have to score. Even though it said 30 something points given up on the board, to me, it looked like that the boss defense gave up 10 to 13. And that seemed like to me. That's happened to him a couple times. I think Nebraska. They barely gave up any points. Obviously. Yeah. And you had that weird bounce that ended up in their hands for another touchdown. So this defense is good. And I think I'm most impressed with the run defense and the tool. I'm back. Who's the running back? Is there one or I mean, Welch is coming ahead now, but it's a Hayden's back this week. That is right. That is right. I mean, they're all Hayden Welch. There's got to be one or two more. I'm forgetting that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So they have a few guys, but I think down eight and should be their bell kite bell cow type of back and he looked pretty good in the first two games. They the offensive line did not look good, but down eight and average what six yards per carry. I think against Nebraska, five points seven or something like that. So we actually played well against Nebraska. Got a high ankle sprain, but he's back practicing this week. Coach Prime said he's going to go. And I think that makes a big difference for the run game. All right. How do they win the game? How do the buffs do it? They got to be able to stop K. J. Jefferson. And it's not K. J. Jefferson throwing the football. It's K. J. Jefferson running the football. He's the quarterback. He's the quarterback. He's the transfer from Arkansas. He was an elite running quarterback at Arkansas. He can't throw the football. He's just that's just not what he does. And he actually hasn't been able to run very well so far this season. But he's a very good running quarterback. And they're able to slow that down. I think we saw that this past week. Sawyer Robertson of Baylor. He ran it pretty well. See you would go into man coverage. You'd see the man coverage and he just run right down the middle. So if you're able to slow down K. J. Jefferson on the ground, I think they're going to be able to do enough against UCF's running backs on the ground, but they're going to have to stop their quarterback on the ground. You got any questions from my guy here, Bex? We got Chase Holland in the building. We're talking straight. Talk to Heisman race right now. I know it's after four weeks, but how would you? Would you put Travis Hunter in the top three? Is he is he top one? I think for me, he's top one. I'm I was I was actually what I was doing when I was out there. I'm asking around at sports books right now trying to figure out what is going on with this Heisman nods. I think he's right around plus 1500 at most sports books, and it just doesn't make much sense, especially with all the media attention that he's getting right now. He plays for a team that only plays on network television. They've only played their games on NBC CBS ABC. They get plenty of attention and he's going up against a guy like Cam Ward, who's playing an ACC schedule where he's not really going to play a good team. I think they might play Clemson in a couple weeks, but I just don't see why he's the Heisman favorite over somebody that's getting this much hype. And I don't think they have to win that many games for Travis Hunter to win the Heisman, right? I think somewhere around he keeps playing 98% of the snaps and getting one touchdown and one interception. The key. Yeah, the key for him. So much. One guy can do. If he can stay for 12. It's not a team award. If you can play 12 games, he'll be fine and Baylor didn't even target him once. Really? Still had three tackles and a forced fumble, but they don't want to throw it to his side. Wait, he had a forced fumble? Are you sure about that? Somebody told me about that. I think I was in the bathroom. I was peeing in one of those troughs. Man, those are the best troughs ever. Last question I got for you. And then bring him a piss theme music. I don't know. Let's see how that works. We're with Chase Holly's at Chase Hall. Where's the piss theme music underscore underscore. My question, Shiloh, what's up with Shiloh? Shiloh and I was young. Sounds like he's getting better. No, no more cast on the arm. Coach Prime kind of mentioned that he could come back this week. There's really no reason to because they have a buy after this UCF game. So might as well get the two weeks off. And then he might be back. But Carter start. Carter Stout Meyer has done a great job filling in for him at safety. Awesome. Who do you think they're on their way? Bullbound? Bullbound. Yeah, I see at least three more wins on this schedule. Now, this run defense keeps it up and these linebackers keep playing at this type of level. They're going to beat some teams in the big 12. I thought they were like, they have Kansas State, Oklahoma State on the schedule. Both of the teams did not look very good this past weekend. So you toss no joke, man. Utah makes teams look. First of all, you don't get the ball. So once you get the ball, you better do something with it. I'm going to be in Lubbock. Oh, my man. Why would you ever go to Lubbock, Texas? I'm looking Mark, Texas. Me and my wife and some of her girlfriends and stuff. How do you ever get to Lubbock, Texas? You got to drive? I think you go to Mexico and you cross the border legally legally, of course. Yeah. And then, and then you're in Lubbock, Texas. It's pretty cool. Yeah. I know my wife's good friend and our friend, family, friends from school. She went to Texas Tech. And then the other mom went to see you. So there's two C Moms and then three dads coming or just going to throw it out in and love it. But we're going with like a red raider. So she's going to be able to show us around town. Okay. That's one we got to get. That's definitely the time that you want to see. Kansas is one you want to get Cincinnati. They're six. Can you get sensey? I think you get sensey. Yeah. And there's your six. And then the Arizona UCF. Utah, Kansas State, Oklahoma State. Those are the ones Arizona good this year again. Not really. They didn't look very good against Kansas State. They just don't seem as well coached as they were last season. Oh, man. I think that's, I mean, that game's on the road. So that's tougher. But there's definitely some winnable games. I think Oklahoma State and Kansas State became much more winnable this past weekend. Look at what's D. B. Do what's Bailey doing back there? Flapping his wings like a condor. Oh, look at that. Raven. Ah, there's the music. Chase how food is Chase Howell underscore underscore. Right. How you find them on the X. Sweet. Living that life, man. Thanks for coming on. I love. I love what you do. I love that you're wrapping the box. I'm always listening when you're on air. How else did they find you? You're doing the YouTubes and stuff to the YouTubes. Yeah. The mile high sports. Go check out the Scoshoe show. We post a couple of times a week and me and AP have a good time doing it. Oh, also come to number 38. Number 38. That's like our brother from another mother out there. The watch parties are fun. We're going to have another great one at 130 on Saturday. Sounds good. Number 38. That's where you watch the buffs. That's with the mile. Hi guys. We'll be back on the other side. We're going to have some hooters girls up in here. We're just going to keep it rolling. I might get another guest host in here sitting back there. I see him swimming around. He's lurking. He wants my seat. I see him swimming around. We'll draft one of them coming up on the other side. [MUSIC] Welcome back to the smile high morning show. It's time to look ahead to the football action this weekend. Now joining Danny and Jeff in studio. The lovely hooters girls. [MUSIC] Not only are we joined by the lovely hooters girls Savannah and Emily. Hey ladies. We've also brought a Nilo Piero in the building to get his swagger. His swagger's on like a thousand million trillion. Yeah, so we got him in the building too. It's a two man job. It's a two man job dealing with the hooters girls. Welcome into the building. It's Wednesday. It's Wednesday. And we're going to talk football. We're going to pick games. We're going to go through our contest here. We got the Cola. We got all the gear spread out. We're going to have a, we're going to have a gale time. That's for sure. And we're going to do it Flintstone style. So I was going to tell you this much too, ladies. I was thinking of you this Saturday. We had little league baseball up north. Beautiful day in Eaton, Colorado. That is north. Once you're up that far north, you're going to shields or buckies. One of them too, right? And that's when it got close to hooters o'clock. And my kids giving me the food. Dad, we got to go to hooters. And I said, son, we got to get home. And he said, yeah, we got to go to hooters. And he's like, we'll just share some ways. We didn't end up going, but it was just the fact that my young boy is so like he's in tune. He knows that there's a hooters nearby, and he can get me to go there pretty much 90% of the time. Man, it was a highlight of the weekend. So raising them right. That's the lovely one too. That's one of the sweet locations. The furthest north one. They don't go as far as four Collins. But yeah, we've got Savannah in. We've got Emily in from Hooters Aurora. How's life down there on Parker Road? It's good. Wonderful. Yeah, it is fabulous. It's always better too on a Sunday when the orange and blue do what they did and do what they can do. And we know they can do and get that dub where either of you guys there in the building. We both were getting the vibe. What was the vibe like, Emily, beginning, middle and end. It was very intense. You know, expectations were low. And as the game progressed, it really ramped up in there. It was a lot of fun. It was a great time. It was kind of one of those games was over early, so to speak. I mean, there wasn't, there was still a quarter left or so. But people celebrating a little early to getting a little bit more than the rainy day kind of first two weeks of the season. Absolutely. Yeah, I was celebrating early. Yeah. Yeah, I think it's one of those things where even like the sun has come out this week. I know Monday and Tuesday of last week, it was great. And I was like, dang, if the Broncos were just scored one more touchdown, it would be blue skies today. And then sure enough, they get 26 to 7 on the home team. No one saw it come and none of us picked it in our collab. I don't think anyone in the contest picked it either. How did it happen? One person that picked the wrong. Yeah, I don't even know. Take us into that. I mean, how does, like, it's crazy to think Zach buys the only guy I've heard of in pound. That's claimed any credit for picking that game. I took it plus six and a half. That does count some counts a little bit. Yeah, that counts like in Jersey. What exactly, you know, you know what happened here? I was talking about Troy Rankin and Denver Post when the Broncos won the toss, the fact that they were elected to receive the ball despite the fact that they've been one of the worst offense in the NFL. I think he played a little bit of a mind game with his offense, even though they haven't been playing well the first two weeks. He basically went out there and said, I believe you guys go get the job done. And that's exactly what the Broncos did. But Baker Mayfield nonexistent. Mike Evans have two receptions for 17 yards. No one on offense was existence. Seven points. Bo Nick's little slash in dash. Where did you state? Were you happy with Bo Nick Savannah that he was able to kind of still doesn't have a passing touchdown yet, but he has his first win as a rookie. I think the passing shot is coming. But I think I am proud of him. He was serving the field really well. He was throwing multiple different people. And I think that's good. He's looking at his options. And he's smart with it. I think his decision. I know last week Emily was talking about the tackling and the defense holding them to seven points. I mean, what more could you ask for out of a defense? Defense was championship. Well, and we were talking rush. You know, what's been interesting for for Bo Nick's is that he's faced defensive head coaches. All three of them. And the fourth game here against the Jets as we start to look ahead the next this weekend. Also against the defensive head coach, which would be tricky if it was your first one if you were only going against offensive guys. But I almost feel like he's he's actually calloused and prepared and ready for it more so than he would be if you hadn't have faced Mike Tomlin. You face Todd Bowles and you face the newest hottest youngest coach in the league, the 35 year old defensive hot shot from Seattle. So for him to even just get get those hurdles to get to jump over. Right. And then to successfully beat one of those three guys, I think can only help you, especially when you got a guy like Aaron Rodgers strapping on that Jets helmet. Now, Anilo here are guys claims like New York. He's got some Mets fandom in them. Right. Groove. Did you grew up there a little bit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You hate the Jets. Love the Jets. I love the Jets. Come on. You love the Jets. Yeah. See, a lot of people go Mets Jets. And then everyone's kind of a Nick fan ever since the Nets move to Brooklyn. But it's usually Mets Jets and then Yankees Rangers. Nobody likes a Yankees Rangers fans. Yankees Rangers Giants. They're going and they're going football Giants. Yeah. Yeah. But they stink. Yeah. They just won this last weekend. I want some money off them though. Finally. Yeah. The Giants. They want a game. You know what I was telling them as well for the Jets game this upcoming weekend is so they had they put on what Thursday night last week. But the Jets actually have to travel across the pond to go play in London in week five. So that might be a little bit of an opportunity for the Broncos to maybe catch the Jets lack in a little bit Rogers and company thinks he's, you know, higher than anybody else in the room, right? You know, maybe the Broncos can come in there and play spoiler in a good old met life. Man, I, you know what, the Broncos are doing too. They're staying. They didn't come back. They stayed out east. So they're not in Virginia. Yep. They're not in Florida and they're not in New York right now. They stopped in. What do they call that out there in West Virginia? The Greenbrier. The Greenbrier. It's like a legendary hunting and fishing and golf resort for family unions and whatnot too. We looked into it for a family union. Like it's not it's pretty pricey. But there's affordable options that any of those joints, but they're doing some like team building. You think that'll help them out. Emily coming coming into this week instead of having to travel twice East West East West. You know, you grew up in Florida. You know that trip. Do you think like them getting that bonding time is going to build them almost more like a college team than then pros? Yeah, absolutely. I think they're going to use this time to really reflect on what they did right. And hopefully they'll bring that back to this next game. I hope that they got their first couple games. They're jitters out. Now that they're going to really just wipe the field wipe the table with all the teams that they're going to be playing in the upcoming. There is something to be said about Mighty Mo and being on their side and we saw it last year with the Broncos even with Russell Wilson. They had a five game win streak, didn't they? They did it. Almost six. I mean, winning is infectious. You know, sometimes you can kind of just stack them together as well. Yeah, losing is no fun. And that's kind of infectious. And you kind of get in a rut. But once you can get out of it, if you can stay out of it, it's a good spot to be. Hold on, Alex, stop the show. Today the calendar revealed. Let's go. There are packages coming to the store. Really? This is like the when you get your Hall of Fame. The guy knocks on your door and it's like. And Mr. Atwater. Hi, it's me. Welcome. I have my UPS tracking up right now. And I am waiting for this package to arrive at the Hooters Aurora so that I can go open it up and see what picture they selected to potentially be in the calendar. So if you come into Hooters tonight for Wednesday, there is a chance you might get to see a little bit of a sneak peek. Yeah, let's, let's do that. Let's talk about Wednesday. Let's talk. Let's go to break here in a second, but let's let's get in for sure. What is the deal on Wednesday? Alright, so we have the all you can eat deal and that started that starts with 10 wings. And then after that, you can do five and you can like mix the match. And then we also have our by 20 get 10 and you can do that any style you can get smoked, boneless, naked, breaded. It's good for everybody. Sounds like a dope. You know, Thursdays. I think Thursdays is a smoking deal too with the family bundle, right? You can feed the whole family on Thursdays anytime. Five to nine for 31 bucks, 13 cents. I don't know if there's a better deal out there. And if you're not feeling like this, the wings and all that we got the sliders that the tacos feed the whole family. Um, what's the beer? We have the tall six dollars, Dosekis. And then we have the tall $5. It's like an ultra dang. Dosekis is criminally underrated. I love those. Yeah. Ever since they stopped doing the commercials, you know, I feel like the brand values kind of diminished a little bit. Those were some very interesting, interesting commercials. The most. All right. Well, we're going to get into our collab on the other side. We're going to pick the games. We're going to tell you about recent winners. I know I've got a bag here with Golden Mark's name on it. One of our smile. Hi, guys. He's a winner. Do we have week three guys in yet? Do we know for the next segment? We'll have it for the next segment. And that next segment's coming up on the other side girls. Welcome back to the Smile High Morning Show. It's time to look ahead to the football action this weekend. Now joining Danny and Jeff in studio, the lovely Hooters Girls. Oh, thanks, Delilah. So kind of you. Yeah, the lovely Hooters Girls are here. We've got Emily. We've got Savannah. And then we've got the man with the plan. He's like the CEO of everything. Everything's going on around here. Anilopiro joining us. Thanks, AP. Anilop puts together our collab every week. It's a mile high sports and Hooters collab. Bam. It's the X. Winner gets a bag in the bag. You get the apron. What kind of bag? Two Hooters, Booby Coosies. What's in the bag? You get a Hooters bag. It's so cool. Look like this guy on the apron a little bit. Dude, I cannot wait to just if like Mark, if Golden Mark doesn't want that apron, he can just leave it and I will wear it. Well, I'm black stoning. No problem. Even this. I got a canoe at home. I'll take the little key thing. Yeah. From a canoe. I start the engine. I use the Hooters door mat in my apartment as well. They give us a lot of great stuff. I mean, it's fantastic. We were talking those Savannah. What's your favorite? Was it the family? Was it the mouse pad? Yeah, I love the little mouse pad. That was a wrist rest. Yes, wrist rest. I'll let you be imaginative. Say that five times fast. Rest rest. Rest rest. Bronco's Jets. 39 points over under. We're going to pick that. We're going to pick after that. Who has more nicks and rogers? We're not going to pick the nicks and rogers. We're running tight on time, but you're going to pick it eagles and bucks. You go on to any of our socials. You'll find it there. It's on the end. It's on the Twitter. Send out the link. You'll click on it. Got to be 21 plus. You put in your email and that's it. We've had one winner from our show, Golden Mark. We love that guy. And then you pick a couple of games at the end. Those are tiebreakers and you get the flask, the Stein, the Coosies, the trucker hat, the umbrella, the boat keys, the fishing lure. The coop and you get a lifetime of memories that no one will ever be able to take from you. Anilo, start us off. What do you think? Bronco's or Jets and over under 39? Give it to me all in one. I'm going to say that was a little bit of a jet animation there. I think the Jets win, but I'm going to go over 39. I think the Broncos scored what? 26 points last night in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I think to what we were talking about in the last segment, a little momentum. So I think the Broncos will do their part and I think you're in Rogers. They'll pick their defensive part as well. So I'm going over 39, although J. E. T. S. for the dub. Emily, do you agree or disagree with Anilo here? Well, I was telling the guys out there earlier that the one week I don't have confidence in the Broncos. They win. Do I reverse psychology them? Sure. So I think I'm going to say I'm going to go with the Jets. In hopes that the Broncos get that. You're good today. You've got Voodoo. I think it's going to be over. I think it's going to be over. I don't know an exact score, but. Yeah, I mean, 2020, 2020 gets over 39. Yeah. Yeah. So you think it's going to be a high scoring affair? We just talked about the Broncos defense is holding teams low and they got the rookie quarterback with no passing touchdowns yet is 39. Too high too low. What do you think in Savannah? I think the Jets are going to win 23 17. That's right on it. You're good today. And I mean, I have faith in bonus. I mean, he took zero sacks last game, so I'm like. You love offensive line was good line was just protected and supporting him. So that's all you know for. Yeah, he really minimized the negative plays and that's why the score was so positive if we're being all too honest. Alex Becker, what's going on back in the box? I'll take the Jets 25 20. So over over. Yeah, this week, it's over. Right. I'm right in that kind of zoo there. I'm thinking 22 19 Jets get a last. No 22 20 Jets get a last second field. They're like Aaron Rodgers comes down. I've seen a million times. It's almost a mix of Pat Mahomes. He doesn't even have to throw a completion. He might get a flag and then the kicker comes out and kicks one. Seen it too many times with Aaron Rodgers at home. It's going to be a tough one, but I think Broncos are going to make it a good game is. I think they'll have the lead late. What if they win though? Oh my gosh. How cool would that be? Remember the Jets struggle against Tennessee earlier? Well, you took Jets. You took Jets. I took Jets. He took Jets. So that means the Broncos are going to win by 19. Reverse psychology. Back to back wins. Usually works that way. Becker, have you been looking over the menu at all? Has anything caught your eye for your order in the day? We're going to double it up next week. Okay. We'll skip food this week. Right. Just get ready for an extravaganza next week. Just go straight for the pitcher beer. I do the menu modification these days. Like when I go with my friends, we always start with the beer cheese pretzels, but then we get the cheese refilled for the curly fries on the side. And that is an elite combination. You're a pros pro. I'm telling you, man. It's the way to be. Any other specials, any other things going on at the local Hooters? You want to remind us of before we kick out of here? Bingo on Thursdays. A couple of locations. A couple locations also have Mario Kart tournaments. Right. So check out your local dooders. They always have fun things happening and calendars are coming out soon. You should probably stop by anyways. These girls' hearts are fluttering. You should have heard them in the break there. The package has been delivered and I'm just hotter than a sweet can peat. I tell you what, I'm like a cat on a hot tin roof right now. I don't even know what to do with myself. I did play. Oh my goodness. And I was like, damn, you girls are funny. I like that. Hey, they got the UFC fights. They've got shrimp sausage gumbo, the ham and cheese sliders, the Buffalo lemon pepper wing sauce. Anilo can speak to that. The sweet cheese, swirl cheesecake, all that limited time, and the calendars are out. Go check out the five Hooters locations. You can order online. You can get them for takeout. You can do whatever you'd like there. Colorado Springs, Loveland, Aurora, Westie. Come on. You gotta try it. Yeah! Let's go. America. This is the Smile High Morning Show. We appreciate you guys. Anilo Piero, Alex Becker, Emily, Savannah. We love you guys. Good night, Sheila! That's what's up. I'll never forget today. It's time for the next week. Bye, Jerry. All right, now, whatever. Go inside. Bye, Sheila. Two, two, three, and here. Bye, Sheila. [MUSIC]
