AKA, Mr. Studio Grandma, AKA the host. That knows the most about that NCAA, that college football action. Welcome to another episode of the college football function. You know me. It is CM, cousin Mike, AKA Andrew's cousin. Here with the week five preview show, guys. Coming, oh, just did the week four review show, man. These weeks are coming and going, man. Like I said, I hope you're enjoying it. Life comes at you fast. And if you don't slow down to recognize it or pay attention, you know, you might just miss it. We're getting into the end of September, you know, and it's in October. I consider October is, you know, get it and go time, especially in college football. You're going to start seeing some really, really great matchups in October. Conference season is, you know, officially started. Cream is rising to the top. You know who you are. You know who you ain't. You know who you can be as well. Some teams are probably going, hey, there's always next year, but there's also teams that are going, hey, we're having a better year than a lot of people would think and we want to have an even better year than what we were necessarily expecting as well. So without being without further ado, let me see here one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nineteen, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen. I got fourteen matchups for you guys in this week five preview show. It starts, of course, on a Friday. You know, sometimes you're going to get a Wednesday game here and there, maybe a Thursday game. There is, you know, if you want, you know, if your Thursday nights are kind of boring, you're stuck in the house. You know, you don't necessarily have a TV show to catch up on or something to stream or something. You're just kind of bored. There will be a college football game every Thursday. You know, there's, it's going to be weeks like this where it's just not quite my cup of tea. It doesn't really have a whole lot of aspirations. You just never know. You're going to have a week. Hell, I might have to record early in the week and get it to Mike early to get, you know, that preview show out because there's a good Wednesday night game on. There's a good Thursday night game on that, you know, I may necessarily watch. So, but this week it starts, of course, Friday the 27th of September. This is a seven o'clock kick on Fox. This is the Washington Huskies coming in three and one that lost coming to Wazoo, of course, going to Rutgers to play the three and O nights. Almost scrolled past this game. And yeah, because, you know, at first sight at first sound, you say, you know, Washington at Rutgers. Come on, see him at, I don't know, man. I think Fox is kind of on something with this one. Rutgers is favored by three. Over on this one's 50, 45 and a half. Sorry. Washington has to travel to Rutgers. If I'm not mistaken, that is in the Northeast kind of around the New York area. That's a long trek. That is a super long trek. If Rutgers was 0 and 3, I still might put this one on. Washington still has a lot more to show me. To be honest, their little brother beat him a few weeks ago. But then again, this is a show me game for Rutgers. Hey, welcome to the big 10 Washington. And you're going to get beat by a little guy. And Rutgers is, I mean, I hate to shit on any, you know, Scarlet Knight fans out there. You are. I mean, you haven't showed me much in 10 years. Do you have a good way and every once in a while? Sure. This one, this one, this is a resume building when, you know, you rock. You know, you knock off the reigning defending runners up in the Washington Huskies. That's a, you know, puff your chest up kind of win. You kind of walk with a little more of a strut, you know, on campus that next week. And Washington, hey, this is your shot too. Say, hey, we're still not out of it yet. I mean, this is their first conference match up. You know, they played wazoo and that's a non-conference loss. So who's to say Washington's still not out of the fight. And this is their way to show it right here could be an interesting game. I am, I will tune into this one Friday night, seven o'clock on Fox. That is the Washington Huskies three and one heading to Rutgers to play the three and all Scarlet Knights. All right, let's get into the Saturday slate. This is an 11 am kick on ESPN right after college game day. This is the 20th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys coming in three and one heading to the 23rd ranked K state Wildcats who also come in three and one. These are two teams that just suffered their first loss last week. And it so happens it was conference opening weekend. Oklahoma State losing a heartbreaker to Utah and K state going to Provo losing and blowout fashion to an upstart BYU team. One of these teams is going to go 0 and 2 to start their conference season. Red flags, this is a must win game for Oklahoma State and K state. Kind of crazy to say already in week five that one of these teams has a, both these teams is a must win. You want to talk about some desperation. These are two teams that I thought could potentially play again against each other and Dallas for the conference championship. These are two old big 12 teams. I say old big 12 because of course we have the additions of Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado as a flag holder for the old big 12 saying, hey, I want to make it to Dallas. I've been here before. I've done this, especially in Oklahoma State. And with K state, just head scratching lost in Provo and BYU just outclassed them. I mean, I think they lost 38 to 9 or something like that and I can pull out my paper real quick. Yeah, 38 to 9. That's a demoralizing loss. I said before, Provo's a hard place to play. Watch out for the BYU Cougars going forward. So you want to see some desperation. You want to see a true heavyweight fight in the big 12. This is it for you guys. 20th ranked Oklahoma State, 3-1, heading to Manhattan, the little apple to play the 23rd ranked K State Wildcats. We're also coming in 3-1. Loser goes to the bottom of the big 12 and I thought I'd never see that, especially these two teams. So good game, KSU is favored, K State, favored by 6. Over under on this one is 54 and a half. Like I said, you want to see some good quarterback play. Some good complimentary football. Maybe even a shootout. K State's pissed, Oklahoma State's pissed. There is a lot of underlining factors in this game, Oklahoma State at K State. 11 a.m. kick as well. This one's on the big 10 network. This is the Maryland Terrapins who come in 3-1, heading to Hoosierland to play the Indiana Hoosiers who come in at 4-0. C-M Maryland at Indiana. Check it out. Man, Maryland's 3-1 and Indiana's 4-0. These are two big 10 teams. They're a lot like Rutgers, kind of in the middle and at the bottom of the pack. Hey, we're trying to separate ourselves from being down here where it stinks and it's a little muggy. I don't know what that is in the corner over there. They want to be middle of the pack. They help Hoosier say they can't be the top of the pack. Indiana knocks out people every once in a while. Hell, Maryland can do it too. I want to see these two middle guys, bottom of the barrel guys. Duke it out. Indiana's 4-0. Maryland's 3-1. This could be a great game. Indiana is favored by 7. Over and around this one is 55.5. Very interesting game if you've got the big 10 network. Tune in at 11 a.m. 230 kick. This is going to be a cluster fuck. In this little bracket I've got one, two, three, four, five games for you guys in the 230 kick. I could have got at least one more but I don't want to put too much on your play. But the good thing of having so many 230 kicks is you can flip. I'm telling you that these five, 230 kicks you can flip around. If ones are blow out, ones are yonder. You know, ones of this ones that you can flip to know. Hey, it's a good thing and a bad thing, right? First 230 kick is on FS1. This is a Mountain West matchup. Puts the Fresno State Bulldogs who come in three and one heading to Las Vegas to play the UNLV. Running Rebels who come in at three and oh. Two teams I think could potentially play in the Mountain West Conference Championship. Absolutely. Two sneaky good teams that UNLV team knocked off Kansas not too long ago. Fresno State's just kind of hanging around doing their thing. Could be a great game. UNLV is favored by three and a half. Over under on this one is 52 and a half. It could be a very interesting game. Like I said, I might tune into this one. Absolutely. If I'm pulling for anybody, I got a pull for UNLV. I kind of like what they've been doing during their season. That win versus Kansas is looking better and better every week. Even though Kansas has kind of fell off the face of the earth the last couple of weeks. But that's a good resume building win and beating a over 500 Fresno State and getting hot start in your conference is exactly what you want, definitely leaning towards UNLV. This is a big 10 match up, puts the Wisconsin Badgers, who come in at 2-in-1, heading to LA to play the 13th ranked USC Trojans who come in 2-in-1. Trojans coming off that heartbreaking loss in the Big House at Ann Arbor to the Michigan Wolverines the week before Wisconsin the last time we talked. Suffered ages beat down by the hands of Alabama. Two teams that still have a shot, you know, to contend in the Big 10. Wisconsin is, you know, technically up above, you know, USC and the conference, you know, records because this is their first conference game and, you know, this is USC's second. So I want to see if USC can bounce back. They didn't necessarily fall very far in the rankings. They're just, they fell to 13. A close hard-fought loss. You know, we'll do that to you. Unlike, you know, K-State, who I talked about in the week 4 review show, just kind of got blown out by BYU. They fell a lot of spots. Should be a good game. I give Wisconsin a fighting shot, but USC should instill their will. If Alabama can do it to Wisconsin, I see USC can do it as well. They're kind of leaning towards my way. USC is favored by 14 and a half. Over under on this one's 50 and a half, not really that high of a spread. I just give it to the defenses on this one, but this one should be an aerial assault. I see USC empty in the tank, you know, starting their conference season 0 and 1. They definitely want to get that taste out of their mouth. And in Wisconsin, I think they had a body week last week, so two weeks to prepare for USC. Don't count out Wisconsin. It should be a great game. 230-0 CBS. 230 kick on ESPN. This is the Arkansas Razorbacks going to the 24th ranked Texas A&M Aggies. This is a nice SEC matchup. A&M's favored by 3 and a half. Over under on this one's 52 and a half. These are two teams that don't like each other. This is an old, is it Southwest? I think it's an old Southwest conference, you know, rival regain. Kind of in the same area, Arkansas and Texas. Arkansas was not in favor of Texas A&M joining the SEC. One was at 5, 8, 10 years ago, whenever it was. They would love to knock off the Texas A&M Aggies, and I think they can. I'm leaning more towards Arkansas, but that's number next to A&M. I know they beat a Florida team not too long ago. I mean, still haven't really shown me much. I'm leaning on Arkansas. I'd love to see Arkansas walk into Cawfield. A very hard place to play. And knock off a ranked Texas A&M team, man. Good show me game for the SEC. If you want to see a nice, you know, two teams that don't like each other, kind of a rivalry game. 230 on ESPN. That's Arkansas at Texas A&M. 230 kick on the Peacock network. So if you are a Peacock subscriber, a Peacock streamer, you'll get this game. And I think this is a dandy of a game. This is another ranked on ranked matchup. This is an, I guess technically an ACC battle. I'm doing it like that because you can emphasize the quotations because this is the 15th ranked Louisville Cardinal coming in 3-1. Heading to the 16th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish coming in at 3-1. Notre Dame is favored by 5-1/2. Over under on this one's 48-1/2. Nice low scoring game. Predicted. Let's see. This is more of a coin flip to me. I would love to see Notre Dame. They're still trying to get that horrible taste out of their mouth. That 1.4 million dollar taste out of their mouth. Losing to NIU a few weekends ago. And then NIU losing last week. That makes Notre Dame's loss look even worse. If NIU finishes the season 6-6, that Notre Dame lost to them. Looks even worse. This is Louisville's chance to play against somebody that's pretty good. I would say I'm going to love the color schemes. A little bit of red, white, a little bit of black going against that gold, maybe even green. It should be a visually appeasing game. I just don't have a dog in this fight. I've said before in that week for a preview show that I got an extra grind with Louisville quarterback. Talked to Ill Will of his old alma mater. This is a guy that's on his third stop. It's kind of annoying. I don't like that about some of these guys. They just go left and right and go to any other program that will take them. A good quarterback, but I don't know. I guess I got to lean towards Notre Dame being the home team. But it should be a good game. The 15th ranked Louisville going to the 16th ranked Notre Dame fighting Irish. 230 on Peacock. Last 230 kick. This one's on Fox though. This is another big 12 matchup. It features the Colorado Buffaloes 3-1 heading to Florida to play the UCF Knights coming in at 3-0. UCF is favored by 14. Over under on this one is 63 and a half. It is a huge spread. I know people are going to see him another week of Colorado. Hey, they're getting some good games, man. I mean, they really, really are. I think this is where it ends for Colorado. I know they're 3-1, but this is a UCF team that I think contends. It contends in the big 12 team that especially we'll learn earlier in the day on Saturday with Oklahoma State and K-State playing against each other. It's just another big boy that kind of falls off. It takes a step back in the conference racing. This is a chance for Colorado and UCF. But UCF, the Bounds House man, that's our place to play. I think the Knights get it done, and I think they cover it handily. I like KJ Jefferson. Man, this is a dude. If it wasn't for Cam Ward, I'd be waving his flag. This is a great quarterback. This is a sneaky team. And by the end of this day, people will know who the UCF Knights are because they're playing Colorado. I mean, this is a nationally televised game, 230 on Fox. You'll know who the UCF Knights are by the end of this game. And I'm predicting my 21 point beatdown for the Knights against the Colorado buffaloes. Oof, high scoring game too. But I think UCF's defense gets Schader standards flustered. I predicted pick six. He's tended to do that, what he did against Nebraska. He plays good at home. He doesn't necessarily play good on the road, i.e. Nebraska. Now he is going to a harder place to play, I think. And UCF. That team is good. You guys will all see very, very soon how good this UCF team is. 3 o'clock kick on ESPN2. This is a rivalry game, man. Not just on the hardwood. This is the North Carolina tower hills coming in 3 and 1. Heading to Duke to play the 4 and 0 Blue Devils. Yes, I said that right, the 4 and 0 Duke Blue Devils. Duke is favored by 3. Over under on this one is 55 and a half. This is a nice ACC conference matchup. Love the colors, you know, that tar hill blue and that Duke, you know, like a royal blue. It's going to be very visually appeasing, especially if you like me. You love the color blue. Man, I think UNC bounces back. That, I mean, 70 to 50 losing to J in U last week. UNC is going to, I don't want to taste that ever again. And they will instill their will on a team like Duke. I wish I had my paper on me right now. I want to say his name is, let me see here. I think I have it. Hold on, one second. Malik Murphy, quarterback for Duke. X, Texas Longhorn, should be show me game for him. Duke goes 5 and 0, very scary, 5 and 0 team. Sure, a potential ranked 5 and 0 in Duke. They want to contend against a Miami, a Clemson, a Louisville. Why not be a Duke Blue Devils? I remember last year, the Clemson Tigers go down there to that little stadium and lose to the Duke Blue Devils. Don't count them out either. So, this should be a knockout, jack out fight. Like I said, this is not just a rivalry game on the hardwood. This is a pretty good rivalry game on the Red Iron as well. That is North Carolina at Duke. All right, moving on. This is a 6 p.m. kick again on the peacock network. Very disheartening. I'm not going to get that streaming service just to watch this game, but I'm going to call this one upset game of the week. Didn't really play that great against Marshall. Last week, a game I paid attention to for a little while. Very talented team, definitely one of the most talented teams in the country. Just ballers all over the field. Marshall kind of did. I mean, that game should have been 70 to 0. Well, Marshall hung in there a little bit. I scored some points. Strange shit happens at night at Spartan Stadium. That's why I have this as my upset special. I'm not saying Michigan State is going to outright win or win by 14. I just don't know if Ohio State covers. It is a 24 and a half point spread that Ohio State has to eat over and around this one is 49 and a half. Michigan State is a rival to Ohio State. Closet rival for sure, but a conference rival nonetheless. Like I said, this is a night game at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, man. If Ohio State walks in there and beats them, you know, 56 to 3, I will definitely wave that banner far and wide, you know, for the Buckeyes and say, "Hey, that is definitely one of the best teams in the country." Because Texas has already did it. Georgia and Bama are going to do it this week. Miami is going to get their chance at some point in time when eyes are on them to say, "Hey, that number, I don't know man, that number is a little high for you." And this could be that week that people go, "Hmm, maybe Ohio State's not that good." And then on the other side of the coin, you'll go, "Whoo, that Ohio State team is good." But I don't know man, this game just scares me. It really, really does, especially be being a softcore Buckeyes fan. So that is 6 o'clock peacock, 3rd ranked Ohio State Buckeyes coming in 3-0, heading to Michigan State to play the 3-1 Spartans. 6-30 kick on NBC. We got another big 10 matchup. This is another ranked on ranked matchup. This is the 19th ranked 4-0. Illinois fighting a lion eye, heading to Happy Valley to play the 9th ranked Penn State netnet lines. Howard Pools team come in 3-0 as well. Knockout, dragout, fight. I see it right here, Penn State favored by 17. Over under is 47-1/2. That is a low score. This could be a fall from, you know, the light type game for Illinois. I know they're very, very high on themselves right now. Going to Nebraska, you know, going to that hard place to play, beating an upstart in Nebraska corner Husker team, but this is a step up in weight class for Illinois, especially if Penn State wants to contend. If Penn State wants to say, "Hey, why isn't anybody talking about me? It's because of games just like this. Ohio State's, the Penn State's, they will fuck around and lose a game like this. I'm not predicting it. I do believe Penn State will inflict their will. I think Penn State has an axe to grind. I do believe they have the team to compete with the big boys in the big 10 and be that flag bear for the big 10 or some years that they just couldn't quite get it done. This is the year they go over the hump. Illinois is going to give them a great fight. I really truly believe it, but Happy Valley will be alive and the Beavers, man. They will be good. The Navy Lions, I'm sorry, Beaver Stadium, sorry. Is that right? It is Beaver Stadium, right? But yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Sorry, pull if I messed that up, but yeah, sorry. It's been a week already. That is 6.30 on NBC, big 10 battle, the 19th rate, Illinois fighting the line. I coming in undefeated at 4.0, going to the ninth ranked Penn State Navy Lions who come in 3.0. 6.30 kick as well. This one's on ABC. This is the game of the week, game of the year. This is the second ranked Georgia Bulldogs going 3.0, heading to Bryant, Denny Stadium, to play the fourth ranked Alabama Crimson Tide who come in 3.0. Georgia's favored by 1.5 over under on this one. It is 48.5. Oh, man. If you'd ask me right now, you say CM who is the better team who has put more on tape right now? Oh, man, that's tough. I know the near loss to Kentucky is a black-eyed AIT Mike Georgia. 13 to 12, I want to say that final score was just a near loss and then has good as Alabama has been looking. Going to Camp Randall beating a potentially very good Wisconsin team earlier in the year. Just instilling their will on teams, Jalen Milro looks like a Heisman contender. Woof. I got to lean towards the home team on games like this. It's going to be a crazy environment. But Georgia's Georgia, man. And also the coaching battle, Caitlin de Borde. This is his first real, real test of the year. Man, coaching battle, I got to give it to the Georgia Bulldogs. The guys got two ships. Man. This is going to be a great game. If I can't pick a winner, that just tells you how good of a game this is going to be, man. It kind of sucks because the tech game comes on at 7 this coming up Saturday. Man, this is going to, I don't know, I might not be able to catch some of this game. So, man, that is 6.30 kick, ABC. The number two team in the country, the Georgia Bulldogs, 3 and 0, heading to Bryant Denny Stadium to play the fourth right. Alabama Crimson Tide, who come in 3 and 0. 9 o'clock kick on FS1. This is the Washington State Cougars, Wazoo. Coming in at 4 and 0. Heading to the newly ranked top 25 team, Boise State Broncos. Coming in at 2 and 1. Coming in at number 25, that number last number that they can put next to a name. It's Boise State. Boise State is favored by 7 and a half. Over under on this one is 65 and a half. I'm leaning towards Wazoo. I really, really am. I think this is a different team. I really do. That's 7 and a half I would take. Well, 7 and a half are Washington State. If I had a gun in my head, Boise State, I know they should be undefeated. Oregon should have a loss in their wind column. It's going to be a cool game. If you've never seen the Bluefield at Boise State, tune in to watch this game at 9 o'clock on FS1. I think it's unfair. They let them wear blue too. Blue on blue, it's kind of visually. It kind of hurts my eyes a little bit, but it's definitely cool. It's definitely something interesting and awesome that makes college football so great. But yeah, give me Wazoo, man. 4 and 0. You know, Wazoo gets this upset win. They could end up being the top 25, you know, 25th best team in the country next week. So yeah, give me the Cougars, man. Wazoo at number 25. Boise State, 2 and 1. 9 o'clock on FS1. This is the last game I got for you guys. It is a big 12 battle at 9.15 on ESPN. This is the Arizona Wildcats coming in 2 and 1. Heading to Rice, Eccles Stadium to play the 10th ranked Utah Utes who come in 4 and 0. Flying high after upset win, I would say, over Oklahoma State the week before. Arizona have a bad taste in their mouth, losing to K-State a couple of weeks ago. Two old, you know, Pat 12 members, two of the newest big 12 members. This is a God of win game for Arizona. Yet again, another flex type game for Utah. Definitely get them more talked about in the top 10 as the big 12 representative at the time. Put them 2 and 0 in the conference. They pull out this win. Utah's favored by 12 and 1/2. Over under on this one's 50 and 1/2. I'd love to see Arizona. And Teratoa McMillan and Noah Fafida walk into Rice, Eccles and get the upset. And, you know, let's have the big 12 just be crazy already in the first couple of weeks of conference season. Love to see it. But if Cam Rising comes back, is he rusty? Do you let him have another week off since, you know, his second stringer has been coming off. I want to say his name is Wilson. He's been coming in and playing well and getting you wins. Definitely could, you know, put up at problem, you know, later in the year with Kyle Wittingham. But a great team regardless, man. I really truly believe so in Utah. But I want to see chaos. You definitely learn a lot more every week about some of these teams. You learn a lot less from others and I-poppingers. I-opener, as you know, some head scratchers, some upsets, some blowouts. It's going to all happen. It's just who's it going to happen to? That's the slate of games for you guys. I got 14 for you guys to watch all the way. Like I said, for Friday till Saturday night, you guys take care. A nice short episode for you guys, 33 minutes. It's potentially what I like to do. At least for the preview shows, I got more stuff to give you guys in the review shows. Stuff I noticed, players that I was paying attention to, plays that stuck out to me. Stuff I just, a lot of information, because there is. Like I gave you guys 14 games, but there's like 40-something games, you know, going on at any given time from Wednesday till Saturday. And I picked the 14 best ones. Sometimes it's 12, sometimes it's 16. Hell, there might be a week where there's only 10. Hell, you never know, but I dig through them. I look at spreads, you know, look at over-unders. Why would I like this game? But I also pick these games, because I say, man, I would love to be at that game. I'd love to watch that game. And if I know anything, also the time, I get them right. I picked some of the best games of the week. Some of the ones are easy, of course, Georgia, Bama. You know, that one's going to be on the preview show. But who's to say, you know, there's no state at UNLV. He's not going to be a barn burner, man, in the Mountain West. So like I said, I always want to shed a little light on some of these little guys. So there you go, guys. I kind of slacked off in my last episode. You know, the week four review show. I did not give any shout outs. I did not plug anything. I need to save my ass. So I know Mike doesn't, you know, he probably won't say a word. But, you know, I mean, you have brain fire, but it has brain farting once in a while. You know what I'm saying? Like, you're just doing something and then you just kind of go, "Phew!" My panther got their first win of the season earlier, I guess, last week, I guess I should say and upset the Raiders. So I probably made some Raider fans pissed off out there. Good win for my Panthers. We're not going, you know, oh and 17, you know, that's a great feeling. I didn't even pick them in the pickums either. I probably should have known better switching quarterbacks. Sometimes after you do that, you know, the team plays better. I don't know why, but you can ask a lot of NFL fans once a new quarterback comes in. He kind of gives a rejuvenation, a, you know, a spark of life to your team. You just come out and play.
