I am not Doug McCain Doug McCain Unfortunately cannot be here if you saw on his Twitter He said he's been a little in and out of the hospital dealing with some health issues now Here's the thing I never want to have to replace Doug Doug is the greatest ever at this But there's a lot going on the Dodgers world right now. So I got Doug's blessing to talk to you guys today on this show I know there's gonna be a lot of questions. Where's DMACC throughout the show? I will definitely Mention that DMACC is not here, but I'm gonna do my best to not be DMACC But be close to DMACC because he of course is the best at this But like I said, there's a lot of Dodgers to talk about right now after last night's game and everything else So we're gonna have fun today and again best best wishes to DMACC He's definitely been going through it, but we love DMACC We cannot wait to see him back here and the Dodgers nation training staff We're doing everything in our power to get DMACC back before the postseason because we need him back for October The Dodgers need him back. So for now get well soon DMACC But for today and hopefully only today I will be here, but I'm not doing this alone I got my producer over here. Let me get that boom Antonio Tony taters He's gonna be helping out. He's gonna be reading your comments He's gonna be showing me your comments, and he's gonna be making sure that DMACC gets the training he needs Very good masseuse. Okay, very good masseuse Antonio So we're gonna be having fun there. Yes, sir. And over next to him is the goat of all goats Mr. Noel Sanchez noise by Noel. Make sure you follow him everywhere at noise by Noel And he's gonna be here to helping out. He's our social media guru And he has a lot to say about the Dodgers and the Padres and everything we're gonna be talking about today And we're gonna have fun and again DMACC's not here I'll mention it a few times throughout the show because I assume people are gonna come in and say Where is Doug McCain because I would say the same thing too So I'll mention that throughout the show just to kind of let you guys know where DMACC is and again Hopefully he is back as soon as possible now before we jump into the show it is time for the Dn pull question of the day. I asked you guys over on the X or as DMACC would say the X Do you think the Dodgers will win at the NLS? Let's see as of right now we got 61.7 percent of you say yes 38.3 percent of you say no now have someone ask you guys in the comments over here Do you think the Dodgers will in the NLS what do they need to do the end to win the NLS? If they win the next two games against the Padres they win the NLS if they don't We got a little situation on our hands where the Dodgers play the Rockies the Padres play the Diamondbacks The Dodgers should win the NLS But again after last night, it is hard to say with confidence that anything can happen So i'm going to jump into the comments a little bit right now I assume a lot of them are going to say where's DMACC and I totally understand that let's see what we got We got what happened to DMACC say DMACC in and out of the hospital right now back issue He's going to be okay. We're doing everything we can to get him better But for now he's not going to be here. So i'm just going to hang out with you guys here All right, we got then to where Nava said oh Oh for a between mookey and freeman fall right back in a prime post season form Yeah, we're going to talk about that for sure today because not what you want to see from your stars in the biggest game of the year We got let's see jr said roberts is a rally killer even if you didn't expect a triple play should no double a double plays a rally care momentum shifter Yeah, we're going to talk a lot about the game for sure We got a daniel clark says sad about DMACC. I am too. We do have a few super chats Really appreciate you got i'm going to read these real quick. Noah or taiga 199 said DMACC on the iL means no one got called up. Good luck. Thank you. Noah first of all love your name Love the name noa or taiga great name. Um, but yes appreciate that and yeah best wishes to DMACC All right lance 499 said listening to daver roberts post game interview makes me lose brain cells Yeah, i'm gonna go over some of dave's quotes in a little bit and definitely get your guys thoughts On that because it was very interesting and finally we got i'm gonna say this right tio or tayo serrano said two dollars The real question is do you like toward us? I am going to have to go to my friend noel over here because I am not as familiar So I need you to help me out with this one. Give me a little explanation I'm not an avid. I love DMACC about an avid watcher like you guys So I need you to help me out with this one. So I will say I mean tony can attest to this over the past few weeks I felt like tortas have taken over the show. I've heard it a lot. I'm saying It's like everybody just spamming tortas pretty much, you know, we're gonna go with the classy definition You get a nice little bolillo, which is like a loaf of bread very fluff You can find out your local Mexican supermarkets and very fluffy super a everywhere you need to go You fill it up with with your choice of protein you get some asada some carnitas Really whatever you want you throw some beans some lettuce tomato. I'm gonna have to bring you one. No, maybe you can go next time I hope that this is what you were asking because this sounds good. So I will put my foot down. I like tortas There we go. All right. There we go. I had it. I was officially part of the That was good to me. I have to say that torta torta torta I'll say a little better. Okay. Last super child before we jump into the show here Cody Simmons tall says 199 thank you very much. He said DMACC back gate out after the triple play Yeah, I was on the phone with DMACC last night and the second that triple play happened I I think that's when his back was officially like I can't do this anymore You know that triple play was crazy and we're gonna jump right in to last night's game So if you didn't watch last night's game, which I think you'd be very happy if you did not The Dodgers lose four to two to the Padres the Padres clinch a playoff berth with that win So at Dodger Stadium, they clinch a playoff berth. They're celebrating in the dugout They're celebrating in the locker room. They come out. Take a picture on the field, which I'll get to that later I think it's a little I don't know maybe a little too soon to celebrate considering I know they clinch a playoff or but they also have to beat the Dodgers to win the division So I don't know about a hangover game when you're trying to win a division But we'll get to that later, but anyway The Dodgers score run in the first inning and then go seven scoreless innings And then the bottom of the ninth inning, they get three straight hits. They're down four to two Nobody out mcgill rojas up shaweo tonyon deck and then this happens We got that video up right Rojas on the ground a third metchato touches third fires to second Oh my goodness, it's a triple play It ends the ball game. The San Diego Padres have clinched their spot in the postseason after a magical 2024 campaign Will this finally be the year for the faithful? It does not get worse than that. I mean you have it right there four two two on and we have a triple play to lose the game So let me immediately guys ask you this question Good mcgill rojas have bunted. I want to get your thoughts. I'm going to read some of those comments The Dodgers on the first pitch. He was showing bunt. He doesn't get it down He takes it off Now o and one He swings he does put a good a good swing on the ball He's hard right at mani metrato who you got to give credit to mani metrato impressive play to turn around touch third And then no, he's going to go touch second or throw to second right after it. Not he's not even thinking about a double play He's thinking triple play the whole way So first of all, do you think the Dodgers needed to bump there and i'm going to tell you before I read your comments I'm going to tell you what dave roberts had to say after so These are some of the comments from some of those amazing beat reporters jack harris fabio nardiah They uh, dave roberts said quote There's less than a 1% chance that shohay does not come up to bat and unfortunately that small percentage came into play Then he says, excuse me. It's shocking. It's the least likely outcome Obviously looking at how the games played and how many triple plays are turned every year and tonight with shohay on deck It's very disappointing. So I got a few more dave roberts goes if I want to read some of your comments first Should the Dodgers have bunted there? Um, we got Uh, let's see paul good here says a bunt wouldn't have led to three outs. Yep I mean that's a great call a jr says bunt. I said don't got into a double play that would have settled sworders down Yeah, that's the thing i mean roberts sword is three straight hits one of them was a broken bat one I'm clearly things are not going his way the worst case scenario of a bunt Means the Dodgers have runners on second and third with one out with the greatest hitter in baseball Sholeo tani coming up to bat he would represent the winning run If the Dodgers want to excuse me the pajras want to walk him which they could have in that situation I got mookey bets coming up with the bases loaded. You got robbed of a hit before He did struggle with the base loaded earlier in the game This would have been a redemption opportunity and I got bases loaded one out for mookey and then after that it's freddy freeman So you kind of think a worst case scenario of a bunt is you have two on and one out now The other worst case scenario you think of is a double play and like that comment said a double play Really put swar is in a settled down position And now you got one on and now show tani represents the time run So in that position you either want we all have to bunt you want to strike out you want him to fly out I mean, of course you want him to do something positive, but he's going to get out I mean that's what you're hoping for and it's I mean it is just it's incredible that it's a triple play To end it so let's read some more of these comments Um, let's see Backlot rider said defense was in for the bunt that could have killed the whole inning That's a good point. I mean that is kind of the contrary point the defense was playing the bunt and here I mean, I'll I'll tell you what Dave robert said about the bunt. He said Quote you can't bunt because you're bunting into an out with the infield in bougart out of position The best chance is to put the ball in play and hopefully find a hole Now again Miguel also put a good swing on the ball, but he hit it right at machado And then machado turns the triple play so that's kind of the question Do you get the bunt down or do you take the risk the dodgers took the risk? It did not work now interestingly enough. Dave robert was asked Did he have the thought did the thought of a triple play even cross his mind? He said no, not at all And then he was asked a follow-up question How about when rohan says grounder one hopped to machado? So in that moment did daver hobert see a potential triple play coming? He said no thought machado was going to go from third to first So daver robert's does not I mean you can't blame daver robert's not expecting a triple play That is not a common play to happen but Taking the bunt sign on clearly means they made a decision that a bunt was not the move It did not work the daughters are now only two games up of the Padres in the division And now we have a very intense game coming up tonight. I'm going to read some of these comments But I want to turn it over to my producers over here. I'm going to start with you. No, well I think we're on you right now. Do you think the daughters should have bunted in that moment? I mean, absolutely you have shohayotani on deck ready to be in prime position to Make this ballgame once again potentially take the lead after him. You have guys like mookie freddy freeman I mean, you absolutely just need to do whatever you can in megal rojas's position To put your $100 million guys in the position to win this ballgame and you know, when arguably the most important game of the season the Padres have all the momentum coming into these next two games in LA to you know leapfrog the daughters and the standings and really just turning things around right when things were starting to look up again. We saw their celebration in the clubhouse. We saw them coming out to the stadium at 11 30 p.m. at night when we have another game today. It's like I have all the swing. They have all the energy right now. It just sucks because Dave Roberts before this was saying that that was the problem the whole year that every time the Dodgers played the Padres, they didn't have the energy. They got outplayed and you really just want to see your guys stepping up and you know, making the I have nothing but respect for McGall Ross. I think he's been an amazing veteran. I think he's made a lot of great decisions this year, arguably his best season of his career at 35 years old. But yeah, that's just one of those blunders that I think it's better to happen right now than in the postseason because you know, like it's always a learning experience and luckily we do have that time to still stay on top. You have two games to take off Padres. But yeah, a rough decision, man. Yeah, Tony, I'm going to come to you in a second before I do that. I love what you said about McGill Roas. I want to say what I want to tell you guys what McGill Roas said after the game really kind of hurts to see what McGill Roas said. He said, I let the team down on that one, he then continued. I feel like I had an opportunity to get the bun down early on that at bat, but I couldn't get the job done there. So yes, he did have the opportunity to get the bun down. He misses the one one. Then the bun sign comes off and then the triple play. Now, I am with, you know, well, I'm also with just an option who says, I don't blame Miguel Ro, you can't blame me, Miguel Ro for this. There is a less than 1% chance he got into a triple play. It happened. It's not McGill Roas's fault. He was hustling down the first base line. I mean, that is a quick turn from the Padres. So it's not McGill Roas's fault. It sucks that he kind of feels like it was, but I mean, to be fair, when you make the last three outs of the game, it's hard to not feel like it's your fault. But I don't think it's Miguel Roas is fault at all. It's hard for me to blame Dave Roberts. I mean, this is such a fluke play. But if the blame has to go somewhere, I do agree it's for not bunting. I want to go over to Mr Antonio. Let me get that camera over to you. Boom. What was it Antonio? I know. I mean, you're the biggest Dodger fan in the world. First of all, what's going through your mind when that triple play happens? But also, do you think the Dodger should have bunted? You know, it's not easy to bun guys. It's not like it won't be the show. You know, it's that ball is coming at you quick and give credit for MIGU row. He tried that first time and whatever the play was at the end, he hit the ball hard, you know, and you got to give credit to Manny Machado. You know, he's a, he's one of the best I've ever seen no doubt about it. But I wish they bunted. I wish they kind of held it down, but it was just so frustrating. I mean, I was, I was laying on my bed and I was just like, Oh, seeing the everybody getting on when the key care and it's got that broken past single happening. I literally jumped out of my bed. I'm like, it's cool. I'm going to get my Mountain Dew from the fridge. Like it's time. I mean, the vibes. I'm here to make eight innings. The vibes in that game are absolutely atrocious. And then all of a sudden, the ninth inning, three straight hits, like, you're like, the Dodgers are really going to do that. I mean, Robert Suarez has been struggling lately. So like you start to think like, wait a minute, like, are the Dodgers really going to do this? And like, let's just let's make that would have been the dagger. That would have been the dagger in the Padres divisional chances. Winning that game coming back from four down four to one to win in the ninth against the Padres closer. That would have been the dagger. The Dodgers would be the analyst champs either tighter tomorrow. We wouldn't have been talking about it anymore. And that would be that instead, pretty much a complete 180 happens. And now, like Noel said, the Padres have all the momentum in this series. Now, yes, they did have that little celebration last night. They might be a little hangover today. But at the end of the day, they got so much momentum. They have so much belief that they can be this team. They have dominated the Dodgers all year long. So it is really hard to think about how the Dodgers are going to come back from this. I mean, they need a really good locker room speech or whatever it is tonight. Like they have to shake this off because they got to play two important games tonight and tomorrow. Before I got to get into these comments, you guys have been so amazing in the comments section. You got so much going on right now. All right, we got Laker E B 82 says disaster decision last night. I've been saying for a week, if not months, Padres have a flat out better team. I mean, yeah, you look at this Padres team. Obviously, the rotation is significantly better because of the Dodgers injuries. I mean, as of right now, you got Yamamoto flaring a bunch of question marks and the Padres have, I mean, Dylan sees has been incredible as of late 16s trade school in NCS. The no hitter this year, you know, Joe Musgrove is getting back. Darvish is getting back. Michael King has looked really good this year. So definitely the rotation and then the bullpen. I mean, that's kind of a toss up. But man, this Padres bullpen has been dominant lately since the trade deadline. The Dodgers have two. They got to go both ways, but the Padres acquisitions have worked out. So on paper, I mean, this is not like two years ago when the Dodgers are a significantly better team on paper. As of right now, it is pretty close. The Padres are not only a really good team. They are the hottest team in baseball in the second half. So there's a lot going on there. Let's get some more of these comments going on. We got, yeah, I mean, hope bring to eternal says the Padres versus Dodgers record is eaten through this year. So that's eight out of 11 games, the Padres have won against the Dodgers. I mean, that is not what you want to see. Keep this going here. We said, Beerus, Thomas says, Padres take the Dodgers seriously. Dodgers don't take themselves seriously against the Padres. There definitely could be something. I mean, I think to that point, the Padres want to beat the Dodgers so badly. And they also just, they want to win. I mean, the Padres, they feel like this could be the year that they finally get that World Series. I mean, they are playing with so much. I feel like house money at this point, you know, because in the off season, they actually shed payroll, you know, they kind of go differently. They get rid of Juan Soto. They're kind of playing with the house money. It's not the same. They got a new manager. And all of a sudden, this team is better than it was a year ago. They've already clinched the playoffs now. They're aiming for that division. And this is a team that nobody wants to face in October. Because the Dodgers faced them two years ago. And that's when we saw what really happens in October in San Diego. These fans care. So I don't think anybody wants to face the Padres in October. Let's keep moving on a little bit here. Noah Ortega says yesterday proved our offense not hitting when they needed to hit. Is the biggest issue not pitching limited the other two to four entropy enough to win a game. Really good point to the Dodgers score one run for the first eight innings of the game. Mookie and Freddie go over eight combined. Mookie bases loaded early in the game cannot come through. I mean, if you go back to the first inning, the Dodgers have first and third and then they run into and out on the bases. Like I get the whole double steal, you know, trying to steal a run here, but you got to let you get that point and losing that out with first and third. I mean, that's a recipe for a bad start. And then the very next inning, Jake Corona, where to run bomb and how the Padres are winning. So there's definitely a lot. I mean, this is not only a pitching issue. I mean, there's obviously a lot of issues with the Dodgers, but either way, we'll get to more of that later. Yeah, Neil Casamo said, Darber's calling for the double stealing first was also a stupid call, took the bat out of Smith's hand. I mean, yeah, run into and out in the first inning when you're trying to get maybe a two, three, nothing lead, not good. Yeah, Pipples nine says over eight is unacceptable. I mean, those are your two best players. We've seen these guys struggle. Think about last post season, putting up offers. We don't want to see that again this year. The Dodgers need their stars. At the end of the day, the stars need to come through. And last night, I mean, shall I have the double? He didn't get a chance in the ninth, but Mookie and Freddie did not show up for the Dodgers. I mean, Mookie did get robbed of a hit, but of course, it's one game. There's a lot more to talk about. But yeah, I just not what you want to see from your two best players. A few more here. We got bleed blue Dodgers that I love my Dodgers, but no way are they taking home the trophy this year. Antonio is not a fan of that one. I think there are positives to everything. And I think the last few years, we've kind of seen with the Dodgers that they've been having these huge leads at the end of the year where they were not playing important baseball in September. And then they weren't prepared for October. This year is different. They are playing very important baseball in September. And as of right now, there is a chance that they don't even win the division. I don't think that's going to happen. I mean, as of right now, a fan graph has an 83.2% chance to win the NLS Padres have a 61, 8% chance. So all they got to do is beat the Padres twice or beat the Rockies with the Padres. I mean, really just beat the Rockies as long as they don't lose the next two to the Padres. So the chances are that they win the division, but still, this is at least important baseball being played at this point in the season, which you can't be mad about because it has not worked the last two years when they weren't doing that. But not only are they playing for the division, they're playing for that first round by the Dodgers currently have an 83% chance to clinch that first round by. Same thing with the Padres. If the Dodgers win the division, they'll have the by. The Phillies will have one of them. Dodger will have the other. The question is, who's going to have the one seed? The Dodgers are currently a half game up on the Phillies right now. So the Dodgers could clinch that one seed would be a home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Now, will they continue to beat the Padres? We don't know that yet. So we'll have to see. Let's get a four of these. A few more of these comes before we switch gears a little bit. And Benji, the French, he says, playing with no passion at all. BC said it's about how they it's about how they're playing heading into October. Ray Soto says, chat, all we need is one win. Ramaly Thai says, Dodgers win the division. Yeah, let me last you guys. Do you guys think that I asked you before? I'm asking you again. Do you guys think the Dodgers will win the NL West this year? As of right now, 83.2% chance. But it's looking close with these Padres playing as well as they are. I'm going to quickly get this super chat in. DMACC Jr. Hopefully, first of all, I hope your dad is okay. Send your dad our best wishes. Second, he said 199 super chat. He said, my dad put me up for adoption. DMACC Jr. I'm so sorry. Doug is dealing with a lot right now. So I can understand how he maybe doesn't have time for you. I promise, excuse me, I promise he's a great dad. He will be back for you. So let me read a few more of these comments that Antonio has helped put up here for me. TJ Martinez said, get this man, a fat torta. He's doing a great job. I mean, I'm pretty hungry. So I'm not going to say no to that. Jacob Jesus, Roas has grounded out twice already, put in Kevin Kuremeyer to bunt or strike out in a tiny would have been up. Yeah, Kevin Kuremeyer is the best buntter on the team and he's much faster than Miguel Roas. So if the Dodgers are playing the bunt there, Kevin Kuremeyer makes a lot of sense. So definitely a really good point there that they also could have done that. Two more comments here. Kenny Chung says Roberts making it makes excuses after excuses when Peeps have eye for themselves and see that Machado and Solano are not even remotely close to crashing the corners. Bogart's wasn't even a making a move to cover third base. So Kenny Chung thinks they should have placed down the bunt. Do not look as bad as maybe Dave Roberts said it did. Either way, they did not put down the bunt. Roya Strada says, playing the lotto tonight after the triple play I could win. I mean, yeah, I think the Padres should go play the lottery right now because that is that is not something you see every day a game winning postseason clinching triple play. I mean, it does not get much better than that. Really quickly, we got to take a quick break here. I got to talk to you about today's shows brought to you by our friends at underdog fantasy. Let us get back to our Dodgers. Here's the question now where I'm asked for Antonio and Noel first and I'm going to ask you guys. Do you think the Dodgers win both or at least one game against the Padres to close out the series and put themselves in a better position to win at the NOS. Antonio, we'll start with you. Well, yeah, they are. I'm actually going to go to today's game and tomorrow's going to be there. Good luck. Antonio, bring us some good luck. So you say Dodgers are going to win. You think I win? Both games are going to win. They're going to win. They have to win both. So if the Dodgers win both games, they clinch the NOS. That's right. I'll do shoey here, dude. I don't even care. Okay. Well, we heard that. Let me don't jump over that. Antonio just said if the Dodgers win the next two games, he's doing a shoey. Okay, dude. I want to put that out there really quickly. Okay. No, but yeah, but a flarity tonight and Walker Bueller tomorrow or yeah, tomorrow. So I'm rooting for Walker Bueller. This is it. This is it's time to really prove it. You know, he's going to probably be in the postseason roster. You know, at this point, they need someone to pitch game three. So and I'm rooting for him. All right. I hope he's going to have a good Antonio feeling good. Noel, I got to come over to you. I know you will know offense to Antonio. You're going to be unbiased. No offense to Antonio, but you're going to be unbiased here. You think the pot you think the Dodgers win one game, you think they win two games. You think the Padres sweep and take the NL West title or at least the division lead for now. How do you see this going? I want to get your guys in the comments too. I know I'm going to read some of these after. I'm fairly confident that they'll win tonight. At least I think it's going to be an anger win after how everything yesterday unfolded. But Thursday is going to be the real tricky one. Yeah. Walker, how much, Joe Walker, Joe Walker, who are old greasy years must greasy years. That's true. Like Doug said, could we sign just a turner for one game just to just go at him? That would be pretty fire, but I'm confident they win one game. Thursday is going to be a dog. I think that probably going to be one of the crazies games of the season, but I'm confident they win one. Hoping they went to I mean, if the Dodgers win tonight, Thursday is going to be it's going to be an absolute, I won't say blood bad, but it's going to be a crazy game. And hopefully the Dodgers. I want to shout out in a while because on Twitter, he was telling the Dodgers fans, they got to show up this series. I mean, you know, the Padres fans would show up. The Dodgers fans need to show up this treat this as opposed to season series, but then this is the wild card because the Dodgers are playing for the division right now. So if the Dodgers don't win at least one of these next two games, the Padres control their own destiny to win the NL West. If the Padres win out, they win the NL West. So the Dodgers need to treat this like a playoff game unless they want to play in the wild car round and in a best of three wild car round, anything can happen as we know. We've seen the last few years, the Diamondbacks, the Padres, because they're making surprise runs to the NLCS for the Padres, the World Series for the Diamondbacks. Anything can happen. So you really want to win that division. I know there's all the talk about the five day layoff first round by everything like that. We don't have to talk about that right now. Let's cross that bridge when we get there. For now, the Dodgers still need to win this division because that's going to get really interesting. Let me read a few more of these comments before I kind of shift gears to a one bright spot. We got BC, says Bueller has a career 2.18 ERA versus the Padres. Maybe he's their bogeyman. I mean, yeah, I mean, if there was ever time for Walker Bueller to show that he still has some of his old juice left in him, this would be the game to do it in a postseason environment. And to really lock up one of those postseason starting jobs. BC, Ivan Castillo says, "Dodger fans get quiet when we are down. It's so annoying." Yeah, there's definitely, I mean, it's hard to blame them when the Dodgers themselves aren't very energetic also. I mean, I think the team's really feed off of the players. Think about a few games ago, Sunday, Sunday was the Shoei Otani home run, the Mookie bats home run, the emotion that they were, that Shoei was showing around in the bases, that Mookie was showing. Dodger Stadium was rocking that day. We need that emotion from our players. So then it bleeds out to the fans. And like Noel said yesterday, it's not just the fans at the game. It's the fans on social media, watching at home, everything you can. You want to support this team because at this point, they need to feel something good to have a positive shift in momentum. If you are airplane, John says, "For real, Dodger fans need to make some MF noise today and get the boys pumped when this series lets go. L.A. love the positivity." We got, we only get a few more. Those Dodgers, World Series Champs says, "I don't know how all stay so positive when this team always folds." It's definitely, it's not easy, but I think the Dodgers fans are doing their best to do what they can do. Jason Diamond says, "This team isn't winning a World Series. Dodger needs to be non-biased. They have no starting pitching." Yeah, that's going to be the big concern. I mean, I'm a Moto Game 1, Flaherty Game 2, and then what? Land and Knack, Walker Bueller. I mean, it's Clayton Kershaw going to be okay. It's told me Gonseling going to make a miraculous return, but these will be questions for another show. I have to talk about one positive from the game. This is probably the only positive from the game, maybe a few other ones, but this is the one positive. This is a man named Eduardo Henrikas. Now, when Eduardo Henrikas, one of the few bright spots in the game, he pitched a scoreless seventh inning. He had two strikeouts. The second one right here. Look at this. 100.9 mile per hour fastball against Fernando Tatis Jr. to strike him out. So Henrikas, if you don't know what he is, he began the year in single A. He skyrocketed through the Dodgers organization. He's been recorded as throwing 104 miles per hour this year. That is 104. And he could be a serious weapon in October as someone who misses bats, and also someone who the teams don't really have much of a scouting report on it. I think that's a super interesting point. Now, who is Eduardo Henrikas? Where did he come from? The Dodgers signed him as an international free agent out of Venezuela. Last year, he's out the entire season as he has Tommy John surgery. Like I said, he begins the year in single A across 53 innings at single A, I a double A and triple A, get a 2.72 ERA. There's good in the bad though. The good. He struck out 38.9% of batters he faced. The bad. He walked 12.8% of batters he faced. Control is definitely an issue. And when you're throwing 104, it can be, but he looked really sharp on Tuesday. He wasn't trying to overthrow the ball. And he was really painting, especially that fastball to strike out Frano Tautisse. He was really painting there. So, let me ask you guys a question. I'm also going to ask over here the question, should Eduardo Henrikas be on the postseason roster? As of right now, he's in the Dodgers bullpen. He'll get a few more opportunities. You have to think maybe tomorrow, maybe in the Rocky series to see what he can do. But he could really be an X factor for his replacement or not for the place. So you give me an X factor for this Dodgers team. I was reading the comment at the same time. I'm going to read some more of these comments because I got called out for not reading the comments. That's what I was reading. Let me get a form you with these. Neo Geo 45 said Roas wanted to be the hero. Dylan McCase had a guard is not baby graderall. He gets swing and miss. Yeah. And like yesterday on the on the show, they called him baby graderall. But that's a good point. I mean, swing and miss is a big thing. Well, so we got here. Let me find some more of these comments. The Revolo one says, of course, another Tommy John pitcher SMH. Yeah, no, it's behind him at least. So at least we can have that going for us. Mike Condanza said, can a guard put a button down? Well, I've asked him that one. I'm definitely make it hard for other team to bunt, but we'll see what happens. Joseph Lomelli said, a guard of Henrikas is greater than Daniel Hudson, the meatball theory. Yeah, Daniel Hudson has been struggling a bit lately. Beloved to see the profile pod says Henrikas needs to be on the postseason roster. I agree with that. A few other ones. Let's go. Joe Manson, not impressed with Henrikas. Major allowed contact. Okay. So there's kind of the other point of the Eduardo Henrikas conversation there. Dylan McKay, though, says Eduardo looks effing terrifying on the bump. Ha, ha, ha. I love it. Yeah. So Eduardo Henrikas looked really sharp. He has a strike off Fernando Tatiz. Should he be on the postseason roster? Antonio, I'm going to start with you. Should Eduardo Henrikas have you? I mean, it's early. Have you seen enough? But do you think you should be on the postseason roster? I mean, I was impressed with this stuff last night, but following his stuff in the minor leagues as well. I'd say why not? Dude, look at Evan Carter last year with the Rangers rookie just made a real statement. Why not Eduardo Henrikas? And you got to love that stare that he had. Joe Davis said it best. He was like, fake it till you make it while he's faking it. Oh, I mean, he looked pretty real. He looked menacing on the mound. I mean, he's a 22 year old, first big league debut. And at that moment, the biggest game of the Dodgers season, and he's facing end of the water. I mean, you got Fernando Tatiz there. He gets two strikeouts, a big one of Tatiz and he looks scary. And then he let out some emotion, which I know my boy, Noel loves to see. Noel loves nothing more than players showing emotions. What are your thoughts on Eduardo Henrikas? Yeah, 22 years old, fearless, nothing to lose. Like you said, Noah, coming out there in one of the biggest games of the season and just stepping up, not letting the environment get to him, just taking care of business, being ready when his number is caught. I think that's the biggest thing with prospects. You just got to be ready when you're caught up. You're going to be moving from the minors to the majors back and down, back and forth. But as long as you stay ready, you keep that mindset of just pitching and sticking to the game plan. I think you'd be a great addition to the postseason roster. Yeah, it could be a lot of fun to have Eduardo Henrikas there. And again, I think there's something to be said about teams not really have a much of a scatter report on him. And this guy can throw 104. We saw 101 yesterday. He has a little bit of a pitch mix. He had a lot of stuff going. So definitely something to think about for the Dodgers. I think they'll probably get him two more opportunities to pitch maybe even maybe two over the next few games to really see what they have. And I don't know, I'm just saying if he has a few more shutdown innings, we might have to be talking about him in October. Alan says the walks are a concern and both strikeouts were on pitches way out of the strike zone. The first one was the second one was not, the second one was in, but I would not say it was way out of the strike zone. It was a really good pitch. He painted the first one. He did get a little swing and miss on the little check swing, but strikeout of the strikeout and Donovan Solano does not strike out very often. So the strikeout Donovan Solano is no small feat. And he had a Louisa rise in a pretty good spot. Three, two pitch up. And I don't know how a rise made contact with that one to be fair, but still it was a really, really impressive performance in his debut. Few more here. Uh, yours says even that rookie relief pitcher on the Phillies last season, too. I forgot his name, but he was effective last year, too. I'll be honest. I don't remember his name either. But yeah, I mean, there's somebody who said about these rookies kind of in this opportunity. And at Garden of Henrikas looked the part at the very least, like Antonio said, fake it till you make it. Um, I see a lot of questions. What's the show? Hey, Otani update? I will get to that right now. Last night before the game yesterday, before the game, David Roberts spoke about show. Hey, Otani's throwing program and what the team wants to do. Now here is what Fabian, our die of the athletic tweeted yesterday. He said, quote, Dodgers will meet with showy Otani and the training staff sometime soon to discuss next steps for him. They're in a quote fork in the road about whether it's best to rest him for next year or continue the progression and can eventually face hitters. That's what Dave Roberts said or what it's worth. Dave Roberts said it's, quote, highly unlikely Otani pitchers in the postseason. So this update seems more about him continuing his progression or putting a, or putting a pause in it so he has more time to rest as the postseason is here. So I want to ask you guys, I'll talk a little bit of my thoughts too. What do you guys think the daughter should do with Otani? Do you think they should continue his throwing progression and start facing hitters or should all the focus now be on October baseball and, you know, maybe not about his throwing progression for next year? Now here's the thing that I think there are two sides to this Otani debate. One is if it ain't broke, you don't have to fix anything. And Otani is having one of the best offensive seasons ever. He is a few home runs away from joining the 55 55 club. And it's almost like if he can do this throwing progression while hitting a career high in home runs, career high in stolen bases, leading off for the Dodgers, doing all these things, why stop? You know, let it keep going. On the other end, Otani's never pitched in the, never played in the postseason before. This is the deepest you'll ever played into a season. And you do want to make sure that he is as well rested as possible because he is going to get four to five at bats every single postseason game. And they're hoping for a deep, deep postseason run this year. We haven't seen that in a little while. So they're hoping for a deep postseason run. And you want to see show. Hey, Otani being the number one hitter that he is. So I think you can go both ways. Obviously, the Dodgers are going to have enough conversations to make a decision. Now, ironically enough, some of the comments are talking about show Tony pitch in the postseason. That's a whole other discussion. And that is one where I'm a firm no on. Here's the thing. I totally understand the need for pitching right now. And I totally understand that show. Hey, Otani at his best when he's healthy is one of the best pitchers in baseball. And you saw a few of what it last year, WBC, he comes in in the ninth inning strikes out Mike Trout to win the WBC. I mean, it does not get any more storybook than that. This is not getting any cooler than that. At the same time, this is year one. There are nine more years on Shaleo Tony's contract with the Dodgers. Don't want one. Maybe want to maybe want three world series. I mean, at least two. I feel like one is not enough. I mean, world series is hard in baseball, but with this roster with this team, you want at least two. So you need to show out Tony to be the two way star that you're expecting him to be while you're paying him 700 million dollars, which is why risking it in year one to maybe make a little postseason run doesn't make sense. Now I understand the thoughts of, hey, if they get to the world series and now you have show, you can maybe come in. Okay, maybe it's a different conversation, but also depends where his throwing progression is. So why is this a big update on Otani? Well, if the Dodgers end his throwing progression right now, he's not pitching in October. I mean, you can just shut the door on that. If his throwing progression ends, he's not pitching in October. If they continue his throwing progression, and at least technically leaves the door open for him to return in October and pitch. So that's the Otani update. I'd love to know your guys thought in the comments of what you think Otani should do or what the Dodgers should do with Otani. But for now, that's the update. And we'll definitely keep any more updates on his throwing progression. But yeah, it'll be telling. If they stop the throwing progression, we can shut the door and him pitching in October. If they don't stop it though, now all of a sudden we have some discussions of if they get to the world series, if they get to game seven, if they need three outs, like then what do you do? But we don't have to talk about that just yet. A few more comments here before we kind of preview the rest of this series, Daniel Garrett, we got two comments from him. First one says, Dodgers need to win both games. They win one. I don't trust him to not drop two to the Rockies. So he wants to see them win both games against the Padres to clear out this NLS. And the second one, a more recent one, he said, if Dodgers clinch, why not let him pitch a single game against the Rockies to see how he's doing? If that's about Otani, it's because he is not ready in his study progression to pitch yet. So the Dodgers are going to have to play it safe with Otani again. This is year one of a 10 year, $700 million contract, okay? So you cannot risk it all right now until he's 100% healthy to pitch. I understand the conversation of a world series. I think you cross that bridge when you get there, but for now, don't you think about it. Alexander Rose says, if Otani is coming in the ninth, the Dodgers need just need to win and they get the chip, bring him for the ninth, let him. So yeah, again, if it is world series game seven, three outs to go and Otani feels good enough to pitch. Okay, you can talk about it then, but for now, I don't think we need to talk about it. I'm going to quickly just give a quick update. If anyone just tuning in right now and is wondering where is DMACC underscore LA, I'm obviously not DMACC. DMACC, unfortunately, is dealing with some health issues. He posts on his Twitter. So you can read about it there. You've been in and out of the hospital dealing with a back injury. We, a Dodgers nation doing everything we can to get him healthy for October. I mean, we need him at the ace of our pitching staff. I mean, Doug is literally our show. Hey, Otani, you know, he hits pitches. He does a little bit of everything for us. He steals bases. Yes, you can still get down the line. So we need Doug to be back. So for now, he's not here. I'm hoping this is the only time I'm here with you guys, not because I don't love being with you guys, because I want DMACC back in this chair because where he belongs, but that is where DMACC is right now. And definitely go over to Twitter or X and comment under his post. Wish him the best because we are doing the same. And we need some really good Dodgers nation training staff here to make sure he gets ready to go for October. So that's where DMACC is. Okay, last thing I want to talk about today, we have two more games to play. All right, we got to put last night behind us. I know what happened. The triple play was brutal. Can't talk about that anymore. Okay, it is now Wednesday and Thursday where I personally think you got to treat these as must win games. Because again, if the Dodgers win both games, like I've said, the NLS is theirs. So Wednesday night to night, we have Jack Flaherty on the mound against Dylan Sees. Dylan Sees, 16 consecutive squirrels, and he's coming into the game. He has been red hot. He pictured against the Dodgers July 31st. He went five and two thirds, allowing one earned run with six strikeouts. That was an eight to one Padres win. So Sees pitched pretty well against the Padres earlier this year. And again, he's been red hot as of late as for Flaherty. He's coming in a little colder. He's allowed seven earned runs over his last two starts. And the Dodgers really need him to have one of his best starts of the year. And again, in my opinion, feels like a must win game. But again, like someone said in the comments earlier, it is not just about the pitching. The hitting needs to show up yesterday. The Dodgers go one for nine to four. I remember the number one. There were one for eight through eight innings. Then they got another hits. I think it was two for 10 with runners in scoring position yesterday. That's not a recipe for success in any game, especially a really big game. The Dodgers need to come through. And again, like I've said, it starts at the top of the lineup. Show you what Tony did what he did. He won one for three. He had a double. He had a walk. And you look at right after him, Mookie Bette, 0 for four. Ready Freeman, 0 for four. Jessica Hernandez, Will Smith. These are the guys who need to step up. And they're going to be doing it against a really tough pitcher in Dylan Sees and someone again who's just through nearly six innings of one run ball against the Dodgers earlier this year. So is this a must win game? Is my first question for you guys? I want to see what you guys say about is this a must win game. And then second, what are our predictions for tonight's game? So Antonio, let's start with you. No, I'm gonna start with Noel because the camera's already on him. Sorry, sorry, sorry. I mean, all right, Noel, the first question. Is this a must win game for the Dodgers? I mean, absolutely. Yesterday we all said it was the most important game of the season. Well, let's double down on this game is twice as important as it was yesterday because, man, if you lose today, you are just setting yourself up in a very bad place for the rest of the week. Padres momentum doubles down from that. And, you know, once you go and stack game three, all vibes are down. I think absolutely Jack Flaherty. He's probably the number one guy you would want pitching this type of game. He's going to bring the energy. He's the Dodgers number one option right now. We Yamamoto still working his way back. And yeah, we just need our offense to show up as well. Yeah. I mean, when you think about why the Dodgers acquired Jack Flaherty, really at the buzzer at the trade deadline, it's for games like tonight. I mean, this is why Jack Flaherty is on the roster because you need six, seven innings, maybe one run. I mean, you need him to kind of put his foot down and really stop the momentum. Like this is not even just about winning. This is about him really stopping the Padres momentum in a really crucial spot. Because like you said, Noel, if the Padres win this game, you don't even want to think about what Thursday is going to feel like, what it's going to look like. If the Padres come into Dodger Stadium and win all three games to take a division lead, I don't know how you come back from that. So Jack Flaherty is not only needs a good start. He needs to kind of be like the momentum stopper for this. He'll go down as a Dodger legend. I mean, yeah, they trade him for him for October. Well, October started a week early this year. And Jack Flaherty needs to have that performance. I'm actually going to know well now. I'm sorry. Yeah, I got so many guys. I'm going to go to Antonio. Yo is tonight a must win game. Huh. Let me think about that. Yeah, bro. For sure. It's going to, it's going to be a brutal game tonight. I'm excited to be there, but I've been in the stadium during some tough times, but I feel like today is going to be a fantastic day. And then same with tomorrow. I'm not going to lie. I'm a little nervous. Wow. Antonio showing some nerves as the number one positivity Dodger fan. I mean, wait at the, at the game today, make sure to say what's Antonio's going to be there along with our other social media guru, Serena, who's not in office today, but they're going to be out there today talking to fans. So yeah, say what's up, keeping out for our guys. You feel me? Yeah. Go show low. Everyone look at Antonio. Let's get the camera back in Antonio. This is what he looks like. If you see this man at Dodger Stadium, go up to him. I'll ask you some fan questions. You'll be featured on the Dodgers nation's socials. I mean, this is a great opportunity. So if you see this beautiful man at Dodger Stadium, go up. They high. He won't bite. He's a nice guy. What are you going to be wearing? Say, Antonio? Dude, I'm just going to be wearing this in a Dodger hat. All right. All right. Dog had black polo black polo Dodger hat. Easy money. So definitely see him. Yeah. In the comments, let me see what some of you would say if there's a must win game. Let's see what people are saying. I mean, it is just because I'm here to think if they had maybe someone like Tyler Glass now pitching tomorrow, maybe you think like, okay, I got to least win one of these, but you got Walker Bula going tomorrow and you can't say you love what we've seen some from Bula so far. Okay. Jinjo star says Jack got to be that guy today. Jay Camp says Jack can pitch lights out, but if the offense don't come through, then what not on him, it's not on it's not on him. It's on the offense. He needs runs. Yeah. 100% Jose Guarez says Flaherty's going to dominate. Ventura novice says Jack and pitch a near perfect game, but won't matter if bats don't wake up. 100% Carl says yes, must win game, especially with Bular tomorrow. Yeah. Hope spring's eternal is correct. If the Dodgers and Padres finish with a tie, the Padres win because they have the tiebreaker. So again, if the Padres win tonight and tomorrow, they not only take a lead in the NLS, they control their own destiny. If the Padres win out, they win the NLS. So definitely a lot to think about. And that says Flaherty won't lose. The offense might though. Yeah. That's a little ouch. Jack Flaherty has given up at least four runs tonight, says Andrew. Can we match those four runs? I really doubt it. Beerus Thomas says every game is a must win. That's definitely definitely at this point. Matt Leiter says Dodger showed in the ninth inning. They can get on base with hits when they want to. Yeah, we got to see a little more of that ninth inning Dodgers from last night, you know, pre triple play, of course, but I mean, those three straight hits. And we got to see a little more of that because I mean, again, there was a rally for I feel like the first time in forever, we saw a really nice rally. So a little more from that. Tom Verneas has a problem with Dodgers. They are in kickback and weight mode frequently. They used to have a punch to their team in the mouth. We can be anytime at any place swagger. They lost that. Yeah, there's definitely been a lot to talk about. This team definitely needs to have some of that swagger. And this is a perfect time to have that swagger. And again, I want to kind of just mention that thing I mentioned a little earlier. The Padres celebrated last night. They celebrated that Dodgers stadium. They celebrated in the locker room. They celebrated on the field. They got drunk. They had a great time. Now here's the thing. I totally understand celebrating when you clench a playoff berth. The Dodgers don't do that. They're used to it by now. I understand team celebrating when they make the playoffs, the Padres didn't make it a year ago. At the same time, there are two games that are arguably the most important games of the season for both teams. Everyone talks about the hangover game, which again, that has happens after you clinched their division or something. And you're kind of in like the, the comment just said, kickback mode. Padres are not in that mode. Now the Padres are a really good team at having the energy. You have to imagine that has to be some sort of hangover effect after last night. And I don't know. I'm not a pro athlete. I don't know how it works. I'm not going to pretend, but I feel like this is a perfect opportunity for the Dodgers to punch the Padres back in the mouth. I don't want to see the Dodgers win. I want to see them dominate. I want to see Flaherty go seven innings, one or zero run. I want to see the offense explode early against Dylan C. If there's not an easy thing to do, but I feel like this is a daughters opportunity to not only win, but show that they are the best team in the NLS show that they're the best team in the National League and show that they are ready for October baseball. Because I think a lot of fans after last night, the number one concern is this team isn't ready for October baseball. You know, this team is not ready to have the same energy and the same winning momentum capability that they've had all year long. And you know, after the last two years of unfortunate NLDS defeats, this is the year where they need to be ready for October baseball. So I want to see Bookey have a good game tonight. I want to see ready, have a good game tonight. I want to see T. Oscar come through in a big moment. And on the pitching side, I love what I saw from the bullpen yesterday, five shutout innings. I want to see that again. All right. I want to see the bullpen continue to do what they're doing and have fun. We got a super shot here. I don't know if this is a bad word, but I'm going to just do my best here. Star Man 499 said that triple play was a G O O C H E R. It might be over. I don't know what that means. I really don't. I didn't say it just in case, but that's what he said. I don't know what that word means. It was brutal. The triple play was brutal. I'll give you that one star, man. It was definitely brutal. A few more comments here. And then we'll get out of here because we had a really fun show. And we got to get ready for the Dodgers. There's a lot going on. All right. Ginger starts. I want Edmund to be that here. That would be awesome. He's look good. Go. He said, Mookie played a horrible and looks horrible defense offense and on base. Yeah. I think there are people not happy about the jogging yesterday. Tom Vernia says Bette's dog in it yesterday was inexcusable. You don't love to see that. Comra Alexander says playoff P T S D. Joe man says the solution is very simple. Play small ball. Doc is not allowed though. Definitely a lot of a lot of fired neighbor Roberts today. I haven't been able to catch them. So I'm sorry about that guys. Jay Valdez says that was the plan. Let them celebrate and get drunk so they could be hung over in tonight's game. Yeah, again, I mean, this is a time will says tell Noel. I said hi. Well, I will want to do a man. And my boy will work somewhere at Dodgers stadium. He'll be going crazy. I'm going to visit the studio real soon. Shout out to you. Will shout out to you. Yeah. Tom Vernia says Bette to focus on baseball. Yaga mill three three. So no, what about Mookie swing at the other batter's box that strike out with bases loaded? Yeah, that's a thick. You don't love a movie did earlier in the game. But I really wanted to have an opportunity again. McKell Ross puts down the bunt. You know, Tony gets walked. It's now bases loaded one out for Mookie Bette. That is a redemption opportunity. So I would love to see that. But I will have to do it today instead. Definitely a lot of comments about people not really loving what they've seen for Mookie right now. Let's just see what Mookie can do again. I think this is a really, really big game for not even the Dodgers, but for Mookie. You know, I mean, show the fans how you can come up in these big moments like you did back in 2020 because this is a time to do that and pretend everyone should pretend there's a playoff game. Okay. And this is a wild card right now. You got to win these next two games to clinch the division and avoid the wild card around altogether. So that's what I want to see. Let's end with a little call at your shot. Antonio, let's start with you. Who is home Marine today? And also I want score predictions for today's game. Okay. So call your shot. Who's in the home run today and then score prediction for tonight's game. I'm going to say multi home run game by Teosha by Teoska Hernandez. All right. Final score. I'm going to say 9/11 Dodgers. Never forget. Okay. Okay. Picked and interesting. Well, I'll start with the Teoska one. I'll actually all end with the Teoska one too. Yeah. Great prediction. High scoring game. It's going to be good. But yeah, Teoska. Okay. No L Sanchez. Moving over to you. Who's going yard tonight? Let's get a score prediction. Give me showhill, tiny home run in his first half bat of the game before I'm going to set the tone real quick. Start off the game with the with the nice Dinger final prediction. Dodgers win seven to three. Okay. I like seven to three. Let me read some of your comments. I'll give you my prediction. We'll get out of here. Dave Nander says 17 to one Padres. Not what I want to start these predictions. The infamous El Guapo says Dodgers win it today. I don't know about tomorrow. To be fair. I mean, yes, both wins would be great. They at least have to win one. Okay. If they at least win one, the sweep of the Rockies wins in the division. So at least got to win one. We got let me get a few more here. He's moving fast. David Mm says, Oh, Tawny homers. Jose Aguiras says, daughters need to get never. Well, I'll reach some of it. Daughters need to get some bat. Wet torto so they can dominate. I feel like I just said something nasty there. I know. I'll talk about it. They sounded good. I am. I'm hungry. So one is a daughter's need to stop dancing on the bases. Kregos Rick says, Oh, Tawny and Muncio. You're not into 390 says Dodgers losing tonight. Just an opinion says 10 to one Dodgers. Jesus Savera. Dras says, guys, where's DMACC DMACC go to his Twitter, fill with a little back injury. He'll hopefully back soon. I'm just filling in for now. Few more here. Ryan Wheeler says Padres fan here. I think you have a fair reasonable take. Dodgers still sitting in the driver's seat with two heads. It's a pretty exciting series. We see all at the game tomorrow. We'll see all the game tomorrow night. J camp says Bookey's going deep after a Tawny walk. Daughters winning four to one. Oh, they're moving fast. Neil Casamo says, daughters offense to rely on iPads when they won the world series. They weren't allowed. Jose Aguiras says, Dodgers dominate 69 to zero. That would be quite an historic win. Nice. If the Dodgers won 69 to nothing, I'm going to finish it up with my prediction right here. 20 or does the third says 10 to three Dodgers. Let me finish out with mine right here. I think Jack Flaherty pitches a really good game. Six innings, one run. Give me eight strikeouts. I think the bullpen gives up one run, but the Dodgers offense will be the story of today. I am with Noel. I have a show. Hey, Oh, Tawny, home run today. I got a Mookie bets to hit game. And I have the Dodgers winning seven to two. Okay. Dodgers get a big win when seven to two. And now tomorrow night, which is Bueller versus Joe Musgrove. That is for the division. All right. So I'm not going to talk about tomorrow yet. I'm talking about tonight, seven to two Dodgers.
