It's a hall and oats Tuesday on a victory Tuesday on Grant and Danny coming your way from the tri-state areas where we are still enjoying ourselves after an incredible night in Cincinnati. The Washington commanders on prime time with the country watching on national television under the lights went to a desperate Bengals building a raucous loud environment and moved up and down the field with ease in the coming out party for Jayden Daniels a star may have been born last night Danny Ruier a casual 38 points a five-point win the first place commanders are two and one and it was a style points victory last night. Many years ago the great stone cold Steve Austin cut one of the all-time promos in raslin history he looked at the ring and said get that piece of crap out my ring talking about Jayden say Roberts but I might as well be talking about the Cincinnati Bengals bro you're desperate that's adorable we've got Jayden Daniels hey Joe burrow MVP candidate we've got Jayden Daniels the entire stadium last night felt what I have felt for decades the entire fan base there in Cincinnati the Queen City but maybe it's in Kentucky maybe it's Indiana I don't care they felt what I had to feel for 30-plus years be jealous swallow it taste my pain it's our turn it's our time he is here he wears number five everyone else can line up and kiss 100 percent of my tuckus just taste the fury that we have what you don't have that was incredible what a joyful perfect evening last night my friend it was masterpiece offensively Jayden Daniels take a bow just an incredible performance near perfection for him 21 of 23 passing he had two incompletions while throwing for 250 yards his first two career touchdown passes he rushed for another so he scored more times last night than he had incompletions as Washington's offense for the second time in his many weeks did not punt in fact we're going to have tressway on the show today because he needs something to do we're going to call him at 330 and I don't even know if we need to ask him about the game or really have any kind of a conversation I just want to make sure he's alive I want to make sure he's still in their contract he hasn't retired he hasn't quit want to make sure he's going to Arizona or maybe we should just tell him to hang out with his wife and the kids in Ashburn because he's not needed anymore your services are no longer needed Jayden Daniels took your number and essentially your job away as well because this team doesn't punt anymore because he has a cheat code on third and short and fourth and short with what he provides with his feet but it was just so exciting last night to me the dream and the hope with Daniels and this is not linear this isn't what it's going to be every single week that shouldn't be the expectation but he had a game last night Danny that almost every quarterback in the league cannot have it goes back to my scouting theorem with baseball you take out your notebook you get your stopwatch out right you're scouted a baseball game you you're spitting your sunflower seeds out I see a pitcher throw 97 and then I see him rip off a really good breaking ball with feel for a change-up I pack everything up I go home now it's my job to figure out how to get that out of him all the time and locate and pitch with command and get the most out of him but he's got that and 99 percent of pitchers on the planet don't Jayden Daniels had a game last night name the quarterbacks in this organization through the year certainly recently or historically they can't do that they can't Taylor Heineke on his best day no Carson Wentz on his best day no Alex Smith on two legs no Alex Smith on one leg absolutely not that game that he had last night is kind of the dream didn't just start running at any sign of trouble he scrambled to reset right he's finding wide receivers someone tell Cam Taylor Britt by the way that that was an NFL offense they involved wide receivers Danny McClellan McCaffery Noah Brown the Army Brown all made huge plays as the game went along but how fun was it just to be in that environment and to enjoy back-and-forth electric offensive football shots being exchanged between an AFC heavyweight supposedly although they're on three and Washington what a fun night it was the rare great evening the thing that makes the whole experience worth it for a commander's fan I'm gonna hold on to that one for a while dude and here's and I thought it would go differently I said so in the air it wasn't just me doing bits or being negative net it's it setbacks are gonna happen you touched on already and this is pro sports it humbles you the best in the world fail you know Juan Soto who's gonna make six hundred million dollars started off a season you know through two months hitting two 19 a couple years ago right stuff happens this is really really hard at this level it's there's no higher league than what they're doing and what was happening last night you touched on it since now it was desperate they needed that one really really really badly their own three now which is unfathomable to me and you still saw the bones of how good that offense is from our chases uncomfortable Joe bro is excellent and could do so much they did whatever they wanted on offense and yet they were chasing Washington's offense which will not punt they're not going to do it they're probably a time where they may pressure probably get the film going in and out there nope we've got Jayden Daniels the other defense the other team is terrified is sitting there cowering in the shadows as we have done for so many years knowing that that third long is about to be converted knowing that the fourth and two the other OC it was smirking because he had something cooked up that was going to involve a scramble or a misdirection or an over-the-top or whatever what an unbelievably fun environment again I'd no will will towards bangles fans they were very courteous nice kind to us I would even say that there was the nicest experience with visiting fans I've ever had I would put maybe lambo field in green bay up there kind of in the vicinity but everybody I think it's because Washington's so harmless so we're there with our buddies uh Kandorian Murad and their crew and everyone's in burgundy and gold they're rocking their jerseys we had a high-nicky jersey in the crew we had a Portis jersey Sean Taylor jerseys and everyone just kind of like oh cute these little Washington fans here to see their team get their teeth kicked in and they empathized with us they're like they know what it's like to be embarrassed because they they were the laughing stock for decades right a couple flare-ups here and they're recently they've been very good and they and again they're sort of like we we get it man it's it's uh it's it's tough it's it's fun it's not fun to be the laughing stock so they were stunned certainly it was happening last but then when it went the other way they were like happy for us it was very strange yeah oh this is you guys don't get many of these it's just kind of fun for you so it was it was a really pleasant experience we had unbelievable seats thanks to our guys uh right in the club level at about the 15-yard line action in front of us all night long um you can check out instagram at grand h pulse and i posted a bunch of pics and videos from where we're sitting in with the crew but it was a perfect experience I didn't want to tell one quick story from before the game because this I think sums up how impressive the night was for washing it so we get into the stadium and by the way it's a great downtown here right across the river we walked really cool down along the the banks of the ohio river essentially there's like bars and restaurants between great american ball park where the reds play and then where the bangles play and we're walking in and the drums are being beaten and everyone's you know they're like selling boxes of pizza by the four dollars and everyone just eating in the street it's kind of wild and that the scenes were great couple of people who obviously made the trip were yelling granddanny you know it was like just a big party it was a football fun time right so we're walking into the stadium we get to our seats we sit down about a half hour before the kick and the slow build up as everyone got to their seats was electric and then the last five minutes before the kick there's this app that everybody has on their phone here where basically your flashlight is taken over and they do this light show and apparently thomas tell me the only other couple of times like playoff game maybe the the big bangles bills game uh for you know the top of the conference a couple seasons ago but they had this new stanch and they brought out for the introductions with fireworks and they did this light show and then they go into this old school like 1950s anthem they play after every score so we heard it a lot last night yes there many scores and it goes into the huday song that they love to scream who's going to meet the bangles or whatever so this is all happening i say all this to tell you that we're sitting in our seats we are moments away from the kick off the bangles are lining up to receive the kick and the place is out of control i mean is bonkers new world is one in terms of like the din and the noise and like how thunderous it is because the sound can't go anywhere this is number two now for me that's only because it's a dome though i would say yeah seriously yeah but i i have been in having traveled on that beat for four years denver i would have always said or Seattle we're the loudest i experienced i would put this right up at the top yep it was so loud i'm sitting between daris and danny i could not hear anything either of them were saying so anyway cyber it's got the ball teed up he's ready to kick off on monday football and danny and i make eye contact and danny says basically screaming next to me so i could hear him he goes we're going to get mud stopped like exactly that's how it felt right i mean in you and i'm like i couldn't disagree i mean it was just such an amazing environment and the bangles needed the game so badly their season in a lot of ways was on the line you were going to get mud stomp and sure enough about five plays in two minutes of game later the bangles went right down the field with the touchdown to jamar chase it was like taking candy from a baby and so i see him by the way single covered on the left side and i turn to you and daris and i go i point it's a touchdown to march ace yeah you called it right before the snap and sure enough uh he i think it was mikey sandward still that he beat and it's seven nothing and it's absolute pandemonium in that place and i'm going oh my god just survive just get through this never did they survive they walked right down the field and scored a touchdown like it was it was insignificant like they were bored they're like i guess we have to do this eventually we're you guys are gonna get them all back but we we got this touchdown we got to score real quick but the feeling after that touchdown at least for for you and me and daris we're like you know what let's just if jayden has a pretty good game and the offense moves the ball it's calm down a little bit they look professional i don't care if they win or lose like let's just not get embarrassed let's go home with some pride and let's regroup against the cardinals next week yeah like that was kind of the thought but washington's got jayden daniels and all week long leading up to the game the reason i had them covering is not just because now five and a half point dogs or more are 14 and 2 in the national football league this year but what if daniels has one of those games that makes the hype and the promise and the conversation worthwhile right like supposedly we got one of the great athletes in the league no why can't he just go out and be a star why can't he play this unbelievable game in prime time and that was kind of the point all week long i kept going but what if the guy that were told always elevates his game on the big stage what if we're told the guy that won the Heisman and was amazing last year was going to be incredible this year plays like it this is not an insurmountable task the vengals are a bad defensive team that's all in two and with that loud environment a seven-point deficit that offense trots out onto the field for the first time dani they played on the big board i thought this was awesome you actually pointed out to me there was this sign that said the commander's offense has requested silence dot dot dot and then it says please act accordingly and people lost their minds it was so funny it was good but it was so loud and i'm going oh my god oh my god i'm thinking this is a three and out i don't know how you could possibly complete a pass right now they're trying to communicate with each other and you know you're you're in you can clearly see one guy's in another dude's ear holding like go over there come back here and i'm like they're going to get plays off i mean this this is going to be it's just an all-time shellacking and it could have been different ten plays later yeah 70 yard touchdown drive seven to seven crowd was quiet they did not punt they did not in that environment that i just described commit one penalty until the fourth quarter not a false start not a flinch everybody should take a damn bow from Dan Quinn to Cliff Kingsbury this was a freaking Mona Lisa of a painting to Jaden Daniels who was nearly flawless offensively individually i'm sure guys screwed things up or weren't perfect i missed this block i had this assignment i didn't catch this pass whatever it was i threw this in completion there's a line to remember the Titan stanny where Julius Campbell the offensive end goes you know we are not perfect coach but collectively as a team we are 11 and 0 so we are perfect and if it's okay with you i'd like to continue try to be perfect collectively last night washenan's offense was perfect in that environment that i just described so there's a just thinking about Daniel specifically one of my favorite um nerdy analyst kind of Josh Norris i think he's with underdog fantasy apologies if i've got that wrong but uh had a great breakdown of a couple different dropbacks in different plays and this is my favorite thing so we know we're going to go through all the cool throws all the amazing moments the deep shot to mcclorn that the world was the game when he touched down also in mcclorn and a couple of the amazing moments there is a nondescript moment that i want to highlight that kind of proves um sort of the point here and it's this there was a player there were only a couple receivers out in the route i think it was a um kind of a play action thing and Ben's senate is free i would say middle of the field about 17 yards away from the line of scrimmage he's open but not in a conventional way in a jayden dandels needs to manipulate this guy and this guy with both body language and his eyes and it needed to be thrown a microsecond ago with pace but also some touch in front of a safety it would have been to me a 400 level quarterbacking type throw right a a broken make it mohomes makes it you know maybe a couple other guys right in air rogers could do it in his prime et cetera and the analyst either doesn't see it isn't looking for it or whatever so then because nothing's around pressure happens he turns into a five-yard game it's a nondescript five-yard game it's you know move the that that helped move the sticks just yet but keeps him in a positive down a distance and norse's point was even when he's quote-unquote wrong talking about daniels he's right that's what's special that's to me the the the blessing that's the perfect storm of things that takes what would be negatives for everybody else and that only isn't a negative for you but turns it to a positive just that those little hidden moments in there whether it's pryin robinson thumping into traffic for only two yards a carry a lot of those get lost in terms of our productivity or lack thereof but there was so few negative plays for them and you mentioned only a couple fall starts that occurred late there in the fourth quarter but everything was churning forward everything was was designed well scheme well executed at a high level that we haven't seen in a long time around these parts man no it was perfect they were able to stay on schedule and via game script dictate terms and what i mean by that is like what they did in any situation is amazing i don't care if you're at home against the panthers i don't care if you're on the road in Cincinnati or Kansas City or anywhere else i don't care if they're playing stone bridge high school like what they did last night was incredible in any environment but i think what happened was it's easier to play well when you do all the little things correctly when you never have a penalty so you're never setting yourself up to be behind the chains when you never lose yards on first down or on a first down run i think they ran on their first ten uh six first downs first intense uh mostly with running backs but occasionally with Daniels when you're getting six seven like they did with eckler on the first play of the game eight occasionally and it's second and short it's a play caller's dream so all night long they were ahead of the chains all night long they avoided penalties they never turn the ball over it's just the perfect environment situation for good offense they didn't really make any big blunders any mistakes and so it elevates the tide massively if you come out next week against Arizona on sunday and you know you commit a holding penalty in a false start in the first two drives you might have punted twice that kind of thing never happened once so that's number one the other point you make on Daniels i think is correct which is to say he has the ability to make the bad play okay right which is what happens with running pastors you know guys like Lamar Jackson guys like Josh Allen or whoever it is that's a playmaker and a dual threat who's mobile where there were a few plays last night where when you go back and you watch you'll go oh you could have hit that he ended up scrambling for six and it's second and four who cares right you see what i'm saying or oh that guy was open for a first down now you threw it to this guy and you got a first down anyway which also speaks to Cliff Kingsbury but we need to give some flowers too absolutely but we beat up pretty good after week one i think deservedly but it was been in his bag just dominating defensive coordinators for two weeks now what he did last night to lure in arromo you can be arrested for in 13 states i mean that was so irresponsible and mean the level of assault he just completely pulled his pants down like your buddy did the in high school in front of everyone it's so embarrassing for an arromos boxers came down too yeah right it's right i mean right there during the pep rally the whole school is there you got your local rival that night and it all i mean it's just it all came down and arromo's making his speech and now he gets pants and you haven't taken the clippers to it a little while here comes cliff and you know like man that was mean that was malicious washington they didn't know which way was up gp start going three rushing touchdowns in the first half first time commanders have rushed for three touchdowns and a half since ninety nine scored the most offensive points in the first half that they have since week three of twenty eighteen they scored on every drive in the last two games now excluding kneel downs the only team since at least two thousand to score on every drive in multiple games excluding kneel downs in a row and we saw the first game between both teams last night since 1940 you and i were at with darison company carleton was there that neither team punted or turned the football over first time since 1940 that you know we saw that it was just an amazing game we don't get enough of these and it's why today is a celebratory victory tuesday a holenotes tuesday on grant and danny but let's do this next let's open up the phones for the first time at eight hundred six three six one oh six seven we'll push game balls and gases and today it's just going to be game balls and game balls and also game balls we can beat up on the defense a little bit tomorrow if we need to but game balls and game balls today we'll do that at three o'clock next when is the last time you were this jacked up about a win it was this hard to go to bed because you just wanted to keep reading the content it was this easy to wake up and throw your gear on when is the last time you felt this type of joy and excitement about a commander's victory eight hundred six three six one oh six seven is the number on grant and danny here on the fan the play clock they don't the three seconds left annuals flips he's got another and this time it's Trent Scott tackle was the extra offensive lineman and what a night for the commanders yeah i don't know if that's a record that your first touchdown pass goes to a offensive lineman but uh i saw him coming off with this and i thought that was pretty cool um but more than anything um you know just executing down the red zone last week obviously we had some you know we're frustrated not that we were making kicks but frustrating that we were kicking and uh so tonight to have the ability to score down there i thought was huge for us hauling oats Tuesday on grant and danny on the fan the commanders went to Cincinnati and beat the bengals ass hung 38 on a team trying to get right washington's offense terrific all night long we are at thumbs watch bar the hollywood casino a downtown in the sports book in loresburg in indiana the tri-state areas have been kind of the boys we've been traveling all over kentucky since nanny in indiana the last few nights it has been a lot of fun we are flying back to the dmv today so that fat guy touched down there for Trent scott the thick six as it were later in the show i want to play kevin harlins call the cannon break it down it's just so good but there's a little discussion after the game it sounds like between Trent scott the lineman who will never again cut your touchdown and jayden daniels who threw his first touchdown pass as we all bet it he would to an offensive lineman who gets the football it would be intuitive generally for the hyzeman trophy winner the face of the franchise the guy hopefully who's going to be the answer here for many many years to come to just keep the football but Trent scott man he's an offensive lineman he doesn't get to do that so danny i ask you Trent scott or jayden daniels who should get the ball um it's jayden daniels and uh i don't think there's any question about that Trent scott that's adorable that's a cool story you're the answer to a trivia question hopefully that's people we're going to care about in a long time um respectfully i'm not that interested in Trent scott i need jayden daniels to get everything at all times so it's his football as far as i'm concerned i'd give it to Trent scott if i'm jayden and i would say listen man give me a few hundred more of these coming for me this is the one you're going to get so you enjoy this one i'll keep my dime to terry mcclaurin which was one of the most amazing throws i've seen in person he got destroyed on that play and he knew it too absolutely walloped basically crown of the helmet to the chin laid out on his back annihilated he threw the ball into the corner of the end zone when terry was still not even at the defensive back who was playing off coverage you normally wouldn't even run that play there but mcclaurin called the play went over to the sideline told cliff kingsbury put me on the right by myself let me run a go ball and let's go home let's win this football game and terry after the game was essentially saying how this was the first time i was empowered and they trusted me to to let me call my number and they said okay let's do it and they ran it anyway that play by the way had a 10 percent chance of being completed via next-gen stats at the moment of the throw the lowest percentage chance of a completion for a completed pass all season in the nfl by far the throw of the early year for jayden daniel's it was just amazing but this was daniel's after the game talking about the football in question we'll get to that in just a couple of moments the numbers 800 636 1067 800 636 1067 on grant and danny here on the fan i want to hit the phones in a moment danny why don't you answer the question that we're going to go to the phones on here when is the last time you felt this excited about a commander's win november 22nd 2012 against the dellis cowboys on thanksgiving uh there would been some nice moments for sure of that season but they were three and six going into the bi-week they'd beaten philadelphia who was kind of falling apart and a little bit of a mess and they were four and six it didn't really feel like anything special was happening it felt like this is a nice novelty act but the offense had really scuffled since put up 38 points in minnesota more than a month before and they'd been shut down by pittsburgh by carolina uh the giants had beaten them when they couldn't execute very well and it wasn't going in the right direction and they came out and also ironically i suppose put up 38 points on thanksgiving against dallis and could not be stopped little did we know at the time that was going to be win two of that seven win stretch the catapult to them the playoffs but that was the this isn't just a gimmick that the league has adjusted to this is real and we have something really special so i was thinking about my favorite games that i've either attended or watched over the years and i was at most of these but i came up with five before last night since 2012 so 12 years of football that i would consider to be the games that made me really proud to be a dm v guy who grew up rooting for this team and to be the dad of a kid who this morning is wearing a jadon daniel's jersey as he's hanging out on the playground 2017 was the last time there was a game that i thought leaving the game it was like oh my god that was amazing what a feeling and it was the sunday night football went over the raiders it was early in the year kirk went 365 and three through the air and they dominated the two and oh raiders team in week three do you remember that of course yeah because that raiders team had come up with 12 winces in the year before they were really good there were two and oh and washington whooped them i thought maybe the commanders i guess it wouldn't have been the commanders at the time but maybe the red skins are pretty good year before that 2016 a lot of these are based on prime time i think that's actually a big part of it because it just feels different if it's not a one o'clock sunday game but how about that windy game for the red skins in the packers in 2016 on sunday night football another really good opponent in green bay under the lights and in that game remember 42 24 washington they had the huge rob kelly game i think you ran for 130 oh i love rob kelly man kelly man kirk went 375 and three through the air 2015 when they won the division championship in philadelphia in week 16 division title on the line between the eagles and the red skins cousins 365 and four through the air that was kind of one of those nights they won a division championship is that cheating because it's a playoff clinching win no it's not cheating at all okay that's you're excited you're talking about your excitement level and then there was three in 2012 i would go with the week 17 game where griffin alfred morris 200 yards three touchdowns on the ground win the division at fedex field against the cowboys the thanksgiving game you referenced and then the saints game in week one of 2012 the debut of griffin where robert threw for 320 and a pair and he also ran for 50 yards and alph and his debut ran for a couple touchdowns in 95 yards for cal shanahan so those are i just went through six games of account last night as my favorite games of the last decade plus that said to answer the question directly danny the last time i felt as hopeful and as excited and that little voice in the back of my head saying maybe this is a thing maybe they're good maybe they got the guy but it was as loud as it is this morning week one 2012 in new orleans yep that's what last night felt like to me i woke up this morning going don't get ahead of yourself don't rush to judgment everyone everywhere is going to be throwing the party and saying it's over and saying nothing matters everyone's gonna have the big we got the guy celebration and after last night god is it hard not to think that way there's no reason to rush we don't we don't have to slam the gavel today but i have not felt this way about this team since i have after the griffin game in week one in new orleans and it's because of the quarterback how young he is how good he looked how can you not feel good this morning how can you not feel like everything is possible yeah hundred percent i mean in the ups and downs of that season if if you remember i know you obviously were on the beat and you you were there you know firsthand seeing all these different things but the start was incredible and then that swoon happened where you know they got beat by Cincinnati griffin was concussed against it lana and there was all the is he running too much what's happening what are we doing and is the offense really that good and you know because they were they were kind of in a slow bi-week happens chanhan does they were evaluating everybody uh which doesn't sound like a team it's about to rip off seven in a row and then of course they did it was this magical ride so like the the undulations of that year you go back to that new orleans game where nobody'd see anything like it you went oh my god look at this is on this is so beyond what anybody had expected or hoped for we didn't see it in the preseason we had no clue they kind of took the league by storm and then that late season run made it seem hey this is more than a flash in a pan this is more than something people hadn't seen this is for real and we of course know how it ended and so there's a lot of us myself included where i'm pretty scared from that where i i'm feeling these feelings again you know and and the last girl that did that left me at the altar and broke my heart ripped it out and shot my heart with a with a uh a 12 gauge and then lit it on fire with a witching ceremony so i'm a little bit reticent to hope again but i'll be damned if i don't feel those feelings you're the guy on the bachelor who's like i just put my walls up i can't take my walls down i've been burned too many times my walls that's a great bit your walls are up man i do i have my johns up you know what happened last night washington took the field against a bangles team that is better than them and the commanders had the best player on the field that evened everything out yeah i will also say though that i think the king's berry plan was amazing i grew this because i don't want to take anything away from jade and daniel's the throwy made to teary down the field on the 55 yarder was a die that's a Rembrandt right there you cannot walk that to the player better and that wasn't even his best rotatory the touchdown the mcclaurin was even better but they had receivers open all night on huge downs and distances like there was never really a play where king's berry got got by an aroma was there third and one fourth and one fourth and two fourth and four zak hurts was always open that they always had an answer there was one step ahead of Cincinnati it was just a a clinic to watch and while we're talking about fourth downs dan quinn went for a fourth and two on the opening drive from the 34 the 30 yard completion the luke mccaffrey who had his own coming out party last night fourth and one at the 33 they went for it got four yards that was the jade and daniel scramble he kind of ran basically powerful lowered his shoulders lamar style and then fourth and fourth to 39 late in the game with 430 to go they could have kicked a long field goal would have been like a 52 yarder i don't know that i trust cyber there so they rolled the dice put the ball in daniel's hands and earth's got free for nine but there were three for three on fourth down in addition to being really good on third down let's hit the phones next eight hundred six three six one oh six seven we will let you guys give us your thoughts on this game by way of this question when was the last time you were this fired up about this football team we're granting danny on the fan i just call a job and did you have an issue with that do you like those are that's not what we do that that's not what we do we we praise our own team um praise the other team we don't need to take shots like that that team hasn't hasn't pointed in two weeks they've scored on every single possession the last two weeks um so i've got a tremendous amount of respect for what they're doing over there i've known cliff a long time um i knew paired with that quarterback this is going to be a very dangerous offense to play against and they've proven us so hola notes triumphant tuesday grantin danny on the fan the voice of zack taylor the oh and three head coach of the bangles who's took issue post-game there with his corner back cam taylor brit who called washington's offense a college offense pretty good college leading up to the game as i said last week i really didn't think he meant it as a pejorative it kind of is and by the way a lot of the league is college and nfl blended together guess what it's super effective that's what it is it's an effective offense but it looked a lot different last night i will say through two games at about four times the rate of most offenses in the league their throws to wide receivers were behind the line of scrimmage last night their throws to wide receivers were often really far from the line of scrimmage hmm so that's the down field you're looking for there way way down the field i would love to find out in his heart of arts what he thinks commanders a holder tresway will be on the show today at three thirty here on grant and danny we just need to check in with him that's all he's in arizona with the rest of the team getting ready for the cardinals they flew out last night to stay the entire week out in phoenix but we haven't seen him and we miss him a little bit and we're not sure if he's still on the team or not so we'll check in with tres to three thirty let's get to the phones eight hundred six three six one oh six sevens the number last time you were this excited tony long island gets us started on grant danny what's up zone boys how are we feeling today pretty damn good sir not bad oh my god listen i mean danny you stole my thunder um i haven't felt this good since that's right a morning after thanksgiving with rg3 um but this is very different um this was staggering uh if i can give you to some things that i'm feeling uh what rg3 you know you always felt he was playing beyond his capabilities in the nfl there was a wild reckless style to him that he didn't have at balor what do you see with jade and ganels is exactly who he is the lsu tapes had no lives there's a calmness there's an easy smooth part to his games and you know i'm going to give you guys an analogy and i know you may not like it i don't know if you're gonna like it but what i was watching yesterday you feel the confidence danny clint had what i was watching yesterday to me watching the game as a fan he brought a calmness to me watching the game of confidence go forward on forth go for it do it he had that darick gida quality where he was slowing down the game for us and the defense it was a much faster game so let me argue go ahead well appreciate the phone call zone is always i wanted to get right to that go ahead i wanted to get right to that one point that you made about the that let's go for it you know the the darick cheater mentality when i went back last night we got to the hotel we immediately rewatched the game and me and the the guys uh from uh kian and waseem in the crew from kondori and muraq and we're sitting in our room and we're watching the game and the first thing that stands out in addition all the amazing plays and the big throws was daniels on fourth imploring to stay on the field that's a lamaar like i'm the cheat code it's fourth in short they cannot stop me they cannot stop us i'm not coming off the field that mentality is awesome right after they get a big first down on a fourth espn kind of zooming in on his face mask and you see him yelling to the sideline danny to dan quinn and frankly kingsbury probably like give me the play give me the play he's and they're trying to slow him down quinn is literally on the sideline and he's doing like the the push down motion like settle down we're going to be okay and jaden's going like no no no gas like i got this let's go let's go make plays he's got that instinct and and that motor and sometimes you want to control that if you're dan quinn and slow everything down but i thought it was a really good night for quinn with the fourth down decisions there was a sequence late we're on second down they show kingsbury call in a play he's got his his eye hop menu in front of him and dan quinn's in his ear danny and he's already saying you can see he's like we're going for this so on second down as he's calling the play well i had a third down he's letting him know if we get to a fourth we're going for this you got two plays but he was just it seemed like he was operating a step ahead and he was on it all night long tune that's absolutely right and and it's the kind of that wherewithal and the calmness i think that that 20 was talking about that you're looking for now there's still some of those mechanical moments where a timeout happens where it probably shouldn't or you know after a big gain it looked like they were a little frank to get in the play and etc when you silence the crowd i understand when it's hard to get everybody lined up when everybody's going badass and everyone's you know yelling at you when you can't really get everybody where you need him to be then you got to burn a timeout to save a five-year penalty whatever but some of those logistical things you know aren't perfect and maybe we never will be to satisfy you know some of the dorks among us to care about that sort of thing but it did feel like this wasn't too big for dan quan whereas not to beat up on his predecessor but a lot of times it did it felt like reveres just going to sit there look stoic because he has no other answer he's going to sit over his arms folded because it was too big for him like the game had passed him and it didn't feel that way last night certainly it sounds like revisionist history to say oh the game was too big for robert or like he was smoking mirrors when he was playing well i don't know if that's fair i will say and this is not hindsight becoming wisdom this is something you and i argued a little bit about at the time if you remember but like i always felt this way they were mixing potions in the lab for him i mean it was a lot of half the read fields and the drift route behind the linebackers on play action off of read option and i mean last night was a pretty sustainable looking model but you had the team off balance that you're playing and i never really knew what was coming and they were just ahead of them on everything and that comes from no penalties no turnovers playing with the lead yeah like everything is ideal that's that happens probably 20 percent of the time so that's going to be the challenge moving forward when's the last time you guys felt this good about the commanders that's the question on grant and danny we'll do game balls and game balls next hour plus at three thirty commanders holder trest way joins the show right here on the fan robinson walks in touchdown washington and a really impressive answer for this young commander team down by seven the commanders marched 70 yards on 10 plays tied the game never looked back crossroads as that offense took the field last night after a disastrous opening drive for the defense in one of the most hostile regular season road environments i've seen in a while and you and i were sitting there danny yep it was loud and it was not where you wanted jayden daniels and that offense to be needing to go get points to try to stave off what could have been in early landslide but he in the offense very calmly matriculated down the field the only shame of the entire game frankly austin eckler's injury yeah ended up with a concussion he will not join us today at five p.m. as you can imagine because he's in the concussion protocol so that's a bummer but i bring him up because on the first play of the game they handed him the ball of a passing look seven yards next play they threw to him first down a couple plays later on the opening drive they hit him for a screen that went for like 15 and another first down he was cooking right out of the gate and he got them across midfield almost single-handedly with the snap of a finger had a big game had the huge kick return to start the second half to steal momentum back from Cincinnati and really deflate them i think coming out of intermission when they made whatever adjustments they were going to so he was huge in the early going to this game he is so good so obviously speedy recovery because it's him and the person we want to make sure that he's hey okay and as you said to bummer he won't join us today uh i think he's the rest of the team flew to arizona last night he stayed behind in Cincinnati obviously getting checked out his health is his paramount that's the most important thing just more football perspective those we're talking about it i love it early austin eckler involvement he's so good with the ball in his hands he's so explosive the you mentioned the intro the intro carried to the right for eight yards throwing it to him there's not much there he's sort of you know leaking behind guys and wiggle and burst and power to get himself another first down he's so good with the ball in his hands grant and danny triumphant Tuesday hollenotes Tuesday on the fan the rookie quarterback led the way last night the local football team looks to have a bright future and it is time for you to plan your future as well the exclusive sponsor of our show and our trip out to Cincinnati this weekend into monday night football the law firm of kandorian moron they can help you update your last will and testament set up a trust for you and your family schedule a free consultation but they're a state planning attorneys today visit km lawyers dot com be sure to tell them that we sent you so that you can get a discount that's km lawyers dot com offices are in fairfax they serve virginia maryland and dc though they can help you wherever you're at they're rock stars uh in the dc area so check them out they've been a great hang all weekend want to get back to the phones in a second eight hundred six three six one oh six seven gauge the excitement level today on the m gm national harbor listener lines eight hundred six three six one oh six seven uh some notes on jadon daniels though after last night danny twenty one of twenty three through the air a ninety one point three percent completion percentage the highest completion percentage by a rookie in a single game in nfl history with at least twenty passes also the single game high in franchise history twenty or more passes he's been immensely accurate obviously accuracy and completion percentage are not necessarily you know synonyms but last night i thought the ball was where it needed to be the vast majority of the time pretty easy to say that when you only have two incompletions yeah without a doubt here's some other nuggets though pff grading on the quarterback position so they watch the tape they give you a plus a minus they grade you on every single snap daniels finished yesterday with a ninety four five point nine overall pff grade the highest single game grade by any quarterback for washington in the history of the pff grading which goes back several years also the single highest game grade for any quarterback in the nfl this season so you've now had three weeks of football right 16 teams have played there's weird math because they play each other whatever i think there have been total though forty eight games no quarterback has posted a performance as proficient as daniels did last night via pff's grading just incredible and and again when when you're there and you guys know this when you go on the games and you've got the if you're sitting in some of the seats um where you could see the whole field to see things materialized there were instance where you go oh that's open oh he could hit that and you have no idea what you know he was coached to look for to look at where his reads were taking him where the past rush is i mean there's a million things that it's much easier to uh to sit in the stands and be a pudgy zilch that is to play quarterback in the nfl and so that's refreshing to even to even hear that right it's not one of those yeah it's because Cincinnati stinks or yeah but look at the things they've left on the table it's no no no of what's expected of nfl quarterbacks it's the best we've seen this year while setting an nfl rookie record for single game completion percentage jade and daniels also became the first player in nfl history with 90 percent passes completed 250 passing yards two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in one game nobody had ever done all of those things in filling out the box score like daniels did was leading the nfl right now in completion percentage fourth and qb rating fourth and first downs per attempt seventh and qbr second and quarterback rushing yards he's now number one in scrambles for first downs uh it is an exceptional game last night and the numbers look very good and the performance is trending better and better through three games as we at all hope let gets to the phones though eight hundred six three six one oh six seven is the number on grant and danny will go to susan who's in great falls to join us on the fan hello susan how are you i'm good i was very happy that last night as well you should have been yes ma'am they got it i wonder as the phone said you all want to know who the game ball should go to yeah go ahead gary mccollum gary mccollum have a great game thank you for the call yeah four catches 130 yards and a touchdown for tarry mcclaurin we talked last week a lot about tarry and what was the conversation what's what is he right now how good is he at this point i thought last night was mcclaurin at his best and what he does best he is the contested catch get behind a guy what we call stack him like get him behind your back first catch was the perfect example of that you touched on it prototypical he's got a step to the inside and he bows his route in such a way where the defender has no choice but to accept that he is now trailing the play he can't run alongside you anymore he's now behind you and so daniel's throws the ball before mcclaurin has him beat but you can see with the with the angle uh where the defenders hips are in terms of being able to swivel and get back in time tarry's bursting straight and this guy's not gonna be able to catch him it was perfect yeah he beat him with basically it looked like taylor brit was playing outside leverage taylor jolt's inside and now he stacks him behind him so he basically is just boxing him out like he's gonna go up for a rebound like squared shoulder but at full speed and then he tracks the football so the idea is daniel's throws it out in front of them they have done this at training camp for weeks pre-season constantly that they posted a video they have you know every step of the way like six or seven of these along the way but just this past week and everyone was joning on the commander's account they're saying oh do it in a game stop telling us about practice well you do it enough in practice eventually it's going to happen in the game they had not hit on one of these yet the annuals had missed on a few throws the last few weeks either didn't see them or just didn't throw it accurately and even the first throw is only in completion in the first half i think to mcclorn yesterday yeah mcclorn was wide open for a touchdown it really was and daniel's they will to his credit was under pressure but he kind of let it go away early and earlier than he probably had to and so look like somewhat like whether it was daniel's thought that he was going to go deeper but mcclorn was breaking across the field correct and daniel's threw like it was going to be a corner route or something like that but it just like one of these things we talked about this earlier yeah it doesn't matter because everything else was so good and even on that drive he made another play and you didn't end up punting you know you don't have to look back at it and go oh we left points on the field you got the points anyway they're getting points but that's one of those throws in the league that you got to hit on because you just don't get those opportunities very often but the point is they finally got their home run to terry and he had a great game the touchdown catch was the next vintage moment where there's a lot of guys in the NFL that are explosive they're the types of number ones we talked about last week that we would rank ahead of mcclorn that do not make that catch that is a contested grown man the big boy defender draped on your back get your feet in there's no one in the league i would trust more in that spot honestly than mcclorn yeah so i was thrilled for terry mcclorn on a number of fronts one obviously for the team and for us and for all the fans because that was a huge moment that was great but for him because let's see he's a human being he's aware of all of the the talk he knows that the quote-unquote number one receiver had 39 yards coming into yesterday right he went six for 22 most recently that's not what number one receivers do it number one receivers do what jamar Chase did last night go six for a buck 20 and a couple of touchdowns they put up huge numbers there for second and third round fantasy picks and and everybody talks about you in the right way not do you what's going on with terry why did terry get the ball questions that every offensive coordinator for the last five years has had to answer so often it's annoying so i was thrilled for him to kind of get that monkey off his back as he had he had a fantastic terry mccorn game the two things that he does great that's hard to catch off the the things that you just mentioned correct 100% rubber stamp that the other is that sort of not that far from line of scrimmage but in traffic slant route or you know that as you said that contested catch we're so sure-handed and he's so good in some of the thickets some of those tight places that he has to go to they're not ever receivers good at and he had a couple of those last line as well eight hundred six three six one oh six seven you want to hop in on grant and daniel let's go to derrick who is in dc who's fired up on a big tuesday what's up derrick we're about to follow the show what's up for a little bit so hey man i wonder uh before i ask you a question um i want to get you guys a little bit about yesterday's segment we're going to get predictions um and both of you gotta say that uh you thought jade was going to his first instruction and his completion of percentage was not a deal i got a little irritated by that so i just want to say um that's completely said the percentage actually went up and he didn't throw a ball even close to be an intersection totally right and so i just want to say that but you answer your question man um that 2012 nce quenching uh game down there third x was the most exciting ever ever been out there game because that was my first time going to a racist cowboy game so yeah that was that was it for me man i love the show man you guys have a good day appreciate you buddy yeah you too enjoy it these are few and far between that's not like they don't occasionally win on monday night they did in 2022 with taylor heineke quarterback but this one's different i think you guys get that right yep like this is the number two overall pick who we're hoping has a chance to be the answer and the franchise quarterback and it's early enough in the season that we don't yet know what is this football team you know they didn't have the off season as we've talked about to basically be rebuilding we joked about how far away from finding north they looked after week one and you know calibration versus rebuild or recalibrating well they went out and signed a lot of veterans they they got a lot of stop gaps on one and two year deals of guys that were coming in here to basically elevate the floor and then they got waxed by the bucks but you beat the giants in a close game very easily could have been going to if the giants had a kicker didn't get hurt you get that win you take that big breath that sire relief you hit the road for a game no one thinks you win against the bangles you go beat them and now you're two in one you got a toss-up type game in arizona against the cardinals and then the schedule gets a little bit later on the other side maybe on and all the sudden the conversation changes it's just funny danny after a game like last night in this week to week league how different everything is yeah when you when you i think we're joking about this on the way over here to uh to thombs watch part the sports book at hollywood casino in loren sperg indiana we're going well now you look at every game of the schedule like they're probably winning that right like no one can stop them this is probably the best offense in the NFL and and i think we know maybe they drop one we don't expect so it's probably 13 wins that's what happens that that's okay that to have a little fun stick aside up right with uh kia and wasima with the the law firm we're here with at breakfast this morning uh condorian moron we're going through game by game like yeah that's probably win that's probably win and we we got to like 10 wins like all right we need to just go take a shower let's let's sleep on it yeah last night was fun it was a lot of fun but like right now danny there's no way they don't go to arizona and hang 40 again like that because they're not going to punt they're holder tressway only holds now he's coming on at 330 by the way so make sure you're listening in 15 minutes so then they got the browns to shawn watson's terrible so that's definitely a win so now they're what four and one i think yeah just of casual four and one then they play the ravens lamar's a poor man's jaden uh he has no chance to keep up with jaden daniels daniels is lamar if you could throw better and drop dimes so then they're five in one then they got the panthers that's a cake walk i mean that's one of the worst teams in the league so now they're six in one right then they play the bears calib Williams is a joke should have gone into seventh round can't believe he was taken over jaden daniels now they're eight in one then they play the giant again they've already beaten that i've shown you they can do that super easy so they're nine in one then they play the Steelers Justin Fields and the Steelers score one touch down a game washington doesn't punt they do it too it's defense is pretty good though anything on that or no uh i think they'll punt in that game that'll be their first punt since week one all right but they definitely win so that's ten in one so is it ten or nine i guess ten then they play the eagles i would have thought that had been a tough game but actually not anymore that's not even tough anymore oh so now it's 11 in one then they play the cowboys i can't wait to play Dallas they stink so that's 12 in one the titans in one levis he's going to turn the ball over at least twice he just turned it over when you said his name 13 in one you see what i'm saying yeah so you don't ever lose right so the opening loss turns into is it by that 16 straight i guess they won't need the last game so maybe the rest everybody they'll rest everyone against the cowboys january fifth 15 and two that's it yeah i think that's the way it goes but a game like like last night you just it's got that cologne it lasts for a little while let's go to anthony and calvert who's on line six on gnd what's up anthony what's going on guys everybody fire up the air compressor inflate all the balls to between 13 and a half and 12 and a half dsi for the time Brady rules and uh i got a lot to give out man um first of all Harris group got to give them a game ball man they went through the process they hired the right guy i got to give a game ball to the ownership group who hired ultimately you know the gm and the coaching staff so all of them obviously get game balls got to give game ball to uh chicago man they drafted mr b dad's look and uh you know glad we got what we got um really no gasters man i mean the only gaster i got is the rule that a kneel down takes yard rushing yard is off of the quarterback and a buddy of mine lost a floor figure winning because of the kneel down deep deep burn that's each other that's a bad beat nobody cares about my bets or anybody's bets uh injuries should not kill you like they do i'll just say that your boy lost a couple of parlays with echler a yard or two away from some things who played a half brilliantly and then got hurt but yeah it's like a fantasy football team nobody cares about any individual persons bets or team i suppose real quick on josh harris we will get to game balls at some point it's going to be game balls and game balls probably today did you see this was lost amid the beauty of the night mm-hmm turned down uh turned in on the field did you see the commander social media team i did josh harris went up to the booth i don't think he was on the telecast in any point i think i just brought him up to do shtick with joe buck but if you remember on monday night football in land over maryland last year right after he had bought the team josh harris was on the broadcast with joe buck and they had the most awkward handshake exchange in the preseason that you've ever seen in your life and it became a huge national meme talking point everyone laughed at it last year so last night harris went up to the booth what a funny just normal so great thing to do and he shook joe buck's hand yes josh and the commander's posted a picture if you want to go check it out it's outstanding and it's them shaking hands and josh harris like i says thumbs up toward the camera and they go second times the charm but whoever's idea that was give them a race yes yes instead of a little twerp tyrant our regular human being who has the same foibles and awkwardness that we all have right like uh the other night i was hanging with a group of guys was a lot of fun wonder didn't know that well we were like 12 feet apart i'd shaken everyone else's hand and i was like all right good to see him and take it easy and kind of did this halfway but he's sort of half step forward to either wave or shake my hand and we didn't shake hands and now i feel bad about it normal stuff happens to people it's weird that's fine it was humanizing i love this i love that kind of stuff josh wants to know who we think washington's gonna play in the opening round of the playoffs i think they get to buy right what one team gets the first round buy they'll play buy that's who they'll play the better question is so we know the route they take on the parade we were in the national's world series parade yeah we were in it if we're not in this parade because there's a good chance we won't be in the parade we're not partners inexplicably the team puts their games on like a music station that doesn't have a post-game show which is really really weird but hey i just work here little little rocks make the big rocks into little rocks right assuming we're not in the super bowl parade which we shouldn't be where do you want to stand have you thought about like do you do you stand do you do a folding chair like where do you want to be yeah i mean we'll be broadcasting from it obviously like so we need to like figure out do we want to be outside with the people right at the sports bar there's a lot of justice actually daris will you make notice i want to meet with ck on this when we get back for the hockey Stanley cup parade we were in a sports bar and we never got to see anything and it was fun and it was neat to be both very cool but i'd like to not do it that way i'd like to somehow be able to see the floats as they come by this time grant and any on the fan the holder for your washington commanders tressway former commander's punter joins us next on the fan the commanders are a wagon and all fans that cannot be stopped grant and danny welcoming you back on the fan bad news today is our buddy austin accler our weekly guest he's going to join us every single Tuesday all season long at five o'clock will not be with us today because he's in the concussion protocol was fantastic last night but unfortunately got dinged or hoping for a speedy recovery for him the good news is we will have a player presence on this show next man up in the national football league and joining us right now on the bed ql guess hotline bet smarter to beat the books download the bet to a lap is a bet you all dot com our buddy the holder the holder for your washington commanders tressway ladies and just wait joins us on grant and danny the commanders holder guys can you hear me okay because i i'm on speaker phone because uh my hands hurt a little too much to actually hold the phone up to my head it can be and my coming in okay we got you you're coming in loud and clear it was an exhausting night for you in fact one applause is not enough for tress if i could say that he had to hold a field goal attempt and he had to hold five extra points five ladies and gentlemen yeah tressway thank you tressway now remind me because i haven't seen you punt since week one do you remember how to punt right footed or left footed uh i'm thinking about switching it up you know there there's no film on maybe the last couple weeks and uh i like to keep the other team guessing so uh if we ever punt again i might just go righty i hope it works out will you be fined by dan quinn i saw you in the second quarter in the concourse last night in the club level your feet were up you're wearing your full uniform eating popcorn sitting on a couch texting someone are you even allowed to do that turn again no honestly of all of that i'm okay to do all of that but in hindsight the popcorn just might have been a bad mistake just the hands might have gotten a little slippery on the hold and so i probably should have cut it down without the popcorn goes maybe a nice uh salt and pretzel but uh but yeah other than that i'm just a quick text away and i'll be right down when do you think you'll punt again in a game i think i'll punt uh i think i'll punt at practice tomorrow um and then other than that it is uh that first time we call punt uh if if we actually do um you know i'll look down and is oh dq they'll give the punt sign and i may just have to respond with it are you sure you know like i i've seen those convert a lot of fourths a lot of third downs i mean like they could give it another go i've got their back either way but uh but yeah you know i i'll have to double check that we're really going out and letting one rip i'm looking at the one oh six seven the fan youtube page where we're streaming live today in high definition and pe just asked he said what if his leg muscles atrophy i mean we're starting to worry a little worried about should you why even practice punting if you're not going to do it i know i uh and i don't mean to brag but guys two weeks in a row i had got some really good pre-game warm-ups you know just uh those moments where you're like wow all right you know the ball is really flying here we go nothing to show for it uh but you know we're we're in Arizona for the week getting ready for the cardinals they brought in a full massage team they give the guys some massages you sign up a little blocks and um and i just i i'm surprisingly sore from just all the squats of getting up and down and uh the nice little uh nfl trot uh two and from the field goals and the p ats and so the body's recovered uh gonna do a little bit of a workout gonna pump some tomorrow and uh you understand i just i just have to be ready because even though i'm just holding right now i technically am the punter so we'll see uh maybe i could talk with some of the guys in the NFL offices if you can actually change you know your position name or even you know like a like a slash like punter slash holder bed right i might just a pioneer yeah well the the main reason honestly we wanted to get you on is to check in we didn't know if you were still on the team i mean i saw you on the side that come off and and congratulate Jeremy Reeves on a tackle that's right you have an awesome handshake uh you know it's very choreographed it's you guys have rehearsed it looked really good and they go oh there's trust and that's it that's last i saw you yeah i um i like to make my present uh presence known in other ways uh you know i i handed out uh handed out a couple of ice cold waters and day to rage yesterday uh gave a couple good handshakes uh a couple good paths on the butt here and there um a couple good screams you know uh i was as you guys probably remember a couple of years ago i was supposed to have a date with y'all uh on the air and uh my voice was gone so yes still let it rip a little bit vocally um but uh yeah other than that i'm still here uh still love being here and uh anytime anytime it's time to punt i promise i'll be ready so we'll just see when that happens okay this is a serious question we've been joking around a lot i do actually have a real question about last night and it actually comes from michael michael wants to know trust will you demand a trade to a team that punts no absolutely not you first okay this is this is the best i mean like of course i get out there the the biggest thing was no i'm i'm gonna sound a little selfish here but i've known you guys for a long time so i hope you could trust me we were we were playing so well last night and it was so much fun that there came a point where it looked like we were gonna have to punt in the fourth quarter and maybe pin them deep before jadon converts an unbelievable fourth down so without like the second and 20 after the the penalty sack is that what you're thinking yes that's yeah yeah and i was like yes i freaking get to go in on this game where we're just killing them but i i get it i was like i get a chance to pin that deep and just sprinkle into this wind and a little bit and all my gosh it uh of course it did not end up happening whatever i the best parts coming into the locker room after everybody's just pumped what an incredible game and and out of peters is just crazy he sees me and he just starts audibly laughing and he goes hey man i think i need some money back here jadon took your number and your gig he doesn't let you want anymore i think he did i know and i so help me gosh is that part of the negotiation by the way yeah and i never want to punt again you're like i want tickets to the lsu game and to never punt nope absolutely not i kept i kept my punt and gig but so help me god if the first time we punt in a few weeks turns out to be a quick kick that's really gonna rip my nips man i'm gonna have a tough time with that one uh commanders holder tresway with this here on grant and danny working on getting the slash like a model slash actor uh to his official business order once the last time you've seen any i mean this doesn't happen in the nfl dude like as i know we're in offensive era and i'm much older than you so i remember when like teams would win like 10 to 6 like i'm older than i remember some of those games but like i can't remember anything like this where it's just this it's whatever the defense throws it's like we actually have an answer for that that's better than what you've got yeah like what is going on right now that's uh that's the part that has been so fun to watch like obviously these dudes in my buddies and we are teammates but it's also like whenever you have the game going like last night like there's a fun balance between like you saw the offensive guys cheering on the defensive guys the defensive guys cheering on the offensive guys the holder cheering on the offense you know like things like that every everything has just been it's been seemingly so like attainable it's not like these and don't get me wrong jaden is making just freaking ridiculous place but like his pulleys and then echler and b-rob and then just freaking i mean i'll take 17 on my team and anything the rest of my life but like that's been the coolest part of watching our offense and cliff kingsbury has one of the coolest power walks ever whatever our office has been rolling these last couple weeks just constantly moving the ball he has like this little swag walk to him and i'm like oh this dude is just i mean back in the day when i used to play the NCAA football and i used to roast all of my roommates at college like and i would be calling some good plays i think i had that same walk but cliff has like a vibe about him and it has been it's been so cool it's been so cool these last two weeks and last night was just so fun man he's very handsome cliff kingsbury is just a paritone voice i meant sorry about my attention being paid to you and so is stress way the holder for the commanders is joining us here on grant and danny on the fan who should get the the ball uh the first ever touchdown for jayden daniels went to trent scott and all kinds of work put on this yeah danny and i disagree danny says jayden daniels is the only guy that matters nobody else matters jayden daniels i love him whatever else my point is he's gonna have a few more of those in his career trent scott gets one of those i'm giving that thing to trent scott i uh i'm a big sign felt guy and i think that they should take the newman approach of elaine and creamer and song song the bike in half and we should tell both of them hey guys we're gonna cut the ball in half and the first person to raise up and say no don't destroy the ball go ahead he can have it that's the true holder of the ball and this is coming from a holder of the ball myself but that should be the person who should hold the ball and i i think diki should do it in our next team meeting i think he should say guys we're gonna cut the ball in half and i be interested to see you know i've been really impressed with jayden humility i honestly could see him standing up and saying you know what let's let trent have this one so it's like a test it's like when he dragged the table and men in black whoever says the other guy gets it first actually gets it yes it's a true test of leadership right right you say you don't want to be a leader right so i so going straight sign fall here trussler i to me this is this is the chocolate bobcat right where the number like you've got it first and whoever has it maybe has it or you know the or the marble rye where jerry just takes it and runs with it where he gets his knee where he picks the knees up and says give me a mama run you old bag and runs away i it's interesting that you go you went full bicycle there i i don't know man i to me this is like thank you trent that's a novelty but this is the kid's first touchdown pass you know what i mean like there's nothing more special than that and if i may you know trent and i understand in all the excitement he spikes the ball he starts the dance jayden saw the o-line quickly get together to celebrate and jayden made a beeline to pick up the ball so maybe maybe that just shows all right yeah he he got his hands on it i think jayden should have it but i this may be a little you know i may be a little cavalier with this i think the dude's gonna have some more touchdowns in his career so i i'm interested to see how we handle that one commander's holder tresway our good pal with us today on gratin danny after an amazing win on monday night football what dreams are made of it's a whole notes tuesday here on gnd so last night we're leaving the stadium we came out here with our buddies who sponsor our show kind of oriented a travel and crew sit in the club level by seven or eight deep and you know they were talking about how they're like i cannot believe we haven't punted in in two games and i lead the league in like deadpan dad jokes that aren't funny but you have to really push through the wall so i'm like what what is it what are you saying and they're like what's the order you said i'm like no no the p-word what is that they're like punt and i'm like yeah what is that what if the next time you have to punt and like quin yells punt you in the middle of the game with like the play clock running down you do that bit on the sideline until then quin is like that's not funny or burns the timeout like you're like what i don't know what what word is that what are you saying what do you what's the word you're using yeah i um i i have often you understand there's a lot of emphasis on this next punt now and so yeah i kind of i'm kind of pulling forward to be you know like an inside the 20 punt where i can hopefully just hang one up and pin them like right on the one-yard line and so it'll be like yes that is why we punt every once in a while but oh man if we get one backed up i mean i'm just going full long drive competition where it's either going 80 yards or 20 yards and off the side of the foot because i just got to let it in well this this feels to me like a great setup for the next time washing it drops back to punt and then it's puma let's rage part oh puma too you know what i'm saying oh my gosh i would love that that would be yeah let's just continue to streak on there's no pun let's just let i'll let one air out and that's kind of what i'm saying it where it's like i like my one-on-one matchup uh we're we're actually not punting i'm throwing i'm going a little back shoulder here i'm a left-handed breath forward stick aside this is the first time in the Super Bowl era that the team has gone two straight games without a punt and a turnover it's incredible we're not that far away from like the next time they punt they have to send the ball to canton you know we're like they have to go get the ball and they're like this was trust ways first punt since week one but you won't get to keep it they got to send it to canton yeah i mean i was thinking back i had one of my buddies text me as i did i just can't believe you have a conduct since week one and i started to think back of just being at pampa in that last punt and i was like oh my god that might as well be last year i mean like that feels like it was even before the pre-season games but uh but yeah hey man i'm i'm all for the holds this has been a lot of fun so you you but you made the trip to Arizona you're not going to go hang out with brie and the kids you are going to just go to the game anyway yeah you understand i i still i i am still on the roster as the punter and i i just yeah you know i got it i got to be sharp and i got to be ready because i i know our fans don't like for us to give the ball to the other team but i really do enjoy punting the football and it's a lot of fun and whenever you're able to include the game and foot the field and do things like that it's just it's just we haven't had to do it so that that's just uh i have to prepare for all that as like you know just uh just in case i hope i just hope you don't have bonuses on like if i punt x amount of times i uh i i do not i do not add a ball that's good so you you'll still the kids can still have a good christmas uh this my last one trust i've i've obviously never been an NFL player and i don't know what any of it's like it seems really hard but um you fly from since nanny or i guess it's like kentucky because that's what the airport is it's all things very confusing to me last night you're already on the road again you're on to the next uh city but you're still coming down from that win what is the plane like when it's like time for everybody to probably catch some sleep but you probably can't because you're so jacked up because you want you just did on nanny tv what's that plane ride like yeah i think uh i think it actually worked out really well where we kind of did like an extended locker room hangout post game uh because if we were sneaking up on midnight and man we just had the music playing everybody talk and laugh in it was just such a great celebration but man not five minutes into that bus ride to the airport it got real silent everybody everybody was pretty toast especially what we got to the to the airport we knew we were kind of flying overnight to ag it uh it was very quickly all right we're coming down off this awesome ride let's catch some z's and then get ready for Arizona well tress we are proud of you those six holds last night absolutely you held the hell out of that football you you grab the ball and then you put it down laces out that's like spinny just that spin on the ground thing that you do like like marina on where it's every penny bro worth every penny guys thank you so much thank you for noticing thank you for caring and uh yeah thanks for asking i'm good i'm here uh love being a part of the crew and in whatever way that is but yeah i'm holding for now and i'll take it that's commander's holder tressway on grant and danny our pal doing things last night doing work lost amid the gem the six holds by tressway the double play is next you are listening alive to the fan our double play on g and d each and every day what's going on in our lives nothing to do with sports this is on the heels of a 38 33 win that we were at a couple of thoughts on the stadium i thought i could just give a little behind the scenes on our experience so really we got off the area yesterday hustled from lorenceburg where we're hosts uh where we're hosting the show from uh the pen play destination here the sports book at hollywood casino thumbs watch bar easy drive i mean there's really no traffic anywhere around here uh so even in rush hour with a couple of minutes of backup took us no time so we ended up getting dropped off by a shuttle from our hotel with basically at the stadium walked up great vibes everybody outside very nice all kind of eating and drinking and being married on the street but i got myself a slice of pizza that was my pre-game meal danny ruey walked the concourse a bit i was all about the just sitting in my seat and watching the warmups now we talked about this last week yep and i already knew you were going to be the guy that was going to go investigate the stadium i honestly have no idea what did you end up eating so i i paced around a little bit just did a couple of laps got to lay the land so a couple things that were treating to me kind of how your exits are yeah i made 100 i do that uh made some mental notes uh to myself and thought okay i think i narrowed it down to a few different options and uh i went to this it was the least lined if that's even the right terminology i'm not even sure what i'm trying to say the lines were short uh at this place and it was what i'd learned earlier this weekend people have been telling me about this i had no idea by the way before i came to to the queen city but this is the home of the second largest octoberfest in the world amazing yeah Munich Germany Cincinnati, Ohio this weekend it was one block from great american bow park on sunday when i was there to watch games so to be clear you know in munich it's the number one but number two is Cincinnati that is natural progression that's what you always think of when you think of you know the germans do you think deeter was in town yes i'm always here anytime you need me i'm just available one phone call away you text i show up that's what happens i'm here for october fest septemberfest vangolus games that's a jungle i've been to the jungle i've also been to the stadium anyway um so i had this kind of like german thing on my mind right and there was like a german food station uh one of the the vendors there and the names were just outstanding for all the different it was like a a stroopwaffen hyperfluben you know type deal i have no idea what anything was so what i ended up eating was a piece of like uh like a big hunk of baloney right that they they grill between two waffles with a little cheese and i got to tell you it was delightful and outstanding dinner a little bit of sweet little bit of salty with the your fiber baloney it plays kind of kind of a hot dog if i'm being honest i couldn't i could barely finish the whole thing i will tell you that now i know i don't eat the way i used to but still it was a heavy situation in the most surprising thing you'll hear all day my priority was how quickly can i get something as fast and as close to me as possible to get me back to my seat so we were sitting in section i don't know was it 243 243 245 whatever it was if you walk directly out into our little club level concourse there was just pizza and soda and popcorn and stuff and the place next to it was skyline chili yes it was but we did not do skyline chili we did not there was no line i got a slice of pizza in a box i got a souvenir cola and i went right back to my seat a little bit later at half time i decided i wanted something i went right back to the same stand and i got popcorn in the cola went right back to my seat the only time we went anywhere else i mean kia went and got a cocktail we went and i gave a little bourbon figured i would uh i thought i would need it sure it was more of a celebratory bourbon then uh you know a pick me up bourbon these shoes the other drop bourbon exact little buffalo trace on the rocks for the boys and as it turned out it was a celebratory buffalo trace but everything was within 20 yards of me so really didn't experience or walk around the city of metan which i normally like to do this was a business trip for me yep i was here to watch jadon dangels throw dimes and watch uh the commanders stunned the bangles so i'd have to choose some bubblegum yeah i i no one knew what to do this was so baffle they just scored three is the prime time game they're scoring touchdowns oh actually let me say this is fantastic when halftime started before you even get there so the final gun sounds on the first half and like the players are running off the field and danny stands up me and darister just looking at each other all three of us are just kind of taking turns like looking at each other not saying anything and danny goes like this um okay i don't know what's happening and then he goes i'm gonna go this way and he just walked like he just walked away i just paced i just kept saying i don't know what to do i don't know what to do he was just gone he's like we're all just like i don't know man and he's like i don't know what's happening and then you just point toward the cut you're like i'm gonna go that way go that way and so i again i i don't i don't know if i'm i'm eating feelings i don't know what the feelings are i don't know if i'm happy i don't know what i don't know i just didn't understand what's happening i'm in the days that feeling is joy danny it was great and uh so i'd passed a couple times as i'd done some laps because this is what the reconnaissance work is all about i'd passed a dessert stand and they had some fanciful pies there and i had myself an apple pie with caramel corn on top now you heard the word caramel correct there's an a in there we should respect the a not in the way that old uh dumb brian mccan used to make people respect the a in atlantic because he was a clown shoe i'm talking about the a in the word caramel they say caramel roundhouse in indiana and kind of this mild midwest that we're in so i caught a little chapter for that but either way i also caught a piece of apple pie with the caramel on top by the time i got back to you guys it was already gone because i housed it then i was i still wasn't sure what i was supposed to be doing so i went in line for popcorn and they were confused by by the idea that someone want popcorn and that took a long time so i saw us the necklace return on television on the closed circuit uh but anyway good to the end i wanted a kony dog now i'd made such a big stand against skylight and chili because it's nubs and stupid it can't be a hypocrite that i couldn't be a hypocrite so i ended up not getting that but he got a win but i got a w stuff you got almost 40 points almost that w like james wins a 40 burger uh two quick tweets i want to read you from dylan until he says i'm in san diego wearing a daniel's jersey around people are coming up to me saying this like wow what a game he's the real deal i'm so happy for you guys you deserve it people telling him that in san diego says night and day isn't the correct comparison i could cry uh says another elderly man at the grocery store said wow he looked good last night glad it was in prime time wouldn't have seen it otherwise is this how it feels to be good i don't know this feeling uh yeah soak it up this is a get two day four commander's fans not a half two day we deal with a lot of the crap for the very rare afternoon like this one on a victory Tuesday a holenotes Tuesday on gnd this coming hour let's do a deep dive into jadon daniel's gem just a complete masterpiece from the rookie and cliff king's very offensively you're listening to the fan with a rookie quarterback leading the way the local football operation has a bright future it's time for you to plan your future as well the exclusive sponsor of our show the law firm condorian moron can help you update your last will and testament or set up a trust for you and your family schedule a free consultation with our state planning attorneys today visit km lawyers dot com tell them we sent you you'll get a discount km lawyers dot com i'm looking at all the updated lines for week four here at thoms watch bar the pen play odds at the hollywood sports book casino where we're broadcasting live in the tri-state area out by Cincinnati in uh lorzburg the commanders have gone from four and a half point dogs in arizona to three and a half points since last night game kicked off you surprise the one point line movement is all we got after they hung almost forty in a win you'd think it would have gone further not necessarily because that's how it's going to go but because that the country saw it right everybody stopped and watched this team put up thirty eight points and had they haven't punted a month based good numbers approximate right so you'd go i'd expect a slightly bigger swing there because the whole world is probably thinking oh my god look how great washington is right and you would say maybe that would influence a lot more i think it's a lock that game kicks off closer to even money i think it'll be a three point game i don't see it getting more than two and a half but maybe it ends up being you know commanders plus three something like that uh the beltway blitz every day on gnd the teams in town you care the most about right here on the fan we're gonna go football heavy today so let's get after it right now spin us around the nfl we got our guy nate davis usa today with us nate why don't we get a local take from you first on jaden daniels and the commanders a starborn it feels like last night the coming out party for daniels he was fun in week one ran it a lot he was excellent in the second half of week two and then last night was a generational kind of incredible performance what do you think generational i mean it was it was you want some numbers i get back that up we haven't seen anything like it statistically i mean he has a 91 percent i mean that that's a that's a great record uh and i mean he's he's off to you know a very nice start um i think he's kind of been exactly what they've needed he's he's he's completely outplayed his uh his peers in this uh this quarterback class in the first home we've ever seen six guys come up the board in 12 picks so i don't think you could you could ask for for a much better start um you know i i would warn people that you know this feels a little like 12 years ago uh so so let's not put too much of a burden on him right away uh but you know i i think this kid is is living up to the bonafide and plus the fact that you know i'm like 12 years ago i i think he's a great athlete but i also think he comes out as a polished passer um and that's something that he's going to be able to fall back on um it may be when the leg's loose and some juice down the line so um but yeah i've talked to you guys about it before i mean i think this franchise is in a really good place uh and i think he's he's the number one reason for that um in terms of this he may be around and turning around after that that dark quarter century nate what about their opponent since that he i mean they've gotten off the slow starts in in years past but everyone kind of thought i think i certainly that was everyone but i certainly thought okay this looks like their get right week and you know they'll be towards the top of that division they're now 0 and 3 and fans are pissed off we i know because we were there in the stadium last night and people were pretty dejected and disgusted where are they right now yeah i i mean like he said i mean i i think during go burrows tenure that they've been a collective one and nine in weeks one and two uh but you know oh what's three's a different deal i think i think six teams with with only three starts since 1970 merger made the playoffs so that they've got a big bill to climb but yeah i think there are some issues there too i mean since nanny is i mean the NFL is uh you know everybody shares in the pie some degree but since nanny's a smaller market team too um you know they they pageo burrow they haven't page more chase it's obviously there there are bad feelings there um i think i think the uh the the joe mixon i'm jettisoning it's him it's certainly having an effect that we saw the trend brown injury last night um i i i think this thing has potential to to go off the the rails a little bit um you know we heard the trash talk you know i i think i think that's exactly i was trying to get a whole of that thing um i i think there's still time given that the the ravens uh in the browns are not in great shape yet either and we'll kind of see what the Steelers are once they start facing some some better competition but um there's no doubt that they're there there's trouble there they'd have up the NFC east maybe based on your pre-season expectations has anything changed have you seen anything that's all that different than what you assumed coming in or is it still too early after three weeks uh i mean i don't i don't want to pound my chest ramp but i mean at this point it's kind of what i expected i thought that i thought the eagles would be the number one team there um i thought the cowboys would would not be as good um i thought they would be a diminished product i thought the commanders had a chance to challenge the cowboys to be to be the second place team and i thought the giants would bring up the rear um i i will say that the the giants are starting to look a little bit better than i thought nothing Malik neighbors is really showing that you know he might he might be your front runner for rookie of the year um he might be one jade daniel is one a at this point uh however you want to slot that but uh he can show him that he can he can do some things and maybe carry an offense and that defense is also maybe a little bit better than expected so um maybe the division overalls will bear my thought but but mostly all these teams are kind of doing um what what i thought went on when i was sizing him up you know in the off season how for reals minnesota yeah they're they may be the biggest surprise in the league i had them third um today in my week four power rankings um i mean two blow out wins and and they're being uh you know what we all know is a very good 49ers team uh the question is is can sand darlin kind of sustain this i mean i mean you're you're seven for him um you know reminder he's stuck under the joe burrow but it looks like he's finally found the coach of calvin mcconnell the can harness his ability um good players up there a defense that they can uh apply for us here relentlessly um that that can be a double as short of time but i'm not sure yet i'm ready to sustain it for for a full year given darlin's propensity to to get close the ball sometimes but i mean they they don't mind money probably rv or at least he's not surprised how about the other really surprising three and oh team in the conference the seahawks little bit of a lighter schedule for them en route to three and oh but still uh mike mcconnell the first year head coach coming over from baltimore it's done a nice job yeah i mean you can't ask for more than three and oh um i mean the winds are our bronchos you know over time in new england and then and then the two of the dolphins so i you know i i feel like we're gonna get a better litmus test on them when they play at detroit um but i think next monday night uh so i'll i'll have a better feeling with them at that point i mean i i kind of feel like it's they didn't really have the parts to run mike mcconnell's uh uh defense the way he really wants to um i know they want to be a roaring team they show they can't be to some degree but i feel like they're really built to pass the ball i just need to see them play play against sparks and competition before i'm ready to really believe the seahawks nate thank you as always but have a great week thank you guys thanks day see you my friend hit that local 53 sounder our guy pff stick awkward joins us to break down what we saw last night nick we were there and i still kind of can't believe it what the hell happened how was this offense this good yeah that was the that was a near flawless performance from an offense um yeah it was tough to believe something that we're we're definitely not accustomed to um but i mean i kind of touched on in the past that you know there were shots that were open for this offense that that they just hadn't hit on yet um that it was coming and yeah it definitely did in a big way so much of last night was daniels being excellent obviously but they were ahead of script you know on script and ahead of schedule i should say no penalties no turnovers like nothing negative nothing less than ideal hard to replicate that clearly but what can you take out of that is sustainable about last evening do you think yeah i think it's the run game and i think it's what what cliff has kind of started to to develop with the team and you know he gets a lot of crap to the screens you know i i'm one of them i i the screens are it's not a fun watch but you know it is an extension of your run game and it sets you up in positive situation and it puts you in spot that you can be successful and so i think that run game that that sort of short yardage stuff that they keep doing is something that you know that can prove to success and and i think you know we saw a flip of the script of what happened the giant you know every time they got down on the red zone something awful happened with bally this time like you said it they probably can't replicate this flawless of a performance but um it is kind of really good to see that run game really really start to work so i i have long beaten the drum here for austin echler i think they need to give him the ball more their first drive they gave it to him a bunch he saw the touchdown run later on uh and then the opening kickoff the second half again he's such a weapon he obviously went out of the game concussed and make the trip with them to darazona just yet if he's it has to miss some time that to me is a bigger loss i think they may be people are realizing go into his role and and what you've seen from the usage of him yeah i think he's just an explosive back i i mean i think you know thoughts that he was you know sort of washed up and a little bit old was was kind of wrong i mean i i think he was dealing with a lot of injuries last year um which kind of led to some of his struggles but you can see it every time we're such a ball i mean two weeks at a row now he's almost taking a kick return to the house one he did but get called back for penalty and um he's just an explosive explosive guy in and it's just a weapon that you know we've talked forever about the lack of weapons on his offense but he's one right there that you can get um you can get the ball pretty easily to him so i i kind of agree i think it could be a pretty big loss a lot of conversation over the last week really two weeks about terry mcclorn this show and many others about kind of where he's at in the big picture four for a buck and one touchdown last night at the 55 yard catch and then at the game ceiling unbelievable touchdown from daniels when jayden and he called game last night would you make a terry mcclorn's performance yeah i think this was similar to what we've seen in terms of him getting open um and the first two weeks you know i touched on it a bit earlier that you know he was getting open downfield we saw it in the bucks game you know the miss uh the miss shot downfield that jay missed and there were multiple opportunities in the giant games well to get in the ball you know it's same with luke macaffrey those two seem to consistently be getting open um and i think you just saw a flawless performance from jayden daniels in the offense and it all finally clicked um and i think it's just you know they're just going to keep going for for terry all right neck we've talked a lot about the offense jayden daniels and we should here's a little bit of a thunderstorm gathering around the parade if if the bangles make a very makeable field goal and they don't not convert on two extra points that went for two twice didn't get it then they have 38 points just like washington did this defense it's still this defense isn't it yeah it's still pretty rough um i i think one sign of encouragement is i do think that they really try to switch things up they they kind of saw the first two weeks that things weren't working they played a lot of single high cover three stuff these first two weeks and it was not working at all they they switched it they played a lot of cover two a lot of cover two men and that really really worked and every time they switched to single high man coverage burrow kind of ate them up so i think you see the script going forward for this sort of team is that you're gonna need to just keep things underneath you you can't really trust these guys to play man coverage on the outside um they tried to switch the andra still he played out why the entire name for the first time all year um and he actually played pretty well outside of that one the the touchdown early on he was he was pretty solid um agronogany kind of struggled in the slot they just basically switched their roles so um i i think you just kind of see that you don't have the guys to play man coverage the way you want you don't have the guys play the single high that you want so i think you really just kind of have to stick with this cover two stuff keep them underneath and just don't give up the big place nick thanks buddy we appreciate you yep thanks guys so check out nick ackerage pff for grantin danny here on the fan washington has now scored on every drive in the last two games excluding kneel downs the first team to do that in consecutive weeks since two thousand twenty four years ago they are operating on autopilot jayden daniels a big reason why let's get into him last night let's take out a shovel and really dig deep on jayden daniels we can open up the phones again eight hundred six three six one oh six seven on the mgm national harbor listener lines eight hundred six three six one oh six seven what impressed you most about jayden daniels in the coming out party through for himself on monday night football ten guys on the field third down and seven this one is launched from a chlorine he's got it's touchdown touchdown tarry maklorin yeah cover zero and you know just give tarry chance to go make a play hey he said if you trust me yeah and that's what we did i trust do one of the great developments from the commander's stunning monday night performance against the bangles last night was jayden daniels learning that trusting maklorin's the right decision first couple of weeks if he didn't see him wide open he wasn't throwing it to him and he really wasn't taking those chances but this will lead last night to more of those where if he's even he's leaving if you got him even with a db take the shot if he is got a step on someone it's going to be contested but it's let's say a a fifty five forty five ball let's see what happens rip it in there that's nfl open and hopefully last night's success but gets more of those chances because the downfield ability of daniels is one of the reasons he was drafted number two overall and it was just not really a part of this offense in the first couple of weeks and boy did that change last night you're gonna see teams defend you to to say we know what you have liked to do you know what we know what your proclivities are through a couple of weeks it was not throw the button on the field the one shot they took they didn't hit which it's hard to hit those shots by the way so they said yeah we know it's the sideways passing it's the it's the horizontal raid it's a lot of running stuff well we're gonna dare you to sit there in the pocket it's why frick that thought since nanny would win the game yesterday i thought that's hard to do when you haven't done it at this level just yet apparently it's very easy to do what do i know i just code ninety plus percent completions and torch people i'm on the new football but you pass that test now everything else is open to you right there's no camp in this offense there's no camp now for for daniels he said every kind of throw you can imagine what was the most impressive element of jadon daniel's incredible outing last night that's the question we're gonna open up the mgm national harbor listener lines right now we want to hear from you guys head 800 636 10067 statistically a once in a decade kind of outing you just don't see it now that doesn't mean a whole lot like the last time a quarterback completed 90 percent of passes scored two touchdowns through the air and one on the ground it was marcus mariota early in his career and i'm sure the next day in tennessee on the radio they were talking about how unbelievable the performance was and how they had found their guy for a long long time so one game a couple of weeks a month we know this from 2012 it doesn't necessarily give you the entire answer key where i'm so excited about daniels though is i don't think there are many players in the league right now at that position and frankly even if you extrapolate the combo out over like a decade i don't think there are more than a handful of quarterbacks that could have played that game last night now that doesn't mean that jayden daniels is routinely gonna play that game either last night was a product of him at the peak of his powers he was nearly perfect he was feeling it he was locked in it was also the perfect night from kingsbury the perfect night for this offense right it was a night where there's no penalties it was a night where you're never behind the chains it was a night where nothing negative basically ever happened that is almost unheard of let alone being on the road no loud environment so for all those reasons and him being special collectively they were off the charts good but that said danny he still showed it to you he still showed i can not only be the fastest guy on the field and deliver the back breaking scramble and move the chains and scream at the coaches to stay on the field on third and fourth and short but i could drop that fifty five-yard throw into the bucket i can make that throw with the lowest percent chance of being completely a next-gen stats to mcclorn to end the game in the corner of the end zone while i'm being destroyed by an oncoming free rusher there was a ten percent chance to be completed that has the lowest percent chance of being completed of any throw in football i can do all those things and also run the four three nine four year whatever it is to me it was the poise and i know listen you play in the scc you play in front of a hundred and ten thousand rabbit fans both for you and against you i'll give a night but there's something different about doing at the highest level we got and you've seen those guys before that say the right things that post on instagram the right things about where they're working out and you know at the podium say the thing about leadership or whatever but it's another when you see that frantic fourth downplay when the guy looks overwhelmed he can't get the signal in he's panicked somebody's not lined up right so there's more panic this is a calm coolness cucumber guy that's older than his years right the experience is still only three professional games obviously but that's not what it looks like if you just dropped if you you know if someone's in a coma for ten years you dropped them into the last night's game so watch this what's the deal with this guy you'd go yeah it looks like he's been around for a while it's unflappable those third downs those fourth downs when the place was going insane despite all the negatives that had happened those bengal fans were going nuts you could be guys couldn't hear uh their own thoughts coming out of their own head and still it was just calm as could be it was just easy no problem i know it's fourth and two let me drop back pat the ball scan the field flick a dime to uh to to loop the calfry for a big for uh first down conversion there the the throat you mentioned to uh to to mccorn for the touchdown where he knows what's about to happen before i even finish falling through this dude is going to put that weapon aka helmet into my upper chest and to my chin it might knock me for uh horizontal doesn't matter step in make the throw and it was perfect the poise under immense pressure that's the thing that gives me confidence yeah he had a couple of those moments that peters and quin talked about when they drafted him they referenced as like he's the kind of guy that'll rip the defense is hard out and what they meant when they said that was you know on third and nine he'll deliver that backbreaking 16 yard scramble or whatever right like that's what they were alluding to and that didn't necessarily happen very often or at all last night but how many times i'm thinking about this sequence on the bengals uh radio broadcast that i heard today where on a couple of those second half drives danny they would go you know like like a song ramping up you know first down and ten they get it three second down and seven they get three more third down and four and the stadium has gone from uh to uh to uh and now it's so loud and everyone's going crazy and it's pedilum and it's raucous again and you get this one stop and now finally get the ball back and you get a chance and they pick it up and then again first down uh second down and seven uh uh uh and you get it again and so many of those all night long where he just takes your will little by little we saw it with the people sitting around us yeah the dude right behind us at one point he's like the red skins are doing this though right here what them do this pays a rookie quarterback right it's he just kept saying like a rookie for the red skins and finally he's just like i'm tired of it let's go joe let's go and hand the guy behind us finally left but there's only so many of those you get before you just feel like it's not our night and it culminated with the throw to mcclorn for the touchdown on the third down but i think poise is a good answer because there were a couple of those where he stood in the pocket forever by the way i thought past protection last night was mostly phenomenal like on those downs he had all day to stand there and scan and scan and scan and wait for urch is not exactly fast to come free so i thought that was big too the thing that impressed me most i'll answer the question on jayden daniels though last night was i thought his decision making was impeccable through two games he did some good things he did some exciting things he made a couple of nice plays through the air he did a lot of good things with his feet and there was this rush i felt like to just crown him as like awesome he played pretty well he had done some fine things i was impressed was like oh this guy look last night it didn't have to be that good but kind of is what i was wanting to see i don't mean 21 of 23 in this perfection and the performance he had but he did not just leave pockets to run he reset to throw he did it on the noa brown 16 yard catch to get down to the one yard line he eluded the rush he reset in space he stood there and waited and he found a guy there's a play if you go back and look on might have been a third and three i don't think it was a fourth down i think it was a third down where he broke the pocket and ran to the sideline and darissa are like run run run run run and he stops and throws to terry mcclaurin he gets four he gets blown up he moves the chains first down you watch back after the fact and there's a guy coming that's either going to kill him at the sideline and lay him out he may get the first down if he makes a miss but it's bang bang by stopping and throwing the mcclaurin who took a shot i'd rather him take the shot by the way it was an easy first down the amount of correct decision to run or pass stand in the pocket and wait process find the right guy it just seemed like he had the answer key given to him before he took the test last night it was like it was a take-home test and he got to use his book and it was uh it was just a joy to watch it was so fun to see last night a special player who was completely locked in and looked like he was completely comfortable he was back on the field in Baton Rouge last night you know taken on florida or something it was that kind of night just you know everything from the improvisational the backyard stuff to you know the stuff that was there looks in the offense right and again some part of this is that since he had his defense isn't very good but i don't care about that today you know it's like when when somebody throws an excellent uh complete game to hit or the like well yeah what's the marlins it's still hard to do man you know like a lot of bad a lot of you know offenses that are less uh you know probably more heralded than washington's won't do what washington's did last night to that bangles defense you know what i mean like teams have been stopped by that and you can also still take things out of it like right Daniels was amazing by the way i'm watching in the um sports book here so they've had highlights and they actually replayed the whole commander's game a few minutes ago it just ended but now that dan or last night by the way they won the game still yeah good did they score almost 40 they did okay what you'll notice is they scored every time they had the ball oh boy yeah trussway still hasn't punted no punted wow a holder trussway to you the holder so dan or lavsky went over a bunch of of plays with uh Daniels i saw and now he's going over Caleb Williams i bring this up to tell you like it is a dependent position to an extent there were a lot of open guys last night like all night long i would say right i mean they were wide open most there weren't really contested catches he has not thrown a pick did he put a ball in harm's way at any point last night i don't remember a single ball that was contested now we're talking about dropping a couple down the field in the buckets where terry's got a guy behind him but it's they really didn't throw to the middle of the field much at all hasn't been a big part of the offense didn't have to it's kind of like lsu honestly where the big stuff was out wide outside the the numbers but i'm just trying to think top of my head like i don't remember a single pass he put in harm's way that there was never really anything with a defender in the area so there there are a couple that come to mind gp but not exactly like you're talking about so for example the low catch that no brown made which was a terrific play if he throws that up higher or you know leads no brown there's a defender lurking there he couldn't put it behind him so it was a small window throw but he thought it was either going to be incomplete or my guy makes a really nice play on it uh the incompletion towards terry mccorn in the corner of the end zone again not exactly what you're talking about but that's a this is not going to be intercepted it's either miraculous catch by terry mccorn wow or at a bounce right and so you're seeing there's a demeanor to it i i know part of the reason there's no interceptions is we're not throwing that many high-risk passes by design but just to finish the point real quick i guess what i'm getting at is cliff king's berry was excellent and i brought up the the bears or lavsky because Caleb william's situation right now is dreadful and i'm not sitting here trying to make an excuse for him he hasn't played as well jadon daniel's running circles around him literally and figuratively but shane waldron comparative to cliff king's berry the coordinator for the bears has been a disaster they don't have receivers open they have better receivers they don't have past protection they're not ahead of the chains they are committing penalties and it's night and day when you look at the situations you know what i mean if you dropped say jadon daniel's into the chicago situation maybe he makes more plays because he can run around but the passing wouldn't be there like last night was jadon daniel's in on top of his game in a historical performance we're going to remember for years but i do think that a decent quarterback still puts up really good numbers they don't throw that last touchdown to terry they might miss on the first fifty five yarder they get sacked a couple times like all the earth stuff in the middle of the field the the luke macafery throws the noa brown throws those are easy wide open throws and i just think in addition to the fact that daniels was staggeringly good like shockingly oh my god i have to reassess everything now good cliff king's berry last night and the entire offense were nearly perfect i think it's a good point yeah i mean in in some people take it as a slight or or diminishing of what daniels did yeah i mean i hope people don't grown-ups are talking so right they're gonna have to just you know worry about that in other time i guess there was yeah the point the point to me was there this was a one of those you know because then what what is this really it's a live chess match yeah it's really smart people figuring tendencies out and where they can exploit weaknesses defensive guys get paid an awful lot uh luenaromo's been doing this for a while he's he's he's been the pat my home script tonight in the post-season right the only people to really beat them are uh tom Brady when the rules were stupid with uh overtime and since nanny with with this so figuring out there was an answer every time i mean you look no further than the austin eckler rushing touchdown where 75 percent of the bangles are looking at it's completely different direction the one guys that are looking in the right spot are flat-footed and eckler's already off to the races for a touchdown that's that's a scheme thing now eckler's got the first and ability to go get your teddy right there but that's a that's a uh an office coordinator win right there in that kind of play so danny's going with poise as his answer i'm gonna say i thought jadon daniel's decision-making last night was absolutely marvelous a masterpiece i don't know how you replicate it i don't think you can do better it's not linear and that shouldn't be the expectation that he's just going to and and that's going to be normal but that was a breathtaking performance last night just unbelievable what impressed you most about daniels eight hundred six three six one oh six seven you want to hop in on grant and danny i've got to be there for an encouragement yeah he's always been impressive to talk to his eckler he's been impressive tonight to the end zone for the touchdown commanders he was a touchdown machine with the chargers and dan quinn's commanders take their first lead of the night the grant and danny road trip for the 2024 season continues how about the game we picked at the road for not bad insince and adi for the gody last night that's your game of the year that is a keeper hard to top that one i think good luck to everybody who will be heading to road games the rest of this season including this coming week in arizona with the cardinals by the way the boys flew out early which i would have to tip my cap to ownership on that's one of those things where you're spending a lot of extra money yep you're getting the hotel for a few more days you're renting out a facility to use which i believe they're practicing over at one of the colleges in arizona uh-huh you're going to show out some cash but if the sleep doctors and the the you know the uh team psychologist and all the people say this is your best bullet here don't go back right now have a couple days and then fly let's just get out there rest up for a couple days and start practicing a little wednesday well chris said no problem where do i sign the check yeah i i like that sort of thing now whether it's the right decision or not i have no idea it's so above my pay grade there's been theories on on everything like i remember once you certainly won't decide if it was the right decision or not at 7 o'clock on sunday will you well no i'm joking i know i know you i know you're fit i appreciate that like whatever they chose wrong probably just do it a minute i'm having a little fun you were just you were just fun it's who's done it who's done who's made this is the show i'm not moving on who's done it this is the whole thing uh what was my train of thought what was i saying i don't remember yeah i mean something about being in phoenix oh yeah is it the right thing is it the wrong thing i am old enough to remember one what you're supposed to do if you're gonna deal with altitude was you move there like seven months in advance and your body or your body chemistry your blood thins and you you get used the altitude then it's like no no you get in there seven minutes before you actually play football to denver and then you leave as soon as possible so it doesn't have an effect on you nobody knows what the right answer is but here's what i like ownership goes yes right is it is it about footballs about being good at football is this what we think the best practice is then yes let's fix the stupid field at uh the the dumb practice facility that's been unusable for decades let's take the you know do the smart travel thing you just do it you just do the thing because the whole point of this supposed to be about the football team speaking of altitude we're flying home tonight i love that we will be at about 30 000 feet couple hours from right now we are taken off from the airport over in kentucky so we'll make our way out of indiana in just a bit where we had a great lunch today shout out to thommie and the uh watch bar we're at with him here at the hollywood casino did my delicious buffalo wings yep had him yesterday they were great i'm not going to navigate away you know me i did add potato skins today it was very healthy lunch for your boy and then thomm surprised us in addition to all of our meals you got us a little Detroit style pizza just for a side of pizza because thomm knows his guys he knows that one of the staples of this program uh dare i say with grand danny is the concept of a side of pizza and i'm a big believer and i'm shoehorned this i think in a lot of people's lives anything can be a side if you will it right so you have a main and something you know that's a main dish why what if you have a portion of it on the side of your main thing and that a side of pizza was born your sandwich looks good today it was a strong sandwich it's i needed something a little bit a little bit lighter so i went with a turkey club of course that's got bacon on it and tomato and then you ate some pizza well that was then i had a side of uh of potatoes skins also because they're terrific and then i had a side of pizza so i kept it lighter right today i wanted a lighter lunch and i got it barbecue sandwich for daira something we did some good things today and the thomm assist on the pizza food is all down i did want to shout out the bangles though really quickly we were at the game last night we had so much fun sitting in the two hundreds beautiful seats our guys kendorian moron hooking us with the whole trip by the way they've been like i tried to at breakfast today just pick up breakfast i'm like hey guys let me let me get breakfast wouldn't let me do it right legit they just what lovely gentle just swatted it away just just my tumbo and his product shout out to our guys and they'll take good care of you check them out km lawyers.com but i'm going to use the parlance of the day if i may i'm going to sound like a hip 20-year-old or just a number trying to be a 20-year-old oh here we go buckle up there were a couple things played by the dj at the stadium last night that i thought slapped okay the first of them a little uncomfortable here was the touchdown song that they play every time the bangles score i didn't know it saw me i had to tell me what it was but i sent it to ryan so every time the bangles scored last night which was a lot by the way now luckily washington scored more because they never punt but this is what they play and it just everyone marks out it's such good vibes in that stadium uh what song is this bang i've always called a bangle me drum ball that i don't know if that's the official title yeah but they play this and everyone just rocks out to it perfect stadium anthem don't you think yeah like i don't know what the ramifications are for anthem song but i love any of the old school like whether it's rock or or homemade sportsy songs like gocups go in a stadium but like burrow jamart chase and the second they cross the goal line they don't care if there's gonna be a review they don't care if anyone scored or not instantly they just strike this up like that dude's pointer finger is hovering above the button and if somebody snips that goal line fire tot rungan it was amazing you know but the the jam of it all so they play that for like a minute and write when everyone's just jamming then they fire off their version of hail to the red skins which similarly is like from decades ago that ends with the huday chant for the bangles so uh clary give me that for people to hear i'm such a sucker for these like old tiny sports ditties it's called the bangles growl the bangles growl slaps like now imagine like marching band live performance everybody's size because t-egan's just got one to the crib and then it ends with the huday thing oh this part so is this like an another there we go huday am i over rating it or is it pretty awesome so it's good it's now it now as a risk of offending those from from the uh from the queen city oh no see the huday i don't know what that is exactly who who thinks they're going to be the bangles no i'm going by the way the answer is the commander's handling oh thank you uh and old three teams they played these shan i thank you the answer is everybody you play yeah somebody said that last night actually the guy was hammered behind us good huday and like and like who's going to beat him everybody all the teams they will if you give it five days and adult in a revenge game against the panthers red raffle revenge uh but give me hudat sorry sorry about it uh the saints down there in all of us now because i don't think anyone here says huday as like a normal way of speaking but down in all of those people say hudat hudat down won't beat them saint like that's what they that's and the song reflects how they speak hudat is going to eat this breakfast yeah i don't think it's like hi how are you like i'm very well huday like they don't sound like that you know what i mean like they're they're they're they're they're they're all very nice but i think that gives me the hudat edge you follow me i think hudat greater than symbol huday i'm going to give uh i want to bring in our resident i might be speaking out of school i need to bring in our resident of hion thommie who's hanging out with us at thom's watch bar it's officially a Kentucky he's a Kentucky thank you oh that's a good point that's a good point tri-state man yeah it's a it's a tri-state area so does anyone say reminding people that huday in the like in any other context i would say that what danny just said is exactly how it is i mean so so like game day we're at the window you know 15 people in line i got i got a uh an hourly employee that you know thanks for coming in huday oh no way just exactly how danny described so like at mose where they say welcome to mose yeah right your employee goes hey what can i do for you in huday yeah yeah we do that around here oh that's so good you see what i'm saying so again it's it's all everyone's so courteous they're so friendly and so nice but it's like perfect english right and then it's huday yeah you have yourself a wonderful day and huday but am i wrong or does that song hit oh the song i loves the song yeah i love the songs i don't need to do the huday and the crogger i don't i don't need to do huday at church you know but they do it does the priest like on sunday like as everyone's winding out he's like and mass has ended huday yeah mass has ended going spirit huday blessed in his team who walks in the name of the lord huday oh god congregation going huday huday or hudat what's it going to be bangles saints we'll find out i guess next time they meet although i don't i don't like sincey daddy's chances after last night no sir all right we do got to get to jadon daniel's let's do it next eight hundred six three six one oh six seven we're going to hit the lines are the question for you guys what impressed you most about the young quarterback you're listening to the fan uh no but like we were going to go yeah so sometimes we just look for the yard marker to go but he definitely wanted to uh for sure so i was certainly not going to give him that win he's got a lot of others but uh you know that was a shot that we said hey on the other side when you have good this group is too so like if we got a shot and we can go take it let's go take it and so that's where the decision came for on that one at the end to try to go basically that's you're trying to go win the game right there and it takes you know some space to go there because jadon and terry have really put in a lot of work together although we may have not seen that come to fruition you know in the first two weeks for those of us you know who've been back in ashburn we've seen that and so i think when you put the work in you have confidence that all right if the moment comes we're going to go take our shot. Dan quinn on a hall of notes triumphant Tuesday we're granting danny you're listening to the fan so i found that funny post game he got somebody asking like they want one more jadon daniels is awesome anecdote the crowbar into that column like so he made you stay on the field right Dan he looked over at you and said i'm not coming off the field right coach he definitely is the reason why he went for the fourth down right he's the best quarterback to ever play yeah and dan quinn's like well located right night but i'll take a little bit of credit i was going to go for the fourth down anyway but to that point i love the demeanor by daniels i call it lamar like because he's the guy i've seen the most in these prime time games over the years who's adam and we've seen it if we sit at once i'd say 50 times where he and john harvall either on the sideline and a timeout go back and forth or he just does the daniels yesterday where he looks over there's zoomin in you see him through the face mask high definition five k cameras and he's like come on let's go let's go let's go and that's what daniels wanted to do but Dan quinn had already made up his mind we even saw it on the telecast a couple of times we're on second down he'd be talking to cliff kingsbury they went for three fourth downs and they got all three in the game a really really strong game in that regard for quinn fourth and two on the first drive at the 34 if you decide to kick a 52 yard field goal they're in miss and it's now seven nothing Cincinnati they're getting the ball back after you miss the field goal what a different momentum scenario that is absolutely right later in the game fourth and one at the 33 a much easier decision i would say you know right uh in that it's one yard to go but that could have been a 51 yard field goal daniels second half plows forward with his shoulders down lower in the shoulders for a first down he's got more first down scrambles in any quarterback in the NFL this season and then on fourth and four at the 39 they decided to go for it with 430 to play i thought that was a no-brainer it's no man's land there's almost no reason to punt there you definitely aren't kicking a 57 yard field goal with a kicker you barely know and they don't put anyway so at that point i thought that was the easiest one and earth's ended up make some right nine yard completion but really there was only one time maybe where they could have kicked the field goal but the fact that they were three for three it was no hesitation he went for all three i thought that was very very good trust from quinn uh that's the word is trust right because i've seen they were up eight at that point right where he opted not to kick the field goal on the fourth and fourth from the since he 39 you touched on it that's a 56 yarder a lot of coaches would go that's a pretty conventional play i go up two scores even if i don't get it i'm still up a touchdown and a two-point conversion with the football so i'm you know meaning if the other team goes down and scores then i still get the ball back with a chance to go win it that's i could see him being the defense first um you know a little bit more conservative approach there but he's like no no no this is who we are we're going to go win the game there right to go up two scores to go up two touchdowns and that's ultimately what happened obviously is they converted just calm clears day to to arts for the for the nine yards and you know a couple of plays later on a third and seven all i blitz touched down to mccorn think of beauty great and danny from the since sennady area we're in lorence berg today broadcasting live on the fan art road trip continues we'll be back in the saddle in our half street studios tomorrow on gnd we're flying back tonight but the commanders look like they've got a bright future in you should think about your future as well the exclusive sponsor of our shows the law firm kind of or in murah they're the ones that brought us out here on this awesome trip they want to take care of you and your family schedule a consultation with our state planning attorneys visit km lawyers dot com be sure to tell them gnd sent you that's km lawyers dot com what impressed you most about jadon daniels and his incredible outing he has been the talk of the country today every sports show we're watching on all the big screens here in this book it's nothing but daniel's highlights kyron questions about him washington's offense a star was born last night let's go to the phones we'll start with vince and acachee gone grant and danny what's up vince how are you what's up guys hey buddy um glad y'all got a chance to go out there and enjoy the trip you know no y'all have as much trauma with this thing is me best of you grand not so much you danny because you got to see some superheroes uh but uh for me the most impressive things from jadon yesterday um kind of like what danny talked about yet it decision-making decision-making was good and very impressive but um the poise and that's so much the poise it was uh the full quarter one on the on the last drive when we went to win the game um i'm watching the game and i and they and they're screaming like lock in on his ass and i said oh my god like he wasn't smiling no more it wasn't like it wasn't like the kid who was just in the backyard planned no more it was almost like the game he finally felt like the game actually started and the look at his ass was like this is what i this is what i work for this is what i'm built for like i'm humbled but this is the confidence that they send you like i don't plan on losing this tonight that was the thing that was a president me thanks vince appreciate your buddy so i'm not really a body language guy in in that sense or like how someone looks or whether what is their demeanor i'll say this though last night when it was so crazy at the start of the game on the first drive he had to scramble to the would have been the near sideline on the telecast it was away from us where we were sitting and he goes and he picks up a handful yards and i remember like right after the play he kind of dapped up the defender and they kind of tapped helmets and you could tell like just where even from across the field if they were kind of chuckling and having a moment and i remember thinking to myself this guy is just so at at peace you know what i mean like he's so that's a relaxing it's just a dude on a playground like all i could think about i'm recording him before the game is he's warming up and there's 68 000 people making noise and the whole country is going to be watching i'm like i wonder if he's tight right now i wonder what it's feeling like how nervous he is and five minutes later he's down seven and then ten minutes later he's on the field and i'm seeing this and i'm going man i mean this guy really it's just it's just bald of him right that was comforting in a way sitting there going i bet she's okay i bet she's not that nervous so i just it opposite you i am a body language guy like now you can be wrong you could say the guy that guy looks terrified he looks nervous and then he goes out and makes a shot or throws the pass or whatever but i'm i'm interested in that sort of thing right and it it he looked as if this whole like this is just a seven on seven it's just a throw around exactly i'm in the spring i'm hanging out with the way that the Bengals played it was a seven on seven oh thank you am i right oh thank you but like you it and that that's doing that in a fake way which a lot of times you'll see a young hot shot quarterback kind of come up and and try to do that thing it's like they're read a book on how to do it so they're trying to implement it and it's not natural and eventually guys see through that when it's genuine when you have that real charisma like the you know how famous show montana was we're saying oh look it's john candy and they go 92 yards and win the super ball like that's sort of real ease and comfort it legitimately matters and and helps people you know perform their best j and dc on grant and danny what was impressive to you about daniel's last night we'll tell you guys we're at two things before danny most importantly did you actually really honestly feed trip tresway in the conference i wish i had i did not yeah leave the port and i love you guys but i hated the last two weeks with the tarry and it came very tough for a listener like you guys are like a super drag so only two weeks with a q with a qb worker with a qb i agree it's not just two weeks j is not just two weeks i mean tarry has not it is it is only it is only two weeks because you know you have no idea and one shop said that you have no idea what he's talking talking to with jayne dale then what you need and what and like and how he wants to progress and he could he could prove you completely wrong next week but in just but just to get just to my point because i know you got one disagree with me um also also for danny like don't go don't call a tarry flow and say you see him catch the ball like badger but he didn't fall down but anyway catch a fall second catch a fall guy anyway jayne jayne has had impressed me with progression from game one to not literally not going to anyone going through his progression like five seconds to literally laying that ball out for for a tarry at the end of the game yesterday like his progression is what should get hands the most excited but like every game constantly getting better i know we're gonna have some bad games but i know for a fact every little game you're gonna have a low spark that says he's getting a little bit better and that's that's what i love about him yeah so and you look at it's a staircase right now right thanks jay for the call so game one was your you know was whatever it was it was the run-around fest right it was the the party where he ran 20 times game two second half specifically was better than game one and then game three was this masterpiece last night that was incredible and so it has been foundation better the next week better the next week and as i always say it's not going to be linear but yeah totally that the fact that he keeps getting better um why i was encouraged coming out of the giant second half better than the first half second half best half he played first half against the um bangles last night was the best half he played then the second half was probably the best half he's played so he's basically stacked now like each half has been better than the one before it frankly and that's awesome i mean that that's you just go that way usually there's some there's a there's a down in the stock market then it goes back up a little bit then you end up in a better place this is just a rocket ship basically concrete style specific to mcclorn and uh in kingsbury to answer that point you know i i would be surprised if fans didn't get bothered sometimes when we have conversations about the players that they love i understand that whose jerseys that they wear um that's perfectly okay you are allowed to disagree and you're allowed to not like things you hear um but it is not you know why don't really have conversations based on tiny samples so this was not about one week where he didn't catch passes or two weeks where he had small numbers you you look up the explosive numbers that the yards after catch stuff uh over now a four three-year trend it's going in the other direction the point i made last week was where i still trust him implicitly over some of the x's and some of the elite receivers in the league is on the stuff they asked him to do last night the contested catches got a guy draped over your back making an unbelievable catch you know even on those plays it's not like he's running free he beat can't tell her brit with a move and tell her brit kind of caught him and he stacked him up behind his back and then tracked the football because mcclorn's elite at that the other catch was just hall of fame all-time like impressive football play with a guy right behind him and he needed a perfect throw and he made it um but but the point i think i we were making or i'll speak for myself last week was watch more league neighbors you don't have that here uh there are just guys around the league that do it differently doesn't mean anybody is down on 29 year old terry mcclorn it's just it's a different kind of thing and um they've got to scheme him smoke and looks occasionally the vertical shots in the regard that they were last night i think will be there it's just a lot harder to hit them it took the perfect pass 60 yards downfield and the perfect play by mcclorn to set up first and goal inside the five he made the play because he's awesome and jaden made the throw because he had an all-time night and maybe he's gonna be special the touchdown throw had a 10 chance of being caught via next gen stats 10 out of a hundred times though they'll make it work um but Kingsbury's just been great from really moment one is a play caller where i'm coming around on him a little bit is the design seeing it in person now the last two weeks the spacing he uses logan talked about this with us a little bit uh yesterday it is less motion than i like it's less under center than i like it's let's play action all those things but he still gets some of the stuff you need figured out with how he lines guys up and this is something logan paulson's been harping on for a few weeks and like yesterday the amount of times where they would either go empty but then have a guy in the back field danny and you got the receivers and tight ends and everything spread around where they're still getting the match-ups they like like you and i are like oh look they got this weird alignment they had a uh gun formation with like a power eye next to jaden robin's team is in front echoes almost like hiding behind them really cool just different concepts so i give them a lot of credit for that i still think offensive should be under center and you should use play action and you should use motion i just think that's how the league works and that's how most of the good offenses are but you got a uh king's very unbelievable credit so far so let me make my quick tera mccorn point my my analogy i always like to use with this is is ryan carrigan everybody properly categorized and was correct about what ryan carrigan was just a really good player nothing wrong with ryan carrigan saying that ryan carrigan is not von miller in his prime doesn't mean he's not good and my point was i think a lot of people were had been going with terry he's the von miller equivalent he's as good as a j brown or some of these other superstars in this league when reality's probably closer to a ryan carrigan a pro-bo caliber player who's really good there's nothing wrong with being really good my point was always maybe we've overestimated kind of working back from a why are we at 39 yards through two games why is our production sort of steadily going downhill i understand we've had bad quarterback bad offensive coordinator etc still in a lot of those situations in other cities you you get disasters where de manta adam's goes for 1100 yards and eight touchdowns you get disasters where named that wide receiver is doing special things still we weren't seeing that trying to work back from a result so again i understand if you bristle because you like the guy we like him too i would also point out that you know part of the discussion with him on this show will always be the quarterback he's played with 100% that you're big and he's called passes with makoy alex smith case keenham don't the late dwayne haskins kyle allen taylor heineke carret gilbert karson wentz jacobie bersett i mean it is a disgusting list you know it is a like a pimple bean popped that like accidentally some of the liquid gets on your nose disgusting it's an episode of dr pumple pumper right it is a really nasty like some show that tom watches on tlc where like the doctors have to tell people they're about to die or something and then they get married and then for some reason they have their first kiss awkwardly right before the the death oh god like it's a it is a very gross list to be clear yeah but it just doesn't change the fact that like you don't have there are guys that are just going to get open and then there are guys that you have to figure out a way to get them open which list is each receiver on i think that was kind of the conversation uh we were having last week eight hundred six three six one oh six seven is the number one to get back to jaden daniels who was exceptional also let's give out some atta boys we don't get to do this very often but one of our favorite segments after big wins who do you want to give your atta boy to we'll do that next on gnd he's a really cool customer and he's got uh like real poise about him i thought going in we knew the importance of the ball and uh you know the decision making for that we just couldn't give them short fields and chances to go so his ability to know when to when not to when to make a play with his legs i thought um we've seen a lot of this at practice and now it's carrying over into the games where the decision making sliding going taking your shot but i thought it was a really strong performance tonight by him. Dan quinn on the jaden daniels gem last night in prime time the commanders beat the bangles with very few expecting them to final score 38 33 washington scores on every one of its drives they have now gone two consecutive games without punting and in fact have scored on double digit drives in a row you got to go back two football games since they last started a drive that didn't result in points other than when they were kneeling down if you look at their drives last night ten plays 70 yards touchdown seven plays 62 yards touchdown six plays 75 yards touchdown end of the half then only drive of the third quarter nine plays 28 yards touchdown twelve plays 46 yards field goal twelve plays 80 yards touchdown and that is a ball game get back to the phones in a second eight hundred six three six one oh six seven that's eight hundred six three six one oh six seven dani i'll tell you this assignment was provided i'm sure and assigned before yesterday not a whole lot of respect just yet for the commanders they're going to the cardinals as you know yes kick off in the four o'clock window on sunday the broadcast crew on that game for fox the d-team mmm it's a chris meyers situation never the way we draw it up you've got meyers mark slareth run the ball stop the run physicality and gen hale on the sidelines so chris meyers mark slareth on the call you get a big head shake from daris it'll be one of those sundays oh it's fine how many names will be said in a way you don't recognize them that's the big question eight hundred six three six one oh six seven let's get to the phones and start with will and staphrod on line five what's up will hey guys thanks thank you mccall hey buddy got it i want to say i want to say i'll give a quick out of boy to nick all grady for basically saving the game oh yeah fumble uh i think that was a great play but i'll say on jane daniels um just his body control the uh one juke move on um on shock a hayward the uh the slide that everyone liked i mean it was perfect form slide well the slide was choice well it was so nice yeah he he's got this body control if you remember archie three ran real upright stiff kind of like uh steven davis on those epic you know he was just real stiff and uh jaden just smooth man he's he's like tree turner slide and cross home plate he's just he's got a just a juice and a smoothness to him and i'm glad you brought up the slide i'd forgotten about it we didn't talk about that we're we're smacking each other and thanks will as always buddy we'll expect each other since good dude dude dude dude it was the first down was achieved there's three guys closing in i slide and it's harmless it was perfect have you seen any of the telecast yet no other than highlights yeah so last night when we got back to the hotel couple of us got together in the room and rewatched the game they showed the funniest stat i've ever seen on the broadcast after that the stat showed 34 runs one slide but it's just a hilarious thing to post they put that on the espn screen it said 34 rushing attempts one slide it was this first of the year but it was so natural it was beautiful it looked like what you would tell a baseball player to do as they're coming into third base for a triple man now it's not even breaking up a double place slide you're not kicking up any feet or going after someone's calf just a natural nice little pop slide add a boy to austin echler i feel for you brother yeah we should have been talking to him 20 minutes ago on this show every tuesday at five o'clock all season uh we're gonna have to push that interview this week till later in the week because he's still in the concussion protocol the numbers don't look that big but remember they all came in one half of football three carries 35 yards and a touchdown all of those really early two catches 22 yards so it was five touches for 57 yards and a monstrous kickoff return as well add a boy he's just given them such a jolt he is so damned good uh add a boy luke McCaffrey we read stats last week about um now luke McCaffrey's actually getting open probably wasn't necessarily part of the plan or what Daniels was supposed to be looking for or who knows what was coached well wasn't but you got rewarded a little bit this week including a couple big plays uh to move the chains so look McCaffrey add a boy add a boy jamaar chase who dropped a third down throw in the red zone in fact inside the ten goal to go from burrow and they'd kick field goal if you remember he was like sliding just past the marker it was a low throw it would have been a nice catch but he makes it 90 percent of the time and i thought that was a big break uh add a boy evan mcfierson speaking of breaks he'd made 20 some straight kicks i believe from that distance it was 48 yard field goal they call him money mcfierson here he is like automatic uh everybody loves him his jerseys are being worn in the crowd there like people he came out he got a like a mark wrestler or some face running out and and yelling about uh the the local football team they love him and then he missed the field goal that i thought was a chippy uh for him that was a pretty good break and then add a boy this was a good call but terry made a move with the line of scrimmage and got grabbed up around the face mask a hands to the face negated what would have been a third nate like a huge behind the the chain spot on the first drive of the second half penalty was called at that point it was like a five to zero penalty discrepancy against the bangles versus washington add a boy referees letting the guys play there really weren't a lot of flags all night long and certainly not against the commanders but i thought that was another good fortune moment where instead of a third nate they got an automatic first down and scored a couple of plays later a couple i throw in one to the entire team as you mentioned for for not committing very many penalties at all and last week they committed more than they did the whole game just in their offensive red zone drives yeah to sabotage themselves that was very clean as far as those things go let me ask you this danny please of the turnovers so far by washington's offense this year if you had to pick the one that was like the most demoralizing that did the most damage to them but you just think was the least excusable which one would you say god it's hard to think of any you know what i mean like is that has there been one that's been devastating or demoralizing or contributed to anything at all no i don't think there's been one well let me just i'll jog your memory i'm going to list all of the turnovers this season yeah through 12 quarters of football go ahead yeah three games by the commander's offense okay go so don't forget the one that was the didn't say anything so i'm gonna i'm enlisting all the turnovers yeah this is every time they've thrown a pick i'm waiting i'm lost a fumble right i think everyone gets it we know what a turnover is what are the turnovers sorry here they are yeah are you gonna that was it that was the list oh oh so is it up you know there aren't any they've had some good fortune with getting their own fumbles yeah that is that that does not continue but they've also just by and large protected the football too and that's what winners do i want winners we throw one more quick out of what if i can sure mikey sandwich still who played outside the whole game pretty much i know you're gonna say oh you're gonna be a bunch of more chase you know let's get three from charmer chase the entire nfl pretty much on that route single covered with a whole bunch of space on that side he was tough he was physical uh he broke up a uh one of those short little passes by that's a strain knocking the snot out of somebody to get out of the way and then blew up the the would be receiver he had six tackles yesterday a couple passes defended good game for mikey sandwich still yeah i thought there was some really good moments in some you know young guy moments but the blowing up of the screen was something i saw at training camp but five times in a few practices that i was out there he is so good downhill he's so physical and just willing to stick his nose in there so i thought that was a big deal to just see him translate that over to the game um i thought the first touchdown i know he was trailing that's a single high safety where the heck is percy butler going he's the deep safety on that play i did not really understand what he was doing in fact jay grooden texted me right after that touchdown like i hadn't been texting him out of the blue and he's just like what the hell is the free safety throw in there tell him to get his butt over or go sink you can't go single high against this team you'll get killed like what if you'd walk down to the side then just tap someone on the shoulder on that show i'll let him know jay grant paulson from the club level how they mostly ended up with two deep safetys they went to a uh one safety look later in the game you know it happened i touched down to more chase another deep touch down to join chase weird huh maybe jay was on to something there so joe saw that and was like you know i'm going with this ball how about a hundred yards combined between those two throws titch mark jay let's go to darrick who's in dc on grant and danny what's up darrick how are you love you guys thanks buddy appreciate you happy tuesday um i'm uh um all in on the offensive lines i think they're um a major reason why they were so good last night um they're doing the job there were question mark coming into the season and now they're great and they look good because you know jay was in the pocket just hanging and throwing darts and you look confident and happy and comfortable that's not what's happening with the rest of these rookies so any number of times they you know picked up sorry go ahead bud i said god bless him because he gives credit and that's another thing he's such a good leader he's like this wasn't me and you know it's the team thing and so um those beautiful man and um penalties wise coaching we got back to two penalties and only one of them was offense offensive line yeah and they both came at the end of the game thanks for the call appreciate it they did not have a single penalty at the midway point of the fourth quarter on the road and one of the loudest stadiums i've ever been in so i don't even know where to start to try to say how impressive that is uh but the o-line is not getting enough credit there's no doubt in my mind i've not looked up or dove into like the pff numbers on pressures and what not but the number of blitz pickups times were especially in the last couple drives where Cincinnati was sending that fifth guy like the dog or six with a blitz and where they're sending someone downhill at Daniels heat-seeking missile style you know here they come and they don't penetrate like Daniels is still flat-footed with space huge they were awesome all night and i've over talked about the third and fourth downtime but like think about all those urch throws in those backbreaker moments where they move the chains Daniels was almost never on the run not harassed there yeah you know he just he had time granted Danny with you on the fan taking you up to 615 ahead of Nat's baseball top of the hour we've got our don't forget about items next let's talk about some unsung moments gonna score some points tonight Daniels let's it go for the first down and plenty more McCaffrey is short of the touchdown but the rookie got 30 yards on fourth and two a 40 yard catch and run by Luke McCaffrey came into last night's game ranking third in the NFL in separation percentage at the wide receiver position and he was open a bunch last night couple of big catches and that catch and run on fourth and two set the tone for a opening drive for Washington that tied the game Deacon is on Twitter i'm at Grand H Paulson Danny's at funny Danny he says you guys are pros but you are leaving out the main reason for the big win for the commanders last night he said Danny was in the house sounds like Deacon thinks you need to be at more games Danny so Deacon is respectfully incorrect last time i went to one they lost by 200 so there's no trend here but that was years ago sure we have a great moment that was awesome during the josh era era you are one and oh with the commanders when you're in the house i said what we have correlation we do not have causation let's test this thing hmm let's get you on a bird out to Phoenix we'll take the show on the road to Arizona oh no we should do it the way Washington did it too let's call us go straight there let's change some flights i don't want to have to arrest uh you know adjust my my time and have to deal with different beds i'm not going to go home to the Lorton area yeah i'm just gonna get on a plane here i'll go out to Phoenix so my sleep doctor wants me to do i don't really have that many clothes but bleep it let's go well Cleveland at home in two weeks can i interest you in a trip to northwest stadium oh where's that is that is that northwest of the state of the city i'm not really sure how that works no uh no uh never again but thank you for the invitation that's really nice but you had fun i had a great time waiting really enjoyable you want those all sometimes to continue wouldn't you yes i certainly would i know you had an awesome time prank the whole city knows hey yeah an awesome time try to ask bitch or if he had an awesome time terrace what movie he's not no he doesn't but i will tell you what movie that would be old school that's right we're looking for old what have accepted old school there now we are at Tommy's watch bar when Tommy worked the program Tommy had seen some movies he knew some of the references we would make occasionally i needed a contribute right huh he would even occasionally throw in a barber - all right we will get to don't forget about next segment we'll also get the weather lined up for the nationals game people are making their way down to nets park tonight six fifteen pre-game six forty five first pitch for charlie and dave how about trick scott celebration after the big man touchdown the first time since jojakobe in 1984 that an offensive lineman has caught a touchdown pass for washington he said it's a uh dance from his fraternity yeah but it was funny as all the other linemen i guess knew that or didn't but they started doing it with them they're just like oh this is fun let's all do it together yeah and i like the guys that weren't quite as good or didn't have as much practice doing it i don't know if they were emulating in real time or you know like trying to do because they'd seen him do it i don't know but it was comical and fun you get yourself the fact i touchdown it's all good i know we're still in a bit of a honeymoon face i'm in a glow i have a glow we woke up the morning after the wedding we're just looking each other in the eyes from profile heads on pillows we're feeling good yeah about what we're seeing danny arizona cardinals cardinals this coming sunday and phoenix washington gonna run this thing to three straight games what is your early tuesday feel right now after what we saw last night they absolutely have a shot to win that football game and before this weekend i wouldn't have said that on two fronts one i thought arizona was pretty good they really struggled against Detroit i mean really struggled now i don't think washington's defense can make anybody struggle uh i don't think they can make a lot of college team struggle right now that's me being kind of semi-physicians but it's gonna be points will be scored in that game and we know washington can do that now they they could drive the football down in arizona and make some plays cliff kingsbury revenge game loading for washington as they go to arizona let's call on sunday if jayden daniels plays the way he did last night they will be in every single game and they will win the vast majority of them they would have beaten the chiefs last night if he plays that game it's hard to lose it was that good of a performance it's time for the nationals starting lineups on grant and danny right now as we get you ready for nats baseball presented by the window man since 1989 the window man has been the educational window company get your free no pressure in home estimates at the window man dot com worth their dot com what an amazing hollenotes Tuesday this has been the very rare danny never before seen victory tuesday after a prime time at masterpiece i don't think we've done many of these together my friend the old monday night football into a hollenotes Tuesday because the game mattered so much because this was more than just a week three win this was the coming out party this was the celebration uh that it might finally be different around here and that's really what it felt like to me uh that was so much fun so exciting what an unbelievable game to have been at man that was really cool yeah one of the great games i've attended for sure in now 25 years of going to nfl games you can count on one hand kind of the memorable gems that i've been at last night was certainly one of them it is time right now for don't forget about on grant and danny let's not forget what performance is what under the radar and the latest commander's game why do i always forget that don't forget it's time for don't forget about it don't forget about it with grant and then danny one thing i think people shouldn't forget about nick allegretti who was signed this off-season by adam peters to come over and start at left guard where i think he's been extremely solid he was a backup for the chiefs got pressed into duty in the playoffs started and played every snap despite breaking his armory in the super bowl if you remember but he has been very serviceable probably even better than average at times at guard but last night while washington was moving the football on the first play of a critical drive after the bangles had pulled the within a possession washington was going to extend the lead and on the first play of the drives accurate fumbled in the middle of the field if you rewatch the recovery allegretti comes flying in like he's running a four to eight he slides head first like a you know second baseman with speed going into the bag for his fifty-third steal of the season he looks like uh c_j_ ables before the issues like it was still on the national there you go i can say that uh... going head first he in one motion super athletically that that's the wall such an athletic policy grabs the ball tuxen curls and he recovers the fumble if he doesn't that's a bangles take away it's the first turnover of the season since nanny with all the momentum has the ball in plus territory and i would venture to say washington ultimately loses the game do not forget about allegretti saving that is a game saving play no hyperbole there uh... don't forget about lupa kafrey who we saw in week number two was open a lot we have metrics that that sort of uh... the quantified what we were seeing right didn't get the ball very much if at all but he was getting open so he has a couple enormous catches in this game okay including a fourth down that wasn't some sort of play action some kind of you know misdirection this that the other was a straight drop back he works open into kind of that middle layer makes a huge catch hands catch goes down first down on a drive continuing massive massive play late in that ball game that's awesome for the work uh... he is making an impact it's not a huge statline if i told you what three four forty four doesn't blow your skirt up but i'm telling you a couple huge catches in that game don't forget about no a brown that's my next one while similarly quiet three catches twenty nine yards a big sixteen yard reception for no a brown don't forget about the fact that brown made an outstanding catch with his hands down near the grass going down to the ground and he made that reception the reply on what was a low throw could have easily been incomplete he saves the day makes the catch moves the chains he would also have a sixteen yard catch and then later in the game down around the goal line to set up a first and goal from inside the one where he won inside but that's not a guy that should have been available when he was you know the Texans are loaded at wide receiver so credit washington being second in the waiver wire i still think they shouldn't have had the ability to get him because the panthers frankly should have claimed him but to have him hit the wire to have them pounce like they did already in my mind their number two wide receiver behind terry mcclorn it wasn't just free and easy like he was wide open catching balls at his chest for the most part last week he made a diving catch at one point with his catch radius but yesterday that catch was super athletic and a big time reception don't forget that yeah it's not like he's a slot receiver who's five eight it's not andi isabella making that kind of catch that's a big dude has to go down low that was a great play by him uh don't forget about johnnie newton i have i didn't love the pick at the time i think they had glaring needs elsewhere and players that could have fit that that didn't matter anymore he's here he was impactful last night he played had four tackles a couple stuffs that line of scrimmage looked the part of that defensive tackle moved a pile aside i think there was one point he was double-teamed and still able to make a tackle for very minimal gain he was pretty decent last night so that was a good sign don't forget about the fact that we saw a big man touchdown thank you when is the last time the commanders have had a thick six you know a fat guy school oh i know yeah i got the answer for you by the way it has been since joe jacoby caught a touchdown in 1984 the last time washington had an offensive lineman catch a touchdown by the way in games when they have an offensive lineman catch a touchdown they're five and out so maybe that's what they should do in the first drive of every game when they get near the goal line because that's how it works right i think it's smart yeah if the offensive lineman scores you obviously can't lose so maybe just target that tackle on the eligible but on that play and we talked about it and digramed it earlier in the day we Trent scott was the only receiving option available to jadon daniels it was him or bust if they covered him then daniels would have to burn it into the ground or scramble and get out of bounds or throw it away there was nobody else running a route on the play what an amazing call by kingsbury supposedly it was a two point conversion play they dialed up in case they needed it in a big spot there's your right down in distance for it and he said you know what we need a touchdown this is gonna work scott new i got to catch the football or else i'm gonna look really bad on national tv i'm all for the big fella touchdown and then a great dance as well it was fantastic uh don't forget about german mcnichols wants us to network leaves the game uh and obviously we wish him so well uh though people recovers in in a hurry and uh he gets back on the field he is so instrumental so good for them every every every play every time he has the football in his hands something awesome is happening but german mcnichols you know statlander to speak of on the on the huge touchdown to terra mcclorn late in the game to close that bad boy out don't you dare forget about i'm asking don't forget about his blitz pickup or he knocks a linebacker into next tuesday it was a smashing block outstanding play that's why he probably made the roster is pass pro and those sorts of things maybe not great run on the football between the tackles that's not what it's about making plays in the passing game and that includes being a willing and able blocker huge moment for him yeah don't forget about you mention austin echler by the way don't forget about the opening kickoff of the second half for austin echler where he rips off a return across midfield and gets washington set up on the precipice of field goal range to start their first drive of the second half so think about how demoralizing that is for Cincinnati now look washington came out on fire we didn't have some answers they're up by aid it's okay they're going to get the ball here's what we're going to do we'll adjust it half time yeah we we got our adjustments we know what they're doing now we're going to come out we're going to get a stop they're going to go three and out they got a punt we're going to go down and tie the football game or get within one and instead on the opening kickoff they're now in field goal range and if they don't turn the ball over which they haven't done all year they're going to go up 11 at least they would go on to score another touchdown and to make it a two possession game with that return for echler who was cooking at that point he actually got hurt on his next touch which is just a few plays later a three yard run to get inside the 10 set up goal to go he was rolling right along yep and hopefully we'll get to talk to him later in the week when he's feeling better it was a shame not to chat with him today but as you said hopefully he's healthy and on the men today but that return was significant and by the way i was just getting back to my seat so i'm getting back to my seat and i'm thinking all right they kicked off with me first in 10 from the 30 and washington's at the other 30 and i said it darissa said how the hell did they get down there it's like dude echler almost broke one echler had the kick return for a touchdown to open the season that got pulled back so he's already in three games had two monster returns into the other territory he can do this i mean this is a nice find there at kick returning i love it uh speaking don't forget about austin sibert nothing sexy here made his one field goal uh from 42 yards but five or five or an extra points in a game where you're going to need points because that's pretty much every game because of jim fron's chronic strength still but you need to be sound need to be clear need to handle all the little things the the the you know um major dallas cowboy style 64 65 yard kicks that's a nice bonus maybe one day we'll get something like that we don't have that now don't screw us if you don't screw us over we'll have a chance with an offense that can move the football get up and down win the time of possession battle and score points five or five on extra points made his only field goal from the mid 40s that is important the hidden stuff a phenomenal win a nearly perfect offensive performance for washington as they beat the vengals 38 33 to cap for us what was an absolutely tremendous trip and we should think one more time our buddies condorion merad uh the law firm that sponsors this show that made this entire trip possible but beyond that it wasn't just that they wanted us to come on the road i mean along the way some of the things they set up they knew you liked pickleball so we went and played you know three hours of pickleball when we got in on sunday night you know they they know we're baseball ball park marks they set up a ball park tour a great american ball park so cool which was so fun and we had such a good time so many laughs so many great stories that we'll be telling for a long time and and little inside bits with pictures being set in the group chat already but like this is the fun stuff i would just some i never think about but as you're listening like you got to get with the boys and go on a trip every now and then and go to a game and you're probably not going to see as good a game as we did frankly yep uh not to rub it in your face but a little bit in your face though wait we saw the game of the year and you're not going to probably yeah unless they somehow want to play off game in the next couple of years you're not going to see one that tops this one but uh this was a really really fun time we got to thank them we got to thank our buddy thami who hooked us uh absolutely thom held up to sign thanks to thom too uh thom for making it happen here at the thom's watch bar as we've been calling it but at the hollywood casino sports book for the hospitality and also having a guy that was in radio was like we didn't have to worry about anything yeah we knew everything would be hooked up yeah to taking care of and and on we went above and beyond he was pulling audio for us earlier today i know yes he was he he set up that he sent us a run down this morning told us what he wanted to hear in the first segment just the best so but the big theme here is in it we're doing stick but with thom and our buddies kendory and moron the we don't get to do this without a lot of people helping us yeah you know what i mean like it's that and you know of course we're coming to indiana to to the the sports book that thom manages to be able to broadcast like we're just a wee little radio show i mean we're down to i think market number nine now just a little engine that could you know but it's it's it's through you know the generosity of folks that obviously stepped up for us but also all the you guys out there and last night's one of those really really cool things where you go what an unbelievable privilege this is what what a gift what an amazing thing to be able to say that i did and we can't do any of this without you guys well i was hearing from like buddies back home yeah or like even friends uh parents you know that i haven't talked to in years and a couple of former teachers on facebook and and twitter and instagram and whatever and they're all like you must be so happy that just remember that i used to wear like a chris cooley jersey on a friday right it was one of those things where the whole story when i met art monk as a kid the whole story in the country right now is that you know the commanders were awesome last night they're like you must be loving life you look you can't wait till two i bet and you're like you're right actually this is one of those really cool days where this is a get-to job right we get to come in and talk about the commanders let's get to
