So whether you're commuting, working out, taking a break, the goal getters weekly digest is the perfect companion to keep you motivated and moving forward. So let's get started. I am literally reading the newsletter that you receive inside of your email box. I'm just going to read it to you here in this audio. So this is presented by the goal setters club. This is week 37 of the goal getters weekly digest. And so each month we focus on a life goal category. And this month we are focused on our family goals. And we're also focused on this week's task, which is journaling. And so we're focusing on a tool that can revolutionize the way you and your family connect and grow together. So as we explore the power of journaling, I want to encourage you to think about how this simple practice can strengthen family bonds, capture memories and align everyone's goals. So in today's edition, we have weekly reflection. We have our coaches corner, our weekly goal to do list this month's challenge and our goal tip of the week. All right. So let's dive into it. I'm going to start with our reflect and reset. So every week I take a moment to pause and reflect on the events of the past, the past week and I set my intentions for the week ahead. So this week I had the privilege of attending a graduation of a close family friend who has such an inspiring journey. He completed 12 weeks of boot camp with the United States Marines and just watching him transform from a high school student to a determined recruit and sending him letters each week. It was nothing short of incredible. And so his journey is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through commitment and discipline. It also inspires us to realize that with the same dedication, we too can accomplish many great things. So in my own life, you know, I embrace a new challenge. I'm 54 years old. I'm not shy about telling my age or my weight. I made a decision to go back to college. And so this January I will be starting college again. I'll be meeting with my counselor next week just to settle up some things, get my transcripts together. So this is also a testament to the fact that it's never too late and you are never too old to pursue your goals and dreams. So New Year's resolutions, they are not confined to the calendar. They can begin today. So a couple of reflection questions for you. What is the one commitment you can make to yourself in the next 12 weeks that will transform your life? How can you apply discipline and perseverance to achieve your own goals? What steps can you take today to start working on your long-term dreams and goals? So use this time to reflect on your own journey, set some powerful intentions for the upcoming week and remember every day is an opportunity to start a new day. So embrace your path with dedication and courage. Our quote of the week is all great change in America begins at the dinner table. That's by Ronald Reagan and it basically just says you have the power to change the world. You have the power to change your environment just by changing your family, just by sitting with your family members and helping them with their goals and dreams and teaching each other and protecting each other and supporting each other with their goals and dreams. So the change begins with you and it starts at dinner. So let's get into Coach's Corner. Using the power of journals to reach your goals. So to stay focused on your goals is crucial to keep them at the forefront of your mind. So this week, I want to encourage you to unlock the potential of journaling as a powerful tool to help you reach your goals. So in the hustle and bustle of this crazy busy life, our goals can get lost in the noise. So by embracing the practice of journaling, you can ensure that your goals remain alive and actionable. So take a moment to reflect on your journey. Do you have a journal where you record your goals, your dreams, your progress? If not, this is the perfect time to start. So think of your journal as a canvas on which the paint, you know, paint the picture of your dreams and goals and aspirations, write them down, break them down into actionable steps. Track your progress. So journaling is more than just putting pen to paper. It's about manifesting your dreams. When you write your goals down, you're not only clarifying your vision, but also setting the wills of action in motion. So it's a proven way to hold yourself accountable, celebrate your wins and learn from your challenges. So today I want to encourage you to add journaling to your goal setting toolbox, dedicate a few moments each day to jot down your goals, your thoughts, your reflections, and watch as your intentions transform into actions and your dreams into realities. So I know some of you are probably listening. Those of you who are watching, it's not to like to reach your goals. I do have a digital version of the 2024 goals journal. We are in September. You still have time. So moving on to our weekly goal to do list. Read, do, plan, explore, and buy. So read an article on the benefits of journaling for mental health and family well-being. Do, set aside a time this week to journal as a family and share your thoughts and goals. Plan a family meeting to discuss everyone's goals for the rest of the year and how journaling can help track your progress. Explore. Explore different journaling techniques. You have gratitude journal, you have bullet journals, you have prayer journals, and you have goals journals, and buy, of course, get Sireve Jean's digital ebook bundle, it includes the 2024 goals journal, and it includes the 2024 planner. All right, so moving on to our blog recap, every day I share personal stories, challenges, and insights on how I incorporate goal setting into my life. Consider starting a family journal and encourage every family member to write down at least one entry, you know, at the end of the month, come together and read and reflect on your entries. Okay. Well, tip of the week, start small. If you're new to journaling, begin with just a few minutes of the day, consistency is key, and soon it will become a cherished part of your routine. I'd like to thank you for tuning in. Remember, journaling is a powerful tool, not just for personal growth, but for family bonding as well. So take time this week to begin a journaling practice with your loved ones. It's in these shared reflections that you'll find strength and unity to achieve your family's greatest goals.
