Let's do a few shout out, some Miss White, who wanna definitely give you a shout out, Big Ben, wanna give you a definitely shout out, and listen, y'all definitely share, you can definitely comment, I'm looking forward to hearing, and please, please engage, we would love to, y'all to engage with us and everything else, but I got a few announcements that I need to get through, and then we're going to invite the woman of God, and the woman of God, it is a woman of God today, y'all, we're gonna invite her in. So here's what's going on in God has allowed us to be able to graciously release into the atmosphere. The first thing is first, is we're gonna be coming up in October, first of all, it's gonna be our TV, our radio, and our ministry anniversary, and we have one of the things that's coming up on October, the 25th, and that is, guess what, kingdom takeover, that's right, kingdom takeover, 2024, this is going to be the last one for this year, and I'm totally, totally excited about it, I really am excited about this kingdom takeover, this means a lot to me, it means a lot to me, why, because we're going to be bringing some awareness to domestic violence and breast cancer awareness as well. For the ones that do know me, really, really know me, back in the day, I used to do a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of events in our local area, where we're bringing awareness to different causes and things that were going on in the community and stuff, and this was one of them, we had fashion shows, I did events, even beyond the brokenness, we did some events around that as well, we're gonna have some wonderful, wonderful woman of God on this platform, Friday night, totally excited about Friday night, if we get enough, people, if it's overcrowded on Friday night, we're gonna move some to Saturday, but I'm praying we can get everybody in that Friday night, we're gonna have some wonderful music, we're gonna have testimonies, we're gonna have encouragement, empowerment, and just awareness on how important we need to be aware of these things that's going on in our community. With domestic violence, I'm gonna keep it real with you, it's a silent killer, it is not just physical, it's not just physical, I'll just leave it like that, and you're gonna be there for that, it's gonna be some more information put out for that. Thank you, Sis, more information put out for that. Also, let me show some more, let me get you some more, let me get you some more, get some, get some, get some. Also, we're going to my book, my book for such a time, as this, and I normally don't do this, y'all, but my team is getting on me, I'm not promoting it, and everything else. A point in time for such a time is this, listen, I need to go out and get you a copy, I promise you, I promise you, you're going to love it. Honestly, I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm fighting, we went to Expo, and I was fighting that a lot of people were intrigued and understanding and the revelation, that it draw them, normally, like we have free CDs on the table and candy and everything else, but what really drew them is the book, and they were saying the point in time, for such a time as this. So I was able to engage, we didn't get a lot of pictures, because I'm a type of person I went on engaging, I can't think, take pictures and engage at the same time, take pictures and engage at the same time. So, this book is out on Amazon, you can get it on Kindle, if you are subscribed to the Kindle Amazon as well, definitely, definitely let me know, you can reach out to me if you want the link, it's on Amazon, let me see if I got it in my studio, I should have it, there it goes. It's in Amazon, so you can go and check it out, in Amazon, Kindle as well, and you can purchase it. We have a lot, lots, lots, lots of more, coming about the, for such, the point in time, for such a time as this, that will be coming soon as well. I'm preparing to give more information out, when God tells me to release it. So, you need to stay tuned, you need to get connected to us, get connected to us, and here we go with the next thing that is going on, let me clear that out, y'all. If you are a type of person that you'd like to sit, set your day off with prayer every morning, some people like to pray as they're driving, or, you know, but, you know, you gotta pray, that is part of your relationship, that's the devotional time, that's communication with God. We, now I have the opportunity that I've been able to release, some morning prayers in the morning, and we would love for you to join us for morning prayers, and that's gonna be on our TV station, TCB broadcasting network, and also on my TV station, officially Carissa being, you can definitely follow us as all in there. I do occasionally put some on my Facebook, and that's on Christ like an author Carissa being, or is it author Carissa? I think it's off the course, so you can go on there and follow as well. And just as such, I'm warming up. I know for me, I just, it's important. It's just a song five and three. It's just in the morning. I make my petitions known and wait for you expectantly, Lord. So you can definitely connect with us there. I'm really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really excited about the fellowship on tonight. I'm looking for an amazing time with the woman of God from Texas, Dallas, Texas, that's the last school. That is the last school I'm giving you as we get to prepare for her to come in and fellowship with us and everything else. I wanna thank, honestly, I wanna give a shout out to some of the people that are on here. And you know, forgive me if I cannot see your name or anything like that, please forgive me on that and I'm going to check my social media as well. 'Cause sometimes when you're doing the live, it won't be public so everybody can't see it. But what I'm, for the ones that do follow me, eventually we're gonna start moving everything to our TV station so you'll have to see everything there. Facebook is becoming a little bit shady, y'all. So I just challenge y'all to connect with us on our TCB broadcasting network, YouTube channel. We have a TV station as well. You can, I'm gonna have to post that information as well 'cause we have a, we have it so you can go watch TV 24 hours seven days a week. And all of it is Christ related base, you know, there's nothing on you, you cannot watch everything, huh? - Christian program. - Yeah, Christian program, I'm sorry y'all. Everything on here is Christian programment. And, yeah, so, yeah. I'm gonna do that. I'm sitting here and I'm waiting for my coffee to get done so I can, (laughs) waiting for my coffee y'all. Girl, these are coffee. Listen, but I think that is the last announcement. I'm not used to doing announcements. I'd just like to get into the fellowship where we're waiting for the woman of God to come on time. Indeed, oh, guess what? Today, we're gonna have a double for your trouble. (laughs) Two episodes, we're gonna have two episodes, two live episodes today. And I'll give you a hint of who's gonna come on after the woman of God from Dallas today. Okay, ironically, in that mind, I can't give all the, I can't give all the juice right now. I cannot give all the juice right now. Cannot, cannot give all the juice. I hope the fires are off. Cannot give all the juice. In the name of Jesus. ♪ In the name of Jesus ♪ ♪ We worship you today ♪ ♪ Come on in Lord ♪ ♪ Come on in Lord, thank Jesus ♪ ♪ Hallelujah, hallelujah ♪ But anyways, we're gonna keep this ball rolling. So I think I gave y'all all the information out there. We're waiting for the woman of God to come in in the name of Jesus. And we're gonna get this, this fellowship started. Let me see what I got going on. I wanna make sure that it gave you all the information. 'Cause I don't wanna hear it when we have our... Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I almost forgot. I'm glad I look. Here is where you can connect with me on YouTube. I knew I had it. Bam, y'all. Bam, there it is. There it is. Whoo, there it is. You can connect with me on my channel, officially Carissa B. And like I said, our partnership channel, which is TC broadcasting channel, I'm gonna get a flyer for that done as well. So I could start being appreciated with all the platforms that we're on. So with that being said, I think that is all the announcements that I have, all the announcements that I have. I'm gonna give you one more clue and hopefully the one I got will be on here by that time. And we'll be in fellowship. I pray. Listen, I'll be back in a second. (upbeat music) Hey, hey, hi, y'all. I'm Carissa B. Author of the point of time and for such a time as this. You need to go out and get this book. This can help you on the journey, step by step, go to Amazon and purchase one. And also go to Amazon, Kindle and get one as well. (upbeat music) All right, all right. Listen, we're working out some kinks in the back and you know, I like to keep it real on here. So we're gonna keep it real on here, okay? Okay, okay. I don't know where I got that from, y'all. I don't even know where I got that from. But yeah, we're gonna keep it real on here in the name of Jesus. That's right. We're gonna keep it real. I'm excited about what God is doing in the lives of his people and we're gonna keep this ball rolling in the name of Jesus. I'm gonna give a little info. Hey, Latrice, hi, girl. I miss you. I got, I miss you. I miss you. I miss you. I miss you. How are things? Listen, this girl right here, this woman of God right here, she's fired when it comes to the word, but this girl can flow and dance and rap and sing. She's very multi-talented. She, I need to follow her as well. But let me go on. I just want to say hey to her. Thank you for stopping in, darling. But anyways, let's get some more information out as we get ready to present the woman of God in the name of Jesus. And this woman of God. (laughs) Let me be, I'm trying to stay calm today because I didn't get my coffee that you know, I'm a tough person when I fellowship, like a fellowship with my coffee. And my coffee is not here yet. It's still brewing. So I'm trying to wait, you know, so I can sit and feel important while I'm conversating, which I already know I'm important. But anyways, just when the God is from Dallas, Texas, she's known for her vocal talent, vocal talent in her dynamic performances. Now, I'm gonna be real and honest. I'm on here for the ones that do know me, I like to make up names that don't exist. (laughs) I might see you. I'm like, no, you look like a Patricia. And that is not your name. (laughs) I don't know why I do it. I don't know why. I could run it to you three or four times. Three or four times. I'm on your social media. I could say your name backwards and forwards. But as soon as I run it to you three or four times, I'm like, oh, yeah, she looks like a Jane. Hey, Jane, that is not my name. That is not my name. So now what I do now, so I want to mess up, nobody's name. I'm like, hey, sis, welcome. Welcome, you know, tell me your name. Please tell me because I believe names are very, very important. I really, really believe names are very important. And I don't want to jack up nobody's name and disrespect all of it, you know, everybody has value. So I'd rather just say, hey, hey, honey, you know, whatever I'm feeling led to do, listen, it's lead. 'Cause sometimes we say honey to a man, they think something else different. So I got to be cautious on how I use that honey. But usually it's, when I say honey, it's always a younger female or something like that. So this one I got, like I said, she is from the Dallas, Texas area. We're going to bring her in 'cause I feel like rambling, so I'm not going to ramble 'cause it's not my time to ramble. I'm going to ask her to, I know how to say her first name, but her last name, I'm going to feel like I'm going to mess it up. I'm probably going to mess up her first name too as well, 'cause I want to call her my niece's name and not the name that she is. So we'll all further do this. Tashay Bat-sias, Tashay-sias. Let's welcome her in. - Yes, you said it right, look at that. We'll put it on my side. - Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. - Wow, I'm so proud of myself. - Yes, you did that. You did that. People who normally be boot your in my name and you don't want me like that. And I'm so happy you said it right. Thank you, I appreciate it. - You're welcome, I feel so bubbly inside now. - Yes, yes, yes. - Listen, welcome, welcome to Life Talk TV Show. I'm excited about this fellowship from the Dallas, Texas area. Now, every time somebody come on here, I like to ask them a question about the area. What is one fun fact that you think that people don't know about Dallas, Texas, that you need to mention on today? - I would say the good food, the good food, the theaters, all the musical theater companies and stuff like that. And I would say, 'cause a lot of people say they're a click-ish, but you have some people that's not click-ish, you have some people that is about family and about support and about community. And so I would say community is another thing as well. So, yes. - Okay, well listen, we were in the Fort Hood area. I went one summer to tell everybody. And I'm not gonna, the one thing that kind of bothered, I'm not, it's probably not even close to Fort Hood, but the one thing that kind of bothered me, just the one thing, everything's so far apart, everything's so hard. And I was, we were on a military base. So just, you know, everything was just so far apart. So if you didn't, if you didn't know how to drive, you're kind of, you know, letting them know. And back then, we had taxes, y'all. So, like that, that's gonna give my age away. But we had taxes, this Uber thing was not existing. When I was younger, I think it was 18 or 19 years old at that time. I would have to take taxes everywhere to go, or, you know, actual rides. So, thank you. The information about Dallas, Texas. I wanna get into this interview, this, I like to call it fellowship, but some people, you know, won't be technical and say it's an interview. My first question to you is, when did you know that you know that you know? Are you knew that, for God I lived, this is it? For God, I'm just gonna stay on this path, and I'm gonna stay here no matter what. - I would say, I mean, I was young. I would never forget it. I would always love God. I always, you know, had a passion of singing, all the different stuff like that. But I remember when I was little, 'cause my dad is a pastor, my mom is a musician. I remember I used to play a lot. I was like six, nine, seven, probably around that age, seven or eight years old. And I was playing around one time, singing the church. And I remember catching the Holy Ghost for real, for real. Like, really catching the Holy Ghost for real for real. And I remember at that moment, that I was gonna serve God, that I was gonna fully, completely give my life to God. I mean, I already knew that I had a collar with my life at the time. They was always like the pastors and just all the different people that my mama and my dad was around. Had I always said I was the different, I was the youngest child, but I was the boldest child out of my whole family. And I always said that I was the one that was called. And that I was chosen. I was something, somebody special in the family. And so, but I remember at that people at the moment, I don't know, I can't remember exactly what song I was singing at the time. But I do remember catching the Holy Ghost in the spirit for real and enables it to remind me that I know that God was who I wanted to serve. - Right. You know, when you said that, when you were playing around and then you finally catch the Holy Ghost, I immediately went to, I don't, I'm just gonna say it on here. I thought about what me and my sister were younger. I'm the oldest and I had a sister that had three other sisters, four other sisters, something like that. There's a total of eight of us all together. But anyways, my sister, she was playing in the front room. Who weren't supposed to be in the front room? My mom, my mom and dad, my mom was a minister. My dad was a deacon. She was playing in the front room. And we weren't supposed to be in there. And shortly Caesar's song was on, "Hold My Mew." (laughing) And she was playing, and she was playing shouting. We were playing church. And she was playing shouting. She was holding onto my mom's special cheers. And we were like, oh, you better get out of there. And she was shouting holding onto the thing. And she couldn't stop. She could not stop. She actually felt the Holy Ghost. So the Holy Ghost, she said, "Turn this song on! "Turn this song on!" And I said, "No, am I going in there?" And so I understand when you say one that moment, you know, we're playing in that moment. And that was an innocent moment. But God was like, I'm about to really show you what you about to feel. And so thank you for bringing that into awareness. 'Cause sometimes people don't think so something has happened, but they didn't. At your moment, it's happened. - It really does. And it's crazy because I remember the story that Shirley Caesar said, when she was playing around and all the kind of stuff. And as soon as I was telling you this story, this is exactly what I was thinking about with Shirley Caesar, when she was young, when she caught the Holy Ghost, but she was playing around, but she really caught it. And that really happened. And it's crazy when my daughter, when my youngest daughter had caught the Holy Ghost, she was young, you know. And it reminded me of the Calvin Carter. It reminds me of that, you know what I'm saying? That stamped it, you know, don't play with it. It ain't ready for it. - It's right. - Yeah, so. - I tell you what, you're so right about that. And even though you said when you were younger, the journey from when you were younger and two now, how far is spiritual growth, how important? And this is for the listeners out there. How important is to know that you have to have spiritual growth, you know, because, you know, when you're under the covenant of your mom and dad, you know, and everything else growing, and you might have a personal relationship, but it hits different when you get back, when you get on your own, you know. So how important it is to be a develop or understand that you have to grow in this walk? - It's very important. I will never forget going off to college is when I really started to experience having to know God for myself. 'Cause I remember, you know, being a PKA and depending on my dad's faith, depending on my mom's faith, but then actually having to get to know them for myself and being able to experience and getting a prayer life for myself. And I will never forget this was even when I got a little older and I had kids. I remember being in a shelter and this when I started to God started to separate me from artistry and to ministry and I started to have to know God for myself. And I had to, God had put me in a shelter to show me who he was for real, for real. Now I just go by the scripture, but actually know who he was. He separated me from my non-filing, from depending on them and to treating them as a God. 'Cause sometimes we can depend on so many people, so much that we will use them as a God and we don't even realize that. And so I literally, I was able to win this guy, move in the miraculous, even in despite the things that God was showing me. But he showed me not just the scripture, but the experience, who I really was, in those primitive moments of my life. And so it's very important to have that relationship for yourself. Not by what people have taught you, not by, 'cause sometimes even, sometimes we can depend on the scriptures, but sometimes we gotta have our own experience. Sometimes we gotta go about what David had, went through what Peter, a signman, and all of them, but we have never really had said in the Bible, okay, let me put myself in this scripture and see whatever he's done for me. And so I can say in that moments, those people, the moments, those moments where God was literally taking me away and showing me what my true identity was, and him, is when I started to really experience him for myself. - That's true, that's true. Like how you said, going through your own experiences, because like you said, 'cause I grew up in the church, when you grow up, I think it's different, just my opinion. You're growing up in the churches, like how we do. It's like we, they're bowing the word, we're practicing every time the church doors open, they're putting it in us. Children's church, Bible study, Sunday school, all these things, choir, praise and worship, I mean, the children's choir, we're devouring the word, but what happens is, we might devour it, but we don't know how to make it applicable. It's just, it's like we're reciting it, but we don't under, we don't understand really, we don't, we've not experienced it. And so we don't look, and we go through things and trials and tribulations, the experience is real. Oh, that's what I say, it's like a fire shut up in my bones. Oh, oh, oh, oh, taste and see, oh Lord, I felt that, that moment when I had with you, you know? And so I think you're sharing that because it's very, very important through life that you have to, you have, it's important, you wanna grow as you grow, because life comes, and I'll tell you what, you're gonna need everything, every resource, everything that God is equipped in that Bible to allow you to be effective king to build her, you're gonna need that for your life. Especially when you're moving the level to level, you need those things to grow and to keep growing and not become stagnated. That's what you don't wanna do, or go backwards. And sometimes we do, even, even the strongest person has their weak moments. But long or in crisis, and I always tell people, long as you have a spirit of the sermon meeting that when you do want, you have a guilty conscious door. There's still hope that we don't have guilty conscious. I'm like, you don't got no conscious. - Right. - You don't got, you don't got, you don't got, took an advantage of some, or you don't really sort yourself or compromise who you're supposed to be, or who you're supposed to be serving for the world. And so, it's a dangerous thing, you know, I'm not gonna say that I just been perfect, and so like that when you start getting your conviction, it does show you that you do have a heart, and that you do have a consciousness to know that you gotta self-evaluate yourself, and turn over to God, you know, and so... - That is true. I wanna get into, when did you start walking in theater? 'Cause you know, you've been in the church, so music has always been a part of you. But when did you say, okay, I think I wanna pursue this now. I wanna move on to this area. - So I was saying, when I went to COVID, so after the shelter, God moved me to clean. It's when God started to utilize my profile to give this, when I started to realize I was profited, and I served under the ministry in God literally, when it was time for my assignment to be over with, I went through experience of losing my house due to fire, and then God moved me to Waco, where I ended up going to school, applying for a music program, a vocal performance program in Waco, where I received my associates, and I became a professor. During that time, I started to see that I was more than just being in the church. I felt, I was starting to see that I was, had the grace and the gift of my life to also be walking the marketplace in this world, writing on the college level. It's when people started coming to me, asking me for just my expertise, when it came to vocal arrangements, vocal coaching and stuff like that, and this when I started TBL in my own apartment, apartment in Waco, during the pandemic, 2020, after I was supposed to be on Sunday best, but Sunday best, straight up just kind of allowed to me during that time, and it didn't work out. - Right. - You know, I moved to forward, and well, during that time, I asked my professor, before I moved to Waco, I'm gonna move from Waco, what can I do with this degree? You know, I knew that, you know, the typical thing was to start a band, all the kind of stuff, but what can I do with this degree? They ended up giving me a professor position, music professor position, during that time, with a two-year degree, with a two-year degree, and then we also saw me, you know, working in film. That's when I fell in love, and I started doing some research, and I saw that I could be a music supervisor. I saw that I could be a music director and play in film, and God gave me an opportunity to do my first project, which was called Bone Soup. And now I did some theater in the past, but it wasn't on the level that I'm on now. It was always a dream, and a vision to be on Broadway, but every time I would try out something would either happen during the time where it just was not working out, and so God, let me get my feet wet with being a music director for this play. And I started to see that, dang, I really can do this. Like, I started engineering it. Like, I started engineering and got my own equipment and produced all these songs and arranged the songs to the point where the later who wrote the song was like, you created something that was better than what I had created, and so it gave me the, I would say, the craving to keep going. And so this play came about, and I tried out for it. We just recently had it. We had three sold out shows, and not only was I the actress of it, but God ended up opening up the door for me to be an arranger for as long as well. And now I recently just auditioned for Jubilee Theater. This was a dream of mine. I always had this dream to be a part of Jubilee. Jubilee is based out of artwork. They also have a campus in Dallas and also in Waco. - Okay. - And it's a theater for black actors and actresses, and I've always had this dream, and every time I would try out, it just didn't work out. It's a recently audition, and I got the part for this Christmas play. - Welcome. - It's a residency that you get paid every week, and it's just a great thing to get your foot in the door with this company because it opened up doors to Bass Hall, which is one of the biggest performance companies that's in forward. So really and truly, I can say, God, let me, it came with a desire, it came with a passion. Although I did put my heart work and effort to perfect the craft, but I'll never would have thought I'll be, it will be happening so quick, like it's happening right now. So that's how I got into theater. So I'm just looking forward to doing even bigger things, and one of my goals is to actually be on Broadway in New York, one of these days, and so the kids are old enough now, and so God is literally letting me spread my wings and just fly, and I'm just excited about it. - Be very excited about that, that is an accomplishment that many people would love and dream to have, and God said, this is your time, this is your point of time. People don't realize there's seasons for everything, and sometimes when we desire something in one season, God said, not quite yet, you're not in a condition yet, because there's a condition that comes with what you do, you have to be conditioned. It's not something that a high school can get out and they're just like free, no, it's training, there's discipline, there's strumming that comes with this especially for your faith, in the faith, there's deadlines, there's so much that's involved in having a career in that area, and a lot of them kind of take that for granted. Oh, they're just on the stage. No, no, it's a lot that goes into it. Everybody behind the scenes, preparing for it, it's so much of training, practicing, and giving your time, and it's not like you don't want to give your time, but your life is still going on, and there's pain, sometimes there's not pain, sometimes you have food, sometimes you don't have food, the ups and downs, so conditioning yourself in God is just saying, okay, now, it's time, you're ready. - And God is saying that people, it's crazy to love, girl, one of the ladies that ended up being a choreographer for the audition that I tried out for, was the same woman that saw me at the audition that I auditioned three years ago at Jubilee, so when she saw me in the production for it, the one I just currently got to get done with, she commented and said, she said, I've been waiting three years to see you on the stage. I was like, what if I had been mean to this lady? You know, what if I had been nasty? You know what I'm saying? And so when I auditioned, before I came to college, she was at an event outside on it, and she came to speak to me and told me she was a choreographer, and what if, and I found out she was the one who fought for me as well, when it came to the deliberations of picking people, what if I had been mean to this person? So you gotta be careful how to treat people. - You're right, you're right. - And whatever your oppression is, how you are the people, people will remember that, and you just never know who God will use to push you into your destiny. God will use to manifest and talk over your behalf. You know what I mean? So I'm so grateful she came to our show to support it. I mean, it was just a blessing. I mean, 'cause she even said, I don't know what she's like, I don't even know why it took so long to get this part. You've always been capable and stuff like that, and she did when we auditioned three years ago, that she was just excited about meeting the part. You know, sometimes you don't meet people like that. They wanna see you perceive your goals or even be successful more than they do. And so it was just such a breath of fresh air to me, somebody like that, but also to get a whole 360 turnaround and to know that what I've done in the past was not in vain, where I was just pointing me, he was training me, he was preparing me. You know, even though it took so long, but now I'm ready, you know, so. - With the appointed time. And I wanna get into that, you have music out. You have a few, actually you've got a lot of music out. How was the journey for that, you know? - Wow, okay, so it's crazy. So I was literally, I haven't shared this story in a long time and I'm not even embarrassed. I'm a survivor of domestic violence. So I've always seen, I've always been in a group. I was nine years old when we started singing in my family's group. I ain't my size and size family. I've always been able to open up for major artists or like that, but 2016 is when I became an artist on my own and I wrote this song. Even you talking now and being transparent now, the doors are just being swing open, and all you have to do is be obedient to him and walk in. So be encouraged in the name of Jesus in this, there's nothing wrong with you. I'm just telling you to be encouraged because I got you.
