Clark Sports Update. Kaitlin Clark's rookie season came to an end on Wednesday when the fever were swept out of the playoffs by the Connecticut Sun. Since entering the league as the first pick of the draft, Clark has been firmly in the bright lights and she's looking forward to stepping away for a few months. It's going to be nice though, I think getting out of the spotlight and just getting to live my life to do things that I want to do and you know not have to sit and I like love talking to all of you but is going to be nice to not have to sit in front of a microphone multiple times a week. That was courtesy of the fever as Indiana held their exit interviews today. Clark was unanimously named the Associated Press WNBA Rookie of the Year on Sunday after leaving the fever to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. The league announced today that it had just had the WNBA's most watched regular season in 24 years, finishing with its highest attendance in 22 years, a 48% increase from last season. The league sold out 154 games compared to just 45 last season. In the NFL, the Chiefs are off to a 3-0 start as they prepare to face the 2-1 Chargers on Sunday and they've gotten off to an undefeated start despite a lack of production from tight end Travis Kelsey. Through three games, the 9-time pro bowler has just eight catches for 69 yards and he's yet to get into the end zone. Despite the lack of stats, Kelsey said today that he's able to handle not getting as many targets. I think I'm fortunate that I've had the success in the past and I realize that the ball can't always go to one person and can't always get in my hands but at the same time, I got all the trust in one five to make the right decision and he's been making great decisions. That was courtesy of the Chiefs. Another NFL news, Cowboys Ed Rushier, Micah Parsons has a high left ankle sprain in defensive end of Marcus Lawrence suffered a midfoot sprain against the Giants and will keep him out for multiple weeks. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said that the injury to Lawrence was worse than Parsons and you can download the Fox Sports Podcast on Apple, Spotify or wherever you download your favorite podcasts.
