A trusted source for the news, seven nights at hallows where the dears where the do's. This is Bobby Higgum Curtis Dennis, know that we've been loyal even when we wasn't with him. What's going on ladies and gentlemen, once again this is another episode of 79th The Houses of You are watching this on YouTube or on Twitter and it looks like there's an earthquake going on in my video. There's a train next door and there's nothing I can do about it until it stops. Alright, so let's just get that out the way right now. This is to the audio version. This doesn't matter. This is episode 251 of 79th and Hallows. We are your hosts. Scott and Bloze, you can follow us on all social media platforms at barbed share. Scott, at Floe's, Angelina, you can follow 79th and Hallows at 79th and Hallows on Twitter. You can follow the barberschit network at barberschitnet or all social media platforms, man. I'm really annoyed by this camera thing, right? You know, there's my room is nice and steady. This is the same house, nice and steady. You don't have to be giving up location details on this show. Just know that it's mine and shaking over here anyway. So yeah, let's just get right into episode 251. We were not able to pod after the game on Sunday because we had to leave straight from Indianapolis because this man right here had the world to work and I wanted to lay down and getting ready. I had to get ready if I'm not going to hold you and someone to watch the football. They want to get into the house too late. So yeah, man, let's just quickly kind of talk about that game because we didn't really recap it a little bit. I feel like I've kind of given all my thoughts on I'm not going to hold you. I think it was a very wonderful game. I think the crazy thing about the early part of this bear season, this thing could easily be three and no, this thing can easily be on three. That's the very interesting part about all of this is your 117 point comeback from start knowing three people in panic mode right now in bearish Twitter bears in and religious bears Twitter. I'm going to say bears media. I think everybody bears media for the first time are kind of all on one accord like with where this is going. But bears Twitter has been losing it this week and getting to that in just a minute. But imagine this is all a three chain and you lost to a will levels at home. It'd be worse than what it is right now. But I really think, you know, a couple things, man, you know, if they don't have that stupid blocking assignment for cold commit blocking a defensive end, even though he said on his own podcast that he puts the blame on himself because he should be able to do a better blocking that that calls the strip sack of Caleb Williams. And then people wanted to put that on Caleb Williams like, yes, eyes of the back is it your blocking your blockers host the block the person and that's not okay with Williams. If that doesn't happen, Roman doomsday is wide open in the corner. Caleb hits him and so else whole new drive. But more importantly, they actually scored touchdown on that fourth in one play, which is basically going viral now with how crazy it was that they didn't get a point in get a score in. Then that's that's a game right then that you win. So I take that's why I take from that. It was another winnable game. The running was terrible. There's no reason you should run for what 63 yards they ran for on the number one worst rushing offense rushing defense and football, which I don't understand why you have Caleb Williams throwing the ball for three times. That's something that stood out. Then also I think that Caleb Williams in that second half really, really showed me something. And if you look at all the people who watch the all 22, like I said, I don't watch all 22 because I'm not a psycho. There's no there's no there's no audio on there. If you're just sitting there watching in the dark, it's just kind of crazy to me unless you're like a coach, a former player or something like that, that they saw big improvements. Joe, you said you bought some big improvements like I came out of that game like, yo, we got us one. Now it's just up through the barriers to not ruin him or to give him bad tendencies early on in his career. That's what I take from the game. I won't spend too much on it because it is Wednesday where any week for fishy starter, that's just my quick take on the coach loss. So for me, I thought his first half was unassuming and unimpressive. I thought the second half is where I really now bear in mind. I think the first drive was an awful, I thought the first drive, he was actually in a pretty solid group play calling was simple. But what I did notice when I watched the all 22, which again, you have to be some level of a sociopath to watch all 22, just because it's just there's no audio. You're watching the same play twice, of course, because you have to see the broadcast angle, the zoomed up broadcast angle, then you have to see the front angle. And what I take from that is there are a lot of things wrong with Chris Morgan's blocking scheme. It's often that Gerald Everett, big dog, co-commit, have to block ends by themselves. It's a lot of double teaming with tackles and with guards blocking when a lot of them should be going to help the tight end guard and end. I don't ever want to see a tight end blocking and end. I just don't, unless you're running a counter or unless you're running a stretch play, unless you're running an off tackle run, where this is the opposite end, this is the weak side. And I don't want to see a tight end guarding an end. That's just not what you're there for. It's a difference in size. It's a difference in skill level. And unfortunately, the Bears have had a lot of these tight ends blocking ends. And I just don't understand that. It is a very odd way to run your football team to have that constantly happen. And bear in mind, I'm sure some of it is just positioning. A lot of them are wide, wide are lining up, at least when I saw it with the coach, they're lining up in a 4-3. So you're seeing a lot of a 2-I-3 tech. And then you're seeing a wide, wide tech being far out. And you understand it's trying to get, it's an effort to get up on a lot of past rush angles. But at the same time, it should never be that cold commit is on an island. I just, I don't want to see that. So that being said, the blocking needs to be addressed and changed. I don't know how would it need to be addressed and changed. Secondly, going back to that second half, but the second half was really, really solid for, really, really solid for Caleb Williams. And then I think back if, I think so too, then I think back on what we're looking at the interception that bounced off Rommel Dunezay's hand. It's a tough catch in Rommel Dunezay's hand. And my criteria, my level of skill for NFL players is if the ball hits you in the hand, you need to catch it. Very, very simple. And it didn't enhance. So you take that play away, then all of a sudden, Caleb Williams only has one interception, which was, there was a rookie mistake interception, but it was there. You take that away as one interception. Outside that, he's having a great game. It was a good touchdown to Rommel Dunezay. It was a good touchdown to our co-commit. So I saw a lot of progress this game. I saw a man who was doing more of setting his feet, not releasing off the back foot or releasing off a flat foot off angle throw. I saw him stepping into his throws and releasing and showing that velocity. I saw him even trusting his line when he should necessarily trust his line. I have a reason to trust his line. So I saw a lot of good things from Caleb Williams that I don't see a reason to panic. I think what you're dealing with now is you have rookies, but you have first-year people at several positions. You have Shane Waldron as the first year for the Bears, since first-year with the Bears. And first-year working with a rookie. You know, working with a rookie, you had Geno Smith who's been in the lead for over a decade. And so now you have a very, very tough situation that you have to come into. So I'm not ready to get the pitchforks out. Bear in mind, they should have no losses. They should have no losses right now. They both with those games is winnable. The Colts game was the most winnable one, but they have, they should have more than the wins that they have right now. So I look at this with a sort of glass half full perspective that there's so much to grow from this. Now it's time to put it together. But now you're going to team with the Rams. We just got a good win against the 49ers. So it's not like you have something that's just easy. And it's Matthew Stafford. Matthew Stafford, he knows how to win games. He's won a Super Bowl. So now it's a tough situation. And I don't think fans should take the Rams lightly, but I also don't think they should press the panic button on Caleb. Should you want to see more for the offense? Yes. The offense seems to be in flux right now with what they want to do, how they're approaching the game. You don't want to see the offensive line being flux. You don't want to see a player like Matt Pryor, who's not a good for all intents and purposes. It's not a good guard. He's serviceable, but he's not going to ever be a priority to get somebody on as your offensive line. He was came over here for depth. And that's pretty much the main reason. You don't want to see flus talk about it or not because Nate Davis has been sent to the Gulag. Yeah, I know. Nate Davis is probably not going to ever get that starting position back. So I said, that's to say, I don't think there's a reason to panic right now. For what? What are you panicking over? Are you panicking over if the offense should be better? Okay, I think I think people panicked because anybody had these super super high expectations. Yeah, a lot of people did. And even though both men you had 10 and seven, I think we all expected the the offense is going to take a while to get to where I need to get. Now, excuse me, I got hit up so I hate when I do this, but I expect to look this bad. The niggas is average of 12.3 points per game. That's four field goals. So I understand what a panic is coming from. But the same time, like I said on our Twitter today, it's early in the season, bro. It's 14 more games. You win this Sunday against the Rams, you're two and two, right? And you got some winnable games coming up after that. Now, I think that'll be something that you'll be able to move forward. Once I get where the panic is coming from a little bit because those so high expectations, but Joe, you said it all off season. All right, this is still the best. We still got to wait and see. All right. I mean, I told people to give into their fan notions of being happy, you know, being happy that something good is about to happen and being excited about a rookie quarterback coming in and changing the game. That doesn't mean I want you to be irrational and be unaware, unassuming of what we're dealing with. And that is a rookie quarterback who is trying to get his feet into the foot into the door, his feet on level ground. And that is not an easy thing to do. It's going to take some time. He's going to struggle. And you I don't expect him to have it all done right, you know, out the gate. Now, we're, you know, you can talk about, you know, J. Dan's has become the top of a conversation with a few football analysts to football, stat nerds. Same. Whereas of now, I want to take Jayden Daniels. Hey, Dan's hadn't throw up a touchdown to save his life before this. On top of that, his game is really, really condensed, which is what a good team would do. The game is really, really condensed. What a good team would do would make it easier and condensed for your rookie quarterback. I was like, but he's not seeing what Caleb Williams is seeing. And he's not putting position where Caleb Williams put in positions. So you can't really compare them right now. That's just really not how it works. So that's just my take on that. This is my thing on a whole Caleb team. And this is something that Mikey told me shot the Mikey co-host. I'm not going to go, "Man, this fucking hiccups, man." You know, I hate when adults get hiccups. Like, this is like little kid shit. But anyway, that's not something I get. Oh, this don't still work. You fuck up, nigga. Anyway, Caleb is just not like it's by a lot of people. We saw this as last year at USC. Oh, he wines, he paints his nails, cried this mama. You know, people just don't like him. People are looking for a reason to jump on him. And on top of that, they had the fact he plays for a franchise that a lot of people just like laughing at. I keep saying we are the football nicks. Niggas love laughing at the nicks. Like all all franchises, even with the nicks being good now, niggas like still the nicks, they'll find a way. And I kind of feel, you know what I'm saying, Saturday, why I give me a trip, a tip. So he said, "Try holding breath 30 seconds, it's gonna trick me." It's like, we just got to embrace the fact that we kind of got like a villain that people don't like. And then when he does step it up, it's gonna get better for us as fans. Yeah. For some things, we'll start with quarterback. So just with professional athletes now, you have to deal with the fact that most people don't want you to be outspoken, to be cocky, to be boastful of bashful. They want you to pretty much be in the bubble of who you are. And they like that comfortability. And so when you're soft-spoken, when you don't talk as much, when you just keep to yourself, you begin to get a love of, "Hell yeah, that's a real hard work and that's a real solid God." But at the same time, that's not necessarily an indicator of how of a person's goodness or like they're of or a person's play or how they'll be on the field. And I think Caleb Williams right now just has to build the fact that just people don't like that. It could just be an American sentiment. I don't know if people don't like to see someone be outspoken. Caleb is outspoken. Caleb is very well media trained. He knows how to talk, get it out the gate and has no issue with speaking to media or speaking his mind. But who cares if he's a little boastful of bashful? That's not a reason to dislike the person. But you know, you have to talk, especially like he was in college, you'll find a way to not like him. And then now, the one thing people love to do in sports period is that that number one pick comes with a lot of scrutiny about, "Oh, you know, you're not performing as well as you should have. You're not doing things like this." Well, they got this person at 10. They got this person at two at a discount. So it just comes with the territory. It's no, it's no big issue, I think for me. It's you just got to accept it. You've embarrassed, you have, embarrassed fans have a number one pick as your quarterback right now. That is going to come with scrutiny in us. Deal with it. Who cares? It's not a big important thing for me to see that happening. Now, what I don't want to see is when people who are analysts, people who are media, who are journalists, making lazy takes, I think you, if you're someone who is on this beat or on a beat period or has a lot of following, at least be more nuanced and be more careful with what you're saying. From fans, I expect that. Everybody else is like, relax. So, that's just my take on it. Big shout out to Alex and Orlando telling me to be a man in the chat, fuck y'all, shout out to Miles that holding your breath trip actually works, so shout out to you. But yeah, I mean, you kind of hit the nail to hit, man, where it's like, and people just don't like him. But I could think too, what the bears is, bear fans have shiny new toy syndrome. You know what I'm saying? We're like, oh, we should have got that. And here's the funniest thing about all of that, right? Let's just say the bears would have drafted Jay then. I saw some people out there that didn't even interview him. He's got to do his due diligence. This dude has been the most sought after prospect in years. If you know who you're going to get, there's no point in going through the process of interviewing other people, in my opinion. You know what I'm saying? If the bears had drafted Jayden Daniels, you know what I'm saying? And Caleb went to Washington and Caleb did exactly what Jayden did. Bear fans be up here saying, we passed up on another generational prospect. Do I think you said I think you hit the nail to hit, bears are so insecure. And let's just say, Jayden might be that guy. Who said you can't have two quarterbacks out of that guy? What if this is a paid man in time, Brady type, a type situation. But this is my home's burrow type situation. You know what I'm saying? My home is Lamar. Like who's, my own Allen? Like who said that both of these kids can't be good. And that's the thing that annoy me. And I also think people don't watch these games. It's also something we said, and I'm not going to hold you. Mike pointed out, Mike you pointed out, me, you, Mike, everybody, we do these shows. We're not just fans. We watch this, we watch these games multiple times. I watch the game when I'm there, and then I go back and I watch the condensed version on on on a NFL plus see if I got something different from a different view. Some people, you know, a lot of people just only watch bears games. Right. Like they don't watch other NFL games. But if you look at Jayden Daniels the last two weeks before this, and I saw this stupid stat ESPN stats, I had to call him, is oh, they haven't put it in two weeks. The link is going to score touchdown last week. Hey, Parker, they kept going for field goals. Like that's the stuff that is meant to get engagements. It's advanced fans are reactionary. It works every time. The Justin Fields thing. I said in my rent that kind of almost mini went viral this week. I you know, we had something where network justice up in and there's all QB stats on the third thing. Now QB wins our thing. So that's just the whole thing. If that was just annoying, and comparison is the is the thief of joy. Worry about what you got, bro. Yeah, we wish Caleb would have came out, you know, ripping it in first three games. He's a rookie. This is the NFL. Things don't go out that way. Jay Davis got his first pass of touchdown this week. The same time, it's Caleb. Right. And and maybe this is something that, you know, I think Adam Hoe said this, I peed this in camp that bagels defensive line is trash and not not not using that as a excuse because Jane did exactly what you're supposed to do against trash defensive lines. You know what I'm saying? He did exactly what you're supposed to do. But that all was like a bad and can't do in the joint practice. So that was something as well. It just too much. We're with what 17% of this season, like there's so much out there that we got to wait. Jaden's going to go through the up and downs. So it's Caleb and I just feel like it's just stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, bro. And it's going to continue because that's just how it is. And yeah, and my thing is, it's like you said, you have no reason. I'm talking to you there as fans. You have no reason to feel biased or moist. You're three games. You're three games into the season. Both players have two touchdowns. I'm not sure. I think Jaden Daniels has a bout. I had the page up and he has about 664 passing yards in Caleb Williams has about 630 passing yards. So you're looking at players who are right around that same trajectory in terms of scoring touchdowns. So what is the deciding factor? It might be the turnovers. Caleb does have turnovers. Caleb has also passed more than Jaden Daniels. So what about it? I have to understand, I want to get into your mind and understand what's the thing? Is it the intersection because this is a rookie quarterback. You want them to throw. And so that means it's going to come with more interceptions. They're not aware of the nuances of the game, the speed of the game, they're not aware of how plays depend on certain amount of plays and how it depends on the player. They're not aware of how that works just yet. And so they're going to struggle with it. It's not college where you have your freaking CJ Shroud. You have some of the best wide receivers in the country and you're going against Western Michigan and you can just annihilate them. No, you're going into who are the best in this, the city, best in that state, best in the country, and then became the best of the best. So you're going to deal with interceptions and turnovers. So what is the thing that you're worried about? I can't understand it for right now because I don't see anything about Jaden Daniels so far that thinks, oh man, the bear is missed out on it. In terms of arm strength, I give Kate of the edge. In terms of accuracy, I give Kate of the edge. In terms of wins, I guess you can get dating the edge. But what's the main thing? I don't think right now, you've seen anything to make sure that I was. I think it was a better runner. That's really about it. And I don't think he's a natural runner. That's what he does. You know, my post called a commander's thing like, no, I'm tired of this little Taylor. Y'all want him? I give him Jaden Daniels. They would take Jaden Daniels, drop that nigga off at Reagan Airport so fast, so fast. Let's be very, very clear by that. And so I mean, and then you know, you're looking at his Russia and he rushed for 1,100 yards this final year as LSU running is what he does. Caleb does not run. And so that's why Jaden Nams never threw for 4,000 yards in college. That's just not his thing. His thing is too fast. You know, 3,000 yards once. Caleb Williams thing is too fast. Caleb Williams thing is too fast. And so you add up all these things that I wanted to yourself. You have to want it to yourself. What is it that you're afraid of? And I don't think I've seen anything from the game that makes me believe that the bears have had buys or more. Is it the accuracy? Is it the passing? If it's just a turnover, I'd say man up. It's just a turnover's man up because I do not think that is a legitimate reason to be afraid or legitimate reason to have buys or more. Because it's only three games then. Now if we're 13 games in, it's a stark difference. I say, oh man. But at the same time, it's still not a bad choice. Caleb was the better choice coming into the NFL draft. It's just clear. Jaden Nams stayed for five years in college. Jaden Nams was in Arizona State and then LSU. And it was trash Arizona State. He was not good at Arizona State. His first year LSU, I think he threw 17 touchdowns or three picks or something like that. It was nothing crazy. It was okay. His next year blew up. Had an amazing year, 37, 38 hundred yards passing 40 touchdowns for CDs. That's fine. Hey, the Williams second year in college was 4,500 yards, 42 touchdowns. The next year he follows it up with 37 hundred yards, 30 touchdowns. This is the better quarterback was Caleb Williams by far as opposed to somebody who had a flash in the pan in college. Now, both of them are Heisman winners because they both had stellar years. Jaden being his last year's fifth year. Caleb being his second year. But if we're looking at the body of work, Caleb was the number one prospect that was not even close. So it's not like you're looking at Metro Chabisky where you had scouted Pat Mahon for such a long time. You knew that on draft night. You just wish the last second. And so what's the thing? I do not think you're being rationed if you have buyers or morse. I do not think there's a stat out there that lets you know, hey, you should have done this so that you should have ABC. So I just say relax. Relax. Enjoy the moment. Bears fans. And this, I just want to say this is not all Bears fans by the way. I don't want to, I feel like what I said on my show this week and I'm not apologizing by the way. I mean everything I say on my show, I think everything through. But what I mean by Bears fans, I mean there's some Bears fans. All Bears fans are not like this. All Bears fans are not idiots. There are a lot that are, but that's some people said, oh, we should have got offensive lineman Estella getting Roma doomsday. Like bro, first of all, Rome neighbors and Marva Harrison Jr. They're yards. These first three games look really, really good. You know what I'm saying? Like, and number two, everybody praised the Rome pick when it happened. So they'll have buyers or morse because, oh, breaking news, the offensive line isn't blocking. And also I still feel that, you know what I'm saying, that when it comes to the blocking, I still don't think 100% that it's on offensive line. I still think about it. This got to do with skiing because this all, this is the same offensive line for last year. They were not this bad. They were bad. I mean, that wasn't bad. The offensive line last year was middle of the row. I believe middle of the row. So I don't believe they just got god awful in a couple of months. I believe this has a lot to do with Shane Waldron's skiing to why they've been so bad. But if you look at that as well, like, okay, Joanne was off the board, my nigga. So there wasn't any game-changing offensive lineman that you're going to get right there. Everybody praised them. Then I saw somebody else tweet, oh, this will happen. The pair should have got Taylor Carter said, Johnny, all right, Johnny, all right, it was great last year. Let's, let's, he's having a downstart, but don't give up on him a cupboard. Downstart. So that's the stuff I'm talking about when it comes to picking and choosing, man, just relax. We're going to get into this week's game, which I feel a lot is on the line because of a stark difference between two and two and one and three. But we're getting set later in the pod before right now in the words of a nigga we all hate. Relax. You know, it's funny because on PFF, you know, which, of course, we all, PFF is infamous because when you hate PFF, you do not care what somebody brings up their stats. I use PFF for your own agenda. But PFF has Chicago Business, the 11th ranked offensive line. They're exact words. We're in Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright. Chicago has a promising young offensive tackle duel and Teva Jenkins performed extremely well since moving to guard. There was a good solid line. I mean, of course, you're replacing who was the Lucas Patrick and, oh my goodness, Patrick. No, Cody White here, who I didn't think really much of, but the errors, the struggle seems to be with those two players, those two positions, right guard center. The hope is, you know, Ryan Bates gets healthy and then he moves the bar. So I can't remember, is he injured? Ryan Bates is injured, right? Because normally it would not be Matt Pryor being up. And so maybe you hope there's some stability there. I do not know. But I thought Darnell Wright had a very good game last game. I thought Braxton Jones played much better. I thought Teva Jenkins played much better. And I thought Matt Pryor held his own for what it's worth. And I didn't see Coleman Shelton get blown up. I think the biggest thing that I saw in this all 22 versus the other two games was communication. We shall have a fine every time you've been in that table. I'm sorry. What I saw was communication. I saw Blitz is being picked up better. I saw communication between, okay, who is going to hit, who, who's going to pass, when off, who's going to get a chip lock. And so I saw a much better communication between the lineman and the quarterback than I saw before. So my only hope is that continues going forward. Yeah, I will 100% agree with that, man. Let's move on to our next topic. I touched on this a little bit on I'm not going to hold you, man. You talked about this on the way to the locker room after the loss on Sunday. Is it time for best fans to start adjusting expectations? Or do you still think it's a little bit too early to change when predictions? I said that somebody commented on us live and said the super cap here is what you're describing about Jaden's broke through the college game. No, it's not broke through the college game is incremental growth. You don't go from 17 touchdowns, 10 touchdowns, 17 to 40. That is flashing the pan. That's flashing the pan. That's literally what I don't understand. Like, do you understand how 17 to 40 is a huge flash? That's just astronomically. You're not seeing growth in the college game. You just saw a player who had an excellent year. And is he playing better? He doesn't have a turn off. Of course I'd say he played better. But that's not anything astronomically will make me worry. That's being dishonest. It's dishonest to say that, oh man, he's just so astronomically better. He had a great game. But also games before that was unassuming. I thought nothing of it. And so I do not think that's the reason. But again, it goes back to my first comment. I do not think that is a reason for fans to panic. If you're worried about interceptions, I'm going to tell you they're going to have if you're worried about interceptions, I'm going to tell you they're going to happen. It's just part of the game. But you are seeing two different quarterbacks in two different situations who have the same amount of touchdowns. Really? Yes. And also too, I think it's what you're going to have. Cliff Cane, good. Cliff Cane, good. It's Tate, gentlemen. It's Tate, gentlemen. Shout out to my boy, Shout Lando on Twitter. I was able to meet him out there. He was a cool guy. He said on his Twitter, he had a nice little thread. He said, everybody was kissing Clint. Clint Kubiak's ass. Then we three come and he don't know what he doing. Like he ain't to play. He ain't working because it's film people. It's film. Oh, this should have got Clint Kubiak. Everybody said they didn't want a first time play call again, like it had in Lou Gethse. Clint Kubiak is the first time play call. Yeah, he was great in the first two games. Third game it looked terrible. I'm not going to praise Cliff Kingsbury for one game. And guess what? This people's defense is probably just trash. Right. They're all in three because of that defense. I think it was Joe Burrow. And like you said, it was about 15 minutes ago when it comes to national media where Chris Canty said about Joe Burrow on Monday was ridiculous. That was ridiculous. Like, oh, it's Joe Burrow's fault. Well, it ain't one of his like, they didn't punt. The bagel didn't punt. He had three touchdowns through 300 yards. It's not Joe Burrow's fault. It's that defense. So I think we also got away a little bit for y'all, Sam. We won a Cliff Kingsbury. I remember when Clint Kingsbury was getting interviewed by Ryan Polls and everybody said, keep them away. Keep them away. We saw what he did in Arizona with Kyle Murray. Keep them away now. Because he has a good game against the Bengals. Everybody wants to switch out. Like I said, is it Ouchiwaleo? Is it one Mike? Stop it, people. Like I got Shane O'Madd just said, it's week three, yo. It's week three, my guy. What are we doing? It's week three. Why are the takes so bad? How do you even tell me, oh man, this person is a better quarterback right now. The best quarterback in the league is still Pat Mahomes. Is he playing like it right now? No, probably it would be Derek Carr or Baker Mayfield. Chevy has the SUVs you know and love. And now there's one more. If you think that's going to be the case in 14 weeks from now, I got a skyscraper in the middle of Idaho. It's not our terrified for no reason, just relaxed. And it's also too, I saw somebody in it fail. Twitter is just as bad as NBA Twitter now. It's just as bad. I saw a swipe tweet. Y'all better get Patrick Holmes the same screw New York, give Lamar Jackson and Jaylen Hurts. I was like, first of all, you tried to fit Jaylen Hurts in there like we didn't see that. First of all, you tried it. There's four MVPs between those two gentlemen, and you got a nigga who's led to the league and turnovers since week one of last year. Jaylen Hurts isn't the number two. If there's anybody who's allowed a slow start on this Earth, is Patrick Lavon Mahomes the second? It's him. Right. That's how I feel about that. Okay. I don't get it. Just let's just relax. Let's just wait everything to play out. But what are we doing? Is this really do you really want to have such a strong take right now in the young season? Or do you just want to let everything play out? Because again, I am not a person who is I had a very much more close relationship with the Justin Fields pick because Justin Fields went to Ohio State. I desperately wanted him to succeed because he was a Buckeye. I saw him beat Michigan never lost in Michigan. Of course, he just try lost in Michigan. I'll never forgive you for that. But I saw him do so many great things in Ohio State. And I love the Buckeyes. So I love the Buckeyes so much so that I am going to get a freaking degree in something there just to call myself a Buckeye. Just to call myself a Buckeye because I've loved him since I was a child. That's how much I love the Buckeyes. So I wanted Justin Fields to desperately succeed. But with Kato Williams, I do not have that attachment. I don't have it. The attachment is Jay Daniels could become better than him for all of his purposes. He could. Would I want that? No, I wouldn't have to be the best because this is the team that I am reporting. I'm watching. I've been a fan of themselves a kid. But I must be the Phil Jackson attachment. Phil Jackson told the Bulls right before game seven against the Indiana Pacers. Y'all could lose. So you got to say, he might be better. We don't know. That's a combination you can have in 2028 at the earliest. Right. I do not know. But I do not think I can definitively say it's so stark. And then I'm going to make it a term in the statement like he's playing better football right now. It's too early. Who had better last games? Oh, Jay, Jay made two wild throws that blew my mind. Absolutely. Absolutely. Before that, I go first game unassuming, second game unassuming, third game. And so if I'm looking at that, I only have all the have two games to go from. I mean, one game to go from each. That's not that's not a sample size. That's nothing. So I might take on it though. But back to the adjusted expectations. Do you think it's time for bears fans to adjust expectations on the wins or no, go ahead. This team is probably going to win seven to eight games. Wow. Shout out to my phone for being very much talented and very loud. This team is going to win seven or eight games. So we need to adjust the expectations right now. I think part of that comes down to the lack of efficiency with the Matt Evil who's run team. And so me, it's got to have 10 wins because I was predicting three more from last year. Seven wins last year. You're adding Caleb Williams and young QB. I'm looking at my perspective when the draft first happened. That's going to give you an additional win. You're not playing a rough schedule too bad. Well, you're playing like outstanding players, three wins. Now I'm thinking, you know, you might have the same wins as last year. This defense is playing lights out because it's playing better than they were last year to start the season. And now we have to deal with the offensive fact. And if the offense plays as well as it is in the second half, I'm going to stick with probably seven to eight wins. If they play like they did in the first game or I'm thinking four to five wins. So we're in a tricky type situation. And if they get seven or if they get eight wins, it's an improvement. It's not a win. A win for me is nine. If they get three to four, it's a fail. You burn it down. Get rid of Matt evil. Players are there. But get a review of this. Now, if you say Washington is defensive, you know, I have nothing bad to save out them right now. But if they lose his flus last of season, that's a little season, bro. It's just not what they do. A smart team would do that. A smart team would say, let's fire you. And if we can find something to start installing with a new culture, let's start the head coach process right now. Then, yeah, that's what a smart team would do. But they don't I mean, I wouldn't even find me in season for a couple reasons. Well, who you are placing with? Like, yeah, the candidates that you want are going to be available talk in the season. More than likely, Shane Waldron doesn't go anywhere this season. Yeah, even one of them. Yeah, Shane Waldron stays where he's at. So Shane Waldron stays where he's at. It's perfectly fine for him to be interim or Eric Washington being enter interim. It wouldn't matter either way, because they're probably still going to be here. Unless the new coach comes in and says, it has that pool to say, no, I need a new one. So I wouldn't, I don't think it would be an issue. I don't think you lose anything if you fire him mid-season. But again, three games in, it's a small sample size. I need to see more before I say, oh, it's time to fire. My typical firing time zone is six games in where I can say, oh yeah, you need to fire this person. This is getting bad. So that we will see. They start off one at five, then yeah, you might have to make Eric Washington interim coaches. I'm not going to make a Shane Waldron interim coach, but then they can't even do his job right now. You know what I'm saying? That's the issue I have with that. For me, with adjusting expectations, I think they lose this game this week. Yeah, for sure. I'm already adjusting. I've already changed it because not that I'm being a sucker and I'm getting off the train early. But I don't think it's going points. I don't think it's going points consistently. Like in order for them to win the 10 that both of us pick, which is a modest pick, they've got to win nine to the last 14 came in the last time with Chicago Bears period one nine in the last 14 was the 2018 might have been the last time. So that's a lot. I think six, six wins, seven wins are still kind of too low to me because the NFL, you're going to win some games. You ain't got no business win. And the team last year won seven games and I still think on paper, this is a better team than last year. So I think that eight nine nine and eight might be something you have to be satisfied with because I think what I'm looking at, I told you, I'm not going to tell you how to fan. And if you still want to be on a 10 win, 11 win train, do your thing play, boy, I ain't mad at you. But me personally, I'm looking at this every week. How does Katis, how does Katis on Rome look, how does Kayla look, right? But if they continue to look, right, they're going to equal more wins because this defense is lights out. So that's why I mean, right? No, I'm absolutely 100% there with you. I think the defense is just really, really good. I cannot even hate on that. I mean, they're getting to the ball fast, even with the defensive line, to me that is below average, they're still managing to get a solid amount of pressure. Andrew Billings is really a solid disruptor, Gervon Dexter, Gervon Dexter, who me and Steve disagree with is being, I think, solid disruptor. He already has two sacks. He finished last year with two and a half sacks. Last year, I don't even know how many tackles for loss he had. He already has more. So I think you're doing a lot, you're doing so much with less. You know, I think they would be another, an edge rusher away and a solid interior away from being the best defense in the league. That's how good I think that's how good I think. This is even with like Tyree Stevens and getting friggin put in a blender, getting this is even with without a, without an other edge. The everybody says, you need to, oh, this, this D line, I've been stepping up. Yeah, that's two sacks a week. And so I think with that defense, where they are, you can keep yourself in a lot of games and put yourself in position to win. So like I said, going back to my point about the freaking the install, I don't think you're in the bad spot. I think you're in the fine spot. Bears just aren't going to do it. The chat is also to our next topic is shot to broke Batman. He says, there's no way even flu goes back next year. Just can't broke Batman. Look at me when I tell you this, my brother, this is never, never, ever, ever, ever, ever say never. He said, bears could avoid all this by not bringing back even flu. You're right. Well, I ever, I don't listen to one thing. I think all Bears fans agree on that they should have not brought this nigga back. Like to me, that was the first mistake. If you're going to go, you know, we getting rid of everybody brand new quarterback, there was no reason why he was come back. Right. You fired 10 when he fired 10 of his assistant coaches who fires 10 assistant coaches in two years and gets to keep their job. Right. Only the Bears. So it should have never happened to begin with, but it did. Right. That's the situation right now. For me, I'm not going to say they're on the hot seat yet. If they lose on Sunday, in the office, looks as bad as it is. And even for still making critical mistakes in the game, that cost this team the game, both of them niggas are on the hot seat. Right. Because why I pose is going to get one more coach. Right. Well, Kevin Warren looks at my eye, nigga. It might be time. You know what I'm saying? So I think that this Sunday is such a massive thing. That's why I feel about the coach there. We're getting to the actual game in a minute. But what do you think about the coach staff in the hot seat? Uh, the only coach I think. Hold on. Hold on. I just want to say this. Hold on. Alex, he said, man, man, look, look at, I hear you. They're not both coming back. If this if this season goes off the rails, they're not bringing that nigga back. You know, they're not because they're Ryan Paul's job is in the line. So yeah, that's why this is not the usual situation. This was the year they were they were giving him a new office coordinator for Ryan Paul's puts his job in the line. And Ryan Paul's is black. And we'll never get a job again if he messes up this situation. Yeah. Yeah. Um, the only coach on things on the high fees by the evil flukes. I think Shane Waldron will at least according to tradition, he'll get another year unless you have, you'd have to have a Jim Harbaugh candidate who's coming and said, I want my own guys outside of that, you're going to stick with who you have. Um, nobody on the defensive side, I think is on the hot seat. And again, unless Harry Washington wants to make a change. So my biggest Chris Morgan would be on the hot seat for me immediately. Again, how that relates to Ryan Paul's. I'm the first one that might get fired mid-season. Ryan, what Brian Paul's talking about that nigga? I would have to say he's probably on the hot seat. If I think about it rationally, this is, you know, uh, Ian Cunningham and Ryan Paul's played on the line. And so they should be near and dear to their heart. So I'm going to assume that they're on the hot, they're on those two people on the hot seat. So about evil flukes Chris Morgan outside of that. No, I think it's just tradition with dictate that you don't do that so quickly to a new coach. Look, man, I really don't think it'd be like that. Yeah, it's the bears, bro. Don't think, don't think it's the bears, my nigga. I think they, they, I believe these niggas don't win 10 games. It might be a problem. But, uh, I'm going to go to the Jeremy Fowler report, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that the bears will be using Roshan Johnson a lot more this weekend. Flukes did not confirm this or flukes did say that they did him Shane Waldron had a film meet with DeAndre Swift. And if you go back and look at the film, a lot of DeAndre still's problems aren't all in the office line. It's like DeAndre still runs into his office of taxes. That's a problem. And if you look at some of the stats from last year, while some people who did have a problem, uh, with, uh, the bear sign him, a lot of people want to say corn, I want to say corn. Uh, but a lot of people upset, not a lot of people. Some people upset about DeAndre Swift sign because, well, 40% of his yards came in three games last year. And if you look at the equals are kind of like the Steelers, the Eagles are running backs are like the Steelers with wide receivers and the 10th Bay Rays with pitchers. If they, uh, get rid of them, they're not going to be good anywhere else. So that's something they look worried about right now. And I think it's interesting as well, because we look at Rochelle Johnson, he looks way better with the carries he got than DeAndre Swift is. So they're not going to completely eliminate DeAndre Swift from the game plan. They paid that negative money. And I'm going to quit on them three games then. But I definitely think you're going to switch how you see, they're going to switch how they use them. He should be more the pass catching. I don't think that's also some things that's kind of weird to me about Shane Walger. He's not up the gut type running back. And they've been used them like that more. Rochelle, uh, we spoke to him in a locker on a day and Rochelle is basically, he's talking like a nigga that knows he's going to get a lot of carriers on Sunday. And this is also another bad run defense in the Rams. So I think that's a good adjustment. High price to her down back was the comment and, uh, very, very interesting. Uh, where's Khalil Herbert? It's a very good question. That's a great question. He's around there. They have a problem right now with just, it's a lot of freaking running back to that room that you're trying to lose. They've used about four running back so far. I've seen Khalil Herbert who cares. DeAndre Swift, Rochelle Johnson, Travis Homer, they've used pretty much their entire backfield right now. Um, for me personally, I think DeAndre Swift was good in, uh, Detroit so much though, so that I was like, "When the world are you trading for? When the world are you getting another running back for?" That being said, they got the Sweden to deal. They got, uh, Jamil Gibbs, David Montgomery, they're doing fine. Uh, DeAndre Swift had a great year last year, but it seems he does struggle with what I call the Joseph Adaijin. If you were Joseph Adai, Joseph Adai would, Joseph Adai would, it's back in the day. That's how I was like I died. The man who was single-handedly responsible for the barrel and having a championship. I feel like I kind of aged myself, but Joseph Adai during the Bears Super Bowl, he was on the Colts. He personally destroyed them. But he had a habit of jumping and cutting immediately at the line and not hitting the hole, just going north and south. Um, and that was in struggle. And DeAndre Swift have shown a little bit of that too, rather than just getting those first down yards, it's like he wants the home run. Whereas if you look at the first couple runs of the game, Roshan hit the hole. Hole was open, holes only last so long in the national football league. He hit it, went, got yards. He looked very successful and unfortunately, Andre didn't. But I think they probably should have been using DeAndre as the second back, much more often. Not second back, but the pass catching versatile back, much more often. He is not safe one where he can do all of those things. He is great in pass catching. In the open field, there are very few backs in the league that I will put with next to him, because he's that good. Um, but yeah, I'm excited to see Roshan deal. I'm no curious, Khalil. I mean, me and Scott had him on the bubble washing and training camp. So we kind of, we knew he wouldn't be used this much. He was cool. Who was he behind? Was he behind Deemo? Yeah, he was behind Deemo. He was cool behind Deemo. That's probably as far as much as I did. I think they got no bursts, bro. We get, we get, we get Dre as props if that's what it stops. You know what I'm saying? That's actually real. Yeah, we get Dre as props. I'm like DeAndre is with us. That's good. But, uh, this to me, man, like, look, just look to your division rivals. Look how the lines use Deemo and, uh, Jamir Gibbs. That's how you should use DeAndre Swift and Roshan Johnson. You know what I'm saying? Khalil, Khalil, just going to be odd, man, out though. I'm tired and hard knocks you right. His hands have been shaky too. There's been a lot of plays with Caleb Dubuis thinking he dropped it. You are correct, but he got to get better on that 100%. But you got to use them like that. It wrote nothing about that fourth and one play that's just so mind-blowing. Roshan wasn't known on, on any four of those plays. Roshan can't get you one yard. Right. You know what I'm saying? Like, that, that play is so game changing because they, they score, they, they win the game. Right. So, yeah, use them like how they use Jamir and Deemo into Troy. You know what I'm saying? That's the way you should do it. And use them the way that DeAndre Swift wasn't just back number one. And Philly, use it that way. And I think that'll help you out a lot. 'Cause I really don't think it's just the soft ones of mine. Now, granted, I know that the rushing yards last year were inflated because Justin was sending profits in them yards. But I just don't believe it's that bad. And if they actually dedicate the run, and I'm just, I didn't notice this on Sunday after the game, it was like, well, we ran it 28 times. Yeah, would you pass the fee three more? Give me more balance. You know what I'm saying? There's various coaches, what I'm just kind of getting my rest. I give him that. I give him that. That's why I said, if we're going to take about, we're going to take a look at this rationally. Waldron did some really good things after that. After that, I really saw some progress. The second half was actually very well played called. Is that the click? I don't know. I don't know if he takes that and then runs with it and becomes a better play caller. Or he goes, okay, I see what I was doing wrong. I do not know. Again, we're being armchair quarterbacks right now. We're saying, oh, you should have did this, should have that in the game. It's much different. You cannot plan for it. We don't, again, remember, you're calling the play. You have to assume what the defense is going to do. You have to, you don't have a Peyton Manning who's going to constantly say, I see what you're doing. Change the play. I will say, Katie was changing the play a lot of the lines, which I appreciate a rookie quarterback taking control of the offense and moving so much. And then on top of that garbage time yards, none of these were garbage time yards. They were down and they were down 21 points. Yeah. Yeah, if there was nine minutes left in those 28 three, I'd say, yeah, that's garbage time. Garbage time is what LeBron does in the fourth quarter of every lucky game where they moves about 20. You know, and then he's, oh, you're 21. Let's give mackering and niggas like niggas, he had 15 when they were getting the doors blown off up. So, you know, this was not that. But yeah, anyway, final topic Sunday, the Bears are home for the first time of three weeks. I'm glad they're home. They'll be home for the next two weeks before we go off to London. We got a lot of content coming out for the yuck coming out for there in London looking, looking, looking forward to that. But this is one of three very wonderful games in a row. But as I said, I think all three of these things looking into bears, like maybe that's a wonderful game too. I'm like a lot of y'all folks. I do not feel good about Sunday. I don't feel good whatsoever. This was a very annoying week in Bears Twitter, and I feel they lose on Sunday. We're going to be at Def Con one to the point where I'm not even going to be looking at Bears Twitter if they lose this game. I don't feel good about it. Sean McVay, you know, this thing about the Bears, bro, they're going to be not even fluent. It's going to be the coaching mismatch in every game for the rest of the year. But these are just as is when Sean McVay arguably is the best coach in the NFL, arguably, like they won that game on Sunday. Andy Reed. I said arguably. That means you know, it's not even arguably the correct answer to Andy Reed. It's not an argument. Okay. I agree with you, but I'm just saying arguably you can make. You can make a case for Sean McVay. No, this is like saying Clyde Drex was arguably the best shooting guard in the league in 92. Yeah. If Michael Jordan didn't exist. Okay. You get what I'm saying. Okay. At worst, he's the second best coach in the league. How about that one? Sure. And best, he's the second best coach. Okay. Best and second. That's because, okay. Anyway, that nigger is like a bill whilst compared to Matt even flew. So I think they won that game on Sunday strictly because of coaching. The Niners had no business losing that game. You know, I don't despite all the injuries that you see the injuries on the Rams. 75% of the team is an IR. I don't even know who Matt Stafford was told to. You know what I'm saying? Like, and they won that strictly because of coaching. So I think the coaching mismatch. I think the fact the Bears ain't at can't score points. Like, I got to see him put up at least 21 points. And I just don't feel confident about that this Sunday. Uh, I know Caleb was up there today, like giving his love to Matthew Stafford. That's one of his favorite quarterbacks. Uh, I will say this, even though his new version of Matt Stafford is amazing, he is such a field that they can go and give us one. He gonna tweak and some about Matthew Stafford when he back in the NFC North, that although he'll give us one, he might give us two. So I'm not really worried about that. I just don't, I can't in good faith. Pick the Bears and win this Sunday. I really, really want you. I hope to God that I am wrong. I want to be sitting up here Sunday night with the Victory Shades on talking about, Amen. We got the first quarter of the season, two or two, couple of winnable games coming up. Let's turn this thing around. Office look good. I just can't in good faith say that. So my final score on Sunday, I'm going to say, and I don't think the Rams going to put it like 30 points. None of this defense is real good. I'm going to say Rams 24. I'm going to say Bears 14. Hmm. I'm going to say, I got the Bears winning this 27.24, 27.24. On the flip side though, I can see 24.14. So but I'm going to go 27.24. I think it will be a game where you'll probably have a defensive touchdown from the Bears because again, Stafford, he tweaks with the Bears because he's a player that the Bears organization knows very well. The 27.24 Bears is going to be my final score. I do not, especially now, if this was Puka and Cooper, we're back. I would say, I'm going Rams 30, 17 or something like that. But now I'm going to hold off on it. I think he's going to struggle. I think the Lions will get to him. And I think we'll see a turnover. So how do you expect since you have 27.24, how do you expect the offense to look this week? I think we'll see a two passing touchdowns from Caleb. And we'll see a rushing touchdown from Roshawn Johnson. And yeah, the other one will come from the defense. The defense will get a touchdown. Whether that be a fumble scoop and score, or it will be a pick six that's going to happen. That's my pick for Sunday. All right, man. Hopefully we get a dub this week.
