If Christians can figure that out…

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.”
 - Jonah 1:2 (KJV)

[MUSIC PLAYING] Nineveh was as corrupt a place as you could imagine. So notice what God said to Jonah, a rise, go to Nineveh that great city and cry against it for their wickedness has come up before me. God was aware of what was happening, and today he's aware of the corruption of the great cities of the world. But what was God's M.O. when it came to wicked Nineveh? He sent Jonah not to condemn, but to call the people to repentance. It's easy to see sin and dismiss a city or a people or a person. But that's not how God handles things. His reaction to Nineveh was to open the door to them to repent. He could have wiped them out, but instead he wanted to bring them up. If Christians can figure that out, that lost people are to be reached and not condemned, that lost people are a mission field. If we can figure that out and really believe it, this world will be a much better place. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written. (gentle music)
