And now, this is the moment you've all been waiting for. It's time for the strength of breakfast for now. It's Friday, September 27th, 2024, and this is the "Stake for Breakfast" podcast, episode 462 and 463. Make sure you're subscribed to the show. It's available across every downloadable podcast on the platform, find us on Apple, Spotify, iHeart, Samsung, or Amazon Podcast. Check out the "Stake for Breakfast" link to take you to the show's Instagram, our latest sub-stack, and verified accounts on Xgetter and True Social. What's up, everybody, and welcome to the first of two big Friday editions of the show today. I'm Ro, and I've got Noah here with me, and as always, there's lots of breaking news. Donald Trump delivered remarks on his economic package out on the campaign trail, both in Georgia and North Carolina this week. We've got a comprehensive recap, highlights, and analysis. Kamal Harris rolls out her economic plan for America, and then meets the press. They both flop. Don't worry. We're going to all have to sit through it together. Melania Trump officially enters the political arena and the race for the White House, and we'll bring you the latest from the Hill as well, and Donald Trump holds a press conference at Trump Tower yesterday. We've got all the highlights and analysis. We've got a great slate of guests coming in here today as well. The Republican, Senator Adam Wisconsin, Ron Johnson will be joining us. And we'll also catch up with the founder of Papa John's, John Schnatter. We'll circle back to the state of Wisconsin and catch up with Congressman Tom Tiffany. Ambassador Carla Sands will be here as well, and we'll round out the show, checking in with one of our favorite Florida men, Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz, but before we get to any of our interviews, let's jump right into these headlines and change the way you consume your news. Okay, this is not nom. This is bowling. They're a rule. All right, everybody. Welcome to the state of records podcast. I'm Ron Noah's here with me. Yo, if you're a first time listener, welcome to the show. If you're a longtime listener, welcome back to America's Fastest Growing. And quickly becoming favorite political podcast on a busy news Friday here. Noah, how are you doing? What's new in your neck of the woods? I'm doing pretty good. It's cool and off. It's not as hot as it was. Okay. A little spike here. Excited, and I have to use the AC for a bit. Nice. So when you're talking about all things related to Forklifter, how's that going? Oh, not too bad. You know, you got to pick it up, put it back down. Mm. Price is our high. Yes. Well, I'm recovering here on my end. I did a little cue seeing, but I couldn't get through too much of our Tuesday editions of the show. I sounded horrible. Yeah, you were sick. Upper respiratory, whatever. It's just breaking up right now. I feel about like 85-ish percent today, but my voice is back. Um, it was just really bad. You know, it wasn't even like a cold flu, like tired achy. It was just like sinus, headache. It hurt to blink. And then like, I had a real cough, which, you know, everybody coughs every once in a while, but it was like one of those cough coughs. Like when you see people coughing and you're like, ugh, that's what I had. Like a lung butter. Yeah, it was not pretty. And we're just getting through the end of it right now. Listen, we want to send all of our thoughts and prayers and well wishes for safety for everyone that's affected right now by the hurricane down in Florida. Obviously Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, everybody in between is getting absolutely hammered with storm surge and record rainfall down there. We want to make sure that everybody's okay. If you're with us today, you're in our prayers, but just make sure that you're staying safe. Because you're not out of the woods yet, just because the sunshine and after a hurricane doesn't mean that everything's okay. You know, you still got downed power lines. You still got water all over the place. And then the storm surge continues after the hurricane even dissipates into a tropical storm and it's gone. But have you seen some of the rain there? It was absolutely ridiculous how high it got. Like seven, eight feet in some areas of the bend in parts of Florida and, you know, a little bit to the east of Tallahassee now. Yeah, that's wild. Well, you know what the first step of being safe in a hurricane is, right? Get away. Get vaccinated. Oh, yeah, I did post that clip yesterday. Everybody make sure you get your hurricane season vaccinations. Your hurricane booster. Joe Biden. I love that that post when people were basically just making fun of it and bringing it back. They fact checked it and said, and the reasoning was that it was A, an old post and B, what was it? Biden was saying that, you know, you should get vaccinated so you don't spread COVID while you're locked in a hurricane shelter together. Yeah. Yeah. That's not even a fact check. Well, I heard Mark Zuckerberg is rebranded. Have you heard about this? His rebranding? Like of him, where he turns into a human. That too. When he molds his skin. Oh, man, Lizardberg, so he's hired some personal coaches and consultants who have been working with them. Okay, this just tells you how bad things look for Kamala Harris right now. Mark Zuckerberg is looking to next year reinvent himself as libertarian. Yeah. I mean, I don't hate it, but I also kind of don't believe it. But when you were the tip of the spear for the censorship industrial complex over the course of the last half decade and now you're going to move to be libertarian who, you know, outside of guns and squishy borders love their free speech. Yeah. Well, I mean, hopefully he's sincere and he's actually having a come to Jesus moment with himself because, I mean, when you are that person and you get to see in the mirror basically what everybody is saying and what people are coming out and just pointing out all your fuckups. You got to be like, if you actually are aware enough, like, I mean, it's kind of just become aware, apparently, sure, then you're going to realize that you are the bad guy. You are the weakest link. And to me, it's a sure sign that Mark Zuckerberg doesn't think that Kamala Harris is going to win the election in November because why not just stay a radical progressive weirdo who just does everything cringey and gets everything he wants from, you know, the swamp up in DC. So I think part of this rebranding, he's also frenemies with Elon Musk. I mean, they have a mutual respect for each other as entrepreneurs. They're going to do the whole fight thing next year when Zuckerberg's all healed up from the knee getting blown out. But, you know, he's probably watched Elon Musk and saw how much he has put at risk of losing by not just moving to the center, but becoming America first. And if Donald Trump is just not your cup of tea, as might be the case with Mark Lizzardberg, maybe moving towards, I mean, he could be like a more weird temple he could wear. I'd seem pulling off a beanie. Well, he went through all that effort to not have his flat front bang robot haircut. I mean, why would you want to cover that up? Oh boy. He's not balding yet. Greetings, fellow barbecue consumers. Oh man, the strategically flavored, yeah, bottle of sweet baby rays. Sweet baby rays. Delicious. I've heard it's delicious. The comp, the compilation of like him saying sweet baby rays like over and over and over again. Yeah. It's like some, it's somebody else. I'm saying that she grew up in a middle class family and she began her career as an up-and-coming prosecutor, which consequently, which part of the story is when she was dating Montel Williams and wearing party dresses? Pre-slurping. Yeah. Well, maybe not pretty, but so it looks like Jeff Clark, our great friend, former two-time assistant U.S. Attorney General, has come to the conclusion that Kamala Harris has never ever prosecuted a major case ever. I've seen from her. Yeah. She may have been in the courtroom, four cases, but she wasn't working them and he can't find anything on record. Now, he's even gone a step further in saying, you know what? I think it's about time we had her collegiate and law school transcripts released to the American public. Let's see, which one of these admins at some college university that she attended, he could butter up to maybe leak some of the trannies. Not the kind you're thinking about, but the transcripts that have her bad grades on it because people are starting to think that she's more of a Joe Biden when it comes to grades bottom of the class. Wouldn't that be public record of her achievements in the courtroom? Funny thing. So much starting with Barack Obama, whenever these people reach a certain level of celebrity within the party, all of these things, they seal them for like 10 years. It's weird. It is. And, you know, Donald Trump has doubled and tripled down. I'm telling you, this man is going to work a fry machine in a McDonald's before we go to the ballot box on election day. He just wants to know which McDonald's it was. He will stop if she admits it. And when you talk about, let's jump into what we're going to do for the news today. So Donald Trump, he started off the weak hammering it on the economy because Kamala Harris, I mean, she rolled out her package, which was like seven minutes of whatever the opportunity economy means. Nobody knows still, even though she physically used words. And then use the rest of the 20 minutes of her 30 minute press conference where she took no questions to hammer Donald Trump. She talked about how tariffs are like a reckless game and more of a concept, even though the Biden Harris administration has kept over 80% of Donald Trump's tariffs in place on places like Russia, Canada, Mexico, all of these China, of course. And you know, then she goes and sits down on this absolutely God forsaken interview on MSD and see. And it's like the lady word salted questions at her. So when she word salted answers back, they just kind of laughed at everything. And there was nothing there. Even the New York Times was like, this is getting really bad. Like we can't just keep doing this. And because this isn't a real race, it's a complete the whole thing is a foul. The whole idea of Kamala Harris, they played so many times on the news this week that like two minute montage of every person from the liberal media trashing her 15 weeks ago. Oh, yeah. When she was the boat anchor that was dragging the Democratic Party down into the depths of the sea, that's what she was up until well, fuck, we got nothing left. I'm also hearing from people that are very reliable sources that the Harris battleground state internal polling that's awful, awful. Anything that is like less than five points at this stage of the race is an absolute disaster. They can't get the labor union. The rank and file members of the largest labor unions in the country, two to one over their management forcing their hands to not endorse. You see blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Jewish community, even evangelicals all coming back and hearing what Donald Trump has to say. And that's what he did this week. I've got clips, we split it because he was in North Carolina and Georgia. And I think we have to bring a little bit of everything because Donald Trump never delivers the same speech twice, which is how many do you think he's done since 2016? No, you think he's over a thousand? It's gotta be. Gotta be. I mean, a thousand would be reasonable for as many rallies and stops as the guy makes. Yeah. What is it? Like, every day almost? He's doing something? He held a press conference at Trump Tower yesterday. He met with Zelensky this morning. Now he's on a plane and he's gonna do two events in two different states this afternoon. I'm like, I can only fit so much into the show. We're pushing Friday back to Monday. And he's got a rally in Wisconsin this weekend. Speaking of which, our guest lineup star studied as usual today. Ron Johnson will be here with constant Republican Senator. We've got a lot to talk about with him, including making America healthy again. In our next segment, following such, and speaking on the economy, we'll have John Schnatter. And he is the founder of Papa John's Pizza. He recently held a very large fundraiser for Donald Trump in the bluegrass state down in Kentucky where he lives. And that'll round out our guest for the first show. We'll start off our second episode, circling back to cheesehead land. And we'll catch up with Wisconsin Congressman Tom Tiffany. Listen, if you've ever seen or attended a Wisconsin Trump rally, Tom Tiffany always speaks beforehand. He usually gets called on stage during the rally by President Trump because they have a great relationship that this man gets fired up like no other. He will bring that fire and fury today and take for breakfast. I know it. Middle interview of the second episode, former ambassador Carlos Sands. Not only did she serve in the last Trump administration, she's working really hard in the Keystone state of Pennsylvania right now to make sure that goes Donald Trump's way on November 5th. We'll round out the shows. We'll round out the week. I think on a pretty high note with one of our favorite Florida men, Matt Gates is back as well. Nice. So we're cranking it out. We do have one rescheduled to next week, but don't worry, she'll be here last minute congressional hearing. And a couple votes have prevented Indiana Congresswoman Aaron Houchin from being here, but she's jumped into next Tuesday shows lineup, which already includes Roger Stone and Tim Burchin as well. So don't you worry. We're here for it. We have an all-star cast of people that come on the show lately. You know, we've been working really hard. I'll say this. I actually had a back and forth text conversation with Speaker Mike Johnson's office this week. They sent an organic text out of nowhere. You know, I send the weekly email. Here's the dates. They reply every once in a while, chits busy, this, that, and the other thing, we'll work it. They said, hey, just want to let you know, we didn't forget about you. We're looking at dates in October, maybe first half of the month. We're going to have the speaker come on the show. It's going to be a great interview. So I'm not holding my breath, but if we get the speaker in house, third in line succession of president when Joe Biden's currently sitting there and come on, Harris is the second option then we might as well just call him like the vice vice president. We call him that instead of the speaker in the house because he technically is. He has an IQ probably higher than both of them put together. I'll tell you that much, probably a given. That's neither here nor there. I just want to have a great non super political conversation. I want to hear about what this experience has been like for Speaker Johnson, him, his family, like alliances he had before you was speaker, how those alliances have changed since he's become a speaker. I want to hear about his relationship with President Trump, which sounds like it's one that President Trump values is they're meeting all the time. It seems like President Trump is friends with Speaker Johnson and his family and he's charged him with some things to do now based off of the current ratio in the house and the way the Senate works with Chuck Schumer has been able to get much done. But you know what? I had a little pre game pre interview discussion with Tom Tiffany today and he kind of paints the picture on why just getting through this session of Congress and focusing solely on November 5th, which is kind of the task of our show here is the way to go. I mean, whatever's messed up is already messed up hypothetically outside of like World War 3 starting, nothing could technically get worse and we just got to suck it up, put our heads down and much like the people in Florida right now bear the grunt of the storm and make sure we're doing everything we need to do to win on November 5th, consequently 39 days away. No, believe it or not, we're under 40 days already. It's wild. I know. You know, it's like every week on the show, like by next Friday, we're a month away. I'm starting to get a little, uh, an anxiety, not nervousness. It's like excitement. Yeah. I'm feeling very 20, 16 train. We got to worry more as time gets near. Like, I mean, are they going to start flooding a, uh, a decoy Trump force one? Hmm. I saw that Donald Trump had some choice words for Iran this week. We're going to bring you and get you all caught up on that as well. I'm trying to think of what else. Listen, top to bottom, when you're done listening to our two Friday editions of the show, you'll be able to get through the weekend and not have to think about news again until the Sunday morning new circuit. So let's jump right into this Donald Trump first in Savannah, Georgia, which he wants to turn back into a manufacturing hub for the United States talking about, well, what else would he be talking about? What life would be like under comrade Kamala Harris? Let's listen. Kamala. There will be no car industry, no steel industry, no significant manufacturing of any kind. And we will be at risk of military defeat. You know that. A very simple fact is this, if you don't have steel, you don't have a military and I'm not going to allow it. I said it before and I'll say it again. And I got along with a great gentleman, Shinzo Abe, and he's assassinated, he was a great gentleman. But I said, Shinzo, we have to change our trade deal. And he said to me, I knew you were going to come with that. I said, well, why did you know he said, for 25 years, no American has said that to us. They got away with murder, and we changed the deal, and the deal we now have is really good, but the deal we're going to have is going to be beyond belief with every, not just with Japan, with every company and every, every, frankly, with their companies and with their nations. I'm not going to allow Japan to buy you a steel. I'm not going to let it happen 70 years ago, again, the greatest company on Earth. Listen. Outside of his commentary, I have to say the best failed assassination attempt memes are the, like the Kung Fu Panda, which Shinzo Abe, like on the little island saying, oh, Trump's on, turn to the left, no further to the left, you still have work to do. When do I see you again soon, but not now, they're the best. Oh, man, he misses them. He talks about them all the time, you know, whether it's that iconic picture of Trump and, and Shinzo and a couple other of our allies with their arms folded in the face of the European Union or just some off-color hot mic video of them goofing around on the golf course. Those guys had a real relationship where they were both dialed in to making their countries the absolute best that they could be. And listen, Donald Trump summed it up in a great way last week. If we keep outsourcing our steel to places like Japan or even China, what's going to happen when we go to war with one of these countries, namely China, it's going to be like, oh, can we buy steel off of you to buy munitions to bomb you with? They're going to tell you hell no. So it's okay that some stuff, I guess, comes in from outside of the United States. But when you talk about American manufactured steel down in Georgia, up in Pittsburgh, places in the Rust Belt, you got to keep it here. It's what the backbone of this country was built on. We're given way too much of our natural resources away to other countries in China. I mean, I was listening to something else. And there was reporting that Chinese companies are buying agricultural land and stripping the topsoil and shipping it to China. Yep. Like, that's ridiculous. It's crazy. Like, that shit just doesn't come back. Like, that's thousands of years worth of natural shit that's happening that you can't just recreate that off the cuff if you need to, you know, spring into farming and manufacturing and getting food on the table when the stakes are even higher, no pun intended. I like it. And listen, Donald Trump wants another agricultural boom in this country. You can't do it if China's buying up all of our farmland. And then we're outsourcing, you know, steel manufacturing to places like Japan and China. That's another issue that Donald Trump has really hit home. And I think it's led to a lot of the non-endorsement for the Democrats or even in some cases endorsements for people like Donald Trump. That's the auto workers all the way up in the Rust Belt, Michigan and Wisconsin all the way down to Savannah, Georgia. Auto manufacturing is something that is critical and key components to the state's economic successes. Donald Trump had a message directly to the auto workers in Michigan, Georgia, and beyond let's hear it. To the auto workers in Michigan, Georgia, and all other parts of our country, I am pinpointing you for greatness. Your industry has been decimated by many decades of incompetent leadership, both political and at your company level. You had presidents of your company that sold out our country. They didn't know what they were doing. They were horrible. And you had politicians. I don't know when he says that. China is right now building major auto plants in Mexico. Did you know that? They were going to start with me. I said, "No, if you do them, I'm putting a 200% tariff on every car." And they decided we'll pass, and they said, "Wow, now we can build that Trump. We won't have to worry about him anymore. Oh, here I am. Here I am. You missed me, fuckers." Here I am. We're leading. We're leading. We're leading by a lot. We're leading by a lot. They said, "Oh, we don't have to worry about him. Oh, no, they have to worry about me. That's why they don't like me." They used to like Obama. They used to like Biden. They liked Biden. You know why? Because they got away with murder. That's why they liked Biden. They liked Biden. Why would you like Biden, except that you took advantage of him? They took advantage of him. They think they're going to sell their cars into the United States and destroy Michigan and South Carolina and North Carolina and Georgia and all of the places that make autos not going to happen. We will put a 100 percent tariff on every single car coming across the Mexican border. And tell them the only way they'll get rid of that tariff is if they want to build a plant right here in the United States with you people operating that plant. We want American citizens and we want their plants built here. Not two feet over the border and selling them into our country. We're not doing that. We don't do that anymore. Yeah, I used to think when he said industry, I thought that was like a weird like he read it wrong on the teleprompter, but I guess that's just how he does it. Yeah, yeah. He's got a couple words that he has kind of branded his own. And you know, listen, you might not get the union bosses to jump in on this idea because they don't care. They're in the 1 percent. They give themselves 500 percent races every couple of years. All the line workers who aren't getting outsourced to other countries are getting marginal 2 percent raises every five or six years to keep up with the rapid pace of losing your house and going bankrupt. Here's the deal. He means what he says. He did it in his first term. I think he understands the way the game is played now. You might not have to see these ridiculous tariffs, but it is the carrot that's going to listen. Mexico is going to have enough problems on day one because Donald Trump is going to absolute war with the cartels. That is 100 percent guaranteed in the story. So if they want to get into some kind of a trade war with the United States, it won't bode well for them as, you know, fentanyl manufacturing facilities and beachfront properties are getting vaporized on a daily basis, starting on January 21st of 2025. So, you know, they got to pick their poison. I think when at the end of the day, if the cartels are going to be out of the way, they might want to keep some of their money. So they need to start having those manufacturing plants not being built in Mexico and they need to have those cars being built in the United States by American workers. One of the biggest and key components to Donald Trump securing Georgia on November 5th is the collaborative effort that's going to come down the road and unfold over the course of the next 39 days between him and sitting governor Brian Kemp. They haven't seen eye to eye for years. They've been at each other's throats figuratively for just as long. It seems like recently Brian Kemp is ready to suck it up at least in some context and help Donald Trump try to win back the peach state in this election. You know, it was a love letter back and forth on Twitter and true social between the two after Brian Kemp did a pretty good interview for in support of Donald Trump on Boomer Sweats, Sean Hannity show a few weeks ago, here's the deal. For me, I need to see those two at a rally together. I need to see Governor Kemp take the stage after Donald Trump calls him up, do a real non-stage looking handshake and him to say, honestly, what he thinks Donald Trump's going to do to help Georgia and make America great again. He's got to bend the knee a little bit and I get it. They're just two different kinds of politicians, Kemp's more of the old guard, Trump's obviously trying to destroy it, but Kemp has a lot of potential value moving forward whether or not after his term as governor, he wants to go to be a U.S. senator or maybe even run for president in 2020 and I have no idea, but he's not going to get anything if he doesn't do this over the course of the next 39 days and that's just the fact of the matter. Donald Trump's continuing to take the high road and speak supportively of the Georgia governor that's here. Under my leadership, we help deepen the port. You know that, we help deepen the port once and now I understand they want to do it again and we will get in and we will get that done very quickly. We'll work with your governor and we're going to get that done very quickly. Trump will be a major undertaking involving the Army Corps of Engineers and transportation officials throughout your state. It's going to happen fast. This will happen so fast. You're going to say, gee, I thought he just said we're going to do it. You know, we have a strength over environmental impact statements. Sometimes they'll delay a project for 20 years, 25 years. With me, I think if it takes more than a month to get an approval, my people are not doing a very good job. All right? We'll get it done very quickly. With a world-class port and a world-class workforce, this city will soon become one of the premier export hubs anywhere on earth, tripling and quadrupling traffic as your power. We'll lead an American manufacturing boom. We're going to have a manufacturing boom. I love it. Just think no refitting Savannah, which is already a pretty big industrial hub. I think it's the third or fourth ranked seaport in the entire country right now. I think moving forward, what do you think? Does Donald Trump have to have some kind of physical in-person collaborative effort with Brian Kemp? Does he have to? Yeah. He doesn't have to do shit, but I mean, you know, some things will help. Some things won't. Yeah. I mean, it's so weird. You always see these weird ticket items, like in the last election, the midterms, like how do you vote for, let's just say, the Republican governor and Senator John Federman instead of Dr. Oz? It's almost the same case with Donald Trump and Brian Kemp. It's like, how do you love both of these guys? I don't know. Brian Kemp just gives off this like, homely Georgia, dad-ish vibes. A lot of people like, you know, outside of the back country, he thinks it's kind of a fake facade. I mean, he did do that video one time where he pretended, you know, he was chopping all this wood with a chainsaw and he's like, oh man, just finished all this yard work. He didn't have one piece of sawdust on him. There's no chain on the chainsaw. Yeah, one of those deals. But it's just like, at the same time, you know, it's time to swallow your egos. And listen, this is the last dance. Much like the new Venom movie that's coming out in a couple of weeks as well. Even though I do kind of like the guy who does Venom, I wish he wasn't not going to do him anymore, however. Same thing for Donald Trump. I don't potentially think he has any care to run another four-year race to serve four years after that in the White House, God forbid things don't go this way or our way November 5th. So, I mean, then you put him well into his mid-80s. Yeah, no, I don't think he's got the mileage for that. No. And listen, you see him with his grandkids? His adult children are like in their primes. He probably wants to spend some of the time he has left in this planet enjoying them as he should for the successful life that he's had. Last clip I've got from Savannah is Donald Trump's pitch, his deal, if you will, to all the workers and citizens in the Peach State Let's Hear it. I will be offering to every major company and manufacturer on Earth. I will give you the lowest taxes, the lowest energy costs, the lowest regulatory burden and free access to the best and biggest market on the planet, but only if you make your product here in America. It all goes away if you don't make your product here and hire American workers for the job. If you don't make your product here, then you will have to pay a tariff, a very substantial tariff when you send your product into the United States. By the way, for years they knocked the word "tariff," properly used, is a beautiful word. One of the most beautiful words I've ever heard, it's music to my ears, a lot of bad people didn't like that word, but now they're finding out I was right. And we will take in hundreds of billions of dollars into our treasury and use that money to benefit the American citizens, and it will not cause inflation, by the way. And you know, I took in from China hundreds of billions of dollars in taxes and tariffs, and I had no inflation. We didn't have any inflation, 1.2 percent. We had essentially no inflation. Now you've had, over the last four years, you've had the highest inflation, I think, in the history of our country. Somebody said, "No, sir, it's only 58 years." Well, that's pretty bad, too. I think it's really in the history of our country. This is the policy that built America, and this is the policy that is going to save America, is going to save us, because we have gone so far down in so many different ways. Not to mention, not to mention the border, not to mention 21 million people pouring in from places unknown, totally unknown. Oh, it's 21 million. But like I've always called it, because it's a very beautiful and simple term, it's called America first. Maybe you've heard of it, maybe you've heard of it, Noah? Yeah, I'd like to hear more of it. We will. I am very optimistic that we will. We're running the race that we need to run. You know how I know that? Not only the Kamala Harris going down to the border, which means her internals are absolutely through the floor, I also saw some of the people who want to nitpick things that Donald Trump is doing on the campaign trail and then make targeted attacks on social media at his campaign staffers. That's when you really know you're doing a good job, because the access is at zero, so you can't even get the leakers leaking anymore, because they've trimmed the fat so much, the people that are, especially with the up security risks to Donald Trump, the people that are with him every day, and he's added a couple of them. I see that. I don't know if anybody else has noticed it's listening to the show, but Ambassador Rick Renell is now again traveling with the president in a more extended context. He was at Trump Tower with him yesterday during the speech. He did a little Newsmax last night, and now he's going to be on the plane with him today. We're down on Trump to set to deliver remarks up in Michigan in just a bit, but that's neither here nor there. This was an economic policy-driven delivering of remarks that not only referenced the successes he had in his first administration talked about how they would be even more successful than another one. The only thing he missed, which he might have delivered in a clip that I didn't hear, it all starts with energy. That's how you could do the tariffs. If you're energy independent, moving towards energy dominant again, the price of everything goes down, everything, and then you don't have to worry about taxes and tariffs on foreign entities causing inflation here in the United States because we're producing our own energy instead of getting it at $90 a barrel, $100 a barrel from people that are just trying to make our country not great again. So take that into consideration as a big component of day one policies that'll start to be. Drill Baby Drill, he says, happened in the day he signs his inauguration. I believe that that's going to happen as well. He's still in pipelines coming back in addition to a lot of other places, especially in the Northwest that he knows there is probably more oil up there than there is in Saudi Arabia times five, and he's going to cut through all the red tape and make sure we get drill in there. Fuck the polar bears. That's what I have to say about that. Guys, wherever you're listening to the show today, welcome. You'll never miss out on all the great stuff we've got going on down here at stake for breakfast. Like our interview that's coming up in just a bit with Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson. We're going to be talking about making America healthy again, something he's been at the forefront of since the pandemic and beyond. So Donald Trump would go from Savannah, Georgia to Mint Hill, North Carolina, another manufacturing hub there, known for components of the auto industry. Also, no, I don't know if you knew this, but North Carolina is one of the exclusive places in America where they make what's left of the furniture that gets built here, stateside. That's the place. Huge furniture manufacturing going on in North Carolina. I wouldn't have known this if I didn't live there for a year in the late 90s. And while I was there, learned that it was like the furniture manufacturing capital of America. They also have huge agriculture, of course, big tobacco still down there in some context. But before Donald Trump would segue to the economy, he had to talk about some developing. Items over the course of the week. Listen, right before Donald Trump took the stage, it broke across the wire earlier that morning. I'll read you a statement from the Trump campaign, President Trump was briefed earlier today by the office of the director of national intelligence regarding real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him in an attempt to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States. Those officials have identified that these continued and coordinated attacks have heightened in the past few months, and law enforcement officials across all agencies are working to ensure President Trump is protected, and the election is free from interference. That's bullshit. Put a pin in that. We'll pick that up directly after the start of our second show after our Tom Tiffany interview. Make no mistake, the terror regime in Iran loves the weakness of Kamala Harris and is terrified at the strength and resolve of President Trump. We will let nothing stop him or get in his way to fight for the American people and Noah. Make America great again. How do you know that comes from what he was always for? Oh, racist. That comes from the desk of Stephen Chong, Trump campaign communications director. So Donald Trump would have some words for Iran. He would actually have some word for everybody that has been taking shots at him both literally and figuratively lately. You know, there's one thing Donald Trump's ever going to do. It's called backing down the turret. Around the world, our enemies are desperate to prevent Donald Trump from returning to the White House because they know I will make America great again. They don't want that. Four years ago, our country was feared and respected, and our country will soon be feared and respected again. We have to have that. And that's why we all need to pull together to thwart these attempts and to bring back American strength, power, and prestige. We will soon have it back. No threat will shake me. No enemy will intimidate me. And I have never been more determined than I am today, and I will never back down in my fight to make America great again, which is what we're doing. Pretty fiery way to start things off. Now Donald Trump, listen, we still don't know essentially anything, and Donald Trump's going to get into this a little bit. He's starting to call out the bullshit, especially from the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the FBI, organizations that have worked to persecute and prosecute him for essentially the last eight years, starting with Russiagate, you know, the Mueller investigation, and Peachman hoax one and two, you name it. They got their hands all over it. Somebody comes in, commits a crime. They're of a certain demographic, doesn't matter what, boom, they're in the phone, they're in the apps. If the narrative of the deep state is this person was bad, you know everything about them instantly from the time they were born until the time they died, or were killed or, you know, captured. In this case, we're now like eight weeks out of the Butler assassination attempt. They're still, I guess, four cell phones with half a dozen encrypted apps that they just can't get into when we know they can. Yeah, that's a cop out. Oh, he's got us beat. He has one, two, three, four, five as the passcode. We couldn't figure it out. Not only that, you have the other second assassination attempt from West Palm Beach, the Trump golf course down there from two weeks ago. That guy had publicly established ties with Ukraine. And we all know that the government there all wanting their hand out. Remember, Cookie Monster's leaving the United States this weekend, $10 billion richer than when he got here. So maybe there's some connection there. Donald Trump's getting sick of it though. He wants answers. He wants transparency. The American people haven't gotten it either. It's here. As you know, there have been two assassination attempts of my life that we know of, and they may or may not involve, but possibly do Iran. But I don't really know, can't be sure, because in the first case in Butler, Pennsylvania, a great place. And we're going back to Butler, by the way, we're going to go back and finish our speech. The FBI has been unable to open the three potentially foreign-based apps. And in the second case, the assassin had six cell phones in his car, yet the FBI has likewise been unable to penetrate their guard, shouldn't be tough to do. They want to know, and I want to know, and the whole country, and maybe the world wants to know, who is he calling, who is he calling? In the old days, the FBI and the DOJ used to capture people before anything happened. In current days, the upper echelon of the FBI is all talk while they focus on the sitting president's political opponents, that's what they're doing. They spend so much time, we won the case in Florida, it's all a big scam, it's all against a political opponent, me, who's doing better in the polls than anybody else, and should be hopefully able to recapture the presidency in 41 days and make our country great again, but all they focus on is their political opponent. Obvious frustration, he wants to get it right, but here's the deal, you know, we're talking about what's going on with Iran. Did you see the video that came out that the imam of Iran shared on his social media? You know, tens, if not hundreds of millions of followers, like two days ago, know what the drone? What did he send? He put out a like an AI generated video of like, I did see that, yeah, yeah, with like the Johnny five robot that is able to infiltrate Mar-a-Lago and then, you know, drop a bomb on Donald Trump, always golfing with people. Yeah, I saw that, but it was like, it wasn't very realistic because there's no fucking way that the grass on a Trump's golf course has would have been that ratty. I like where you're going with that one, but again, the whole right alongside the video, the whole corresponding theme was revenge for the death of Salmani. And much like you see in the nation of Israel, these radical jihadists in the Middle East, they don't frequently, you know, when they're not getting splattered and turned into a shadow. Forget, and they hold grudges for a long time. And it's the complacent nature. And again, we're going to cover this after our, we were setting up a little timeline here. Once we talked to Tom Tiffany and he tells you exactly what's going on in Wisconsin this week. We've got some corresponding information from Senator Hawley as well that's going to confirm it. But Donald Trump had some choice words for Iran. I think it's right up there with fire and fury and things that the world weapon wise has never seen before. Let's hear it. But if I were the president, I would inform the threatening country, in this case Iran, that if you do anything to harm this person, we are going to blow your largest cities and the country itself to smithereens. We're going to blow it to smithereens. You can't do that. And there would be no more threats. Anybody what he means? Yeah. Interesting way to start off an economic driven delivering our remarks. But here we go. Listen, you got to take the good with the bad and when you see the stuff that's coming from Iran right now, it's definitely not good. So Donald Trump put out a post on actually Twitter right after this speech, big threats on my life by Iran. The US military is watching and waiting. Moves were already made by Iran, but that didn't work out. But don't worry, they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone. I am surrounded by more men, guns and weapons than I have ever seen before. Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money for secret service, zero no votes strictly bipartisan. Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something. An attack on a former president is a death wish for the attacker. So it's interesting there is no no votes. There's always some fucking curmudgeon that's up there voting no on everything. Well I think some of the curmudgeoners were off the hill because it was only 405 to 0. I think two or three people voted present and then there was close to 30 not there. I guess it would look really bad if you're going to vote no at that point. Yeah, I think so. So Donald Trump would jump into the economic policies where he talked about reinvigorating the port of Savannah and harnessing the American manufacturing sector and American energy. He would talk about some of the other things. Listen, Donald Trump's whole game plan this week was to go out ahead of Kamala Harris and every time she was going to say something that's a lie, he was going to say, this is what the truth is, this is what they're going to say and this is why it's bullshit. First off in the best example is the tariffs. They talk about tariffs or reckless concepts that don't work and cause inflation. Donald Trump comes back in a few sets, then why are over 80% of all the tariffs I enacted still on the books and kept by your administration? These are the questions that should have been asked during the presidential debate instead of questions like, Donald Trump, you started January 6, worst day in the history of days. How do you take responsibility for that and he's like, what in Kamala Harris is like, oh, can't wait to answer this one, this is easy. Just make up whatever I want to say and it's going to be the truth. But no, we didn't get policy, we got bullshit and that's why we're probably not going to have another debate either. Donald Trump talks about China taking our lunch for decades and how big of a piece of crap deal NAFTA was, let's check it out. Enter the twin betrayals of NAFTA, which I ended, and China's entry into the WTO world trade, North Carolina lost over 300,000 manufacturing jobs, quickly including 60% of its furniture manufacturing jobs and that number was going up until I came along. No one in Washington ever cared until me. In four short years I ended NAFTA, the worst trade deal ever made and replaced it with the USMCA, considered the best trade deal ever made, kept you in business and I stood up to China like never before, including by imposing a 22% tariff on all Chinese furniture imports, saving the North Carolina furniture industry what was left of it, because when I got there, you were in bad shape. But I saved the rest of the industry from total obliteration, just like. It's the truth because leading up to Donald Trump coming into the Oval Office and winning the White House in 2016, the five years prior to that, there was over 300,000 furniture manufacturing jobs that didn't exist anymore in North Carolina when he took office, that were there five years before. And all of this work was being outsourced to China for, you know, fake wicker and Famaica board, where some of the furniture that's crafted in North Carolina, and listen, no, I know you're a hobbyist, I know you have a little bit of a fanfare for antiques. You walk into some of these furniture stores. This is some of the stuff. If it's not antiques from the error of the 13 colonies, it's replicas of it, but still like 100 years old. I mean, I'm talking about everything from like those big armed chairs where it's like all the wood looks like the bottom of a banister on both arms, all the way up to like real roll top desks, just absolutely fantastic craftsmanship. But it's again, a craftsmanship that's getting erased out of American culture, and we need to bring it back to make our country successful again. You know, we talk a lot of stuff that is going to be forgotten when the next decade of the old timers pass on, I mean, there's knowledge that's going to just go away because people aren't learning it. Yeah, it's the truth. The auto manufacturing industry is one of them as machines, if not outsourcing, is replacing the industry and its totality. And then, you know, the whole things are computers and sensors now. So you might even see 50 years of mom and pop auto garages might not be even something that exists anymore. I just think it's a possibility, yeah. So but, you know, Donald Trump did the same thing in North Carolina he did in Georgia. He challenged the workers of the states to look at the policies that he's presenting and what Kamala Harris is not presenting. And they have to be able to make a decision because they know a vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for the end of the industry. Let's hear it. So to the workers of this state, when you hear Kamala Harris attack my tariffs today, you wouldn't have anything left at this state if I didn't do what I did. This building would be now shuttered, closed, empty, no jobs, and now it's thriving. We're going to do the same thing on a very large scale for our country. We're going to make our country something that nobody thought it was even possible. Just remember, Kamala's not attacking me, she's attacking your furniture job, she's attacking your community, she's attacking your factories, and she's trying to send all of those jobs to China with everything else, and we're not going to let that happen. Because you got to remember, for the, let's just say, furniture manufacturing industry to survive, that doesn't seem like it lines up too good with the Green New Deal stuff. I mean, we can't save the environment if we're turning it into furniture, God forbid. People have to be able to use their brains here and know when they're about to lose everything they got. Donald Trump will begin to wrap up his remarks by staying on hammering Kamala Harris and talking about continuing to keep jobs in America while she will do nothing, but outsourcing. You also have to remember, he did give her a new title last week at the rally, you know what it was? He's given her a couple. I don't know what the most recent one was. This is the royal version. Oh, the queen of taxes or something? Tax queen. Right, she's the borders are, she's the godmother of illegal immigration and sanctuary cities, and she's now the tax queen. Of course, he was going to hit that one because if it makes us laugh, it must make the common worker laugh as well, let's hear it. By contrast, listen to the deal that Kamala Harris is offering to companies to keep jobs in America. Here's the tax queen, they call it the tax queen because he's a big tax raiser. He's demanding a 33% tax hike on all domestic production. That means those companies are leaving, that's all it means. You know, these are companies that are smart and they owe it to their shareholders or their families or whoever owns a company, they'll leave, they have to leave. So she wants to increase their taxes, they're already leaving and she wants to increase. That means they're gone. Do we agree to North Carolina? The ladies of North Carolina agree, that's not a tough one though, you've had tougher questions than that. No, they want to, she wants to raise the taxes on businesses so now they can all leave. Next she wants the largest capital gains tax in the history of our country and then she is promising a brand new wealth confiscation tax or unrealized capital gains tax. In other words, unrealized, you know what that means? That means you know a lot of people are rich but they don't have cash because they're spending it in their business and other things. That means they're going to have to sell their business in order to get cash because she's taxing you and you haven't done anything. The only one going to make a lot of money are going to be the appraisers, the accountants and the lawyers that will drive our country into a depression like in 1929. They're even worse because the way I look at it is that would be the end of the middle class. Kamala Harris' tax proposals would be the end of the middle class in this country. There will be no recovery because you'll have nothing. You're taxed into oblivion and then everything you physically have you have to get rid of for cash but then you're getting taxed on the back end for that too. We will all be poor forever and America will never be the same. So you know strong warnings from Donald Trump but again those warnings and contrasts are sprinkled over legitimate policies that worked during his first term and ones that he sees evolving in a lot of different ways heading into a second. So if we're getting ready to wrap here and jump in with Senator Ron Johnson I've got one left and that's Donald Trump wrapping up his remarks down in North Carolina talking about what the election needs to be I think we all know it too big to rig let's hear it. So get everyone you know and vote we want a landslide that's too big to rig very simple too big to rig. On November 5th we will save our economy will save our country it will go down as the most important day in the history of our country we will rescue our middle class we will reclaim our sovereignty and restore our borders we will put America first all the time and we will take our country back. North Carolina get out to vote thank you God bless you and God bless America thank you very much everybody. Alright no I'll be honest what do you think we're not rating this because in a rally it was double remarks delivering but even though it's not the most exciting of topics everyone was a lot more happier when Donald Trump was the president because of his economic plan and platform both foreign and domestic you think he's hitting it hard enough to be able to make it stick November 5th. We're going to leave it at that as we're getting ready to jump in with Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson right now but before we do a first check in with one of our partners. Alright, joining us next on the show today is a big Friday edition of the State for Breakfast Podcast. He's the Republican Senator from the great state of Wisconsin, joining us again, Senator Ron Johnson. Welcome back to the show. Thanks for having me on. Always a pleasure sir. We've got a lot of stuff to talk about. One of the things outside of the cycle which I think is very important and we need to start emphasizing on is we're getting closer and closer to election day is clarifying the real issues for America. One of them is making America healthy again. I know you were probably excited to see the collaborative efforts between Donald Trump and R.K. Jr. on the campaign trail. But even before we get into that, I do want to talk about the webinization of some of the topics that are outside of the kitchen table that Democrats are trying to make the forefront and the focus of the upcoming November election. That's abortion. You know, Donald Trump was a promises made, promises kept president. He did a really good job in, you know, appointing the Supreme Court justices who were nominated and confirmed. They overturned Roe v. Wade. They sent the decision on abortion and abortion rights back to the states. The Democrats kind of weaponized that and harnessed the narrative as reproductive freedom. We kind of joke with that on the show. It seems like to be the opposite when you're talking about abortion, you know, throughout the course of their national convention. And now as we come out onto the campaign trail, instead of really hitting it hard and doing interviews on things like the economy, safety and security in the streets, border security and geopolitical footing, they want to kind of make the centerpiece of their talking points to the American public as abortion. You know, we saw in a Senate hearing this week some really nasty rhetoric, it's endangerment to women. In my opinion, I think it is yours as well. And I kind of want you to lead in with our listenership talking about this issue, Senator, because as we get closer and closer to election day, we really need to clarify what the Democrats plan is in trying to make abortion in the forefront of their campaign platform. Well, first of all, they haven't just kind of weaponized it. They fully weaponized this that the title of the hearing was as disgusting and offensive as it was dangerous. In fusion and chaos, Trump has weaponized women's health. So that they had witnesses. One said that, you know, there's pandemonium and women are bleeding out and parking lots. Fortunately, Senator Crapal's staff came up with two excellent witnesses, a doctor and attorney who was able to refute all the charges. There's not a doctor who's been prosecuted for providing women's health in the case, for example, of a miscarriage, but that's their claim that women are having miscarriages and they're going without care. Well, if they're going without care, it's because of the chaos and confusion Democrats are sowing with these kind of hearings and these kind of false accusations that they will be prosecuted. They will be put in jail. It's completely false. And so again, no, it's just galling. It is grotesque. Again, just the lies and let's face it, the entire terrorist campaign is nothing but a pack of lies and it's just disgusting. You know, and it goes into the same thread as voter suppression. I'm still waiting for the first clear cut, modern day example of voter suppression going on here in the country. The Democrats will often weaponize like voter registration, things like the SAVE Act as being part of voter suppression. They're doing the same thing with abortion now, you know, for those who don't understand what Donald Trump did in the appointment of the Supreme Court justices who overturned the Dobs decision and sent that back to the state, a more federalist way of looking at it. It gives the people more opportunity and on a more frequent basis than just having what Democrats call federal protection. We all know that that's also a fallacy in its entire narrative as well. In regards to abortion rights, it gives them the opportunity every two years. In some cases, one, but at least every four to vote on these things and have legislation pushed in their states to make what they call medical care more accessible to women. And like you had mentioned, these instances that they're talking about where they say, you know, women are bleeding out and parking lots, doctors are running in fear of their lives that they would be jailed, taken out of the emergency room and thrown in prison for performing some of these things. It's just not true. And as we were heading closer and closer to election day, we're going to be, you know, under 40 days away by the time the show airs, it just seems that the issues that are really affecting Americans, the economy, the border, geopolitics, et cetera, are the ones that are really resonating to the forefront. And the Democrats are trying to beat this dead horse on abortion rights. And I think it's going to, in my opinion, backfire them, but I'd like you to weigh in a little bit as well. Well, you know, first of all, the extreme position on abortion is held by Democrats who want no restrictions whatsoever. Some of them have even posed a lot in a live-born child to go without care and expire. That is the extreme position. I asked one of the Democrat witnesses, an OBGYN. I said, is there any point during a pregnancy where you believe that little baby, the society has a responsibility to protect the life of that little baby in the womb? And she starts just giving me a bunch of gobbledygook, which means, you know, no, they are willing to allow abortions up to the moment of birth. I also talked, I couldn't play the clip in Senate Finance hearing, but there's a clip that's less than middle long of somebody calling into a late-term abortion clinic claiming to be 34 weeks pregnant. And it is abhorrent to listen to the person on the other side to, oh, yeah, we do it all the time. This is how we go about doing this. You know, it is just grotesque. Check it out. You know, we'll supply it to you for your listeners. It's grotesque. Of course, they deny this. Oh, we don't do late-term. Yes, they do commit infanticide. They do. They just won't admit it. The mainstream media backs them up that they take a look at any reasonable restriction. They're like 20 weeks or 15 weeks or 12 weeks calling them abortion ban. No, it's simply trying to protect life at some certain point, realizing society has that responsibility to protect life at some point of a little baby inside the womb. That's reasonable. That's what most people agree with, but the legacy corporate media won't lay out the truth of this issue and they allow Democrats to get away with their lies. So how do you think it is that the Democrats have gotten to this point in time where, you know, when you're talking about the big issues for the party, this is one of the top ones for them? I mean, we've heard of all the other things. We've seen it outlined in the Biden-Harris administration over the course of the nearly last four years. That's the destruction of American manufacturing in every component, whether it be industrial or all the way up through the automotive. It's ending energy production here in the United States. It's harnessing and weaponizing green new policies that are destructful to the economy. Obviously, we've seen what it's done to inflation. And then this, you know, as a party, let's just say a couple of decades ago, that was stumping on things that are a lot different than they're stumping on now. It seems like the way that they've kind of, you know, rounded out their campaign platform and presentation to the American people is that they don't even have to try anymore. There's no more debates. They can pretty much hide candidates in the basement for an entirety of a cycle. We're in the second one at the presidential level for that and they just gotten lazy and this is like one of the dog whistles that they apply to their constituents or do you think it's something more and that the radical Marxist and divisive policies that they like to push are the ones that they feel are going to eventually get a majority in this country that they're never going to be able to have to give up. Now, listen, this is the culmination of their master stroke, which occurred in the 60s when the radical left took over our university system. Good point. And so now we don't graduate journal anymore. We graduate advocates for the left, you know, too many indoctrinators rather than teachers. And of course, too many activist lawyers who become, you know, usual activists on the bench. So again, this is a culmination of decades worth of their effort. They are relentless and now they get away with a big lie. And unfortunately, the big lie or the big lies, it's very effective. I mean, when you can convince and then be backed up by the legacy media that Republicans literally want to take away women's health care or we literally want to take away your contraceptive or we're opposed to in vitro fertilization where I'm not aware of any Republicans ever that supposed to IVF, I have two wonderful grandchildren because of IVF. So we're obviously not a poster. We just don't want to impose that on people who have a moral objection to it. You know, like Catholic hospitals and stuff, and of course, that's what Democrats always do. They put poison pills in. Then when you vote against their poison pill bill, what are their opposed to IVF? No, we're really not. And they get away with that lie time and time and time again, which is why I blame the legacy corporate media for the really, again, the Democrats are at fault here, but they're enabled and facilitated by the mainstream media, their corruption, their complicity. You know, when you look at some of the other issues close to those, but not into the generic politics of the top table items that Donald Trump's been running on, the addition of people like RFK Jr. to the ticket, the continuing widening of the Republican 10, adding people like Tulsi Gabbard, Elon Musk along the way, people who overtly weren't for Republican politics. And Donald Trump in the last election cycle and those who want to bring, you know, kind of different items than the Republicans typically offer in this election cycle for Donald Trump and his campaign as well. I mean, it has to be someone who's who listen, you push back hardest, I think, than anybody up in Washington, D.C. on the entire COVID narrative, you continue to work very hardly on bringing truth in the transparency to the American public about what really happened in the medical industrial complex to our country during the pandemic as well, Senator. And then when you see somebody like RFK Jr. who's going to have the potentiality to go and work in the Trump administration and start to regulate maybe some of these federal agencies and bring a little bit of normalcy back to the American public when talking about making America healthy again, that's been pretty exciting to see. It is. Listen, the line between RFK Jr. and Donald Trump was an answer to my prayers. You know, COVID opened up a lot of people's eyes. Sure. It opened up the eyes of people like RFK and Tulsi Gabbard and Elon Musk, people who love this country that are concerned when the federal government starts censoring free speech, starts acting more like a totalitarian regime than the federal republic that we are meant to be. And so it's very encouraging that the people who align themselves, democratic party, now are, you know, find it abhorrent, are just so concerned that even though they don't agree with Donald Trump on a whole host of issues, they realize that this is a make or break election. We simply cannot allow somebody like Kamala Harris. So somebody so grotesquely unqualified, who there's a great meme that Elon Musk put out, basically talking about, you know, some gal who's working their company for three and a half years. She hasn't done anything that she was asked to do, but yet she demands a promotion. And, you know, when somebody is kind of blocking that promotion, she throws her elderly supervisor out of the bus and now she refuses to even interview for the promotion, but promises you that she will absolutely do these tasks once she gets that promotion. You know, it signed the U.S. of A. That's basically what Kamala Harris is expecting. She utterly failed in the first, in this first term of her administration. Now she wants promotion and she won't even tell us, and the mainstream media won't tell us exactly how radical she is, and you know, what proposals she's laid out there have just been widely ridiculed because they simply won't work. Price controls, a $25,000 credit to somebody buying a new home, that's just going to drive up the price of housing, make less housing affordable. I mean, these proposals are insane, and yet the legacy corporate media are allowing her to get away with it. She shouldn't even have a chance. In the same world with an unbiased media, this election wouldn't even be close. Well, and that's the thing. You see these national polls come out every weekend, CBS, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, et cetera, and they show them essentially deadlocked nationally. But then the next slides they'll bring up is the top issues. You talk about the border, you talk about the economy, you talk about safety and security. They even had one that it didn't say threat to democracy, but it was worded different this week, and Donald Trump is nearing double digit leads in all of the kitchen table items for the American people individualized in the polls, but then they'll tell you that they're running neck and neck. Now, I feel like this election is going to be close, but I think Donald Trump's doing a really good job of working hard in all of these battleground states that he didn't or wasn't able to pick up in 2020 in places like North Carolina, Pennsylvania, obviously Wisconsin as well, some of the ones out West like Arizona and Nevada too. But I mean, when you see the job that he's done, the amount of retail politics in Donald Trump's been able to do how he's kind of addressed differently without the guys of the pandemic for the Democrats to use in this current election cycle, you feel like he's running a better race right now, getting the message out to the American people because we do here on the show. Oh, he's working his tail off. He's made himself very accessible. People know where Donald Trump stands, but you mentioned earlier the lie of voter suppression. You know, what is absolutely true, and this is my biggest concern, is that illegal immigrants are being registered to vote. Correct. An example, after example, after example, I don't know if this is just the tip of the iceberg or whether we're uncovering this, my fears, it's the tip of the iceberg. We know the Biden administration told all of its agencies to register voters. I doubt they're doing that on a nonpartisan basis. We know they've allowed millions and millions of people to come to this country. We know that people are encouraged them to register and to vote. So I am highly concerned about that. It is difficult to prevent it. When you've got these agencies doing it, some of these illegal immigrants have been registered to vote without their knowledge. So why would they do that? Is it because they're going to have somebody else vote their ballot? So I'm highly concerned about that. And that is, again, that is absolutely true. This is happening. But again, do you think the lame-stream media is covering this? Of course not. Oh, they sure won't. And then lastly, I want to touch with you on Senator, because we know you've been working on so much stuff we try to touch on everything that you really hammering home. It's the investigation into the assassination attempts on President Trump's life, you know, for his non-transparent and working with Congress and the Senate, that the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI and DOJ has been in the first one, it seems like America was able to get a little bit more insight, at least into the person that is the second attempt at assassin here. But there's still a lot of questions. All of the funding, how this guy was able to stay in multiple homes, how was he able to travel across the world and recruit foreign fighters to fight in Ukraine, you know, why the Department of Justice might have released that I'm sorry, I didn't get the job done letter earlier this week, they say it's for, you know, building a narrative or for creating standing when they could have just essentially paraphrased it and done a press conference on it as well. We haven't heard Alejandro Mayorkas weigh in on this at all, and he's the man who sits at the top. I mean, listen, we all know that he never has the data and he will definitely get back to your office with the answers every time he comes into a congressional hearing. But still, after not one, but two, maybe even more with the new news circulating recently that there was an Iranian or an Iranian team working to, you know, harm President Trump as well. America is dying for answers on this stuff, not just on why this is continuing to be able to take place, but how is the agencies that are involved just not providing the security that Donald Trump needs. We had former HUD secretary and presidential candidate, Dr. Ben Carson, on the show on Tuesday's Senator, and he said, being around Donald Trump in this cycle, back in 2016 when he ran for president, Dr. Carson said he had more and able-bodied security than he did eight years later. That should raise some alarms, but I kind of want to get your take on it as well. Well, first of all, I understand most of what we know about what happened on July 13th and even those most recent assassination attempts, we're getting from either local law enforcement or the public, not from the feds, very little from the Secret Service and from the FBI. Other than what I think is just an outrageous release of that one document, basically offering a $150,000 reward, they didn't have to release that to the public. That should have been provided to the court under seal, but why did they release that? I mean, they are not, the FBI is not giving us the transcriptions of their over a thousand interviews, even though they said they were going to do so. There are so many unanswered questions, you know, we've only done 12 interviews. The FBI is able to do a thousand. So we just released a bipartisan report, it's preliminary findings, it's putting more meat on the bones of what I did, which is within my office within the first week contacting local law enforcement. We pretty well laid out exactly what happened, lack of communication, again, failure across the board. Correct. We've added some details that, here's some interesting things out of that report though. The second sniper team, the one that was obstructed by a tree, they couldn't see crooks, crooks, they couldn't see them, the one sniper we've been able to interview there believes a rifle round pass between he and his partner, and you have to read the report to see exactly how that's done. Again, the FBI denies that happen, but it just shows why we need their acoustic analysis and we need their trajectory reports, you know, so how have you, have you accounted for all the bullets fired? You know, again, we're not getting the information. We don't know much about crooks, what about all those encrypted accounts? Do you think the CIA or the FBI or CBP is offering what they, you know, their files on crooks or on Ralph? No, they're not providing this information. They don't want conspiracy theories spread, but they're conducting their investigation of being so opaque that they are heightening suspicion and they are driving conspiracy theories. It's a sad reality that we live in right now, you know, we've had so many members of Congress, a couple other senators come through the show recently that said, you know, everyone that's working on this now and has their hands in it, whether it's like the official one that Speaker Johnson down the house set up, whether it was some of the independent congressmen and women who went out to Butler, offices like yourself who are working independently to try and bring some answers and transparency to the American people, gathering as much as they can now and after hopefully Donald Trump wins in November and we get a lot of firings and reshuffling in the apartment, hopefully they don't have a shredathon over there and we get some real transparency on exactly what the motives were, who these people were and why this was able to happen on unfortunately more than one occasion. Senator, this has been great catching up with you today. As it always is, we're very thankful for when you can join us on the show and share a little bit with our listenership. We have your senatorial website, live linked in the show description today, and anywhere else we can find you online, check out all the great work that you're doing. They know how to get a hold of me. One final word, the Secret Service, their texts were deleted after January 6th. I'll just leave your listeners with that one. The texts were deleted from Secret Service phones after January 6th. You think they're going to be transparent now? That's why we're going to put a dot dot dot on the end of that one and we'll pick it up next time we catch up with the Republican senator from the great state of Wisconsin. Ron Johnson, thanks for joining us. Have a great weekend. Have a great day. But let's be clear. For all these positive steps, the cost of living in America is still just too high. You know it and I know it. All right, jumping back into the news portion of the show here. Back end of first, two big Friday editions of the State of Breakfast podcast. No, as always, great catching up with Wisconsin senator Ron Johnson had a lot to say about the presidential race, looking forward to potentially working with RFK Jr. and making America healthy again and kind of blowing things up figuratively, of course. Yeah, I need a green hat. At the CDC and FDA, we're here for it. And now I saw some video on the news. They had sniper teams of plenty outside of Trump Tower this morning when Cookie Monster came to visit. They probably were laughing through their scopes at how far his tail is between his legs when he came out of the meeting. We'll get to that a little bit later in the show. Unfortunately, we're going to dedicate our next news segment, the last news segment on our first of two big Friday editions of the show to Kamala Harris rolling out kind of, not really, her economic platform, I guess you could call it. And then the God awful cringy interview she sat down for on MSDNC this week. So listen, if we only played President Trump, we'd be fanboys. We wouldn't be giving you the information that you need. If you can't watch it yourself, you have to be able to hear it in small doses. So at least you know what we're up against. And just saying, okay, I've lived it for nearly the last four years. It's not enough because it will be on steroids. Again, remember, just on the US Southern border, Donald Trump's now saying 21 million. Those people get pathways to citizenship under Kamala Harris. They are petitioning 50 million more people to come into this country. It's the end of America, period. I just don't understand like we've already seen that this isn't working. Why would you continue to do it? It makes no sense whatsoever, unless they just want everything to burn down. Like it's the Marxist plan to destroy everything and then the utopia rises from the ashes. It's the truth and it's what Ben Carson has, you know, talked about several times on the show, including earlier this week when he joined us. And again, we're dealing now with several generations of Marxistly indoctrinated people who are running every major business, working in every facet and component of the federal government right now. They don't see it like the 250 or so million other of us out here getting absolutely crushed by it. But again, 21 million people in their petition for 50 more. That's essentially, and I'm not really a math wizard. Maybe a fourth or a fifth of the entire population of the entire country, America is over. These are people that are not assimilating that will tax figuratively every single system set up in this country from Social Security and Medicare to education and the workforce. The dollar will be gone, we won't be generating any energy anymore, but don't worry, we'll love the environment and we'll have nothing in love it. And that's it. It'll be done. So I don't want to eat the bugs. I won't eat the bugs. I need something else. I saw that funny meme the other day from it's always sunny in Philadelphia where they're like laughing in the car and Danny DeVito is like, he takes a bite out of his cheeseburger and he starts laughing real hard and then he puts his gut at his mouth the next instead of the cheese. Oh my God, I almost ate my gun. Are we there yet? No, we still have an election on November 5th, but we are going to listen to Kamala Harris lay out some of her, I guess you could call it economic plan. She spoke for about 33 minutes total. I kept a pretty hard time around it, she talked about, I guess what she imagines would be policies for about 11 solid minutes, but it was all words out. It was things that are hypothetical only. Things that aren't even applied now that she would want to change, which in the very short term would make things worse economically. And I don't know if that eventually leads to a recovery in her eyes, but her answer to pretty much everything was like, well, we'll just give people free shit and print more completely valueless money to do so. And that's not the way we fix this country. We fix the country by bringing in money from people who have been not paying their fair share or screwing over America for decades. And we only saw a small break of that during the four years, essentially three that Donald Trump was in office because, I mean, even all the training bar goes crap that was going on with China that all halted during the last year and the pandemic. She even talked about getting into the, listen, she wants to repeal the Trump tax cuts, which give a tax cut that Donald Trump is a tax cut for everybody kind of president. I don't care if Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are getting a tax cut because they pay hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes. If I'm getting a tax cut too, who gives a shit? But they only want to say, oh, yeah, the tax cut for the rich, the rich and everybody else though, assholes, not like us who get nothing under the current administration and you can't have it both ways. You can't say that these tariffs are going to get passed on to the consumer and then say that the tax cuts are not going to cause savings to the consumer. Correct. That's a great point, Noah, because I am lots of things, but what is it? Economist, I am not. No, I'm not an economist either, but just in theory, it makes sense. Speaking of theories, Kamala Harris is on her proposed tax changes, let's hear it. And we will reform our tax laws to make it easier for businesses to let workers share in their company's success. And I will challenge the private sector to do more, to lift up workers through equity, profits, and benefits so more people can share in America's success and prosperity. You know what though? Noah, you know I'm good at this. I am starting to get a rough translation on what she's saying after having to force myself to listen to it for so long now. Are you ready for this? Oh, you learned how to speak idiot. So Donald Trump does the tax cut for all. Jeff Bezos gets it. Ronan Noah get it. It's the same tax cut. We just make less money so we get less tax cut. Who cares? We're all getting one. Kamala Harris, what does she want to do? She wants to tax Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk and then demand at the federal level that they raise their wages and expand diversity, equity, and inclusion. So now you're cost the business money because it's not, yes, it's like the higher people who aren't qualified to do the job. So now you're paying retards more money that can't do the jobs while you're getting tax harder. That sounds like it's great for the economy to be completely honest with you. That's how America flourishes. That's literally what she just said. Nope. That's literally what she just said and not a good deal. We've seen it. So what is, what have so many businesses done during this administration? They folded forever or they've picked up and left America and we'll just send their products back to have like Chinese or African children build it and send it over here. They don't have to use DEI because everybody in another country is DEI and they don't have to raise wages because they barely have to pay them in third world countries. What if they started doing DEI in those countries and they had to hire white people? That would be amazing. That is the universe card. It's just, it's ridiculous and you know, she talks about nothing and then quickly segues now. We're right at about the 10, 11 minute mark here where she goes into Donald Trump. But even in attacking Donald Trump because she knows that so many of, she might even not know that so many of the Trump tariffs are still in place because she is a complete moron. It would be safe to say she doesn't know. Yes, but then she starts talking about ideology, which is like a dog whistle for, threat to democracy and MAGA Republicans. Listen, you decide, let's check it out. Not extreme MAGA Republicans? I promise you, I will be pragmatic in my approach. I will engage in what Franklin Roosevelt called bold persistent experimentation. Because I believe we shouldn't be constrained by ideology and instead should seek practical solutions to problems, realistic assessments of what is working and what is not, applying metrics to our analysis, applying facts to our analysis and stay focused then, not only on the crises at hand, but on our big goals, on what's best for America over the long term. And part of being pragmatic means taking good ideas from wherever they come. Noah, now what's your turn to try and decipher that? I'm going to play a little background music while you start breaking that one down. One, Noah, tell me what you said. Pragmatic just at its base is the antithesis of everything that she's doing. Pragmatic is dealing or concerned with facts and actual occurrences, practical. None of the stuff that she's proposing is practical or concerned with facts for that matter. Would you want to be a part of what she literally called a, what'd she say, an experimental economic opportunist economy for everybody? No, I sure wouldn't. One of the funniest parts as she was full on dog whistling right now was what she had to say regarding President Trump and China, mind you, out of the nearly 80% of Trump's tariffs which are still standing, almost a hundred of the ones that he put on China are still there as well. But here's Kamala Harris literally lying through her teeth and having the audacity to say that China consistently had Donald Trump's lunch, let's take it out. Donald Trump also talked a big game on our trade deficit with China. I think she'd be in black right now. But it is far lower under our watch than any year of his administration. While he constantly got played by China, I will never hesitate to take swift and strong measures. When China undermines the rules of the road at the expense of our workers, our communities and our companies, whether it's flooding the market with steel, inferior or at all, unfairly subsidizing shipbuilding or hurting our small businesses with counterfeits, recall Donald Trump actually shipped advanced semiconductor chips to China, which helps them upgrade their military, understand the impact of you hitting the microphone with your hand so-called policies that really are not about a plan. He shouldn't ship them back because it was a refund for them or our security. I will never sell out America to our competitors or adversaries. Never. Take news. There is not one voter in this country right now who is undecided that is going to use Donald Trump got ran by China and sold America out to China. They were calling Donald Trump racist to China for the entire four years that he was president. It started with taxes and tariffs and then segued to the pandemic and now they're claiming he's giving him a hand job. Yeah, it's the stupidest shit I've ever heard in my life. And again, just go do your researches. Just go into an internet search, which Trump tariffs still exist under Joe Biden and you'll see the entire list there. It's wild and it's just this is what you're getting. This is like the evolution of the basement candidacy. They'll roll her out. They'll literally hold her breath the entire time she's talking. Anytime she goes off teleprompter, you can absolutely hear how awful she is at it. And again, if she didn't have the questions and the direction of the debate, we wouldn't even be having a conversation now because we'd be back up to double digits. We might still be because again, I'm in the. I'm in the demographic of people who think that if they called the election numbers, the poll numbers right now accurately, then they wouldn't have much to talk about and outside of like what song is Donald Trump going to play for his inaugural dance and who's going to be attending the inaugural ball, in my opinion. And again, if he picks up five or six of these battleground states, especially the three big ones on the East Coast early on November 5th, you'd call it an election, as far as I'm concerned. There was one really horrible telegraph just cringeworthy Kamala Harris moment towards the end of this. And well, I'll let you guys decide for yourself. Let's check it out. Every day, millions of Americans are sitting around their own kitchen tables and facing their own financial pressures. Because over the past several decades, well, over the past four years, you and sleepy Joe Biden has absolutely fucked it up. The only thing Americans are doing when they're sitting around the kitchen table these days, no, you could probably attest to this is enjoying a whole lot less good food than they did when Donald Trump was president. We enjoy less food or we enjoy food less. Yeah. Or being foodless. It's the truth and we have to be able to figure out, I don't know, I think Donald Trump's doing a good enough job of attacking her and calling her out on the policy things. When you hear Donald Trump's press conference yesterday and how he led into essentially saying when Kamala Harris flies down to her bullshit photo opportunity on the US Southern border, it is in the 10 o'clock hour here on the West Coast on Friday when we're recording this segment of the podcast. Donald Harris is currently in flight just left Maryland and is flying out to Arizona where she'll supposedly go somewhere near the border and do things regarding border security today. My expectation levels are at an all time low, yeah, but that's neither here nor there. You'll never miss out on all the great stuff we've got going on down here at State for breakfast, like our interview that's coming up, what is it, better ingredients, better interview, Papa John, John, the classic garlic sauce, John Schnatter will be here and he's going to be talking about the economy, man knows a little bit about it, comparing and contrasting the two plans that Donald Trump's continuing to evolve, Kamala Harris is supposedly rolled out this week and then talk a little bit about the fundraiser he recently hosted in Kentucky for President Trump as he is now, all in as most Americans and at least everybody that's listening to this show should be. So I didn't have Papa John's hosting fundraisers for Donald Trump on my 2024 presidential election bingo card, but yet here we are and I'm here for it, I love it and now I'm thinking about garlic sauce. Oh, it's just amazing. My son recently tried the garlic sauce from Papa John's for the first time and it was like this scene at the end of rat tattooing when the guy eats the rat tattoo, he goes back to being a kid, but my son is already a kid, so I don't know what, maybe you went back to breast milk, but he was like, this is some of the best stuff I've ever tasted. I was like, yeah, it's completely horrible for you. So you get to dip your one crust in there and then you're done. Yeah. Did I tell you my son hit a home run last weekend? Nice. Yeah. So I know you're not the biggest sports guy. I'll just throw this in there. They were up one nothing championship game in the one day tournament they played, right? First batter gets hit in the inning, he gets on first base. Second batter walks four pitches, runners on first and second. My son takes first pitch is a ball, second pitch is way inside, knocked him on his butt, so it's two balls, no strikes. Third pitch is a wild pitch, the runners on first and second move to second and third. I'm sitting right along the fence, like now I'm not, I don't cheer for my own kids, like I'll clap at everybody, but I don't be like, yeah, my son or my daughter whenever I go to their stuff, because I want everybody to do good. And I don't want any parents to think I'm an a-hole, so I just kind of, you know, middle of the road. They already know. Yeah. Well, they all like my son anyway. He's real nice. Not like my daughter who's like the friggin ice box from, she literally is. So yeah, my son, the kids were bothering at school last year and she was already in middle school. She's like, do you need me to go with you to pick them up after squall, get out of the car and tell them if they ever do what they're doing, again, they'll do it crying in front of everybody. I was like, I love the way I raised you. So my son looks at his coach and I look at his coach and, you know, there's a certain hand gesture. It's like bump in your fist for swing the bat and then there's all these other fake hand gestures for take a pitch. Now he has three balls, no strikes. One more ball would be bases loaded, no outs. He told my son not to swing and my son put the ball 250-ish feet over the fence and into the bed of a Toyota tundra. Very proud moment. I'll actually send you the video. It's nice because the sun was setting and like the sun burst was coming through the clouds around him in the batter's box. Is there a ball eagle flying in the background? Well, when the ball hit the Toyota truck, I thought I heard one exclaim out in glee. But then like, you know, my son's coach who doesn't speak a lick of English was telling him that he, oh, he thinks he's like, you know, all these good baseball, you think you're a big poppy now after he did it and my son was just like, he's like, I got four home runs in the season. I already was like good for you. But it was a proud dad moment and a coach was sitting on him. Jokingly. Okay. Okay. My son's very disciplined. I've also taught him like, listen, I coached for almost 20 years. When my kids were born, I stopped. Now I held my kids as they're growing up with sports, but I don't want to coach them because I coach with other dads and I saw how much their kids hated them while they were getting coached by them because when you get in high pressure situations, you yell at your kids, but this just happens to be in front of all their friends. Sometimes the fans and I don't want it. I don't want that. So I want to just enjoy it, but I always teach my kids like you'd be respectful, you'd be a good teammate. You listen to your coaches, always say, by the end of practice, coaches like that stuff and they'll remember you. So he always does like yesterday, I picked him up from football after the team dinner, or like halfway down the hill to the car and he's like, oh, I've got to go say about it. Coach runs back and says bye to his coach, just walks up and make coach to you tomorrow with a fist bump. And it's just like, not only, there's 40 kids on the team, 39 don't do that. So it was just like, you know, one of those things where I didn't expect it. But I said, I said, I know he told you not to swing and he's like, dad, I came right down. Rod way. I was like, all right. I said, if you would have got underneath that one and popped it up to the pitcher though, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation because he'd still be yelling at you. Yeah. So, but that was a good dad moment and no good pitches, a good pitch, you got to take it. For the hour and a half, it took just to get there and we were at the end of three straight two hour games in the championship game here, which they won. It was worth it for the hour and a half, it took to get home afterwards, which made for a really long Sunday. And I think which contributed to me getting sick too because I had just not slept all weekend. But again, just a little update from the home side down the sports, I bet you can't wait till your kids know how to drive, then you can sleep on the way home from these things. Ain't that the truth? But you know what? Sometimes I feel like they'd be so tuckered out, I'd be scared, but I don't know, kids have unlimited energy when they're little, right? Yeah, I know. That was, being tired wasn't a thing at that age. Yeah. I mean, I even remember like driving home for break. I lived like three and a half hours away to the college I went to and, you know, the trip back down to the Jersey Shore would, the first couple of years it was nice and then about a third year, I remember, I think my brother flew in to drive home with me and I was like, you know, getting rode zombie for the first time, like in my, you know, early twenties and I was like, wow, this is weird. But yeah, I remember back in the day when, you know, you could do an all-nighter and sleep an hour and get up and just run back outside and do it again. Missed those days. So come on hair, sat down on MSDNC with an interview with Miss Rule, who is also known to be like one of their big softball artists. She's not a, I mean, I don't even know who to say is a good interview or any more. We all find out that like, Barbara Walters and Dan Rather or all full of shit, who really does get interviews anymore, right? But it's like this is just one of those ones where they would both ask each other questions instead of like, getting anywhere, they would just wind up laughing on every answer. And you know, by the time we get to the end of this, you'll see what I'm talking about. You know, raising taxes is something that is going to hurt Kamala Harris during this election cycle, even though we're only 39 days from election day. Because it seems like all of the answers to her policy points are, this is worse for the economy. Well, if it's worse for the economy, then we'll just stimulate it. But stimulating the economy raises taxes and causes more inflation. And she really just doesn't have an answer for it. So I just think, you know, especially when you start talking about raising corporate taxes, the example we gave you before, Trump tax cuts or tax cuts for all Kamala Harris tax cuts are for the poorest people while taxing even more the upper class, which again, they'll just take out their anger on us and make everything more expensive, starting with energy and all the way down to the product. They kind of got into it. And again, Nicole Wallace was, so this was obviously prerecorded and edited. And Nicole Wallace brought on, I believe Samantha Rule to, they would talk about a topic and then lead into the clip. Some of them were like that. Some of them are just a question. Here's the first one. And everybody will talk about it on the other side. Taking that child tax credit or you mentioned housing before, giving that extra money for a first home, if you can't raise corporate taxes or if GOP takes control of the Senate, where do you get the money to do that? Do you still go forward with those plans and borrow? Well, but we're going to have to raise corporate taxes and we're going to have to raise, we're going to have to make sure that the biggest corporations and billionaires pay their fair share. That's just it. They're paying their fair share. I am not mad at anyone for achieving success, but everyone should pay their fair share and it is not right that the teachers and the firefighters that I meet every day across our country are paying a higher tax than the richest people in our country. Again, I thought she was going to see a fair share again. That was essentially it. And it's not true. It's not true. I mean, when you weigh it, maybe in a percentage, but it's not true. Hundreds of millions. Maybe it face value because they're taking into consideration these taxes that they're getting rebates from or not kickbacks, but the tax breaks for being a business, for spending a certain amount of money, for having a certain amount of overhead, you're not going to say that them not paying X amount of money equates to them having X amount of profit. It doesn't necessarily mean that. Just thinking right now, while you're talking and explaining your point, that interview, or all she had to say is, but what's the consequence, both short and long term of raising the tax? She wouldn't know how to answer it. Exactly. Any normal, like, high double digit 80s and above IQ, having person want to know. The answer to that question, as you, the interviewer, and probably all of your family, would be at the expense of the repercussions that happens when you tax the shit out of the rich. Listen, I don't want these guys running around staying rich forever, but we're kind of at a point to where we already, that's water under the bridge after the pandemic. The big dogs are going to be the big dogs until the next thing comes around and we don't need the Walmart's and the Amazon's as much as we do anymore, but that's just the way it is, and it's the same thing with consumer goods. They talk about Kamala Harris is like, "Oh yeah, we're going after the price gouges. Why don't you do that? Oh, don't you worry. We're fucking going after them." You wanted to hear the same exact thing back and forth that came up during this interview. So, let's take it out. Prices are still hot. Yeah, I agree with you. You said you want to take this on by going after those who engage in price gouging, but as somebody who supports free markets, who's a capitalist, how do you go after price gouging without implementing price controls? She's not a capitalist. She's a Marxist. He's going to get in his own. He's going to start to get worried and they say, "I don't know what she stands for." So just to be very frank, I am never going to apologize for going after companies and corporations that take advantage of the desperation of the American people. And I as Attorney General, I thought was happening in the midst of an emergency, whether it be an extreme weather event or even the pandemic, we saw it. We're at those few companies, not the majority, not most, but those few companies that would take advantage of the desperation of people and jack up prices, yeah, I'm going to go after them. Yes, I'm going to go after them. And that is part of a much more comprehensive plan on what we can do to bring down the cost of living, including housing, including the everyday needs of the American people. How does that even make sense? I'm going to go after the people who raised the shit out of prices because global supply chain was broken during a once in a lifetime pandemic. And we'll need a pandemic for me to actually do that. But if there is one, I'll do it and it'll definitely affect the cost of homeownership. What the fuck does that even mean? Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. And the best part about it was, and again, we will get the rebuttal from Donald Trump in our last new segment today when we cover his press conference at Trump Tower yesterday. The funny part about it was the mainstream media, and I caught it early from like 8 AM Eastern all the way up to when Donald Trump took the podium. So no, it looks like an appellate court in New York is going to review and saw the like $500 million civil business. You know, I valued my properties wrong. Ruling is troublesome. The way Donald Trump got railroaded in court, it looks like an appellate court is going to want to probably either reduce or reverse the decision here. No shock as Donald Trump said, that's what's going to happen. But the mainstream media thought when Donald Trump said, because this news broke early and ran alongside the mayor, Eric Adams, you saw he had a pretty bad day yesterday, right? Oh, yeah. Any Democrats that speak out against unmitigated migration, they will find something you did bad 10 years ago, and then federally charge you for it and perp walk you around the news for a couple of cycles. So just keep that in mind, 20 of our Democrats listened in today. So the news all day thought Donald Trump was going to come out and have a press conference at Trump Tower about the possible change in ruling to his civil case in regards to the building bullshit. Man, he came out and absolutely nuked Kamala Harris on the border and destroyed her for like 30 minutes straight. Obviously, the topic of immigration came up and listen, Donald Trump's campaigning on reading the dogs, they're eating the cats and they're ruining places like Roar Colorado, the place they're having a rally out in Wisconsin this weekend, rural Pennsylvania, et cetera. Well, of course, we're going to blame Donald Trump for every single thing wrong with the border because that makes total sense. And here's the answer that she gave during this interview. There are people there that are stressed, that feel that they're at capacity, communities around the country that have legal immigration. Many have said we're at capacity. And many feel like the government has said to them, well, adapt, sit down, be quiet. This is how it is. What would a Harris administration do for those communities who've taken in many, many legal immigrants but are at capacity? Well, first of all, you do have a broken immigration system and it needs to be fixed. And if we take a step back, months ago, some of the most conservative members of the United States Congress came together with others, proposed a border security bill that would have put 1,500 new border agents on the border to help those hard-working war agents work there right now, working around the clock, would have put more money into stemming the flow of fentanyl, which is killing Americans around our country and devastating communities, would have put more resources in our ability to prosecute transnational criminal organizations which, in my career, I've prosecuted. Donald Trump got word of the bill, realized it was going to fix a problem he wanted to run on and told him to kill the bill, don't put it up for a vote. He killed a bill that would have actually been a solution because he wants to run on a problem instead of fixing a problem. And that's part of what needs to be addressed. And my pledge is that when elected president, if the American people will have me, I will bring that bill back and I will sign it into law. And we need a comprehensive plan that includes what we need to do to fortify not only our border, but deal with the fact that we also need to create pathways for people to earn citizenship. And there it is. No, have we not been saying this since the day Donald Trump left Washington, DC and headed down to Mar-a-Lago, Joe Biden took office? Yep. It doesn't matter what radical, progressive, Marxist, DEI, green, new bullshit, bullshit that they would cast on the American people for the entirety of the four years of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. We told you from day one, Joe Biden will let in more people than this country is, could ever imagine crosses border in a four year period and then give every single one of them amnesty. That's the plan. I don't even know how this race is even close to be honest with you. And listen, I'm not just bloviating here because we actually did get down to some serious questions. And you know, any chance they got, again, this is why I think Donald Trump had a press conference yesterday. You want to take a pot shot at him and not even mention his name, but you know it's something that he's been digging on the campaign trail at you. You know what, you want to hear some, I mean, this is Pulitzer Prize caliber interviewing right now. You ready? Yep. Check it out. First one, just a fact check because you're a opponent, there's a little job, okay, fair, fair, because your opponent almost every day seems to be talking about this. So I just want to ask you yes or no, at any point in your life, have you served to all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickings, onions on a sesame seed bun, working out of McDonald's. Yes or no? That's it. I have. Okay. Now the other job. But it was not a small job. Like I do. Okay. I mean, I, you know, yeah. Wait. So confirm she did the fryer. She doubled down on her lie. If that's what you're asking, that's what I'm saying. So now we can confirm her actual position in the company. Can you believe an interview yesterday was 40 days before the presidential election went there? That were there? Yes, I can because that's what we've been seeing and what we should expect moving forward is the most idiotic retardation possible of the American voting public because there's some of these people who are going to believe whatever they're told. There's some people that are not going to believe anything that they're told that contradicts what they've already decided. And there's enough people that just aren't going to listen to reason where we, we still got to really focus on getting this done. And here's the sad part because everything you just laid out is 100% true. The low IQ retards who literally get force fed this shit on outlets like MSD and see on a nightly basis, even got told right after they showed the highlights of the interview that it's not serious and they don't fucking care. Listen to this talk about that answer. I do, but here's what's a little tricky. She doesn't answer the question around if the GOP is controlling the Senate, if she can't raise corporate taxes, where is she going to get the money from is, you know, to expand the child tax credit and do all the things she wants to do? And she says, we just have to do it. And that's great. And that's a campaign promise. But, but the issue is, if it means we're just going to borrow again, then what we're doing is we're just never addressing the deficit. And back in the days when you were a proud Republican, debts and deficits mattered. So, yeah, there, there you have it Noah. If she didn't answer the question of whether or not she dished out of hamburger either. Yeah. It's just like the lady essentially said, well, she didn't answer the question, but it's just a cute little, it's campaign promise. They're cute. You know, we like those and it's just like the people that are sitting there and just got shoveled this absolute garbage for 35 minutes, then get made fun of by the moderators. Like, how'd you like, listen to that idiots, but you still believe it, right? Because you're fucking idiots. And it's just sad to see, I mean, listen, the Democrats, the left, they will never miss an opportunity to tell you exactly what they're doing. They are telling you, they are literally trying to lose this campaign in every way, shape or form, and they're going to see how stupid America is for the second presidential election cycle in a row. We all know what happened with Sleepy Joe, Crooked Joe, and now we're getting the same thing with Kamala Harris, but it's just worse. She's worse than him. Because remember, Joe Biden had a long, albeit checkered track record up on Capitol Hill. You know, he served for 50 years before he got into the White House. And by that time, you know, the train record turned into East Palestine, Ohio, unfortunately. But you know, with Kamala Harris, it's like, you're literally taking an actor within the party who has just been manipulated by the donors and the deep state to do whatever and say whatever they say to be a woman of color, to be a radical left Marxist, and they're going to see if they can convince America, trick America again, to let her have a go with the White House. Listen, I think Donald Trump has a lot of things. One of the top things I think he is at the very end of the day is, sorry, ladies, he's a protector of the glass ceiling. And I'll go with my get. No one knows. He's a pretty robust one. I believe that he's going to do what it takes. His plan to save America is going to be better than we just have to make it happen. Pickles and buns and stuff like that, french fries. We'll leave it at that. We'll get a little serious now. I hate talking about food, but we're getting ready to jump in with the creator, the founder of Papa John's, John Schnatter, but before we do another check-in with one of our partners. Hi, this is Beard O'Ratt, Beard of that Coffee. What's wrong with America today is that Americans are putting convenience over values. We need to start thinking about our dollar as a vote. We need to start using those dollars to support companies that believe in our values and aren't afraid to take a stay at. That's us at Beard O'Ratt Coffee. We're not another pretend conservative company that puts a pew pew on the packaging to take a line with our principles. We don't identify as America first. We live America first. We're a vet-founded, vet-focused, and obviously, period. So if you haven't had a cup of beard that buy a bag, help us continue to support veteran charities every month. And as we always say, stay at weight, not woke. Use promo code stake for 10% off your order. All right. Joining us next on the show today, this big Friday edition of the Stake of Breakfast podcast, he is the founder of Papa John's Pizza. Joining us again, Mr. John Schnatter, welcome back to the show. Thank you, Ron. Thanks for having me. Always a pleasure. And listen, we've got to talk about some of the biggest table items that are upcoming in this election. Before we get into the economy, which I think is definitely in your wheelhouse, I just kind of want to get some commentary and lean in with how you're seeing this race line up head-to-head and for the American people. You know, we were just talking briefly about our worrisome level heading into election day. We're under 40 days away by the time the show airs on Friday, John. And you know, the way the Democrats are presenting their pitch to the American people is definitely a big contrast to Donald Trump who's running on repairing the economy, securing the border, fixing a lot of things internally in this country, bringing American manufacturing and businesses back to the country, and then geopolitically resetting our footing globally. But the Democrats, they offer a different tale of the tape. They say they can fix the economy, but we've seen what it's like for the last three and a half now nearly four years. They say that, you know, geopolitically, we're fine, even though wars are popping up all around the world. And then when you talk about border security, well, we'll just leave that as a mulligan. They sprinkle in things like reproductive freedom and other kind of dog whistle topics for Democrats that kind of just raised a little bit of ire in the press. And there you have their presentation. So two clear cut choices for the American public. How does someone like you who's pretty dialed in to what the people, you know, how they're feeling, what the economy looks like nationally, how it affects everything globally and all that stuff going on, seeing this race shake out right now? Well, the in 2022, they were predicting a red wave and it didn't happen. So the question before the House is that the electric woke up enough with, you know, high inflation, border, immigrant violence, weakness on the world stage has the electric woke up and seen this. There's no doubt that the less ideology in this administration's policies hurt the middle class and the lower middle class, it's detrimental to them. Maybe not so much the upper class or the rich, but the middle class is the heartbeat of our country and without a strong middle class, we're not America. America is the middle class and these policies, he calls her a comrade, Kamala. I call her con artist Kamala. I mean, my gosh, I mean, it's smoke and mirrors, you know, she talks out of both sides of her mouth. She changes policies. And the question before the House is how is the electric going to wake up and see that we have four more years of this and it's going to be detrimental to the heartbeat of America, which is the middle class. John, in your opinion, what does the Democrats ploy over the course of the last, let's just say three to four decades to really crank down and try to, I would say, dissolve the middle class here in the country. When you talk about the exiting of American manufacturing, whether it starts off in automotive and engine to things like producing steel and regular goods for the country, whether you talk about the cost of owning a home and all of the regulatory prices that are attached to that, whether it comes from the banks or all the way through insurance and things of that nature, when you talk about the amount of illegals that have come into this country, they're dumped into the job markets now in local communities, not just in cities, but rural across America. They're clogging up the educational system as well and putting a lot of stress on local governments financially to be able to kind of keep their head above water. It seems like for as much as they like to present themselves as the party of the working man, I mean, they couldn't even get the endorsement of the Teamsters Union in this election cycle. I think that's something we need to talk about. Yeah, no doubt. I was with Trump last week, and the question I ask him is why did they let this immigration happen? And he said, John, in business and competition is the number one thing is you want to know your enemy. He said for the life of him, he could not figure out why they opened the borders and did the detrimental damage and the damage they did to, again, the middle class, whether it's the drugs, meth and theft or destroying cities with immigrant violence or child trafficking. And it's caused tremendous harm to our country. So I've never understood why the middle class and the Jewish population vote for Democrats because it hurts the middle class so severely. You have to understand that whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, people in this country are good people. They wake up every day, make this country great, and they make this country go. And they are not the problem. It's the elite left that you're dealing with. No holds bar on whether it's humanity or money. Everything is about power and control. So it's an evil situation that Trump's dealing with on all fronts because the swamp has to be drained. The CIA's corrupt, the FBI's corrupt, AG's corrupt, the administration's corrupt. They're dealing with a level of evil that the average American doesn't understand because they don't care about humanity. They don't care about the population. All they care about is getting reelected. It's all about power and control. You mentioned you were with the president recently. Let's stick in this thread before we continue on, John. You just had a fundraiser for President Trump not too long ago. Could you hear our listenership a little bit about that? The optimism level when people come and hear him lay out his plan for the American people? Well, he's got a plan. And Trump, neurologically, is wired hardware and software to fix this country because it takes that kind of rigor, persistence, tenacity, and common sense, business sense to fix this country. And Trump, he keeps getting attacked on style, whether you like his style or not, that's not the point. Out of 5,000 managers of Papa John's, we had 1,000 that were mediocre, probably needed to go. 1,000 that needed to get better and 1,000 great managers that were in great stores. Those are your heroes. Those are the ones that win and get the job done every day. Trump is a winner. His most valuable asset is his institutional knowledge. He knows exactly what lover to push, how hard to push it, and when to push it. That is the guy we need in the office that's hardwired and software wired to get the job done and to fix this country. Now sticking back into the thread of what we were just talking about. The middle class, starting with the Trump presidency and maybe moving on past that into election cycles forward where we could have potentially other Republicans, maybe win the White House in, let's say, 2028 as well, does the American middle class in this country have a chance to come back? And that's what we're going to segue into talking about the economic policy of Donald Trump. I want to kind of get into this somewhat. It was a major business owner like yourself. You saw the way that this ran across the country. I do want to talk about on whether or not you think that the taxes and tariffs that Donald Trump is presenting will work for the American people. In addition to all the incentives he's talking about for business owners who not only want to come back to the United States, but stay here and manufacture in the United States as well. The number one harm to Americans is big government. As Ronald Reagan says, the most important words in the English language is I'm from the government and I'm here to help. The government is the worst use of our dollars. They're inefficient, they're incompetent, they're bureaucratic, et cetera. Trump, America works when America works. Trump understands that. So if you have big government spending, you have big deficits, you print money, you cause inflation and a harm to the middle class. Trump understands that. The amount of leverage he'll pull, the first 10 days will blow your mind. He will free up oil, it'll come down. He will protect our border, that nonsense will stop. He'll make a strong on the world stage and he understands you have to cut taxes and stimulate the country to growth and prosperity. You can't have prosperity if you don't have increased your productivity. The most inefficient way to spend those productivity dollars is the government. I think last month, the only thing that really grew in any sector that was of any significance was the government. That's the worst thing you could do. And she's had over three years of her in this administration to do some about this thing. Three and a half, four years after the fact, she's finally going to go to the border today. I mean, that nonsense, that's crazy, that's smoking mirrors. You know, and when you talk about the economic plan or lack thereof that she's laid out, the opportunistic economy, that must be something that strikes fear into America business owners both small and big. She talks about regulating prices. She talks about maybe even taking licensures away from companies that don't want to get in line with the federal government, maybe even rationing fuel at some point in an attempt to try to bring down prices. It just seems like the scare economy is something that, I mean, we see the Dow and the NASDAQ closing at record highs. But when you see the prices that are trickling down in the grocery stores, at the gas pump, the energy rates, insurance rates, et cetera here in the country, it seems like the rest of the people who are operating businesses and the ones who, you know, are kind of the blood that pumps through the heart of the American heartland, they're very nervous on what this election looks like, especially when you talk about some of the radical policies that Kamal Harris is kind of putting out there on the campaign trail. Well, as I just mentioned, for more years of this, the upper middle class will survive. You're always, even in Europe and socialistic countries, you have the 1% of rich, so you're not going to get rid of those two classes. What you do is you do detrimental harm to the lower and middle class and the poor. And so what that scenario creates is a two-tiered society, rich and poor, no middle class. When that happens, you're asking for a revolt. And that last thing we want is a revolt, but it's getting the point where the people that do wake up every day and make this country great are getting sick and tired of being penalized and hurt with these bad policies. You know, that's an excellent point you make. And then moving forward, how important is it that Donald Trump is challenging? I saw as early as this week, he put kind of John Deere on notice and said if they want to continue to build these manufacturing plants in places like Mexico, they're going to get charged a tax and tariff so hard that they won't even be able to sell their products here. That we continue to encourage, and even in some places have to kind of give a nudge to these major corporations to bring companies back to America to make things, manufacture them and send them around this country instead of always relying on going on the cheaper dollar on outsourced labor on foreign workers to bring American products back here to the country. How big of a deal do you think that is that President Trump is putting these companies on notice? And how much more prosperous would it be? Let's just say a decade from now if these companies actually start manufacturing and producing in America again? Well, I'm total free markets, I'm total free trade, but they're misconsturring what Trump is saying. What Trump does is use our money, our taxpayer dollars, to negotiate what's fair for Americans. This administration right now pays all these countries billions and tens of millions of dollars, and all they do is take that money and start wars in Russia with the Keystone Pipeline, the Iranian war, they got all their stuff, money through the tariffs on oil not being there. What Trump does is actually bring it, but it's not getting conveyed to the public, is he's using money as a leverage for the other guys to play fair. So if you're dealing with Germany and they got a 25% tariff on their cars to us, then Trump says we'll put a 25% tariff on our cars to you. And so he's just trying to level the playing ground and get a fair deal for American companies. If you look at his proposed tariffs and what he actually had to enact, they're minuscule. It's the threat of the tariffs and the threat of cutting off their dollars to do harm to us that Trump's going to put a stop to. You know, and that's a great point you make. There was an editorial that came out. I believe it was from the New York Times or Washington Post in the last week. And as we're having the UN General Assembly, it's weird that we're talking about geopolitics when you're a business owner and you know, we're a podcast host here, but here's the deal. Every single country in the European Union in some context buys something from Russia. Obviously, there's the major offenders, the ones who want the war in Ukraine to stay on, the heaviest like the UK and Germany, et cetera, who are buying energy from Russia. And at the same time, you have all of the other countries that are either buying foods, they're either buying goods and services from Russia. It just seems like Donald Trump understands like, okay, even though these things are going on, business conducts normally, regardless. And we're, you know, NATO is not paying its fair share of, these countries are wanting to continue to fund a forever war, but they're all buying, you know, things from the country who essentially is the one that started it. And there is no end in sight to this. So if we don't start taking care of ourselves in a business sense, in a budgetary sense, you already had mentioned the amount of, you know, the national debt is out of control. And that's the only thing that's growing here in this country, including the annual deficit, which can, which is growing off the charts as well, John. This country is, is on an unsustainable spending course that needs to be redirected. I think we could do it on the other side of November 5th, but in closing, tell us how do you feel about it as well? Well, as America goes, it's how the rest of the world goes. And the leaders throughout the world know if Trump gets elected, that all these wars are going to go away, all this nonsense with NATO not paying their fair share, etc, etc, etc. Now, with Putin, he's enamored with, um, crustacean, and, and Ukraine. So he needs to get over that and Trump will put that to a stop rather quickly. The first day of the Biden administration, they shut off the Keystone and opened up the Nordstrom. And now we have Russia that gets a 700 billion a year in oil, along with Iran. And we have oil gone for 220 a gallon or gasoline from 220 a gallon up to, you know, 354 bucks. So everything that the Biden administration done has done runs contrary to Trump's policies. Now, whether they're incompetent or they want to do harm to this country or they just want to be the opposite of Donald Trump, but make no doubt about it. This administration's done more damage to America in four years than all the other presidents good or bad in the past have done. I mean, you can't lie, I mean, the dollars and cents is the bottom line and this country is definitely nowhere near operating in the black right now, something you would know about John. Listen, we want to be able to direct people to check you out wherever you got a website, social media, anything that we could check you out, we'll live link you in the show description today. Yeah, we keep everybody update on the organic farm I'm doing and, you know, entrepreneurship, small business, that's at depopajonsnotter.com. So thank you for that. Thanks for the plug.
