Welcome to this week's grim wages with me, Michael Twenten and the Grimbriefer, and I'm just going to hang my head in shame about three weeks and no wins. It really is getting to be grim wages, but I did say at the very first episode I won't really start getting an idea of where we're at and what's going on until about week three, and week three's been, so I've got no fucking excuse this week to at least not get one right. I've approached it different this week. I'm keeping one off. I'm always one off. So I've changed how I'm going to do it this week. I'm going to bring a few different types of bets to you. This is a type of bet that I've used in the past when I've been on a run where there's only one off, and it does help coming. It's a way of, you know, you put maybe an eight-fold hacker on, but then you put your bet on for if one or two of them fail. It's an eight-fold hacker, but it's a six-fold bet. So I'm going to go through why the importance of that is, and it does help you when you're on a losing streak, just to get you back into your rhythm. Also I've got quite a few stats. Players who were balling, players who were shied, so we're going to stay away from the shied players and concentrate on the players that are balling, then hopefully. This week I'm going to start getting the win because I need to get 220 reefer books into my betting account by the end of the season, or otherwise it's a massive failure for me, especially considering last year I only put in 35 reefer books of my own money, and so far this year this season I've put 40 in. So yeah, I need to up begin and get some improvement going. So start off with this eight-fold hacker, and basically all I'm doing is I'm picking the eight teams from the six o'clock or 12 o'clock games, and I will choose the six-fold option instead of all eight. Now what you do is, you don't just put one price on it's 28 times, so if I was to put one roofer book on, that bet would actually cost me 28 reefer books. So for the purpose of this, I will be putting on 10 pence, 10 pence, yeah, you heard it right, 10 pence, but that all adds up to 2.8 reefer books. I'm going to round it all up to three pound, and I'm going to put 20 pence on all eight, and Alex, you don't want to go through this, you'll see why I'm doing it. So for the eight o'clock games, I've just went for wins, I've just went for the money line, and started off, I've went for Vikings free packers, I've went Vikings. You know don't be writing these Vikings off, I know I'm a Vikings fan, but I prefer being the underdog as well, everyone writing was off, and you know we always seem to come through when we are the underdog, so with the underdog in this game, it's at Lambo, it's Aaron Jones, he's returned to Lambo for the first time, and yeah I think we're going to beat the packers, so I've went for the Vikings, the Jugs vs the Texans, I've went for the Texans, Rams vs Bears, I've went for the Rams on this end, Saints vs Falcons, I've went for the Falcons, Eagles vs Bougainers, I've went for the Eagles, this one could be Dogen, same with the Rams and Bears, there are only two Dogenes I think, Steelers and Colts, I've went for the Steelers, Broncos and Jets, I've went for the Jets, and Bengals and Panthers, I've went for the Panthers, I've went for the Panthers because there the rejuvenation under Andy Dalton as you know mid-pampers look like a professional football team again, and the only thing that I would put down is, I think as I've just checked Adam Phalen's injured, you know, I know he's like getting on and stuff, but I've always been a big fan of Adam Phalen, he is a dude, he's a safe pair of hands, and you know, I've made a lot of money off Adam Phalen over the years to be fair because he always will get you yards, he will chip in with the touchdowns when you least expect and it is always the underdog, that's why I do like betting on Adam Phalen, but I don't know if he's going to be playing, so I haven't included him in any of me bets this week, so I've put ten pence on a six-fold which comes out two pound 80, now if that comes in that gives me a return of 115 reefer books for a six-fold with a two pound 80 stick, and then I have also put 20 pence on all eight coming in, and that gives me a return of 31 reefer books, so when you add all that up, if all of these teams win, both bets come in and I win both which will give me a total of 146 reefer books, so that's why I'm doing it this way, I've always been one of last year's week on these, it's always one team that lets us down, now this way I've got a safety net of two teams, so if I don't win anything off this, then I'm just going to give in, nah I'm on it joking, I'm not going to give in, I'll just waste more money, but yeah, so that's why I'm using a six-fold, so I mean I could have went for a seven-fold, which you know would have gave us more money back, because the more that come in the more money you get back, but the price wasn't too ridiculous for a six-fold, 2.8 reefer books for a six-fold, I think it's quite reasonable, all together for this bet you know it's cost three reefer books, and there's a potential of 146, so yeah we'll go with that for, this is my saving grace. The next bet I've went for is another Akker Paler, a bit builder, whatever you want to call it, of the nine o'clock slash three o'clock games, and I've went for sacks, I've went for players to get sacks, and the top sack leaders in the league so far, you've got Aiden Hutchinson of the Detroit Lions with six and a half sacks, Will McDonald the fourth for the Jets with five sacks, Jonathan Greenard, Patrick Jones the second, Kyle Van Neu and Kean White all with four sacks, for the Minnesota Vikings first to Van Neu for the Ravens and wait for the Patriots. Now because, you know I'm quite glad about this, because the Vikings defense is running riot at the minute and Ian Hutchinson is running riot, my betnap will not let me bet on sacks for them teams to do this because the noise probably guaranteed to come in, they just won't even allow you to put the bet on, so I can't put them on. So I've went for Will McDonald the fifth, I've went for Calvin Neu of the Ravens, Kean White of the Patriots, and I wanted to put four on, so I've went for two j-a-what of the Pittsburgh Steelers all to get sacks, and I've put two reefer books on this because it gives me a odds of 18 and a half to one, so the two reefer books will give me a return of 39 reefer books if all four of them get a sack in the nine/three o'clock kickoffs, shit sorry, I've just realised they're not the nine/three o'clock kickoffs at all, they're just ones that I've picked for getting sacks, and you know the three o'clock kickoffs are the one I'm going to go through next, so if I get anything I just said there about them being the nine/three o'clock kickoffs, these are just games that I've picked out of people who will get sacks, so I'm getting a bit muddled up with trying to look at me notes and go through, and be betting up at the same time, so yeah so the nine o'clock/three o'clock get a game, it would go, what I like to do with these is pick the team and then pick a hook, so I've picked the team to win, but there's a few games here, they're a bit dodgy, I'm not 100% who I'm going to pick to win, so I've went for point spread, and I've picked the point spread in a way that you know I think we should be okay, so for the Patriots and 49ers I've went point spread, 49ers plus 1.5, so again just go through the point spread, if the 49ers win I automatically get a green tick, but the 49ers can lose by one point, and I will still get a tick, and the hook that I have gone for is a score in the last two minutes of the first half, yes, so I've got 49ers 1.5 plus 1.5 points on the spread, and score in the last two minutes of the first half, next one I've went for is the commanders and the cardinals, I've went for the commanders plus 3.5 points spread, and to score in the last two minutes of the first half, next game, these two you know the commanders cardinals and this next game are why I've put the points spread on, is the Cleveland Browns versus the Las Vegas Raiders, I've went for Las Vegas Raiders plus 3.5 points spread, and obviously the two minutes scoring the two minutes of the first half, and then the final game of this 9/3 o'clock kickoff. But to be fair, it's the charges and the chiefs. I'm not that worried about it, to be honest. I reckon one of them two teams will get free score three unanswered times. But as you can see, I've done the point spread. The two games that I'm worried about, I've given a plus three and a half point spread difference. So that the team that I've got on to win, you know, out of the two, I think might win if they lose by three points are still win. You know, so because I do think they're going to be close games and picking a winner, I think it's going to be difficult for them them to. And then the other two games, which I'm pretty confident about the winners, have only went for a plus one and a half point spread. And that gives us a, it's only a little in this one, but that gives us a return of 13 to one. So one roofer book will get me 14, get me 14 roofer books from that one. The next one, I've went a little bit daft again because there's the two games on Monday night. I've included Sunday night game in a freeware, freeware bet builder. And again, there's dodgy games in this with these Seahawks versus the Lions. I'm predicting the Lions will win, but there's always a chance Seahawks could think Seahawks are playing amazing at the minute. Bills versus Ravens are probably think the Ravens, but you never know with the Bills. So I've kept away from the money line on this bet. And what I've done is I've picked players from each team with receiving yards, rushing yards or anything like that. So for the Bills and Ravens game, I've went for Dettic Henry over 67.5 Russian yards and James Cook over 52.5 Russian yards. Now the stats on these two over the last two games. James Cook has 71 Russian yards and 78. So both games is gone over what I've put. Dettic Henry has went for 151 and 84 Russian yards in the last two games. And you know, the open under and over on these Dettic Henry was 67.5. So I've went for that all day. To me that should be a bunker. For the Seahawks and the Lions game, I've went for receiving yards and I've went for DK McCaff over 62.5 and I'm on Saint Brown over 74.5. Now last week, I was saying that I always stay away from the seagull earth Seahawks because you don't know whether they're going to pass it to McCaff or Lockett. Usually whenever I bet on someone, the throw to the other one and vice versa. But the stats again for the last two games. McCaff has got 104 and 129 receiving yards and a Mont Saint Brown at 75 and 119 receiving yards. Now this could be Dodgics is 75 in there and I've went for 74.5. So if he does get 75, I'll still win. But yeah, I still think that's quite easy. The next thing is the Tennessee Titans and the Miami Dolphins game. Now with this, I haven't got that much confidence in like one of the Dolphins mainly for receiving. I was looking at Russian and for some reason it won't let us put a bet on who the quarterback for Miami will be because it's all up in the air. So I've just went for field goals and I've went for over one and a half field goals for Tennessee and over two and a half field goals for Miami. I think Miami are going to have to rely on field goals quite a bit until and get the quarterback situation started. So this will give me, this is a good one. This gives me 99 to one. So I put one wreath of a book on this and I will go and retrieve a book's back. To me, this is also a rivalry week. There is four divisional rivalry games going on this week. We've got the Cowboys and the Giants, the Jags and the Texans, the Vikings and the Packers and the Saints and the Falcons. Now as they have already picked the results for these ones, well to be honest actually I'm a bit weary of the Giants and Cowboys. You don't know which Cowboys are going to turn up, you don't know which Giants are going to turn up but I've went with the Cowboys and I've put a hook on this. I've went for over 12 points. Now so I went Cowboys and over 46.5 points. I've went Texans and I've went over 46.5 points. No sorry, under 46.5 points. Reason for that being I don't think the Jags are going to score much. So I've went under on that. I've went Vikings and I've went over 44.5 points and I've went the Falcons and over 43.5 points. Now this is another good one. This is a 106 to one, these odds give us. And sort of my one reefer book I will potentially get 107 reefer books back. And then finally to the main event for this one really you know this is the Rags to Riches. If this bet comes in I will actually quit my job for six months and I'll find something better. You know it's it's a good one. I've went it's a 16 fold which you know I think it's crazy but what I've went for is rest to 10 points. So for each game I have picked which team will get 10 points first. Not all win. We'll get 10 points first. So I've went Giants. We'll get 10 points before the Cowboys. I've went for the Panthers. I've went for the Jets, Texans, the Bears, the Vikings, the Falcons, the Eagles, the Steelers, the 49ers, the commanders, the Raiders, the Chargers, the Ravens, the Titans and the Lions. Now if all them get to 10 points first I have a two reefer book spare on this so I'll put two reefer books on it and that gives me a return of 36 and a half thousand reefer books. Yeah so if that comes in I'll be following in work on Mundeds and I'll just quit and give myself a few months tossing it off while I look for a new job. So there we go. That's my best, that's my 10 reefer book bet for this week. No Kirk Cousins passion this week. Every time actually to be fair that game was very close coming in. I had my homes last week and cousins both to throw in deceptions. There was only one thing that lies down. I can't remember what it was but yeah that was another one off which I'm sick of just being one off. I would rather it completely loses than just be one off. There's nothing worse. You know what can you do? That's part of gambling really. That's part of the excitement. I mean that's why I do it. Really not to be one off and lose all the time but for the excitement of it and a lot of these bets when I'm one off does make watching the game more exciting. And then ends in frustration which yeah that's just natural really isn't it. So I've looked up you know quite a few gambling quotes or you know cuz I always have like when the phone stops stop and all that. There's only really two that I knew off the top of my head. So I'm gonna look at some gambling quotes and they're not really quotes to refer that they're not like taking the piss out of you for gambling but you know the top 10 most famous quotes about gambling are. Quit while you're ahead all the best gamblers do. Gambling the sure way of getting nothing for something. So they did that when you lose. It's hard to walk away from a winning streak it's even harder to leave the table if you're on a losing one. Which is true you never chase your bets never chase your bets. If you don't gamble you'll never win. It's also true. The only man who makes money following the races is the one who does it with a broom and shovel. I don't really get that. In gambling the many must lose in order for the few may win. Which is also very true. I am adding to that that pot that loses so that there is people who win. A gambler is nothing but a man who makes his life living out of false hope. That's a bit harsh really you know we're doing this for fun not for a wage. By gambling we lose both our time and treasure two things most precious to the life of a man which. Well that is true but when you do any different team of purposes I don't think. The better the gambler the worse the man. I think that is true. I think I'm quite a nice guy and they're obviously unproven that I'm shit at gambling. Hoping to recoup is what ruins the gambler. That's like I just said don't chase your bets. Up in said I am pushing up to my 25 minute limit so I don't have to send two tracks.
