Welcome back to another Primetime edition of the Football Function podcast, as usual, on your host Goose. In this episode, we're just going to be breaking down the Thursday night game where the Dallas Cowboys faced off with the New York Giants. It's going to be a pretty quick episode, because for those that watch this game, it was pretty field goal heavy. If you like field goals, then this is a game for you, because that's pretty much all the giants could muster up. I'm getting five field goals for the 15 points. Dak had a very good game. He ended up throwing for 221 yards, had two touchdowns that came in the first half. And really, after that, the offense for both teams couldn't really get anything going. Daniel Jones, it's a weird case with him. I can't decide if he's a good quarterback or bad quarterback. Luckily, he does have Malik neighbors, who I think is going to be an outstanding wide receiver in the NFL. He just continues to prove. And I think that's one of the reasons why that team looks as good as they do when they do. That offense struggles a lot. Couldn't ever find the end zone. But they kept this game pretty close, considering Dallas did manage to get the win 20 to 15. Like I said, it wasn't the most exciting game. I know that Aubrey missed a field goal late in the game that would have led for the Cowboys to cover. So I know there's a lot of bettors out there that were really upset. But having a kicker like him is going to win the Cowboys so many games. They look so-- being able to be 60 yards out and almost guaranteed make is just impressive. And it's really unheard of. So that's going to be huge for the Cowboys going down the line. Some issues that I think the Cowboys are going to run into is their running back group is just god awful. Zeke doesn't look good. They're going to really struggle in that. And they're going to really rely on Dak Prescott and CD Lamb to compete and to be the stars that they have shown that they could be. But that's just going to be the biggest issue with the Dallas is if they're going to be able to keep their offense going throughout the whole game. You look at the game last week where they struggled the first half and then came alive the second half. This week they came alive the first half but then struggled finding the end zone the second half. So they're going to have to figure out how to put it all together. I think they'll be able to. Dak is just a weird anomaly. He gives spurts of looking amazing. And then he's able to give spurts where he looks bad. So I expect them to always be in good games. As far as the Giants, I really just don't know. I just don't know how to read this team. They have spurts of looking amazing, but then they have the spurts of just looking god awful. So it's going to be interesting to kind of see how they go moving forward. But like I said, that's pretty much it for me guys.
