questions answered for week four with all these NFL teams. I am Chad Parsons. Let's get to the aftermath basically a version of a recap show because the key questions posed were ones for fantasy relevance here. So let's get started. We have the Steelers and the Colts starting off the Steelers. The biggest question George Pickens for a breakout game. You know, that was going to be the focal point here. Zero touchdowns on the season. The Colts were an opposing matchup target plus 32% in terms of fantasy production against therefore the wide receivers and for George Pickens just 13 catches over three games with not a lot of competition there. Well, George Pickens, I'm going to say basically, yes, he had his breakout game. Unfortunately, it was not bigger for the star wide receiver. He had his best game of the season, seven for 113 on a bulging 11 targets. Could not find the end zone had two or three big plays, but the coverage was there. The tackling was there. Leacons was bodied up by the Colts. So despite the fact that it was a target matchup, despite the fact that he did take advantage. It was not a massive game held in check to some degree 17 points in the loss. They actually had some negative game script here. 34 passes for Justin Fields, which is not the idea and design going into the game for the Steelers. But George Pickens, yes, did have his breakout game, but not as big as expected or desired. On the flip side, we got the Colts and it was tough match ups across the board. The Steelers defense, though, had not really been tested. Kirk Cousins had his first start against them in week one. You've got the bow Nix and then in week three, you had a dinged up Justin Herbert. So for Anthony Richardson, one thing I posed was, was this going to be a big buy window in week five for Richardson? Well, Richardson was off to a hot start. Very reminiscent of 2023, where he would have these partial games where he showed a lot of flash and dash. Well, he had three rushes and four passes and had almost 100 total yards in this one. Took a big shot to his hip, tried to come back, ended up leaving the game for good. And I think we did see that Steelers defense. It bowed up. It played well. But there were plenty of moments. Joe Flacco, just like last year coming on hot for the brands, Joe Flacco showed a lot in terms of as a passer with his accuracy. Josh Downs, Michael Pittman, a lot of positive vibes that are coming out of this game if Anthony Richardson does in fact miss time. Now next week, whether it's Flacco or Richardson, this is a huge matchup at Jacksonville, exploitable defense, and the Steelers, again, held them in check, Colts were able to get the win. And next week for either quarterback is going to be a juicy opportunity, either for Richardson to bounce back or for Flacco to be one of the ultimate streamers. Next up is Denver against the Jets. And in this one, figured it was going to be an ugly affair. Yes, what? We didn't even get 2020 to zero total points in this one. And it was tough matchups all around for Denver against that Jets defense. This is going to be a tough opportunity. However, if there was one spot that I pointed to before week four, it was going to be the wide receiver position for the Broncos. And I highlighted Mr. Josh Reynolds as a streaming option. Well, that did not come through at all. It was actually Portland Sutton alive from the dead here, where he actually got 36% of the team targets. He had his best fantasy game of the season. He converted a long target into the game's only touchdown three for 60 in a touchdown. It was only for 14 fantasy points. And frankly, only in 29% of my fantasy league lineouts this week. So, Portland Sutton largely gluing it on folks's bench, but this was an opportunity for Sutton to at least bounce back a little bit of his value and viability. So it was a tough matchup overall. A duddy win that frankly I thought the Jets lost it just as much as the Broncos won it. Broncos didn't do much on offense. I mean, we're talking about two yards per attempt for bow nicks. And really did not have much going on on the ground of really down game for bow nicks as a runner. But the Raiders next week, much more of a bounce back opportunity. And as they say, a win is a win. For the Jets key question here was going to be the tight end position that their elite and it's a very tough matchup against wide receivers for the Jets. There with the Denver defense got Patrick Sertana shut down corner. So the key was going to be. Tyler Conklin and maybe sprinkled in a little Jeremy Ruckert here for the uptick players to come through. Now Conklin did have eight targets to lead the team, not that right, but it was a tough matchup overall all around. Mike Williams made a couple of plays down field, but only two guys had more than 20 yards through the air for the Jets. Aaron Rodgers was constantly harassed. And the bigger key is they could not stick with or did not have much of a run game element in this one. So this is one where Denver, a really gutsy ho road wins and a passing game where again, we knew these tough matchups. We knew it was one to generally avoid Garrett Wilson comes out with eight points. Reese Hall was the big surprise with a dead game after a strong three game set to open the season. Bed Online. The game starts here. Rams and bears. Let's serve the Rams and is this finally going to be a Kobe Parkinson game? That was going to be the key question bears tough against wide receivers but exploitable against tight ends. Parkinson was yet to have a 50 yard game or more than five targets. This felt like the game. Well, he got more than five targets. But big plays or even solid gains still elude Parkinson four for 33 no touchdowns and his days as a low upside option continue despite the seven targets despite the love despite almost 25% of the team targets. So that was a massive disappointment. I think you have to lower our expectations for Kobe Parkinson as a streamer amongst the tight end position. I think a lot of the bigger names come around with their production Travis Kelsey, Dalton King Kate in recent weeks with better games. So the need for a streamer is probably a little more muted and there's some buying opportunities in the trade market. We've seen promise out of these Rams wide receivers. So they actually had a very good game considering the tough matchup. We're now going to two to at well going for 12 points, joined winning 10 for 12 points, and both of them converting 10 of 14 targets combined for the bears. Is this the Caleb Williams get well game? Keenan Allen ended up playing full strength weapons. The Rams were a green light for all opposing skill positions. Tyler Murray Brock Purdy both had three touchdowns over the past two weeks, only one interception for the Rams defense. But again, could not really take advantage. The Bears got the win. However, it was a lot of checkdowns for Caleb Williams. It was a rogue longer chunk touchdown for DeAndre Swift and it was a team that focused on DeAndre Swift where there's a lot of concerns with him going into the week. Sean Johnson kind of rising a week ago, but it was swift going for almost 30 fantasy points, largely on folks benches, 32% start rate this week. And the wide receivers, I mean, DJ more 22 yards led the trio seven for, I mean, we're talking like 50 yards for the three main wide receivers in this one. So absolutely not a get well game, 169 total yards for Caleb Williams. The win counts. They're an ugly two for two, two, two and two record. When you look at the offense and what it has done this season, three touchdowns, five turnovers through the opening month for Caleb Williams. Next is the Vikings in the areas of Aaron Jones revenge game Vikings against the Packers. Really a tale of two different streaks here because the Vikings got out to the huge win, a huge win, ultimately the win. But huge lead and the Packers ended up coming back to Miss Field goals were the difference as they lost by two points. And so Aaron Jones was the focal point here. Green Bay gave up 130 plus total yards to second one. Barkley, Jonathan Taylor are running this season, and he's a ride or die win healthy player. Well, Aaron Jones came through with spades 26 touches over 130 yards. Didn't find the end zone. Didn't matter. 20 fantasy points. Well done and absolutely answered affirmatively. Yes, here Aaron Jones revenge game complete for the Packers. Is this a Tucker craft game? It's easily the best matchup against the Vikings defense at close 26%. And Tucker craft, I would say, yes, 17 points, the streamer du jour, a guy probably more in super flat in a tight and premium and start to type environments than a start one, but massive game. He had eight targets in three games entering week four. How about he goes six for 53 a touchdown on nine targets triple of his previous high this season. Luke Musgrave, as usual, close sit over there. It was a Tucker craft game and hugely optimistic game from Gordon Love, throwing 50 plus times and come back effort. Game of Swinson style, loading the box score with four touchdowns, three picks, almost 40 fantasy points in the comeback effort. Next up, we've got the Eagles and the Buccaneers. It's cool some places, but how about in Tampa over 100 degrees on the field. For this one, second one, Barclay, the key question was, then he would set up to thrive. Like then, he'd be a monster game. Tampa is plus 22% for running back matchups. When they had no Devonta Smith, they had no AJ Brown, which as of recording late in the week did not know if Brown was going to play or not. So without the two big strong wide receivers, Barclay, it was set up for a monster game and they got game scripted out. They got their doors blown off, their defense played poorly, and they got down big. And so second one, Barclay, just 12 touches, but you know what, he goes for over 110 yards. So this is actually a win for Barclay with 14, 15 points, considering that he got game scripted out. And so again, I'm going to consider that a win because he was optimal in an in-optimal situation and setting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mike Evans with the bounce back. This has to be. This was the key question. The eagle struggling mightily against wide receivers, plus 44% for opposing options. Evans with 59 yards over the past two games. Well, we got the big bounce back eight for 94 and a touchdown. Easily the team lead with 14 targets. 22 points. Chris Godwin was okay. We got right spots all over the place for a white-hot bicker mayfield to his weapons. He almost goes for 350 and two touchdowns in the big win there. But Mike Evans, the key question was answered with the big bounce back. Life is good again. Mike Evans death paxes and on his way to a thousand yard season. He's on track for that. He's also got three touchdowns in the opening month as one of the bigger touchdown mavens in the entire NFL. Saints and the Falcons. Always going to be an interesting game and surefire it was. We had special team scores. We had defensive touchdowns, but the key questions on offense for the Saints. Can Alvin Camara overcome this tough matchup? Atlanta is an avoid matchup. You have Chris Olave a little bit iffy and wide receivers a tougher matchup. Atlanta had yet to allow a running back touchdown, especially holding in check them as receivers. Well, Camara said, "I am the captain now." Monster game. Can he overcome this matchup? The answer is yes. 25 points. He scores as well as almost 120 total yards. 26 touches. He's been a workhorse. He got those leg muscles all evened out in the off season. And he overcame that. Taysom Hill scored early and often, but then he exited with injury. Alvin Camara was the key element to this game and ultimately in the tight game that the Saints were in till the end. For the Falcons, will Kyle Pitt shake out of his funk? The Saints are tough against everything, but hide in. Plus 42% and they got shelled by Dallas Goddard. Well, Kyle Pitts is the shell of himself from what we've seen last year, this year, and he actually got shut out. So, I mean, Kyle Pitts, if you're a believer, if this might be the week to go explore a trade, it's been a down year for him. It seems like a distant memory that week one touchdown from Pitts. And watching him closely in this game, a lot of rounded routes, a lot of being ignored by Kirk Cousins. So, I'm not going to say it's time to freak out, but very, very concerning going into a pivotal matchup against Tampa Bay next week. Bengals versus the Buccaneers and for the Bengals, is it Mike Gisicki time? He goes in and out of viability here and this was going to be an optimal Panthers. It's a general get well game, Panthers horrific against tight ends. Well, this is really concerning because Gisicki got stuffed on his one target/one reception. Eric All is getting a lot of time as a traditional tight end. He's got four receptions each of the last three weeks. They're playing Drew Sample a little bit. So, Mike Gisicki really came up small, and the fact that Eric All is developing nicely. Gisicki is moving off of the streaming radar entirely tough to trust, especially with T Higgins coming back and leading the team in targets as yet another weapon here. For the Panthers, can Chuba Hubbard continue his Dalton infused run? The Bengals are tough against wide receiver and tight end, but they can be had and they're exploitable against running backs. Well, Chuba Hubbard passed that test answered yes, unbelievable game, 22 touches, 121 yards, four catches, one touchdown, 22 points, great stuff from Chuba Hubbard. And even more excitingly didn't even consider this as really viable because Bengals are such a tough matchup, but seeing some signs out of Xavier Laguette. Giante Johnson with a strong game, and again, Andy Dalton for a second week in a row. Life is good here fueling fantasy production. They have another tough matchup against the Bears next week, but then things get really soft. Falcons, commanders, and again, hopefully we continue to see this strong play because it brings in Laguette for the streaming option. It brings in Diante Johnson as an auto start option that we did not have with Bryce Young under center. Jaguars and the Texans for the Jaguars key question here, Brian Thomas with a breakout game. I'm Ron Burgundy and this was going to be a strong matchup because Houston just so tough against tight end and running back. We've seen Jacksonville be all over the place in terms of where do they want to go running the ball and E.T.N. had a weird game in this one where it's like he heard a shoulder, did he not hurt his shoulder. Man, it's early in the game. We're seeing lots of tank Bixby and Jirenus Johnson, but they were all over the place in that regard. They got the loss, a crushing loss, a divisional opponent here, but man, I mean, Thomas, one thing I said is he has not put it together. He had a game with a touchdown, a game with 50 plus yards and a game with five plus catches. Well, he put all those together. And that was kind of what I was looting to on this big question. Goody put that all together. So he had five plus catches. Check. He had 50 plus yards. Check. He also found the end zone. Check. And we also got a bounce back game from Christian Kirk. So Brian Thomas continues to look the part. I mean, he's averaging. He's averaging over 13 points per game in his opening month in the NFL. He's got a couple touchdowns. He's got 18 targets over the past two games. He is really rising like a Phoenix. Gabriel Davis is irrelevant. And Brian Thomas have to be excited about him. Despite all the chaos going around him in Jacksonville, life is good for the rookie. For Houston, is this the CJ Stroud get well game? Stroud with two touchdowns and two interceptions over his last two games. He has stinker against Minnesota. Jacksonville is an exploitable quarterback matchup. The answer unequivocally even without Tank Dell. Yes, CJ Stroud goes for almost 350 yards to touchdowns. He ran a little bit and more importantly than anything, he fed the man. Mr. Nikko Collins had a career day. 32 points with 15 targets. I mean, he has three games of 115 plus yards in the opening month of the season. And it is a very, I mean, he's seeing strong volume by the week. Big matchup for Houston against the Bills next week. And they certainly got on the right track here offensively finding that connection with Stroud to Stefan Diggs underneath. And Nikko Collins has that big in breaker and yards after the catch Maven at six foot four. Shopify is the global commerce platform that helps you sell at every stage of your business. Will Bryan Robinson for Washington take advantage of this golden opportunity? We had Austin Echler out. Arizona is a tough matchup for the passing game targets, but exploitable against running backs. Well, Bryan Robinson came through in spades. He goes for 21 points. Huge opportunity goes over 110 total yards. It was such a good opportunity. Even backed up Jeremy McNichols with a new opportunity there for filling in for Austin Echler. He comes through 9 touches over 70 yards, couple touchdowns, monster day, found your best ball lineup there, Jeremy McNichols. For Arizona, this is the matchup for opposing quarterbacks is the Washington commanders. Baker Mayfield, Daniel Jones, Joe Burrell, all had two plus touchdowns against Washington. It's easily the best matchup for wide receivers, so all in on that Tyler Murray to Marvin Harrison Jr. connection for these rosters. Now, they did not succeed. This is an absolute no. We had such high expectations here. Tyler Murray through 22 passes and he had about 145 total yards, one touchdown. Now, at least Marvin Harrison Jr. was the leading receiver and receptions yards. He had the only touchdown for the passing game for Arizona. But what a massive disappointment they could not get off the field on defense. Their defense is exploitable as well. But Marvin Harrison, 14 points. Tyler Murray, 13 points. Very tepid when you look at that stock for the ex-bike patients, considering that matchup. Patriots and the 49ers. It was a slanted matchup going in. They got Debo Samuel back. They got George Kittle back for the 49ers. And so the key question for the 49ers, is this the Brandon IU breakout game? Patriots are tough against the run, but they're exploitable against wide receiver. Brandon IU has had 50 or fewer yards, three straight games. Quote unquote pre-season is over. That was my assessment going into this week four. IU had a couple of opportunities downfield. Ultimately, he was second on the team and targets. They only threw the ball 27 times. They ended up having a comfortable win. Two for 48 for Ioki had one vintage moment, about a 30 plus yarder on a deep cross or a deep over route. So again, it was tied for his season high and yardage. We're still waiting. He continues to be a pretty strong by opportunity because he's scoreless through the opening month. And again, Debo Samuel healthy for now. Again, the wide receivers were the matchup, but we saw this spread around. Joanne Jennings had a long, long reception. Debo Samuel had a long reception. So in aggregate, life was good for the 49ers wide receivers, but rarely is it spread so evenly here. So again, that is a no absolute no for Brandon IU can his breakout game for the Patriots. Is this the game? Jalen Polk breaks 15 yards in a game. That's a tough matchup for Hunter Henry. What else do the Patriots have? You figured that'd be negative game script and all those things occurred. So Hunter Henry, he got firmly held down. Jalen Polk, he had an opportunity. It seemed like it was a catch between two defenders. He would have gone over 50, if not 60 yards with that with that addition, but he goes three for 30 team leading seven targets. Life is rough. Brissette got harassed and Romandre Stevenson did his best tough yards all around for him over 60 yards on 17 touches. But Polk again, best game for him. It was tongue in cheek. Can he break 15 yards? He can any game he did in this one. We're still waiting for good things, but it's really tough to succeed in this situation. And Polk is flashing by the week with the catches and plays he is making. Key question for the Browns as they ventured to the Raiders, it was going to be on. This is an exploitable matchup, but it was going to be an optimal spot for Jerome Ford. So he has very few games left with Nick Chubb nearing return here. And it was an optimal matchup. So he was going to need to exploit this one for one of his best games. That was absolutely answered. 17 touches. It was a grimy game. It was a dirty game. It was a game that the Browns were close to winning. They had a long Mario Cooper touchdown called back. And so Jerome Ford didn't have any strong touchdown opportunities yet. 17 touches, seven of those being catches and comes through in PPR, even without a touchdown. So absolutely yes, here to Jerome Ford, optimizing his matchup on the flip side for the Raiders, the key matchup here. And it was really going to be with Devonta Adams dinged up that Brock Bowers, can he overcome a pretty poor matchup against the Browns and have that monster game. I have that step out game that he had been showing flashes. He's yet to have a touchdown through three games. He's had good volume, but would he string together three, four big plays. I have a touchdown. I mean, he had the potential for 12 plus targets in this one. Well, the Raiders didn't have the ball all that much. They ran the ball unsuccessfully. So Gardner Menchoo didn't do much. He was constantly harassed in the pocket. And this is one that Brock Bowers had a couple of missed opportunities. He had one drop that would have been 20 plus yards, who for 19 and on just three targets. And even Jacoby Myers didn't come through. This is a good outcome, despite the NFL win for the Raiders, fantasy wise, absolutely not much going on here, where there are two touchdowns, rogue scores by Trey Tucker and DJ Turner, wide receivers getting rushing touchdowns in the red zone. So again, surprising effort there. Thought much bigger days for Brock Bowers and Jacoby Myers, totaling less than 60 yards on seven catches between them. Chiefs and Chargers. Key question for the Chiefs. This was the spot. If there was going to be one for Travis Kelsey to have his big game. Chargers are stingy across the board. The least stingy is the tight end position. Kelsey is alive. You kind of felt it early in this game too. That he got a 30 plus yard down the sideline. He ends up going and having more fantasy points in this game than the first three combined. He goes for 16 points, seven for 89, nine targets still left out of the end zone scoreless through the opening month. But Kelsey is now alive and on the right track now. Unfortunately, for his teams, they might be one in three at this point or 0 and four. It might be a little too late for these teams to prevent themselves from selling off of the older Travis Kelsey, the asset. But they could be without Rishi Rice for. Well, they probably are for a huge chunk of the remainder of the season. We're still waiting for Xavier worthy to really find his stride or see bigger volume. So Travis Kelsey is the necessity now that he ends up stepping up his play and he did so in the week for win on the opposite side for the Chargers. And this is going to be an optimal matchup for the tight end position. Chiefs are one of the target spots for the tight end position. So in terms of Hayden Hurst, Will Disli, this was going to be a big opportunity for them. However, they came up small. They really didn't see much in the passing game overall. It was tough sledding. Chiefs defense played outstanding in this game. Hayden Hurst, Will Disli combined for just three catches 30 yards on six targets. And it was a dug game out of Hayden Hurst specifically, the one that you would have targeted most likely to see the most routes. So this just shows you the Chargers are really going to have a tough time. There's going to be a, whether it's Quentin Johnston or Ladin Akonki, someone's going to pop a little bit, but the ceiling for this passing game in any game that's close is not going to be there. And we've just seen the struggles, especially out of the tight end position. If they couldn't get it done with this optimal matchup, it's going to be tough to trust them at any point this season. Bills and Ravens. This is the feature pinnacle Sunday night matchup, but we got ourselves a dug blowout win for the Ravens key question for Buffalo fantasy wise coming into the game. This has to be adult and Kincaid for the win type scenario, plus 83% for the tight end position with that Ravens matchup. Kincaid been rising by the week. He got up to 13 points in week three, but yet to post 50 yards in a game. Well, that glass ceiling still exists for Kincaid. He goes 5 for 47 on seven targets. He was right there amongst Julio Shakir, basically infused by one big play on Coleman was right in that 50 yard range as well with a couple back shoulder plays down the sideline. But Kincaid led the team in targets, led him in receptions, only 10 points. So again, did not pass that test. The bills were stymied in general on offense got negative game script. And they really didn't take advantage with a lot of garbage time. They struggled to get off the field and prevent that running game for the Ravens even down the stretch run of this one. Finally for the Ravens is Mark Andrews alive. He was shut out as the Baltimore run game thrived in week three, Buffalo is the top batch up against wide receivers and neutral against running back. But it's a good matchup here for the tight end position. And Mark Andrews had 65 yards to three games. Well, no, Mark Andrews was not alive in this game. If there's a point for Block League, you did pretty well because Mark Andrews had a few key blocks in the run game for the Ravens, but played about half the routes. And again, they threw the ball 18 times with Lamar Jackson. They got the starters out essentially in the mid fourth quarter because they were up by four scores. And so Mark Andrews, welcome to, you know, one of the more frustrating situations where he is clearly not playing when they are mashing and running the ball. And the Ravens are taking the air out of said ball in those situations. I mean, Isaiah likely had one catch. You have say flowers with one catch. I mean, it's just this was a running back centric attack. He's even the 19 throws they made the game. Nine of them went to running backs. So, Justice Hill, Derek Henry are thriving right now as a tandem and Justice Hill 20 points. They had almost 60 points between them. So Lamar, Mark Andrews is confirmed, not alive. He's on life support. Now his his long term profile is very healthy. And I did a deep dive on him last week, but it's a striking trade opportunity for when you're taking the long term lens of profile acquisition in your dynasty leagues. That'll do it answering the key questions that were posed for week four across the NFL landscape. I am Chad Barsons. Until next time, never so refuse to be average and keep building those guys. I would say that to my son. Man, I mean, come on, man. Just go. This isn't CBS. All right. Be quiet for a few seconds. Why would people want to listen to the Sims complete podcast? Well, a couple of things. One, if you like to see sons pick on their father, this might be the place. If you want to see a place where the father just kicks he out of his son, this would be the place. What do you like about it, Matt? Dido. Father, son, dynamic duo talking about the game of football that we love and share and appreciate together. And, you know, hey, it's an extension of what we did, right? Growing up, I was able to watch my father play football, then obviously watch him as a broadcaster. And then he taught me the game of football and share the wisdom that he learned throughout his playing career. And, you know, hey, sometimes we're full of it and sometimes we actually know a thing or two. Well, we do do a lot of research. At least I do. You, you little spotty, but you know, you're, you hang in there. It's fun. I love doing this and it's been awesome. Sims complete. Check us out.
