I don't know if I call it a great victory I will now as John Fox taught me look at the season in four quarter chunks of games Okay, so after the first quarter of the season the Broncos are two and two in four winnable games Our little kind of metric that we said, okay Well those first two games were maybe winnable games and you lost them well now you have to go snag two games You were supposed to lose You got a win - you're supposed to lose after losing to that theoretically in our minds that we built up here all offseason And that we said the Broncos were supposed to win well The young Broncos Denver Broncos who don't really know any better. They don't think hey, they don't know they're supposed to suck You know what I mean? Man these guys. It's four years been nine years nine years ago. These players were 14 13 17 You know 10 years old playing not it. They don't you know the Peyton Manning era Again, it's like you know, that's that's that's a long time ago to some of these guys So they're going nothing to do with that now. They're balling in college, right? They're good. They got the feels like twice, you know the feels Yes, we've got to play that on the way out. I think okay, and then so they got the feels and They they're trying to make that bread that paper that some of those guys they hadn't even bought their mama a house yet so they got everything to play for and they're buying in the buy-in is What's happening with the Broncos a little bit and yeah, it doesn't look the way that the Chiefs do it or like the Chargers do it But you just got to find ways to win until you kind of keep developing and bow nicks went up against again Three so far, you know, maybe four Tampa's - really great defenses like if you were gonna say Four of the top ten defenses in the whole league I think bow nicks and the Broncos offenses had to go up against four of the top ten defenses in the league I don't think that'd be a stretch. Oh, oh, we'll rake someone there one of these teams race 15th or 16th Okay, whatever. It's the Steelers. Okay. It's the The Seahawks whose bread and butter is all about that D no matter if there's no camp chancellors and Earl Thomas's and then we just you know we know how talented the Jets are maybe most purely talented defense in the national football Lee Tommy and then what else and then I mean Tampa Bay I know they're missing some guys last weekend, but that's a really good defense, too It's probably top 10 so I don't think that's an exaggeration at all and look at the combined records to of the four teams No, I think so too the Broncos before they faced Tampa Bay had faced eight and oh remember that Because Tampa was two and oh and the Steelers and the Seahawks were three and oh and beating yeah They faced eight and oh and then you just go against a team here in the Jets that were two and one And people are thinking gonna go win 12 games. Well, they might still go win 11 10 12 games But the Broncos got him at the right place at the right time. I don't know how many times I'll tell you back in my day when like Yeah, it was like that the Broncos man. They can never go to Miami and when they couldn't go to another just to travel it could go to the Jets and win it's too hard That's up. That's a you know, that's a circle that as an L So to go do that and back to back weeks like that. That's something man extremely impressed really in the history of this franchise It's it's that's rare. That's rare fight. Yeah, I don't forgot any numbers and stuff like that So, you know, I'll tell you when the last time they were able to pull something like that was off, but It's a rebuild. It's a reboot. It's hopefully rebuild is a reboot. It's exciting again. It's I'm almost this guy It's exciting. That guy would be here. He gives he deserves as much credit as anybody right now Oh my god. So they're they're off this week and then they have Kansas state the following We can understand is a real team football game. That's a great team But do you know what I don't think you know while stylistically different. They're not you know, they're not light years and tears They're not tears better than UCF. They're not tears Um They can be beat and they're just getting their act together - Kansas State wasn't at the beginning of the season Stumbled out of the gate to themselves We'll have Chris money cash Nash on A certain point to you know talk about that game, but the buffs never let up you kept thinking I kept thinking they're gonna find a way back in this game if you watched the bills and The Ravens last night you kept thinking man the bills are gonna get back in this game There's you know, they're gonna score a couple quick touchdowns make a game of this thing and It just never happened it just never happened it happened all over college football in the NFL every single every single week And it happened all over this weekend. It just the buffs kept their foot on the gas Choked him out It was great because I thought if the buffs were gonna win it was gonna be 45 42 Not 45 20. Kelsey hasn't been great this season at all. I don't know if he was a deep boy. If you look at yesterday or what the deal is, but, you know, other than last night, the Bills kind of make that work. If you got the right quarterback, man, you just got to have dudes go out there and run routes and he'll find you, you know, and you know, yeah, well, I mean, Josh Allen, we're worthy on a deep ball. We're just ran straight. And then, you know, if you're the chiefs, you can go, man, they're not afraid to make a trade. They're afraid to, you know, if they're they're out working agents on veterans who are on rosters right now who ain't getting touches and cut me once things go wrong. So that's how backdoor stuff kind of happens and works. So, you know, they're trying to win another championship and they're probably willing to do it at all costs. So yeah, we had a lot happen over the weekend. Let's talk about it. So many. Well, first, did you see that trade on Friday night? Yeah, Julie Randall there. I just listen, please, because you're so good at this stuff. I told Denver on this microphone, they will trade Carl Anthony towns. They will trade Carl Anthony towns in the off season. I said it. I guaranteed it because he does not fit there anymore. He's in the way there a little bit, and he's best cashed out for pieces or some kind of replacement big man that again, that's the value Julius Randall and Dante de Vincen's, which is a nice little addition. Carl Anthony towns didn't go command three, four first round picks and all this other stuff. And he's not a trade for stars and a lottery pick. You know, they kind of had to move contracts and just find a way to kind of shuffle the deck, but you know, no one will ever remember it. And you feel like, well, you sound like one of these sports talk radio jerk face. Look at me, guys, when you say this, but man, did I see this one coming from a little, you know, I wish Jeff is here to confirm that because he's a bum. He's a bum player. He's limited. He ain't tough enough. He's ugly. Tell us how you really feel there sit too much. He's one of my most hated athletes, I think. Yeah. Yeah, intro big, big move though, big shake up. David Chenzo, I thought it was a little bit surprising for them to let go. They made a huge deal once they got Mikhail bridges of the four Nova guys playing together. Yeah, sounds like he wasn't quite all in as everyone else was, as far as Hart and Brunson. I think the Knicks, it did help them a lot though too. They they needed that was their biggest weakness, I think. In Minnesota also adds another shooter. They got some versatility with David Chenzo. It's almost like a win-win for both teams, but I think it does help out the Nuggets. T wolves are not as tough of a matchup now, in my opinion. Interesting. I mean that he is a unique piece, but he's almost like a weird luxury edition. He's a front runner, I think. They had some trouble in that playoff series with all those big guys. Well, for sure. If you're the Nuggets, how does this directly affect our guys us? It's a good move because that team was built in a certain way to beat the Nuggets, which they did. Yeah. So Joyce Randall, I don't think helps you beat the Nuggets in any way, shape or form. Exactly. He's older. I think he's older, much older than his even age, and I don't think he's got much tread left on the tires. They have to pay him for two or three more years at a lot of money. They go, oh, the guy's 60 million bucks or more. So they're tied down to him for a couple of few more years. And I don't get the trade. I don't really get it. I would have wanted to get Corrita Collins when he turns to and they did it, but they take a player who is in a, makes him interesting in a new dynamic, but not in a way that I think makes them better. That makes sense. What else? And then also, did you see that that Georgia Bama game? It lived up to the billing on Saturday night, a thriller. Georgia was down 28-0. They actually took a 34 to 33 lead with just over two minutes left. And then that 17-year-old freshman, wide receiver Ryan Williams made a spectacular play, a 75-yard touchdown catch, and then gave the tie the lead. They never gave it up. But a top five showdown, we're used to seeing this game in like the SEC championship in early December. We get it in late September and wow, what a game. Alabama. They got so many, so many dudes. Unbelievable. And you know, JJ's funny, man, because he watches a game sometimes. He just has these little thoughts. He hears stuff. We always have like sports center going on in the corner of the kitchen on that TV at all times. It's like the background noise for the dog. It's always on. It never changed. It's never changed that channel. So, you know, he sees it. He soaks it up. He kind of knows stuff. And he said, George is going to come back. George is coming back. They kept saying him like, ah, they're toast, bro. 28-0. Look, they're cooked. It's over. I mean, like, what are they going to do? How are they going to come back? I was thinking final score, you know, 35-13, 35-10, and they just kind of found a way. And again, makes you wonder, well, who's better? You know, who can win? You know, those, they should be playing for. I'd have them on either side opposite sides of the bracket when this 12-team bracket comes out. And because they should be playing each other for a national championship. Yeah. You know, Michigan ain't it. I don't know. They're the two best teams. And I think Texas has a case to make two. Definitely. And then I don't know who else. Ohio State by Ohio State's there. Ole Miss lost. Ole Miss lost Penn State's right there. But it's the style play. I don't know if Franklin could take them kind of to the next level. It was still, I'm still waiting for that. It's a style thing. And the guys, he kind of gets, maybe he's not spending enough money. Maybe we don't have enough dug guys who are, you know, also super crazy. The athlete guys are also, you know, do things in the locker room for better, for worse. You know, like, they're a certain thing all the time, Penn State. And it hasn't gotten over the hump. Sometimes you got to be a little bit rebellion. And the same thing with Notre Dame, you got to get, you know, good, different type of Georgia and Alabama player who can get into those programs, but might not be able to get in in Notre Dame. And then Tennessee. I'd say that those are probably the top four right there. Yeah. Okay. I go to Texas, Ohio State, Tennessee. I mean, yeah, I got, yeah, Bama, Georgia, Texas, Ohio State, then there's a tier drop off for me. And Ohio State might even be in that next tier. I'm not super convinced about them. Yeah. Oregon's got a lot to prove as well. Um, yeah. What else? Oh, and then, uh, as far as the NFL around the NFL yesterday, Jeff's not here, but his bikes go to four. No, Sam Darnell continues to live. They gave up big league too. Yeah, they almost blew that whole thing. If Packers win to miss those field goals at the start, totally, they could have came all the way back. It was rust. You know, a little bit of rust on, Oh, Jordan love coming back. Coming back and took him a little while to kind of get going, but he's showing me over and over and over again that he's the truth, man. I'm a denier a little bit, but man, the second half the season numbers are great. And, um, it looks like they're going to be, they're still got their stuff figured out. They'll be there in the end. Blackings are a great story though. Great story. I can't, I cannot believe they're four and I think only the chiefs are the only other unbeaten team. And then last thing here, Charlie Blackman last last game yesterday, wrapping up a 14 year career. And it was pretty cool seeing him run out to center field by himself before the game. Then he gets a single in the third inning. They lift him for a pinch runner. So a proper, a proper send off for Chuck Nasty and, you know, Ross finished 101 losses. Oh, Tony, if you would have had like the greatest day ever yesterday, which she's had like five of the greatest days ever. Like I said, the season, he would have a chance for that offensive triple crown a little bit, but what do you have 54 59 as they ended with? Um, or who won the, the batting title in the national league and the Mariahs, but they sat him. They sat him the last series. I know, but we so rise that he won last year, the batting title and he won the year before he's been on like three different teams. Am I wrong about that? No, he was with the twins two years ago is with the Marlins last year. And now the Padres. Sorry. He won three straight batting titles with three different franchises in two different leagues. That's what he does. He's a hit machine. Dude, that isn't freaking psychotic. And no one would know this player. Like no one knows this guy in the world. We got to go home, man. Let's go to home.
