We got a question online upon line. It is written's Bible question and answer program asking if Jonah attempted suicide when he asked to be cast into the sea. He didn't, but he did reveal a lot about himself. The man who wouldn't go to Nineveh so that thousands of people could be saved from sin was overcome by a sudden rush of altruism when he didn't want to see half a dozen or so sailors perish, even though there were godless heathens just like the Assyrians. A bizarre double standard. There are people at church who like other people, at church, but aren't moved by the salvation of refugees or immigrants or people of other faiths. Jesus said in Matthew 28, 19, make disciples of all nations. We don't get to pick and choose. All means all. Every person is valuable in the sight of God. The gospel must go to all nations.
