Sometimes God uses circumstances to help guide us to his perfect will for our lives and ultimately our divine destiny. Trust the process and trust the Lord!

God is able to do just what He said He would do, glory to God. He's going to fulfill every promise to you. Don't give up on God because He won't give up on you. He's able, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. His name, oh, oh, oh. She calla marama maseko tole end of a cusse. He's worthy, he's worthy. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Glory to God. Father God, me and Pastor Amy, we join our faith with your wonderful people. Help somebody to overcome adversity. Someone that's in a bad situation. Let them know you know how to fix it, you know how to turn that thing around and make it work together for good. Bless your people through the Word this morning, minister to them, encourage them, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray, somebody say, amen. As we continue our series, Overcoming Adversity, on this morning we want to talk about your steps are ordered by the Lord. We are continuing as we talk about Naomi and Ruth and all of what Naomi had to go through. She just had the winds of adversity begin to blow in her life and things begin to happen that didn't make sense. She didn't understand it was from funeral to funeral, from pain to pain, and it just got worse and worse. To the point that Naomi said, God have lifted his fists against me. She said, I came here full and now God is sending me away empty. She didn't realize that sometimes when God gets ready to elevate you, God, sometimes you gotta go down before you go up, come on somebody. So now, Ruth and Naomi, they are back in Bethlehem. Chapter two, beginning at verse one says, Now there was a wealthy and influential man in Bethlehem named Boaz, who was a relative of Naomi's husband, Elimelek. One day, Ruth D'Amour by said to Naomi, let me go out into the harvest fields to pick up the stocks of green left behind by anyone who's kind enough to let me do it. Naomi replied, all right, my daughter, go ahead because God had it set up in his commands that the poor should be allowed to clean behind the reapers, the business owners who had their employees gathering their harvest from out of their feeling from the farms, that whatever was left over, the poor can have it. So God always have the poor in his mind because sometimes you have to struggle and you just gotta pick up the leftovers from somebody else and make do who know what I'm talking about. God always looks out for the poor. So Ruth realized they were struggling and she told Naomi, I'm gonna make something happen for us. I'll go on and clean behind the reapers and hopefully someone is kind enough to let me do it. So Naomi replied, all right, my daughter, go ahead. Now watch God begins to work behind the scenes. I don't know about you, but I get excited when I see somebody who went to hell and back, who went through some serious trouble and trials and things begin to take a turn for the better for. So Ruth went out to gather green behind the harvesters and as it happened, she found herself working in a field that belonged to Boaz, the relative of her father-in-law, Elimila. While she was there, Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters, the Lord be with you, he said. The Lord bless you, the harvesters replied. Then Boaz asked his foreman, he asked his supervisor, "Who is that fine looking young woman over there?" (chuckles) Old Bo was starting to get some little butterflies kicking up in his stomach. Who does she belong to? Lord have mercy, Jesus. Boaz is wanting to know who does she belong to? I'm single then and I'm wide open. She was a beautiful woman, she got Boaz's attention. So Boaz is wanting to know, who is this woman? She's beautiful, I hope something can work out for me. Something's going on in this man's head. And the foreman replied, "She's the young woman "from Moab who came back with Naomi." I don't care where she's from. Boaz, she got his attention, she's beautiful. She knows how to carry herself and she has a great attitude. Lord have mercy, so Boaz is beside himself a little bit. Verse seven, she asked me, this is the foreman, she asks me this morning if she could gather grain behind the harvesters. She has been hard at work ever since, except for a few minutes, rests in the shelter. So she was an a lazy woman, she was a go-getter. Root was a hard worker, are you listening to me? There's something about hard work, something about someone who is diligent. Watch this, Boaz went over and said to Ruth, says, "They're first greeting good one another. "Listen my daughter, stay right here with us "when you gather grain. "Don't go to any other fields. "Stay right behind the young women working in my field. "Stay right here." Boaz owns the field and he's giving up a mission. Stay right here. Boaz is feeling a little something. God's beginning to make something happen behind the scenes. He is bringing the two people together. That would be used to bring about the Messiah. God would use them to bring about the birth of David himself because Obad gives birth to Jesse, who gives birth to David, who gives birth to the Messiah and then, come on, somebody, look, look at God. All of this to get Jesus to us, my God, my God. It's working together for your good. So Boaz is captivated by Ruth. All of a sudden, he's telling, "Yeah, just stay right here. "Don't go nowhere else." And God is doing God. Look at the tragedy that these two women had to overcome. Well, for Naomi, it's her husband and both her sons. For Ruth, it's just a husband. But for Naomi, she lost her husband. She lost her sons. And a daughter-in-law have turned back. So only Ruth is with her. So for Naomi, it was loss upon loss for Ruth, of course. She lost her husband. I mean, that's absolutely devastating. But watch this now. So Boaz said, "Stay right here "behind the young woman, working in my field. "See which part of the field they are harvesting "and then follow them." Notice what he says, "I have warned the young men "not to treat you roughly. "And when you are thirsty, help yourself "to the water they have drawn from the well. "Ruth fell at his feet and thanked him warmly. "What have I done to deserve such kindness?" She asked, "I'm only a foreigner. "Just hang around, Ruth. "You're gonna find out in a minute." Your Boaz is the tension. God's about to give Ruth a brand new husband. He's about to give Boaz a wife. And God's about to give Ruth more wealth than which she ever dreamed possible. The pain that she had from losing her husband. God's about to restore it and make up to her for everything she lost. And Naomi is about to be a part of all of this and see it fulfill. And Naomi herself in the end will be taken care of and blessed beyond measure and become the grandmother that she had always designed to be. What a God we serve. So Ruth fell at his feet and thanked him. Boaz, yes, I know Boaz replied, "But I also know about everything you have done "for your mother-in-law. "Since the death of your husband, I have heard "how you left your father and mother "and your own land to live here among complete strangers. "May the Lord, the God of Israel, "under whose wings you have come to take refuge, "reward you fully for what you have done. "I hope I continue to please you, sir," she replied, "You have comforted me by speaking so kindly to me, "even though I am not one of your workers. "Your steps are ordered by the Lord." Ruth told Naomi, "I'm gonna go out and look for work. "I'm gonna look to see how I can, "I'm gonna look to see how I can glean "because we are pawn struggling. "And I'm gonna take care of you, Naomi. "And she just happened to go to the field "that belonged to Boaz. "This was the hand of God working his will together "to fulfill his own purpose. "What a God we serve. "He loves you, he cares about you. "Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, "somebody under the sound of our voice today, "tuning into this broadcast "is at the breaking point in their life. "They do not understand why they have to go through "what they have to go through, the tragedy, "the pain, death, sickness, financial loss. "But amidst all of this, "God, you are ordering their steps, "and you are about to restore them. "You're about to heal them. "You're about to put them back together again. "You are putting them on the path to recovery. "You made a promise to us "that you'll restore unto us the years "that the caterpillar and the kenka worm "have stolen from us. "Restore your people, God. "Restore them in the name of Jesus Christ." Somebody say, "Amen." Listen, before I close this broadcast, I wanna give someone an opportunity to come to Jesus. He loves you so much. You know the word of God says for God? So love the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him. To not perish, but have ever lasting life. For God sent not his son into the world, to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. He loves you without any further hesitation. I want you to bow your head in humility and say this prayer to me. And say, "Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of God. "I believe you died on Calvary Cross for me." They murdered you in cold blood, buried you in a borrowed tomb. But on the third day, God raised you from the dead. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. In Jesus' name, I pray, amen. If you prayed that prayer with me and meant it with all of your heart, that made my beautiful wife past to Amy be the first to say to you, welcome, into the family of God. Your sins have been forgiven. If you were to breathe your last today, you would open your eyes in a place called heaven with Jesus. God bless you.
