Friday the 4th of October, it's episode 1368 of Walk to Walk to Work on Mobile Hearthstone podcast. They settle out of not giving a flip because you know family friendly podcast and all that. Also I had fun with the graphic. Settle out of not giving a in the next line flip. Everyone's like he's not going to, yeah well. But anyway this I think ties into the topic we were not talking about yesterday but the one we're talking about Tuesday with just you know life stuff and goals and they kind of thing. Well I didn't really talk about goals but just about how sometimes setting too big of a goal can be you can just set you up for disappointment. Also reaching goals can sometimes be disappointing like what do I do now? Well you set more goals but like really I don't know I feel like sometimes what I look to do in life is to be adaptable more than to have a concrete goal I'm shooting for. And sometimes I think about why that might be. For example a couple hundred years ago right you could be the strongest, the fastest, the prettiest person in your village and maybe that wouldn't be too difficult. It's probably a little bit difficult to take some work but it's doable right. But in this global village that we live in now you can't you can't be the biggest bestest any of those things very easily at all. Well you have to be incredibly blessed and fortunate enough to have the platform to be able to propel yourself to that point because you know if you're comparing yourself to people just in your village yeah maybe or maybe that's doable. And like if we were to tie this to competitive Hearthstone type stuff and I'm gonna have to draw a comparison to the time that the years that I spent playing Magic the Gathering competitively was that I could probably be the best player in my town. I wouldn't be the most talented player in my town I already knew that that was at least there were a couple other players a bit younger than me who just innately more talented. One of them a good friend of mine actually one of them I met by babysitting him. I think I was 15 or 16 and he was about 8 or something maybe 8, 9, 10 I can't remember. And it was babysitting them and then years later he came into the card shop and I was like oh my god it's Digby. What a great name though right Digby? It's Digby oh it's great. Oh he wants to play Magic oh that's how adorable he thrashed me and I was like whoa and then like we were friends for a very long time. I mean I'd still consider him a friend although I haven't talked on for a long time because you know that's how adult life works. He lives in a different country that kind of thing. Anyway I would always say that I would have to practice to get better results than him and the only way I could achieve that would be if he was not practicing as much as I was. If he was practicing as much as I was he's just gonna be better than me. But like you know that doesn't mean it's not a challenge I can't get better results than him because he was certainly more distracted by World of Warcraft and things like that than I was for a while. So I could definitely have better results than Digby and be considered a better Magic player than Digby if the stars aligned and I worked at it right. But if I start looking nationally like well there are definitely some much better Magic players outside of our city in New Zealand and I don't know that I have a ceiling that can get me to the point where I could be considered the best Magic player in New Zealand. I think if I'm winning the New Zealand National Championships which never happened by the way I made the top eight twice but if I was winning that it would be because you know the stars aligned and the sun shone fondly on me that day that kind of thing. Alright so and and as your your village expands and the internet clearly has expanded all of our villages quite a long way as it goes that far it just becomes less and less likely that you are in a position to be the best at anything. And so it starts becoming well if I can't be the best in anything what should I be? Well I mean obviously the long story short there is need to be content and you could be happy because that is really the only thing that matters and I keep seeing people banding around it's not so much a quote but an idea that it's like you know 200 years from now but let's make it a big enough let's say 300 just for the sake of 300 years from now no one's gonna remember your name and nothing that you own right now is going to be in position of anyone that you know and anyone even family of descendants of you are probably not even gonna know your name and like that's notwithstanding the fact that 300 years from now human civilization may well have burned itself out but like none of that stuff actually matters what your hair looks like today not really that important. It's funny because if you ever see pictures of me you're probably gonna see that I'll be wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans and these days I think white sneakers and I'm often always just wearing the same thing and this of course I'm like that's just what I'm comfortable wearing it's like do you have other outfits not really and I probably should but like when COVID happened like a lot of my tide hit clothes just sort of got smaller and older and I haven't really replaced them. If someone said can you shirt and tie up for a business thing I'd be like not very not very well anyway I don't really care like I just want to wear what makes me happy and how I feel comfortable and thankfully I work at a university so I have that flexibility no one's given me grief about how I dress or anything I'm certainly giving people dress grief with hate to end up dressed the same way as me one Friday there was a woman I think I believe she's slightly older than me ha just happened to be wearing a black t-shirt blue jeans and white sneakers and I was like matching matchy matchy today she's like oh gosh yeah and part of me's like did you put those clothes on knowing that there's someone else in the office who dresses like that I don't want to say have dibs on it it's just silly but like not really caring about what I look like and I do still care about what I look like in some regards because I keep putting myself on camera and like well I don't want people to I don't want people to go my god that person doesn't care for themselves but also I have a no illusions that I'm gonna look like George Clooney if I try a little bit harder you know what I mean it's like well just don't care about it because what's the other quote that goes around this one is a quote it's like comparison is the thief of joy and that's very much true like if I compare myself to someone and I go ha I'm better than them well it's not a very good joy you're getting there is it like if you're voicing that you're probably just put someone else down whereas if you compete you start someone else going well I'm not as good looking as them I'm not as good at magic as them I'm not as tall as them I'm not as fast as them I'm not as rich as them like all of those things like nothing nothing good comes of that and what you have to do is just aim to be aim to be happy with who you are and what you're doing and what you've achieved and and you know thinking that 300 years from now no one remember you like there's a way you can get remembered for 300 years or more and it generally involves mass genocide it's like that's not that's not a positive thing to put on the world right like I mean I guess there are other people who have done other things but not very many of them and if you want to be remembered like there are certain famous figures in society at the moment who certainly seem to be trying to go out of their way to be someone who is remembered in 300 years and I don't necessarily know that they're going about it a good way but anyway but beside the point what I'm bringing this back around to is the whole 11 times multiplier thing and why I've been quite comfortable being a 10 times multiplier player Tito Centano reached out the other day and said congratulations on being 11 times actually no I think I messaged him and he said congratulations and I was like I don't I don't think I want congratulations from an 11 times multiplier player I don't think I have changed in my ability to play I was always I think this caliber of player I was just not trying and I don't even know that I was necessarily trying this month either this last month I just played more and like before that I had some distractions whether it was doing reveal videos played a bit of water Warcraft for a while they haven't logged into that for a few months I do feel like I will again I guess just nice to be able to dip my toe in there and go oh yeah I get it that's the universe we're dealing with and it's fun sometimes I played a fair amount of Warcraft for rumble of course over the last year or two and I think probably less recently than maybe I did six months ago because I've completed the campaign and stuff like that I still play at a fair amount and I enjoyed a lot but you know there are just things ebbs and flows on how I'm spending my time and I think over the last couple months played a lot more hostile than I had the six months before perhaps and because the last month I played a lot of Hearthstone and there was no twist format for example when there was twist I was playing three formats in a month trying to get legend in three and I said trying because they remember the last month the twisters couldn't get off five and I was like why am I stuck on diamond five trying to get legend in all three formats just meant I didn't have time to play legend standard or wild whereas this last month I was like I guess there's no twist I guess I just keep playing legend it had fun with it which is good and then somehow wandered into eleven times territory but I don't think that's worthy of congratulations like congratulations you you spent your time more wisely as far as Hearthstone's concerned okay cool I mean I think if I was to finish a month in top 1000 in standard I was pretty close to top 200 and wild which is actually pretty good but if I stopped 100 and wild for example like that might be worthy of congratulations because I think I would actually have to try a bit harder which is also a totally fine thing for me to do if I want to do it but like my reasoning for doing what would my reasoning be just to self improve myself I think that's the only good reason like I feel like I want to get better about this I don't feel like I'm trying to be better than another person because that's obviously just an unhealthy way to look at things should always just be comparing myself to myself and just not really giving a flip because it's not important like how much money I earn not really that important if I'm as long as I'm paying the bills how much reach my podcast has not really that important it's one of those things where I used to look at the numbers a lot and go all right cool it's growing great and as far as I'm aware it's still growing like the thing is there's always attrition and I think my numbers are sitting pretty steady and have been for a few years which means we are still growing in audience and of course people fall off as they go do other things which is totally totally fine people come back sometimes yeah I think it's all right but I haven't really looked at the numbers so I don't really mind you know oh what about this you could do this to increase your YouTube growth yeah I could but the minute my focus is on trying to improve the numbers like I'm not enjoying it anymore and I only have as we talked about two episodes ago so much time in this world why would I spend time worrying about numbers for something that doesn't matter 300 years from now why not just have fun now enjoy what I'm doing now just don't give a flip just enjoy what you're doing now I think I think that's my attitude so what are we doing this month in Hearthstone if I haven't a living times multiplier the the joy of the climb I've accidentally thrown away by giving myself an 11 times multiplier because it's just easier to climb now although the first couple of days I was playing some mini decks and was losing it was like oh well then I played some good decks to complete some quests and then was climbing I'm like oh god it's too easy it's not too easy the competition is hard but I think the competition where I was playing it in 10 times multiplier was hard too it's like anyway I'm going to get to legend faster this month than I have in previous months provided I play a lot and you know maybe I'm not going to play as much in this month maybe there's other things I need to be worrying about Hagrid's Hagrid gift shouldn't be anyway like I think my plan is of course once I get to legend in standard in a while this month is to keep playing I'm like the only real goal there is to see if I can have a higher rank right I mean I guess also just have fun playing at the decks I enjoy playing and you know part of the fun for me is like and also just not tanking your rank just might as well not tank your rank but I'm never I'm never just picking the best deck actually I should do an episode on that too shouldn't I I have been thinking about that one the title would be the best deck for you sometimes the best deck for you is the best deck and that's fine and that's quite all right but for me the best deck for me is seldom the best deck it sometimes might accidentally be the best deck but it's always has to be the best deck for me before it is the best deck in the format if it just turns out the best deck for me is the best deck in the format then sure I'll play it but anyway let's not get too sidetracked on that because we're getting pretty close to the park but like for me I think it's important just not to give a flip about anything like I do give a flip about my children my children are gonna live on but like every now and get like talked about my dad a couple episodes ago right I was talking about my mum sometimes she she's one of those people who is worried about things that have been left to her like you know family heirlooms and things all just photo albums and stuff like that and she worries that if and when she leaves some of those things to me I'm not going to look after them the same way and the thing is is she's right because okay photos of her grandparents who I never met I like I have no real emotional connection to those and I don't think it's reasonable for her to expect that I do and I don't think if she sat down and thought about it rationally she would even think that she is but she's not thinking about it rationally she's just like well you can't can't just throw these out like no no no I guess I technically can't just throw these out but also my children care even less my children have never met the grandparents that I had known like that's a thing that is gonna happen it's the whole 300 years from now doesn't make a difference thing like but what does matter is how you treat people and how you engage with things and you know how you leave the world as you you found it you leave it better than you found it like if you are nice to people and kind to people and generous and all that stuff then maybe the people that you've been nice and kind of generous to will in turn be nice and kind and generous to other people like you're a positive impact on the world in that way and that even if my great great grandchildren if I have any who knows don't ever remember my name they might in some sense experience the kindness that I shared and the generosity that I shared and in a way they are remembering me even if they don't remember my name I think that is important to just be to not give a flip and just to be nice and kind and hope that that thing that you shared into the world is what continues as your legacy even if your name is not remembered and I think that's and that's really important and that's why I tried to give a flip now where are we all coming down to the park we should play some Hearthstone and badly he's like hmm I don't usually start playing just yet I'm usually like a 30 seconds to a minute away from that you know don't give a flip do it anyway actually know what I should do as a patron thank you I have the the phone open front of me and didn't do it I feel like I've forgotten a few of them this month actually in the last week let's start with joltic is it joltic or joltc I'm not sure but new patron so we should thank them so let's just get that in there now even though that the bottom of the list and they throw out my rhythm whoops well also next up is ridiculous hat so let's shout out to ridiculous hat I don't know how much there's a conflict of interest of them being patrons for other things while they're also the influencer manager for Hearthstone but I think he being a patron predated working pastor anyway really very much support that and to be fair his financial support is not nearly as significant to me as the amount of support he's provides as an influencer manager and the helping provides we're doing things but I'm sure we'll talk about that again some other days well and let's start on one more while we're here necrotam just to catch us up a little thanks to all of these patrons who are supporting the work that we do here because it does go a long way to help to free the costs I incurred doing this stuff now I'm muting the phone turning out the volume as I can say what I decided to play say oh that's right pipsy painter of paladin or pipsy paladin as I keep calling it pipsy okay like where's that from is it like when you go to kfc and you ask for a cook and they say it's pipsy okay because they don't sell coke I don't drink either of those things but I still heard them do it anyway welcome to paradise it's your time to unwind it is very nice weather today it looks like a really nice clear day and the next three days which is a long weekend apparently it didn't mean too much to me I guess but that is going to be very very very nice weather so apparently summer is coming in spring I mean the worst but here's the thing that happened the other morning we live in an apartment building and I was half groggy while I got working up because the kids they'll always wake me up early understanding the kitchen and someone turned a tap on so you hear that kind of hissing in the walls and my brain must took up for the sound of sicadas outside and I was like oh god it's not gonna be that hot as it oh I'm not ready for summer and then the tap to adopt was okay so it's not skaters but I don't think I'm ready for the hot weather comes in summer I like the hot weather that comes in spring not summer anyway top of the list things haven't played priest maybe and the next is like demon hunter maybe I just don't feel like playing you go to this classes don't give flip we're just gonna play the next which is paladin when I saw the paladin was stood from the top I like cool I actually like pipsy pain to have paladin are we gonna play that I don't always win with it but I did enjoy it I think like what I do enjoy is that's another episode I should do is the tourism mechanic walking home the tourism can it yes I should do it anyway I just like the road cars that we get to play a paladin that makes it feel better I like it but anyway we're gonna play that today can't remember where I am in the letter I don't know that I've lost any games in a while so far maybe I have but I've won quite a few and I've won a bunch of games I've also lost a few games and standard oh this weekly quest thing that we have for the latest event for celebrating the China server coming back like the one is like play 30 rush or win fury minions that's taking ages I mean I'm at 25 out of 30 on it right now but it's only because I've been like forcing playing death night because you can play the dreadhound handlers and rescue and like the version I'm playing is like a non-resil desert version so it has like text messages it has like what is it a ziliax right so it's got like four rush minions so I'm getting there but I've been playing that deck a lot and because I think you have to do this in ranked oh my gosh what a slog and it looks like it'd be really hard to complete the event if you don't do this anyway I guess pipsy pain to a paladin has some rush minions maybe not as many so we'll see if we can't get any more credit playing up this one anyway looks like we are set platinum I think it might be platinum platinum eight so we get down to platinum five it's four times yeah and then diamond three times and then to see yeah okay so platinum eight not bad pro set progress but it's because I've been playing a lot of death night which gives me death not wins against to get the resting wow is that quick cue I think the text message is going to be with my wife talking about something work related for her cuz you vent to your other so shouldn't really share that okie-dokie we got a druid opponent a robocaller in our opening hand that's an exciting one we'll keep that to funds a prismatic beam I don't think we keep that and a horn of the windlord there's only one horn of the windlord in the deck but I don't think we want an early hand and the last one was a high host of wing we had the coin so the question here becomes are we coining hi-ho civil wing on turn two or are we saving up something else I think we're probably saving up something else going to and maybe robocaller on three but we don't know like is robocaller drawing one card good enough I think it probably is actually to be honest but I think drawing two cards would be better drawing three cards would be amazing but I don't think we can bank on that but I think we don't coin hi-ho civil wing on one in case we need to coin robocaller on two for dramatic value so just keep civil wing let's keep robocaller cannot see what the druid kit sunlight sort of flickering on the screen we got back a living mountain to the 10 minus 46 taunt with divine shoulder gets cheaper for the number of cards you have and we've got back a divine brew there's a cactus construct for the druid so probably Reno druid I guess it's kind of a tough matchup ooh look order okey-dokey so turn one robocaller is dialing up 6 1 and 5 so 5 would be like Sankazelle and maybe something else I can't remember what else there is in the deck one is just like a miracle salesman another divine brew and six is like horn of the windlord so that's fine but we don't have two points so I think we just have to pass the turn like I think it's hard to remember what all the mana costs are also the nesser sunset in the nesser as well as fine anyway second lose order can we have a sex construct and take this one all right robocaller what do you got for us two six and seven now seven is good because you can get us can't get us marin we're just drawing marin but it can give us pipsy paint move and two can get us o-manage it which is totally fine and five as I said Linessa and or Sankazelle so I think that's a fine it's a shame that we are using the coin this early especially given they have two minions already out but I think coin robocaller works quite nicely here let's see what we got we got oh hi-ho silver wing as well okay and Sankazelle nice and oh yes amateurs peacekeeper excellent I can pass this now we got like a bunch of cards in hand they have a two one and a one one loot order so they can trade that for the robocaller because it's a 3-2 easy peasy that drawn a card I've drawn three we've got three marinex turn nothing really lines up very well we also have a glow sticks in hand I think I forgot to mention that so I think next turn well next turn the the living horizon is down to two mana in our hand so that's nice so they're innovating out a puppet nice to Dorian that had four mana next turn and the remaining loot order and play you probably should have pointed out first or trading in your loot order because it looked like anyway we're just drawn Sun's sappen Vanessa so we kind of want to set the glow sticks that we have in hand now because we can have a glow sticks and divine brew sort of play here we have both hi-ho silver wing so we're gonna have the other divine stick glow sticks and divine brew so at some point we're gonna have a good lens pop off turn if we can have like a manager to generate coins as well but for now I think we are just playing a two mana living horizon we have one mana left and like I could just play divine shield on myself with the brew but because we have lonesome hand like I think we want to save those because lonesome means whenever we play divine brew twice with each once in hand so at this point we just getting everything else out of our hand and building up to lonesome turn they traded their loot order in and drew a card taken to divine shield off our living horizon oh and then they played pendant of earth which apparently drew them a one mana yogs are on so they're taking control of the divine shieldless thing and that's playing a couple of spells Twilight torrent what did that do it hit me for three and then Dorian hit me to so that was a terrible turn for us I would throw another rober call us that's it to 8/8 and 8 that's not very useful we got four mana I think we're just playing two high-ho silver wings we have nine cards in hand if they die we get two more holy spells but we are quite behind on the board they have our four six taunt now they have a one mana yog they still actually have a full mana yog in hand too and they still have a Dorian so hmm that turn three this is playing two silver wings that turn three Dorian was pretty good even though I was like well you should have traded the loot order after playing the Dorian I don't think they drew the Dorian off the loot order maybe they drew the innovate anyway we've got our two high-ho silver wings they can use their one mana yog to make them bang into each other it's looks like there's exactly what they're doing take the shields off and then they can oh no they take each other so they're both doing anyway we've got another divine brood another glow six yog is cast stargazing and a horn of the horn of winter doesn't do very much now they're playing Malfurion's gift I'm guessing for a while growth yep and then they get to attack me for like looks like seven which will put me to not a lot a one mana in sendius created by pop master Dorian so unusual for druid to be playing in sendius so i'd say definitely highlands are druid but also yikes because now they have five eruptions in the deck and another in sendius hand in seven mana extent so we've got ten cards in hand we've got five mana we can play a stank as elbitt it's not particularly good stank as elb master rush to a four six taunt we're in a pretty bad spot really we're in seventeen they have a bunch of stuff in play what am i gonna do miracle salesman if the miracle salesman dies we straight up just uh be over drawing a card which is not the end of the world but there is some merit here too just biding time we have amateurs peacekeeper in hand we have lanesa and like part of he doesn't want to do it but i can divine brew make our glowsticks one mana use them to take out either Dorian or the mountain or even just wanting to take out the yog but then the yog is down to just oh my gosh but that's in sendius then sendius has made their five eruptions into two damage and if we leave it there for turn it's going to make them to three damage there's not a lot of good place for us so miracle salesman divine brew on our face holy glowsticks the incendius we can't afford to leave it there the yog is that make tentacles which i'm less concerned about so i don't think we need to use the second glowsticks we hear a power that's the other stuff 24 if we don't holy glowsticks the incendius now we're probably also not holy glow sticking it next turn and the eruption is getting to four damage that's not great especially if they're about to shuffle five more in they might do this turn nope they've just played seven mana i'm guessing it's a sleep under stars didn't see it but i can see the discover things coming up but basically this is not going very well for us at all they're head on us in mana a head on the board and uh we're almost powerless to stop them once our robocall is set to it's currently set to eight nine and zero so uh we ought to only have drawn two cards of that but it would have been our yog and our prismatic beam but we couldn't actually afford to play it last time we would have overdrawn at least one of those things anyway what have they done oh they so they played sleep under the stars refresh amount of systems twice draw two cards and then play the crystal cluster so they're at like 10 mana or something anyway they're attacking us i think oh they're trading to miracles thousand fair enough back up to nine cards in hand there's an o-manager so at some point if we play lonesome sun staple in there's an o-manager that'll deal two damage twice giving us two coins uh we play the coins they play twice that gives us four mana we can't do this till next turn so we need to figure out what we're doing this turn not a lot of great place for us but i think what we're probably going to do is sankazelle use the divine ruba use last time instead of the full one because you want to save a full one when you're playing lonesome so we give sankazelle divine shield that's all of our mana spent it attacks into the four five living horizon turns into a location which then buffs the silver hand recruit that they simply silver hand recruit trades in any way and then we can use our sankazelle to attack with the yogg so even though the yogg is down to tentacles and they didn't even use it like that it's gone now and sankazelle's hiding is a location again so still have Dorian they've drawn an eruption ha ha Dorian i mean sankazelle was hidden from the eruption i still took two damage to my face that didn't feel very good so Dorian's still there their hand is pretty full there's the second and sendius so they have nine eruptions in there at the end of this turn four of them will do three and five of them will do two y'all actually now they're playing new horizons gosh and Dorian goes face pretty instant seventeen okay rubber callers just don't hang up i didn't realize that she's six zero and seven and i think that's very useful i think we're going lonesa and uh we're going lonesa we're playing our manager on the incentives because we can't allow that to buff any more of their things and then we're doing coin and then coin again we're careful on my hand size here let's give them a message divine shared with the full brew how am i doing this going to the translation this is a bad idea uh we can blow sticks on the incentives to finish it uh we've still got some mana left okay where's my transit card okay i guess we should play another divine brew probably on ourselves okay that gives us divine shield and some attack another two drink divine brew i'm going to answer those issues yeah i've got ten cards and hand whips but i have got three attack so i guess we just attack into the Dorian so it's damaged so our hand now is ten cards we have a metal detector we have a snake oil we've got one two three fours one drink brews i probably should have used one of the one drinks last instead of a two drink on a five-one drink brews we're going to marry the manager we got an amethyst peacekeeper and a robo-crawler and next turn we have seven mana eight mana they are playing another hang on a minute is that a second sleep under the stars okay so maybe not Reno so just ramp through it with cactus constructors by the time you say go fair enough doing a lot of refreshing mana crystals they've got 11 mana they drew two cards and refreshed twice so they must have been like 12 mana this game at this point there's a virus perfect zilliex Dorian and texan zilliex takes out lonesa there's a one mana some a flat child not finale but it still draws them two cards and Dorian gives mix up they've overdrawn marina manager there's a one mana a another lathwinder look i said i was in trouble a few turns ago but now they're refreshing up for their 12 mana crystals again if i said they're forging something there's another summer flower child oh i guess it's probably igneous they're playing a trail mix another new heights so what you're going to have like a seventy billion mana next turn gosh we've overdrawn a seashell our uh this ain't because our location is back open which is fine there's a train coming we are dead but uh let's see how we go robo-crawler four five and eight cost i mean if i play them i'm going to overdraw bunch stuff play it four could get us uh the what's that thing called the the con man and the con man is only truly great after amateurs so we have to play amateurs this turn i'd now make all their minions two twos that's not exactly that good and there's illiex we still just kill it i don't see any really good plays out of this to be honest i think what we're going to do is we're going to play marin marin's going to give us zara's crown to discover a legendary one we can't play at this turn and then we just give marin plus three attack and rush and uh the sinkers are going to tackle sinkers ale so marin could attack into yogg so let's just give marin divine shield we've taken to the four uh five five point as well and then sinkers ale can attack into yoggs take the shield off sinkers ale will die of course but that's all right so i'm on 25 they have uh nine ten eleven twelve sixteen attack that can go face and an e-n-r one mana e-n-r by the way one one e-n-r uh they can't go face but can still heal them they're on 30 not but it matters can draw them cards not that matters they got eight cards in hand they can play another e-n-r they don't really have the board space for doing anything my nine six uh marin is sitting duck but we have zara's crown in hand we're going to use it next turn to discover a legendary that saves us i'm very sure what it is a photographer from fizzle created by pup master dorian so that means there's a second fizzle in hand i've just taken the photo op so they can technically go infinite now if they want but uh they'll kill us long called in they're trading a five five taunts in a one one uh whatever that well one one summer flat child into my uh my uh what's that thing called to get our marin marin uh i hope they've drawn a couple of eruptions two eruptions three eruptions mark goodness we're taking they have four eruptions because there are a few of them in the deck five eruptions great that was only five so we turned to fourteen we're on fourteen now and they're going to take us now for what looks like 13 and they're refreshing my chris they've got 15 marin now but only one board space i'm on four it's not good for us listeners it's not good for us uh there's a watcher of the sun so that's what they forged gives them a holy thing and heals them a bit of matters and uh hero power they're going to put us to three they still have 11 unspent marin this turn so we are dead but let's see what we draw there's a conniving con man conniving con man can get us a divine brew right we call it can give us four zero and zero so he can get us another con man not that that's very useful all right zerox crown we've only got nine marin this turn whereas they've got like a limited billion and sendius tear gorgonzormu a lot of battle cries there so none of that helps so we are in fact here sadly so there's our incentives we play our own and sendius we've got three and sendius in play that means we've shuffled five eruptions in those five eruptions are getting plus one damage at the end of turn three times so they all do four damage if we draw them they've overdrawn igneous ha ha six to be them we're on three uh oh they went face and beta they could attack each of our minions and kill each of our minions and then probably still find lethal in play let alone in hand so uh yeah that wasn't going particularly well for us never mind i think that's uh not a good match up for us druid whether it's reno druid or ramp druid it's just really good at beating other dicks that can go late as the terrible at beating aggro so pain warlock uh aggro demon hunter terrible at beating those which is why they play cactus contract i guess that they have a chance but i think they're really good against everything else and i don't know that we stood much of a chance there we did things we played things we even played like a turn three four six divine shield but you know what they got they got a one-minute jog after we played a turn three four six divine shield like there's not really very much beating that that gave them a much better board than us uh and then they were also ramping so that we were way behind i don't think we stood much of a chance there at all which is unfortunate but that's how that goes sometimes and that's fine don't give a flip i don't actually give a flip because like it's declined to legend like i'm going to gain a billion stars when i win and lose one when i lose like it doesn't really matter i mean like actually i mean that's actually something i should have touched on today and didn't as well as like losing doesn't matter because in this game you will lose a lot remember last week when i beat luka with the uh what they the golden celebration card back that's a really good player but the game is balanced in such a way and has enough randomness to it that i am going to beat that person sometimes and that feels good for me good content i guess uh but also it doesn't feel good for them but like the those high-end players those really good players they get to the point where they're like that's fine i'm gonna lose some of the games if i if i can win 55 or 60 percent of my games i'm doing incredibly well and by winning 55 or 16 of the games i'm still losing 40 to 45 percent of my games you just have to accept those oh i lost this one this one against a druid who had a great draw uh just totally better than my draw i couldn't do anything that i really truly wanted so they won that happens i don't give a flip and i think that's the attitude that we should all take because it doesn't really matter and honestly if you were to ask me how to a get to legend or b get to a 11 times multiplier it's that you have to not give a flip you just have to go i have losses happen sometimes a bunch of losses will happen in a row and you have to still not give a flip and just keep playing and you'll either get where you want to go or you won't or 300 years from now no one will even remember what Hearthstone is and it doesn't matter and it's fine don't give them flip it's life is so much better if you don't give a flip you'll be happier if you don't give a flip you'll be more content and you won't ever get to your death bed and be like i wish i'd done this down the other evening ask cool i'll survive anyway it's time for me to sign off i think i've let a couple of trains go but i'm sure there'll be another one here in just a moment a
