Number one, G back nation on 1053, the fan as the Tigers now lead the Astros three zip in the bottom of the second inning and Iran launching about 180 missiles at Israel. It's a major global story as we begin the show of this afternoon with you general at your service. There's Broadus, Lucius Alexander was in the Pimp Cup at master control. You do have Zack Wollchuck in the house, although his nosebleed brother, Eric Chiafalo, he's under the weather, he has succumbed to the virus. Yeah. It is a ravaging workplaces around North Texas and he woke up with quite a fever and two of his little ones are sick too. So ascend into some well wishes on social, let them know that he's missed how the heck you guys doing. Good well, sir. Do it well. It's a TD Tuesday. It's a toxic Tuesday. Boy, there's a lot of toxic stuff going on in the national football league right now. Yes, there is, man. We look forward to covering that NFL news today coming up at three o'clock. You'll have an addition to football's finest at five, even with the chief out, Brian looks like the school will just got hit in the hand. He might be some discomfort here. I think he took a liner off his office hand. Let's see if he can continue into this game. Talk about a potential turning point. Yeah. Binches out there. It appears that the medical staff is looking at him because at the thumb area, maybe like he's trying to grip and that's his pitching hand. He's left handed pitching hand is it? I thought he just said I'm fine. I'm reading lips. He said I'm fine. He's got. He doesn't want to come out of this thing. Right. AJ Hinch. Yeah, you just go up here. He got hit in the glove. Yeah, he got hit in the glove. Yeah. He'll be fine. You play through the playoffs now. You play through a broken hand. Oh. Oh, I see. He was at his torso is right back up the middle with this torso and he tried to do that move where you kind of put your glove on your belly and put your chicken wing in a little bit, but he couldn't get it inside fast enough and it looked like the meat of the thumb there on the right hand, but non pitching hand. This guy's incredible. Scooble. Yeah. I probably saw young winner this year. Yeah. ERA just barely scorn on this guy. If he doesn't give up a home run that chances are, you know, you're looking at two runs or less. They're over six innings. And he is dialed here this afternoon as the the Tigers are in Houston where I don't remember the last time the Astros won a home game in the playoffs. That's true. You know. So they're screwing at this point. Yeah. It's probably the DS series. I mean, the Rangers won every single game last year in the ALCS and now they're down three nothing in the top of the second. So not looking good for Houston right now. The Cowboys are signing pass rusher KJ Henry on a two year deal off the bingles practice squad per sources. He had a one and a half sacks last year for Washington and, you know, seeing some highlights of him on on Twitter, it doesn't look like it's it's much special Brian, but a, you know, serviceable body there to have on as an edge option. Yeah. The I went through. He was with the this summer. He was with the with the commanders. And so you've got to know he was a fifth round pick last year. And so Jeff Sugina, the defensive line coach, you know, would have would have coached him. So he kind of has a little bit of a working knowledge of the player. As I mentioned yesterday, my gang of seven, they gave me three names and to a to a group, they were they had him as the number one guy that if you were to go and try and sign somebody off another team's practice squad that he would be the guy to go get. So you have some familiarity with the player with the coaching staff, but you know, that's something. And I watched him in the preseason, you know, playing these games and stuff. You're just what you're trying to do right now is you're trying to get better than what you have with guys like wheat and you know, and see if you can add a little bit more depth to your to your group, they're down in numbers. Now maybe we thought that they would bring back Muhammad, you know, who they had during during training camp, but you know, it's good for them. You know, they said, Hey, listen, let's take an opportunity to go grab a guy from another team. What I liked about the guys, he's got really good length. He plays the run from all the players, it's over a hundred plays where he was playing this preseason and you know, the length is really good. The ability to play the run, I thought was good. He can get off blocks. He's got some lateral and Julie's a tall guy, about six, five, 270 pounds. And you see a little bit of that ability to chase on the backside when he's not blocked. Can he capture the edge? Yeah, he could get there, but you need a little bit better burst to close around the end. But you know, right now you're just trying to find depth pieces. You're trying to find some guy you have some familiarity with. You find a guy that's been playing the whole time too. You know, he's been on a practice squad with Cincinnati the whole time. So that means he's been working out. That's the most important thing. You don't have time for a ramp up period. You know, this guy was at, I was at the star this morning, he was already in getting ready to practice, you know, getting ready to practice for tomorrow, today being a day off, but he's here getting ready and you know, you're going to need bodies at this point, but this guy's capable because he's a young guy and he was a fifth round pick. KJ Henry, interesting. It's a two year deal. Maybe there's some competition for a service. Well, what you have to do is to convince these guys to leave, you know, I mean, he could stay. He could have stayed in Cincinnati and Cincinnati could have been competitive and said, listen, we don't want you to go. We'll put you on the 53 and, you know, maybe, you know, Duke Tobin and those guys at Cincinnati just said, now we can't do that right now. We don't have the ability and so, yeah, to get him to move, you got to offer a little bit more and they were able to pull that off. So the State Department is doing a briefing now as, you know, people are wondering what is the US position on this with obviously, you know, Iran having allies potentially in China and Russia that could get involved and there's much bigger implications than just Israel and Iran, which is already massive. And it's always crazy for me to watch the guys on the TV news that are on the scene in the city that is being bombed. You know, they have one of the breaking news stories of the decade, which is already adrenaline rising. Yeah, they're under attack, you know, and they're standing in there and delivering the broadcast. And I always thought that, you know, that looked insane to do, right? And as a broadcaster, I always thought, I don't know if I could accept that assignment. That would just be insane to try to work through that. I remember during the Gulf War, because I was working with NFL Europe. And I remember that because that's why I learned about Nick Robinson from CNN. That was the guy that'd be in the sand dunes. Yeah. That's the guy you talk about. Nick Robinson, like, okay, like they had guys that were, they had various CNN guys that were not not exact. I mean, they were height. I wouldn't say hiding, but they were in shelter. They were they were down. They were down, you know, kind of not not in harm's way. Nick Robinson is on the balcony, like, you know, and by bombs are just going off all around him, and he's reporting as these missiles are flying in and hitting the city and Baghdad and all that. And he and he's not even flinching. You know, he's just he's just kind of like, it's just like it's this second nature that's to stand here and report as stuff is just blowing up around you. But there's there's some correspondence, some history of war correspondences is pretty, uh, intense of the guys that that have done and ladies, uh, Christine on a poor was another one that would stand there in the middle of like massive attacks. Yeah. Bullets are whizzing and stuff. Like your natural reaction is like duck and cub. Duck and cub. I'm going to stand here. We're giving this damn report. People need it. Yeah. They would just they don't even flinch as stuff is just blowing up all around them. It's crazy. But what a what a tremendous job they do reporting on the news. Okay. So, uh, we'll update you as you know, things become available on that just in sort of a news format. I know it's quite a controversial story here. We have an issue when he polarizing opinions on this, but we do want to keep you abreast of the situation is a very significant global news story is happening as we open up today's edition of the G back nation. Okay. Devonta Adams, not saying much about his future with the Raiders amid trade rumors. It appears he is going to be on the move and, you know, he's not one to talk about it too much. Um, but, you know, I, I'd imagine sell like they're more open to it, right? Yeah. Yeah. This is happening. Yeah. I think the rate had Antonio Pierce like an Instagram post about it. Now Devonta Adams was on with K Adams earlier. I'll have the audio for an news the day at three o'clock. They apparently have not even spoken about this. So it sounds like there's a lot of issues going on there in Vegas. I mean, we had Antonio Pierce post game said some people were making business decisions after the last couple of weeks ago, maybe Devonta Adams is one of those guys. He's thinking, Hey, if you're not all in, if you're not with us, I don't need you here. Hmm. Yeah. That's an interesting one. Cause I, it could really tip the balance of power. Like if, if he would end up in Buffalo or, I mean, if he would go to Kansas City, it's over. Yeah. You know, so they would not do that. They would not trade him to Casey and division. Well, I kind of feel like you're in a situation where you're looking at it and you're going, what can we get for the guy? What's the max we can get for the guy? But if you're trading him for a first round picks, say in Kansas City, you're looking at pick 29 to 32, right? Mm hmm. Pretty much. Yeah. So you're basically trading him for a, an early two is what you're doing. So I wonder how involved that the jets will be in this now with you there and Roger. Yeah. You know, I mean, if you, if you want to, to me, I, it would make a lot of sense that you know, the jets might be the team that might not be that pick might be a lot better for you in the long run where it is positioned. Yeah. Yeah. And the jets obviously could use some offensive help. Yeah. A Monday night football last night speaking of offense, it was just amazing to watch the Lions and Seahawks offense. I mean, the design, the execution and the talent, you know, the talent is a massive difference with both those rosters. It's amazing. The Cowboys beat both of them late last year and apparently losing Tyron Smith, Biotis, Tony Pollard, maybe in the retirement of Michael Gallup has just has set this offense back significantly when it comes to explosive plays. I think the Cowboys are second worst, only better than Chicago in the, in the NFL, but yeah. Detroit wins 42, 29 Jamison Williams, Amunra, St. Brown, Sam Laporta, Montgomery and Gibbs at running back and Tim Patrick. That's amazing. That seems built to win. Yeah. They, they've done a really nice job. If you remember Detroit, I don't think they really had any toughness. You know, I'm no, apologies to John Machota, who's probably listening right now. Who's a Detroit Lions fan. I think there's a lot of Lions fans that would disagree with you. Well, no toughness back in the day. Yeah. I don't, I don't think there are. I mean, I think you're a hundred percent right. Yeah. I was watching them last time. I'm like this. This is a, this would fold. Like they, they don't perform well. Yeah. And even, even early in, in, in this head coach's tenure, they lost a lot of close games. And then all of a sudden they kind of figured out how to win and they bought in and I, and I think the game that kind of started this thing all off, because they went to a game at the end of the year and played the Packers and the Packers had everything to play for. Mm hmm. And as Aaron Rodgers last game in Green Bay, and it was a regular season game in Detroit with nothing to play for when in their beat and beat the Packers. And from that point on, it's like they have just developed, you know, Brad Holmes and those guys have just drafted a team that's got a lot of toughness and it's taken on the personality of their head coach. Yeah. That is a, you know, Aaron Glenn is a tough minded defensive coordinator, you know, Ben Johnson up and coming with a play caller, matter of fact, turned down jobs so he could stay, you know, cause he's looking for the right situation, but they got a great staff. They got tough players. That's a tough minded team. Yeah. And there's a reason why they were in the NFC Championship game last year. I mean, in just big hits, you know, on their, on their, on their defense with a Anseloni and Hutchinson, you know, like you got to have these plays a really good player. It's been really good. Yeah. Very hard. I had a couple penalties last night, but still played pretty well. Kirby Joseph's good. Yeah. Kirby Joseph's a great player. They've got, they've, they've done it. I mean, they've given up, you know, they gave up some plays, but Seattle, Seattle's got a good team too. Seattle's, I mean, they're rosters comparable and they were down some defensive starters, but they're roster stacks up amongst the best in the league. Yeah. Yeah. And I like this, this Kenneth Walker, you know, good running back. Yeah. I had three times a day. 12 carries for 80 yards. John Snyder will draft him some running back. So one, two punch right there. Yeah. Okay. So, you know, I think looking at that, it's obvious the Cowboys need more speed in playmaking, right? It's like going into this coming up draft. You can't get out of the first two rounds without a new wide receiver. Yeah. I don't think you should get past the third round without adding a running back. It's just, it's funny when you watch the Cowboys play offensively. It's such a struggle for them to get yards. Yeah. It's just a struggle and you watch other teams that have flow to their offense. And it's not just all about creativity and stuff like that, emotions and stuff, but what it's about is taking advantage of the guys that you do have. You know, we've seen OTA practices and mini camp practices and training camp practices where they've used their quickness in practice to try and, you know, oh, that looks pretty cool. That's a nice little creative little wrinkle they have there. And then you don't see it. And it's like a team that's just fighting for just any yard. Everything is so tough where you see others create opportunities for their guy. We saw in the Giants game a little bit, they created an opportunity, you know, for, for cooks. They finally ran one play that maximizes this set. They threw, they threw a screen pass in the, in the Ravens game. They threw another, you know, they've thrown, they've thrown stuff to try, but you wonder where is that all the time? Yeah. You, if you're limited with some of your talent, find ways to maximize what they can do. And that's where I think that this team lacks. Mike McCarthy was asked about, you know, the motion, which the Cowboys are dead last or second to dead last at his presser yesterday. It went viral. The answer is just incredible. It's the biggest bunch of BS, it's becoming hilarious to watch him and the Jones is try to answer very fair general questions about their approach or the specifics of their football team. And they're just doing verbal gymnastics, trying to avoid it because they really don't have a good answer, you know, um, so we'll have a Cowboys Twitter coming up at four. We'll have this C note, Cowboys news of the evening coming up at 320 salute to Wyatt Langford, bang, bang, became the first rookie to win the AL player of the month since 2017. Last Ranger to get it since Shin Su in 2015, OPS of 996 for the month hit eight bombs. So yes, he's on track to, you know, be the first or second best Ranger. I think it's what we're looking at going in the next year. And we're keeping an eye on these baseball games. The Tigers lead the Astros. It's three zip bottom of third with one out, Astros got one on. Okay. G bag of the day is coming up at two 30 here on the fan, uh, some NFL power rankings. Next. We'll check. Yeah. Where are the Cowboys in the latest NFL power rankings and just how far down have they fallen in the NFC? That's next in the nation. All right. Uh, let's do this. Uh, G bag nation, some NFL power rankings here, G bag of the day coming up at two 30 segment of the nation is brought you by cars for kids, donate the day cars for kids die to work. So all right. Maybe that's working for you. Lamar. I don't know. Would you rub some of that on you, Brian? Probably not. No, not interested. Probably not. No skin rejuvenation for you. Nah. Can I see some test cases? Some results. I do not see my, that's kind of what my old school was. Noxema. Noxema for you. Yep. Worked well. It looks smooth. Okay. Let's get to the power rankings. I don't think it's a bad thing. I don't think it's a bad thing. I don't think it's a bad thing. I don't think it's a bad thing. I don't think it's a bad thing. I don't think it's a bad thing. We could use San Francisco, Washington, Green Bay, Philadelphia, New Orleans, all ahead of your Cowboys. Do you think they're better than any of those teams? Maybe Philly. Yeah, they might be better than Philly. Maybe it was better than Orleans. Who was the team you said before Philly? New Orleans? I was out in Green Bay. Green Bay. Might be better than Green Bay. Maybe. Yeah. They're not quite who they thought they were. The commanders, huh? Yeah. You're riding that train. I'm trying to tell you. Oh, yeah. Commanders will smoke you. I mean, how do you think they're going to defend Jaden Daniels and his running ability? Guys, like, throw in the ball 80% of the time, I mean, he's just like 80% completion percentage. Oh, yeah. But you saw it with Lamar getting lead. You think Dan Cohen doesn't know how to get it, take advantage of this defense, this personnel? Man, you think you know, Iran doesn't know how to slow down the Cowboys offense. It's real easy. Yeah. Just play the pass. Trust me. You will stop the running game. I mean, it's an issue. I'm not laughing at you anymore. The only teams that are ahead of Atlanta and I don't know, would you take the Cowboys to beat the Falcons? Yes. You would. Yes. I think they can run the football on you. You get to play them here coming up. Yeah. We've got a new game. We'll love that. It's going to be a tough game. I mean, lining up without tank and Micah and you got to go up against Beijon. Your hate is trip to Pittsburgh this week, aren't you? I'm not happy about it. Not excited. Although they're not scary offensively. They can't run the football in their quarterback. You might pull this one off. This might be one of the ones they could pull off. Yeah, you might pull this one off. Steelers offense, not very good. But the rest of this conference, I mean, the Rams, the Cardinals, the Giants, these are the teams you're ahead of. Two beat up. All those teams are two beat up. I know the Rams. The Cowboys are pretty damn beat up, Brian. Yeah, I know. That's what I'm saying. You're a beat up team. You are. And I don't know that you're much better than anybody in this conference right now. That's the sad thing. You just barely beat the Giants and that's a game you probably could have lost. They got to do a lot of soul searching right now if they want to have a hope to make the most season right now, this is in the playoff team. Thank you, wall check. Wow. NFL power ranking. So I think the text pretty much agrees with you. 903 says someone get the crust out of crusties ears, may need to shave them to for full clarity. Cowboys ain't getting to the playoffs. I just asked a question. I didn't. I wasn't implying that I thought they were going to get there. I felt that you implied it. Did I? What do you think? I'm aligned, Brian. Are they a playoff team? Oh, I said they were we as a show. You said they were nine and eight and probably not in. Yeah. It was going to be 10 wins. We're going to win this division. That's what we said as a show about time you took a stand. I believe that I believe in my team flip flop and over there, Brian, I am really off the fence. Hey, let Lucius get to his program there time now to go into the pimp cup. Here's Lucius. The G bag of the day for his program there for like I should have started with some Mr. Rogers. Yeah. For my program here, ladies and gentlemen, take my shoes off. Take my sweater off the hat. Before I play with my train set and talk to the kids, I got to take my shoes off. All right. Let's see here. Man, our winner day two for G bag of the day, the NFL crew on Fox. They pranked Gronk. They created a fake tight end. Now every time we play this, the toes will want to let us know that they use the name of a wrestling promoter. Okay. Okay. So let's please acknowledge. Jeez. Please acknowledge it. Because that matters. Anyway, they pranked Gronk, but Gronk was standing on his business though. So they were talking about Tony Gonzalez. They're talking about Gronk. I don't think he's Gronk. Gronk. Where do you list Russo is like among the Titans playing today, at least? Oh, you know, he's been out for a little bit. So he might be a little rusty coming back, but I think he's there going to give him the opportunities. That's for sure. But also they got Ferguson as well. They're going to be a one, two combo. Yeah. But here's the thing. Ferguson has been the guy because only because Russo has been hurt. You got to admit with Russo coming back, it just changes their offense. Yeah. But Ferguson has been showing that he's the guy right now. They're going to still feed Ferguson. He's the only guy in the league that has two fingers missing on his right hand. That's why he's been out and he's back now. So is that going to affect him when he's touching the path? I don't know. You tell the guy. I still have all five of my fingers. You know what? I'll tell my fingers. All right. All right. This is a joke. Rich Russo does not play for the Dallas Cowboys. I was wondering. Was that live? I was wondering what in my mind like. I was going to say, right when they was done, I was going to say, guys, I never heard of his face. He looked like a deer in the headlights. Yeah. He did look like that. I just, real quick, if I could, Fran Fuscello was, he was the international basketball scout during the draft. And one time they, the Lakers drafted a guy in Fran Fuscello on TV went, I've never heard of this guy. Instead of making up a scouting report, he just says, guys, I've never heard of this guy. Who the hell that is? And they went back to you at the table. Okay. I don't know who that is. Yeah. No disrespect to this man. But I've never seen this man before in my life. You know, yeah. There you go. Was it when the Mavs drafted, uh, saw them sing? No, it was, it was, but it was like, I was watching it and the Lakers took a guy in Fran Fuscello. They went to him. Fran told us about the guy and he goes, I have never heard of this guy. I have no idea who this player is. And I'm like, all right, Fran, I feel you, man, because I've been there. Yeah. It'll happen. It'll happen to you. Yeah. I mean, it happened to the Rangers a couple of years ago when they took Evan Carter. Nobody on the upbeat network said and heard of him. Yeah. Terry Bradshaw killed that bit by the way. He didn't kill the bid. I added all the one hand. Yeah. Yeah. Cool. Man. Do you think that could affect him catching passes? Yeah. You killed a bit, bro. Jake Lager did a great job. You say the bit could have been extended if Terry doesn't speak up, right? It would have been fire, man. Yeah. Yeah. Go on. Let's see how long grok can be. Yes. You know what I mean? Yeah. All right. Let's see. Woolley sent me this one yesterday. I didn't get around with playing it, but bangles wide receiver. Jamart Chase, 63 yard touchdown. He's an awesome player. He was slippery. He was. And he said this before a long time ago that he uses baby oil out there so they can't grab them. That's like a secret weapon. But baby oil is hot out in these streets because of Puff Daddy. Puff. Yeah. He's buying an in bulk apparently. Hard to source it these days. Yeah. I'm going to take Costco. So those darn reporters, you know, doing what they need to do. Did you have baby oil on today? No. That's we got to keep that for somebody else, bro. Yeah, that's not my question right there. I didn't do it as a kid though. We can't even ask that no more, bro. There's too much going on in life right now with this, with that man. No, didn't. Oh, Mars having fun. That sucks, man. It does. You could have got a good show of good like endorsement with baby oil, but now Puffie doesn't ruin the brand a little bit. He's going to be out here like I got baby oil. You can't do that no more. So see me with that. Yeah. Every wide receiver in the league is going to take a baby oil bath though. What did I say? Baby oil bath? Yeah. I would. You know. Works for Jamar Jay. Delivery. KSC masterpiece, KMC masterpiece. They do masterpiece of the week on Fridays. I was listening last Friday and I was like, what the hell? What's going on this during the segment? Well, Sean Sharif said this during cross talk yesterday. Him painting an alley. Yeah. Alec wins. Three way or G. Oh, what? What? What? That was during cross talk. He was trying to get a producer off. Wow. Huh? That came off. Geez. This whole, that whole thing was cringe. When shock joccan goes wrong. What? What? What? I don't think one important. Anyway. That was confusing. That was wild. Is that a Friday show? Yeah, that was definitely a Friday. It's loose energy. Friday, Friday. We have to buffalo wildlings. Yeah. Hey. Hey. I'm back at edibles. I'm back at edibles. Shout out to the fair. I'm telling you. You're still eating? Yeah, man. I'm still hungry. Delicious. Hey, I learned something about Lucius downstairs on the fifth floor. Those guys are broadcasting from the fair every day that it's open. Oh, yeah. We used to do that. When I worked at K104 out there in the sun, right by that stage or the stage is by the Chevy situation. They're by the funnel cake place. Yes. We used to be over there just broadcasting. Bro, it was beautiful other than the sun. Every day they're broadcasting the fair broadcast. That was fun. Put on about 40 pounds working out there. So much content. Yeah. Yeah. Our thing was at the time. Losch is on a stick. We'll make fun of you. I'm just one. We're still trying to buy somebody. He will sell some sticks. Yeah. Make fun of us. We're killing time on the radio. Let's go to Met's color analyst Keith Hernandez. He has coined a new phrase for the corner bunt. I've never heard of a corner bunt. Push it. Push it to the third. Is that what that is? Push the third. I don't know, man. I don't know. They just told me to get out there and run the basis. Yeah. Get out there on the second. Get the third. All right, here we go. This is going to get a lot of left-hand hitters. Freelick bunted himself into a corner. Oh. That's what you did. Oh, okay. It's like ****. So now one out. I'm going to play for you again. You bunted himself into a corner. Yeah. Aaron Hernandez has coined a new phrase for the corner bunt. This is going to get a lot of left-hand hitters. Freelick bunted himself into a corner. That's what you did. Yeah. That's what you did. Yeah. It's like ****. So now one out. Holy cow. See you next Tuesday right there. That's what he called it right on the broadcast. Keith Hernandez. Right there on the broadcast. When shock jockeying goes wrong, part two. Is it the NFL crew on Fox, uh, pranking Gronk about rich Russo, the WWE promoter turned tight end. That's what they wanted me to say right? Yeah, man. They just get good guys. Guys. Guys. You're missing the story here. Guys. See it's crossover from wrestling to the real sports world. Is it a wide receiver? Jamar Chase was not using baby oil, but still had a 63 yard touchdown. A KMC masterpiece there. Sean Sharif stepped in it. Keith Hernandez. Wow. That's an FCC violation if I've ever heard. 100%. Dude. That might be the granddaddy of them all. I'm going to vote for Keith. It might be the worst I've ever heard on the radio, I'll vote for it. I'm going to write with the, uh, the NFL on Fox crew, pranking Gronk. Bully, whatever the heck we heard during crosstalk with the morning show in KMC. Brian KMC. Yeah. Buy a score a two to one to one and your new G bag today champion. It's the KMC RJ choppy crosstalk there happens every morning at about 945 right here on your home of the Cowboys and Rangers. Yeah. Uh, okay. A crusties corners coming up in about an hour. Little rim session next. We'll check. Let's do it. We got media days. Math story lines to watch is training camp opens in Vegas. That's next. Yes, sir. Thank you, Lucius. Che back nation here. 105 three the fan. The NBA seasoned fast approaching. Very exciting here to be on the radio talking about these Dallas Mavericks. Here's we'll check. Thank you very much. Let's go ahead and cut the lights out. Put the kids to bed and let's go all the way around the rim. Gosh, it's been too long as your Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks get ready to go ahead and win. Larry O'Brien's trophy this year. And that is the theme championship said Luca Donchich. That's the goal. That's the expectation. Kyrie Irving saying like I feel like our dreams can be possible because he's here now. Who's the he? That'd be Clay Thompson. He's added a great value to our championship aspirations. And Mike Curtis of the morning news is a great job covering the Mavs. And well, one of his big five things to look at here as training camp gets going in Las Vegas. It is the fit of clay Thompson. Now clay is expected to start, but listening to Kyrie and listening to Luca talk about the addition of clay. It is exciting. I mean, Luca is saying when me and Kai, when we have the ball, you basically can't help off of clay. Because if you leave him wide open, he's going to make it. So I think the spacing is going to be crucial for us. But more of that, I will tell you after a couple of games, I think the question is defensively, how much does clay Thompson have left? Does he end up being a liability to where then maybe they are forced to play more of Quentin Grimes and Najee Marshall? But the depth of this team is the best it's been probably since they won the championship in 2011 with the addition of Spencer Dinwitti, who will get to a moment. But to me, I mean, I'm less of critiquing what clay Thompson does in the regular season unless it just looks god awful. To me, this is all about how does clay look in the playoffs? Does he then give you what you lacked against Boston, which is somebody that can shoot from a high rate on the perimeter and that championship grit and toughness at this team clearly, hey, they made it through the West, but you saw they were lacking against the Celtics. Yeah. You know, I feel like though they're talking about clay Thompson, like he was the pre injury version of himself like five years ago, you know, I think that's fair. Like we don't have to dwell on what clay Thompson isn't. We can appreciate what he is. But at the same time, guys, you know, this isn't a guy that's going to fix everything and it brings up a lot of very interesting questions about what, what is the optimal, not only starting five finishing five, but what's your eight or nine man rotation looking like? How much can you have clay in the game with Kyrie and Luca? I'm glad they have a quality coaching staff like they do to figure this out. I'm glad they have clay Thompson instead of what they had last year. I think this is a step in the right direction. But to me, we'll check they have not built a better team than Boston yet. I don't, I don't think clay Thompson is, is going to reverse what we saw in the finals, which was a very impressive Celtics domination. Yeah, it's hard to say that they've built a team better than Boston. I would agree with you. I mean, the Celtics just looked like an absolute juggernaut, but my hope is if indeed that ended up being a rematch, you will have Derek Lively, who I think is going to be a big jump this year from where he was a year ago. And I'm the most excited about live over anything else. So this time is bringing back. And then, you know, now you've got Luca, who hopefully grew and learned throughout that entire postseason run. You add in a clay Thompson. You already had Kyrie, who was really the only one with any experience, some depth like a din witty who can step up maybe at you 20 randomly. I mean, you just had a lack of offensive help around Luca. I think they did a better job of that. So I'm with you. I'd still go Celtics one, but I think the Mavericks did a good job of trying to close the gap. The tip is when you have a player, the caliber of Luca, maybe that could be enough and he can just take over a series for you. You made yourself better. There's no doubt with the addition of Grimes Marshall and Thompson compared to what you have last year. They're better. I'm picking them to win the West again. Yeah. I think they are the best team in the West. And again, that's going to be difficult. I mean, we'll see you then. The new additions that Minnesota's made with that trade now with Carl Anthony towns. How does Julius Randall fit in? If he can stay healthy, if he can stay healthy, maybe Julius Randall is a good fit with Anthony Edwards. I don't know. But I mean, they were able to knock off Denver. That you made yesterday. You just beat the nuggets. I mean, the nuggets are still the team. We haven't seen the Mavericks play in a seven game series. That would be an interesting matchup. If indeed that were to happen, I think Denver's still the team with yokech that you fear a little bit, but Dinwitti is back in the fold. And last year, he made headlines after he got bought out the decision to go signing with the Lakers. He said, let's say you're a kid and you get your ass whooped by the bully Dallas would have been like your mom. I like, it's okay, baby. Lakers are like your dad. No, you better go out there and fight till you win. Well, didn't we got ahead of it immediate days yesterday on re signing with the Dallas Mavericks. Anytime, you know, I've kind of been knocked down, I try to take, you know, the harder path and not necessarily make it harder on myself, but just in terms of like that growth, right? And you know, so when I made obviously, which everybody's going to ask about the comments is all about comfort zones. It was funny because both LA and Dallas fan base is kind of thought it was like about them. But it really wasn't. It was like, man first bully, you know what I'm saying? So given what happened with Brooklyn, it being top five multiple categories, you know, points and threes and assists and to kind of have that exit play out like that, obviously, you know, sucked, hurt, you know, all those other things. So I was, the perspective was man first bully. It really had nothing to do with either fan base to be honest. And yeah. So that was it. I never stand and try to take it with a harder path in terms of just growth. And so far in my life, that's pretty much certainly well. You know, I like Spencer Denwood. He's wisdom is approaches, maturity, professionalism. It's all 10 out of 10. That was a reach. He's in a tough spot. He's at all summer to think of a good answer. Yeah. And that wasn't it. So bad answer. I mean, both fan bases thought it was about themselves. Well, I mean, the question was, right, why did you decide the Lakers over the maps? It was all good, man. Just shoot that three ball, 38% and we'll be cheering for you. I'm happy to have him back. I mean, I think he's also probably an underrated defender. I mean, the eight five eight does not think that the Mavericks are deeper. I don't know how you can look at this roster, even if you don't think plays any good and not say the Mavericks are a deeper team. Yeah. You just don't know Graham's Marshall. That's fine. You know, they're random role players on non playoff teams, but they are elite defenders that can space the floor well enough and plays better than Tim Hardaway Jr. By far 100% right THJ could not get on the floor. You added three players that will be part of your postseason rotation. So I think in the apps, if you don't think that they got, they closed the app to Boston, that's fair, but they 100% got better. I think you're just hating on the maps and that's all right. It is also Lucas seventh year. Is it lucky number seven for number seven seven years already, huh? Yeah. Wow. This is the lucky lucky number seven could be. I like that tie in lucky number seven for 77 and then Kyrie's broken hand. That's not something we really have taught. We kind of forgot about that, but Kyrie he did undergo surgery, repair to broken hand. Does that have any impact on the start of the season? The map's first preseason game will be on Monday at home against Memphis. Yeah. So I don't know how much he's going to be participating in preseason, but hopefully that's something that's interesting. And then, you know, it has an impact. I mean, it just reminds you how fragile Kyrie has been throughout his career. He's been fairly healthy with the maps. He's going to be 33 next spring. So for me, it just puts more of an added emphasis on take advantage of this group that you have right now and get the job done. I'm very aggressive at the trade deadline. Yeah. Well, and last year, I mean, the additions of Washington and Gafford, you've got to trust that Nico will try and fill in any gaps on this roster at the bigs. I think, of course, I mentioned lively. What is he able to do in your two gafford now a full off season with the team full season with the team who emerges as your defensive anchor? I think that's going to be indeed Derek lively, but I think Najee Marshall, you lost Eric Jones Jr. That is going to be huge. Who's the guy that can step up and really guard some of those elite guards, you know, and wings. And that was something Derek Jones Jr. did better than most players in the NBA. Najee Marshall, hopefully on paper, is that guy that can fill that role for you and certainly be a pest. I will say as we conclude the rim session, the big disappointment was Jimmy Butler not continuing his tradition. Oh, he didn't. He didn't. Didn't do anything this year. Like last year we had Eric do the bet pay off to league asked him not to do something. Maybe. I don't know. I think he just, you know, maybe the bit had played out. He wanted to keep his guessing and he's unpredictable. No shenanigans. Didn't do anything this year. 2022, 2023. He did the Braves to the the Braves two years ago. Last year he did kind of the emo. Oh, look. Yeah, it was great, but nothing this year, which was kind of sad. There's your rim, Sesh. Well, thank you. Well, Chuck. We're we got some stars content on the way for you as well a little bit later on in the show. Crusty's corner is coming up in 45 minutes. C notes coming up at 320. We got a Dalvin cook update. I'll get you some Dallas stars in there as well. Okay. Right now it's time for the NFL news the day and here he is Zach Cowboys didn't make the official move earlier today, which we knew was coming, but they did put Demarcus Lawrence on IR for the Liz Frank injury does not need surgery, which is good news. And if you missed it, we highlighted at the beginning of the show, but former defensive end of the Washington commanders and Cincinnati bangles, most recently on their practice squad, KJ Henry has signed with the Cowboys. So trying to add some more depth there, Brian had a great breakdown about him during trustees corner yesterday and we'll get more crushes corner coming up in about 40 minutes. But last night, my gosh, tremendous Monday night football game. One of them was good. The other double header, not, not good. The dolphins and Titans game, although Tony Pollard did have himself a decent game. Will Evans got her Mason Rudolph comes in gets the win, but this dolphins offense just looks completely inept. Mike McDaniel afterwards as they have fallen to one in three. They have technically not led for a single second because when they beat the jags week one, it was on a field goal walk off as time expired. So they now ranked 26th in yards. They're 32nd in points. So far this season last year at this time, of course, they were second in points. They were third in terms of longest drives the national football league without to, uh, this offense is a shell of itself. Everything is on the table says Mike McDaniel, but right now, as much as I, I've been a Mike McDaniel fan, big fan of his offense. He's got to figure this out, man. Well, you know, I, I think no matter how good the scheme is, if you don't have guys capable of making the blocks or a decision maker, a quarterback of running it, it doesn't matter. You know, and, um, you know, I, I think right now you're, you're looking at a, and an appreciation for Tua, and it's just one of the sad things of his career, um, you know, that he can't stay healthy, but ultimately the dolphins are serving their penance for not obeying the sports injury. God's, you know, and that might have been the biggest disobeying that we've seen since the Mavs trade at all that for porzingis. You would think a team in last year, you know, thankfully to it was healthy for the majority of not all of the season, but they should have prioritized backup quarterback, maybe more so than any team in the NFL. When you look at the injury history, the two has had even dating back to college and they did not do that. And that is something that they're living with now in a terrible, terrible way. They bring in Tyler Huntley. He didn't do well. Skyler Thompson. I mean, I don't know how you can go, go into a season thinking. Skyler Thompson is a backup quarterback for us that can win us a game. They can't. So I mean, Mike McDaniel, I think the frustration that I've read about dolphin fans is he doesn't really change anything with his play calling and the way the offense runs when Tua is out. They have a good running. It's all he knows. Yeah. But you've got a good running scheme, right? No, that's what you're saying. You're right. Like H and still there. Yeah. I get where he most shirts been out. Jeff Wilson got her pregame warmups, but they drafted Jalen Wright, who's very capable. Run the football more and you haven't really seen any type of tweaks. I mean, I think what makes most of the coaches and sets apart, the good ones from the great ones is when you're injured, how are you able to problem solve? I think you, I think you hit the nail on the head. The problem is the quarterback. Yeah. They didn't date, you know, they thought that they, and sometimes coaches just believed that they can, you know, hey, we could take this guy will be just fine. Skyler Thompson can't play. Tyler Huntley can't play, you know, you look at your situations and when you have a quarterback that has fragile health like to a, that that would have been the first damn thing I would have done. Like how do I go get a quarterback that can play in my system and then can, you know, we could maybe win games with, they can't win games with any of these guys. Tim Boyle, throw him in there too. All three of their quarterbacks, they can't win games with. So I, I, you know, you're, you're right, Dawson, you kind of get what you deserve. You know, if you, you go in, it's like, what did Jerry and Jerry told us at the senior bowl? Hey, got to stop the run and got to run the ball better. They haven't done either one. Yeah. He'd your words, but I kind of get your point. Well, Chuck, I mean, he's a, he's a young guy, it's got a lot of credit for the scheme that he runs. And with a quality quarterback or somebody competent, he can do wonders, but it's a far cry from like where art broils would be, like, oh, my quarterbacks down, I'm going to install a running offense this week. You know, I think there's probably a lot for Mike to learn here. Yeah. I mean, it was impressive watching what Green Bay did for two weeks, like they had a quarterback, they didn't believe it in terms of Malik Willis ability to really run the offense. But what they do, they played to his strengths and they found a way to get two wins. Well, that's Cowboys did done it with a super rush with Cooper. Right. They did. And like the Cowboys had a defense that was playing at an extremely high level. Miami does not have that. So yeah, stand, but yeah, I mean, they have not been competitive for the last three games and they've got to figure something out there because, I mean, to a, I don't know, like what, what does the future? I know he wants to come back and play week eight, but I think that's a big question mark moving forward there. We're back now. So this is something they're probably going to be dealing with now on the other side, Titans get a win. But Brian Callahan saying Will Levis who didn't play well, then gets hurt is still going to be their quarterback one. I mean, they're committed to Will Levis, but this is going to be with Brian Callahan and the Titans. They get their first win of the season. Mason Rudolph didn't exactly look great. He goes nine of 17 for 85 yards and his Titans debut, but that's kind of a mess with their quarterback situation in Tennessee. What's not a mess is what the lions are doing. Hello, Molly. That's what contention looks like. Wow. I mean, both those offenses were humming Seattle and Detroit. I mean, you had Gino who was spinning it. They were running the football really well there in Seattle, but Jared Goff was perfect. Most attempts in an NFL game without an incompletion 18 for 18 was Jared Goff last night as he makes NFL history, two touchdowns also received a touchdown. Believe it or not though, he did not get the game ball. What the hell happened here, man Campbell? Well, well, I just gave the game ball to somebody else. So I feel awful right now. Yeah, no, I, well, I knew he played a heck of a game. I did not realize he was perfect. I did not know he was literally 18 for 18. I mean, that, but, but I knew he played really well. You could feel it and man, I mean, he was, he was brilliant. Yeah, there was a, there, you know, and this game should have been closer. The penalty with like five, nine minutes to go on Charbonneau, the Seahawks are driving. They got a fourth and third converted and an inconsequential flag forces them to punt at midfield instead of having like a first down on the 30. And that was where it really got locked in for the Lions, just a really unfortunate, and they, you know, Detroit goes down and scores a touchdown right there to make it like a 15 point game or whatever it was 42, 27, I think at that point. Yeah. You know, it was hot after that. Yeah. I mean, you know what's good too. Yeah. Yeah. I would not be in a hurry to replace him. In fact, and, and this is one that maybe I'm going to regret it. I'm not going to end up having to do a bet payoff. It's, it's weird. She got giants long week. They get the mini by Seattle's going to have a short week, but I'm locking in my survivor pick this week. Seattle at home against the giants. Just betting against the giants every week now, aren't you going to do that? I'm going to, I'm going to lean against the giants here, but Seattle looked pretty good. I was impressed. I think they can run the football really, really well, even if for some reason, a genome is not playing right now. The big news we've got today with Devonta Adams, the report is coming out of Vegas and some of their beat reporters that a league source with knowledge of the situation confirmed that the Raiders are growing open to the idea of trading Devonta Adams, the club has begun reaching out to teams to kind of gauge interest on the veteran wide receiver. So Antonio Pierce was caught liking a, don't be surprised if Devonta Adams has already played his last snap with the Raiders. According to Michael Fabiano, who was illustrated, like Bob, like coach, like by Antonio Pierce, the head coach. So Devonta Adams has a weekly visit on Tuesdays with K Adams on her up and Adam show and K asked Devonta, did coach Pierce reach out to you? Have you guys talked at all since then? They haven't, I haven't heard from him. I've been, I've been talked to him. So I've been, yeah, I don't know, I don't really know exactly what that was about. Obviously I got, you know, social media as a beast. So there's a lot of people out there that saw it and, you know, wonder what's going on and people reaching out and, yeah, I haven't, I haven't spoke to him. I'm surprised by that. I would think, Keith, I would, that's, okay, well, I would think, I mean, you work together every day. So if that, I would say, oh, shoot, I accidentally hit that, I unliked it. Now it's this huge story, is that just kind of like what the dynamic is? That's not something that you, you, you want to hear from him? Honestly, it's hard to comment on and I'm sure you would imagine as such, but it's, it's one of situations where I just keep my head down and keep doing my thing and, you know, let the, let the ships fall where they may, is as it pertains to that, but I haven't, yeah, there's been no communication with anybody from the tapes since, since that became a thing. The Raiders fans that like their guy Pierce are saying, you know, Adam's has been a drama queen. He's tough to have in your locker room. You know, and if that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised, you know, if a head coach in a moment of frustration, you know, maybe venting a little bit, hit the like button and intentionally on something thinking, you know, no one's going to really going to track this thing down, but they will, you know, and it's, it's crazy. I think, you know, if you have a, a bad team though and your best player isn't happy there, it's a no brainer to move on from this situation. If you're the Raiders GM right now, you're trying to keep this story as quiet as possible so you can recoup as much value as you can possibly from Adams. You don't want this to look like a fire sale. But your head coach, did you really know favors? No. Do you think he runs his own account? Yeah. Do you? Yeah. Okay. He's throwing it out there. I do wonder like how many players coaches run your own. There's no advantage to what he just did. No. There's none. And you've only created more problems. And I wonder if somebody in the social department with the Raiders is getting their ass ripped right now about it, you know, like why, you know, and if he would come out and say somebody would ask him, like, did you like that? And I guarantee you, somebody's going to get thrown under the bus or he's not, or he's going to know comment this thing. So he, I mean, they should have, to your point, they should have said, oh, he doesn't run his own account. Yeah. You know, it's all promotional. But and I would imagine from this point forward, if I'm Antonio Pierce, I don't want to run my own account. I'm like, I'm done with social media, dude, that's a, that's a mess. Yeah, that's a, I'm interested to see where the Monte Adams ends up moving. I know, you know, inevitably you're going to have cowboy fans that wonder I've already been tagged and asked like, Hey, what do you think about the Monte Adams? If there's a splash move the Cowboys like to make it's going trading for receivers. We've seen that several times. Devante Adams is way too expensive and at 31 years old, I don't think that that's that there's no, there's not enough upside in there, not enough reality in there now. And I don't think you'd fix the Cowboys offense. You just be super covered. I don't either. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, would you trust them right now to even use a player of that caliber correctly? I don't know. I don't think they're using Brandon cooks correctly right now. I hope the Brandon cooks continues to improve as the season goes on. We don't have any official news yet of an ACL tear when it comes to Rishi rice. He is going to require more tests to wait for the swelling to go down. Yeah, which, I mean, I remember that happened with Michael Gallup, but it took Gallup, I think like a month or two after the injury before even had surgery. So they're still uncertain over the extent of the injury, but certainly that's a team. I know that's in trainers, though, though, they, they, they, they isolate that joint and then move the shin around they can tell they know within like a minute as soon as the trainer dude gets out there, the MRI is just going to tell you how bad it is. Yeah. But the swelling would be a problem too, when they want to do surgery. Yeah. Yeah. That's a problem. So they don't know for sure, like what, what exactly is the diagnosis, but I would say the safe assumption is he's done for the season, so we'll have to see what the chiefs end up doing. Now has son retic still out there, he's still holding out. He's losing a bunch of money with the New York Jets because he doesn't want to play for them. He did see Ian Rappaport say, and his son, retic had come out and was like, I'd like to just go back to the Eagles at this point. I don't want to be here. Trade me back. They can't trade him back. Can't do it. Parenafell rules. It's not possible teams can't trade a player, then reacquired him via trade until two years a lap. So Reddit cannot go back to filthy on a deal. So if a son retic wants to move, it won't be going back to the Eagles. However, I will say you're on year three now since the Cowboys traded, Maric Cooper to Cleveland. I don't think that happens either. I think there's bad blood there, but you technically would be allowed to get around that rule if you want to do acquire a Maric Cooper back from the Cleveland Browns. We can't do it within the same calendar year, right? Two years. Two years. Two years. That's what Ian Rappaport said. Did you guys see Chase Brown running back of the Bengals walking off the field and you had a Carolina fan dumping a drink on him as he is heading into the locker room. Now, I mean, I guess that there's already been a president said that this is okay because you've got the owner of the Panthers. He'll go drink on fans all the time. So you can't really blame the fans there for thinking like, Oh, this is cool. Chase Brown said I was walking in, felt the liquid or whatever that was. And then when I saw the video back, I'm like, damn, that really happens. The NFL is looking into this incident. Maybe if they find out who the fan is, that fan ends up getting banned. But you're not welcome around here. We just don't need to be doing that stuff. I mean, the fights that are going down at these stadiums, it's insane. Every week we're seeing them. And now we're getting how hard it is to find the fan at Carolina. He might be the only dude throwing a beer on somebody. Yeah. You have very, very cheap tickets. They do there in Carolina. And then finally here in the film news of the day, that ex-jags employee who wasn't in prison for stealing $22 million from the team is now suing FanDuel for $250 million. I don't know what the hell is going on and he thinks he's going to win this, but he's suing for 10 times the amount. And it's Amit Patel is his name. He stole from the jags over the course of four years before his scheme blew up in his face. And now he's in jail and suing back. He's suing back. He's in jail. He's in the half years in prison after he pled guilty to that over some of the things out. Jags sued him for the, like the law library. So now he's putting his own $250 million in character assassination. Yeah. Well, the lawsuit claims that he was intentionally targeted and preyed upon why they've dangled millions and millions of dollars and put me in charge of it, knowing my greed. This was not my fault. Okay. I was a VIP host. All right. And I was allowed to do these things. No, you weren't. And you're going to spend it. I was a VIP host. That was a lot. What he says. He went bezel. He's an influencer. Yeah. You know, like how not to do it. I was allowed. I, I, but bizarre. I was just dipping into the petty cash. Come on. Shoot me. We're suing everybody. What's amazing is that like he got away with this for four years. Yeah. Like somebody, like the controller, the team, nobody even noticed we're missing $22 million. Yeah. That's, that's what's wild. That is man. There's trouble going down there. Yeah. All right. Have fun these today. Thank you. We'll chuck. We got a C note. Dalvin cook update. Plus we're going to talk stars with you here. Stars as the hockey season is right around the corner and we're back with that here in the G bag nation. Yeah, buddy. Welcome back. It's time for the C note. Cowboys news of the evening. This segment of the G bag nation brought she by the Frankles life is unpredictable accidents happen. Donate today. Cars for kids.org, man. You got brought us his crusties corner coming up here in about 15, 20 minutes and you'll, you'll be wise to tune in. If you're a football fan, the former Cowboys Scott NFL executive will stand and deliver once again. Okay. We do have a Dalvin cook update. He said he's fresh, fresh and remaining patient says it's part of a situation to men right now. But for me, it's about getting better and getting ready. And I know we're going to be in a situation where we're playing some meaningful games. I know how this league works. It's a long season. Just be ready. Of course, he's talking about injuries and that's a reality. You know, I don't think he's rooting for injuries. He's rooting for wins and everybody to be happy and healthy, but he knows the opportunity might just present itself. I mean, the average running back can only play 13, 14 games a year because they are inevitable. But I don't know about his confidence in meaningful games, you know, he says we're going to be playing in something. I hope so. You know, I think the Steelers game is mandatory because lions, Niners after that going to be tough sled. So we'll keep our fingers crossed for that, Dalvin, that by the time he does make his cowboy debut, these games are meaningful. I was listening to Mickey earlier, Mickey Spagnola, Dallas Cowboys.com. He was on with the KMC masterpiece and, you know, he was making some good points here. It makes sense to not use up Dalvin Cook's elevations. When you do move on, he said it would likely include releasing another one of those running backs, you know, so when you make this move, it's, you know, it's, it's likely a goodbye to somebody. I don't think they want to say goodbye to either of those three gentlemen right now. So it definitely makes sense that you would wait for an injury where you could IR the dude and it's just cleaner and nicer. Sure. But he also pointed out that teams have been adding running backs like the Chiefs needed one. They get cream hunt, you know, that's telling, you know, and there's the film of what happened not only last year with the Jets, but also the Ravens where they used him for one playoff game. He got three yards in an attempt. He didn't play the next game, Dalvin Cook didn't. So, you know, I, I think what the Cowboys are doing here is looking at this and saying Dalvin Cook's not going to make our running game any better. We have to disrupt things in order to put him in here that we don't want to do. And there's tremendous amount of benefit in just being patient and waiting for the situation to resolve itself. Cook said the guys that have been here, they haven't even been getting the reps and touches they deserve. We just got to get him into a rhythm as a team and as an offense and get some more reps, more plays out there. So he's doing the right thing being a pro, saying the right thing in public, even though he's probably anxious to get a shot. Yeah, I think deep down inside, he's probably wondering what the hell he's doing there. You know, if, you know, he's, you can talk about the guys not getting shots and stuff like that or opportunities, but you know, he's probably thinking, well, if I could get any shot that I could prove to them that I need to be on the 53, me personally, I just, you've got, you've got, I'm not asking you to get rid of Vaughn or Dattle, you know, or a Hunter lip gear, you know, those guys, Ezekiel, it can't help you. You played 10 snaps against the Giants. I can't help you. Yeah. You know, I mean, to me, to me, I would rather, I would rather see what I had in Dalvin Cook. You know, maybe it is for, maybe it is for, you know, if he, if he shows up like he didn't, when the Ravens in that game, you know, and he didn't get many opportunities and the Jets were awful. But if, if that's the guy, then you move on, that's what player personnel is. It's evaluation. You have a guy there. If nothing's wrong, I mean, I'm hearing he's healthy and ready to go. I'm not hearing like, oh, he doesn't know the plays and this, that Jimmy would churn it. He got a, you got to, you got to look at opportunities here that maybe that, okay, we'll see. You know, give him, give him a chance and if, and if it doesn't work, there's no harm to that. You move on. Yeah. You know, who's the guy you feel like you can move on from? Zeke. Zeke. Yeah. Yeah. So nobody's going to, nobody's going to, you know, but the thing about it is that, you know, there's like this, Zeke is, we all know this. He's just, he's likeable. He's everybody there loves him. He, he, you know, he did some great things for this team and they feel loyal to that more than doing whatever it takes to win and make the roster better. And that's what this organization is about telling themselves on a com, comforting lies, you know, like, oh no, our running game isn't bad. We just haven't had the chance to do it because we haven't played from a head BS. You had the chance against Cleveland and you didn't run it because you knew running it would get you two yards and an, an a punt in about a minute and a half. So you're like, let's throw it more. Like I like what the 972 here, he says, here's, here's my take guys with all these injuries. This is Dax time to prove why he is the highest paid quarterback. That's your best chance throwing a lot on early downs. Even when you run and it's blocked up well, well, that's what they did the last four minutes of the Giants game. Yeah. And it worked well. They had a lot of success. They got it to second in three or four and then they ran ahead of the chance. They were just trying to, they, they wasn't run, run past. It was pass, you know, make it manageable, get six, seven yards and then run the ball the next play. It was the opposite of what you had been doing, which was now we need Dax to bail us out on third and long. Right. Yeah. I'm going to, I'm going to hope that they're going to lead with the pass here on the early downs and continue to have as much success as they had against the Giants. Although, you know, not, not, not many teams are going to cooperate like the Giants will. We go to the morning news, one area of focus for each returning Dallas stars player this season. The season will begin nine days from today. It's awesome. Look at that. October 10th. Hadn't lost a preseason game yet. Have we? I don't think so. No, they're undefeated. They're five enough. Yeah. Yeah. Logan stank Oven's been crushing it. Yeah. And this is awesome. You know, because I, you know, I just feel like the stars are, are totally capable of getting this thing done. Obviously you got to get some breaks and stay healthy and all that. Maybe make a trade deadline acquisition. We got a Jamie Ben. What's the big question around him trying to trade Jamie Ben? No, I think he's a free agent after this year. It's probably his last chance. Yeah. I just think you're just going to a story is what you're doing. Yeah. I mean, it's not like you were trying to, you, to my trades, I mean, Leah, for the morning news here, the stars writer, she can't say that last name either. I avoided. I think it's Greek. It's a makka papalas. Yeah. I think so. As the masa papalas. Acapalas. Okay. So my bad, Leah, a hook or tomorrow, it's a beautiful last name. Okay. And I'm very uncultured, especially when it comes to great names. Yes. But Jamie Ben, last chance here. We got to get it done. Hopefully he can, you know, stay young, be the team leader, be the team tough guy, everything, you know, about him. Did Donoff health is key for him, suffered one of the longest term injuries the stars had all season lower body fracture, kept out of line up for nine weeks, maintained as half point per game average from the year before improved to be an important depth piece. The Donoffs played for Dibor on three different teams and the stars head coach trust him and will count on him for forward depth as long as he is healthy. You love that to Donoff. Well, Chuck, I know you've been losing him was tough. I mean, he's a, he's a two-way player. That did a lot of some physicality, but his goal scoring, I think, was missed at times last year. You, you look at this roster and we talk about these guys. It's just so impressive. The kind of roster that gyms put together. Matt Deschain, they're looking for a year to jump recent history of players making noticeable jumps in their second years with the squad, Pavelski, Marchment, Wyatt Johnston, just a few to see noticeable improvements in their second season. Press at first year scored 25 goals. 40 assists for Duchain isn't much room for improvement, but with his same line mates, he should be set for further success. That was a big time pickup last year. He was awesome. Thomas Harley, prioritizing defense, the offense ability as a defenseman has never been called into question, but he was kept in the AHL for an extra year to develop his defense. That area of his game took significant steps forward last season, but as he is expected to be paired with Iliya this year, it could be easy for Harley to stray from those goals. The stars will need him to equally prioritize offense and defense this year and continue to produce now with a four million bucks to his name. That's been the big issue, you know, is you want to play an aggressive style, but how do you balance that with not getting so opened up in transition? The counter-attack goals were brutal, especially in the postseason. And the turnovers at times, I'm a big, Thomas Harley fan. I think he is one of their better up and coming young players, but he's got to figure out one. He needs to be more physical in the postseason. I think that's a huge thing for this entire team. Did they get more physical? I think that cost them at times against a lot of teams. They were never going to be a team that went into a series and led to it in terms of hits. And to me, Thomas Harley is the guy that needs to take a step in that direction, too. Yeah. It's a big body. I wonder about that in today's game, like how important is physicality? It's important in the postseason. Still is. Well, the one thing that Dallas was actually really, really good at last year, I mean, among other things, I mean, it was a heck for run. They killed penalties and they were good on penalties when they got the man advantage. And so now you've kind of moved on from some players there. And I think that's what's, you know, when used to, Radik Foxa was one of those guys that when they were on, when they were on the kill, he was, well, they were really good at winning phase loss. And they traded him away. I mean, so they've got, they've got some guys that that's the question. Can they continue to kill and can they be productive win because they put a lot of teams in bad spots when they, when they got onto the power play. It's really what flipped the series against Edmonton that they were great in terms of penalty kill. And as soon as the Oilers figure that out, then they were, yeah, then they were junk eight one seven or requesting Leah on the, on the show so we can know how her name is supposed to be set. That would be cool. I think that's fair on it eight one seven Zeke's a gosh darn legend around here and y'all drug them through the mud like he's a jag. I did the same to Whitten play like a jag right now. It's really dragging the front office through the mud. You know, the, the players are collateral damage, but Miro's next up here on the list. Playing on his dominant side, the left handed defense, we were going to get this name played on the right side for most of his career. And while he's still been elite in doing so, Hayskin and may get the chance to show what he can do on his dominant side through camp. He's been paired alongside Matt Dumba and excelled in preseason games. Hayskin in scheme could reach new heights as a result. That's exciting. Leah, a semicopolis, semicopolis, according to the hockey. Thank you. Mr. spittle. Thank you. I mean, Leah, Mr. Popper. Georgia. Yes. Popper. No dapples. There you go. Yes. On, on that was Webster. Right. Yeah. A little baklava. Yeah. What a show. Man, but spittle runs one of the best stars podcast out there. Yes. So you should check it out. Group A hints taking scoring to a new level. Wyatt Josten producing as a known star. It's incredible. I mean, sure. Rangers and Mavs have really done a nice job with their roster, but you look at the blend of young players, prime players and veterans on this team. Lindell, leadership, Lundfest, consistency, Marchment, drawing, rather than committing penalties. Yeah. Robertson. You're looking for a quick start. Tyler Sagan. Health. Stank. Oven. Reliable goal scoring. Sam Steele. Elite penalty killing. Jake Ottinger. Resiliency. Okay. You can read the rest of Leah's great work here in the morning news. She posted it this morning and salute to her for the for the content. Okay. We're coming back. G back nation with Crusty's Corner brought you by Reliant. Brian, where you taking us? Yeah. I'll fill you in on the player that they just signed. And then I also got some really good questions for my guys that they'll answer. We'll do that next. Yes, sir. Thank you, Lucius. Coming up at four o'clock, we have some Cowboys Twitter, Tom Tweets going viral about America's team and funny audio of them trying to answer questions. Okay. It's time now for Crusty's Corner brought you by Reliant air conditioning, gimmick-free AC repair and replacement. Here he is, the King himself, Brian. Thank you very much, General. Appreciate that. Lucius, is that the killers? Yeah. Right, right, right. Lucius does stuff like that. I love this song. Mr. Brideside. I love that. Okay. I love that. That's fine. Got it. I was I was thinking about they had a tour. The killers were in they were having to be in London. It was during the World Cup, or the the the it was not to work up the euros. Okay. And when England was playing and they didn't go on stage until they were they were waiting till the match was over. Well, yeah, they were on stage and then they were showing it like the actual like the penalty kicks and then England won and then they went into Mr. Brideside is what they did like the balloons and all that stuff like that. So you think how many people you think do you think real quick? You think that athletes want to be performers more or performers want to be athletes more? I think performers would want to be athletes more. I think NBA people definitely want to be performers. They want to be hard to so bad. They love rappers. Yeah. How many try to have their own rap. Yeah. Yeah. All of them. Dave Lillard. Yeah. Because I always wonder because you do you see you see kind of athletes get starstruck with with performers and then the performers are like super like star struck of the athletes. Yeah. And he's always wondered. Post Malone is probably like man, it'd be pretty dope to play for the Cowboys. I thought that was hilarious. He kept calling Christie scales ma'am. That was great. He was supposed to. He was he was like Southern hospitality. That's for Grand Prairie. Yeah. She was like yeah. He had his boots on his blue jeans. And he was going on and on and yes ma'am. Yes ma'am. Yeah. Yeah. At least two yes ma'am's per answer. Yeah. I thought that was so cool. I really did. Like you know, his dad worked with a club and stuff like that. So he probably knew damn good will who Christie scales was. Yeah. I think if you were like an average successful musician, right, then you would rather be the athlete because you're going to make a lot of money as an athlete. As a successful musician, you might be touring and like trying to make your six figures a year and you know, keep things going. But if you could be like post Malone height, you know, where you've just printed money, then you're going to be able to make millions and millions of dollars every year for the rest of your life. That might be the ideal choice there. Do you think Drake would give it all up to be on the Lakers? Yeah. Yeah. Right now. It's a good timing for it. Well, I'm just saying as a guy who's out there as always being in the middle of. Yeah. Yeah. He wants to be a Hooper. He has those Hooper tournaments at his house where they play like they have like real trophies and rings. Yeah. And now everything. Yeah. Well, you know, it's his own room. I don't know. I don't know. They play it. I don't know. He's got everything going on. It's like a real NBA game. It's up inside his house. They have like a horn. Like that. Everything. It's like waiting at the score. Stay able to get in. Yeah. They have everything, bro. All right. And another thing to go ahead. Guitar guys. Yeah. If you're up there playing a guitar on stage, yeah, he's just like baseball players. Okay. Who didn't blowfish? Those guys are always at baseball games. Well, like Darius Rucker, right? Yeah. Darius Rucker, who didn't blowfish. Huge Miami Dolphins fan. Like he is a. There is. He loves the Miami Dolphins. Matter of fact, one of his songs, he sings the Dolphins Make Him Cry. This one of his songs. Yeah. Yeah. Then Dolphins Cry. No. Cry. Wagon wheeled. Dolphins Cry. No. No. I'm just combining two songs. No. I do think there's a lot of musicians though that maybe aren't sports people, you know. They're RC types. Yeah. I just always wondered if the athlete wanted to be the performer more than the performer wanted to be the athlete. The other thing with a performer though is you're like small, you know, like you could be six, five, two, twenty, you know, as an athlete. Got it. Physically tiny. Physically? Yeah. Yeah. You're not, you're typically not big, you know, you can't kick any ass, you know, chicks only like you because of your musical talent, you know what I'm saying? So I'd rather have the physicality on top of that and the money myself. All right. You know. Appreciate you up on that. All right. KJ Henry. KJ Henry. Facts. Facts. Facts. Put it up. Facts. KJ Henry, if you missed it earlier, wherever you've been, KJ Henry, the Cowboys. We talked about this guy yesterday. We did. And this is zone. I want to thank, I want to thank the gang of seven for giving me some names. You know, I said, Hey, I, you know, I go at guys and need some edges. Need to look at some edges, give me some practice squads and thinking about trying to take a guy off of practice squad. And so, you know, they gave me these names and KJ Henry from the Cincinnati Bengals was one of these guys. Now Henry was drafted by the commanders. So Jeff Seguina, the coach, the Cowboys defensive line coach has a history this guy from last year. I feel like the Cowboys do that a lot. Yeah. Maybe. So it's one of these. Well, who should we go get? You know, you get a name as you guys. I know this guy. He's in the department. Yeah. No, which one of you guys had an end that might be available right now? He texted you for an opportunity. I shouldn't even have brought that up. I know your friends. I knew Dawson was good. Dawson saw the opening. He looked like he looked like, yeah, he looked like Henry running the ball like he saw the opening and it's like, I'm going to go 87 yards here. Nobody's going to stop me. Yeah. Nobody's going to stop me. But he was a fifth round pick by the commanders. Do you have any friends that could use millions of dollars? Because seriously, we have a roster spot here on a clown show. I'm sorry. Don't do that. Too much. Bassick. Yeah. That was too much. The right amount of basic. Yeah. He was on the bingles practice squad. That's where they got him. This guy has length as a player as an edge. I watch this guy through all the preseason. I like the way this guy does play off these blocks because of the link that he has so he can place him as he's really pretty decent as a run defender. But he also plays as a stand up guy at times. So you could probably play him a little bit on the outside as a line back you want, but he plays hand down, stand up both, but he's a long guy, a rangey guy. He does a good job of playing the read option too. There were a couple of times where sometimes you get influenced by the quarterback. You get influenced by the ball. There was sometimes in the summer where he was able to kind of show balance, maintain discipline and then attack the quarterback two different times where I was like, okay, this guy's not going to get fooled playing that way. He's like, he's played this before, but he's good with the inside moves on the pass rush. He can close down from the back side. I like the way he squeezed the hole, like taking the blocker down inside and then trying to kind of compress that hole. So the ball would spill to the outside. He's got the good movement from the back side. He can gain some ground with this first step. You see him get up the field. He can find his way to the corner, but to capture that corner is a little bit of a problem for him. To just get around that corner is a little bit of an issue for him. He's just, he can get there, but he just doesn't have that burst or able to lower that shoulder to get around the corner. I thought he needed to be a little bit more consistent of trying to do that. If you want to, if you want to look at something that he might need some work on, I was impressed with the way he controlled blockers and the way he was able to extend on him. And I think he's a guy that can provide some depth. I was just thinking of guys that when you start to look at, okay, do you have to play with wheat and maybe, you know, with Golds, I know Golds is going to be a starter now. This guy, he kind of fits into that mode right now. So if you were thinking about maybe they were going to go get Muhammad, we talked about that yesterday, going out and getting a guy off a practice squad that's ready. He's been practicing, he has experience and they have some familiarity with him. That's why they did what they did. So KJ Henry, you're a new edge for the Dallas Cowboys. Go Hank. Go Hank. Hey, Hank. All right. I got some questions for my boys here. Well, let's do it. And I've got a few minutes. So I'll try and get these questions. We'll be boy. I'll start with you. Okay. If you could ask Jerry Jones or Mike McCarthy, one question and get an in depth honest answer. What would that question be? I would ask Jerry why he absolutely refuses to acknowledge that his hand is general manager of the football team has resulted in three decades of a lack of a championship. So your question would be, why do you continue on as the general manager? Would you ever fire yourself and if so, why not? So you're going to get an honest answer. Yeah. I'd love to hear honestly. Why? What's going on here? Other than I'm the owner. I don't want to work for anybody else. This is my football team. It's like, okay, that's cool. But you can still be the owner and just acknowledge I can have somebody else be the GM. You can still be the final say guy if you want to. Yeah. So you would ask him why or why are you still the general? Is it really just stubbornness, I mean, is some of the stuff that we hear from the outside? Like what's the truth here? I'd love to just get a real and also. No, that's what I'm saying. You're going to get a real honest answer. And that's the question. And that's the question. To me, the crux of all of this, like there's one person that still standing in 28, 29, 30 years of futility and it's that and that he likes to say publicly that it's an advantage because you don't have to have two people. There's not a GM and an owner to sell. It's much more streamlined like this. But I think the real answer, you know, you can ask McCarthy or Jerry a question. McCarthy or Jerry, either one here. Yeah. Yeah. I think the real answer to that question would be just people, they crave a feeling of importance and whether they can enunciate that or not or are aware of that or not. That's why Jerry does what he does. He likes the celebrity and the feeling that it gives him of being the man. For my question, it would be like, why won't you acknowledge that the salary cap strategy has shifted so massively? And you guys are 15 years behind in how to build, you know, a Super Bowl champion because I actually think you could leave him in charge. The personnel is flowing. If you just changed them with their salary cap approach, I absolutely think they could win a Super Bowl with deck. So the question you would ask him is why do you continue this salary cap approach? Yeah. Okay. And you get an honest answer. Okay. That's good. If I like that. Right. Dawson. Yes, sir. Other than Prescott, you need this offensive player to be huge the next two weeks. Other than Prescott, you need this offensive player to be huge the next two weeks. That's Pittsburgh and Detroit. Let me go with your guy, Hunter Lipke. Okay. Give me some chunk plays and be a good and running game. Maybe Dattle or Lipke. I mean, I think CD lamb goes without saying, so I'm going to go with Tyler Gaiden. Yeah. I think Tyler Gaiden's going to have a couple of tough matchups here if they want to move TJ water around in the next week with Aidan Hutchinson for the for the lions. I mean, those are those are players that certainly can exploit you. So I think, you know, Tyler Gaiden, we saw at times the offense got bogged down because he was getting beat. You need that left tackle to stand up for you. Yeah. I kind of feel like to me that I'm looking at both offensive tackles right now because of what the deal, what you're going to do with with Pittsburgh and what you're going to deal with with Detroit. I just think those are going to be probably two spots. How much help can you really give Gaiden? They didn't give him any help really at all. He had 90% one on one block and I think they're going to have to help him in this football game. But at what cost, you know, is it going to cost you a hundred lip gear or somebody off the edge? Yeah. Exactly. So, all right. That's it for my time. Thank you, sir. Woolchuk's top 10 at 420 is coming up. We got Cowboys Twitter right here, top tweets going viral about America's team. Flagtober will roll on Friday at Southern Leisure, spas and patio, get your iced tea in your rocking chair and join us at the Flower Mound location. It is going to be a triple bet payoff Friday. I believe Chia follows jumping in a cold tub for a segment. Yeah. Might cause hypothermia. Well, he's going as he's doing the, uh, the Harbaugh, Jim Harbaugh. That's right. He's worried of khakis with the shirt tucked in and the belt and all that stuff. He's doing that this Friday. This Friday. And he's got like a fever today. Pretty much. I don't put that boy out the game. Yeah. Catch them on you. That's right. People are asking me about that. I have to show them that and they live a lot of the way people are asking about your eyebrows. Yeah. Rude. They are their guy. Where are your eyebrows? And I lost a bet payoff. The guy says you need to pick games better then. And I'm like, I agree. Yeah. Derek Eagleton on the break this morning, I told him about the Mrs. Doubtfire that I didn't want to embarrass. Yeah. The Cowboys dressed up. He goes, bring it. He demanded it. Bring it. Everyone would love this. Oh, no. Don't tell me that. We pick games every Friday at 2.20 if we're wrong. We owe the show and the community a bet payoff and we got three of them coming. We're setting records here one month into the season. Can't pick a game to save our lives. We'll check. It's getting really bad. So I'm hoping that this week I can keep the streak to two. You know, I don't think anybody's had it's been one and done. It's been a tough year for me especially. Yeah. You are winless on the season. I am. So hopefully Friday you can change that. And you're going to run that option. You'll swear it here. So come by for bet payoffs. Come by for the the G back nation what a burger flag. It's iconic flag. It is. It's so it's it's so different and unique from all the other flags and I'll tell you one big difference is the folks are coming out from from the G back nation. But also it was so hot with what a burger employees. Yes. They're they needed one. They're nice folk too. So this is like one of the the most desired and coveted flags in and flagged over history. Okay. Let's get going here with some Cowboys Twitter and listen to this BS is Clarence Hill asking Mike McCarthy at the presser about motion. They are 30th in the NFL when it comes to it. Here's Jill with Mike. Pre-snap motion and where you guys ranking that can you talk about why you're low in that category. That's important part of your. Yeah. I see senior reports. You know, we got a great analytics apartment. You know, I think I've probably seen all the ones you saw and didn't throw out the ones that are good. That's part of the equation too. But no, I think we're is really kind of part of what I was talking about earlier. You know, you got to look at the situation as, you know, particularly on offense, you know, some because some of our formation, you know, I was talking to John Park about this yesterday. You know, some of our formation tendencies, you know, you got to factor in, I think we've been almost three quarters or two minutes. So that, you know, those are screwed a little bit, but yes, you know, as far as the motions, how much motion we want to do, you know, CD utilization and motion. You also, I don't know, you know, one of the things the analytics also shows us is just the, you know, the artage that our receivers cover, you know, our, our, you can cut it right there because that's like the fourth ridiculous tangent off of this is he standing up there sucking on his teeth, talking about situational and formation tendencies and as far as motion. You're like, okay, he's finally going to get into the answer here. 30 seconds in. Yes. As far as the motion, Mike, what would you like to say about that? Well, I'll tell you, one of the other thing is that metrics measures is how much our receivers are running. They're right. They're out there running lots around it. Yeah. You got to be kidding me. You know, with this. So he's worried about wear and tear. Tonight's four. And then as we start putting that plan together tomorrow, so those things evolve. So he's worried about wear and tear on it. That's why he's not running in motion at the, at the line of scrimmage where the way he's describing it sounds like he's worried about wearing tear. Okay. I'm glad you could explain. He's still describing it, by the way, what Mike would come and say for your defense or is that what you have to do? No, I think it's, you know, I think it's who you want to be, you know, and right now. So that would be the way he's the waist. If he's talking about how much it routes and stuff that his receivers run, he might be worried about wearing tear on his guys during a game. So the top offenses in the NFL that are running this for 17 weeks and that match. I love it. I love it. I love that you provide an explanation there because it makes Mike McCarthy look like an even bigger dumbass. Brian, you're, you're watching the all 22 after every game. You're worried about wearing terror, watching those receivers out there. Oh, he talks about GPS numbers all the time with his guys. Six plays. He does. Is he still going? He's still going. I'm sorry, maybe you're, you know, if you're playing six plays less a game, I just have to explain it. It's like a new number pops up on my phone and my girl sings it. What is this new contact, you know, you talk about, you know, third down, it's, it's always a two way street. So we're, we're evaluating things based on usage instead of the per play efficiency boost that you get it. I'm throwing it out there as a possibility. I like it. You know, but, but I think I want to salute Clarence Hill for standing up there and asking the question again, we got this ridiculous answer. Now we can follow up on it, you know, uh, back on October 1st, Mike, you were asked about lack of motion at the snap and you referenced, uh, GPS numbers. Is that the main reason that you don't want to use more motion at the snap, which is exercise here? Right. If you don't mind your, because I know you got the next gen stats pull up, pull up the leaders, the offenses that use the most motion, man, your, it's the number one is the dolphins. You're using the most motion dolphins are using the most motion with no quarterback. So that's going to be terrible. Give me all the other teams. The dolphins were thrown at us. Hold on. I had this. I had this just a minute ago and, uh, and it went away. So let me hang. Go ahead. Talk about yourself. I forget this. I'd like to just know because usually the last three years in football, you can look there. The best offense. Here we go. Uh, dolphins, one Packers, two Falcons, three Raiders, four bucks, five San Francisco six Lions, seven Rams, eight saints, nine Tennessee, 10 was your, your top 10. It's like probably the majority of those. Hey, they're, they're, they're up there among the leaders in the NFL in terms of best offenses. Yeah. What you're seeing now, I think 14 is a lot of teams, even the bad teams that don't have the personnel. You can't just have good players and you can't just have good scheme. You actually need both of these things on your team at the same time to be good. And, uh, up to this point, it has mostly been, uh, the better teams, but now everybody is recognizing it and a lot of teams are, are trying to use it to, to boost them. But you know, I, I just think that we need to get to a point where the Cowboys give us some honest answers to this kind of stuff and the fact that they can't, you know, to me shows they're not really thinking about it and they, or they don't respect it. They don't think it's real. And if Mike can just come out there and say, we just don't believe in it, I would, you know, respect that a lot more than these weird attempts to answer questions. Last five Carolina at 28 Cleveland at 29 Dallas is 30 Jacksonville's 31 and New England's 32 and those are probably worst offenses in the NFL with some of the most disappointing teams. Now, furthermore on this, Jerry Jones was asked this morning with Sean and RJ. How do you know if your coaches are up to speed on the current trends? He'll, here's the non-answer Jerry gave to that one. Well, I think that, uh, uh, first of all, you're going to be different. You should be different. Uh, there's, uh, uh, a hundred nuances about what your team looks like out of that field. I'm talking about from the strategies or from the system of everything about it, from how you, uh, uh, take home blocks if you're in the defensive line or how you make blocks in your nap into line. And, uh, at the end of the day, you look at that all males together and how it comes together with, uh, uh, uh, uh, what you're trying to do and that's where in the games. Now, uh, as you know in the NFL, uh, we appreciate a, uh, uh, uh, success in the regular season and that'd be idiot not to, uh, uh, recognize success in the season, but, uh, you can have it there, but you also got to be building to a crescendo called getting in those playoffs and playing well in the playoff. Those, uh, don't necessarily, uh, uh, come together early in the season. One of the best teams I've seen plays is Baltimore team that we all saw yesterday and had, uh, Sunday and we played one of the best teams I'm saying, yet they don't have the best record. Okay. That's enough. That's enough from Jerry. He came for his coaching staff, first of all, by basically saying there's more than one way to skin a cat. There's all sorts of variables that you're going to have on your football team and you want to be different. So if something is working really well for other teams and you're not doing it, it's fine apparently because you want to be different. And then he said you have to look at how it all comes together, which is his way of saying, I don't really pay attention. I just wait to see what the final product is. And you know, maybe at that point he was thinking, well, in the regular season, we've had a lot of success, but then he starts talking about the playoffs, you know, and then he's like, well, wait a minute. I'm about to really step in and hear because we haven't had any playoff success. So he then circles back to, well, doesn't really matter how you're playing now because you could, you could be much better by the end of the season. Again, a total non-answer. You need somebody in the building to be tracking and making sure that your coaching staff is staying up with all the trends. But if you're more interested in a billionaire lifestyle, you are not going to have the energy to do that. And then if you want to hire coaches that have a proven track record from the past, don't be surprised if they aren't on the cutting edge of what is working in the NFL. And these trends have been developing well after Mike McCarthy, you know, got to the top of that mountain. And I, you know, it, it leaves us in a place where we are hoping that they can find the person inside their coaching staff, most likely by accident, the same way they find their quarterbacks, Wolchuck, that can spell all of this out for them. And they will have the appetite to listen, you know, you could actually have somebody in there right now who's, you know, basically yelling at a wall about what we need to be doing to bring your offensive probabilities up with the current trends. And you know, if you listen to Mike and Jerry's answer, they either think there's no need to pay attention to it or they just don't understand it. Yeah. And there's a bunch of response, like the two ones where it's like you're cherry picking on this. There was a lot of bad teams that Brian listed in the top 10, like Miami was one of the best offenses in the league last year, it would be a clear offense works, right? They don't have a quarterback to utilize it. The Cowboys do nothing is quarterback. The Titans are in the top 10. They don't have a quarterback to utilize it. The Cowboys do, right? So like those teams are in the top 10. Maybe they're not that good right now, but I guarantee you there's probably it's something that you can look at as to what is indicating there's a flaw in the success. The fact that they're using it is a good sign for them. If you could get least get in the middle of the pack, that'd be great. In the eight one seven, when did sports talk radio just become, let's tear our tear our team a new one? When the hell are y'all going to say anything positive? I'll say something positive when they don't just crap down their leg and break your damn hearts every year. Yeah. I'm sick and tired of being positive after a win against the Giants that should have been a loss if the Giants had a quarterback because their team's not that damn good. Yeah. Okay. I did it all last year. And then what happened against green Bay? You got completely crapped on. So I'm sorry if it's not going to be rainbows and sunshine all the time. This team deserves it. Yeah. They deserve it. They deserve you to be critical. Stop kissing their ass for everything they do. They haven't won anything in 30 years. It's the Dallas Cowboys. It's not the Cleveland Browns. They were once a proud franchise. They're not anymore. They deserve all the smoke. They do. And by the way, we'll finish this Cowboys Twitter. That was a great rant from Wolf Chuck. Once again, by the way, I'm this very frustrating stuff going. We just want to give our honest opinions. And I think, you know, what I would say back to that eight one seven texture is you're actually the reason that Jerry doesn't have to pay more attention because he knows he's going to get all this loyalty from you and people straining to find positivity in a train wreck. But you want to say, hey, the green Bay Packers offense actually isn't that good because their hurt or their record isn't great. Marcus Mosher posted the most big plays through week four. Guess who has the most big plays in the entire NFL? It is your green Bay Packers 38 of them things. The Niners have 34, the Ravens have 33, the Colts with 32, the Lions with 30. The Cardinals have 29 and the commanders have 28 of them. The Saints have, you know, 23. These are teams in still in the top half of the league in explosive plays. The Cowboys, the third most static team in the league, the second fewest big plays on the season with 15 of them. Cowboys Twitter, most afternoons here in the Jeep bag nation, it is time now to to move on to Wolf Chuck's top 10 at 420 buddy. What do you got for us? Well, it is national taco day. All right. So last time we did the burgers, top 10 burgers in DFW. We did pizza places we've got the top 10 taco joints in DFW. Where is your go to spot? That's next in the nation. Yeah, buddy. Welcome back. It's time for Wolf Chuck's top 10 at 420. It's brought you by the Frankles. Life is unpredictable accidents happen. If you are loved ones hurt in an accident, it's not your fault. Call the Frankles. Tigers are leading the Astros as they're trying to get a win here in game one of the wildcard series in Houston. It would be another home loss at minute made part for the strokes. Then you've got the Royals. Bobby Wicks Jr. Hollyville Heritage Zone up one nothing on the road against the Orioles. Remember the Orioles got swept last year when they finally made it back to the postseason. Higher world series champion Texas Rangers. So the Royals looking to ruin the Orioles season by maybe knocking them out in a wild card round this year, Corbin Burns, five and two thirds, three hits, three case, he's also got a walk beyond Mets Brewers coming up later, followed by Braves and Padres in the national league eight, seven, seven, eight, eight, one, one, oh five, three, it is national taco day. Where are the best tacos in DFW? Got a lot of good texts rolling on in. We did just get some NFL news. It's happening fast and furious. Just seeing Anderson saying regarding Devonta Adams, she spoke to a league source indicating an NFC team would have interest in Devonta Adams, but not currently for a second round pick. Sounds like restructuring would be needed in this particular case to will keep monitoring. I've seen the jets in the commanders as two teams that have popped up as potential options for Devonta Adams. Maybe it is the commanders as the team just seen Anderson could be referencing. Yeah, I could see that. I know the 49ers would be interested. Maybe a trade involving one of their receivers could make the Raiders happy as well. But yeah, I think a lot of teams should be motivated for a player like that. Still 31 with a lot of great football. The Astros made a pitching change. There's runners on second and third here with with one out in Houston is I think a lot of DFW is pulling for the Tigers. Absolutely. Go Tigers. Go Tigers. Go. And AJ Hinch going back to the team in which he got fired from probably rightly so. But now I'm pulling for me. He's in the Tigers jersey now. So three one. I will let you know when that one ends. Okay. A lot of good techs coming through here. I'm going to just weed through some of the hertado. I mean, you can't really be. Yeah. Let's be really at tacos. They're outstanding. Yeah. Those are absolutely. It's the only place I'll eat raw onions. Get them in there. That's true. That's true. That's how good that taco is. Would you be open to trying something that has raw onions? You take a bite. You don't like it. It's fine. But maybe there are other types of food that mask it quite like that does. As long as they're super finely cut, you know. And yes, I'm willing to get through that. It's not like mayonnaise, you know, where I'm like, no, that flavor will make me gag or mushrooms, you know, onions aren't like that horrible, that offensive. And don't worry. We are not going to say Taco Bell or Taco Casa. They are not on the list here. It's actually a very, very good list, courtesy of sounds like some of the morning news would do what go with like talk. I mean, if we want to do like fast food tacos, maybe you go ahead and pop that in there, but I want I want gas station tacos. I want mom and pop shops. I think anytime you find a gas station that's selling tacos, it's worth trying. Yeah. You might end up having some of the best tacos you've ever had in your life. Those little home wall type spots, I ended up being fantastic. Yeah. Lucius, do you have a go to talk us? No, I do not. But I love tacos. I like I'm homemade. I like I'm old El Paso. I know people might judge me for that, you know, whatever, but I'm down to eat some tacos. But if you ask me where to go right now to get some tacos, I'll probably tell you like glorious velvet taco. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You'll get some pretty good tacos there. Hell yeah. We're at an old past. Old El Paso enchiladas. Come on, man. Hey, that's my bag right there. Break an inch of that. You're doing seafood in there? No, I'm just going to do. We're going we're going ground beef. Look at you. Yeah. Getting some love for fuel city. Fuel city is very good. There's a lot of onions. There's now two out. They do a lot of onions on there. They're a little carby stinking for about three days. You better bring some men, especially if you're on a date that might not be the place to go. Number 10, we've got Thrompo, which has changed formats and locations a few times over the years right now, they're off Jefferson Boulevard. But they're right. It's still one of the best spots to score authentic port tacos carved straight from the vertical rotating spit. Yeah. Start there and try other delicious things served on corn tortillas like the steak, barbacoa and chicken finger. There's also a selection of quesadillas that might have you coming back for more. No disrespect to the corn tortilla. It's pretty good, but there's nothing better than a flour tortilla that is just fried a little bit. I'm with you. That's it off. It does. It does set it off. You got any talk open? Are you like a hard or a soft talk? Soft or soft talk? Yeah. Soft talk. You're homemade. Do you go hard shells? Absolutely. Yeah. I think homemade. Like I usually write the hard shell. Pick the crunch in there. Yeah. Sour cream. I'll tell you what though. The thing is you got to get a good one though because if you get the crunch and it just disintegrates on you, stuff's falling all over the place, I understand you could pick it up and eat it and stuff. I just kind of like it all together there. When you bite sometimes on the crunchy one, it just breaks and now stuff is falling out of it and then you're scrambling to kind of gather it back in. I mean, honestly, I need a plate. I love the way that O2 count here to McCormick. Let's go on to talk with a light, some of these other places that will do the soft tortilla around the hard shell. Yeah. I don't think that's a good one. I think that's a good one as well. I'll contain it. Elle. And if I kind of feel like that if you're going to do the taco with the hard shell and I know a lot of people love it, I'm a Tostado guy if that's the case. Okay, Tostada. The flat, you know, and then you can pile it up and open it up a little bit. Yeah. Yeah. Poosa, right? The Poosa's El Salvador. Incredible. Yeah. Yeah. I actually had. Had a good Poosa, the gas station once. Okay. The Pooses, the gas stations are also big ones. Why is the gas station food other? It's like glorious. It's just really good stuff, man. Is it just being around just like that? I don't know. It seems like it's just a great combination of it. It's not harder to be better than Taco Bell. Yeah. We seem like they have good cooking devices in the back like a good grill on the left field. This one's over. Can of corn is over. That's the boy. Oh, it's me. It's it's the way they're marinating it, but the El Pediente in Denton, which was also like gas station tacos, they've since closed down, but that's where Eric and I had our first day. The nose bleetsies podcast was born, but that place was fantastic. Now, I'm probably going to butcher some of these pronunciations. I am a good and go. El Come Taco, C-O-M-E, El Come Taco. Come. Come. Just come at me. Just have like the tilde over the E. Delicious. Thank you. They are specialized. This is all fits you. This is right around the corner here. Cowhead, tripe, tongue, veal brains, just a few of the options on the menu, so you know it's authentic. I'm not a veal brains. Hey, you mean, you might not find this. Just give it a try. I don't need any exotics. I'm scared of the mad cow's disease. Don't worry. You can stick to the skirt steak, the marinated chicken, the al pastor, and the beer battered tilapia. If you don't want to venture out and get a little rapier, they got all that stuff for you too. Full count in Houston. We've also got the Chilengo tacos. This is off Harry Hines, 40-12 Ross Avenue. This bright and busy restaurant channels Mexico City's Tacarilla is serving fresh tortillas and a tight taco menu featuring chicken, how past or carne asada, barbacoic, caramelized mushrooms and the cold favorite pass ball. He walked him third base is not coming in. No risk there. Okay. So the bases are loaded to a base hit ties it an extra bacer wins it for Houston. Briski's throwing heat triple digits up there, but he just lost his command. This would be absolutely heartbreaking for the tigers if they lose this on a walk off. It seems like we're the squares hang out, but, you know, hey, that's just Sandler. Okay, we got to run. Mark Schlerith brought you by Hellman's man. A's were talking NFL week five with Mark next in the G back nation. Thank you, Lucius NFL week five, Mark Schlerith joins us odyssey NFL insider host of the stinking truth podcast, you know, insider calls, brought you by Hellman's real man, a's mayo game day be delicious and a good afternoon. Mark. How the heck are you? I'm doing great. How are you guys doing? We're doing well. You know, we're wondering how good Washington is and I was watching the red zone. Of course, as usual, heard you there with Chris Rose on the commander's Cardinals game. And I wanted to ask you how good you think Washington is or are they just playing bad defenses right now? Um, yeah, Chris Myers, me and Chris Myers. Yeah, I was getting credit though, listen, I think the commanders are offensively they're a challenge for anybody. I mean, you put them on tape and they are running plays that I essentially went to Cliff Kingsbury on Saturday morning going, what do you call this? Like what is this scheme? Like how do you so every time you face them, you're going to get half a dozen scheme runs that you may have never seen before. They're a very unique team built that way and it's been this amalgamation between Cliff Kingsbury and then Anthony Lynn, the former head coach of the Chargers, the Bills, a former teammate of mine that really understands the run game. They brought him in really to set the mentality and to create schemes off of that kind of air raid offense that Cliff was known for in college and what he tried to do in Arizona. And so they've meshed these two things together and, you know, and Cliff is the first, I love the humility of like this, man, the first time around, I didn't have it said, I didn't know what I was doing in the run game or, you know, I didn't know how to implement some things in the run game, much too easy, much too spread, didn't have tight ends like a block. People just go around, you know, it just is changed philosophically for him. So it's a really cool thing to watch and to see him kind of learn from those mistakes. And that's why, you know, I think most coaches, you know, most coaches, they get hired in this league probably have a better opportunity the second time around, you know, Mike Shanahan got hired for the Raiders got fired and then was, you know, great in Denver for 14 years. There's so many stories like that of guys who have a better opportunity the second time around. So it's really cool to kind of watch that offense just change from, you know, from 22 to now in 24. Hey, Stink, I have a question for you, the, I've asked my guys here on the station, this question before site, I was interested in your opinion, because you've been in the offense. If you were to hire a coach, would you rather have a Shanahan guy as a coach or a Shanahan stopper as your coach? Oh, I think for me, I would rather have a Shanahan guy. I mean, who's the Shanahan stopper? Well, it's yeah, but I'm saying if there was somebody out there that you felt like, you know, if you had a guy that, you know, a guy in Minnesota, I don't know, I mean, I'm just throwing ideas out there, but the way that the way it is, I think everybody kind of leaning into the Shanahan way and it's a great way. But I wonder if somebody out there would be, it's like, give me the Shanahan stopper because I'm playing this more and more now every week. Yeah. There's a huge, it's a great question because there's a huge percentage of teams that that's the, you know, that's the base or the root of their offense. And of course, there's, it becomes tangential depending on like what kind of personnel you have, the people you have, how, you know, how you see your offense, how much base you want to play versus how much too tight in you want to play versus how much 11 personnel do you want to play, you know, it all is based on kind of the personnel that you have. And so, you know, I would say it's an interesting question, like if you found somebody could stop that, but I just don't think all the different, all the different kind of levels of that offense and it's, and it's really morph. There's so much more, if you go back to Shanahan when I was there, like we didn't do very much other than the wide zone stuff, you know, we would have occasional gap run here or there, for the most part, worldwide zone stuff and some pin pull stuff, you know, like G scheme stuff. But other than that, that's kind of all we did. And now you see a very steady mixture of gap runs versus, you know, zone runs. It's almost 50/50 in everybody's offense now. So that's the adaptability of, hey, people are playing us a certain way, now let's get to the gap scheme and you start making people's play schemes instead of just blocks. And the next thing you know, you're creating gaping, you know, chasms for your running backs and then all the plaques and stuff that comes after that. So I just know the offense so much better than I would probably choose the offense. Mark Schlarath is brought to you by Hellman's Real Man As you can purchase Hellman's at your local Walmart, Kroger or grocery store to add extra deliciousness and creamy flavor to your game day dishes this football season, Brian and steak, you were in, you were in the Joe Gibbs, the counter tray stuff, right? Which one, I mean, you guys were devastating in that. And that was run out of a lot of different formations, but the same play if you had to pick which one to run the ball with the Gibbs scheme be just as comparable as what the Shanahan scheme was. Yeah. Well, you know, like I said, now it's a mixture of two schemes. And so, you know, there, there's so many pros and cons with all the shotgun that you run into now. You know, it just, it becomes, it becomes very different. I'm a big believer of being under center, you know, and I'm not saying you have to be under center all the time, but anytime you're out of gun, you know, with near or far, meaning like if it's far if the back is on the, like if you're in a right-handed formation, like the tight end is right, far would be the running back to the left of the quarterback, near would be the running back to the, to the right of the quarterback in, in a, you know, in a right-handed formation. And ultimately, what ends up happening is you eliminate maybe 30 to 40 percent of your run game out of gun. There's just not as much stuff you can run. Now, there are some counter schemes you can run out of that. You know, then you run basically mid zone opposite the way the back is, which is a tell for the defense. So you get a lot of slanting, a lot of pinching that way in those type of formation. So like I'm a big believer in getting into base. I'm a big believer in getting into tight ends. I'm a big believer in getting into, you know, under center formation. And the other thing about under center formations is, you know, when you run play action, you first you turn your back to the defense. When you turn your back to the defense as a quarterback, that like they can't help but suck themselves up. Right. They want it. They want to come up and then you flag that ball. That ball is hidden. Yeah. And so it makes it really hard. So you get a, at least if you don't, if you don't get the, the linebacker stepping up, at least you get them to stop their feet. And then they don't get into their drops. And then when you pop back up and you have the ball in your hand, well, now there's wide open spaces to throw the football and you don't get that same action. You don't get that same reaction and gun. You don't gun that the backers have a tendency to play, you don't hide a low. They'll get there out of their drops or they'll get into their drops and then they'll come at its actor run. You don't get that same action on the linebackers and secondary players when you're under center. So again, there's a value to it and you've got to figure out exactly how much you need and how much you want it back to watching. And that's one of the things clip Kingsbury was basically no under center in Arizona. Now he's getting about 20 to 25 plays a game under center. I love listening to the inside of talking with Cliff there because they just him and Jane Daniels seem to be on the same page. You see this across the league with these offenses that are working. The play color, putting the quarterback in the offense in a position to succeed. I wonder, I mean, watching the Cowboys offense, it kind of seems like we're watching another sport compared to like last night with the Lions and Seahawks. Do you think Mike McCarthy gives the Cowboys an offensive advantage as a play color at all? Yeah, I mean, they're obviously Mike McCarthy has had a lot of success in this league and last year they had, you know, they had far more success last year than they've had this year so far. But I think one of the things that you always have to kind of look at is one, how committed you are to running the football and how good you are at running the football. And in a day and age, you know, when everybody poo poo's a run game and it's a passing league, you know, and you've got to the overpay wide receivers and you've got to do this, that and the other. And, you know, and that's the narrative that's out there. People don't really understand the value of imposing your will upon people and running the football and attempts. And one of the things I always talk about, you know, when I'm talking to coaches and when I'm talking to people in general is the attempts become a really big thing to me. And it's really hard for a coach to understand the value of attempts, how it slows down a pass rush, how it creates opportunities in the play action game. And a lot of coaches, if they get a two yard gain and a three yard gain, then a two yard gain and a one yard gain, that's their first five runs. They throw their hands up and say screw it. We're not going to do it anymore. And yet they'll throw seven incompletions in a row and not even think twice about it. And I have, it just makes no sense to me because you've got to change your attitude and your mentality. Listen, if you can applaud a two yard run as long as it's physical and you're beating a snot out of people, then you know that eventually it will have, you know, it will pay dividends, but people aren't patient enough to do it in this league. And that's where you get these offenses that are just putrid because they won't commit to it. And I'll go back to Washington against Cincinnati is good as that offense was in that Cincinnati game and they were outstanding. Do you know that there's the lead running back average two yards a carry and he still got 16 carries. Yeah. And then the other running backs got, you know, a handful of carries each and at the end of the day with their quarterback and their two running backs and actually three running backs, I think they ended up getting like 25 total carries in a game where they're averaging two yards a carry. Like there is, that's a commitment to run on the game. And you think that had an effect on the play action. You think that had an effect on the ball of the top, you're damn right it did. So do the quarterback runs. But like there's so few coaches that will even get, they will even do that. They will like, they'll throw their hand. They can't wait to throw their hands up near and go, well, we can't run it. Let's throw it on every single possession. And then your offensive line gets trucked in because there's no offensive line that can stand up for 40 pass plays in a row. Sorry. I don't care who you are. Even you go back to the days when the Cowboys were the most dominant group I've ever seen as a starting five. Like even if you're throwing it 45 times a game and you're not running the ball at all, they won't hold up. It's just as impossible. It's Mark Slerith here. Drop a knowledge with you on your home of the Cowboys. The media is trying to pry with Mike and ask questions. Why not more motion, whether that Shanahan style or any kind of motion, they're 30th in the NFL. And he won't, he won't, he won't give us a great answer or like a, a candid answer. I guess is kind of what we're looking for Mark. So I would ask you, why wouldn't a coaching staff like, you know, McCarthy and Schottenheimer together choose to just not run that as much? What, what are the cons? Well, you know, it's, it's funny. I coach a little league team with Peyton Manning. And Peyton Manning was pretty good, right? Yes. Yeah. It's pretty good. Completely static formations. They rarely ever motioned. They rarely ever moved anybody. Yeah. It was, we're better than you. And we're going to beat you in these route combinations that we run. So there's, you know, there's a different, there's a different philosophy, like motions and shifts are awesome. And I think they work exceptionally well when your team understands the value of them, understand, and your team is precise. You know, the ball is snapped, right where it's supposed to be snapped. So do you have a good leverage position of your tight end who's crossing the formation is, is, you know, running a lead block or cutting off the backside defensive end or running a lead on the defensive end in combination with another tight end. If that ball is snapped or if that guy's off time or if that guy's not in the right position, then you can't block that guy. You can't block that defensive end and then your place garbage. And so then it becomes down to how precise are we? What kind of precision do we have? And the other part, you know, of that is, hey, do we have receivers that can't beat one on one coverage? Do we have receivers that, you know, that, that need to be in motion so they get free releases and all those different things. And so it's a philosophical approach. And I believe in motion, you know, it's like anything. Motion is really good until it screws you up. It's like the skies on defense. The skies on defense is great until you get out of position and get hit for 80 yards over the top. Then the sky sucks, right? So it depends on how smart your team is. And it depends on what your philosophy is and is it going to do more harm than good for us. Some teams use it and they use it to perfection that Niners are incredible with all the shifts and emotions. But I've also seen, I've also seen, for instance, the Broncos who have really gotten away from shifts and motions in the last couple of weeks and won two games, their shifts and motions brought other guys into the box. And then the offensive line couldn't sort numbers. And so, you know, you're running game all of a sudden you're running and let's say you motion a tight end, you know, from a split out formation or like an open formation. So he's off the, he's off the ball in five years, splitting the new motion back across the formation. Somebody chases across. And all of a sudden you've got an extra defender in the box and you're running some type of zone inside handoff. And nobody accounts for that guy. And that was just tackling practice. And so your guys up front have to understand the motions, understand who's coming to the box. Then you have to change the identification of the mic. And you have to say, man, that guy's no longer the mic. Now this guy's going to be the mic. And we've got to switch across the line of scrimmage. Everybody's got to communicate that. And you've got to, you've got to re-identify that. And you've got to let the widest guy go free or whatever your scheme is. So there's a lot of moving parts, right? And let's say you got a bunch of dumb guys will then motion, and I'm not saying they do, but you know, if you got a bunch of dumb guys, like you can't do all that motion, you can't do all those things because they can't sort out the box. They can't get those number counts correct. And the next thing you know, you've got four or five tackles for losses in your runs. And then you're, you know, behind the eight ball, the entirety of the game and you ruin four drives doing here. The man Mark, that was incredible. Thank you so much. And enjoy week five. We'll talk to you next Tuesday. Sounds good. Think there goes. Mark Schlerith brought you by Manace. That is right. Hosted the stinking truth podcast insider calls brought to you by Hellman's real man. A's Mayo game day be delicious. Yes. I think the 682 hit it on the text. There's your issue. The team commits too many penalties and they know they're not disciplined enough to do it. Probably McCarthy doesn't want to throw his guys into the bus. Maybe so. Maybe you got Tolbert who's doesn't know where he needs to line up. You got a rookie left tackle or rookie center. Maybe his quarterback that that's something that's realistic. It's time now for an addition to the finest wall check where you're taking it. It is a toxic Tuesday and the NFL is getting real toxic. We'll talk about that next in the nation. But you can go back and listen to that with the Odyssey app 105 through the fan.com Twitch and YouTube Expressways coming up in about 15 minutes. LA live will hit at 540 right now. It's an addition of the finest. Here's that. Well, it is a toxic Tuesday and we've got quite a lot of toxic NFL news to get into. Obviously, we've been covering the Devontae Adams story. His coach Antonio Pierce is fed up. Devontae Adams has requested a trade today. The report is from Adam Chester of ESPN. They'd listened to a package. The Raiders are that would include at least a second round pick and some change. So we'll have to monitor what goes on with the Monte Adams moving forward. Then you've got DeSoto zone, Texas A and MLM von Miller, who's now a member of the Buffalo Bills and nobody circles the wagons, like the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo Bills circle the wagon. They're going to have to this week after they just got beat pretty bad by the Ravens. But he has now been suspended for games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. This stems from allegations that he assaulted his pregnant girlfriend back in November of 2023. So the bills will be without von Miller for quite some time. Oh, how long is this? Four games. Four games. Four games. So we've got. Let me ask you a question real quick. With that going on, do you think the Kansas City the receiver was rice was going to get suspended? It might be next year. I think they take their time and wait till like it's all finished. I mean, like the Zeke stuff happens. He'd been in the it happened before he got in the league. There was no suspension until 2017. But with him with the knee injury now that he might be out the year, they might just when they wait, I don't know. I think they would wait because they wouldn't want the injury to be also serving the suspension. Yeah. I think the Zeke thing was was pretty big for the NFL because at that point, that the legal process that played out, there were no charges and they came in with the suspension later and the blowback from that, I think sent shockwaves to the NFL league office. Like we can't be saying we have a better investigation in the courts. Let's wait to see what the law says and we'll we'll act from there. And that way we are sure we have a real solid foundation we're on. Yeah, I think you're right. I mean, a lot of these end up coming a year plus afterwards. Like, I think the Alvin Camara incident in Vegas. We got that was a year after. Yeah, we all kind of felt like that Rice was going to get suspended. Yeah, I know why. So you still will. Yeah, absolutely still. Yeah, that was insane. Okay, we got three pieces of audio here all toxic. We've got Michael Parsons talking with theory sleigh. We've got Bill Belichick on with Pat McAfee throwing shade at the Patriots and then boomerous ice and talking jets. Where do you want to go first jets? All right. Here's boomer. W. F. A. N. I played yesterday. Aaron Rodgers reaction to Robert Salah after he said, yeah, I don't know if we should do the hard count. The cadence might be messing stuff up. And then Aaron Rodgers is like, that's one way to look at it. Take it out. Maybe just hold people accountable. Then when Salah backpedaled from that, he was crawfishing like, Oh, no, no, you're right. You're right. We're gonna keep cadence. Well, here's boomer talking about the toxic nature of the jets right now. I try to watch you to see if I see any interactions on the sideline or anything. Nothing. Nothing. I see a guy walking right past that other guy. I can't imagine that now. I remember those days because I had those days with one, two coaches in particular. And it is because I didn't trust a guy. And I didn't like the guy. I didn't think he knew what he was doing. And it pissed me off. And if you read my body language back in those days with those teams that I was on, you could tell that I was pissed off. And when I see Aaron Rodgers on the sideline, and I see him after the, after the game in the post game press conference, you know, and again, I'm speculating here, but I'm only speculating because I've gone through it myself. I'm not a genius. Yeah. But yesterday's day post game press conference, there is a major issue there. That's on WFAN. Yeah, it's crazy. He's starting to sound like RFK. That's my first observation of a boomerous size. But yeah, you know, I don't, it's not hard to get Aaron Rodgers to not like you. I mean, you can do nothing wrong. And he's, he could not like you for whatever reason. You know, well, I mean, heck, we know about the family, you know, talk to your family. I think that's being mended. I think that relationships getting better now after a decade. But yeah, I mean, certainly it does not seem like he has any respect whatsoever for his head coach. Trying to think of who he, who boomer Seison was talking about. Oh, coach, maybe. I think did he play for like a rich co-tie like a 94? Definitely not Sam Wich. Sam Wich was his guy. Sam Wich was his guy. Everybody to that standard. So he, he also played in Arizona for a year. And he was, they were, they were three and five when he was, I could very well be also one of the ones he's talking about. Yeah. So, but my guess would be rich co-tie somewhere. He was five and nine in 1994. And then they were two and, they were two and 10 definitely rich co-tie is rich co-tie is who he's talking about. Yeah, bigger dumpster fire. Good question. Two on four cowboys or jets for an office. It's still the jets. I mean, the cowboy at least have had some, even though the jets have been to two conference championships in the span in which the cowboys have not, that's what, that's what's so maddening about the cowboys. They do a lot of things. Well, yeah, they just can't finish it. You know, the jets, they don't do a lot of things right. No, not at all. It seems like they just can't have nice things and whoever puts that uniform on, probably going to go poorly. All right. Let's keep it to the AFC East then. Bill Belichick doing his weekly appearance with Pat McAfee. Patriots are sticking with Jacobi Brissette after they lose to the 49ers. But here's a salty bill taking some shots at his former team. I have no idea what the plan is. So I don't know. I can't comment on that. If Mayo says he's got a plan, then I guess he's got one and we'll have to wait to see what it is. I don't know, but that's, I'd say there's a number of issues there. You know, one is, can't move the ball and can't score. You know, got a touchdown off the field goal, on all, you know, 63 year field goal, whatever it was, our field goal and then got a touchdown off the fumble kick off. But, you know, otherwise had a hard time moving the ball. And I don't know exactly what the numbers were, but the amount of time that Purdy had to throw was, was pretty high. I got to think that in terms of the amount of time before the ball was released, had to be the highest in a league or close to it. So I think there are some pass rush issues there. There are some, you know, scoring issues and the Joey Slive is a great, you know, that's a great addition for him. They got a, they got a good kicker. And that's a big upgrade. Basically they suck. They can't move the ball on offense. Their defense can't rush the pass. But hey, they got a kicker now. But otherwise this team stinks. And I'm not there. I mean, he sounds less bitter than I would be, you know, even though there's definitely something that's a good job that saw a craft. Yeah, it's Bob craft. I mean, yeah. And I'm surprised he took a shot at Mayo like Mayo says he's got a plan on his plan. He doesn't like Bob craft. That's a big problem right there. He wants to be missed. No doubt. And a, I mean, certainly it's toxic Tuesday. We knew it would be a struggle in New England. I don't think that's all on Geron Mayo, but there are a lot of problems there. Then there's the weird stuff that's going on with the beef between Michael Parsons and Chauncey Gardner Johnson. So Micah last week on his podcast, the edge on bleached report said he didn't like the comment. Chauncey Gardner Johnson made posts came after they beat the Saints and just calling like, well, they've got Derek Carr over there. We knew that they weren't going to be able to win once we took the lead because of Derek Carr. Micah didn't appreciate those comments. So he made it public. Chauncey Gardner Johnson didn't appreciate that. So Darius Slay Eagles corner coming on Cowboys, Micah Parsons podcast to talk about his teammate DJ Gardner Johnson. This is their exchange yesterday on the edge with Micah Parsons. I'm not like I'm not trying like y'all know, bro, I'm all positive, bro. I'm not trying to text DJ at all. I know he took what I said personally. And you know, before I even get into it, what we think he is like in terms of how we feel, bro, like we all in the NFL, how we, how one of us saying that another person don't belong here, they just that type of person like you feel me though? Like even what a pro like, you know, we still could be humble at any moment like we still gonna get beat. I'm gonna still get locked up maybe for a game or a rep, you know, it's just a game of football. It's just how it happened. It happens. So like, what's your thought on that, bro? Like, hey, one thing I know about eight, man, eight go brain the noise. Hey, go brain the energy and eight go bring all the trash talking that half the team's not doing. So he fulfilled that need for us. You know what I'm saying? He's got with a lot of energy. He go talk that trash, but you know, hey, you go talk, got to back it up at some point of time. And if you don't, he know for show that media go catch it, go catch it on the tension. And he got to be ready now. So every time, because if he don't, we need to move ass every time, whatever, you know, what's up? What are you going to do it? Now, hey, I told him, do you think, man, but hey, you know, now, you don't perform the way you want to perform to get back on you. You feel the media didn't like, uh, Dari Slay going on the Michael Parsons show there. And neither did CJ Garner Johnson as he took to Instagram and just said, damn, as his teammate, I guess, I don't know. Maybe I kind of sounded like he had his back there. I don't think Dari Slay said anything wrong, but we got some drama brewing in that eagle secondary. And I'm here for it. Micah, right in the middle of it. I love it drama on both sides of that. Let's go lock a room. I'm all in on that. We also have an SMU update. Their quarterback, Johari Rogers has opted out of the remainder of the 2024 season, not played in four games. He's going to enter the transfer portal. He's a senior said, first, I want to say thank you to all of SMU and the coaches and the staff for the opportunity. Five and one. Yeah. And he's opting out. So we'll see where he ends up going. He's appeared in 41 games in four years, including starting the entire last season as 19 tackles and an interception so far this year. But those Rogers guys, man, they don't know when they got a good thing going. He's leaving. That's a shame. Yeah, it is a shame. And DJU, I'm not going to try and say his last name. He had a rematch set. Florida State's playing Clemson. He's bitten benched. It's not going to play this week. He's he's out. Oh, yeah. Brought Glenn going to get the starter. We could have had a toxic match up there against his old team in Clemson. Petty ball. I love petty ball. There's football's fun. Thank you. Well, Chuck. Football is finest. Most days, five o'clock hosted by Eric Chia follow who is he's out today. He and the family are sick. Probably. Well, Chuck passed it on to him. You know how they do close socializing. The hell are you trying to say? Okay, we got to run. We have the expressway. Everything break it in the world of sports throughout your broadcast day and then LA live after that next year on the fan. Here we go. It's time now for the expressway. Every afternoon at this time we go commercial free to the top LA lives coming up here at 540. The nation has brought you by cars for kids. Donate your vehicle today at carsforkids.org and the expressway itself is presented by the on time experts. Let's take a look at the big league scoreboard. We have had a treat of afternoon playoff ball here throughout the day. You have the royals leading the O's one zip. Bottom of nine zero out. Okay. Oh, hern is up at the dish trying to get something started for Baltimore. You have the Mets beating the brew crew. It's three, two in the bottom of the third inning. You have Braves Padres coming up at 730 on ESPN and the Tigers beat the Astros three one earlier today as a scuba is the real deal. Hadn't got a chance to watch him much live this year, but he was virtually unhittable and the Tigers pushed together a couple of runs early and they hold on for the win three one. Although the strobes had the bases jammed with two out in the bottom of the ninth and almost had a historic comeback victory there. But they're cursed in H town, aren't they? I mean, the Astros might want to blow that place up. Six in a row, six L's in a row at minute made park. Yeah, they can't seem to buy a win. That's postseason L's. Yep. Okay. Yeah, Wyatt Langford had a massive dub for the final month of the season to win rookie of the month is incredible, you know, but he ended up winning American League player of the month. He becomes the first rookie to do that since 2017. Just an incredible month hit 996 if you do the on base plus slugging and eight home runs. Do you think he's going to be the best ranger next year? Is he going to pass Corey Seager? He's got it all. I mean, he's fast. He runs the bases. I think in the outfield, it's gone maybe better than expectations for his rookie year considering what we were talking about in spring training. Yeah. I mean, the knock was, you know, limited arm strength there, but we saw him make some really dynamite plays with his arm in the outfield. So I don't know that I'm going to go as far as he's going to jump Corey Seager, but I think that he can elevate past the guy like Marcus Simeon, who's going to be 34 years old and is a leader and is still a good player. But certainly I think the conversation of like moving Wyatt, maybe your lead off spot. He is, he definitely could be maybe your second best player and the steals like 19 steals this year. We were talking like, could he end up getting into the Otani territory of steals? And I definitely think 30 next year, very doable, be more comfortable. Yeah, you know, you get some watch, you get on base and you get a chance to let your legs work. I could see him easily being a 30 stolen base guy, you know, 50, not many guys doing that these days. Brian Reimers in the 80s, it was amazing with guys like Coleman and Ricky Henderson, who went after 100 bags on the regular Willie McGee. Yeah, Willie McGee. I mean, I can go all the way back to Lou Brock with the old, you know, Morrie Wills. I mean, they had guys back in the day that used to be able to steal bases and stuff like that. Yeah, but he can be a 30 30 guy like Bobby Whit. Yeah, sure. Good. That'd be amazing. Okay. What needs to happen for the Rangers to get back into contention at 8, 7, 7, 8, 1, 1, 0, 5, 3, as we start to look at this off season, we want to be back in the playoffs. I mean, it's incredible to watch playoff baseball. We're missing this right now on TV, the drama, the feeling that you can't miss a single pitch, plus the pitch clock. You know, it does take me back to the 80s when, you know, baseball was at the center of the sports universe, just with the drama and, you know, everything from last fall, it just was a refresher on that. And it's, it's, it's energizing here to watch these guys play. Yeah, the royals are in the, and the O's are in a, in a one nothing game in the bottom of the night. This is, I mean, this has been just such a will pitch game on both sides and, you know, to watch the, like you said, the drama. Yeah. Rushman's up now with a, with a runner on first and, and no out. So Baltimore's thinking, dude, we can't go out like this two years in a row with one of the best teams in baseball, but they are currently trending in that direction. Okay. Tim Kalashaw wrote about it in the morning paper. What are the rangers needed to do to get back to contention? As usual, I did kind of regret clicking the link. It wasn't that compelling of an argument from Tim. And he, he said you can't depend on money, which is a fair point, got to draft and develop pitching is, is what he was saying. You know, the old, you know, saying about the rangers, you know, the narrative, I, you know, I thought they were okay at pitching. That's what I'm saying. I kind of feel like, and when that's something to do, that's why that's is another thing. Okay. Developing is another thing, but I felt like you have rocker coming through. We were, we were at Bradford coming through. Yeah. When we were adjusting the roster yesterday, going through the roster, like I was fighting you guys on a Volde and your guys are like going a pound sand, Brian. That's the rotation. The rotation's in good shape. Cody Bradford certainly has been a big win, and rocker looks like he's coming on. Lighter still has some work to do, but sliders last outing against the A's. And I know it's the A's, but he went three in the, I think three in a third. And it just was like, he looked good. I was like, I was encouraged by, yes, how he finished up it. That, I mean, to me, like that's, that's a bit of low hanging fruit there. They got rushman. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Like that's something we've talked about for the last few years. I don't think that drafting and developing pitching is how they're getting back in the world series next year. No, they need hitting prospects to come through. It's all about the offense needs to get back to what it was. You need a Dolly's car seat to be healthy. You need Corey Seager to be healthy. You need to find out, okay, Jonah, was that just a one outlier year where you burnt out, which he very well might have been. Can you get back to anywhere close to what you were? Evan Carter, can you be healthy? Josh Young, can you be healthy? Nathaniel Lowe, do you bring him back? Do you upgrade first base? To me, it's all about the lineup. The pitching, I think, is something for the first time you're looking at, man, this is trending in a very positive direction. Indeed. And the other real positive here to look at is the fact that you do have a World Series championship to a recent one, to rest on. And you got your general manager signed up. You got your general manager signed up, and you're not the Arizona Diamondbacks who are in sports misery right now. Of course, you know, they went out with a whimper and then they didn't even make the playoffs. And after making that run to the World Series a year ago, the Diamondbacks look to add to their roster at the end of spring training in the form of one Jordan Montgomery. Yeah. And Lucius, I'm going to pivot here and go to this audio of the Diamondbacks team owner, Ken Kendrick. And he, you know, he did a press conference there at the end and said, well, he, I know exactly who to blame for this move of bringing in Montgomery. This is some of maybe the most blunt owner audio that you're going to hear this out of Jerry Jones. Here we go. Siding Jordan Montgomery and Iran, I'll stick with Montgomery because Iran was hurt for a lot of the year and we didn't get to see him in a full season. But Jordan Montgomery was 25 million dollars and he pitched to an ERA well over six and got the motives of the bullpen. How disappointed are you in that? Let me say it the best way I can say it. If anyone wants to blame anyone for Jordan Montgomery being a Diamondback, you're talking to the guy that should be blank because I brought it to their attention. I pushed for it. They agreed to it. It wasn't in our game plan. You know, when he was signed right at the end of spring training and looking back in hindsight, a horrible decision to, to have invested that money in a guy that performed as poorly as he did. It's our biggest mistake this season from a talent standpoint and I'm the perpetrator of that. Ouch. You got to love standing on that, you know, owning it. Does it exonerate the Rangers for not bringing him back? I would say so. Like right now, I'm kind of looking at Ray Davis like maybe maybe that's the wisdom that we need to rain back, you know, in aggressive front office. Man, I think just the hold out throughout spring training. I think I maybe things maybe that, you know, maybe the Rangers will look good on this one because of how poorly he pitched, but I think the lack of spring training, you look at a couple of things and maybe I need to check on Snell because he was out a horrible start. Yeah. And then back half the season was better for him. Had better hitter. Yeah. So maybe the Rangers did know something. We were trying to say, no, we were, we were having this flashback of this guy's a hero. Yeah. This is, this is Ezekiel Elliott. Bring it back. You know, that, right? Yeah. Yeah. You know, the Cowboys would have, you know, they'd give it a year deal. I agree with, with where you're going there, Brian. I think that it is, I think spring training or lack of it's the lack of spring training. I think he's been, he's been pretty mid like most of his career, not this bad. Yeah. Is he like a top number one ace? No, he's not. But I think that to have his bat of a year's Jordan Montgomery hat, if he had a bit in spring training for the Arizona Diamondbacks, he has a much better season. I'm telling you what I'm doing, Dawson. I'm making an excuse for a guy that was a hero. That's right. That's what I'm doing. I don't mind that. I think when you look at all the pictures that did not get into, he probably would have stunk for the Rangers too. I don't think so. Probably. I think every pitcher that signed late struggled. And I think Jordan Montgomery, that absolutely is a failure. I think it's not an excuse. He has had success with, with Maddox. Maddox. Yeah. So, I mean, I, I want to know what the value is now. You know, he was shooting for the moon. Maybe the price has come down that, you know, a reunion could still be in the cards. Would you create a union of Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame? I don't know if I would. I'd, I'd really have to spend some time thinking about it, because how big gambling has become in pro sports now? I would probably side with sending the message. If you hadn't done it to this point, maybe the time was 10, 15 years ago to do it. Here's my reckless statement that, and I need to do research before I even say this, but this is reckless Brian talking right now. There's a lot worse human beings in the baseball Hall of Fame than Pete Rose. Go back and look at the history of that of the Hall of Fame, the tie-cobs and people like that. There's a lot worse human beings. Horrible people, but maybe horrible people that don't have gambling on the game of baseball. You know what? If you're gambling, I get it. I love horse racing. I love gambling on horse racing. I'm a terrible card player. You would love to play cards with me because you'd have my bank account. High stakes. That's what I'm saying. You know, but to me, look at the Hall of Fame, and I'm sure you can go through and find people, by the way, Kansas City with a victory. Hold on, one, nothing. Take game one against congratulations. That's your, that's your sister team there and surprise. That's my, that's my team. I, who, who knew? I was like hammering vodka in the crowd and watching the Royals play thinking you're bonding with your community. This is a playoff team. But anyway, there, I think if you, if you got to the Hall of Fame, they're far more worse people in the Hall of Fame than Pete Rose. That's a fact. Here's Pete Rose in the 90s on the David Letterman show. Just got out of jail for tax evasion. Oh, okay. And here he was. Can't do that. Make it his case for the Hall call. Did you, how did you get all those hits anyway? No, but I mean, seriously, how, what were you doing differently than everybody else has ever played the game? Well, I was lucky because I didn't have any major injuries. I didn't miss 10 games in 11 years. Wow. And I was lucky because I could switch it. I could hit the ball to all three fields. And I used to pay off most of the pitchers. No, no, no, no. Now, Pete, you're eligible. And correct me if any of this is inaccurate. You're eligible to be reinstated by the commissioner, January, January, was everyone. Yeah, year after I was suspended, I was suspended in 1989. But I just really haven't applied for, for reinstatement because I'm still on supervised released until January the 4th or 5th. And once I'm through with that, I'll have everything behind me. I'm doing the things that you as a citizen would appreciate as being another citizen. I'm cleaning up my act and we'll go from there. Right. And you hope to eventually be reinstated. You would like to get back into baseball, I guess, maybe man. I'm not necessarily David. I like to get reinstated because the ultimate goal for any players to reach the Hall of Fame. And I can't go to the Hall of Fame unless I'm reinstated. So I guess in my case, no sound arrogant or cocky, you just sort of want what you, what you earned. I feel bad for him, you know, never being able to realize that lifelong goal for him. But I do think betting on sports is different. You know, if you, if you break laws like, yeah, they tell you not to do it. Like the gentleman here 469, Babe Ruth beat his wife. And to me, that's way worse than what Rose did Daniel and 40. Yeah. And if you're dealing with the court of law, there's a lot of people in the Hall of Fame that did worse stuff than Pete Rose. But you're talking about cheating the game. Yeah. You know, and that's like rule number one in baseball. Don't gamble on this stuff. So I guess that would be an unpopular contrarian opinion that I have on I was a big Pete Rose fan growing up. There's my guy. There's Pete. There's people that think that he doesn't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. And you know, they're going to get their wish because he's not going to get in the Hall of Fame. That's going to, that's not going to happen. Ouch. That's not going to happen. But, but, but there'll be names. They won't do it like afterwards. No, because you know, they maybe they'll say we didn't want to give it to Pete. We've got to, he's passed and we'll put him up there. We've got his numbers to speak. They absolutely do. We have a different commissioner and they're different leadership. Yeah. It's just the, they're the trustiest writers. They'll be Hall of Fame. There's just, there's so many that you just put an asterisk if you want to, but he actually deserves to be in for what he did. 214 is a good point. It was a lifetime ban. Oh no. Absolutely. And his life is over. Yeah. And by Paul Giamatti's dad. Yeah. But that's, yeah. So the thing, the thing about it is that, you know, the lifetime ban, yeah, but they're not going, they're not going back. I mean, they see lifetime, it's lifetime, your lifetime's over, but we're not going to, we're not going to bring it back. We just not. So. 214. I hope people carry the same energy against Otani. I would, you know, if there was, if there, if we can get some proof of it. Yeah. He if, yeah, they proved it. Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, there's, there's back to back text on the Otani thing, you know, and I wouldn't doubt it, but, you know, there's just a Pete Rose fan. I know that's a terrible thing to say. Oh, it's not. It's not, you know, it's not because I could say gambling on the games and stuff. And, but I, I just look at the Hall of Fame. I just look at the Hall of Fame and I see a lot of terrible people that had never gone through the scrutiny that Pete Rose went through as a play and gambling on your, on the games is bad. If he's a manager, whatever it's a bad thing. Yeah, because people do some people like put their all their money. That's their last hope and they're betting on the red and all of a sudden you're throwing a game and they lose. I mean, that's a bad thing. Now, but now you have college kids, you have NBA players, you have baseball players, throwing games, they're betting on things more and more. And I think as a sports organization, if you would say, well, we're putting Pete Rose in, then I think, you know, that's that's not the message you need to be. I don't think you'll be. The argument was to put him in when he was alive so he could enjoy it. Right. Yeah. Let's let's do this old man solid because what he did for the game, we don't do anything the right way. It's time now to go into the pimp cups crazy. We're Lucius like three of the best baseball players on the planet are not in the hall of fame. Yeah. I grew up as a kid watching that guy play and I was amazed. I was amazed how he played. You know, he was before my time, but my my elementary school friend, yeah, hit me up the other yesterday. Last night on Facebook, man, shout out to Frederick Zgar. He's like, Hey, remember we used to reenact that Pete Rose catching the world series? Yeah. Yeah, we used to reenact that whenever the catcher dropped it, Bob, or something like that. Well, yeah, it felt it popped out of Boone's glove and Rose was standing right there and grabbing right there right there by the dugout. And it is right over there. DJ Lee in Irving, Texas. Oh, man. All right. Let's get it to a toxic Tuesday right after the great Rick James, speaking of toxic. It's that time. That by the way, I told you, I'm happy to take off if you carry on back. Think you can do it. There's a six handicap of all. I was an eight handicap. I can sixty two, but I have you. I've seen your swing. I know you're strong. Let's not act like children. Let's not act like children. Yeah, that's going down. Not this particular one, but there's going to be another debate tonight. This is LA live for Tuesday, October 1st. It's the first of the month. Uh huh. Cash will checks and come on. It is a toxic Tuesday here in LA live. R.I.P. to John Amos. Yeah. A.K.A. Mr. Dow from Coming to America. A.K.A. James Evans from Good Times. James. A.K.A. Officer Freeman from the Players Club. He got time for dollar bill. And he was a real Thespian, real life actor. He'd done all types of acting on the stage, you know, the movies, the TV shows. He's done everything. Real life Thespian right there. And a real truth teller. Go look up any of his podcast appearances. This man will tell you the truth. Looks like a guy that would kick your ass. 100% like he always like would roll up his sleeves and like, yeah, like, maybe we're like watching Good Times and all that. It was like JJ walk was going to get his ass kicked. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Now pops wasn't playing. He would wrestle her nose. God, you know what I mean? Yeah. By the way, Florida Evans was the real villain on Good Times. Where's she real villain? She liked to have her family there in the ghetto because she can have them all together. Every time the family wanted to get out the ghetto, she was afraid of the idea. Oh, where's she? Oh, what are you doing? No. Where's JJ getting all this money? JJ trying to get you out the ghetto girl. Isn't that small place, man? Yeah, the vice presidential debase art tonight there, Mr. Broadus. Yes. Tim Walls versus J.D. Vance. It is at 8 p.m. on CBS. There will be no fact checking from the moderators. No fact checking. Who are the moderators? Lucius, do we know? Oh, it's all gosh. I sorry. I didn't mean to do that. No, it's all good. I did see it, but I didn't copy their names. You find it. I was like, I was like, yeah, we'll just go find it. Yeah, go ahead. That's what we're all here for. We got computers in front of our faces. Yeah, I shouldn't have asked them. The nominees will have to fact check each other. So that means there will be drama. There will be drama. And I could tell by the way, the news was presenting it this morning. Oh, these guys been going back and forth on Twitter. This should be pretty good. I was like, what? We are so unserious. So unserious. All right, we got CBS news is Noro Donald and Margaret Brennan. There we go. Margaret Brennan is out to Margaret. Shoot now questions, not even fact checking. Just back and away. Shoot out something and just back away. Let them fight. Yeah, back and back away. Let them fight again, lob it in there and go. Yes. What a night in there. G back of the day. We do it every week down the fan at 2 30. I will be going to the fair tonight for dinner. I knew you would, but it's a debate. I got to watch the game. I got to watch it. I'm that type of guy. I am that type of guy. You can hit me up at Lucky Lucius P on social media. Lucius Alexander on Facebook. That is L-U-C-I-O-U-S. Yes. That's my name. I tell you, Lucius, need to go for one of those juicy burgers one night for dinner. I think you got me thinking about it. Dude, you got it. I love it. You're thinking about it. Yeah, I bought my sister one. Yeah. I gave it to her and I went to go get like a soda for her. Yeah. At the concession stand, I came back, she had mayonnaise and cheese on the side of her face. She's like, oh, this is good. You need a beach child? Yeah, he's showing a hell of his girl. You can follow us all if you find G-Bagnation on Twitter. Our winner right here comes from the KMC masterpiece, happened a masterpiece of the week on Friday. What the hell is going on with Corey? Sean Sharif said this during crosstalk yesterday. Him painting an alley. Yeah. Alec wins. Three way or G. Go. What? That was during crosstalk. He was trying to get a producer off. Geez. That came off. What the hell did you just say? I mean, that sounds right. A producer battle. Producer Bible. Trying to get a producer off. Remember? You live the freak off. I look at the file, right? Hey. Hey. Hey. I don't know if that's a Tuesday. All right, let's see here. Since we were talking about the debates and everything, oh, I'm Bobby. I thought he was about to talk singing to me. A North Texas man goes viral after buying a signed Taylor Swift guitar, then destroying it. I figured that was a text and I saw that. I saw that earlier on social. Yeah. Yeah, you two. What up? This happened Saturday night and walks a hatchet at the Ellis County Wild Game Dinner. Hosted it. That is a non-profit organization that hosts events, event dinners to raise funds for agricultural. Did I say that right? Agra-cultural. That's one of those words that you say. That's one of those words that you look at but never say, you know? Yeah, I think you say it in your head. Yeah, right. Okay. And a rural education to the youth of Ellis County. So this is for the kids. For age. Allegedly. That's for the kids. The man purchased the never used signed guitar from Taylor Swift for $4,000 at this auction. Well, never used. Never used signed guitar from one of the one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. It's slamming it on stage like Pete Town's. He should have but no, he took a ball ping-pammer hammer to it. It was a slow methodical beating. See here. We don't leave the wrong hanger. The Ellis County Wild Game Dinner spokesperson implied that it may be related to Swift's recent endorsement of Kamala Harris with president. Oh, yeah, that probably do it. Yeah, got him right there. Came and destroyed her. What a flex though. I got so much money. I'm going to buy this guitar just so I can break it. Tear it up. I don't like Taylor Swift. I don't like our guy Matt Pittman was at the Wild Game Dinner there in Walks Act. I don't know. I'd have to ask him. Yeah. Taylor Swift Instagram post is probably what triggered him right here. Taylor Graham Instagram post helped drive a surge in voter registration. Vote.org recorded more than 35,000 registrations after her post or cat lady post. Yeah. Yeah. The canceling is on fire during toxic Tuesday. The canceling is on fire. Political wise. Oh, yeah. Netflix cancellation surge after co-founder Reed Hastings endorses Kamala with a $7 million donation. Netflix's US cancellation nearly tripled. Wow. Oh, taking a stand. Apparently taking a stand. I guess that's not the race prices or the password sharing. Nothing like that. It took an endorsement. That seems kind of flaky. If you ask me and I'm very strong when if they drop the prices for them, I'm gonna still take it. I'm gonna say thank you, dog. Appreciate you, bro. I can get it, fail. There's no bigger endorser than you though, Lucie. She watched that stuff all the time, right? What? Netflix. I watch everything. Yeah. That's what I thought. Consuming it all. Yeah, consuming all I tried to I get frustrated when I'm like away from the house and I'm like, I could be watching the series. What are we doing? What are we doing? Kind of on the penguin, too. Oh, the penguins sold you. Good. It was welcome. I got to watch that. What's it on the penguins on which one? Max. Max, but I call it HBO Max because why kill a brand name like that? Yeah, it's crazy. The music, right? And we like that music. The music for HBO? Absolutely. Lucie's got the whole school for that. Yeah, I love that joy. Speaking of cancellations and Twitter, Fidelity estimates that Twitter, his value has dropped to $9.4 billion. Paid $44. 30 bill. He's lost. Yeah, a decrease of 79% since Elon Musk took over. Man, I guess funding an election is expensive. You need to stop. Chill out, bro. It'll be worth it if you win. Chill out. They're gonna get you, bro. I mean, everywhere I go on Twitter now, it's either I had to mute him because he's up like every time I refresh the screen, his latest tweets at the top. Yeah, I was like, dude, I don't want to get into political mode right now. Nah, I'm coming to see the people that I follow. I'm just trying to laugh. I remember Twitter is funny. Like people used to go for the jokes. It was the jokes and the jokes used to get people in trouble. Yeah. And I remember, I remember when Twitter started changing, when you would turn on to the late night news and they'll say, a gilbert golfer is in trouble because he tweeted this and then I'm like, what? Yeah. Why don't we worry about what gilbert golfer tweets like the new Facebooks? Yeah, man. What are we doing? What else we got right here? LA live 1053 to fan on the toxic Tuesday. We had a shooting, shooting that in the field hockey game at Temple Sports Complex, the Temple University. Yes, sir. Nice. Yeah. A full shooting. Is it like in a scary place? This wasn't sports related. No, I went and watched a basketball game and a guy said, don't take your car. Oh, so I had to take a cab, leave the car at home. Yeah, I took a cab and then I and then quickly the guy said, okay, when you get done with the game, leave the stadium and go arena and go don't hang around sounds like Oakland. Yeah, don't hang around. A game between LaSalle and St. Louis University was called after gunshots led players and coaches off the field. There were no injuries though, people. No injuries. The shooting occurred at an off campus fast food restaurant. Yeah, Sal's another Philly school. This is unrelated to the game. Let's keep it moving guys. Yeah, you know, everybody okay? Yeah. Hey, Philly, that happened in Philly. It's not Brazil. Yeah. It's Philly. Well played well played the Brazilian soccer team when they have a game in Philadelphia. They're like, be careful. Yeah, be careful. Don't wear that. See what I'm saying. Don't go out in February of 2024. Don't go out. Yeah, don't wear a silver and blue out there, bro. It was actually being broadcasted on the ESPNU at the time. Listen to this. Whoa. Yeah. Yeah, shoot. It took us so long. It looks like there's a running off the field. There were some loud noises and it looks like players are evacuating the field right now. Bro, you didn't hear that noise? That's what gets me, man. Like, yeah, I don't hear that. Like, I can understand if they're wrong. Yeah, man. That was a shootout. Yeah, I was multiple weapons changing fast enough. When I see these videos, I'm like, I don't not see what's going on. Maybe I've heard a lot of shootings. That was a long one. That was a lot. That was a lot. And it's not a fireworks show during your game. I don't know, man. When I lived in East Dallas, it would happen a lot. And I just figured that it was people shooting in their backyard. They're not shooting at each other. It's fun. Because one time it was actually me, you know? Yeah. I got that. I got this air rifle that was loud as a 22. Yeah. And I boomed it. And I thought it was just going to pow it, you know, like a daisy or a crossman or something. But it went loud. And then I looked on the neighborhood app and they were talking. Something that just turned out. Look at me this time. I'm sorry. Yeah, that's what we do with my dad's house. He lives over there by Joe pull way up their own heels in the bluffs on the bluffs and I'll be in the backyard. Sam out there. Hey, speaking of shootings and whatnot, this rapper, Chicago rapper, Lil Law. He's a drill rapper. He was shooting a video and then shooting started interrupting during the video shoot. Like there was another shootout. Yeah. That's close. Bro. It was like a fourth of July finale. We're doing a lot. Listen to that. They got some guns. Oh, wow. Yeah. Automatic. That's a war. Yeah. Still going in coverage. Web boy has some boom. Somebody went to his car. Somebody opened the trunk. Scary out here, bro. It's scary hours. We are so unserious. So unserious. Be careful. Please people. L.A. live 1053 defend on the toxic tools day. The first L.A. City Council meeting of October happened today. Sweet. I watched it while you guys were prepping. Please. I got some of the highlights for you. L.A. is not a serious place either. L.A. is not a serious place. By the way, L.A. Los Angeles City Council members earned about 2 18 K per year. Okay. So they're paid enough to take this beating. Yeah. This guy right here is talking about all the violence on Figaroa. Good morning. So you have three minutes for the items and one minute for general. Please begin with the items. Did you say I could read 42 or we off that one again? 42 has been continued. Pardon me. 42 has been continued. Oh, thank you, pumpkin head. We don't talk about down to Los Angeles on Figaroa. Let's go to item 39 consideration of the God City owns. I know number 39 has also been continuing. I choose to pick my other items about housing and domestic violence awareness. Paul Concordian Armenian dictator has continued not to support violence awareness against. So this is not on the agenda. You need to tie it more closely to the agenda. I'm going to move you to general public comment. This is your only warning. How you get a warning at that? I just get a warning, bro. Let me tell you what, they're being a little bit more stern with this though, Lucius. Don't they just let them just go? Yeah, just let you go. But this guy kind of stepped in like, listen, you're out of bounds here. You need to kind of tighten this up. Yeah, you need to slow down a little bit. Yeah. I got a few more clips, but why don't you just don't have the time for it? I'll play you one more. You can call in via phone and complain about things to the LACD council. They should not allow this. It's like C-SPAN. Which items would you like to speak to? What item you got today that pumpkin head. Okay, actually always request all items. You have three minutes for the items and one minute for general. Please begin with the items. That's items one and two, items 23 through 38, items 40 through 41, and items 43 through 44. It's a real place. Wow, that's a lot of get to it. I hope I get to them all there. Anyway, I'm south of the Spokane community and I thank you anyway, pumpkin head. I'm and quick question there. Friday you said something about probation. I was wondering if I get on probation, do I have to come down there once a week and be in a cut for you there brother? So again, this is not on the agenda. So please stick to the agenda. This is your only warning or I'm going to move you to general. Well, what about probation? We spoke about that because I need to know because I got to make time for you and the tick down don't figure it all because you know them five dollars ain't going to spin themselves. All right, so one minute for general public comment. Go ahead. Right, that's what I was talking about with probation. You were telling me about Friday something about probation and all that. Will you be my P.O. by the chance? Because my last P.O. was a hot chick and I have to press somebody's legs on them there. I'm going to have the P.O. And if I go out and be in the cup, I'd like to give it to a nice little lady and I'd like you. None of this is the subject matter jurisdiction of the city. So this is your only warning. Please stick to the general public comment. Go ahead. But damn, you ain't no kind of damn help today brother. Geez. You guys are improv genius. They're pretty good. Yeah, they're pretty good. All right. All right, that's my time. My name is Lucius Alexander R.P. John Amos. I'll be back here tomorrow on a hump day, a butt naked Wednesday. Lord willing and the creek don't rise. Holla. Hope you're having a fantastic little afternoon slash evening coming up at 620. It'll be time for TD Tuesday Shaka Lock. And we'll relive some of the great moments from week four, the NFL, week five of the college football season. Right now it's a proper round trip or brought to you by Uber Eats. Let's talk some baseball with Wolf Chuck. Well, let's do it. Of course, we're tied right now for four in the top of the fifth Mets and Brewers. That game going on in Milwaukee after the Mets punch their ticket to the postseason yesterday and their double header with the Braves. Braves will be taking on the pod raise later. Derek Scooble gets his first postseason when he was stellar in a shutout baseball for him. Astros were pushing to come back and get a walkoff when in the ninth Tigers held them off three one. Tigers get the win. Astros have now lost six in a row in the postseason at the juice box and then it made part in the royals. Cole Ragan's former Ranger gets a win as he started today for Kansas City won nothing. I think with Ragan's six innings, 80 pitches and they pulled him. It's efficient. I mean, I was thinking like, bro, keep dealing man. Keep dealing. They must have believed in their bullpen. Yeah. Well, they did. They got it done. I mean, it was one nothing. Sam long, Chris Boobich. That always seems like that when you pull your pitcher, like they've got, you know, pulling them too early. You pull them too early. That never ends well for that your team, but they got it done in nice fashion. Well, Bobby with Junior, also a good debut for him. Callible heritage zone as the O's still looking for some postseason success as they lose again at home after the Rangers were able to take the first two games of their a LDS match up a year ago on route, of course, to the Rangers World Series championship. So they'll get it going again tomorrow as we'll see if the O's can go ahead and even up that series. But we did get the top selling MLB jerseys in 2024. That was released and it's really a surprise. Who's at the top of the list and make a baseball going with Shohei Otani? I'm going with Shohei. You'd be right. Shohei Otani comes in at number one with that new Dodger jersey. He was the top selling uniform in all the major league baseball. Corey Seeger did make the list. He was the 11th highest-selling jersey in Major League Baseball this year. Number two, you want to take it, Gander? Do you hear that, Karen Judge? Well, Chuck, so Judge was number three with the Yankees. Derek Jeter. Jeter, honestly, probably still probably getting a lot of it's just a wild guess. Yeah, it is a big name player. Okay, so it's not like Ellie De La Cruz. It's not Ellie De La Cruz. He was 14. Okay. He was 14. Pitcher. It's not a pitcher. No, it's a traditional folder. It's used to play the outfits. Mookie's four. So you got one, three, four. I mean, you're crushing right around it. Play is in a city that does a lot of baseball. Oh, it's it's, but we have Bryce Harper. It's Bryce Harper. Yeah. Bryce Harper at two. Show. Hey, one Bryce to Aaron Judge, three Mookie bets for then Francisco and door with the Mets came in at number five. Of course, Seeger, the only ranger in the top 20 playing Kershaw. Still getting it done was 19 on the list. Adley Rushman of the O's finished out the top 20. Did you say number 20? Derek Jeter. Is it isn't Bryce Harper? Wait, he's been around and he's been a Philly for a while. I was kind of surprised that he was number two. He was a commander. I think he's super overrated. You think so? Yeah. I just thought, you know, I don't, I don't think that that's superstar material. Am I box scoring him a little too hard? You think we'll check? I mean, I do think he's going to get stands on the line here. He'll, he'll straighten me out. I think he is good, but why do I feel like people be waiting for you down. I mean, this is the, he's not in the same conversation as O'Tani. No, he's not. No, but Philly people love him, but no, they do. They love him and Nick. He's always hurt. He's never hitting over 300. He's going to help me out here. He has heard a lot. And now he's playing first base. So that's some sando. I mean, they love him there. Everybody. Everybody's got a jersey on with him leaves Washington. And what did the nationals do when the world series? So I don't know, there could be something there, but I do think he's pretty damn good. Now we love playing Chris. Showed you Russo audio. Okay. Now yesterday. Yes. Wait, you don't like listening to mad dog? No, I was talking with me and Dawson. I have a conversation. Oh, no, take it. Carry on. Carry on. Carry on. Carry on. You're good. Mad dog, right? Yeah, mad dog. It's the top right there. Metz were winning a win and in game by a score of eight to seven. All right. Now that was courtesy of a home run from Francisco Lindor. Mad dogs doing his show on the radio, games going on. And he just breaks into play by play mode. Here's a three one from Diaz. And there's a ball in the left field and pretty well it and is off the wall. It gets by the left field. The one one will score. Two runs will score. And there's a ladder brave score. Another one. A three one double off the wall and left field by our good buddy Alby's and Atlanta leads seven to six in an absolute classic now that Atlanta. The Mets who had a six money didn't bring Diaz in and Diaz gives it up back to back to back to back and now all of a sudden the Mets. Oh my goodness. How they bounce back in a game two scenario will be fascinating and places now can close it as New York trail seven to six as always just missed a grand slam out the deep left at a three one pitch and here comes a Zuna 12 in front of the hour. We continue our man dog unleashed right after this and we go people are now calling for mad dog Russo to be doing more play by play that make your head explode. You can't let's do it the whole time. Interjecting here and there like I like that that was fun. That was fun especially like a big moment like that. But nine innings. Yeah. Yeah. No, no, no, no. You drive your car off the road. Do you think you can maintain that? No, no, no, no, no, in your head against the steering wheel. That's the crescendo. That's the big moment for that. Oh gosh. Yeah. I mean, that's the spice. The stamina. I don't think he's got it for nine innings to do that because he's got me as he can. Well, it's actually he's going the other way. Yeah. But he calmed down a little bit. But that's why he does half a gummy, you know, so he can still kind of keep doing half a that was outstanding stuff for mad dog Russo. And if you're listening to a show yesterday, you weren't though. Because you're listening to the G back nation. Because Dawson was doing play by play. Yeah, you sure can. I'm sure can. Honestly, some of my favorites when we've randomly gotten some chases that are going on 75. Yeah, breaking to that. Yeah, the Daytona 500. My favorite one was my favorite one. Newman inverted. Yeah, Dawson called the last lap of the Daytona 500 with a massive wreck. Yeah, there's flames. It was serious. I mean, everybody walked away. Okay. Thank God. Hey, brought as you call cap on mad dog and a half a gummy. I do. Okay. There's no way he's having half a burrito. You're just not going to do that. Get the whole burrito. You go full. You don't go half. You don't brag about it either. Maybe he hadn't had half a gummy. You overdid it sometime, didn't you? Then you one time overdue. You were struggling bad. It's happened. You know, overdoing it is is, you know, possible. Yeah, that's all I can confirm that the edibles can sneak. I thought you told the story about that. If you overdid it, you're like zombieland maybe on our last flight to Oxnard or something it was. I might have happened. Is that way? Is that way? Is that way? You had the, you had your blanket over the top? Yes. You're like a ghost. Yeah, ghost. Yeah. The shivers and the shakes a little bit there. What happened? We can't. It absolutely can. Chris Sale. We were joking yesterday. Like he's not on the roster back. Was that maybe just saving him? No, he's not on the roster at all. That's a serious thing. So he got scratched from the game yesterday by the Braves and then they didn't put him on the roster for the wild card series against the Padres. Yeah. So he, I mean, that was, that was legitimate. So that stinks for the Braves. He's already without their ace pitcher. Of course, Spencer Strider who got hurt earlier in the season. Chris Sale at 35 years old. Man, Rangers to tear his butt up. They, they used to and he's got a hell of a bounce back. I mean, he could be this year's, uh, Cy Young winner in the national league, but wow, gosh, quite a talent. Yeah. It's, uh, I don't know what the Braves are going to be able to do against the Padres. We'll see. It would be this Padres find a way to lose. This is like a replay of the 90s where they had this dominant roster and all these players for a decade and you would assume a roster that good would have hung multiple World Series championship with one. I'll tell you what, the Mets after playing two yesterday, they're all over the Brewers. Damn, they're eight to four. They've scored four runs since we've just been doing this segment. Yeah. My gosh, why don't you break him with play by play, Brian? No, it's got, that's Dawson, go full. Mad dog. Dawson's a play by play guy. Come on. Mad dog. Uh, yeah, we can do that for 69. We can definitely look no worse for where after yesterday. All right. I saw this from our buddy, Sean McFarland, white Langford, tricky season. Where does it rank among all time rookie seasons in Rangers history? It's hard to argue that there's, you know, a ton better, like no, Tolly Feliz obviously had an outstanding rookie season. Peet and Cavillia was fantastic. His rookie season, but the walk off home runs, the big moments, the defensive plays. Of course, he hit for the cycle Sunday night baseball. I mean, Langford had an outstanding rookie season. And I think it ranks among the top, in my opinion, in terms of rookie seasons in Texas Rangers history. What can I, man? I need to look this up. I think Jeff Burroughs. Jeff Burroughs? 1974. Was that a rookie season where he was rookie? I'll look it up. I don't know that one. Yeah. I don't know that one. Now, Tolly Feliz Garcia as an older veteran, he was like 30 years old. He had a 3.7 war. I mean, that gets included in here. He was awesome. Josh Young last year, certainly had an amazing year until he got hurt in miss six weeks. Mike Hargroves listed here. Mike Hargroves was a good one. Elvis really good in 2009. Jim Sunberg, he had the high. No, it was bump Willis. Bump Willis said the highest. Bump wills. Yeah, wills. Bump wills in 1977 with the 5.4 war. I mean, that's pretty damn unheard of. Yeah. That was pretty incredible. And somehow finished third and rookie of the year voting behind Eddie Murray and Mitchell Page. Yeah. Mitchell. My gosh. I got a 5.4 war. I can't believe that. But why it just did was extraordinary. And then he just capitalized one September player of the month and a record rookie of the month in the American League. So pretty damn incredible. Mark Tashira had a great rookie year for the Rangers. Oh, who could forget you Darvish? I mean, not yeah, not a rookie rookie, but hell, itchy road one. That's true. You Darvish was absolutely incredible. He had a fantastic year as well. Okay. Biggest success for the Rangers. This was courtesy of ESPN and then their biggest failure. Oh, the success. They're still going with the core. Like the Rangers roster moving forward of veterans next season and then some mixed in youth. Still very, very strong when you've got guys like Corey Seager, but also the youth Wyatt Langford, hopefully Evan Carter, Josh Young, Camar Rucker, Jack Leiter. That's the biggest success from this year. Getting guys like Rocker back. Langford was awesome. Jack Leiter improving at the big league level. Biggest failure though. I don't even know that this was really a failure. I think it was just kind of bad luck, but they just said probably a pipe dream all along, but it was the hope and belief that maybe we could get into the fall classic and see DeGrom and Scherzer pitching alongside each other in the starting rotation. That'd be something and speaking of pitchers, you know, I think actually Chris Young would be eligible for like the Rangers all time rookie team because he was he was good. Was that season? He still had eligibility, rookie eligibility when they traded for him for, I think I know Diaz back in the day, he was three and two with a 470 RA down the stretch over seven starts as they were battling for a playoff spot there back in back in '05. He's pretty outstanding. I'm always here to vote for see what you find your guy, Brian. Yeah, Jeff Burrows won an MVP in 74. He wasn't rookie there. His first season was with the Washington senators by member 74 in the with the Rangers. He was an MVP. Wasn't like, I thought he was a rookie then, but he deserves a mention. Yeah, he was he was a good player for the Rangers. I guess NFT one rookie of the year in 2010 that that NFT season was pretty special. It absolutely wasn't nasty. Yeah. And then of course, you know, that team ended up making to the postseason as well and going on a magical run, but there's a round of the bases brought to you by your breeds. Thank you, Wolchuck. Always look forward to our next edition as we go into the winner and, you know, anticipate the greatness of what CY is going to be able to do for us to put us back in contention next October. Okay, we're back here with a TD Tuesday. We'll have an audio celebration of all the scores that was here in the past week of football here. That's next in the G back nation. Welcome back nation. It is a TD Tuesday, the best collection of calls from this weekend in football. All the glorious teeties. Take it away, Lucius. Boom, shock, a lot. Boom, shock, a lot. Boom, shock, a lot. TD Tuesday, shock, a lot. Oh, yes. We start off in Atlanta with the Falcons. It's a muffed punt recovered in the end zone for a TD. And he's going to hang it high to the near side. Shaheed will signal for the fair catch it from the ball. Scramble in the end zone. Atlanta's got it. Oh, my heavens. Kadero Hodge was down there. I don't know if he's the guy that fell on it or not. Well, Shaheed completely lost for he was on the field. He sickles for a fair catch and actually tries to field this at the two yard line. It is a touchdown for Atlanta on Kadero Hodge's fumble recovery in the end zone. Boy, don't ask Keith Hernandez to commentate on a muffed punt. Never know what you could get. You never know what you get on a muffed fun. That is for sure. And that is very, very rare that you get the muff punt recovery in the end zone, but Atlanta Falcon radio network with the call. Let's go to Chicago to bears. They've really been struggling to find their way into the end zone, but DeAndre Swift, 36 yards. Giddy up for a TD. One back set snap dancing inside over a man. Swift for the burst of the 25 20. He's going baby. Ten five hands on touchdown. Bears 36 yard. Jill at by DeAndre Swift. Man, it's not like Mickey doing the play by play. Are you there? I think it's Jeff Jonyak. Jeff Jonyak with the network. Yeah. Yeah. Could be. Yeah. Could be. I'm actually not sure the play by play. No, that's I think it's him and Tom Thayer. I think do they do believe you. Yeah. Good old Jeff. I mean, heck of a voice. Very unique voice there on the bears broadcast. Jony, Jonyak, I think it's how you say his name. Jonyak. Yeah. All right. Let's go to the Vikings radio network and their love in life right now. They're four now and Sam Darnell, you get a TD. You get a TD. You get a TD. How about Justin Jefferson? He's found a TD in all four of his games. First and goal from the 14. Darnell, though, the shotgun puts Jefferson in motion to the right. He'll go that way to the end zone. Cut. Touchdown. Didn't mean with that cut. Justin Jefferson with a 14 yard touchdown grab. And the Minnesota Vikings lead the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field 27 0 with 528 to go in the first half. I thought he was going to say, you kid me with that growl. The drama is out of the game, bro. We just went up four scores. The drama will be back in the game. Yeah, it will be. It will be. Unfortunately, the Packers did not come back and win, but they certainly made it interesting. 309 Jeff Jonyak, best radio voice in the NFL. Touch down payers. I like it. All right. I was right. There you go. All right. Let's get some Paul Allen with the Viking call. Correct. Yeah. Paul Allen with the Viking call. They got to learn because we interview these guys for the pre pre game show. Yeah. Always try and learn who they are. Yeah. Yeah. This week, the Steelers say that guy's got a unique voice too. All right. Let's go to college. College TDs on a Saturday. And arch manning. Man, we got, I got some grief. They're like, Hey, where was the arch manning touchdowns last week? I'm like, I played them two weeks ago, but I got you. Craig way. Craig way, Craig way. Here you go. Arch, take it away. Manning out of the shotgun with three receivers out wide, right. Arch with a snap. Fact, the throw looking still looking. Going deep into the end zone. Split to defenders and on third and 10. Manning hooks up with more for another touchdown. Mm. Mm. The crowd noise. Booming. Booming as the horns get their first SEC dub, but they get jumped in the polls by Alabama. They'll have a chance to go ahead and jump Alabama later on in the season. They're going to take on Georgia. Maybe they can get that win. They wake up to one week after the Texas OU game. Texas OU, they got an off week, and then they're ready for Red River just up the road at the cotton bowl. We go to the Lions. Say hello to Lucius for dinner there. Whoo. What a game it was in Detroit. Monday night football, Ben Johnson's in his bag, the Detroit Lions radio network having fun with an Amun Ross St. Brown throwing a TD pass to Jared Gulf. Jared leans in. There's the snap. Jared on the end around gives it to Amun Ross. He's going to throw it to Jared. Here we are. No, Jared. Maybe on the receiving end of a pass from Amun Ross St. Brown. Oh, Ben Johnson. I see you too. That is beautiful stuff. That is Monday night magic. The Detroit special magic Dan Miller made it look good too. Dan's a good dude. Dan Miller, matter of fact. Yeah, we're going to get to talk to Dan a couple weeks, a couple weeks. Yep. He'll be back here. You know, the lines are going to want revenge after what happened last year. We'll get it. Yeah, it's going to be tough to slow down that running game. All right, let's fire them cannons. Go to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers radio network gene decker off with the call Bucky Irving Nick Harris, his draft crush. Bucky's fine and pater. Hey, Phil kicks a leg and motion scurrying to ever piss the ball to Bucky everybody who left that is a touchdown Tampa Bay. Stop me once. You can't stop me twice. I hear cannon fire again. Bucky Irving. He's going to wear out the cannon crew. I don't know what the hell gene said before the firing of cannons. That cannon sound was not that impressive. No, I was going to say it was booming. Loose just played audio. The gun fire. Yeah, that's something playing drums on the table or something might be going light on the cannons these days. They could be the case. Okay, we talked about the baby oil and Jamar Chase earlier. Well, here was that glorious TD Joe burrow to Jamar courtesy of the Cincinnati Bengals radio network. Burrow in the gun on third down and three. The Bengals hit their own 38. Joe looking has lots of time has passed caught at the 50 by Jamar Chase breaks the tackle streaking down the far sideline. See you got to make team eight and he will take it to the house for a 63 yard. Bengals touchdown. Unbelievable. He was bouncing off defenders. Then just takes it down the left sideline. It was a glorious touchdown. That guy. Nice. Nice. Yeah. That's that. That's Dave Lapham with the Dan Hoard. Now on the broadcast always been since 2011 Dan Hoard. All right. Back to college. How about that? Let's do it. Saturday night. That's a changer right there. Dave Lapin is the cheerleader of the group. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Let's go to the Shannon Sharp video. Yeah. I'm a fail. I'm a fail. I'm a fail. Not Smith Hill. All right. Let's go to the Sooners. Peyton Thorne with a pick six in the Oklahoma radio network was loving it. There's the snap back to pass. Looks right. Darts went across the middle. Intercepted. Kipluis has it for sideline 50. He's called the sidelines 40. He's to the 30. Kipluis down the sideline being changed to the five. He reaches touchdown touchdown. Kipluis pick six. Kipluis pick six and the Sooners lead it at Auburn. How about Kip? Kip Lewis. The name Kip. I don't know what it kips. I kind of like the name. No couple. Yeah. Kip Lewis. Usually a good guy. Good guy. And that was a hell of a pick six there from Peyton Thorne. All right. Let's go out of the commandos. Washington's having fun with this. The Washington commander's radio network last week. Much better call. Oh, you got you got an ad popping up there. Yeah. It was it's I was looking at Oklahoma's broadcast. But they give you some ad for damn it. Jumping on. Oh, yeah. All right. Boomer sooner. They're trying to see like the same thing that was going on. All right. Let's get to Washington, Jeremy McNichols. Eric was ticked off about it. McNichols was taken all the TDs away from Brian Robinson Jr. Here's the 27 yarder. 1028 to go in the first half. Hand off McNichols to the left has room 2520 gets away from Baker to the 10 five goes to the end zone. Touchdown touchdown Washington, Jeremy McNichols with a strong run to the end zone. Man, Jeremy McNichols has come out of nowhere. Boise State drafted by the Bucks looked like a bus. Looked like he was going to be out of the league. Now he's found a home there with the commanders, the game of maybe the year we go to Tuscaloosa. It was Georgia. It was Alabama Carson back with the TD heard around college football. Finding Dillon Bell. Force receiver set for Beck, snapping back to Carson. He drops back with time. Pump fakes. Now throws it down the middle. Bell is breaking open caught at the 30 Bell to the 20 Bell to the 50. They catch him and spin him at the 10. He breaks away. Touchdown, touchdown, touchdown Bell into the end zone and the dogs miraculously have taken the lead with two 31 to go. It was a dig and go. Great protection there by the Georgia offensive line. Love it. Digging go, TD, get old Georgia Bulldogs radio network there and they thought my gosh, have we done it? Have we come back from so far down to find a way to win in Alabama against the tide? We'll get to the other side of that momentarily, but we go to our friends on the west coast or should we say our rivals? I can't stand you, but you do have a good broadcast. The San Francisco 49ers, Brock Purdy, finding George Kittle with a Superman heroic effort for a TD. Brock back at a throw for the end zone for Kittle. Live ball. George went up and caught the ball. Touchdown. San Fran, San Francisco. Kittle in the corner, baby. Superman in the phone booth. He went up and there are players raped all over him. Brock gives them a chance. He goes up in high points. And it was an animal, dude. He is Greek. That size is an incredible catch. Greg Papa with the call. Oh, Papa, San Francisco 49er radio network. Let's go to Cleveland. This was the Browns. They didn't have a lot of cheerleading to do on Sunday. And unfortunately for you, Brian, you'll be doing a bad payoff. But yeah, Rodney McLeod did get himself a glorious fumble recovery for a TD with Tucker in motion. Minshew gives the white running right hitting the backfield, ball is down, picked up by the Browns, picked up and run it down the sideline, Rodney McLeod, touchdown. Nobody wants to be contemplating life on that plane ride home. You needed a huge turnover. You got it. It started with Obah Oka Ronco hit them in the backfield. The Browns had it. Then it bounced out again. And Rodney McLeod picking it up and running it into the end zone. Said our guy with the ears and the enders. Celiana Celiana Celiana on the play by play. He's played by play guy now. He's just got the gig. Got the gig with the brownie left. And you could hear in his voice like, thank God they scored a touchdown. Unfortunately, they didn't get the win. All right. Let's go to Bama. The Alabama radio network jail in Milro. Maybe your Heisman favorite right now finding the freshman sensation, Ryan Williams. The first of what could be as many as three meetings potentially this year between Alabama and Georgia has been a wild one snap going to Milro looking deep downfield, looking for Williams, comes back makes it catch trying to split defenders, makes them bang into each other, stays on his feet, breaks the tackle, scores, scores, scores. Ryan Williams won play 75 yards. Four plus two equals six for Alabama three games lead. Yeah, he killed it. He did. What a call. What a play. He smoked that play the decade. It was an incredible call, an unbelievable play, a phenomenal finish. And what a hell of a game. Where did the ball bounce off to go up so high his hand? I think I think it was like a shoulder pad. Wow. But I mean, the way that he was able to like bounce off a defender and he keeps his speed. Like he, I mean, Ryan Williams, he's so fluid. It's unbelievable watching him after the catch, but the hands unreal. All right. Let's go to Kansas city. Existura, by the way, on the call, Chris Stewart on the call. This is Mitch. Good old Mitch Haltis. Can city chiefs radio network Patrick Mahomes. Finally, a deep ball, maybe his first one since Tyree kill. This is the longest throw he's had in a few years and he's finding Mr. X, the former Texas Longhorn. And motion is sky more moving short to the right is Mahomes coming at long. Coming down the near side, the pass is caught. Touchdown, Kansas city, a long bomb. And the chiefs finally get there a 54 yard bomb to Xavier Worthy, capturing Mahomes, a perfect throw, burning Christian Fulton. Yeah, I think that was his longest touchdown throw in three years. Yeah. 54, you got himself a burner again. They burn Christian Fulton there. All right. We closed down TD Tuesday. We go to Derek Henry. Oh, King Henry. What a way to start the game. Sunday night football, the Baltimore Ravens radio network. They were having fun in big D, but they also certainly had some fun in Buffalo. Jackson stands five yards deep. He'll give it to Henry. Right side, big hole in their cross. Oh, he's going leg race 40, the kins and midfield rolling 40. He goes 20, 10, five, he will go all the way. Touchdown Ravens. And this house is going wild right out of the gate. 87 yards touchdown. Listen to this. He gone. It'd be nice to be able to see an 87 yard touchdown run. Jerry Sandusky on the call. There are days. Oh, Jerry Sandusky and I share with the G. G. R. R. Y. That's a name changer. Yeah. We got, we got to interview Rod Woodson, and we didn't get Jerry. Yeah, we got Rod in the pregame. He probably is avoiding those, but if possible, but Rod was, Rod was he gone. I knew when I said it, Luca, who I think everybody probably thinks that in the moment. So blocked. See. Yeah. I mean, they got rappers recording albums from jail now, you know, it's possible from the pin. There's a TD Tuesday in the books. Thank you very much, Wolf Chuck. It is the G back nation here on one oh five three, the fan head off into a Tuesday evening with you. We do have one more segment to go. It'll be the fan after dark with Fred and CA. We'll cross talk with them, get you set up here for a Tuesday night coming up next to the G back nation. Thank you very much, Lucius, time to hand off the broadcast baton to the fan after dark and joining us now is a CA and Fred and a good evening gentlemen. How the heck are we? What up? What's happening, fellas? Hey, buddy. You have a good day. Hey, man. I can't complain. You know what? You guys asked the question earlier on your show. What would you ask Jerry Jones? Oh, yeah. That's a good question for Brian. And you know what? I would ask him, hey, Jerry, if your general manager equivalent at Comstock Resources went 30 years without finding natural gas or oil, would you still employ them in that same stead? Mm hmm. That's a good question. That's a pretty pointed question, I'd say. I mean, yeah, he wants glory. Oh, I mean, let's talk about it. Okay. I mean, let's, let's play, you know, let's do apples and oranges here. All right. Let's, let's, uh, let's talk about something he knows about. Okay. He has to give you an honest answer. He has to give you an honest answer. Absolutely. And it has to be in depth. Yeah. Do you think he, I mean, would he say, yeah, you're right. I think the answer is, I mean, I can make an interesting answer on his answer Fred's question like your Jerry Jones. Exactly. I can make it interesting if I'm the GM, because I put myself in such a prominent role, I can shape the team and keep us in the headlines. I think that's why Jerry does it. Yeah, because he marries the business with the football operation, and he keeps it on the NFL network and ESPN constantly because of how he keeps the circus revolving. And I think Jerry's nervous that without him, the Cowboys would become less relevant. Right. That's part of it. The other part is his hero, his idol is Al Davis. There you go. And he also must be known as a football man, because Jimmy was spreading this thing that he doesn't know anything about football. I'm the one who made all the football decisions, and Jerry's just the owner. Yeah. He always wants credibility as a football guy. Yeah. And he's his hero is out Davis. So if if Al can do it, he can do it. But I mean, his primary goal, I think is to make money, you know, and he does that quite well and keeps the Cowboys. I mean, he's proven he has the formula. It's a massive winning formula. I bet at the end of the year, they're they're toasting to the hundreds of millions of dollars they made. And I have a better question though. Sure. Jerry, would you have a fire Steven? In other words, if Steven wants to go that direction, that's a very interesting question. And he don't want it to go that direct. Yeah. I mean, he's director of player personnel. I mean, I think maybe maybe Charlotte, you know, it would be to put a different sibling in charge. But I find that to be fascinating. Like post Jerry, what's the succession plan look like? And could that get, you know, I think doesn't turn into the Raiders. Yeah, that's what you worry about. I mean, when you say that, he's out that he like, and hey, how did it go for Al Davis at the end? Bad, right? I mean, you had one eye popping out. I mean, it was bad. Well, I mean, his kid, Mark, probably is not as competent as Steven has shown. Right. You know, I think the formula that they have with Steven and Wilma Clay in the scouting department, I think should keep this program successful. You know, it's just a matter of whether they would have this all in disagreement, you know, right at the end of this season. Yeah, makes Jerry and Steven not speak to each other. And then, well, who knows? I don't know. I'm just the director. No, it's a great point. I mean, when you start thinking about like that, we need something to disrupt it. We need to get out of a status quo. So I think I'd root for that. Mav's media day yesterday, CIA, a lot of talk of championships. What was your takeaway? Yeah, that was a Luca. He was stumbling for they asked him to give him word. He's the only one that said championships, but the bottom line was, you know, they feel like they're in a good spot that they're moving forward. And I think everybody's on the same page. I like Spencer Denwitti back on the squad. As you mentioned before, he kind of fumbled his response. The best response is he grew up in LA. If it were me and I was trying to get up his mess, I would have said, this is what you do. You grew up in LA. You always grew up being a Laker fan. Well, guess what? Here was your opportunity to join the Lakers. You can say the part about, well, your mom, she forgives you. That's the matter. So yeah, we're trying our best and you put up a good shot. The Lakers like, you better be good. It's like the Cowboys. You better be good. There's a there's a mantra with the fans and the organization of we demand championships, whereas other organizations are like, we want to win a championship. Yeah, I'm just happy he's here. Me too. You know, I think Spencer Denwitti has a skill set and maybe they don't have to use him a lot. So his legs can stay fresh and you know, maybe he could be fresh for a postseason run. I think that it can help Luca's legs stay fresh. Absolutely. What's going on with the Astros and playoff baseball at home, Fred? This is just was it six playoff losses in a row down there at home. Three, one to the Tigers today, lose to the Tigers today, stranded, what base is loaded there in the ninth. You didn't know which frame where you're going to get. And of course, I watched a little bit of that game today and you know, gave up those three runs and what the second inning, I think it was. And you know, I don't know, that's just they're just a weird team right now. They really are. I mean, how they what I mean, what 88 wins, which was what the worst record of any division winner this year. And of course, as you said, all year, playing with their food. And that's why we got so mad at the Rangers because, you know, they got they kept limping along and because the division was so bad. Yeah, then huh, because the Astros and Mariners playing with the food. If they have been running away with their division, like the other division leaders, you'd have been saying, okay, we're we're sellers. And Detroit's the best team. I mean, it's Detroit, not the hottest team in baseball for the last two months anyway. I mean, we'd be surprised. It's been pretty good. Yeah, that's been good. Yeah. Yeah. Patreon will do that for you. That's insane. That's in June. We're like a 7% chance like starts a season. They were like a 2% chance to make the playoffs. So don't sleep on my Royals, either. Yeah, the no, the Royals are good with the saying. Yeah. C.A. Would you put Pete Rose in the hall? Damn, punkin here. Why you ask me that? I feel like an L.A. I feel like. I listened to his L.A. What was that? Good call back. Los Angeles. Yeah. They get paid 250k to listen to people just insult them for about an hour and a half. Great gig. But back to Pete Rose. I mean, looking at this text for five hours a day, I feel like I just really feel real. Yeah. Pete Rose, I just look at it like they gave, they offered him a chance to work a deal to get into the Hall of Fame. He just admit, wait a minute, he liked being the victim. He liked the attention he was getting. He's supposed to be in. That was as opposed to being another Hall of Famer. Well, he said in his book, though, didn't he? Like, didn't he kind of give like a half cocked apology in his book, which again, Pete being the ultimate salesman, you had to buy it to get the. Oh, yeah. You had to pay for it. I'll tell you, I'm sorry for 1999. I think that's how we got in trouble with taxes, right? Was signing all them baseballs for people and then not reporting it. It's two boxes of cash. What a character. Yeah. And in all time, great. Definitely a legend for my childhood. Thanks to Lucius Alexander in the pimp cup over there at the master control here, 75 and fits you.
