General at your service, there's brought us former Cowboy Scout and a fellow executive. Lucius Alexander is in the PIMP cup over there. Had mass to control here at 75 and fits you. He has a Rangers championship hat on. And I'm enjoying the last few days of being defending champs, maybe what, another five, six weeks here, being able to say that, reigning champions, if you will. Rangers Baseball, a back tonight, 8 o'clock pregame, 8.30, a first pitch they are in Oakland and see why it's going to join us at 4.20. It'll be our last conversation of the year, maybe last conversation till the toy drive. But we'll talk to him about how the season's gone and what he's hoping to do in the winter and all that. That's coming up at 4.20, Rangers fans. Of course, you have Wulchuck and Chia Follow, your nosebleed brothers. And you have Carter Freeman coordinating your video. And you can watch us at 1052defan.com, Twitch and YouTube. The tragic comedy, notice G-back survivor continued last night. Unbelievable, commanders, they look pretty good. They go down the field, get some big scores there in the second half, and win kind of convincingly against a Bengals team that was one of the picks to challenge the Kansas City Chiefs there in the AFC. Desperate team, they are now. Yeah. And yeah, it's just amazing that all four of us are going to be doing bet paths. This usually doesn't even have the chance of happening until late in the season when all the good teams that are obviously going to win are off the board. But I thought we were playing really good likelihoods of victory, and it's just been upset mania. So you're going to quadruple bet payoff coming up on Friday for the first time in G-back nation history. Yeah, man, this is as gut wrenching of-- I'm now-- you lose your excitement for the season now. You start to look ahead just like how many times am I just going to be taking Ls? Bengals are seven point favorite at home last night. Desperate team, as desperate as you can get against a quarterback who's never thrown a touchdown pass in the NFL. And then all he did it felt like was throw touchdowns on you or run them. And you're a touchdown favorite at home. Nine or six and a half points. Bucks, six and a half points. Brown, six and a half points. Raiders, five points. All favorites. All take the L. We might as well be flipping coins in here for the teams we're picking for a survivor. I was thinking about it today. I know. I woke up and I was like, should I just leave this up to-- What do I know? Just draw names out of a hat. I don't know. That's the team I'm taking. Yeah. I guess I wouldn't bet on Carolina. There's a handful of teams I just wouldn't. But going against them is not tried and true right now because they can wake up and beat somebody. I think Jayden Daniels is fun to watch. That's part of the good news. And then the other part of the good news is I could see Washington beating the Cowboys quite easily. I have to consider that maybe-- I don't know, maybe six wins is in play. The Cowboys? Yeah, maybe a-- I was on Dallascalboys.com today with the break. We had to do our picks. I picked the Giants. I like what you're doing there. You should pick the Giants for me as a survivor. Then I know I'll be good for Friday, at least this week. You know what? I think it's survivor. It's got to the point where I'm going to get down to week 16. And I'm going to have to-- because I'm going to have to do every one of the payoffs. I'm just going to hand you guys each $100 bill. When it's all said, I'm so tired of like-- You're beating in batter long season. I can't do this anymore here. Here's $500, just get out of my life. The attrition of the season is really taking its toll on you. Yeah, but no, I picked the Giants to win. What was your score? 26, 23. If the Giants win, I mean, that's just-- I know it sucks, but we know this season's not going anywhere. You're picking inside the top 10, maybe. You could start thinking about getting a real blue chip player, a guy that could dominate for you. Absolutely, in the top 10, you're getting the best guard, if that's what you need to do. I don't know if they would, but it looks like they got another year on the hook with Terence Steele, but a great tackle, great corner, great wide receiver. I can't believe we're talking about that. We got 14 games to go, but that's as good as you can spin it. Yeah, the running joke in Twitter world with my group is that when they lose like they lost the other day, it's when are we firing up the draft show? They lose to the Giants like you're picking them too? I'm firing up the draft show. You're going to start early. Yeah, I'll start scanning because this thing's over. You guys should send a message a Monday. You should come in and do a draft show, not even do whatever your normal content is. That's the message you should send in. Just go ahead and do that. I mean, are you kidding me? I lose to the Giants. You know what, I know we'll get into them today. Their skill's legit. Yeah, they got, you know, adding. Well, they have a secret human. It feels like a wide receiver. Do they have any of the other common factors that beat the Cowboys? I mean, what were you thinking? Well, no, I was thinking that their ability to, with Singletary, to run the ball, the quarterback runs the ball. Yeah. You know, you get a situation where last two weeks, what have you done? The opposing quarterback hasn't had to throw the ball at all. Now, what about their defense though? The Cowboys have gone up points against them over the years. Yeah, but you trust Mike McCarthy's first 15 plays to get you anything going, to go in the right direction. You might be down 14 to nothing before you get to the seventh play. Yes, you're on. I mean, I can bring up the scores of what they've done to them. Sure. Their offense doesn't work against good defenses, but against the Giants. I trust it exactly. Yeah, but the Giants. It's just the Giants. It's the Giants. The Giants have a little, legitimately though, you know, Thibodeau has gotten better. Burns is going in, you know, BB playing against that monster inside. Dexter Lawrence. Yeah, it'd be a tough. It's going to be a tough. BB's a good player. But that, I mean, I watch this guy get sack after sack as defensive tackle. They play nickel and all of a sudden he's like, Oh, wow. Look at him compress the pocket there like the center for the Browns. I mean, my gosh, that guy had no shot. So I don't know. I just Dallas. Dallas has got a lot of issues and I don't know if all of a sudden five days, everything's going to be all hunky. No, I like it. I mean, they got to go on the road. They're one of the worst teams in football. I just don't know where that is. Is that 24th? Is that 28th? You know, I mean, until until you prove to me that you can stop the run, yeah, and you could get out of your first 15 plays and drive the ball again and not be massively behind by halftime. I'm going to pick the other the opponents every single time. And the other part of it is you can't run and they know it, you know, there's no running from it. There's no hiding from it. And you can't overwhelm them in other parts of the game like you've been able to in the past. Right. So I just think they're incredibly beatable if the Giants can do it. I will not be surprised if the commanders could do it. Now, I mean, we'd get really excited about where they could end up picking at the end of this season and, you know, maybe get the kind of wholesale changes and then you hope do you think there's any way if they do turn over their coaching staff, they could get somebody more modern, you know, like could you like, I mean, get out, you have to get out of Jerry's cabinet where he likes to go, you know, consult with the crusties and get somebody that's been to a Super Bowl before and think of, you know, young coordinator. Like at Detroit, Houston, New Orleans, I mean, there's, there's a handful of them out there possibly. And we've talked about it so much, like it's a big narrative right now. It's not one of those things that like just the film guys or the analytic guys are like saying, Hey, look at how good motion works. It's out there now in a big way. I don't know. Maybe the, maybe the Jones boys would actually, you know, have, have the light bulb come on this time around. Well, if you, if, if thinks the one thing we know is they will make a change if the team quits on the coach because we've seen that happen. That's the only time. That's the only time. Now, you know, does that give them enough time to audition, bones, fossil or audition Al Harris, you know, much like they did with Garrett and then, but it also gives them the opportunity. And I'm sure Jerry will be consulting with Bill Belichick and talking to him and can Stephen and Jerry are just going to be, can Stephen and will, I keep saying this, I don't think they necessarily want Bill Belichick walking through that door, but Jerry might sure want him walking through that door. Yeah. So, yeah, some point somebody's got to get uncomfortable in there. Yeah. Yeah. I would bet on it being somebody more like Belichick, um, me too, and then a, then a young guy who kind of breaks the mold, uh, but, you know, there's chance for somebody that's been a head coach before. Yeah. I'd be, one, I'd be stunned if they lose the Giants. I'm just not, I don't see that happening. I think they're going to be just fine and maybe they went ugly and maybe they just are really bad and which could be true. They'll find a way. The Giants, I, I don't think are a very competent team either. Like I saw Daniel Jones, we saw it two years ago on the opener was running first drive. They go all the way down the field, cowboys stiffing up. They get the blocked field goal, return for a touchdown. They stop. Like the Giants are a team that just shoots themselves in the foot pretty regularly. So I think they'll be okay. But overall, yeah, I mean, I, I hear what you're saying, but Jerry's making the final say. So I don't, I would be stunned if they went somebody that doesn't already have an established head coaching resume, agreed and got a sexy name, like Ben Johnson or whatever, whatever guy you want to throw out there. Yeah. Cause what he doesn't want to, he doesn't want somebody learning on the job or whatever. You know, what you have to do is that now more than ever, you better find a way to help your quarterback. And that's the first question that they need to ask. There you go. If you're the head coach, are you the primary play caller, who's your offensive coordinator? If you're not the primary play caller, you know, what's your background on, you know, how do you feel about, you know, you had to ask them a bunch of questions about how they feel about your offense, because you're married to a wide receiver. You're married to this quarterback. You're going to be married to some offensive lineman. Better figure out some things for your offense. Yeah. I handed over to Will McClay and Dak. You go. You guys go find a head coach. I want hardworking people who are plugged in. They do that. Then you got a shot at thinking outside the box. Gary on the fan this morning asked about bringing up the running back Dalvin Cook. He said, I don't think it's time that you have any real serious roster adjustments in that particular time. I don't think so because of the short week for sure. So we'll have to keep waiting for Dalvin Cook. I'm not sure what they're waiting for exactly. But I just don't think they want to displace anybody that's in there right now. Like Rico has maybe earned the shot. He's the youngest guy, Zeke's a legend. You know, you can you can move on from Zeke, Zeke, you know, you've got you've got guys that could take over the role of Zeke, you know, you don't think he's got Jason Whitten status right now. Oh, I'm just saying me. I mean, snap counts did decrease quite a bit in this last game personally. Me personally, I would hand the ball to Hunter Lipke before I'd handed to Zeke right now. Totally, dude. I mean, I, yes, you start to talk about blitz pickups, maybe wheel routes and stuff for Deuce Vaughn, get him involved that way. You don't need to be playing. You don't need to be playing that number 15 anymore. Well, I mean, you could have, you could have made that conclusion at about halftime in the first game, but they've continued at, you know, for two games for that conclusion at training camp. Yes. Yeah. But they haven't moved on. I just, I, I think there's favoritism and you know, this is what happens when your organization as a, as a course of how they go about business doesn't put winning first. You know, weird symptoms pop up like this where all of a sudden what people want to do, because it's comfortable, because they know Zeke and they know Vaughn and they know Daddal and then think they owe it to them. If, if people are comfortable enough to do that, because the demand for winning isn't strong, who knows what else could be going on. That's just laughable right there. You know, if they're serious about getting this thing turned around and, you know, being a viable balanced offense, you just, you have to get a different runner in here. And the fact that they aren't, I think, you know, makes people stomachs turn because it's not only the fact that you don't have a running back, it's that you don't have a front office that cares enough about winning to move on from guys that they like, you know, they did the same crap with Jason Whitten and, you know, and, and you know, I, I guess we can hope Dalvin Cook's better. Right. Brian, you watched the film a couple weeks. Yeah. And I asked somebody about Dalvin Cook and I said, Hey, is he ready to go? And he said, yeah, he's, there's nothing holding him in back. So yeah, whenever they're ready for the elevation and they can sure do that, but I, I, to me, there's no question. I, I take 15 off the field is how I would do it. Cause I think everybody else can help you. Now I'm not taking people off the field. I think can help you. Yeah. Yeah. Especially when they talk about Zeke being the past protector that he is, but now we're seeing other guys can do that too. Yeah. Yeah. Dattle can do it. I mean, Hunter Lipke, when they went no huddle, what happened is they started switching Hunter Lipke and Dattle and then, you know, back and forth, three receivers on three receivers off and switch the backs up, you know, stay in blitz protect, all that stuff. Yeah. There's ways to do this. Yeah. And they showed it the other day and the end of the third quarter and then through the fourth, I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, Mike McCarthy needs to seriously think about his first 15, maybe not even, not even just going, no huddle, you know, just come out, just go, no huddle and, you know, and just try and get some kind of rhythm with his offense. Cause right now you take the ball and you throw the ball to the flat to Rico Dattle for like a one yard gain. What are we doing? You're like going, okay. Well, what kind of, you know, first in your progression, right? It's like that's the guy, that the plays drawn up to go one yard. I just, I don't quite understand that. Maybe he's, maybe he's really nervous about his offensive line. Do you believe what Favre says today says he has Parkinson's a congressional hearing about the whole deal with him taking money said he may have had hundreds, if not thousands of concussions during his career. Yep. Seems like one of those things you could be doing for a sympathy employee here at this point in your deal, especially as the investigators are circulating, but at the same time, wouldn't surprise me if he's got, you know, Parkinson's, CTE, stuff like that. I think a rather high percentage of former players believe they have something neurological wrong with them in one way. And a lot of them do, but you know, that's, that still doesn't absolve the fact that you stole from people. Yeah. I know that. Yeah. I'm sorry, man. I, I wear a Super Bowl ring because you thank you so much for everything you've done, but I thought you're a better person than that. Yeah. You know, and that's, and you're, and you know, there's a lot of evil people and bad people out there, man, a lot of people that steal from others. And that's the unfortunate that, you know, that guy was so much a part of my life. And now you kind of, you look at it and you're like, man, why are you so bad? Yeah. Why are you so bad? I mean, geez, the fact that you're asking like, is this guy maybe looking for sympathy by saying he's got Parkinson's and he maybe doesn't speaks for itself because I would be like, hell no, why would you even lie about that? But then again, when you look at what's happened over the last two years, he's lied about stuff. Yeah. He's lost all his credibility. Yeah. And the pocket of lies, like that's the last thing you have before you just have nothing left. Well, I got Parkinson's. Is he going to use that as a defense of why he did what he did? That's messed up. You know, that's, that's, that's probably the card that they're, he's trying to play right there. Make people, he was, the man was a great player and, you know, it, but, you know, to do what he did was, was completely wrong. Oklahoma is going to start Frisco Emerson's Michael Hawkins, a junior versus Auburn. So that's cool. It'll local tie in. Here's a we'll check some sports. So this from a Cowboys PR. This is the first time the Cowboys are playing a road game on three days of rest or fewer every other time they've played on a Thursday. After a Sunday, it's been at home. So every other NFL team has played at least six road games on short rest. This is going to be the Cowboys first one ever. So they're new for this. Can't feel sorry for them. They're going to have to figure this one out. But that is pretty interesting. Usually it ends up being Thanksgiving. Yeah. And then they get a full week and they play the Thursday the next week at home, but didn't get that this year. Thanks. Some owners have kind of stepped up and said, Hey, what Dallas has this advantage, you know, they're getting games during Thanksgiving and after Thanksgiving and all that stuff like that, I think the league league forever was grateful for them for doing it playing on Thanksgiving. And now it's like, Oh man, they have like a competitive advantage doing this now. And so anyway, I think some owners have stepped up and said we're not going to let you do that anymore. Yeah. The Cowboys had a, I think a wink, wink kind of handshake deal where they were going to play the Thanksgiving games and, you know, the following Thursday game and it kind of worked. But apparently the end of that is up. And I do think it's a significant deal because being the road team on a Thursday is I think massive. It has the potential to put you in an energy state where you have your biggest egg of the season. Laid. Yeah. I mean, I guess like the best thing is you're playing a divisional opponent. They usually are. You're with. They use it. That's what the NFL has done. Yeah. I mean, they're giving that common opponent. So the things don't go look all crazy, you know, when you're, but sometimes you get some pretty good matchups, but yeah, these, these Thursday night games have been a little rough for the teams that are the visitors. Probably the Cowboys go in there and they're doing to following this one. Now, we've got the power rankings that are out and ESPN did them with also the biggest issue on offense. Where do you think they put the Cowboys? They are blind. Just, well, you could, you can give me what you think their biggest issue on offense is but just overall where they rank in the power. Oh, they ranked. I'm sorry. I'm both. You go both explosive plays. I would say is the biggest issue. Oh, there you go. And they're probably 20 first what, explosive plays. No, no, no, I'm talking about just in their rankings and he thinks the biggest offensive issues is explosive plays. I think Dallas is probably 23. And I think that the explosive plays makes a lot of, well, what is the explosives on defense? Are you saying? Too many. Yeah. Are you saying the offenses? Yeah, specifically just the biggest issue on offense on offense. My bad. Running game. 25th. Yeah. Well, Todd Archer does say it's the running back by committee, but I do think the explosive plays are definitely a massive issue as well. And there's chicken and egg there a little bit. No doubt. Next gen stats is the Cowboys picking up minus 74 rushing yards over expected through three games. Third worst in the league behind the Bears and dolphins, which is pretty surprising that dolphins are listed there, but I guess they're also dealing with a ton of injuries. In addition, you've got the lack of attempts because they're getting so far behind. And that's when the Cowboys for an offense clearly wants you to believe is we're just not being able to run the football and so we don't know. I mean, this could be an awesome running game. We just haven't been able to see any of it. How much optimism do you have with the combination of Dattle and Lippke instead of Zeke and Vaughn? I guess that makes that that would give that at least you have the ability, the physicality that you get with Lippke, he can make some people miss and maybe, you know, he's one of those guys that tends to fall forward when he runs. So you could get, you know, you could probably average four, four and a half with him, maybe a little bit more. He's got a, he's got a kind of a slashing running style for a big guy, but he knows how to hit gaps and make people miss. So I would not have a problem with it. People get on him about the fumble and stuff like that and that hurt against Miami last year, but you know, he's proven to be more worthy. These games that they've lost the last two, he's actually been a plus player for you when you watch what he does and his many special teams plays as he plays for you as well. I mean, this guy's worth more than anything you have right now. It's a good player. And I mean, that's basically what he did in North Dakota State. He was the running back. I mean, so he's a guy that, that certainly can do that. Now, the Cowboys rank 16th here, they're down, they're down from 14 two spots. They're right ahead of Arizona, the Rams, and they actually had Washington at 19. I think I would definitely put the commanders over the Cowboys right now. Watching Jayden Daniels last night, I'm like, how the hell are the Cowboys going to stop him? I don't think they are. Yeah. That's going to be like an RG three type game again, like they're going to get their ass kicked by Washington. Do they play on Thanksgiving again this year? Cause this is going to haunt me. Oh, wow. Yeah, that's going to be. That's going to ruin a holiday, isn't it? Yeah. I think they do. Efforting. Yeah, I've got, I've got like the pocket schedule. How about that? Oh, the pocket schedule. I love that pocket. It looks like to me, the ad commanders on the 24th. That's a Sunday. Okay. So the Sunday before then you play and then you got them at home on the last game of the year. Okay. All right. So at least you don't have to go to Washington the last game of the season. You get them in our house this year, but that might not end up being any better. Fast turf. Late game. Late games in the season. Chances are hard. Not that I'm rooting for it, but he'll be hurt. Yeah. Okay. You've got, you've got to hit pretty good last night, didn't he? Okay. He gets hit a lot. Hey. That was the story on him. And Dan Quinn was so happy. He was cheery. He's like, that's my guy. Good job. He just needs to get that down. If he can slide, this kid's going to be special, but I just hate the team he plays for so much. I'm like, I'm not rooting for that by any means, but if you just miss the cowboy games, I wouldn't be upset about it. Just, but think about Dan Snyder and think about how cool it is for every time the commanders win or Jane Daniels does something cool. It's kind of like sticking it to Dan Snyder. Stick it to Dan. There's something there's something that's just silver lining. I'm trying to go glass half full looking. No, I like that. If this is a commander's pop up here. I like that. I mean, he's making third down throws at the sticks. He's making the ball over the top to McLaurin. It's down. He's got a chance to get off the field. Yeah. Here you go. Jane Daniels, boom. Ice in his veins. No problem. Austin Echler being on their team. Pretty good. Yeah. That's another one. The game hot. Ryan Robinson, Jr. is running the ball. Well, that offensive line. I mean, it seemed like he had all day to throw. Yeah. I don't know if that was maybe. I think it was got no pass rush. Yeah. It was a combination of Cincinnati's not very good, but the offensive line's playing better than we thought they were. That was bad. Time now for the G bag of the day. Into the pick up. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What's going on? Everything. And everybody's. Oh. Sisters. Y'all all right? Fellas. How you doing? Hello. All right. All right. All right. Copium. Copium Tuesday. Is it? Yeah. Okay. I feel you, dog. Got a joke about it, you know. I feel you. You got to do what you got to do. Yep. That's why you get paid to big bucks, dog. That's right. All right. Our winner right here for day two is quiet Leonard. Quiet Leonard. NBA basketball player with the funny laugh. He was recording some a skateboarder. Now who is it? You found out who the skateboarder was there, Dawson. Yeah. I think he's that Brazilian dude. Let me get back over here. Brazilian. Tiago or something like that. There we go. All right. Yeah. He was recording the Brazilian skateboarder and jumped over a table at a park and quiet Leonard was very excited about it. You can tell. Hey. Hey, guy. Look at him. Look good. There you go. All right. That's how you finish it. That's how you finish it. That's when the marketing person's like, okay, he's going to skateboard and he's going to jump over this picnic table to be excited about it. Yeah. But you don't want to be fake. I just like I use all of this. That guy. That self fade out there at the end is just spectacular. Jason Kelsey. Pretty sure he was about two or three beers deep. He was on Monday at all times, right? Yeah. He was on Monday night countdown with Scott van Pelt who looks kind of weird when you see it, man. Not after the games. Yeah. Yeah. What's going on with this guy? This ain't ever speckly Scott. He's cool. Yeah. I like him. Yeah. But he's strange to look at. Yeah. Hey. Hey. Hey. Ryan Clark was not feeling it. Here we go. Jason, when you start pushing them when you start pushing them and they can't stop you. That has to be the most. You did not have that feeling there. Yeah. I'm just asking. He was smiling. There's nothing more love than pushing it on another grown man and just taking it over. Yes, Scott. You are absolutely correct. So that's. Yeah. Listen. There is no greater feeling than when you're taking over the line of scrimmage and it's a lot. Yeah. That's how. Well, it's been fun watching the last couple of weeks. Yeah, guys. Oh, this might be the last one for me. Yeah. Oh, boy. He's Jamie Foxx in their Jerry Jones. That's it for me. Think I realized where I'm at now here now. Let's see. Yeah. Hall of Fame of Chris Arnold. You guys played this yesterday. It was in the pre pregame for the Dallas Cowboys here on 105 through the fan. Chris gave a pregame update on Jordan Love. Yeah. Okay. There's games kicking off right now. So let me go ahead and get the toll on some of these inactive and updates active and inactive. Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is not going to come on the field and warm up. Okay. It's good for him. It's good for everybody. It's good for everybody. Yeah. We're all winning on Sunday. I'm going to make sure you turn into the field. How about that? You put it. That's a better way. You learned from Deshawn Watson's mistake. You know, you deserve others. It is Sunday. I love when we saw C.E. last night, he came running with a full explanation. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It's smeared right here on the paper was why I was trying to show you when the penalty, they need a new printer part is in there. That's what it is. I couldn't read that right part right now. All right. Let's go to Sage Steel. Sage Steel. She had airy spears on her show. She asked one of his favorite, I guess, impersonation he can do or his best or whatever. I don't know. Here we go. What's your best impersonation? No, no, no, no. Your favorite. Anything that's new feels like a new child, but I love Tony Soprano because one it's a white guy, Italian, and nobody expects you to do that. Ask me a question. Tony. What did you do with the body? It's just a f***ing matter when I do it with the f***ing body. All the guys are going to f***ing bury it. She'll push the question for them. They don't have f***ing position. I'm going to get in a jersey. I run a f***ing underwash. I'm going to do anogenic f***ing shack. I'm going to bury it behind a f***ing matter because it goes with a f***ing shagosh. Oh my God. I'm watching your mouth when you do it. Is that the key? Yeah. Like I said, notes. Tony is ish. Talk about she's a jaddish uncle doing a jaddish f***ing shag. You got to have that metal with AJ. We got out of all of your assumios, all of your f***ing bunkers. He's got the matter got one to go f***ing grave. What? That's a different language you just spoke. That's good. Oh, wow. I really want to go watch the Sopranos now. Gosh, you've seen it. Right? Yeah, yeah. It's so damn good. Rest of peace, James Gandolf. His sister, Janice, maybe one of your sister's character in history, my gosh, Janice. He said he had a hell of a dinner that night too, right? James Gandolf. He said he had a wiper of a dinner that night swimming and that was it. Oh, really? Yeah. So don't go swimming after you. Careful, bro. You got to be careful out here, man. What do you say, Lucius? Time to vote? Sure, buddy. Is it the champ Kawhi Leonard? It's a fun guy watching skateboarders. Is it Mr. Two-Drink, minimum Jason Kelsey there with a SVP? SVP is a unique dude. You got to be to survive that ESPN firing squad every year. They come after you. They have three single years, bro. Okay. SVP. You got to stay in. Five in the game, too. He pops up at night. You're like, hey, he's still there. Yeah. I moved to Washington. I'm still here. Yeah. Hey, good for you, doll. He's definitely got some Adam Silverman's game. Is it the three-time Hall of Famer CA talking about Jordan Love not arriving to the destination or is it Sage Steel with comedian Ari Spears? They're asked about his best impersonation and that's my vote, chief. Same here, man. That was awesome. Pleasure. Oh, Kawhi Leonard. We'll check. I'll go with Tony Soprano impersonation. Brian. It is. One for Chris Arnold. BioScore of three to one to one and your new G bag of the day champion, it's comedian Ari Spears there on the Sage Steel podcast. Okay. When we come back, G bag nation, chief, where are you taking us? College football, Tuesday, dirty. What is in store? Well, we have a cleat melting conditions and of course your boomers sooner sad, stat of the day next year in the nation. Thank you, Lucius. Go to at G bag nation on X. You will get the G bag nations 2024 tour day DFW schedule, which is Saturday. We're bringing G bag nation flax to you for free. Just meet us at one of the water burger locations on the schedule. And we'll see you coming up this weekend. Here's the chief. Okay. So yesterday the boomer sooner Carter Freeman sad, stat of the day was Jackson Arnold, the starting quarterback. Now former starting quarterback for the Sooners had a 1.3 QBR before leaving the game on Saturday night in Norman versus Tennessee. And that means he gave his team a 1.3% chance to win that football game. Now they turn it over to Michael Sadie Hawkins, Jr. very excited for that kid. But today's boomer, Sumer, sad, stat of the day comes from Joe Masato and he informed the football public that Brent Venables head coach for OU has more losses at OU in 30 games coached than Lincoln Riley had in his 65 games that he was the head coach there. So Venables has already lost 11 of his 30 games. Lincoln Riley lost 10 of his 65 games that he was a head coach there. Now I liked the Carter Freeman unbiased, of course, OU spin zone, where he was like, yeah, Lincoln benefited from Bob Stoops's players. And then it started to Peter out on him a little bit. And then now Venables is having to clean up the Lincoln Riley mess. So now take that for what you will. I just thought this stat was interesting. My goodness, Venables already losing more games at OU in less than half the amount of games that Lincoln Riley was coaching there. So it's just a, it's a tough deal around that's coping him on another level. If I've ever heard it from all C free. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just finally getting it figured out here. It's taken me a while to clean up the successful guys mess that he left me. I thought it was, I thought it was really impressive. Man, it was a good play and the transfer portal with him. Come on. Yeah. There's a transfer portal. If you're a coach that's got something to you, you get in there and you bring guys and you start winning pretty dang quick. Yeah. I don't know. I, I think at this point in college football, at least the way it's structured now, if you haven't won in two seasons, you're not going to win enough. It's time to move on. Well, give, give Carter a break here, man. He just, he just got a beat down his quarterbacks now getting benched. He's got Kirk Herb Street calling his players pathetic for doing unethical fake injury stuff in the middle of the game to help slow things down a little bit defensively. And then you also have Texas as the number one team in the country and right now projected to beat Bama in the natty according to ESPN's latest bowl projections. So it's, it's just a tough day to be a car in tough spot. Yeah. I mean, nobody wants to be a fan in denial about your program. You know, maybe have seen its best days behind you, you know, and you're now you're looking for a new catalyst. You know, you don't want to go the way of USC post Pete Carroll. That's what it's starting to look like. Well, I think the funniest thing from college football was the fact that Louisiana men row being down 48 with two minutes ago was doing flea flickers and of course, throwing interceptions when doing it, but that, that is, that is just bravo to Louisiana men row pulling out all the stops. Hey, you work on them all week at practice. You might as well throw them in there, you know, just, you know, that way, the following week, Louisiana tech's got to work on them. You know, anybody, anybody they play, now we got to work on tape, baby, put it on tape. That was great. We also have a couple other, I saw this from Cole Kublick. Would you guys guess this here? College football has one program to not have allowed a touchdown this season. One program has not even given up a touchdown. Appalachian State, it's actually even one program. Oh, yeah, it's, it's, it's Georgia. Wow. Yeah, Georgia hasn't given up a touchdown yet because yeah, they can tuck you kick all field goals. That's 12. Yeah. Yeah. That is unbelievable. Pretty impressive. Uh, not that their schedule's been anything super, super nuts at this time, a little crazy this weekend. Yeah. That's real crazy. Texas coming up. Yeah. I'm excited about this one, man. And then how about, uh, Garrett Nussmeyer, your guy over there. I listen to you 113 completions the most through four games in LSU football history. Yep. So he's, he's played around a little bit. He's played Marcus. He has played well. Dude, did you guys see that it was 160 degrees on the turf there? At Boone Pickens on Saturday. It looked hot. I'm like, I mean, Gundy, I thought it was going to melt. Yeah. How did these guys feel? Were all black. I didn't see her. Does he wear an all black outfit where he was melting? He I've heard like 125 on the turf, 160 160 up there. How's that even happened? I think that the real temp at kickoff was 104 degrees, but the smear Chris go on it. Like that shouldn't be, these guys are literally baking on the field. That turf should be banned. If it's 104 and the turf goes to 160, what's going on with your turf over there? That's like, isn't that going to give you burns when you slide? Put your hand down. I'll tell you that. Yeah. I think you're the souls of your feet. I feel like. Absolutely. Yeah. That pickle juice game against the Eagles was the hottest I ever remember in Texas stadium. That thing. It was, I don't know if it was 160 it, but it might have been close. It might have been close. That's crazy. How hot that day was. Well, I'll tell you what else was crazy over the college football weekend was USC taking that L with Michigan there and Michigan just running the ball the whole time. Michigan, Michigan, where they have, how many 30 yards passing or something like that? It was 22 net yards passing on the day, and it was just a bunch, a bunch of Donovan Edwards and Mullings. I mean, they got, they got some, some runners and they just, yeah, orgy was definitely getting it done on the ground. That's, that's, that's his nature, you know, ground and pound. So that's what, that's what they did at the big house USC that, that stings dude. That's, I mean, when a team's beating you, that's like what the Packers are doing with Malik Willis right now. It's like, we're really not trying to throw on you too much, especially that first game with Malik Willis. We kind of have a hand tied behind our back here. He knows it, but we're just going to run on you to victory. And that's tough, man. And you see it in college football, I mean, the hurricanes and they're playing some, some, some good ball right now. They haven't really played anybody. They won't play anybody, but Cam Ward seems to be the real deal and he has, oh, yeah. Well, I mean, this is one of those, this is kind of like a Jaden Daniels, like five years. Yeah. And transfer and played well, he's played really well for them. And he's literally doing the thing where he's pointing. Who else was it that we, we, this was like a Larry Bird thing where he would tell you what was going to happen and what he was going to do to you before he actually did it. Okay. I'm going to, I'm going to spin left and I'm going to get the bucket on you. Cam Ward is doing that. We're at the snap. He's at the line of scrimmage. And he's pointing to the defense where they're running the ball touchdown. That's the, that's the type of cocky confidence that the hurricanes have. We got to remember though, if you was in back, if it wasn't before, it certainly is. Now, if you're doing that type of, I mean, confidence, confidence right there to the really back in the top 10, that's, that's wonderful. His coach will give away a game, you know, yeah, Mario Christopher, can also, he will, he will have probably two games. He will supposed to kneel the ball and he'll try and run it or something, something crazy. They're scheduled. Not a more fun sideline and sport when Miami's got it going on. Oh yeah. I love it. It's good for coach football. Yes. Definitely. And they'll be, I mean, the ACC is down. Miami's got a super easy schedule. They're flashy. It'll be, it'll be fun to see how they, how they get going here as with the playoff stuff. They're definitely performing well right now. I think Tennessee's been really awesome. What do you guys, you guys have any early feelings with Tampa and Georgia this weekend? Or what do you want to say about Tennessee? I'll say this about Tennessee. I, I feel like that there, you know, people, I think they're what up in bound five or six now with the, in the latest polls, I, that would be a team I think is going to compete for the national championship. I think they got the right, I think they got the right mix, the quarterback, the young quarterback, the way they run the ball, the defense that that team looks like they've got the right demeanor to win this thing. I'm with you. They, it seems like they've, they've developed a bit of a counter punch as it pertains to the more physicality. They're coaches. Kind of a, no, like he, he doesn't have time for your feelings guy. He's, you know, he's, he's pretty, you know, he's, you know, he's like, Hey, I appreciate the kids playing hard. You know, they knew this was important to me, but you know, he didn't have time for your feelings. He's, he's just, he's, he's developed a pretty, pretty stout program there with those kids. They could play fast. They could beat you up. Yeah. They could play really well on defense trenches are real and that quarterback is real, dude. He made some throws. You're like, wow. Yeah. He's all that he was cracked up to be a bleep hole of the week we give it to once again in college football. You freeze his Auburn Tigers lose once again, this time at home by 10 Arkansas. The quote from Hugh Freeze here is I mean, no offense to Arkansas. That's how he starts boys. Oh, I love Sam Pittman. He wants to get that out of the way first. No disrespect. That was embarrassing. It's the Gavin Dawson of coaches. How the hell do we lose to that team? He says, I hope he wins the rest of his games. Yeah. But the hard truth is if we play them nine more times, we beat them nine times. Oh, I like it. I have no credit for the win after losing by 10 at home. That's Hugh Freeze for you, ladies and gentlemen. I love it. Thank you, chief. Yes, sir. Cool. Chuck's NFL news today is coming up next Zachary. What's in store? See why at four 20, Mark Schlerith talking NFL at four 40 in the Eric Kendrick show here on the fan coming up at five o'clock in the nation in between now and then a lot of sports, a lot of sports coming to you, including Zach whole Chuck's NFL news today. And here's we'll check. Yeah, we'll get to all the Monday night football games here in just a moment. A lot of history was made, but some updates on this giant's Cowboys Thursday night match up Dan Duggan, who I believe is going to be on with a KMC tomorrow, said it's not looking good for cornerback through Phillips or cornerback, Dory Jackson, both with calf injuries for the giants for Thursday. Coach Day ball said he doesn't think either will go on IR. He hopes cornerback Nick McLeod who has missed the past two games with a knee injury can return. So maybe that would be a boost for them. But two corners looking like they're probably not going to be able to go for the Giants on Thursday night. It could be a big loss. If they get McLeod back that will help because they don't want to play flock. He's the one that's the liability there. Banks is pretty good. flock plays opposite the last couple of games they've had to play with him and it hasn't worked out particularly well. Phillips is their nickel that Kentucky kid, right? Right. Right. But moves pretty well. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, they, they, they really, they've struggled in the secondary and, but their pass rush is good and their insight and their inside. They also bring blitzes too. I know we'll get into that tomorrow. I think we got the Giants defense tomorrow defense or offense today at 340. Right. So, but yeah, that would be a, if they get, if they get, they're, if they get McLeod back, that would clearly help him because he was their starter. Well, Malik neighbors in Trayvon Diggs, if you remember the off season, they were kind of going back and forth via social media. So now they're getting to play each other for the first time. And Malik neighbors was asked about it at his locker today. He said it is what it is. I don't really want to talk about it now. It's game time. So this is probably the match up to circle digs versus neighbors. He has been the offense. He's carrying everything on his shoulders for them and this is a big test for Trayvon Diggs. Dude, this is a no brainer. You got a, this is your matchup. This is your, your, you're the shadow guy. Yeah. You're traveling. Right? Well, you're the big money corner. You got a rookie on the other side. You don't mind on the other side. This is where Diggs needs to say, yeah, give me, give me the assignment. Absolutely. But this is where it also gets into a little bit of some, maybe some problems for you. If you travel digs that you do have a rookie on the other side when he travels, that changes the rookie's assignments. So every time, every time that say neighbors starts on the left side motions to the right side and you travel, that makes everybody in the secondary's assignments different because of the travel. So that's, that's a ball logic there. That's why a lot of his, that is a lot of, I don't like to hear this logic, but it is a logic. But it makes, it's just, it's just for a rookie player that you think about, he doesn't have a lot of experience. Now I'm not saying you can't, that teams don't travel. I don't know, like I say, the kids, a smart kid, but you're, what kind of extra pressure might you put on him? I mean, you're thinking about, you know, this guy is going to move around. He's not going to stay in one spot. Yeah. And so it's a lot of on the fly adjusting minute. He crosses the center of the defense. Now everybody in the secondary's assignments change. And so that's where you run into a little problems that way. Yeah. I mean, maybe if you had Gilmore over there, the veteran guy, you're all right. You know, you're, you're going to have to travel and blend, healthy, would be fine. Yeah. Well, healthy blend, you would probably play it straight up. Yeah. Yeah, you wouldn't mind. You wouldn't need to be fine either way. Yeah, you would be. All right. Now big loss for the Saints, their center, Eric McCoy, who left their loss against the Eagles. He's one of their best offensive linemen they have. No question. Texas A&M zone groin injury. He's expected to require surgery. He's going to miss six to eight weeks. That is a huge loss for the Saints. Yeah. That's big time. Well, I think that because he went out pretty early in that game, did the first quarter. And so that, I mean, that was, I think that was a huge difference in the game. They run. And Jalen Carter had the, had probably the game of his career. They run the ball really, really well because of him. You know, that's one of the things. I mean, we saw them the way they dominate, but he's the one reason he gets up on your second level guys and, and, and causes problems. Man Jane Daniels was brilliant last night. I don't know that we really need this double header Monday night football deal. I mean, like if both games end up being awesome, then maybe I'd think differently the, I mean, the second game was good, like St. Bangles in Washington was fun, but the first game was an absolute blow out. Watch out on the bills look absolutely incredible. Get to them in a second. I don't like how it's happening at the same time. I don't either. Yeah. I mean, I do have multiple TVs, but I just give me back to back or something like that. Yeah. I am. I'm not necessarily. Yeah. Is there a reason? I am sorry I'm late to the party here. Is there a reason why the league did this? This is because of the 17 game schedule. Is this they couldn't get everybody on prime time or something? I don't know. Why, why would they have? Dang it. They just, I'm really not sure. Or they just trying to give, they just trying to give sponsors more money or more opportunity. Well, usually this is something they do in week one. Yes. It is usually something they do in week one. Now last year they did it. If you remember it was Tommy DeVito and the Giants was it against the dolphins or it was like dolphins, Packers was going on or Titans Packers and then it was no, no, Titans, dolphins, Packers, Giants. That's what it was. Got the four teams messed up the order, but so they're doing this multiple weeks this year too. So while it's the result of an 11 year media rights agreement, the NFL finalized in March. So there you go. Trying to get everybody happy with the game. So it's, it's trying to get an Amazon in on it. It's creating a little bit of value for them. And so ESPN and ABC go ahead and get their cut as well. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. So they're just trying to make everybody happy that they've got deals with. But Jayden Daniels, 21 of 23 for 254 yards is what he finished with. Yet a 91.3 completion percentage that sets an NFL rookie record previously held by Dak Prescott. They're just going to run it for two games. No, they have not. And let's get to the, you haven't punted in two games. So we played, you know, let's get to the, haven't punted in two games last week. Cam Taylor, Brit, the cornerback. Yes. Yeah. He said college offense. Hey, he did call them. He called them out on the college offense. Now two weeks ago, talk to trash and said, exave, you're worthy. Hey, you basically can run straight and he had the pick of the season and they get the, they almost got the win. They played well. Nobody said anything, right? Well, this week says they got a college offense. He's asked post game, you regret saying these things. Do you regret what you said and can you talk us through what happened from a defensive standpoint tonight? No, ma'am. I do not regret it. And I didn't mean anything malicious out of the comment, it was just made bigger than what it was. Um, yes. I can eat my word. No, definitely. We did take a hill today. It has a team. Um, it was sort of caught us off a very quick, uh, quick throws, uh, very athletic and same place. Um, and that's how the game went. Man, they started their, their plan and yeah, because I went. So here comes the coach, Zach Taylor, uh, I didn't hear anything from Zach Taylor two weeks ago. Sure. He did this. But last night, he wasn't happy. Did you have an issue with that? Do you like those? Yeah. That's, that's not what we do. That's not what we do. We, we praise our own team. Um, praise the other team. We don't need to take shots like that. That team hasn't, hasn't punted in two weeks. They've scored on every single possession the last two weeks. Um, so I've got a tremendous amount of respect for, for what they're doing over there. I've known Cliff a long time. Um, I knew paired with that quarterback. This was going to be a very dangerous offense to play against and they've proven that so. And it is, uh, they have scored on every drive and back-to-back games, excluding a kneel down. They had eight drives Monday, five touchdowns, a field goal and two ending in kneel downs at the end of each half in a week, two against the giants. They had seven field goals and a kneel down to end the half. So basically a hundred percent scoring rate, which is extremely rare. There has been 10 games since 2000 where a team scored on every drive, excluding kneel downs. That's over a one in 1300 chance. The commanders did this twice in a row now, making this a one in 1.7 million feet, according to CBS sports. Wow. How crazy is this? What they, what they've done two weeks in a row now. That is crazy. That is crazy. And then the bangles on the other side of bad history. So they ended a streak of 126 games where the team in which from 1920, the bangles came along to end this streak. They scored 31 points. The bangles. Uh, okay. Hold on. I got to find this. This is not. They didn't punt. Right. Did they? This before them were undefeated, 126 and L. They are now the only loss in that to have 31 points or more zero puns, zero turnovers, bad, bad, oh, and they were even close. They didn't even have a stolen thing. They didn't get a stop. I mean, their defense was just getting shredded the entire game. Jane Daniels was absolutely unbelievable. Cliff was in his bag and look, hey, three weeks, maybe the NFL figures amount, but last night it looked scary and I was saying it from cowboy lenses like, how the hell are they going to stop this? If the kid drops back and it's all covered and he takes off running, and Dawson's right. The only way you kind of stop him if he gets banged up, you know, that, because he, he, I watched him do it for two years at LSU. He carried that team last year. He did. LSU. You know, that was, that team was awful on defense and what did he do? Drop back, found receivers, found neighbors, you know, made plays that way. But when it broke down, his ability to run is just as good as the guy you played last week in Baltimore. I mean, I think Zach Hertz was something last night that was interesting, you know, but their offense is simple. You know, did the play that we call work? Is it easy for you with zero risk? Throw it. If not, go take six to eight yards. I mean, he's just, it's, it's different, you know, when, when you have just a little bit of stability in front of him with an offensive line, good enough weapons and somehow the defense is recovered in Washington. Well, it, maybe, maybe you say you look at what maybe Dan's done. They had a lot of draft picks. You know, they, they gave away. I mean, that team was a shell of itself on defense last year. He gave up their edges. Yeah. They kept the defensive tackles and just winter hadn't, Bobby Wagner, Dorence Armstrong. Yeah. They just, they, they built it through signing guys, uh, it guys off the street and stuff. So our free agents, I shouldn't say off the street. They were free agents, you know, opportunity more bad news for the bangles. They're offensive tackle Trent Brown. He's out for the season. Yeah. I feel like the bangles are just this team where they're, they're trying man to figure out this offensive line and it's just not working for me. They tried it with, uh, wow, Collins didn't end up working out. They bring in Trent Brown. They give him a big money deal. Now he's hurt. Uh, they did it with the chief's former tackle as well who went over there and ended up not playing well for them. So it's just one of the, and Mims didn't look good. Their first round pick played right tackle if he was getting beat pretty bad, uh, John Baptist got him for a big time sack in that game. So we'll see what happens with the bangles moving forward. I mean, I'm still a believer in Joe burrow, but he did miss some throws last night. Overall stat line was good for him, but there were some plays he probably wants back seems like Jamart Chase is starting to find a rhythm, but defensively they're in a world of problems and at O and three, we know teams ever won the Super Bowl when you start O and three. So those dreams probably dad you would assume, but haven't they like having the bangles made the Super Bowl after an O and three star O and two, O and two star, O and two start. So burrow started O and two, four out of his five years, but he always won in week three, which is why I told Eric yesterday, I'm like, I think you're good. Yeah. Nope. Didn't happen with Washington. No, definitely. When, when Cincinnati was really good, their defense was sneaky good. Right. Didn't get a lot of credit. Now it's just kind of been picked apart. Yeah. They would force some turnovers and it's weird because they played well against Kansas City the week before. Yeah. And then they just could not get a stop to save their life. They, they've, they've got Kansas City kind of figured out how they do them. Yeah. And nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo bills, like the Buffalo bills. Wow. They just destroyed, absolutely destroyed like I dug Peter's, you might be in some trouble. Yes. On a seat in the NFL. He's done ski. He's, he's got to be hotter than this one. Yeah. Trevor Lawrence is, uh, when what are you thinking about Trevor Lawrence right now here? The front office knows that we didn't give you much, you know, and he's going to be fired at the end of the year. All right. His contract's up. We're just going to let him sit. That's right. His office for a week. And then that's right. And then we ask you to leave. I got some quotes and football's finest from the, the owner of the Jags. Okay. He's, he's hilarious. Con. Yeah. Great mustache. That guy. Really good. Yeah. But I saw the bills, uh, they ended up benching Keon Coleman who did catch his first career touchdown. He's late to meetings. Yeah. Sean McDermott. Accountability here. Right. Accountability is a word that's come up a lot with the Cowboys all three games. Kinda. Coughlin would have probably released them. Just cut him straight up. Yeah. Five minutes early. Uh, so that's true. That's true. Set out to the game where we sat Keon for the first quarter. It'll be a learning opportunity for him and really it was an issue that dealt with him being on time and he knows that he's got to be accountable to his teammates. We addressed it. We support him and we move forward, got a 24 yard touchdown on the first possession that he was back in in the second quarter. They're looking fantastic. Josh Allen's the MVP favorite right now and did he take a shot at Stefan digs after the game? He said, quote, it's a fun and wonderful thing. And you got a bunch of guys that don't care about the stats. They don't care about the touchdowns. Mm. Oh, yeah. Not so subtle at all, Stefan. Not subtle. So maybe Josh Allen feeling a little bit relieved, playing a little free. Well, he's he's playing out of this world football, not superhuman football, what he's doing. I think Joe Brady might be a guy you need to look at as one of these coach dudes. Maybe. Yeah. Cause he's he's helped things five years ago. Yeah. Well, you know, he won a national championship at LSU. He was one. He was the guy calling the plays. Yes. But then he went to Carolina, right? And he was just terrible. It was like there. Yeah. With Matt rule, right. Yeah. It was a disaster. But he's he's bringing him back. I mean, now that they're, they're nine in one since he started taking over the play calling. Wow. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Josh Allen looks really, really awesome. And I mean, I see. They overturned a lot this off season. Yeah. A lot of questions with that thing. So everybody was expecting this to be a down year in Buffalo for sure. But I mean, Josh Allen is it's like, give me, just give me whatever at the skill positions and I'll make it work. He is, he is outside of my homes. He's the next guy and their offense, they're going 80% motion. So they're fourth in the sport, then it's the Niners, dolphins, Packers number one. So I mean, those are offensive, those are offenses you want to be like, dude. And I can't, for the life of me, understand why the Cowboys aren't doing it. It's been that way for the last, how many years, like handful of years, or who the best offenses are they using motion? Yes, they are. I don't understand why you would just ignore that in your offense, but hey, that's what we deal with. We don't still plays around here. Okay. We're not place dealing. Bill's using 20% more motion to this point than they did last year. Wow. Last thing here NFL news of the day, Dan Campbell, we had the story last week here. It gave it to us where he was putting his house out for sale. It was home address was publicly leaked on social media was one of his daughter's classmates. Got ticked off, watching the NFC championship game, posted on snapchat, dumb bleep, trying to go for it and then put his. No way. Yeah. So that's still trending, right? Yeah, probably. Absolutely. So so now you got people that were just showing up to his house. Daughter was at the house. Boyfriend goes outside, ends up getting in his vehicles, flashing headlights and anyone who was approaching the house and that caused them to like get scared and leave like, oh, my gosh, something's going to happen here. So eventually there was the authorities got involved. They found the kid, but yeah, I mean, that's the bummer of, I guess, hey, people in your school, they know where you live. Gosh, dude. Thank you all Chuck. Thank you. Match ups to watch in week four against the Giants. We have the Cowboys news coming up next right here, the G back nation on your home of the Cowboys home of the Rangers 105 three, the fan. Good chat. Welcome back. G back nation segment is brought to you by the Frankles life's unpredictable accident tapping. If you were a loved one is hurt in an accident due to somebody's negligence, call the Frankles for a free consultation two one four or eight one seven three, three, three, 33, 33, 33 jump online to Frankle firm.com Jerry Jones was on the fan this morning on fans believing he is the biggest issue with the franchise right now. He says that's very fair. How could you think otherwise? And I accept that completely said he's there in a little bit of a soft spot almost talked about, you know, rostering as it's a cyclical. And right now they're in a, in a down cycle and then they need to get it remedied also had similar comments about the roster as what he shared after Sunday's game here saying, quote, I like where we are at all positions. So don't expect anything different, not in the medium term from Jerry Jones in the way this front office is constructed and don't expect any big changes with the roster. And that does include not even Dalvin Cook here coming up for this week's game against the Giants quite yet. Yeah. I mean, I just think it's too early for them to really admit big time mistakes in places, even benching Zeke or making him inactive for Dalvin Cook is acknowledging what we've talked about all off season as it pertains to Zeke and they're like, no, no, no, we like no, he was, I mean, he's comparing him with Steven A Smith. He's comparing him to Jim Brown. And so after three weeks to be like, yeah, we're going to go for another guy who everybody knows is washed up. You know, they're just not going to make that move yet everything. It's so early right now, but at some point he'll have to. Yeah. I mean, see they're Dalvin Cook getting any good or he's not ready or ready or they're too stubborn. Yeah, the ready part of it. I did check on that and there's, there's no setbacks or anything for him right now. If you're talking about conditioning and things like that, I just reached out and said, hey, and they're like, no, we're just, just kind of waiting to see what happens. Um, I kind of feel like though that if we, okay, this is going to sound funny the way I'm going to say it. But if you knew that you can't run the ball and you're all going to say, damn broad as we know we can't run the ball, but I'm just saying until they look at it and say, hey, we've had plenty of opportunities to run the ball and we've shown we can't run the ball. I don't think they're going to do anything until, for Dalvin Cook, until they get to that point. I think right now they're like, hey, we just haven't had the opportunity to run the ball. I know that everybody out there's going, yeah, broad as they can't, you know, look at it. They can't run. They can't run. And I, I'm telling you, I believe this is how they're thinking about it, you know, until they prove they absolutely can't run the ball. I do not see a Dalvin Cook, uh, elevation here. I would like to believe that, hey, we started with a plan with Zeke that didn't work. Now we're on to Dowdle and, and Lib key, and if that doesn't work, then we go Dalvin Cook. And if that doesn't work, we'll still have a week or two before the trade deadline. See, that's, you know, and, but let me ask you, let me start to talk about this team like though. It's so bad that they're, they're not going to have a chance at making the playoffs. If you, if let's say this, if you get to two and five by the by, do you think that they're going to make any trades? I wouldn't think so. No. Let's take our medicine and get the best pick possible. It's not worth saving. I don't, I don't mean to be like, you know, wet blankie guy there, but no, it's a, it's a privilege. If, if all of a sudden you look at the division in Philadelphia and, and say the commanders are both, you know, the, the commanders are four and three and Philadelphia is five and two and you're two and five, do you, do you go out, you think you still have a chance to win? I guess if you feel like you're pretty clearly out of the race, like those two teams are sitting there with like still a loss, you know, and they're multiple games ahead of you. And saying there's six and one. Yeah, no. And then I think that it's not worth making that move, but we saw them do this the year they traded for a Mari Cooper. They were three and four. Yeah. They trade for a Mari leading into a Monday night against Tennessee. I tried to make it more severe. I tried to make it more two and five ish. Right. Well, then they ended up being three and five because they lost that first game to Marcus Mario with a Mari. Sure. And then they ended up going on a crazy run to go 10 and six. They won, they beat the Seahawks and the playoffs and lose to the Rams. So I mean, they might look at that and say, Hey, you know, maybe we, if there's a player to be made, maybe it's a Mari Cooper again. Yeah. You're going to need something to come around though, like your defense is going to have to start playing. So you're like, you know what? Maybe we are a playmaker away offensively because we've gotten our defense figured out. But if your defense is going to be literally worst in the league, which it's been the last two weeks, well, as defensive success rate and all of football last two weeks, it's your defense absolutely terrible and your offense ain't much better. So unless something changes there where you feel like, okay, we can justify one player really could help swing things. But right now you're so much more than a player at any position, no way. And it's definitely not going to be a running back because it's listening to Jerry today when he cut off Bobby, when Bobby was asking about Derek Henry and how you said you couldn't pay for Derek Henry and he said, you're right. Stop right there. We couldn't afford Derek Henry, but then he basically went on to say which was the truth. They didn't want to allocate more money at that position. And that's really all I needed to hear. Just be honest with it. I think Michael Geltkin wrote about that at the start of the off season, like they're going budget it running back. That's fine. Yeah, that that makes sense. I just don't think you can go budget it running back and also not spend any draft picks to try to bring in somebody with some juice. But if you're holding off on drafting a guy until you're ready to contend and then you're like, okay, we're ready content. Let's let's start the odometer on the running back right now in this season. I think that would be a good long term strategy if that's if that's what they're thinking would be the only thing that really makes sense as to why they would punt on bringing somebody in because I think they're they could have a balanced offense and like not having a balanced offense because you don't have talent at running back. I think is is making things significantly worse than they have to be. It's amazing how quickly things can turn in this league though. It reminds me of 2010 when they had just made the playoffs and thought, wow, you know, that could have been our year. I think they had back-to-back wins against Philadelphia that year to end the season and the next year or the next round to start the playoffs, they beat him again and then they maybe lost to the Giants or the Vikings that year. But whatever the case, 2010, there one in seven all of a sudden from playoff team to horrible, has it happened again? You know, that time around it was Wade Phillips, lame.coach, maybe, you know, now it's Mike McCarthy. They quit on him. Yeah. That was it. That game in that game in Green Bay went, when they were five and three the second half of the season, which showed there was some ability in there. Sure, sure did. You know, they made the right decision to cap away to Phillips and it maybe it started to some momentum. How about this? About the Jamie Foxx video, Jerry said he's a great friend. We have a lot of experience watching players talking about players, talking about games. It's kind of ironic that I think when that was supposed to have happened a few years back, but I don't recall it probably wasn't wasn't that out of the ordinary for Jerry to be talking about those campaigns. Yeah. Yeah. I can believe him that he has no recollection. I mean, geez, that could have been five years ago. I mean, it's not like we were even talking about it was last year. This is probably, yeah, this is probably a while back. Yeah. So. And even if you did remember it, it's one of those things where you're just like, I don't remember. Don't want to remember. Yeah. That's for sure. Information is there. I just don't recall. That's the old Ronnie. I could honestly say I'm all my years of scouting. I've never been in a room that's talked about that. Really? Yeah. Never been in a room. Really? Seriously. This was a room situation. I'm not just saying, Jerry, I'm just saying, and I was in a room with Jerry for six years. So that, that, but I've never been in, I was in scouting. I guess he just didn't trust you enough. Probably not. Bro, he's like an old snitch. I'm just like a liberal. Yeah. I saw the way he started whispering around with the, with the tuna put his thing in his face. Yeah. Could it accidentally have been something else he was talking about? I've seen somebody try. I don't know. Joe's some bail and saying it. Well, he's probably talking about a dig around. I just. I don't know. I don't know. But I'm just saying, I've, I've been in a war room for like meetings for 13 years and I don't ever, there's things you've talked about, but not that. Yeah. I don't ever remember anybody ever talking about that. I've been in a lot of meetings. He only said that for his VIP guests. I really don't know how to talk them. We've had, I've been in that tower before too, and I don't think we've talked about that. That's reserved for Chris Christie. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I, I thought it was hilarious. Chris is a nice guy. Yeah, I'm sure. You know, I'm just saying this because like I was watching film one day and he walked by and he, I was standing, I was just sitting there watching film and he stopped and he came back and he's like, Brian brought us. How you doing? And I'm like, I'm governor doing grill. Thank you. I just love your work. Thank you so much. Oh, watches your content. Yeah. He goes to watch your content. You do a great job. And I'm like, tremendous. I'm good. Well, thank you, sir. He just will carry on. Carry on. You know, but no, that's, you said Chris Christie. It made me think of him real quick. Yesterday, Dawson lobbed out the, the Felix Jones nominee. Yeah, I was trying to guess of who the player could be. You know, what was it? It was a five, 10, 210 pound running back. He's still on his mind. How could this be? What a hell of a guy. I mean, it's obvious the guy had been a cowboy, right? I don't think you'd have that level of awareness on a college prospect that you were considering draft, but he was a razorback, you know, so he's, he probably has been scouting him out for a while. He's in the locker room is a mate. People were tweeting and be like, Hey, bro, some people really talk. I'm like, I didn't even answer. I didn't even know how to answer. I'm like, no, no, no, the text for the post game show too. Yeah. Yeah. About like, about big Felix. He was a couple of people who were like, brought us, uh, we, we heard that you're in the know on this. Who is it? Who are they talking about? Could be Joe random. I'm serious. There's a lot. I'm always honest. I'm going to talk about draft stuff. Never ever. Let's just feel like sure. Pretty close. Yeah. It's good to hear that you don't, they don't talk like that for real. You hear that you've never heard. For my experience. For my experience. A little bit. I'm not trying to, and I'm not trying to protect anybody here because I told you the story about Parcels taking all those clothes off of her. I mean, that was traumatic, but, but I, that was what I, I don't ever remember. There's a lot of things you talk about in, in room, but I don't ever, ever remember that being one of them. It's that locker room talk from the 2016 election cycle. I thought I was talking about the ladies. I didn't realize that locker room talk could, you know, come, you know, right back, uh, you know, in a different category. But apparently it does. Well, you know, white people. And we're just yucking it up much, much more progressive. Been a lot of, a lot of crank talk this week between this one and the, uh, and the puffed daddy story. That's just so violent. The way you said that enough. Did you guys, did you guys see Leonardo DiCaprio distancing, distancing himself from Diddy here? He says, uh, isn't everybody the all white, white party photos? He says they were not freak offs. Yeah. DiCaprio would like you to know they were not freak offs. Now a freak offs later, the white party is a start in the freak offs later. You get to leave if you want to, because I don't believe Martha Stewart stayed around for the freak off. Yeah. Yeah. That would be a surprise. That'd be wild. I think she might have. He wants to stay for the freak offs. Yeah. He's really getting loosing. I got Martha being a little handy. He mom, she had orange slices for everybody afterwards. It's free science. Everything was all nice and laid out. He had little crafts next to it. Yeah. Yeah. And cold rags for their next. Last time you need to pick me up. The thing with Kat Williams, he just, this is him, right? This is what Kat does. I mean, he comes. Kat's kind of called out all of them. Well, Kat said, yeah. Kat said it a long time ago. A lot of people have been saying it. It's been like under there. But he says he's got videos of people. I don't think he said that. He better not say that. Yeah. He better not say that. I do like the theory. FBI will call knocking on Kat Williams door if he says I got video evidence of anything. I think he's saying puffy has video evidence of a lot of things because there were hidden cameras in those darn rooms. Yeah. So they're saying there's like athletes, entertainers, politicians, all these people that could be possibly on film at Diddy's house during the free calls. How to stuck around just for those Martha Stewart, chocolate chip cookies, man. Fresh baked. Walk around. Shiny as hell with all that, baby. All along. Get a couple more. Shiny cookies, Martha. I am deep in that rabbit hole in my algorithm, though, like every other video is like another dude talking about something. It's a lot. Okay. We got a crusty's corner coming up. Brought you by Reliant air conditioning gimmick free AC repair and replacement Brian. What's in store? Yeah. Let's talk about this giant's offense. It looks a lot different. We'll do that next. Thank you, Lucius. Crusty's corner brought you by Reliant air conditioning gimmick free AC repair and replacement. Here he is. Brian. Thank you very much. Journal and thank you very much to Reliant as well for being a part of this. Yeah. A tease I said, this is a different looking giants offense and they're doing everything in their power to try and help their quarterback with the way that they're running the football and then the skill players that they have. I think everybody in the league is kind of taking notice of what Malik neighbors is. What he was able to accomplish, not only at LSU, but then here in the National Football League, when you look at the number of targets, the routes he runs, all these things are top of the league. When you start to talk about just not only receiver rookie, but just receivers with the way that he's playing and the thing that makes him so unique is his ability to play at all levels. You could throw the ball to him quick. You could throw the ball to him intermediate on cross and stuff and then you could go down the field with this guy and Daniel Jones sometimes isn't very accurate. Sometimes sometimes this guy makes Daniel Jones accurate with the way that he goes and gets the football. Bad ball catcher. Yeah. He's a bad ball catcher for sure. And so he's the guy that you're definitely going to have to worry about. I checked with some folks before Trustee's Corner asking about the availability of Carson. Carson is legitimately a game time decision. So we'll see how Dallas plays that with having to deal with neighbors. But they're also going to have to deal I think with one Dale Robinson. And what they do with one Dale Robinson is as a wide receiver, he tends to line up in the backfield. He'll play in the slot, he'll play out wide. They'll throw him the ball on screens. So now they've got a guy with like neighbors that can kind of work in all levels. They've got a guy like one Dale Robinson who can catch the ball very well. But he does it from different platforms, you know, like you could put him in the backfield like I said and throw the ball to him on the screen or throw him on a swing. And he's going to make things happen. He's a very good catcher of the football. He's very comfortable on third down when you throw it to him, making plays. So you'll have to deal with that. The third receiver, I'd kind of be a little bit concerned about is Jalen Hyatt, the from Tennessee, the second year player from Tennessee, because he is a vertical player. And he's the guy that can run right by you. And we saw what happened with Saints, you know, with their Shaheed and the vertical player of that game, if they want to take a shot, it's going to be Jalen Hyatt, the one that's going to be the guy that's going to get the opportunity. So those are the three wide receivers that I would worry about. I'm not overly concerned about their tight ends, even though they use them all in this, in the way that they play, but primarily they're like underneath players or blockers. They're really not anything in the past, Saints have, I mean, the Giants have had some tight ends that have been pretty good. But this crew is just kind of pretty, just pretty standard for a roster. The offensive line, they brought in a bunch of different guys. They've tried for years to draft this offensive line and it hasn't worked out for them. But the one guy that I think he kind of need to be a little concerned about is the center. John Michael Smith. Don't tell me that and John Michael Smith is a, is a very athletic center. He, they use him in the polling game. They use him in the, in the second level stuff, screen stuff. He is the most athletic guy of the group that I felt like, but the guy you need to kind of take advantage of, I believe is the first round pick the left tackle Andrew Thomas and Mike is eating them up in previous matches. He has. And I, and I'm interested to see how many of those tight ends they put over on that side to try and help him out here or how many times that they chip with say Tyrone Tracy or somebody like that over there. But Andrew Thomas is the one guy that has the most problem, I think with speed and he has a bigger problem when people take him down inside on the pass rush. If you can get inside on this guy, I don't think he's quick enough to cut you off from getting to the quarterback. So left tackle Andrew Thomas need to be, that's the guy I think you need to go after. But be aware, like I say, of John Michael Smith's the center because they will get him out in space and the Cowboys have had some problems when they've gotten blockers out in space on them. The last couple of weeks. He's figured it out now because he was the draft rush two years ago, as you know, and he struggled a little bit as a rookie. He did. He struggled a little bit as a rookie, but he's, he looks a lot better than he has in the past. Oh crap. Daniel Jones, there's still some issues with Daniel Jones at quarterback, but they're trying to help him make him feel more comfortable against Cleveland. He got the ball out very quickly. They're not afraid to throw it into the flat or just underneath just to get it out of his hand. He still has a problem though, when you watch him play, he'll throw to spots and I don't think he always sees where the coverage is. Now, can you get him to throw the football? That's going to be the trick for the Cowboys this week. Can you make him have to be a passer in this game? Because if he has the ability to run and use the running game, then he's a lot better quarterback, but when they, when, when he has to throw the ball a bunch, that's going to be a problem for him. I mentioned that the spots, we all remember where the Cowboys this summer and what they were doing in training camp with the disguisings of the defense, you know, if they could get into a, into a situation where it's pass rush and coverage, then maybe you can get Daniel Jones to throw you a ball or two just because he doesn't read coverage. I think all that well, there are a couple of different times where you like, man, he just did not see that guy standing there. So if Mike Zimmer can get him into that situation where maybe fool him on some looks, maybe give him a, you know, a cover to look and then drop that, drop that safety down into the hole and, you know, he'll try and maybe throw the ball there to that spot. Then you might get an interception out of him. I think the real big difference, you know, the, this team lost Sequan Barkley, but this Devin Singletary, I didn't know much about him. I'd seen him play a Buffalo. I didn't remember much at Houston. Yeah. This kid's a legitimate player. I'm calling him a kid. He's really not a kid, but he is a legitimate player when you look at him and watch him. And they like to hand him in the ball. And then the next thing you know, you're watching the tape and you hand him the ball and it's a five, six yard game. He's, he can make the first guy miss. You could toss it to him. You could throw it to him. They throw screens to him. And this guy's got some finished to him. He's got, like I said, the ability to make him miss be a tough guy to bring down second best, yak in the, in the NFL at the running back position. It's crazy how, how well he's played for them, but he's a strong and fast. You know, he's got the traits. He's so quick. And that's something, you know, that they've, they've struggled with Sequan Barkley, you know, being healthy in a lot of these games against Dallas. Yeah. This guy looks legit. You can tell they've orchestrated and worked on running. They're trying. He's benefiting. Do you feel like they're committed to running the ball more than in recent years? I feel like they really are and, but they're, they're trying to help their line too with the pin and pull stuff, combination blocks. They're not asking their guys to block a lot of one on one. They're trying to kind of get some angled blocks and, and, and allow these guys to not have to deal with, you know, just holding on to blocks because in the past, that's got him in trouble with some holding calls and things like how physical are they? Pretty physical group because they're not, they're not the best, they're, they're kind of a kind of a boxy group and I mean boxing away of guys like John running kind of square. The center's the smallest guy, but they kind of got some size to their line and, but when they get out in space, but this back, it takes advantage of kind of getting tucked in behind these linemen when they block and then, you know, he makes some things happen. They ran the ball pretty decently from the film, you know, looking at the, at the Browns game. They did with, with, I was, I was surprised, but Daniel Jones will run the ball too. You're going to see some RPO stuff from him. Yeah. They have design runs. I know last week we talked about with, with, with the Ravens quarterback there, you know, he, there's design runs in this offense too. It's, you know, pull the tight end across and then all of a sudden everybody's blocking down tight end across and now they're running just quarterback power going to the left. So, you know, you know, at some point teams change from, Hey, let's develop this quarterback in the pocket. Let's keep him healthy too. He's playing for their jobs and the quarterbacks like I'm playing for my job too. Can I run please? Yeah. They're trying to get rid of them. So they're, they're not trying to preserve Daniel Jones. No, no, they, they really don't. And so, uh, single Terry Tracy, Tyrone Tracy. He's a rookie. They picked him the fifth round. I mean, they throw him the ball too, but Daniel Jones, like I said, they're trying to do everything in their power not to have to make him make a bunch of throws. But when he throws the football, Malik neighbors is more than ready to catch it. Wendell Robinson is more than ready to catch it too. And then I could say you have to be worried about the Jalen Hyatt on the vertical routes because they saw Dallas give up one, you know, and I have a, I have a feeling that we're going to see a couple of deep shots against the secondary on Thursday. Well, three games in a row against a running game that could gash it for a buck 50. We'll see how much the quarterback runs too. Yeah. Yeah. I'm saying you get, you get a running back and a quarterback that both can run and maybe I should go to 25 then. My bad. Yeah. I mean, they just, they're off a very, very poor tackling performance and single terries. The best back in the sport at forcing Miss tackles. Yeah. So they're going to have their hands full. It sounds like you described a roughly 27 points against this Cowboys defense to me. I think I, when I was on Dallas Cowboys.com, I picked it. I picked it. What I say 2623 is what I picked. Wow. So I pick the Giants. We will all have our predictions Thursday to kick off the show. Three game will get underway at what, like in the four 15 segment on Thursday or four o'clock. O'clock. Yeah. can now join Emmett Michael some of the other Cowboys that have been outspoken about this football team and here is what he had to say about the Cowboys team building and well does he really think they're trying to win I'm not convinced that Dallas really wants to win and that's hard for me because I'm a fan of Dallas I got it's a lot of people in that building that I have a tremendous amount of respect for I'm not convinced that they actually want to win because there is no way you can look at the landscape of the NFL over the let's just say the last two to three years and think that you've been in position with your work in free agency to put yourself over the top I sit on I sit home sometimes on the sofa with my feet up and I listen to people say what a roster was good enough and the roster did this and they got to do this and they just got it's not it hasn't been and it's something that I've been screaming like 12 wins is great but if we talking about a Super Bowl I just I want somebody this is what I've been praying for Dan Rosano you you a historian in the NFL listen I want somebody to go back the last five years and tell me what team has won the Super Bowl only through the draft yeah just name one of them now there hasn't been so I can't like every time you say that or somebody says that I'm like but the blueprint of winning a Super Bowl or making it to one has been to be aggressive in free agency that's literally been the blueprint to get there now the other argument you remember me and Teddy Bruski said here this summer and I told him I said they're not good enough Teddy yeah oh they're good enough they got dad and they got bro they Dallas got three people that you worry about on this football team you can't win like that and it's unfortunate and it's not a good thing but we the fans and everybody talk to me about why you bro they're not good enough to do it yeah I hope they don't want to win because if they do want to win and they think this is the best way to go about doing that then the problem is even worse you know I hope especially with this year that they're like okay we need a year to to get our cap in order so we're not spending anything this year and we got to hope that the light bulb comes on because he's right the teams that are getting there you either have one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time or you're so aggressive with the cap that you can get there with the Matt Stafford or with a 43 year old Tom Brady and finish it does he include teams that won Super Bowls before the salary cap well he's just I mean I'm asking I'm asking I'm asking I mean okay which would be the Chiefs three times okay and I'm buddy said the last five years because the bucks and Rams I was sitting there thinking about all the you know San Francisco had a draft that where it was all I mean if you think about teams pre salary cap yeah they did it all the time I mean you didn't pre 2010 yeah yeah I mean they it kind of changed from it was a league that if you got it as a wild car team you could go on this magical run now there's just a couple of teams that are better constructed and are so aggressive to make sure they don't have the big problems so flawed rosters can't get it done but the Cowboys still believe that's the best way to team build is to pick the one spot that you're going to sacrifice and if you don't want to have it all then you can generally be you know a playoff team almost every year and they think like just barely being a playoff team and is giving them as good of a chance as the teams that are super aggressive it when it comes to free agency and you know I share Marcus Spears frustration honestly it sounds like Marcus Spears has been listening to our show you know because it's just a head scratcher that smart people could genuinely come to these kind of conclusions on how to build a contender you can't do it I mean you're putting so much pressure on will McLean your scouting department to ace the draft every single year yeah if that's the only way you're going to re and they've done for the most part outside of maybe the MOSSE year with scoony in the set around and oh I mean we'll see you know time to sell them back that has why have they gone from really good to now one of the worst they got worse than the last season they didn't yeah and and those guys aren't really stepping up for you right now like Jalen Tolbert this was a year and I get it like they said all right you're going to be our third receiver we drafted you for this we need you to step up and he's looked better maybe as the course of the season goes on maybe he will end up getting better but right now I don't think we're like overly confident defenses aren't like oh Jalen Tolbert's really scarin us right now right no no so yeah and and no the Chiefs did they've signed a lot of free agents if you look at the three years they've won the Super Bowl Orlando Brown Jr. they brought into the left tackle Joe Tuny who they brought in from New England jujus miss Schuster who was big for them in the Super Bowl went over the Eagles last year mark has Valdez Scantling two safeties the honey badger Tyron Matthew and Justin Reed like sorry that's the other thing is they have my homes they do but they have a guy that gives you an edge and they're spending more than the Cowboys right yeah and and they've also made hey we're not going to always pay our guy like most teams probably are paying Tyree kill they said we're going to go ahead and not do that we're going to trade him we're going to get assets and yes when you have my homes and Reed maybe you're able to do that but all last year that offense looked terrible then finally in the postseason because my homes is my homes somehow all of a sudden and Travis Kelsey of course they end up elevating their level of play but they also let it luxurious need go like corner yeah that's the big one I think to that is the underlying one which is they're willing to say yes we acknowledge your greatness Tyree kill but we are willing to move on from you and the Cowboys haven't shown they're willing to do that with star players they end up acquiescing every time they play a hard ball the whole time and then they cave in that's what they do the Chiefs did something different there and now they've done it again as you mentioned with luxurious need and they do draft extremely well but I mean you say Andy Reed and Pat my homes it's it's obviously difficult to find those things especially finding a Pat my homes but you should have an Andy Reed there's no excuse for you not to have an Andy Reed you're the most you're the most powerful franchise in the sport if you actually wanted to win you could go get the best coach anytime you want there's no salary cap on it nothing you have more resources than anybody if you just had the desire you can go get the right coach they just they refuse to identify and you're absolutely right to and for their defense has been outstanding and it definitely was last year I mean they were brilliant and hey the one guy they paid Chris Jones defensive tackle in the middle and that's one position the Cowboys just haven't seemed to have ever since Jay Ratliff yeah yeah and then you know things like that what Troy come and did you know I have one set of stats in the regular season when the playoffs come I'm gonna elevate my level I'm gonna limit the mistakes even more and make sure that when I do risk the football it's because that's what the game absolutely demands of me right now dude amen Chris Jones perfect example he's a guy that fourth quarter big moments big plays big games postseason he is the best version of himself my homes is the same way Kelsey's been the same way you need Mikey to do that yes you know you need all your guys you need to do that but simply the guys that you're like those are the guys they've committed big money to I don't know the Cowboys really got on the return on their investment when it comes to the guys that they've given big money to yeah not when it matters not at all sure not at all all let's get into the top 10 the top 10 weird but good food combos that people are eating out there 877 881 105 3 have you looked at the I just curious about this did you look at the 2023 Kansas City Chiefs and see what free agents they signed no did you look at but off I got the top of my head Mike Edwards Lane Gabbard Sebastian Gutierrez Phil Hotkins Lamar Jax and the quarterback from the from the Broncos Richie James Charles and men who Donovan Smith that was many he was pretty big for them yeah Donovan Smith Donna Taylor drew tranquil Chris Williams yeah they had four starters there poor starters yeah both those tackles started many you started so the biggest the biggest additions were that but they of all those guys they signed they got two players at the two tackles right yeah that was their biggest the biggest signs it's not like you got to go and build your entire team and free agency but you got at least bring in a couple of players that are going to really help you and it was the year before that that they loaded up on all of the offensive linemen and retooled some things after losing to Tom and the Bucks and the Super Bowl and realizing okay we got a we got to get some we got to get some new blood in here yeah I'm just curious who all these I'm gonna go through look at all these guys who they signed yeah how many do it how many I mean because like I said if you know if you look okay how about for the let's see the draft that's the Rams let me see if I get to go ahead and start yeah we'll circle back that when you when you've got the names we got a lot of good test come text coming in pimento cheese with chocolate milk that's interesting mmm mayo and ramen noodles spicy nuggets with chocolate frosty from Wendy's is bomb oh that's yeah that's yeah I could see that for sure with the french fries and stuff too yeah doing the dips yeah I mean the fries and the shake like that's one I mean do you guys have any weird food combos that you're like I always think that Italian food and salads don't work well together one is hot you know and then one is cold like eating them on the same plate yeah on the same plate of the dressing and the marinara kind of co-mingles okay because at all it like that's the whole olive garden like I'm going for the endless salad and I went that the other day but I get it maybe on the same keep it separated right yeah what about you Lucius you know like the yams and the greens touching you know like that I don't I don't I don't like the sweets touching like you know like the vinegar of the dressing you don't put it on the same fork sometimes mmm no okay there's certain things that will cross over but those are you know ones that that don't so do you attack one food at a time on your plate are you just oh wow yeah I don't and I really don't want my maple syrup leaking on to my omelet geez I feel like the omelet is almost ruined crazy dude wow that's I love I love the syrup I kind of like now it's in sausage and there's pancake and there's sausage it is good yeah there's hash brown yeah the sausage syrup on the sauce it's a blessing yeah it is man uh wool chug uh let's see popcorn and Louisiana hot sauce okay you can see that being good try that avocado slices and honey oh I've never tried that that's pretty good honestly this isn't honey the more I the more like honey just it's good on everything everything I like the honey on the eggs dude I know that might creep you out a little bit yeah honey on the eggs on chicken I take a spoonful of honey every morning my help with the allergies type of box more game changer that local honey yeah local yeah local joint that's smart please let go honey oatmeal yeah what's the walnuts in it oh wait peanut butter and dill pickles uh wow it's weird it in it's very weird mustard on sneakers oh my god would you do that it's bad uh it's got a mustard beer coming out Fletcher's corn dog is announcing a mustard beer that they're gonna debut at the state potential here I think ketchup ketchup has the potential to make things weird more so than mustard if you ask me like you put ketchup on a steak ketchup on tacos a ketchup on chicken strips all of a sudden like this really core you know a condiment that America has an obsession with it just it throws everything off to me number 10 according to tasty weird foods that are actually good combos together number 10 I love slicing up dill pickles in my mac and cheese sounds disgusting but I love the little crunch with the bite of creamy cheese no shame that's weird I cannot wait to pull all of these where you're are you reading them first person yeah number nine beef flavored ramen noodles with some peanut butter it sounds weird but it gives you that delicious Thai peanutty taste okay I actually I can see it yeah you've kind of sold me but I do wonder like how we're executing this are we are we stirring up a peanut butter spoon inside the hot soup here I wonder as well how like how's it dilute I think a big key there would be like to take most of the water out so you can get more of a paste going yeah okay yeah yeah you're right all right look at us connecting eight and I got this on twitter as well and I have heard of this one a slice of cheese think like a craft singles melted on top of apple pie yeah can't do it but but yeah but don't don't go for the cheap cheese so you know you don't like to do a craft single yeah if you're gonna get you just urinating on the pie yeah go for it go for a really good cheese and and do that that's not a bad combination there this one I have kind of fought against but I don't know people do like this I make tuna salad with pretty much whatever fruit is in my fridge yes ice grapes chopped apples or pears mandarin oranges learned it from my dad and I used to find it repulsive but as I've gotten older it's been fantastic great combination yeah absolutely 9-2-0 catch up on tacos what the bleep it's it's a thing from the 80s man in the north you know we didn't have a lot of taco eat and folks around to learn from so we were just we were doing our best with the pictures we saw on TV mmm number six you probably heard the dipping french fries in a milkshake but hear me out chicken nuggets dipped in a milkshake yeah just like it's spicy nuggets in the frosty number five french fries and powdered sugar I learned this accidentally at the beach when the wind flipped my funnel cake over in my bucket of french fries okay I was gonna say this is kind of like french fries funnel cake yeah it's greasing yeah it's greasing sounds good I do think powdered sugar might be the most slept on like additive you're right because I never think about adding powdered sugar but dude I'm gonna knock it why not it's good we go to my aunt's house growing up and it was like eggo waffles with syrup and the the powdered sugar and whatever else chocolate chips she had a dang bar out there yeah you're keeping it just for breakfast stuff you ain't putting it on like yeah for the most part french toast yeah you're saying slip on in a way of like yeah for breakfast things yeah i mean i'm not thinking you're going to put it on your legs i'm supposed to be getting a baked potato or anything like that right no sir no sir mostly desserts and breakfast you could be on something there could be delicious yeah number four dill pickles with sharp cheddar cheese and chunky peanut butter i developed a snack when my wife was pregnant and it has become a mainstay in her home okay that sounds awful the pickles and cheese is kind of a charcuterie board thing but yeah the peanut butter yeah it looks gross too uh number three one combination i love is potato chips dipped into chocolate peanut butter and banana smoothie it was one of the things i craved when i was pregnant but i really have to try it again one of these days salt salt and sweet yeah and number two balsamic vinegar on ice cream is incredible but you have to use good thick balsamic not that grocery store trash man that that's that's a very very weird one how about this you know how to source that i don't either balsamic vinegar and strawberries is good yeah absolutely it is uh we have the try some of these the two five four twinkies and queso oh god twink i'm just gonna i wouldn't knock that back is wide you know what i'm saying basically he's creating twinkie nachos is what he's doing he's taking twinkies not something i would think this is not a one just not probably a weird combination but if you use pork rinds instead of chips in your queso oh yes it's much it's a much better some of those pork rinds i'm exploring all kinds of it right now they have some sort of a creamy texture inside of them i definitely don't like those last one yeah go ahead i'm sorry number one and you said the balsamic vinegar and the strawberries they do strawberries in black pepper the pepper somehow enhances the strawberry flavor without making it spicy okay and three cheese that's really good so there's your top ten weird i was good food that was very weird japanese barbecue sauce on my salad as it as kind of interesting okay good list we'll check gotta run cuz cy is set to join us we'll chat with the rangers gm for the final time in this 2024 baseball season it's next on your home of the champs welcome back nation it's time now for the chris young show here on your home of the rangers 105 3 the fan cy show is brought you by playscore and anheuser bush segments brought you by soda pre-game at eight o'clock tonight to first pitch about eight thirty seven here is a cy joint you now here on the fan in a good afternoon sir how the heck are you hey guys i'm well how are you all oh we're doing about the same you know schedule finishing up here late summer i i was wondering are you relieved that we get to take this season out to the back 40 and just be done with it for good or how you looking at the final week well it's funny i was in boach's office two days ago and he said cy what do you want to see this final week and i said boach i want to win you know i i want to win that's the most important part to me i want to come out and play good baseball for the last week and you know go out and close out 2024 on a winning note and uh and then we turn the page and we move on to 2025 and um you know i maybe it's just a competitor in me i know there are a lot of young guys that you know we'd like to see but that said i want to put a winning team out in the field i want to finish strong and i want to play the baseball that i think we're capable of playing and um if i if we do that i you know i think we'll finish we'll have a good road trip here and finish the way we want well that'd be a you know good way to head off into the off season now what do you think about the the last series in oakland for for the rangers is this is this a it is a place rich in baseball history what first comes to mind for you yeah you know it's funny i actually i um pulled into the the stadium here this afternoon in the parking lot and there are already fans lined up at the uh the lot waiting to get in and um you know it's been a lot of time here as a player and i i like this place i mean there's a lot of history here a lot of great players a lot of great teams that have come through uh oakland and uh you know it's sad it's sad for baseball that they're leaving and um but i am happy that we're here to close it out um i i do have fond memories of pitching here of of playing against the A's and um and it's a great environment when the places full and the fans are here they're rowdy and uh create the great environment i think that's what we're going to expect this uh this these last three games here and i'm excited to see it and i just hope we play well and uh find a way to win in a in a rowdy environment one of the few ball parks where you might have a possum sneak up on you or something huh uh you hope it's a possum there may be bigger than that but yeah but uh no it is i mean it's an old ballpark it's run down the amenities are not are not the best but you know i always thought that was part of the A's identity too is that they found a way to embrace that and just sort of have a chip on their shoulder and uh there there wasn't much um you know there weren't many frills of being a player in oakland but they always put together good teams and they play hard and uh this year's team is no different marcate has got them playing very very hard and uh and the guys seem to embrace kind of the you know the blue collar mentality that exists in playing in the colesam one of the positives to the end of this season is certainly been the way why at length where it's been playing had another home run over the weekend how impressive is this for him as you look at his season coming to an end in the excitement heading into next year yeah i mean i i can speak from personal experience in your first full season by the end of september it's a it's a mental grind you've never been through a season that long in your life you've never played this many games in your life and so you kind of hope to get to the finish line you don't expect to sprint through it and why it is accelerating as he's reaching the finish line and it's really fun to see i think it speaks to why it's aptitude the adjustments he's made over the course of the season um his mentality of getting better not letting things phase them and just taking it day to day and um he's got all the attributes of a really really good player and to see what he's done over the last six weeks and the way he's come on strong it's it's so exciting to think about what he's going to be in 2025 and beyond see why i know we have you know you have games still in hand that you have to finish out i was just curious in the NFL we we have with the exit interviews and stuff like that we always met with the players and talk with them and kind of told them their ideas what we need to do for the off season do they do the same thing in baseball do you meet with everybody when uh you know when the season's over with and kind of get ideas going forward yes it's it's why i'm on the trip and um we'll meet with every player uh Bochan i will meet with every player and really lay out uh the season what we saw uh what we think um needs to improve as we go into the off season areas of focus and uh and where players can get better and what we want collectively is a team um going into the winter and coming back next year i think it sets a tone um in an expectation um i i never actually believe it or not in baseball it's not something that's commonly done and so i never had that as a player not one team i was on had exit interviews i've done it three of the four years i've been here with the one exception being last year when there was um the best kind of ending to the season you could possibly have and we didn't have the time to do those types of interviews but this year we are doing them we're doing them uh this week over the course of the road trip and uh we'll do the same with the coaches when we get back to Arlington after the road trip well as we talked with you about last week the excitement was having rocker endogrom and and getting to see them pitch do have you formulated a plan at all for them moving into next year do you have to monitor their innings at all yeah we'll we'll approach that as we get into next year in the off season we'll talk with the medical group and the performance department really decide what the right threshold of innings is and i think it's not just the innings it's the way we manage their starts and how many starts they do on four days rest how many starts they do on five when we need to skip a start stuff like that looking at different pockets of the schedule where we may play 17 on a row or you know 30 out of 31 and deciding that okay this may be a good stretch where we skip a start or at some point if they're looking fatigued we i'll somebody to make sure that they have ample recovery time and stay strong throughout the season so there's a number of ways to manage that a bunch of strategic conversations and decisions that will get into the season is the off season gets underway here and really as we get into spring training we'll have a specific plan for each player put in a context what rockers last start means for you know his foreseeable future is it relevant at all that you know you maybe you had more base runners than than you would like or is that just part of the recovery process i think it's just part of the natural um the simulation of a major league starter he just he needs time and they're gonna be moments where he's not feeling his best or he doesn't have his best command and he's gonna run into trouble and he navigated those really well we actually we made an error that cost him two earned runs otherwise i felt like despite not having his best stuff he gave his chance to win and um you know that's the the making of a good pitcher when on the days you're not feeling great that you can go out and still compete and so i think we saw that um now my hope is that this last start it's going to be a fun start the last game here at the coliseum and uh it'll be a rowdy crowd a day game uh an environment which he's never seen um my hope is that he finishes strong and and ends on a a real um positive outing and uh builds momentum into the off season but um you know the natural it's going to take him i i don't think we'll know what kumar is going to truly be um you know without seeing him at least you know 20 starts in the big leagues see why uh my question for you then is do you anticipate any changes within the staff uh i i know that's something you probably have to sit down and talk about with Boach and stuff but do you anticipate any changes with your staff going forward yeah Boach and i haven't had the discussion yet um but i will say i believe in the staff we have i think they're a great staff they're very talented it's the same staff that won the world series last year and while we've come up short this year i know it's no uh fault of the staff in terms of the effort the energy the commitment and the dedication that they've shown uh to the organizations for the players themselves so uh what i don't know is you know how many of them will have external opportunities there may be um some callings on staff members and in which case we need to reevaluate and decide uh the best way to backfill if we lose any staff members but um you know i can't say um perfectly if there will be changes right now but that's the conversation Boach and i will have in the coming days and at which point we'll evaluate um the best way to structure the staff uh going forward and um and some of that may be dependent upon what you know what transpires externally uh with job openings throughout the industry and uh Josh Young with the uh with the hand he's obviously shut down what's what's his outlook as it pertains to that yeah we're trying to get some answers there and i think that uh it's been frustrating for Josh um he's such a hard worker and he's so committed and uh to have him have a little bit of a setback right now it's been hard for him i know he wanted to finish the season strong but uh this thing flared up just a little bit um and it's you know it's kind of normal when they put a plate into his wrist uh to stabilize the bone um but there's a tendon that runs along that plate that has continued to get irritated and so i think we have to step back and evaluate the best way to mitigate this and manage it moving forward and um we hope to have answers within the next four or five days as to what that looks like it's Chris Young here with us you know here on the radio side we entertain all kinds of ideas and scenarios is the thought of a Corey Seger transitioning to first base something that's relevant in your world at all well you know if Corey was struggling at shortstop we may consider that but Corey has been uh so good at short he's played a great defense he grades out very well in all our objective defensive metrics and external metrics uh from third parties uh so i think that right now he's really a premier shortstop and um there may come a time at which Corey uh his body doesn't allow him to play short but that time is not now and we have high high level of confidence that Corey will bounce back and be healthy next year and play a great shortstop for us see why it's going to be the 24th year that uh major league baseball does not have a repeat champ that'll be 25 next year when of course you and the Texas Rangers are back winning the world series but if somebody were to say hey what were some of the biggest things you learned and challenges when it comes to repeating outside of the injuries because you were snake bitten this year what what are some of your thoughts reflecting back on that well you know i think that and i experienced this as a player in 2015 going into the 2016 season in Kansas City when we won the world series and i think that as a player it's natural that you you have this emotional month where you reach the pinnacle of the game and you win and then you start your off season and you need time mentally and physically to recover and then you're kind of behind the eight ball so the off season accelerates on you and then you get into spring training and you think okay i got to ease into it because i'm i'm not as far long as i was last year when there was a full off season and all of a sudden you look up and you get into May and June and you're you're a little bit behind the eight ball still because you haven't sped up and caught up in terms of the work that you've missed out on and i'm not sure there's a perfect way to avoid that aside from just making sure that you really have the the same complete off season and do it with the same edge and mentality as you did in the losing seasons and um it may be just natural that guys do let down their guard a little bit um after they win and i saw that in Kansas City and i think one of the things that's important about this game is that you really never arrived there are very few players that ever have this you know have the the job security and they fully arrived in this game and so i think for for all of our guys to stay hungry to stay focused and continue to work because the off season of the foundation um in terms of what what you can expect during the regular season if you don't build that good strong foundation in the off season it's really hard to catch up during the season and of course that foundation in pro sports all you know flows from from capital uh tv money gonna be right uh next year do you anticipate it'll impact your budget again or how do you look how do we what do we know about that well i mean to some degree i don't know exactly the extent to which it will um but we'll have those conversations when i get back next week i'll sit down with ray and our ownership and really look at what what next year looks like in terms of revenues and our tv money and we'll formulate the best plan possible to to put a winning team out on the field but i am very excited about the core group that we have and i'm very confident that um if we you know run this group out there and they all have great off seasons and come back motivated and hungry uh that this team can be capable of winning and doing special things and it's up to us to really fill out the rest of the roster around the core group that we have and i'm looking forward to doing that yeah i can't wait to get a chance to catch up with you maybe in in the off season probably our last chat till then anytime guys i really appreciate it i preach all the support that you guys have provided this year in a tough year and really to all the fans listening i just want to say a big thank you for what it's been um really the most special 10 or 11 months in in texas rangers history and throughout the community hearing so many people their gratitude and support for our organization the fanfare seeing kids and and fans wearing the ranger tea with pride throughout dfw it's been such a rewarding experience and while i regret that we're not going to be back in the playoffs and having a chance to compete for world series this year it has meant so much to me and everybody affiliated with the rangers to have the support that we have and i can't wait to get back to work and bounce back in 2025 so thank you thank you to all our fans and looking forward to a great off season we'll see why we can't wait to read the book on because you're a pro's pro about the way you handle your job and thanks for the hour we're joined now by odyssey nfl insider mark slareth host of the stinking truth podcast insider calls are brought you by helman's real manes mayo game day be delicious and a good afternoon to you mark how the heck are you i'm doing great how are you guys doing well you know we're doing pretty good i you know i think just generally around the cowboys right now we're just wondering how bad is this football team yeah that's a great question uh you know i mean obviously like you you look at the cowboys and i think you know the big things that that always seem to crop up is they don't have any problem you know handling the bad teams but when a good team comes to town and a good physical team comes to town they get absolutely molly walked and um that's a you know that's a concern you know they every time you look at you look over the last couple of years when a good rushing team comes into town they're putting up 150 plus i mean it is just like poop through a goose and that's something that is like hey man you know i'm gonna say it and this is a dirty four-letter word and the national football league it's soft and that is something that you call anybody that plays in the national football league soft those are fighting words um so i'm going to hide in new york why i call them soft but like you give up a hundred eighty nine yards russian sorry i don't know what else to call you um and that has been a consistent theme when they face one of those teams it can really be physical and control line of scrimmage they get run through and you know at some point you know at some point you got to put your foot down say that's not going to happen anymore and whether that's players do the better job assignment football wise or where that's coaches just saying hey listen man we'll put nine guys in the box that we have to play zero but you ain't running down our throats anymore hey mork i i was wondering you know we do the post game show here and three different times on the podium the head coach was talking about preparation the players in the locker room we're talking about preparation and lack of it is that something that immediately got my attention when you start talking about those kinds of things is as a player would you be worried if your teammates were saying that oh absolutely i mean i you listen um i play professional football sure i'm a professional football player and just because you play a pro sport doesn't make you a professional and that would scare me because ultimately you are not being a professional you are not taking care of your teammates and listen man championship teams play for a bigger cause than themselves they play for each other and if you want to be a championship team it's got to be sacrificial you know i i've got this text of the day from one of the guys that uh that i kind of do some stuff with and and you know and share scriptures and things of that nature with and i think it mentions in the bible leadership six times it mentions being a servant hundreds of times and ultimately if you're not willing to serve one another if you're not willing to sacrifice one another i mean you're not willing to be a professional to make sure your assignment sound to make sure you don't line up in the right place like your time at doing whatever it is you're doing is more valuable whether it's you know just not study and play in video games watching tv whatever you know whatever your thing is if you're if you can't line up in the right spot like it's not that important to you it's not that important to you for your for your team like i like i don't want you on my team sorry you're not you're not a guy that i can count on i like that that would that would absolutely destroy me and i heard that press guy talk about professionalism as well sure like you line up in the right spot or you're kidding me right is it ever an issue when when players are are bickering at each other or venting at each other arguing during a uh a time like this well you know i mean the bickering and stuff comes when some guys just aren't doing what they're supposed to be doing and um you know you'd like to be able to rectify that internally right you'd like to be able to go address that and and fix it but um i'm telling you what that it is you know it's a concerning thing um and so yeah we've you know we've talked about it on the breakfast ball show that i do here in New York and you know and and obviously it's a it's a big deal but um you just can't you can't win that way with a lack of professionalism and then ultimately it comes down to a lack of leadership you're either coaching that or you're allowing it to happen which one is it are you coaching on professionalism or you're just allowing them to be unprofessional so like and and part of that is not mike mccarthy's fault because like what authority has he been given do you have the authority to cut guys do you have the authority to not play guys do you have the authority to just say i'm not i don't i don't care how good this player is he doesn't do the right thing he's not the right spot he's not gonna play like again that's an organizational this is the thing i always say with Dallas Cowboys you know when your owner is doing you know bi-weekly radio shows i know it's great i know it's great for the stations you know everybody loves that and he's holding press conferences afterwards and and you know you appoint coaches but you don't empower coaches um that is you know it's never a good situation and you know and then players i mean i know how i i was a player i know how it works when you're a player when your coach doesn't truly have authority you know what you don't do you don't listen to them sometimes um so you know i mean hey mike chanahan i played for mike chanahan mike chanahan would cut your ass in two seconds if you weren't in the right spot but then he might ask you out for pizza afterwards like he had there there was no like it wasn't it was one of those things where you have reverence and respect for your head coach because you have reverence for him because he puts you in the right spot to win and he understands what it is to win and mike McCarthy knows that but you also have this i always talk about two types of fear there is the biblical sense of fear which is a awesome reverence and respect for the guy because of what he is how he operates what he does all those things and then there's the other type of fear the fear where he will cut my ass in two seconds if i don't do my job and i don't i don't believe that exists in dallas stank how scary are the commanders listen they are they're a ways away they're a ways away talent wise from being really good but they have something that they are you know they have some things from dank quin that are non-negotiable and those non-negotiable so we're going to play for one another which obviously you don't have in dallas right now and we're going to play a physical brand of football like we may get beat because we don't we don't have the talent level that that's required to be great at every level but at the end of the day you know you're in a fist fight and those are non-negotiable for dank quin and now with the quarterback what he did the other night and what they did as an offense like they're running the ball listen man that's the fifth leading rushing team in football uh going into uh no coming out of last night i believe um like they are going to run the snot out of the ball not only attempts but brian robins are going to beat you up run on the ball and they're going to lean into that and then you know jayden dan is going to run the ball as well but they're going to lean into that physicality and at the end of the day they may not win but you're going to know you were involved in a football game there's no paddock going on there with the washington commanders great football truth mark sorry we don't have more time for you cowboys player show and eric kendrick's joining us once again here on the fan what's up good afternoon sir how the heck are you really good right on practice go well and everything practice went well um i think we had rain one or two days ago so this humidity you know still trying to get used to it yeah yeah a couple of more weeks here before we're in the clear yeah someone just told me it wasn't human today though so you know i find it hard to believe yeah yeah i don't know maybe that was somebody from houston where it's even worse it's exactly what it was here you go it's eric kendrick's here you know there's been a lot of talk this week uh in in the locker room uh you know about guys trying to be superman or not just doing their job what do you see as as far as the the reason that opposing running games have had so much success here in the last couple weeks yeah you know i feel like um obviously we present we were presented with different challenges these past two weeks but um like you said you know i feel like you know guys need to settle down you know do our job understand how people are gonna attack us now and um just have a have a physicality have a have a mindset when it comes with a run from your experience is you know is there is there the ability to get significantly better at this while the season's already going on oh yeah for sure um you know that that's the beauty about you know this whole situation obviously this is not the situation we want to be in but at the same time this is the reality of it but um you know it's the first three games and um we're heading into our fourth and uh you know it's it's early but you know we we definitely you know have some work to do for sure hypothetically just football speaking how difficult would it be in a fantasy world where you're trying to play linebacker and your defensive tackles aren't very good like just how difficult would that be hypothetically i mean hypothetically i mean we can go through hypotheticals all day you know i feel like but um you know i feel like that's not our situation you know we feel like we have we have a lot of good guys a lot of you know obviously it's a new scheme and things like that um and we're gonna see some some new stuff uh opening up the season but at the end of the day you know i feel like we have what we need and um it's about executing everyone doing their job and then when the play presents itself you know if i'm doing my job it gives somebody else the opportunity to make the play on the on the running back or whoever it may be eric there was a lot of conversation from some of your teammates about attention to detail i'm sure you guys had some conversations about that as well mica was talking about all 11 on the same page no hero ball can you kind of let us insight on when you watch on tape what are some of the things that you're seeing that leads to people saying that they need to be corrected yeah you know like i mean just just from uh you know i just you know i'll talk about myself you know there's a there was a there was a couple plays early on where it was like uh you know when we when we go over the film and we rule it out you know i'm supposed to be doing one thing but you know as the motions go on and as the heat of the game goes on you know you you're trying to make a play you're trying to do something else that you're not supposed to be doing and you make you know you take two or three steps the wrong way thinking that you know you can you can help make a play when in reality you know if i would have just stuck to my job you know it would have been cleaner overall so i mean you know that's just that was just you know you know like i said that's that was coming from me so and i've been in this defense so it's just like um you know comment down you know everybody you know we know the situation and everything like that so you know everybody wants everybody wants a certain outcome and that's that that's the you know when you have guys who are all wanting to win and all wanting to be you know there for their teammates you know you kind of have that sometimes but everyone needs to know that you know it's actually by playing team team football is when we're going to have the best success eric is it you know when you play on a Thursday night after a physical game against the physical team you know sunday with the Ravens is it harder for you mentally or is it harder for you physically to get back on that horse on Thursday um i i don't know you know i feel like if you if you're built for it like me you know it's just yeah you just get ready you know it is what it is you know i can sit here and make every excuse in the book but that game is not going to change days you know yeah my but you know my body is is uh my responsibility so i need to get my you know my work in and and um get get it feeling right for that for that game day and mentally you know last week is last week and now we have an opportunity to play you know the Giants on Thursday night um everybody's gonna be watching and um you know it's a huge op you have a pretty still approach to to football is that a common theme in your life just i mean i feel like there's just a calm it i try to be you know i try to be a similar person you know coming to work every day and i feel like that's why i've had the success i've had it's because um when times are good when times are bad i rely on the same kind of process you know i'd obviously uh post-game i give myself the you know those that that day or so to to process how i'm feeling you know um you know maybe things are good maybe things are bad but either way i'm processing how i'm feeling and then once that once that we turn the page it's like okay what do i need to do i need to get my acupuncture i need to get my body work i need to you know hydrate i need to eat right i need to do all the things so where um you know study my playbook study my opponent and it's like i have to do these things on the week to week and i can't really you know i can't really fade off one of the weeks or the other because um you know they're gonna be take the other team's gonna be taking advantage of that and i feel like oftentimes you know you um you hear about the rookie wall and things like that and that's that's like a that's that's the thing i can kind of compare it to and it's like i remember when i was a rookie and i didn't think i was going through it i didn't think i was going through it and all of a sudden i had a little bit of a rib injury and i was out for a week and then like kind of the whole rush of the season kind of hit me like man this is a long season and it's like no you know like that's why you have to rely on your your process and and and you have to rely on your your routine because that will carry you through it's Eric Hendricks here with you on the fan okay what is the perfect weather to play a football game in because i think you might have it sunday pretty good time of the year to be heading to New York 71 degrees partly cloudy oh yeah i mean come on uh yeah i feel like uh i may be a little crazy in this sense but i feel like anywhere between 30 to anywhere between 30 to 70 degrees clear skies um i'm okay with that's the minutes of like you're talking right there it's and that's just because like yeah sometimes when it's like 40 degrees you know what i mean 30 I even i'm a little skewed like i said let's go 40 degrees 40 to 70 that's more reasonable but like yeah both freezing you get that you you get that uh you get that brisk air you know and get that you know and you can breathe a little bit better um you know just the the sweating the hydration is a little bit different of a factor you know sometimes you got to hydrate so much you're out in the field you got a belly full of liquid you know it doesn't it doesn't feel the best but you need to do it to hydrate yeah i mean what is uh when it comes to the like how cold can it be for you to be like okay i can justify wearing sleeves or is there is it never cold enough for that you can't i can't justify myself to do that personally you know um it's it's it's no sleeves no matter what however uh i think that any game uh like my scale is any game above any game above eight degrees i'm okay with wow i saw you okay you more are you more worried about your toes see i worked for the packers so five years of my life i stood watching games on sidelines there were you more worried about your toes or your fingers when you're playing in above eight degrees i think that it's just a matter of having a you know you got to stay warm in the sideline obviously just the key but like if there's no wind and it's above eight yeah i feel like you could do a pretty good job of that you know obviously when you're on the field the key is to stay moving and stay you know you know kind of stay bouncing around on the sideline but like you get you get the blanket you get the you know the the jacket and you sit on the bench with the the heat coming up to the feet you can you can maintain you know i mean and that's um that's obviously my psycho skewed yeah um you know mindset being you know playing in negative 25 i learned i learned you are psychotic yeah i learned you could take that cape you could put it you could put it you can almost make a tent out of it you know not don't put it around your shoulders but kind of make a tent with the air blows up into it oh yeah you know so you're like you're not like if you sit on that jacket it's not going to it's not going to get you warm i mean you got to you got to make it kind of a tent out of it and then that way you can uh you can stay warm on the sidelines game definitely you get the belly full of liquids going i mean don't you wish they have that blue tent there for like the injury tent don't you wish they have like a little uh little porta john over there on the sidelines for you guys from time to time why the hell don't they yeah that's not an option you know um you know i think the thing is to get it done before you give you you know obviously there's emergency situations but um yeah tell me about those if you got a pee you got a pee on yourself okay so i see eric was trying to get you to say that are you speaking for experience you're not yeah you're asking if i peed on myself before absolutely you know absolutely okay what about on the field though on the field that's what i'm saying i'm just kidding so you're just kind of like making a tackle or something you know i mean if you're super super hydrated it's not like you're doing a full you know restroom on yourself but um yeah i'll be lying if i said no would you ever weaponize that against the opposition never never i know i try to i try to treat people how i want to be treated out there everything's all things fair and fair and square you know but at the same time i'm not trying to i'm not trying to do that can you describe some of those piles man i know people are doing weird they're they're eye gouged and they're doing weird stuff yeah um yeah you know like some you know when that ball's loose in the pile you know um it's fair game it's every you know everyone's trying to get that ball so um you know it's yeah i feel like it was a little bit crazier in college because there was less less money being taken away but um you know that yeah college was absolutely psycho man okay so we had a spitgate go down with the saints and eagles game have you ever witnessed the the spituation type of thing going down no i think in high school that was a thing you know um i haven't you know or someone tried to poke my eyes in high school i remember but uh um i got the visor now it's a lot harder um and like i said you know we can get we can get big funds now and other sorts of things so i'm just a little bit less than that as eric kendrick's with us here on the fan you mentioned high school football so did you grow up just you were always that dude on your team you playing both ways i mean what was that like just i wouldn't say i wouldn't say i always grew up that dude you know um i one of the things that i did have it in his advantage was my brother when when my brother was you know going to be a senior he was that dude so that kind of instilled confidence in me like i play basketball against my brother i do this against my brother i beat him you know so i was like i'm you know my brothers looked at it like this but i feel like i'm better so that that installed confidence in me but um yeah no i feel like i was a late bloomer always um i will i you know um my junior year i started kind of getting you know a little bit of recognition i started getting my first offers my senior year in high school so you know i was a little bit late to the late to the party but like i said i was always a late bloomer um going into college you know i was probably one of the lowest recruits in the in the class we had a UCLA uh i got put on the red shirt list automatically you know didn't even get a really a fair shot at you know playing as a true freshman and um i just worked my way up at totem pole yeah you did it sarah kendrick's here with you on the fan and it looks like you were a pretty good basketball player along the way huh i was i was pretty solid you know i had a um i played obviously for my school and my senior year we made it to state playoffs but uh i also played for um uh a you team called organized chaos and now i mean we had some goons on that squad for sure who did you ever come up against any players that turned out to be nba guys or have anybody like that on your team um yeah um we played against this guy uh i think novels meant no what was his name josh smith josh smith was a you know his head is in high school and um i mean we i definitely played against a bunch of people um but i remember josh smith it was my first game on varsity and um i went to pump fake and like his his like size 17 shoe or whatever it was like was on he stepped on my my front foot so i couldn't like really go anywhere because his foot was on top of my foot so i put up this like little lazy shot and he just swatted my he swatted it to the next next cord over you know it was like a bunch of scrimmages next next to each other and he just swatted it to the next game that's awesome have you gotten have you had any conversation any any talk in the locker room perhaps about the the the basketball players to football or football players to basketball in which one would be easier to pull off yeah you know i think i have a we always talk about this but skill wise i think basketball is a much more skilled sport however i think the better athletes play football and also you know you have to be kind of a kind of crazy person play football too you know and it's like yeah you know you get a bunch of football players playing basketball you could put together a pretty good team but like um i don't know who you know like i think that if it was the other way you know take a bunch of basketball players and put them on the football field you know obviously there will be a couple positions kind of missing and um you know besides receiver and um like i don't maybe dn or you know maybe tied end or quarterback but um i don't know mate you know it's that's my bias opinion um i think that uh i had a friend who said that we we turned a lot of basketball player or we turned a lot of football players into basketball players we're just shopping it up with eric kendrick's here on 105 through the fan cowboys linebacker so it's obviously your first year in dallas you played for a long time in minnesota you're with the chargers at one and two last two weeks didn't exactly go your way about to be too into after you kick the giants ass but have you noticed a difference in just maybe that the vibe around the team the media is a little more challenging anything at all when it comes to distractions with the cowboys compared to other places you know i feel like the the pressure is there obviously i think that it's just you know the pressure is the pressure anywhere you're at um you know i think that it's a little bit more heightened here because you know it is what it is but at the same time like for me you know um like i said i just i just rely on you know what i know and what i what i've been doing i've i've played on teams that you know i've been really successful i've played on teams that you know i've struggled a bit you know like last year and you got to just really lean in on the on the fundamentals of things you know control the controllables and just fight you know so you know i'm a i'm a fighter at heart and uh that's what i'm gonna do well that's why cowboys fans love you already eric now uh final question did you guys have a good uh laugh in the locker room or anything about the uh the jerry jones video there with jamey fox i didn't even i hadn't even seen it am i that unplugged where i just like you might be congrats man you're off socials apparently i mean i'm not off socials but i just kind of like i just like cars and like weird things when i'm off the field um go look it up have you ever seen those videos where it's like how it's made type things or yeah yeah those are my i don't know i just like to see how things are built is it well this things pretty big i'm surprised you didn't see it thanks eric have a great week we'll catch up with you next uh thursday normal time there the eric kendrick show here on your home of the cowboys one oh five three the fan usually thursday's at uh at five five twenty but of course you know i gave the weather report i erred that the game was sunday it's thursday night right here on your home of the cowboys pregame at four right brian pregame at four right oh i'm looking forward to that indeed okay uh i can't imagine erica going in the locker room tomorrow saying hey you guys see this cherry jones video that's got to be worth a laugh or two for sure you probably just do a no comment on that though even if you had seen it i love him though he's great yeah it's pretty amazing huh yeah that's a big win there yeah nice one chief all right time to hit the expressway we go commercial free to the top la live in 23 minutes and we're back in the nation welcome back g back nation it's time to hit the expressway let's go commercial free to the top la lives coming up here in 15 minutes on your home of the cowboys cd lamb quote here from the twitter account of mike leisley wf aa says i mean we got to take it upon ourselves the coaches they've done a job of preparing us for the situation it's on us to execute obviously the thing they can do is game plan for us put us in position line us up tell us where to go what gaps to fill what routes to run to be physical all these other things but at the end of the day when we get between those lines it's on us i like the ownership and accountability there from from cd lamb i think the players just have to be better he did meet with the media for the first time since the loss to baltimore he he did address why he was so frustrated on the sideline and he is the word professional as well just being a professional about the whole situation understanding it's a long game but as for me and my performance i expect a lot out of myself more than anyone could put on me and honestly i failed myself and obviously i failed the team just as far as producing and being that game breaker player for the team and obviously the guy that they can lean on and yeah i kind of let the game get to my head but in the same sense i know what i can do i know what i bring to the table and i know what i can do on that field so with that being said going forward there shall be a difference he said is uh is that what you're mostly frustrated with yourself cd absolutely myself and then my ability to contribute to the offense knowing what i can do uh so that played a huge part and once again can't blame anybody you got to start with the man in the mirror and i'm a huge believer in that i'm watching that game kind of uh ticked me off but i did that you know what i'm saying i can't get mad at anybody else so with that being said i've learned okay that's uh just part of a you know still a young player uh becoming a veteran but also you know it's the frustrations of losing and and and competitive sports will bring it out in people like a parent can be the smoothest talker at work and be great and then you put their kid on on the sports field and they're on the sideline they will lose their stuff you know a player can be you know all sorts of respectful and cordial and shake your hand shirt tucked in i show up to work five minutes really every day i you know i i'm a i'm a clean liver you know i don't need eat any bad food boom a referee messes up a call that they're involved in and the next thing you know they will completely lose their stuff it's you know it's because how obsessed most people are with their place in the pecking order you know and how insecure they are about that and um you know it gets down to some real strong human psychology and when you fail especially in front of others there's this really devastating feeling and it's crazy because it's just a game we know objectively when we're away from the game of the competition we shouldn't take it that seriously but dang it it triggers people more than anything just being in a competitive situation totally totally we you see it all the time uh even sometimes in a good way like oh this guy is so mild mannered and then he gets out there and he's just an absolute savage beast he's just you're what you're watching a different person yeah and uh so it's it's definitely understandable i think the frustrating part is for all of this including specifically the cd and his emotions you just saw it in the playoff game you go on mica's podcast you talk about after that how you need to be better as a leader and controlling your emotions and that sort of thing and then you have the whole off season and then boom we're immediately right here and there's been no improvement with anything it goes for the entire team but also in this isolated scenario as well and for all the superstars where they're complaining their deer in the headlights and your five minutes into a game and all your best players look like they're defeated yeah you know it's it's kind of what luka goes through you know um where you even he when he gets distance from and he's like oh yeah you know i've moved on from it and then boom the very next game it's just right back there front and center and it's it's really unbelievable how that dimension or that part of our personality can take us over so completely and now we're doing things that are definitely not in the best interest of of the team and you know oftentimes applies to the to the best players okay segment here is brought you by window nation and it is brought you by the on time experts around the bases brought you by uber eats rangers baseball tonight eight o'clock pre-game eight thirty seven first pitch it's going to be a vaulty against spent's kamar rocker on thursday by the way that game's going to be on krldam and that is a two o'clock pre-game ranger fans if you want to get all your kamar rocker in okay last week we had the stat that the um the run blocking was really good and the cowboys should be getting like five point three yards per attempt this week we go to the twitter account of brand and lori brandon is right the cowboys offensive line top five and lowest pressure rate allowed this is a stat from uh your friends over there at the 30-13 brian there you go now they're doing a they're doing a really good job up there with uh you know the ravens and the the jets and the chiefs as as far as you know keeping that pocket somewhat clean for for dak but i just think it comes down to lack of weapons lack of running back lack of good skilled receivers um lack of creativity maybe a play caller yes like are we not very good yeah maybe not very good i i you know i you know if you want to get off to a really good start a lot of these coaches have the first 15 i'd like to go back maybe it's a nice little project for me to go look at his first 15 every week you see what we get out of that you get you get everything you can to get your opening drive there was a time when they would drive the ball pretty well you know and score you know taking the ball and stuff but i i don't see that uh what's uh you know and that bothers me because that's you know you need your team to get off to a good especially this team this team seems very fragile at times yeah with the kind of starts it gets off to when somebody just drives the ball on them it like and they score and it's like oh sudden you know you're kind of struggling with that and then you don't drive the ball and you don't get any points out of it that the struggle there i mean they had that this okay they need to look at the first 15 for sure two enforcers we need berry sanders and uh yeah no scheme help i think when you're talent deficient the scheme becomes ultra important and it's put under a magnifying glass in college the the the passing game looked like it got better in the fourth quarter it sure it is when you were when you had receivers that were running on the move you know when they were on the move targets and they're running crossers and things like that and more posts instead of just the ball started going down the field yeah the ball was going and then you know you got your blitz pickup stuff with your backs uh those two backs held up very well in that you got your tied in involved and you and you created opportunities with your outs i've always kind of felt like you know at times deck was too worried about turning it over i wonder if mike scared to death to start the game with this offensive line and open it up like it needs to be opened up yeah it's a very it's not it's it's sideways right it's not a vertical type of offense whatsoever and i mean i don't know we've a deck was definitely forced into some tight wind he didn't have a choice i mean if you felt like every throw when you get there and he's got to let it go and trust his arm and say hey if you pick it off that's fine but we're done yeah there was so much more separation with the routes in the end of the third into the fourth then there wasn't any point time in that and it wasn't prevent defense it wasn't at all like if you go back and look at what the ravens were running it you could say it was you you could go you could go not prevent i do this i look at the metrics and i i trust our next gen stats that the nfl gives to all the teams they had they have they break down the coverages they had zero percent prevent for the ravens in this game zero percent now they had all the other coverages broken down one two six and i'm all broken down prevent zero they were trying they're just bad at finishing game they're bad at finishing games not good and it's a shame that it took three quarters for you to finally be able to show something and execute against them but i do think the pace helps with the time of the rhythm i think that's something they need to move on with you got a lot of more stuff to talk about chief oh i just want to throw in the like the the not trusting your offensive line first 15 plays whatever i was just asking that yeah no well and what was the opponent what did what did we say paltin was got no pass rush they they were struggling to pass rush so it's really not an excuse no particular game you know in that matchup i'm not i'm not using it as an excuse i know i'm just curious to mccarty me personally i saw them blot you know but there were some times where yeah they gave up zach martin wasn't great tyler smith wasn't great at times you know but they picked that up in the fourth they got better at it but i wonder if that's mite mccarty's thought of i got a rookie center and a rookie left tackle you know instead and maybe he looks at now that game at the end the way it ended and it's like okay i can trust these guys i can trust these two guys to hold up and i can maybe maybe think about taking some shots this is a big good opportunity this this secondary it'll give you some opportunities if you can block the front i always say that you block the front yeah yeah you have some opportunities if you can block the front the dalvin cook thing jerry said this morning not the week to do it there with the abbreviated week maybe next time around but that's just reading into it time now for an abbreviated edition of the finest here's the chief yes sir thank you and the five o'clock football hour presented by buffalo wild wings where v dubs is football is uh where we are at right now in the midst of it and it's great to have you in yet looking at the explosive play rate here only four teams worse than the cowboys offensively to uh to start this season uh green bay is actually number one in the uh explosive play rate offensively so hopefully we can get that i mean one of the stats like dax right now leading the nfl in passing yards and if that doesn't like just totally highlight the uselessness of that particular stat you know the passing yards yeah they put up to ten to the fourth quarter my my goodness we did it yeah uh it is that's that's where we're at right now they're they're chasing at the very end and trying to try to cover their rear ends for the awfulness that they displayed there in the uh in the first three quarters of the game now Andy Dalton has an opportunity to do something pretty special here because he's taking on the bangles this week oh his former squad yeah he could get a petty ball and uh he could actually earn it because now he's the one throwing it around for the panthers and he could keep them uh windless here to start the season and there's something a little bit exciting about that now that the bangles bleeped me last night i got no love for him i'm not pulling for him in any way now they might as well lose the rest of the game he's dead to me uh jaden daniel's last night i mean on the run he just he kind of showed a little bit of everything last night yeah he's got a quick release too sure does i mean he's got it all yeah he could could use a little more size on him definitely could use the size and you know sometimes the awareness with taking shots but hopefully you know hopefully he grows into some of that but otherwise throwing on the run he was five for five forty three yards i mean big shots accurate shots and then high leverage late in the game the third and longs fourth downs you know obvious passing situations and he came up big for his squad very very impressive pro football focus has it as the best grade for a quarterback all season long in a game so it's the best best quarterbacking of the year last night from the rookie on monday night football on the road it's looking good their defense sucks though his body language his facial expressions it all says to me i got this guys we're good yeah and that's one of the important things uh from a quarterback yeah i think we call that moxie absolutely my guys got it the moxie yeah their offenses i mean the advanced numbers are like yeah the commander's offenses as good as any offense maybe the best so far in the league buffaloes right there as well but defensively it doesn't get much worse than what the commander's got running around out there so that's going to be a huge problem for them moving forward perhaps dan quin can start to get it together as maybe his guys get more and more familiar with what he wants to do there but uh yeah jane daniels was amazing on the flip side Trevor Lawrence and the jaguars last night looking patently terrible while buffalo is proving everybody wrong as people were doubting them including myself coming into the season this is going to be a down year no josh alan looks as good as ever and Trevor Lawrence looks like he's regressed this is going to be uh the times ticking now on old dug peterson feeling for your guy over there friends are sucking right now you know i'm saying they're all not getting the jobs done well at least your guy shawn patons off a dub you know first yeah that's in a text he was happy about he's like hey thanks but you know he's you know he's you know i haven't said it i haven't been able to text a dug for you know congratulations on a win i mean it's been been a while now i think they're like one in eight i mean they they're in a bad run right now bad run they are in a very bad run i can't get any respect you know he does a nice job in the first son of adversity to like get out of here Doug yeah it's going on with your guy very reminiscent of that eagles tenure yeah right now except you know all my guys are not doing a very good job this is this is like how it started and then how it's going this is a month ago quote uh from shod con the owner of the jacksonville jaguars he says quote winning now is the expectation make no mistake this is the best team assembled by the jacksonville jaguars ever best players best coaches but most importantly let's prove it by winning now that is a month ago when was that quote oh that was the last month yeah i thought that was last night oh very jerry like that's how that's how it started this is this is i said he learned from the best this is how it's going before jaguars owner shod con after his team got absolutely embarrassed last night on monday night football and this is actually a quote from uh the reporter he's shod con says angrier than or someone is saying this of shod con angrier than i've ever seen him he is usually a reserved kind gentleman not tonight so that that's the report on uh on their owner last night pretty upset i mean sixth worst loss in franchise history 37 point margin there yeah not good especially when a month ago your your owner was fired up this is the best team in our franchise's history what you get for disrespecting mark broondell and jimmy smith like that you know what i'm saying yeah or uh what was that other kids name like five five years ago with the jaylin ramsy boardles yes boardles yeah even that squad that squad that defense after the defense was very good time now it's a very church defense right it was time to go into the pimp cup we're lucius has l.a. live yeah reading on a reaction to er kindreds being on the show people love this dude yeah they do yeah people love this they're tuned in for it and it is brought to you by kurig and dr pepper lucius not sure if you need that yeah all right we do now yeah let's get it to a toxic tuesday but i don't you swear it's time Then he pulls pants down there, Dawson. He pulls pants down. The car's grill, that's where he propped him. He mounted the cucumber there. Yeah, that's what he did. Then he went reverse on it. The Washington paper is calling it a cucumber sodomy. Yeah. And looking for this man, what that is. Wow. The self-diddy situation. Self-diddy. It's like self-snitching. Self-diddy. Once the man finished, he lit the cigarette, returned the vegetable to his lunchbox, and just walked on off. They're looking for him. He put it back in there for safe use. Take it back to work at leave. Put it back to work at Subway. I got plans for you later. They even covered it on DC News. Let's go to DC News now. A shocking sight in broad daylight. A shocking sight. A shocking sight in broad daylight. I was so disgusted and freaked out. It was dinner time just after 5.30 Friday when a man with an apparent lunchbox crept into Catherine Baker's driveway. Launched a cucumber in her SUV's grill, checked to see if the coast was clear, and began performing a lewd act. The police report then details what's also quite clear in the video. The suspect chose to keep going, this time in plain view, and even appearing to notice the camera recording the whole thing before putting the vegetable back in the lunchbox and walking away. It was that eye contact that really unsettled me, because it then continues for longer than one would imagine. He got a gun and turned the model over. He was looking at the camera. He settled them. It's too late for me at this point. I got to finish on a lot, lady. God. That's crazy. That's why they looking for him. Imagine telling somebody what you're in for. And then what you're in for? Cucumbers, bro. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. Loot act, you know. What are you doing later? Yeah, that's going to be a bullseye. Wow. You got a little lunchbox. Might as well be a bullseye. Wow stuff. L.A. Love 1053 to fan on the Toxic Tools Day. You guys familiar with Coach JB from Last Chance U? Yeah. This man is toxic. Coach JB is pretty toxic. Now he was the 2017 NJCAA coach of the year. He was the star of Netflix's Last Chance U series. He had a historic Juco-winning streak in 2016. It's been amazing. Other than that, he's super toxic though. Coach Brown got in trouble for texting one of his players. The player just happened to be German. Coach Brown said, "I'm going to be your new funny man with the mustache." I'm not even going to say the fool's name. But he said it and then that's around and got fired. Yeah, that's just dumb. Yeah, he's toxic. He's hella toxic. He's pretty ungrant for him. Yeah, if you follow him, he'll like do coaching breakdowns. He has a chalk and he has a big board up there and everything. But he's also holding a drink on one hand. So he's telling you all of these players what these players should have did, but he's got a drink right here. On one hand, chalking the other. That's coach. Coach Brown, he's hella toxic on a Tuesday. True football guy. Yeah. Yeah. Now, Mel Kuiper, member Mel Kuiper says something about to take the cover tool away or something like that. He is, you high safeties, yeah. Yeah, he's not a fan of Mel Kuiper's take. And so Coach JB jumped on his little old platform and just flim, flam, flam, flam. I'm pretty sure if my dad heard this, he'll send Coach JB a text, I ain't even going to watch him in language. Thanks for nothing. Huskers. So those college Friday night TDs though, you don't get many of those Friday night college big, important TDs like that. Come on. You'll remember them forever though, won't you? Oh, you sure will. The memories ring Bay pick six. I love a good pick six for a TD. Take it away, Packers radio network. Quick throw, right? That's accepted down to the seventh job. You're a tender high stepping hands on touchdown. Childy Alexander and the Packers lead it 16 to seven. I look forward to every week that will Levis pick six TD. That's a fun one, but don't worry. We cleanse the palette with will Levis throwing a touchdown, broadest. Don't worry. Even when he's throwing touchdowns to the other team, he finds ways to throw touchdowns to his own, to a guy. Nick Vannett never met yet. Caleb Williams, his first NFL passing touchdown goes to fellow rookie, Roman Dunes a you catches his first NFL touchdown. I really didn't ever week three, happy for the historic touchdown. Who gets the game ball on that one? Like who gets to take that one home? Is that a coin flip situation? If you're the quarterback, do you have to have that servant leadership that Mark Schlerith was talking about and you acquiesce to your teammate there? No, this one's yours, bro. I do wonder, I think Roman Dune says dad's going to take that one. I think historically it would go to the quarterback and in this situation, if I'm Roman Dune, say I don't have a lot of confidence, there's going to be a lot more for you. So I'm going to let you have this one. Yeah, I'll tell you what, there was a lot of people talking about Caleb Williams having the, the best, like walking into the best case scenario for any number one overall pick ever in Chicago. And boy, does that look like so far from the truth? That offense is tough to watch. Shane Waldron, remember at Super Bowl radio row, it was, it was rock wall zone, Jackson Smith. Yep. I mean, I guess the Kirk cousins gave you some time. You know, horrible. That's awesome. Look, you damn snider. Yeah, seriously, that's the one silver lining to all this commander. Good stuff right now is just Dan Snyder probably like super salty about it. Hate watching them and being like, Oh, no, they're actually legit. Ownership matters. Not a coinky dink. A lot of billions. Well, waiting for you, Jera Bear. A lot of billions. I was waiting for my guy, Joey B last night to get it done. And he was spending it from time to time. Wasn't able to get it done the way we needed to. So survivors going to now see a historical for bet payoffs on Friday, but the bangles radio network gives us bro to chase, even though it doesn't matter. Pero is set, extends the hands. A blitz is coming. He gets rid of the ball going deep. It is. Touchdown, Jamar Chase, his second touchdown catch, his second gritty touchdown pass, number three for burrow. That was a good play. You know, I mentioned five, we might have six because I owe two. We all owe one. Wolchug has Cowboys Thursday night of Giants win. That's a sex tuple. G back nation history is set already on the Quinn. Gosh, dang it. Wow. I didn't even consider that because wall check stone code led pipe lock here. Was a giant. They can't believe yourself over there, Brian. I'm trying to help than me. Just trying to help. Yeah, you're right. Maybe this will help. We both have 49ers. Now we're both sitting here like crap. We're going to do a payoff. I hope you're right. All right. Let's go to Pittsburgh. Shall we just in fields? Holy hell. They're three and owe Steelers radio networks getting ready to party. So now Cordaro Patterson moves right to left across the formation in front of fields back to pass throws over the middle field. It's Calvin Austin. He has a step. Austin heading straight up the middle of the field inside the tent to the five touchdown. Calvin Austin, 55 yards from fields to Austin. Oh, that's sweeter than at Nellie's blueberry pie, baby. Oh my goodness. What did he just say? Sweeter than Aunt Nellie's blueberry pie. Oh, Nellie. He does have the best part. This is stealer radio network. That was the Steelers. That was the. Yeah. Justin Fields, man. Turn in heads. We'll get to talk to them this year. Oh, yeah, you will. Well, Chuck's going to be behind with you with you with them. Well, Chuck's going out there, man. And that's not going to be an easy one. It is. It is cool to see Justin Fields look like a different player. He's not just playing backyard football all the time. He's getting the ball out quickly. He's he's throwing on time, throwing with some anticipation, still bottom of the league and a lot of offensive categories, but you're seeing some improve. He's not being sacked at an inordinate rate. Yeah, yeah. Just don't get sacked. Don't turn it over. We got this. They become the first team in 15 years to add to allow 10 or less in the first three games of the season. 10 points or less. Dude, Mike Tomlin, he strikes again. Yeah. How's he do it? I don't know, man. It's it's very, very impressive. All right. To the Carolina Panthers radio network, the red rifle was ready to rock and roll with the with the chamber fully loaded. He found another old man, Adam Thielen for the TD and an empty set trips to the right. Here's the snap pocket holds and he's throwing downfield. They win. Did he hang out? Touchdown. So much for going for the field ball, right? Hey, I was wrong. What in the water? You could burn a big third down. I was wrong. Didn't know you could convert third downs watching Bryce Young for the last 20 games. Excuse me. I mean, my guy was just my guy was thinking points. Just get the points. Get the points points. It's our first points all year. Even the points. All right. I was wrong. Damn it. Oh well. And yeah, we didn't get the the big man, Tutti. We didn't do that to him for the call, which is not very good. So I did want to play the big man TD last night, but the other Washington commander call, which is so much better. We went with that one. All right. Let's go to Seattle. The Seahawks radio network. They're also surprisingly three and O new head coach, Gino Smith, DK Metcalf, still getting it done with the TV. Gino out of a shotgun Macintosh in the game. And now he swings out to the left side. Gino steps up in the pocket, looks holds, throws deep, got DK open 30, 20, 15, 10, five runs away from Miami touchdown Seahawks, a 71 yarder to DK. Quietly, Gino Smith and company getting it done. Year one, Mike McDonald. I mean, they haven't had to play anybody crazy to this point, but that's a team who's feeling like they could win their division. How crazy with happy Seahawks win the NFC West very much so on the table. Gino Smith's playing some good football. All right. Let's go to Saturday night. Oh my goodness. Primetime, Dion Sanders, Baylor in town, trying to spoil it form after dropping with two second remaining the Hail Mary opportunity redemption time for Shader. Shotgun snap should do a roll. The pocket out to the left looking down field, setting his feet rifles is one towards the end zone. And it just shy. Or did he catch it? It was with shot day Western. He scooped it up. He scooped it off the turf. Holy cow, what a play. I can't believe my eyes in the rain here in Boulder in the front range. The buffaloes with zeros on the clock have made a 31 30 ball game. She tours Sanders has done it again. Buff nation. You've got to be going out of your mind pending the APA team. I'm reaching for the radio actually, dude. Wow. My happen here. Wow. Yeah, it was a lot of word vomit going on there. We need the new guy. It was it was out to buff me or some pattern in there. Oh boy, I can't believe my eyes. Shout to Buff nation. That was an amazing play though. All right, let's get to the San Francisco 49ers. Gary Barnett, who's the former coach. Yeah, the color guy is far worse. Oh, in that booth. So I hope Roger stinks. It is it is a struggle. I've listened to a bunch of Colorado broadcast and it is a struggle with that crew. He did kind of turn into Seth Rogen there two five four. I heard that as well. All right, let's get to Brock Purdy finding his guy, third and Joanne Jennings. Third down. Purdy back. Purdy time. Purdy froze. Don't feel wide open caught. Joanne Jennings has a hat trick in LA. Touchdown. San Fran, Cisco. Yeah. Well, 49ers radio network. You lost the damn game. Yeah, you did. Right. I'm going to teach others pants. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's just on each other's there. I might wear your diaper on my head is what I might do. I'm planning on doing that in your chairs. We'll do whatever you guys want. Yeah, we got to figure that out. But I had to do the Eric Kendrick's. I thought, yeah, some plastic sheeting like you from a paint store. I just let it smell. Maybe some stuff that he five. No, we're just going to do the whole show with that. Yeah, I don't know. We'll chat about it here in just a minute. I did think it was interesting the way the accent came out on the play by play guy there. When he was saying LA, it sounded like he had like a country accent. Oh, he had a little had a little twang to it. Is that one of the other poppas? Pretty solid. Right. Papa. Yeah. Papa. I think. Bob. We get to talk to Bob. It's Thursday night. Yeah, we do. Yeah, man. Tell him hey, hey, welcome, Bob. They're not related. They're not related. Yeah, please say, Bob, Papa. Bring him on. He will. Yeah, be careful. I will. Yeah. Hey, you know what Patrick Mahomes will do. He'll throw a touchdown. She should have been close. Mahomes in the pocket throws it left. Come to you, Smith, sister, handling love for it. Diving touchdown, Kansas City. Welcome back to the chief's kingdom and the end zone. Juju Smith, sister on a 13 yard crosser. It's a two time free agent addition there from the chief. Nobody wanted you to do this time, but come back to boomerang wide receiver. There's somebody's catching touchdowns for the chiefs. Now the chief's radio network's always the best. All right. And then we go to the Tennessee Vols, break in Carter Freeman's Boomer Sooners Arts. It's Nico. I love a lever. Whatever the hell he says it. I don't know. I butchered that. He's thrown into Dante Thornton for a good old Saturday TV. Pick up a 14. Nico back to throw, play fake guns in over the middle again. He got a fan of the 40 line to the 20 to the 10. You can crank up Rocky Top. Touchdown Tennessee, Dante Thornton over the middle. And he had it put right on him by Nico. He didn't even say his last name. He just says, Nico, that's a smart move. And that's a veteran play right there. Yeah. Those guys are those guys are real in Tennessee, man. That was quite the TD. And that was imagine that was throw your controller time there. Throw your remote control time there for Carter Freeman. This might be a playoff team. Very want to worry about it. Shut the locka. Yep. There it is. All the CDs. Thank you guys just heard from a Tolo Vincent long time listener. He's taken the G back nation flag to a Steelers home game and planning to plant it there as he did in 2016 on Sunday night football. Wow. We got a plant there on an extra point, I believe, or maybe it was a field goal. Hell yeah. Couple of texts coming in for brought us. Brought us. Do you remember an old college football announcer Keith Jackson with a signature saying, Oh, yeah. He's into the football foulies too. Great. Well, that's what Wolchuck does when he does the Brett father. That was the Jack Jackson. The eight eight five six. I used to take care of Doug Peterson's lawn. When I lived in Jersey, he says, Brian, he lived in Morris town that year. Yeah. They won the Super Bowl. And he came out with a Super Bowl jacket on and offered to have a beer with me and rub it in my face because he knew I was a diehard cab always fan. He's a great dude though. I hate to see him get fired. Yeah, he's he's on his way. Not fired yet. Jacksonville. Like he's talking winning. He's talking about they had him on today and he's talking about the the whole thing. It's it's no more time for rah rah. No more. No, I've got to go play football. No more rah rah. Yeah. Whatever. Go play more hype. It's time. They've had an up and down season last couple of years. So maybe you know, he's got him right where he wants them. We got we got a run nation, maybe. Chief, where are we going next? Well, we will explain the Eric Kendrick's bet payoff for Friday next year in the nation. Welcome back nation segments brought to you by the Frankel's life's unpredictable accidents happen. Jake is set to rock the house with Fred coming up at seven o'clock. Here's the chief. Classic classic Jake and Fred party, man. Yeah, I'll get buck wild in there. A lot of people are texting in that rules are rules. Did somebody say bf's name? I tried to cut them off. I don't know if that was executed or not. Did I say his name? Did you say his name? I don't think I did. Are guys playing under the weather over here? I think I said he Jackson. Not cool, dude. He does it when we do the Did I say it? I think we got some of the club chuck. This is hungry for the Crimson Tiger, Brian. There we go. Mama gave me a little flop checks and mama take away five of them flop checks. I want to stay home. Nice work. Well, Chuck. Yeah, now we're we're hoping that I mean, well, Chuck, what do you probably question we'll go into the game on Thursday night? I mean, I mean, injury report says questionable. I'm considering myself problem. That's a long day. That's gonna be a long day for us. I think I think well, two to one for us. Well, Chuck, well, Chuck needs to punt on the the two hour pre pre and he just needs to get IVs. It's game day. You know what I mean? Like skip the walk through and just show up when it's time for the when the lights come on. And I think that's what he should do. But what what do I know? You know what I mean? I'm not okay. You know, I asked for the I asked for those splits. Well, not splits, but I asked about the first 15 from McCarthy. Yeah, check out if you follow me on Twitter, though, I should probably send to you, Dawson, you put it on the the site. But Bobby did the splits for me on the Bobby did the splits for you. The splits of the very accommodating side to side or front to back. Front to back. Yeah, the flexibility on that guy with a hoodie on even. Yeah. But the thing about it. Yeah. So if you check out, he followed me on Twitter, I need to send that to you. But actually they're a better team in the first 15 than they are played 16 plus. So if you're just disparaging really bad team, then this is not good. Doesn't it feel like though? It's not they don't get off to great starts. Well, feel like that. I would say they're there. Their net yards per play are better in the after 15, but their completion percentage is certainly better in the first 15 because they're probably throwing the ball like one yard at a time in those first 15 plays. I just kind of yards per attempt was up a little bit higher when they run their yards per attempt is 4.1 yards in their opening script. And then the rest of the time, it's 3.4 yards per attempt. So they're getting worse running the football as the game goes on, which is usually not how it works. Yeah. Usually you like get a little bit better. Strange. I thought I thought that I thought the first 15 were not as good as we've seen. So they are establishing the run, but then it's fading. Then it's fading. Yeah. Unbelievable. Yeah. Well, and even then it's hard to say they're establishing the run because their success rates are so bad. So it's 4.1 yards per attempt, but the success rates are awful. So it's like when they hand Zeke the ball on third and 14 for a draw and he gets eight yards. It's eight yards, but it's a useless eight yards. So I'm sure Bobby will have a little bit more deep dive looking at that, but I do see the chart here that you have retweeted. Yeah. Yeah. It's interesting. I mean, but it's been, it's been, I just was trying to figure out because to me, really stale, doesn't it? Is it just the last two weeks? Is it more than that? I mean, or is it three weeks that I think this offense for the since the start of the season looks pretty similar to the offense you saw to start last season, which was stale as all hell and very much, we're trying to play three to five yards at a time. We have no explosives, no creativity, no nuance from a coaching and conceptual standpoint. We're not really going to be helping our players really in any way. And yeah, you see what the results are, not good. Then they flipped it. And then by the end of the season, defense is caught on, but it was a really fun seven or eight weeks where the offense looked a little bit more like a new age offense. And then again, defense has found the solutions to beat it. And then you've had no counter punches since. And it seems like you've actually regressed. So it's, it's, it's a really troubling situation here as it pertains to the Cowboys offense. Now Eric Kendrick's was on with us earlier. He did admit to us that he will pee his pants while playing football games from time to time. So we're trying to figure out, we all have bet payoffs to do. I have the one for Southern, Southern leisure spot next week in the, in the cold plunge going full Jim Harbaugh with khakis in the belt and the tucked in college shirt or whatever. But that's next week, you know, we're talking about right now, we're trying, we're trying to grow, go one and no this week. But unfortunately we all went 0 and one. And so we have a quad bet payoff that could turn into five or six bet payoffs by Friday. And I think me and wall chucker are going to do the Eric Kendrick's peer pants at work. Wow. That's vulgar and disgusting. It's sitting his chairs and like, sitting the chairs, probably need some plastic wrap. Yeah, I'll probably bring a couple of problems at all the time. I mean, yeah, why am I making this wear damn diaper? I definitely would not want to be sitting in the chair that you guys peed your pants in ever again. Do you got to pee your pants? Can't be diaper pants? No, pants. You got to pee your pants, unless you just want to be wearing the diaper as pants and you're not wearing because you're wearing the diaper. Okay, so the Cowboys lose, I go diaper for the whole show and then also pee in the diaper. The only problem is to be fair is we can't like, if I'm peeing my pants, you can see that I've peed my pants. If you're in the diaper, I can't really see the heat in the diaper. You could balls that fair, fair, fair. You know, I'm just trying to avoid it. Just say, I did appreciate trying to get two for one type of time. Is it turn colors when you pee? Do that? That's right. Like the parents know. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah, the blue. Yeah, there's that blue line. They had it for the adults though. Do they? I don't know, man. I guess the course light cans brought us do they? The ones I have. No, no, they don't know. So perhaps we, we just do you get brown, when you go in, you get brown ones. You and you get brown in the back. Yeah, whatever. It's just pure pads. Do you guys have any any thoughts here on what you guys want to do payoff wise? I mean, I definitely want to get wall chucked to do the the nitro gummy. I definitely would like to get wall chucked. If you ordered another one, I'd do another one of those. Really? Okay. I'd absolutely. Let me see what the turnaround time is if we can get those here with minimum one minute hard chewing. Yeah, like you got to have it's got to be a real chew. It's got to be a real chew this time. I broke that thing in half there. Cheers. You know, no, I believe you. I broke that. Dawson was watching me chew. It was good. It was good. There just were no ground rules, you know, and I think to be even more convincing for the audience, we got a ground rule. If you want to get one that's hotter than what you try to give me the other day, that's fine too. I think, you know, pin the tail on the donkey would be interesting if you could staple things to me, you know, okay. If you know, if that sounds to your skin, yeah, wow, right in my butt that feels like your butt. Yeah, staple things to my butt. You know, there's the Mr. Misty, the spray bottle thing that we could still get to that we didn't get to last week because I didn't want to damage the equipment equipment. Yeah, we were worried about that. Yeah, not worried about the equipment in here. Not at all. No, no, we back off the mic. We don't need this place. Yeah. There's no need. I could take my headphones off. That's true. That's true. I can get sprayed. Well, I do think that one's a fun one. We'll have to figure out exactly what we want to do across the board here. But it looks like me and Walter are probably just going to pee our pants on the air together. I think I do have some puppy pads, by the way, we could put some puppy pads down. Oh, that's a good idea. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. The two, one, four had that. We're doing it for Corey Shaker football or ball sack here. Ball sack. The Miami Dolphins quarterback situation. So dire. They have sent out a just a message to everyone. If you own a Miami Dolphins jersey and have thrown a football with a spiral at least once in your life, please show up to practice at Baptist health training complex this Wednesday at nine a.m. for tryouts. That's ball sacking right. That's from dolphins double. Yeah. Ball sack. I'm going to say that's football. Yeah. Well, Chuck's right, dude. That's real. They're pulling out all the stops here. No, they're not just kidding. I actually am seeing people connecting Russell Wilson in a trade now that Justin Fields has sort of established himself enough. And Russell Wilson is as cheap as it gets financially. The dolphins could assume his contract very, very easily. The Broncos are still paying him. Most of his stuff there. And the Dolphins quarterback coach is Daryl Bevel, who was the OC in Seattle during at least a handful of those Legion of boom years. And he's got that concussion water that he could give the toa to help protect his brain. Remember that? Yes. You're right. Dude. Look at this man. It's a home run. This is one of those things where from every angle, it just makes sense. We have to make this happen. Would you would you think that Russell Wilson could have success with that coach, that system? It's it's weird. The way they run the ball, or I guess they have it run. I guess Dallas is ahead of them in the running game, right? Didn't we learn the other day that dolphins really aren't running the ball all the way? Well, the dolphin is a Chan healthy, right? They're doing nothing well, but they're running game would give you hope if you had to play with Russell Wilson, right? Yeah, it's just hard to say because nobody, everybody that is not toa who's tried to play quarterback in this offense for Mike McDaniel has been really, really bad. So you would think Russell Wilson is veteran enough to maybe could he do the Andy Dalton thing? He steps in and he's just competent. And so they can get some games down here. Trade for trail. No, but that that could be that could be an interesting one there. Russell Wilson getting traded Miami there, their quarterback situation is just, I mean, it's an injury. Omen speaking of bad injuries. I mean, Austin Echler dealing with a concussion right now, but you also apparently suffered a laceration in his ear. According to John Kime, how do you even happen in your ear? Maybe it was a typo and he meant say on his ear, but I'm like, because the concussion, he took a helmet into the ear. He got literally ear-hold. Yeah, he got ear-hold. Yeah. Yeah. That's the inner ear laceration feels like one of the more insane ones. Honestly, I was thinking about Kyle Van Noy, who's just dominating folks it feels like. Didn't he break his face in week one? Yeah, he did. Didn't you have the NFL News of the day, orbital bone fracture? Yeah. And he's he's sacking my quarterback now a week later. I did think it was weird to see about there. That's that's crazy, man. That really is a one seven. How about tattooing the team's logo that you lost with for payoff? So I took the Raiders and the Ravens. I'm sitting on two. I there's no way I could get a Raiders tattoo. You know, that would. I'm not used to talent. Let's say you won't get a job every day. Yeah. Oh, what team is that? Oh, Raiders? We're good. Yeah. Thank you, but no, thank you. You're good here. Well, I like the idea though. I mean, that's it. That's pretty. That's pretty nuts. I might get I would get like a like a raven without the purple and the Maryland shield thing. Yeah, y'all should do that for the rest of the season. So you walk around. Look like those old NBA jackets with all the logos. It's the opposite of like, you know, stickers on your helmet. Guys, it's for doing good things. Our markings are for all of our mistakes at this rate. I would have half the league for crying out loud. Somebody help me. This is brutal. Yeah. I am looking forward to seeing if the train continues for brought us here, a historical O and three start in the back nation survivor. Maybe we get missed out fire surprise on Friday. That would be pretty fantastic. I'd be here for it. I did see the quotes from Baker Mayfield about Tom Brady. He was on the Casa de Clue podcast and he was saying how him and Tom Brady have very different personalities. He replaced Brady in Tampa. He says the building was a little bit different with Tom in there. Obviously playing wise, Tom is different. He had everybody dialed in high strung environment. So I think everybody was pretty stressed out. They wanted me to come in be myself, bring the joy back to football for guys who weren't having as much fun. He says you hear some of the stories about if he didn't like a certain play call. Tom, he if he didn't like it, he would just throw out throughout the week and or if he didn't like it throughout the week and they still call it in the game, there might have been a throw away on purpose or throwing it at the running back or receivers feet. There were a lot of mind games going on. So if Brady didn't like a particular play call that Bruce Arians was trying to run and he hated it all throughout the week, then on game day, he would just intentionally screw up the pass force and in completion. Those are all the allegations there from Baker Mayfield who I'm sure has gotten plenty of tea spilled to him in the wake of Tom Brady, which it sounds like the Buccaneers is being extremely ungrateful. I mean, the only time that your franchise has been relevant in the last 24 years is when that dude was your quarterback. It seemed like you're having a pretty good time. That parade, not going to lie. Yeah, I didn't seem too high strung and stressed out that day when you go for your round and awesome little parties over the Bay Tampa Bay. I mean, my gosh, that's ridiculous. Okay, we do have a couple of baseball things here. I have some sound I want to play for you guys, but I also just want to acknowledge bleep hole of the week in sports goes to the entire pirates organization. Did you see what they did to a guy named Rowdy Piper? Rowdy Seymour Rowdy to Les. Oh, right. Oh, yeah. He was through a bonus and he got DFA with six games left in the season because he gets a $200,000 bonus if he reaches 425 plate appearances. That's cheap. He has 421 currently. Oh, so it was inevitable. He was going to get 425 plate appearances and get an extra $200,000. The pirates are like, no, we're super cheap. And on that same note, let's go to Philadelphia where the fans are excited. They've won the NLE. Ladies and gentlemen, 13 years we've waited for this. I've gotten married and divorced and had two kids. Thank you, ABC six in Philadelphia. That is a grown man right there into the local news camera, giving us a little bit too much information. I don't know if it was exactly in that order, married divorced and then had two kids, but either way, a lot's happened and he's pretty psyched. They haven't won that division in 15 years, 13, 13 years, 13 years we've waited for this. I've gotten married and divorced and had two kids. And he said it with like some pride in his voice. That was a full life. Thank you, chief. Yes, sir. We got to run the fan after dark with a historic debut coming up next right here. It's the G bag nation on 105 three, the fan. It's the first non-weekend non-holiday appearance on the fan. Well, congratulations. Hey, dude. Okay, big time. Good evening, Jake. And you join us from you've been in DFW for a year now, right? You're originally from the Detroit area. Yes, and we're a Sandler. Yeah, yeah. So a little full circle moment with Jared at globe life the other day. So I was Jared's intern 12 years ago. Wow. And then Saturday, we were on the air together. So he still introduces me as his intern, which is I do the same thing with John Snyder, who's the GM with the Seattle Seahawks. Yeah, John was my intern. And I say, yeah, yeah, this is my three and a half million dollar intern. And he's always like, oh, yeah, you're funny. And I'm like, ah, you were, you're my intern. He goes, yeah, you're right. Yeah. How long until you lose? You just never lose that that time. Never lose that. Never lose that. Look what has done for Monica Lewinsky. You know, it's got its moments. Yeah, it does. You got to know when to hold it and when to let it go. I guess. No, when to hold it. Right on. Well, what are you going to walk away? What do you guys have planned for this evening show? It's blank and you miss it radio. I mean, we got an hour. All right. So two segments. We'll talk some cowboys. I'm gonna pal Fati's from last night that I mean, I teased it twice and just never got around to it. So what happened? Yeah, I've been having fun. Been there before. Well, I mean, hey, you know, we had Nick Harris on. So I was locked in as to we got to keep this thing brief, concise, concise, concise. And he had that big day, right? Because obviously Mike McCarthy, you know, sold it in front of everybody. And so we asked him how that felt. And he was cool about it. And so he wasn't all dramatic about it. He wasn't at all. He really wasn't. You almost wondered, did we make a bigger deal about it? Yeah, he and I wrote the hell out of Mike McCarthy right there. Oh, he absolutely did. And well, he said that he goes, look, I've spilled thousands of words on on Mike. I'm not going to let, you know, what happened today, you know, in what's been a good friendship. And he tweeted out today that, you know, it's water in the bridge, apparently, you know, and look, let's call it what it is. Mike's Mike's it's a rough day for him. It's rough. He's having a rough week. And it's having a rough day. But it's funny because Nick was talking about the way he formed his question. He said that he kind of took Mike's answer. Yeah. And made it into a question is what he did. So he's actually repeating his answer back to him in the form of a question. Yeah. And that's where, and then all of a sudden he's like, Oh, you practice that. No, I just am repeating your question back to you, try and get some, you know, get an answer to me to you. Yeah, it was weird. I felt like that since he went after Jane Slater, like five years ago, his first season and Jane and Jane was right. Yeah, you know, and everything Jane said and reported at the time was absolutely correct. So yeah, I just it's one of those things just like, you know, the players that when you go through it losses like this, especially with the expectations and, you know, they'd assured everybody this is fine. You know, I don't know what the median fans are talking about. We're clearly an amazing team. You know, we're still in contention and then to fall so completely on their face in a way that's undeniable. It has to be embarrassing. And he lashed out. There's that. And then of course, and we'll get, we're going to touch on this, you know, for a segment or two. I mean, this is a damned if you do damned if you don't type a game on Thursday, right? I mean, it's one of those, you're supposed to beat the Giants. So you won't, right? So if you beat them on Thursday, it's really, we're going to measure style points. Okay, how'd you look? And if you barely beat them, then it's then it's really going to be panic. And God forbid, if they lose on Thursday, it could happen though. Oh, I think it's totally within the role. Thursday night footballs, too, just has such a tendency to be ugly at times. I mean, with such a quick turnaround, you know, you could play it. It's good that it's a quick turnaround. So you don't have to talk about the mess from Sunday very long. I mean, Dak has so thoroughly owned the Giants and his 10 or 11 games or whatever that he's played against them. I mean, so many 40 point games, so many blowouts. If you can't handle them, that will inform so much about how much you have fallen in such a short period of time. And, you know, I know Brodas is already, you know, he's on the record already picking the Giants. Moneyline. You're taking giants in the money line. I picked the Giants to win 2623 straight up. So real quick, if you're in a course, I guess Caitlyn Carson may not play Thursday. They're saying that the Booth kid is a some reps, right? Right. Right. Are you taking Trayvon Diggs and having him follow Malik neighbors? Eric, would you like to answer that question for me? Well, it jeopardizes everybody else's role in the back end when you do that. And so you have to be a little hesitant because Carson is a rookie and it could be a lot to ask. But if Carson's not going to play, maybe that's added more incentive to do it. I'm I'm on you travel when you travel. Yeah. When that when that when they say they neighbors runs motion. Yeah. And he takes it across the formation that changes everybody else's responsibility in the secondary. When that happens. So usually movement is what you know, you have to have I think you have to have a veteran secondary to do it. But yeah, it's it's it's something I don't think that Mike really wants to do. All righty. Well, here that comes fan after dark for one hour. And then you'll have Rangers pregame coming up at eight first pitch eight 37 as they're in Oakland.
