General at your service at ease, there's a broadest of former Cowboys scout and a fell executive. Hardest working man in Cowboys media, he's already broken the film, and he'll have all the details here for you throughout the broadcast. Lucius Alexander was in the Pimp cup master control here, 75 and fits you, keeping the Gators down best he can. He'll probably go flawless here over the next five course. We'll check and she a follower in the house, gentlemen. And Carter Freeman's coordinating your video, you can watch us at 1052defan.com Twitch and YouTube. How the hell are we, boys? - Man, you know, we're struggle busting a little bit, aren't we? I mean, you said, brought us broke the film already. I think the film might have broken him. Yes. - No, man, we were good. I had Raven's 28, Cowboys 23. - Yeah. - You know? - No doubt. - You saw it coming, I come with you. - This was, this was what it was. - Was it bad? - Yeah. - Yeah, I know, I mean, you just kind of knew that going into the game, they were gonna have some problems with the run game, and then the quarterback was gonna be a difficult guy to deal with. And, you know, and say Flowers is gonna make plays. I mean, they've, that's a good football team. AFC Champions last year, know they got beat by the Ravens and the Chiefs, but that's a good football team you had to deal with right there. - I'm just glad Dak played so well. You know, you can't, you can't cherry pick when you get the stats. - Gotta put on a show. - You gave him a chance, man. - The fourth quarter. - The defense just once again, you know, not up to the task. - Man, you gotta make some plays offensively though in that first half though. - Oh, man. - Oh, man. - Wait, the first recording them out. - How about it? - Did they matter? I didn't, I didn't know that. - I tell you what, man. You gotta, you gotta make some plays. If you're gonna get some things blocked up, you gotta make some throws. You gotta make some catches. Can't pout about it, you know? Ball, you gotta, if you're running routes, you can't fall down, you know? All kinds of things going on in this one offensively for you. - Yeah, including 379 yards and two touchdowns. You know? - Your quarterback. - For Mr. Prescott, and I, I don't know. You know, I, I agree with you guys. - Could have had a better day than that. - I was just, you know, I was just told back in the day when I would, you know, style point Dak Prescott that you can't be picky about when the stats come. That's what his staunchest defenders would say. I, I think right now he's, you know, he's, he's, he's fighting uphill battle here with the supporting cast, the running game. And, you know, CD lamb, Jake Ferguson, I think pretty good weapons, but defending, depending so much on turn. - 100 lip keys, you're, 100 lip keys, probably your best weapon. - There ain't no question about that. - Yeah. - 100 lip key can make some plays now. - Hey. - I'm crazy to say. - Hey, man. - I'm gonna put some respect on that man's name because that's a ball player. - Yeah, you should. I mean, he beat Kyle Hamilton, made an outstanding catch on the sideline. But if we're talking best weapon on the team, guys, come on, it is Brandon Aubrey. - No question. - Might be the best player. How about that onside kick, man? - That was legendary, dude. This guy's a talent. - I'll tell you what, then. - You put a soccer player in charge. - Fourth and 14. - See what happens. - Fourth and 14, he goes for it. She kicked a field goal there. - Shouldn't kick the field goal. - 58 yards? - Yeah, absolutely. - Yeah, I think you went 65. You didn't want to do 58. - Well, I was just wondering though, like to me though, if you look at, is it one of those things where if he kicked the field goal or was he hunting momentum? You know, was the head coach hunting momentum there? You know, when it was that, you know, I mean, they, you had to play, that was the play that ended up where cooks had to interfere because Martin got pushed back in. And you know, and next thing you know, the ball's fluttering down the field kind of a thing. - It was bad play. - You wonder if at fourth and 14 or whatever it was that you maybe kicked the field goal there and go play defense, which you haven't really played. - I mean, there was, at least they had a couple stops in the first time. - I'm telling you this though. They got off the field more against these guys than they did the Saints. - Hey, no question about it, dude. - I mean, I mean, okay, that's progress, but. - No, it's still terrible. - But yeah, but still to me, you wonder, I mean, I was curious about going for the twos, you know? 'Cause I think that- - Questioning those. - Yeah, the next gen people said the first going for two was about a 37% you're right for going for two. The second one was only like a think about 12, the percent on that. - I would go more conservative if I'm Mike McCarthy with this team 'cause I have no faith in our ability to run short yardage to be physical anywhere. Like I'm kicking field goals on fourth and 14. I'm not going for two with this team. You know, you- - Well, if you have two point plays, I wouldn't go for two. Sprint right option was a really good play for the 49ers in 1985, you know, when Jerry Rice was running and- - Hey. - And nobody had known that, oh wow, Joe Montana could sprint to the right and you could throw it to the corner and nobody's going to cover this guy. - Yeah. - Need better coaches, need better players. - Revolutionary. - I'll tell you what, that's, yeah. When I saw that one happen, I'm saying, oh, that's it. Sprint the guy out there and then give the quarterback no room to throw the ball. That's all he deals. That's probably par for the course 'cause all he ever deals with is tight window throws. So it's probably right down the lane for him. - You don't have to worry about like toning it down. The offense, that's kind of McCarthy's playbook. - Yeah. - It's just a bag of ass. - It's plenty toned down. - You just, I keep trying to figure this out myself and I know this is a lot of Mike McCarthy but everybody also wants to say this is DAX offense, this is DAX offense. How many times have I heard this is DAX offense? - Oh no, your quarterback wasn't good enough in a lot of ways the other day. - But just specifically on what it is that you're doing. - I call him your quarterback. He's not your quarterback 'cause you didn't want nothing to do with him. - Well, I mean, that's putting a little bit higher. - I mean, I don't want to give him $60 million a year. - You're right. - You're not a fan of his, so. - I'm not a fan of giving him $60 million. To say I'm not a fan of his, this is an overstatement, just for the record. - Okay. - Just for the record. - He is a good quarterback, but I'm not gonna pay him $60 million to do this kind of stuff here. - Oh, I was just, I, you're just not worth it. - No, you're looking right, you're looking right. - I'm trying to figure out in terms of what they're doing, like right there in your scripted plays, you're just going immediately to the running back at the line of scrimmage for no gain. Like that is your play. Your first, in the progression, your first read is to throw it to the running back who's slower than hell for a line of scrimmage. Now we just immediately, let's go to second and nine. - Yeah, he, they tried. - That's in your scripted plays. Why are we doing that? - They tried to run all hook and stuff. - So many curls. - They had the curls. - With the Brandon Cooks. See the, the route short of the sticks. I mean, it's a tremendous coverage. So you didn't have a chance on it anyway, but it is bizarre. And we talked about this with Brad in the post game. And Brad was like, it does feel pretty much deja vu to what you saw on the offense until the bi-week last year. I don't know. Dak supposedly got command of this thing at the bi-week. And that's why things were fixed. Is he not anymore? Is he? Did things just get figured out? I don't know. But that offense is putrid. - Your play call is in a rut. Big time. I mean, he is, like I said, they found something though in that third, into the third, after the midfield gold and then into the fourth, they found a little bit of some things. You know, the blocking was good, that the, you know, the blitz pickups were really good. You know, you got some prossers and they, and they started picking on some guys they needed to pick on the whole game. You know, that, to me, I just never understand how you watch tape of a team and see bad players out there playing for somebody and don't try and take advantage of them. I just, I never, I never understand. Oh yeah, let's throw the ball at Marlon Humphrey when we got this other guy over here that can't cover. - Did Baltimore soften their coverages or anything? - No, hell no. - It's the same looks. - Same looks. Same looks, you know, they just couldn't get anybody home on the rut. They tried, we've talked about this Baltimore's a team that will give the game back to you. They will, they will let you, they'll let you come back into a game. - They almost did. - And they, they just like, hey, you know, all right, we'll, oh, on sidekick, sure, we won't recover it. You know, they'll do things, they'll do stupid things along the way to let you get back in the game. And then all of a sudden, it's like, oh wait a minute, we have a chance to get a stop here and the quarterback says, uh, not today, you know? - Two and four says the real story is Jerry is spiraling. See, I don't think he is. I think Jerry's just trying to sell as many fans that are willing to buy it, that this team is still talented. You know, I think that's just his response to it. But Steven has had a much more realistic response. And I think that's, you know, how the organization looks at it is this is a young team that's going through a rebuilding situation, we're so inexperienced in certain spots, and we are in cap hell. So we can't throw money at fixing our problems as much as we would like to. - Yeah. - So we're foolish with not giving Derek Henry $8 million a year instead of spreading that $8 million around to a bunch of guys that can't play at all, you know? But right now I feel like Jerry is just buying time and trying to keep this team with his words as relevant as possible while they go through a difficult deal. Like Steven was on today, they're up against the cap, they just gave Dak 60 and they're in the process of still paying off $45 million from his last contract. You know, that's just like the financial reality of this organization is they're not in a spot right now where they can push their chips in and try to win. Like when Jerry Jones said I'm all in, he kind of was in a way that they've spent all of the cap plus an additional 20%. They're spending like 20% over the cap trying to keep this group together. And, you know, that goes back to cap management and, you know, resource allocation, things like this, but they're not in a spot where they could break out a credit card and their priorities. Mike Parsons, that's their priority now. Yeah, anything else that you're thinking about is not don't think about it. It's trying to get Mike apart doing it. It's like all your, all the guys you're paying, they were all bad yesterday. Yeah. Like, and like how do you watch that game and even want to save anything for, for Micah? It's like, I'd rather trade you and get something for you. That's all excuses. It's, it's the Jones, Jerry's fault. Jerry needs to own this. All the crap with them being in, you know, salary, cap, hell, that's their fault. They don't, they don't structure contracts well. They wait to the last minute to do it. What has Micah Parsons done to realistically already? We know we're paying him. We're gonna be, he's gonna be the best defense player in football. Has, have you seen him the last two weeks? Have you noticed Micah Parsons? No, no. In the playoffs, right? You want to crap on the quarterback? Four playoff games for Micah. What's he done? Earn it, earn it. Go out there and play well this year. He doesn't have to. He knows I'm, I'm here. I'm gonna get paid. I'm gonna get my money. It doesn't matter. And they're not building to improve the team this year, like a win now team that gives a damn. Why? We're allocating that money for Micah already. Well, how do you know you really should pay him yet? Maybe you go out there and see a little bit more on the football field before you just make that assessment. And then what they'll do is they'll still wait to the last minute to do it. And they'll use the salary cap as an excuse. Fans aren't stupid anymore. The numbers are out there over the cap. You can't BS people with the cap numbers. That's right. If you want to make stuff work, you can do it. Every team does it. Just flipping switches left and right. This team never has cap space. They probably need to figure out why is that? Because you're just gonna be drafted well and they got to pay these players. Well, they also make bad re-signing decisions, right? You can't do it every year. The cap does exist. They don't have to do it. At some point in a five or six year window, you have to reset it, reset it. You have to reset it. Hey, that's great. But then don't BS and say you're all in. Just be honest. And say in those years when you're not. Those are words he wants back for sure. In the years where you're supposed to be going for it. But he doubled down on it too. You actually have to go for it. You can't just have still glaring holes. So last year was it go for it year? Like you didn't get anything. And you still have glaring holes on your roster? Well, it's kind of semantics. Like we're tapped out. We can't spend anymore. And you have 45 due for DAC, right? In a way that is all in, you know? Could you pay the quarterback? Not in a good way. Well, yes, because you paid the quarterback, right? And you know, I think that's what this comes down to, is should they have blown this thing up, right? Should you continue building around this core? And I think the answer is, you know, it's not a definitive. You should blow this up. There's a lot of good going on. But Mikey can't do it all himself. And what Mikey is not good at is playing against a physical front that has a good running quarterback. He has never been good at that. He is amazing when you're playing with a lead. He doesn't have a ton of help. He doesn't have a defense. I mean, I think Osudigizu is a solid player, but he doesn't have somebody in the middle that's like, okay, I'm a difference maker. I'm drawing that attention, right? That would probably help him. Demarcus Lawrence, any time you watch him, I'm just watching the condensed game. I don't have access to the L22 yet. Always hustling his ass off. I mean, Demarcus Lawrence is chasing place 30, 40 yards downfield. That dude gives a damn. Might be his last year, right? Offensively, you're playing two rookies. You're going to go through growing pains. Karen Steele isn't any good. He's not a good right tackle in the NFL. He's not. You paid him, right? Bad decision. Zach Norton, no longer an elite player, serviceable, can still get it done. Tyler Smith, he also has given up some plays. Yeah, I agree with that. We were elevated. Tyler's right. So your personal isn't good enough. It's not. And the same problems that you had last year, when it comes to you can't stop the run, that's what's got you beat against Green Bay. And all your big losses last year, same damn story, you didn't correct it. You waited until the last damn minute when you showed up to training camp and you realized, ooh, this really isn't good. You knew it wasn't good. You should have known in March, it wasn't good. So let's sign. Oh, I don't know who's out there right now. Linville Joseph, nobody wanted him. Jordan Phillips, nobody wanted him. All right, here's Carlos Watkins because we need bodies. Keep throwing darts out there. Hey, you spent a first round pick on Mazi. I'm happy you did that. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked out. But when you go shopping at the Dollar Tree, this is what you're going to get. You'll have to spend some damn money in actual free agency, bringing a serviceable player that can actually be a starter. Not just like, oh, I were throwing bodies at this, paying league minimum for guys. Could you be in cheap? Yeah, my kids are still at the age where the Dollar Tree just kicks a ton of hands. Oh, yeah, yes. I'm like, I'm not looking forward to the level up. I think it's unfair. I think you had a good rant there, but I think using the dollar store was unfair to them. Hey, no, but it was it was apropos. It's just a, it's a, I'm not an expensive store, Brian. I'm, I feel like you're kind of venting here because the, the tollos kind of got under your skin last night, didn't they? Ah, yeah, I mean, doing over there. That's always going to happen. I'm just probing, just wondering. Honestly, I'm reflecting on this. It's not even worth arguing about any players. Zach, don't do this. The issue in the blame lies at the top. Zach, don't do this. It's cheery. Oh, okay. I was a little worried there. Close call, huh? Yeah, it was a little nerve wracking. Like the way he just dialed it right back in. Rangers will be off tonight in Oakland tomorrow. Could be a Valdez final start. Bradford on Wednesday. Rocker Thursday. In a day game, it's slated for 237. That'll be on the KRLD AM. KRLD on, on Thursday, because of course, we'll have Cowboys and Giants with you. Great chance to get back to 500. Yeah, hopefully, hopefully. They almost win. They might all of a sudden put in the read option up there. Hey, this dude, it was deer in the headlights. Oh, forget Lamar. Lamar can run the football. I'll tell you what, man, it's. They had no plan for Lamar Jackson to do a zone read. They just didn't. It didn't look like they had a plan. You'll tell me something different. It's something. No, I didn't look near the headlights. I will say this though to me. Like I just, I wonder where fill players happen. And when you're playing against, you know, when you're playing against run, you're playing the run, I wonder your responsibilities of like, okay, if you, if we're going to take an inside charge here, who's the fill players? It's supposed to be a linebacker. It's supposed to be a safety. Mike, it just freezes. Yeah. Like the quarterback or the one where he's like, I'll find a way to go. He's a crash player. And then he's an upfield player. And it seems like either way that he goes, they don't have a really great answer. We have the G bag of the day coming up at 2 30. Coming up next though. Walchuck. Yeah, we've got NFL week three over reactions. Play along with us. True or fart. That's next in the nation. Welcome back, G back nation. Hope you're having a great day. It's time now for some week three NFL, true or fart. I don't know. Is it true? The Steelers are looking good at 10 or less in three straight games. That's a winning formula. I've ever seen it. Okay. G back of the day is coming up here at about seven minutes. Segments brought you by the Frankles. Life's unpredictable accidents happen. If you're hurt in an accident due to somebody's negligence, call the Frankles for a free consultation. Two, one, four or eight, one, seven, three, three, three, three, 33, 33. Go online to franklefirm.com. Here's Walchuck. All righty. We've got over reactions week three in the NFL season. Oh, what a weekend it was. Thanks a lot, San Francisco. You can yo bleep yourself. My oh my oh, it's going to wait to hear from you gentlemen. Oh, three in a row for me. Yeah. I showed the guys at Dallas Cowboys calm this morning. I might have to show up as Mrs. Doubtfire for the Friday show. You are on a historic run of incompetence. It's amazing. I watched the I was considering two games last week. And at the end, I pulled off the game I wanted to do, which was Cleveland, New York. I lost that one in the early game. And then in the late game, I lost the one I went to, which was Raiders against Carolina. You needed to get to plan C if you were going to find any sort of success this week. I was thinking I was so smart at about three o'clock. Like, yeah, that's right. Pivot. Yep. Good pivot. Oh, it didn't work. But yeah, that's we'll see what happens with the with the bangles tonight. I think they're probably going to get the win. I never know. So dude, I'm not feeling good about this. This feels like an ominous sort of week here in season to be quite frank. Second week in a row, five or more very significant upsets. Yeah. Well, and it sucks even worse for Dawson because he still has to make up for his non payoff on Friday. So he's now sitting to to in the holster there. Dosh, dang it. Yeah, true or far. We're all idiots. I think true on that one. All right, take it away. Robert Flores. All right. We've moved to the red zone as far as the running back conversation goes here on this sports center fantasy draft special. True or far false? March on Lynch matches last year's production. All right. Cowboys one and two, by the way, I'm going to lock in my survivor pick now. It's the Cowboys and the Giants on Thursday. Taking the Cowboys, they're my pick for this week must win. There's no way they lose. They own the Giants wall chuck the all-unlusable game. I mean, I guess that's I never heard of it. I should not say that there's absolutely ways they could lose, but Dak is traditionally great against the Giants. I think they're going to go in there and smack them. That's what they do. Giants aren't a good team. They'll beat the bad teams. Two touchdowns, three touchdowns, maybe Malik neighbors. Who's a ball at? Okay. All right. So let me have a new runner. Another number 26, Devin Singletary. Yeah, that's true. Maybe they'll run all over the Cowboys. But I think I'm taking them. I'm locked in. Cowboys are going to beat the crap out of the Giants. Wow. This is wall chuck stone cold. This is historical in the sense that it's a Monday stone cold lead pipe. It's a Thursday night, right? I don't want to forget to do that. And then I'm thinking like, damn, when it's, you know, 30 to nothing, I should have picked the Cowboys. I wanted to pick the Cowboys. We're doing it now. I like the way you're getting ahead of this thing. Let me throw this at you though. Since you brought up Malik neighbors, true refart, Gavin Dawson. He's the best wide receiver in the draft. In the world. In the histories. I'll bet on it. I'll say, yeah. Yeah. I mean, there were conversations. There were plenty of folks, despite the fact that Mark Brod is trying to argue this. Okay. So Brian brought us in this room here. The problem is the problem is that being an LSU alum that, you know, people are not going to take you seriously. Get off his job. Yeah, exactly. I Dawson had it right when the pre show, I mean, he goes, you've seen this guy play more than anybody, you know, when you start to talk about him and Martin's not going to be biased for his LSU guys. Just as a point of reference for if you're wondering out there, he'll perhaps be tougher on them. Yeah. You know, like a sports dad. Very sports dad. All right. I'll, but yes, Malik, dude, he is their offense. Does he save Daniel Jones? No, no, no, he doesn't do that. No, no, he makes him. He makes him viable. Only got himself can save. If Daniel just runs and passes to Malik neighbors, they have a chance of beating the Cowboys. You only have to get to like 17 points. I'm not joking. I think the game plan for Thursday night defensively for the Cowboys is I think you triple cover. The rare elusive triple coverage every single play Malik neighbors. He's got 23 catches on 37 targets for 271 yards and three touchdowns down so far this year. The only problem with triple teaming him is then like you mentioned Devin Singletary, who's running his tail off is going to just probably go all Alvin Camara on you. Absolutely. And DJ is going to run for 60 or 75 yards. Brian, I know you have film coming up at 340 in past these corner, but why two weeks in a row when that runner turns to the corner? Is there nobody home? Yeah, that's what's what's happening to you guys is when when the Cowboys since the ball going to the edge, there is now such an effort to get everybody. Are you talking about the cutbacks? Are you just talking about just running it around the corner? The yes runs around the corner. The runs around the corner. Yeah, what happens is sometimes you're getting by alignment, you're getting hooked, and then you don't get the pursuit from the inside from your linebackers. They'll kick your they'll kick your corner is what they'll do. And so what there's a lot of times we're losing a bunch of one-on-ones. They're like they're like they're outflanked, but that doubt if you watch if you watch what's happened with Dallas now some of the cutbacks like in Henry was really good with this yesterday is that they start the ball going one way to the corner. And then they bend that thing back because Dallas is just trying to get all 11 out on the edge over pursuing. Yeah, and then the ball is able to come back. So that's been a that's a major problem. Eric Chia followed through a fart. Sequin Barkley who had 17 carries, 147 yards, two TDs. He's got 351 yards, four rushing touchdowns on the season, three games. Best signing of the off season. Ooh, who would out who else would be in the running for that? Curcocains. Yeah, I was going to say, I mean, you have cousins, but no, they wasn't. I mean, that was there's another they did get gypped on that call. This is one where I'll actually agree with the fans. The Bengals fans were out of their minds last week, but the Falcons fans, I can understand why you are frustrated right now with the zebras. Sequin Barkley, best free agent signing. I mean, I think there's. Yeah, only because Malik Willis was a trade, huh? Yeah, good for him, man. My gosh. You're from the Packers as well. Yeah, it appears so. I mean, one of the few running back to, you know, what, four, five, six years into his career, still has the ability to run away from even the fastest defenders on the other team. That was a hell of a run. Even though I think Dick Fangio is the headliner for me yesterday. If I'm talking about the Eagles. Yeah, he was fantastic. And how about the Goddard one armor? Unreal. As he's sitting on a couple of my fantasy benches, you know, just wasting away. I think you could maybe throw in Justin Fields at three and then. I was thinking that was a trade too. Was that a trade? Well, yeah. Yeah, it was a trade. It was a trade. You're right. You're right. So we're talking about a free agent signing. So congrats to Sake Quads. Yeah, Chris. Seattle do anything with. Well, yeah, there can't really think about what Seattle. Did they do anything? They're three and oh right now. There's a lot of trades head coach and change. Thank you. Well, Chuck, maybe we'll have time for a few more bit later on. Time now to go into the Pimp Cup. We're Lucius. How's your GMAT today? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yes. How's everybody doing? Terrific. What's going on in every thing and everybody? Yeah, one day. I appreciate your reaction there. I appreciate that. Well, my wife notices that too. She's like, they just don't talk. She's the same way. They just watch you. Uh, let's go to our winner right here. We'll go to Austin Vela. Jean Duran had the goal of the season. This is also a hell of a call. Yeah. Yeah, he's got them, I think, second in the standings right now. It's amazing. Good for that, brother. Let's see here. All right. All right. What else I got for you guys? Hey, hold up. The call. It's telling me my name. Yeah, it's for you. Cowboy fans. Monday. Yeah. Hey, yesterday was a church day. I pray you got your blessing. I pray. I pray you do. Shout out to my Reverend Dr. Pastor, Freddie Haynes and Reverend Ike. This lady right here has a message for all the women in the congregation. Another thing. Stop saying all men adults. That's not true. Just because you had one bad experience doesn't mean they all come like that. Oh, did you have a thing that made me the reason why you're attracting those so-called dogs and because you dishing out kivos and bits? Hello. Kimos and kids. Why can you tell to see who you can catch nicks? The devil is a liar. And don't be wagging your tail in front of my husband either. Yeah. She's talking to somebody specifically in that audience. Staring right in the eyes. Leading the hat over there. Yeah. Let's see what else we got. This is not one, but it's Kawhi Leonard. Did you see him? He was recording some dude on a skateboard jump over a table at a park. No. Yo, Kawhi Leonard, bro. It's crazy. Listen to this. That guy, look at him. You did it. There you go. In a row. That's how you finish it. [Laughter] There you go. He just out there hanging out with you. He's a fun guy. It's like he's falling. You can hear how fun he is. That's good. That guy. Yeah. All right, what else we got for you boys here? [Laughter] It is pretty badass when somebody always over a picnic table. This is pretty awesome. No, it's never that good at it. It is pretty awesome. Shout out to Tolo Aaron Facker. My man sent this to me last week. Texas Rangers Radio broadcast right here. Jared Sandler had a little fun. How cool is this? I'm looking up at the video board and they're promoting the next two games. It's Camar Ocker and Jacob the Ground. It's great having both those guys back from Tommy John's surgery on the mound and both those guys will make their first and only home starts this year. Next couple of days. First pitch. And Jimenez takes outside from Bradford. I think they're sitting next to one another in the dugout right now. Yeah, they are. One of the benches towards the back side of the dugout. That one's outside. You're just like, hey, you got nasty stuff, bro. And the other one's like, yeah, you got nasty stuff too. That's pretty cool having good stuff. 2-0. Swing and a ball and tip back foul so the count's 2-1. You throw hard. You do too. You're pretty intimidating on the mound. Yeah, you're intimidating as well. You like striking guys out? Yeah, I did too. 2-1. Here's a ground ball weekly hit too. Switch is out of there real quick. Switch is out real quick. You got to be double minded, bro. You got to be double minded. Hypothetical play-by-play of a stuff off. I mean, just brilliant. There's no snacking to it. Back into it. I mean, a good ranger is like season ticket commercial. You know, we cut that cut to it. Huh? What are you talking to me? I'm sorry, I was reading a fan text. I'm sorry about that. No, we were just doing business ideas, you know, just marketing. Throw it out there. Throw it out there. Throw it in the rain pockets. Yeah, let's see here. I got another church clip for you. Yeah, it's a pastor upset at a choir. He's upset at his choir. They didn't like-- Oh, no. They weren't ready. They weren't ready. Get ready. They weren't ready when they were supposed to be ready. So he kept on going. Somebody handed a pastor a note like, "Hey, is the choir going to get the sing?" He's for women's rights. And somebody wrote me a note and said, "Can the choir sing?" Let me tell y'all something quiet. No. That man got too preachy. You should've both been ready then to sing. I don't have no crime. When I get too preachy, you've got to be ready to step right in behind me and sing. You know, I need y'all looking at me all strange, 'cause I know what I'm talking about. This ain't no part. This ain't no show. This is a worship. Worship, worship. You can't wait somebody to lift a baton and look at you and get, for you to sing. This ain't no show. You're supposed to be ready. You're supposed to be in the spirit while the man is preachy. And you're supposed to pick the song that's adequate for his son, his son. Facts. I don't care if you don't say amen. You can't get no amen out from no ignorance. Oh, God. I figured this out now, Lucius. Worship. You need to have a union for the choirs. Yeah. The choir needs a union, because they're getting treated poorly. They need some help out there. They need some help out there with their conditions. Their working conditions aren't good right now. Yeah. Is it our one-time champ? K Golaso from Duran, Aston Villa. They won 3-1 over the weekend. He tallied again, by the way, against wolves. Woman pastor says all men are dogs. Wait, what? And woman pastor says, don't say all men are dogs. Kawhi Leonard, videoing good skateboarders. How do they kick that thing and jump up at the same time? And they get like three feet in the air and somehow land it. We got to do sports science on this, man. It's the most superhuman sports thing I think we do. Is the high-speed skateboard Ollie land on it. Like 20 feet down the parking lot. It's unbelievable. Jared Sandlin with the rocker and de Grom dialogue, or is it pastor upset at his choir? I'm going to go with the skateboarder there, chief. How about you? Give me Jared Sandlin. Lucian? Shoot, man. Austin Villa. Vote for the champ. So show him. I'm going to go with Kawhi. Hey, okay, here we go. The fact that Chris Arnold was not nominated today is a crime. Did anybody know what Chris Arnold did? I got you. We have it for two guys. Okay, there you go, guys. Good tomorrow. There you go. You're more than welcome. That's quality content right there. I've just got right here on the fan text. They're sending to me. Right, the end of the segment. Yeah, at the end of the segment. I'd say it all the time. Please don't do that. Brian, I'm going to pick Kawhi. Buy a score of three to one to one. Your new G-bag of the day champion is Kawhi Leonard. Video taping skateboarders. It looked like on a basketball court, jumping over picnic tables. Pretty impressive. Best of the weekend coming up next, Chief, were you taking us? Yeah, which one of these sportsmen had it worse this weekend featuring the Red Rifle and the five-layer burrito next year in the nation? Thank you very much, Lucius. Mike McCarthy press are coming up in about two hours here on your home of the Cowboys time now for Chiefs. Best of the weekend. Here's Eric. Yes, sir. Thank you very much. 877-881-1053, who had it worse this weekend. Maybe you have a different nominee, but I would throw out their Bryce Young having a bad weekend after what the Red Rifle did, throwing laser beams around the ball yard. Seems pretty good, bro. Yeah, talking about that was, that was pretty eye opening. And then of course, we'll get to our K-State fan who alleged that he would cram up his cram hole a five-layer, a beefy five-layer burrito from time ago. That thing wouldn't even close upon the loss. That was a 38 to nothing win, wasn't it? Brutal. Yeah, they got select. That was BYU really getting after it. There is a K-State fan who is under a Bill Snyder guys on Twitter that said that he would do this with the beefy five-layer burrito. And then of course, BYU ends up beating K-State 38 to nine. That was their opening game in the Big 12, right? For Kansas State? For BYU. Kansas State and BYU aren't in the same conference. In Kansas State, still in the Big 12? Yes. Okay, I was just making. But it was, I thought that was Kansas State's first game in the Big 12th of the season. Oh, for the season? Oh, for the season, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, absolutely it was. And so, just don't mind me being really confusing over here. No, it's okay. But we, yeah, it was just a, it was pure domination. This guy didn't stand a chance. That burrito was, I mean, it's a collision course now for this guy. But the great play, and this was, again, it was pure domination. It's 28-0 run. It's a fumble return score. It's two interceptions. And then this play here, it's a glorious 90 yard. Parker, Kingston, punt return. And this is the moment that K-State imploded, and that five-layer burrito became reality. Now the punt. And that one might have been touched. Maybe scooped up by the return, man. Parker, Kingston, and now he's going to turn the corner. There he goes. Kingston to the 50, still going. Kingston, touchdown. It was what an epic return there, because it's about to be a disaster play. Big time, he's running back to his own end zone to recover the ball, and then he takes it to the opposite side of the field and houses it. So just pretty, pretty wonderful there, as we now await this K-State fan. And he's at least talking a big game like he's not going to do what the FS Pooh guy did, which was, of course, bail front, and just go completely dark. And now his-- To remove yourself from all social media. I just don't see how you can even attempt to pay this thing off, unless you're some sort of psychopath. Yeah, this dude, he's saying that-- Like you're a jackass type of guy. Remember that old movie, the deal thing? Yeah. You're one of my favorites. You're just a content creator of punishing yourself. Yeah, and the only type of person that's actually going to pay this off. If we found out that the guy that was behind all this was Steve O himself, then I think we could understand that maybe this does happen. Maybe this does happen. And while, Chuck, you were wondering, just like fundamentally, how did you do this with a burrito? He has already shown himself taking a video of putting the burrito in the freezer. Okay. So he's going to freeze. All right, he's going to pardon that. And he's alleging that it'll be Saturday night when he officially pays off the bet there. So it was a big time BYU blowout. He's actually like-- Good Lord. This guy's going to do this. Well, listen, we'll see, man. I mean, he's already kicking the can. He's already kicking the can yesterday. But he's teasing it. He's hyping this up like a prize fight between him and his ass and the burrito. Paper view. Did he post a video putting the thing in the freezer? He did. It was actually-- I mean-- Man versus food. I forgot how big that-- I mean, you know, it's five layers, you know, but you forget how big that thing is. I thought that might have been. I thought that might have been. It's like one of those things where Jerry would draft this burrito. You know what I'm saying? Now-- You think it's eight and a half inches? Oh, geez. Bryce Young. Bryce Young now. You can't-- like, what do you get for him? You're not-- like, after what Andy Dalton just did coming up there, having the type of quarterback performance that we haven't seen all season. We're lamenting quarterback play. Here comes Andy Dalton, whose hair is-- is it just-- it's aging better and better each year. It becomes more and more impressive jumping off the screen. And-- and he was dialed yesterday. Deontae Johnson was back to being a respectable wide receiver and-- Good player. Getting a bunch of volume that way. They looked competent. And of course, the Raiders do what the Raiders do. I know, Waldshark will probably have Antonio Pierce and some of the things that he had to say about his football team because he's embarrassed at what happened. But I think-- You're Bryce Young and human nature is on the sideline going, "Crap, Andy's freaking spinning it, dude." You know? He's kicking himself. They turned down, like, how many trades for him? Over the last week, like, four or five teams. Jake Lazer reported. It might be worse than Carson Winch watching Nick Foltz win a Super Bowl with this team. You know, like, the psychological trauma. I don't think you can overcome this. Your confidence could never be restored to what it was on draft night or shortly thereafter. Really, really bad. Really, really bad. You had Tennessee doing what they did over OU. We'll chat some more. If you guys have anything you want to say about it, feel free. But they did have a Morgan Wallen concert was going down at Nielen Stadium over the weekend while the football team was in Norman taking care of business. And Morgan Wallen had Peyton Manning walk out with him onto the stage. And Manning is wearing a full Tennessee, his full Tennessee uniform. That's better. Head, helmet, shoulder pads. You had the jersey and he had the big, the old school face mask that he used to wear. That Bella Check was making fun of him about on the Manning cast a couple of weeks ago. He wore the whole thing throwback style number 16. And that was a, that was an epic moment from the weekend, for sure. Now I can't believe what the survivor stuff has done. So obviously we have all week to figure things out here. But I, I, my goodness, the Niners losing that game. I'm completely, I'm completely blown away. Shanahan strikes again with his ability to blow leads. And the fact that it is wall chuck depending on Kyle Shanahan to do something for him. And Kyle Shanahan doing exactly what wall chuck knows he does. My guy, a big day. Yeah. I mean, it was, dang it. That was a ridiculous situation and now brought us his own three and survivor. How did that butter sit with you, by the way? Great. Is that great? Yeah. Great. No problems. No problems. Now eating one every day, a big stick of butter. Yeah. No, no problems. It was like cholesterol was a little high at one point in time. But other than that, I just, I just. All those clogged arteries. I just looked, I was curious. You know what Andy Dalton's record is against Vegas career? No, three and no. He's 49 is 68 for 548 yards and three touchdowns. You only could have used this info Friday about this time. I was just curious. I'd like to think he had it there. He's curious against the Raiders. He had it ready to go. Then he holstered it. It was like, let's wait till Monday. Pretty good. It just rubbed Dawson's nose in it a little bit. No, but I, yeah, I was, I was just curious what he was because I heard some whispers that Andy Dalton always needs to play the Raiders. That's his game. Whoever, anytime he ever gets the. Well, that's when he can really get his guys to have fun and play together. Yeah. Let's have fun and play together, guys. And that's a recipe for success for him. You're a neutron. Hey. It's Brock Purdy's record without George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey. I'll look that up for you. Yeah. Keep going. Not good. Not pretty good. Yeah. Not pretty good. I'll tell you what was pretty good. Big salute once again to Travis Hunter. Two-way monster. Seven catches. Buck 30. Three tackles. And of course, the game clinching for its fumble in overtime against Baylor. That was quite the end. Dude, you have a failed Hail Mary with two seconds left. Hit the guy right in the chest. And I'm like, oh, you had a shot and then the next play. Boom. There it is. Overtime. Take that, David Randall, man. Thank you, chief. Yes, sir. NFL news today coming up next. We'll check what's in store for us. Yeah. We do have some coaches, audio, a rule that needs to be changed and spitgate. That's next to the nation. Hey, Mike Valenti here. Host a cash to ticket alongside my partner, Jim Costa. It's really simple. Are you tired of podcasts claiming there are a bunch of pro bettors when they live in their mommy's basement? Are you tired of podcasts that claim they hit 80% of the games? When really, they just lose like most of us. Think cash to tickets the spot for you. We're real. We're transparent. We're having a hell of a good time with it. And we sit there and we're there for the sweat with you guys. We're just trying to figure it out just like you. Follow and listen to Cash the Ticket on the free Odyssey app or wherever. You get your podcasts here we go. It's our number two of the G back nation on one oh five three. The fan Mike McCarthy press are coming up at about four forty five here on a Cowboys Monday that leaves a lot to be desired. Crusty's corner at three forty. He's already looked at the film. Cowboys Twitter's coming up at three twenty. So we got her surrounded for you all the angles. And we'll just going to take a stroll around the rest of the league here. Little week three NFL news today, bully. Yeah, let's do it. Here was a positive outside of just Brandon Aubrey being a bad ass. Cowboys did become the first team to recover an onside kick in twenty twenty four. So they've got that on their mantle. I did not know the rule. I didn't know the rule that if you attempted more than two, you could not do that. This I don't think anybody really did know until we got into this scenario. I mean, let's your rule. Brandon Aubrey knew I'll tell you that. But yeah, I came out yesterday after the Cowboys successfully completed their first onside kick, then they went for a second one, did not get that one. Then it was you're not allowed to do it again. I guess by the new rules, you're only allowed to. And I think this is one that they probably need to change. I don't really understand this. You should be allowed to kick as many damn onside kicks as you want to. But they had already completed two. You're not allowed to do more than two. Is it easier to get them now, you feel like? It didn't look like it, did it? I mean, why not? You know, if we can pull this thing off and we're down four scores, it's the only thing that could possibly make the game interesting again. I think I don't think they want the collisions. Wow, I really don't. I don't think they want the collisions on the same because they they gave you that whole thing. I just watched the Vontay Smith get decapitated on television. Yes, I know it's ridiculous. I mean, I mean, yeah, I mean, what did they do with the kickoff? Okay, dudes, get five yards apart and we'll put you already down the field so you don't have to run down the field. Yeah, I find, but we got to figure out something else. I think there's something too they don't think it's very entertaining. They think the chances of you getting an onside kick are so extremely low. And so they're just trying to avoid it or something. They just don't think it's good television product to have the onside kick. I don't know. What were some of the rules that they talked about? Was it maybe getting the ball like fourth and 20? Fourth and 20. 20 scenario and you go for the play. But yeah, they changed it to where you can only attempt the onside and the fourth quarter when you're trailing and you can't do it any more than twice. And of course, it's got to be notified now to the opposing team. So we can match up and get everybody out there that we want safety. That's right. Got to match personnel groupings. Yeah. So I think they need to allow teams to do that as many times as possible. And it's probably not going to be a conversation a ton. I mean, how many times we really see the onside gigs? Pretty rare. Come on, let's go. And then we all found out, I think together that to avoid a safety, and I know Kyle van Neuep put this out today, I found out that if a quarterback is going down for a safety, you can just pass it to an alignment and you're good. Yeah, that was that play where Dax being hit in the end zone and he's throwing it to his left guard and his left guard caught it, by the way. He did. I mean, really. I mean, Tyler Smith, really unfair thing for Dax to do to Tyler right there. He's like, oh my gosh, I have the ball in my hands and I'm supposed to run. But I'm still confused. I feel like the rest were confused. Everybody's confused on what was supposed to happen there. I don't think what they decided on was appropriate. No, it worked out for the Cowboys in that scenario. Yeah, thank goodness. I mean, overall, I didn't think the officiating was good at all yesterday. That was one that benefited the Cowboys because they just called an eligible man downfield. And now, okay, you can still punt it, but it could have been intentional grounding, which would have been a safety and holding in the end zone and eligible receiver. Cowboys looked out there. I don't think they really did that well. Was there any way that the official thought that maybe he was trying to slam the ball down and it slipped out of his hand and went to Tyler because that was out. That's what I was thinking would be the only was an accident. The only thing only way you would interpret that to be that call. Maybe I would use an explainer. It's possible. But again, I mean, like, I think this is why we talk about we'd like the refs to go to the podium after the game. Yeah. Let's find out, like they do their pool report where I guess we have to read about it. But we could have asked. We could have asked the officials in the post game show that would have been fun. All right. We had you already mentioned the miraculous comeback for the Rams yesterday against the Niners. All right. They, they were looking to know in three start. They're down 24 to 14 in the fourth quarter. They don't have Puke Nakua. They don't have Cooper Cup. Matthew Stafford get some rallied. They had a big miss field goal. Did the Niners from Jake Moody? Moody. I mean, come on, Moody. What the hell you're making me, Moody with that miss? Because now I got a bet payoff on the line. It was a 100% win probability for the 49ers at one point in this fourth quarter. 100% they put on here. And the Rams quote tweeted it and said, oh, oops. Because they come back, they get the win. Here's Sean McVeigh immediately after the presser. All right. Oh, that was what a job by our group. Just continuing to battle, continuing to fight. And, you know, there's a lot of guts. There's a lot of resilience. The passion, the emotion. I love McVeigh. I like being able to see just a little bit of character there, a little bit of personality, but he was even in shock. I think that that whole roster was looking at each other like, holy hell, we just were able to come. It would have been kind of the Cowboys had to stole that one yesterday. It's the Ravens. Like how the hell did we just win that football game? Yeah. And you need a miracle like punt return type of thing to really help you in a situation like that. I mean, I'm seeing here, was that the ESPN, FPI one or whatever? That was doing the 100% yeah, there's this wonky next gen had it at the Rams win probability at 3.2% with 4 14 remaining in the fourth quarter. So next gen gave him a 3% chance to win with about four minutes. You should always just have there is a percentage chance until there's zero on the clock. Cause you just never know play, play through the whistle, huh? Well, the Raiders, they also were the culprit of a bet payoff happening with the general after a 36 to 22 loss than the Panthers. 85 bears weren't going to slow down the red rifle yesterday. No, I don't think he was being stopped. He didn't stand a chance. You look at passing touchdowns for the season. Andy Dalton won game three, Bryce Young and two games three. So I feel for Bryce yelling here, but the red rifle looked great. And seven points going into the fourth quarter a few days after rallying to beat the Ravens. Just atrocious. I think the last two weeks, actually, the favorites are below 500. This is Parity's in an all time high. It is. You never know what you need at the NFL is a strange lady, huh, Brian? She is a stranger is ever stranger than this. Well, now they put an agent about just piling up the bet payoff, seeing how many I can get and setting a record for most bet payoffs in a single show. Well, it's going to be a, it's going to be a heavy weight bout between you and broadest to see who can take the most else. It'd be a gauntlet. He's on a heater right now. At this, at this rate, Brian will have 18 bet payoffs. Yeah, all about 14. There might be a point where it's just like we rattle them. What are we going to do here? Just dial up another Bangkok bird. This is insane. Aiden O'Connell though, might get the start. He might replace Gardner Menchoo according to Antonio Pierce. That was today when he talked to the media. This was last night, not very happy with this team. The team just didn't seem to show up tonight. No, they didn't. I think as the game went on, I don't think it was a team. It was, I think there was definitely some individuals that made business decisions and will make business decisions going forward as well. Wow, business decisions can be making those on his guys out. Cowboys weren't making any business decisions, right? They were just bad at tackling. Pretty much. Yeah, they were trying. There were times. Yeah, there were times where they, they were really, you know, they'd come up there and they really didn't get a very good wrap up with like they needed to. So yeah, it wasn't, it wasn't trying to turn it down. I mean, heck there, our young little Carson went up there and he tried to tackle and got hit in the head and stiff-armed, you know, knocked out of the way. I mean, it wasn't for a lack of trying. He just, the Agilar one felt like a lack of trying. That was, that was just, that was just bad. And we just signed your friend here. Leaches push him out of bounds. Just try and push him out of bounds. That was pretty, that was pretty gut-wrenching, but he did throw himself around after that. He did. He was, I mean, It was the very next series too. He started getting serious about it. The wood on someone was like, I'm not embarrassing myself like that again. I mean, I, I know fans, you know, you, that play is going to haunt you and it'll stick with you. I still think Caitlin Carson's got a bright future to be okay. You can't have that happen after this though. That's got to be a one time. Absolutely. That bad. You can't let that happen again. You have to learn from that. You get the one. Hey, you know, you're a rookie. It's your third game. Okay. That was disgusting. Don't let it happen again. Okay. So far he came back and played well. As it pertains to the Antonio Pierce Raiders stuff though, I mean, can you imagine being a fly on the wall in that, that film, sesh, when he's calling dudes out and he's probably got like a red laser and he's like, watch this guy's business decision. John Adams looks ready to get up out of there. I mean, he's been ready since pretty much the day after he signed the contract, but everybody's trying to get him back to Aaron Rodgers in the jets. Yeah. He is too. Yeah. He probably, he's probably requested a trade. I'm sure already and it's just there. I mean, if you wanted to go to the Raiders initially, you didn't think you were going to win a lot there. Did you? That was like a lifestyle move. Like I want to move closer to home. He's a west coast guy. Garrett Gardner, man. Yes. Derek Grover's his buddy. He was a Clint Kubiak away from really getting after for at least two games. Maybe tries to go to New Orleans. I don't know. But Sam Darnold, how about these Minnesota Vikings, huh? Oh, dude. Three and oh, hey, that's the best free agent signing. Darnold. You know, it's not Saquon Barkley. It's Darnold. Yeah. To this point, how could you argue? He did get hurt in the game. He returned and Vikings get good news. MRI reveals just a knee bruise, no structural damage. So good news for the Vikings. But Kevin O'Connell, my gosh, he's rising up the coaching ranks real, real quick right now. That's a McVay disciple. Sam Darnold and the Vikings, they handled the Houston Texans yesterday. Dude, the CJ Stroud was, was putting the blender and oh, Bobby Slowick, the, the, the Niners guy, not, not really getting to help his quarterback too much. Apparently a lot of this stuff has been CJ Stroud bailing this offense out of some third and long situations. And you're not going to be able to do that against Brian Flores. If you're going to put, if Brian Flores has you in third and long, which I believe they were in a ridiculous number of certain tens yesterday, the Texans offense, did you have like that weak one stat? Stroud's numbers on like third down, they were unbelievable. I think like he had two touchdown passes on third down against the Colts when they got that win. Yes. That's, that's what it's, that's what it's been a lot of there. And then at some point that's going to run its course on you, especially against the defense that's flying around the way the Vikings are. And, and oh, Brian Flores has them absolutely dialed. Yeah. I saw it from Bill Barnwell Texans had third and 10 or more 10 different times in this game. That's the most any team has had since 2022. So I mean, they were in third and 10 all day and Flores just brings the dogs. I have it on red zone. If it's not the cowboy game and the Houston Texans football that I've been able to see has looked disjointed and sloppy at times. You know, like I, they added players, they were good last year, but I'm not seeing a like polished veteran group. They struggled to put away the Colts week one. It was 1913 against the Bears. You know, I, I feel like we could have seen this coming. Although there might be a lot of good things going on in Houston. I just don't feel like they're ready. They were pressured 45% of this dropbacks they had last yesterday. Yeah. The Vikings are, they're serious, man. And that's another, that's another Shanahan quote unquote offense, Bobby Sloey, like Brian Flores has shown to have some serious answers. He's the guy, you know, and, and now, I mean, dude, what are we getting Vikings and Packers this Sunday? Yeah. And all of a sudden, I mean, I mean, you got O'Connell on the floor, both looking incredible. What the floor is doing? You went two games from the league Willis. Unbelievable man. I mean, and, and maybe you get Jordan love back this year. Yeah. I agree with the first three weeks. All right. I'm going to send you guys this video. We've got a spit gate going on. I sent it to our buddy Carter Freeman as well. Carter doing great work. We actually have a new teammate who maybe we can introduce later on. I think she's gonna be running the run stuff for the morning show. She made morning show, replacing good. All right. Right. Right. Right. Right's gone, greener pastures. And now we're adding somebody new to the fold, but we had an incident. We have to work with Sean. Yeah. This might not be good. Well, you weren't, you warned her first about Sean. Yeah. You have to worry about, you have to warn her about Sean for sure. Yeah. He's a, he's a demanding, I mean, he might make you cry. Yeah, he might. He's kind of, yeah. He's kind of, I guess he's got the same thing that'll make you laugh will make you cry. Yeah. Yeah. Cowboy games. That's true. Yeah. Funny enough, I think that was a Ray Lewis quote. Was it? Yeah. So going in the race, you know, well, Peyton Turner has denied spitting on Devontay Smith during a contentious victory yesterday. And this is after his decapitation. Yeah. So he's laying on the ground with a concussion. And he leaves the game. He does not return. And there is a video. It looks at like, Peyton Turner sits up and he's big 98 spits on him. Yeah. Okay. Now he says he did not do this. He said, I don't see a projectile. I couldn't really confirm through that. I definitely see something. I see something coming down there. I just, I, it's hard to say where it lands. And it's hard to say how on purpose it was, but you can see some lugey like substance shooting from that dude's face mask. Yeah. Really disappointed in this laptop I have right now. Cause I could, I can clearly see it on your, on your monitor. On my PC here. Yeah. Pretty gross. Well, he's denying, denied, denied, and I, and we'll see if he ends up getting a suspension or if some NFL actions take it from this. Hard to prove intent there. Yeah. It could be one of those situations where the play is over and you're like spitting on the ground and a person happens to be there. You know, it's hard to say. In this case, like a, a, like a borderline dent doesn't make it any better. I would probably make a rule. If I was in charge, if I was the commissioner, that any spitting is a fine that goes directly to the other guy, even if it's unintentional, dude got spit on. Yeah. He's going to need a fiber act. Same for the sideline. Let's just now do this. There was two helmet, like just ridiculous. He just got jacked up hits this week. It was that one there on Devontay Smith. And then there was an Auburn hit in college football who I missed. I just think it was an Arkansas player. Oh, was it their quarterback green who just went like no, Antonio Brown and tried to kick a dude in the face. Oh, that was awesome. You need to look that up too. It's early in the football game. Green's on the run and he just leaps up in the air and it is just foot straight to the domed. Like, get away from me. Great. Tried to karate chop a guy. I do feel for Dolphin fans there right now. Why is that? Miami Dolphins are the only team in the national football league not to hold a lead for a single second this season. Ouch. And Skyler Thompson has now suffered a ribbon injury and they're lost to the Seahawks. That's really who we should have gone with was the damn Seahawks and Skyler Thompson in the dolphins. I was going to, but I already burned the Seahawks because I should have played bow nicks. See, I don't now look in three and O quietly 24 to three. They get the win there. No toa. He's on IR and the, I mean, their record without toa is really, really bad. Yeah, it's the to a curse. You know, if you're, if your organization is dumb enough to sign to a to a long term extension, this is what you have now. You get what's coming to you. I cannot have nice things. It's like there's an injury home and on that position right now for them in that uniform and that offense is just completely built for toa and nobody else can run it. And so that's kind of an indictment on the offense to some extent. I just saw this Arkansas quarterback do the Antonio Brown kick to the face. I don't think he meant to. He was going to go for some type of hurdle, but then he just resorted to like a Kingley and I just kicked to the chest. Last thing here to Sean Watson, his EPA per drawback, expected points added weeks one through three. It is the worst of any Browns quarterback since 2000. Yeah. He is. Can they start that Kizner guy? I mean, you got names like Brian Hoyer, Kelly Holt, Shawn Keiser, Kizner, Kizner, McKown. He's the worst ever one. He was set. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's worse than him. Charlie Fry. Yeah. He's the worst of any starting quarterback to the first three weeks in the history. Kaiser. Well, there's two catcher on the brain worse than Quinn. Jeff Garcia is on here. Yeah. Brady Quinn, Tim couch. It's bad. So holy cow. Oh yeah. You got to cut bait and go at this point. Yeah. You got to find a way to get rid of the Sean Watson time to move along. And Cowboys Twitter is coming up next the top game day tweets that went viral before during and after the Cowboys defeat to the Ravens. That's coming up next here in the G back nation. Yeah, buddy. Welcome back to G back nation. This segment of the nation is brought to you by window nation. Proud part of the Dallas Cowboys call 866-90 nation or go to window nation.com/cowboys. You can buy two windows. Get too free. Pretty screaming deal. Okay. It's time to offer some Cowboys Twitter top tweets going viral about America's team. What does Jerry Jones think about making a trade? Okay. Todd Archer with the tweet here. Since 2000, the Cowboys have started one or two or worse six times. And out of those six times, they made the playoffs once. What year was that? That was 2018. The turnaround was fueled by a trade, a trade for Amari Cooper. It's like he arrived and all of a sudden the offense had relevance. Once again, it was a glorious finish to the season and they made the playoffs. So Jerry was asked, what do you think about making a trade here, Jer? Said, I love our quarterback, love our receiver, like our offensive line. Frankly, I like some of the things we're doing in the defensive line. So I like our personnel. I say all in on personnel. I like our personnel. I don't see personnel changes out here. I see everybody doing better and getting better. And those are the things that I, I look for. How do you explain Jerry having that sort of a take here? I just love what he said. Like, I love our receiver. We have one that we love. And that's pretty clear. And even he yesterday was, I mean, I don't understand the emotional situation that goes on with CD sometimes, but we've seen it now quite a bit fumble wrecked and pretty good, I think. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know though. Jerry's Jerry's not going to this quickly into the season. Admit that the roster he's put together has some obvious flaws in it. What do you guys think about, you know, I think he's just selling, you know, Jerry says it when my lips are moving, I'm selling. What do you think about the, the, the CD DAC thing and the, the mica tank thing? Are we in consensus that it's just what happens when you lose and it becomes very frustrating? I can only speak from my experience. And I watched, I hated the press box. I hate the press box to this day. I appreciate having a seat. But if you let me watch the game from the field, I have a better feel for it. I have a better understanding of what's happening. I can't tell you how many times I watched players MF each other and coaches MF players and players MF coaches during a game to the point where, I mean, you're, you're, you're fearful. I remember one time a coach walked up to me and goes, Brian, I just saw my life before my eyes because he went after a player on the sidelines. And that player, you know, could have, could have ended it for him right there. We've seen players and coaches get into altercations and stuff. It's rare. It's, it's chaos in a way. It's, it's not for the meek down there. And, and when things are going bad, it's even worse because you, you know, now you're coming off, you're frustrated, you throw a helmet, someone says, why are you throwing your helmet? And then, and then now you get into it. Now the coaches get into it with the players and the players get it. And, you know, we've seen what happened with what went on in Buffalo with digs and that situation with Josh, during the playoffs, him and the coach are trying to make adjustments and he's standing there screaming at him, you know, and, and, and Alan even looking up, he knows, you know, as if I look up and engage in this guy, it's not going to be good. And that's when, that's when it can become an issue for your football team, where it costs you a good player. Like the situation becomes untenable between two of your, your best guys. I, I think Dak and CD will put this behind them. I think Dak's enough of a pro. But when he says we need to be more professional, you can tell he would prefer that CD not do it. And I, I, I, I see Dak's point here. You know, I think CD does need to be more professional. Well, you know, and the thing about it is Dak, and he has a responsibility. He stands up there in front and takes the arrows when it's good or when it's bad. I mean, he, he's the guy, but he's also, you know, he, CD needs to be more professional about it. You know, walking out after the game and leaving your teammates to have to answer all the questions about why is not a good look. And then today, you know, I don't know, I haven't seen any tweets or anything. I talked to Nick Harris. He did not either. Okay. So now he wasn't an open law. Now it now it gets, you know, now that this keeps getting worse. Yes. See that, that's where I, you know, you need to handle the situation right then and there you don't need to let this thing fester on. And you know, it's a short week and all that. But now what's hanging over everybody's head, you know, that CD hasn't said why maybe he's apologized to Dak and the coaches and the team or whatever. But yeah, I, to me, this part of apologizing would be coming out and speaking today though. I mean, you guys feel like they owe us anything on that though. Never do. See, that's what I always wonder because we, we, I, I'm the same way. I'd like, well, you need to come out and say something. And then I think, well, he really doesn't owe me anything. No, he's doing his job. I mean, if we have a bad show and I'm yelling at Eric, you know, I don't, I don't know anybody in a response, but it's between Eric and I sure. Yeah, but as fans, you know, you'll, you wonder the longer he doesn't talk and say it's fine. I agree. The more it's like, is this a Josh Allen's to fund digs? I totally, I totally agree. But I'm just saying I, you know, in reality, he doesn't owe us that. But no, but two, he owes his teammate that he owes his dad, his leader. Exactly. It goes to that's part of being a pro, right? And that's what's with that's what that's where you're now paid. You've got your contract that that's part of your job responsibility, right? And to me, I agree with you overall. Yeah. And I said in the postgame show, I liked seeing some life and some passion and some frustration. Like this isn't okay. We're getting our ass kicked. This is two weeks in a row at home. Like, I like to see that I'm glad somebody showed it. But if it's then going to mentally frustrate CD to where he's now taking himself out of the game, basically, then that's where there's a problem. Yeah. Yeah. You know, and it's a, it's a story. If, you know, the guy looks at Dak and thinks I don't trust you to be good enough to get me the football. He obviously wants the football. He believes in himself. The Ravens showed up with a game plan to make sure CD lamb didn't beat them. And guys like Tolbert and Brooks couldn't win enough to make him pay off that Ferguson definitely won quite a bit. You know, that was one of the, the positives of the game. Yeah. I saw Matt Owen and he put out the next gen numbers, the average league separation yards of separation for wide receivers is just under three yards of separation. And there wasn't a single cowboy that even hit that number. Wow. They were all either. I mean, Brandon cooks less than a yard of Sam separation. Jalen Brooks barely over a yard. Jalen Tolbert two yards and CD two yards. So there's no separation. Your average players can't get it. And even your, your great wide receiver one couldn't get separation yesterday. And so some of that has to fall back on your design and your route concepts and how much as a play caller, are you helping your wide receivers get open? And ultimately, you know, it's going to come down to your defense being better. Michota with a tweet here from the athletic opposing quarterbacks combined passer rating versus the Cowboys in the last three games at AT&T 147.1. What 158.3 is the, is perfection. Nearly giving up flirting with it, opposing starting running backs, which is Jones Camara Henry averaging 128 rushing yards and three touchdowns per game. And the Cowboys defensive frustrations reaching new levels. I can't stop the run or the pass. If I'm Dak, I'm like, dude, just chill out, bro. Okay. We got to aim our frustration at the defense. We're good. We'll get this figured out, right? I need a better number two and number three wide receiver. We need a running back until those things happen. Chill. We're going to be fine. But this is not the type of year where we need to get at each other's throats and ruin what's a good thing. We're quarterback and receiver of the Cowboys for the next half decade. Unless you're such a Richard, then I got to tell them to get ready. Yeah. We don't want that nobody wants that. This isn't a winning year. We, we have nothing at running back. Our defense is horrible to you. Just chill out. Brian, what do you think? No, I think you're on to something. I mean, I think. Dax saying don't jump off the bandwagon. Yeah. He's trying to route. He's trying to route. That's public. Well, no, no, he's saying do the things. Please, please, please do. Oh, he said if you want to jump off, jump off and then watch what happens. Okay. Can I be critical of how bad you guys suck without jumping off the bandwagon? Do you do you have to have like that? I don't think it's funny to have that energy like they're the victim here. You can't talk about it. You guys have embarrassed yourselves and the entire country, your America's team and all you do is just as in your helmet for the last three times that you've had a game at a TNT stadium. Yeah. The thing that bothers me the most is what I heard in the post game was the stuff about preparation. You know, and when the head coach talks about it, Dax talked about it. You know, you've got. You mentioned not practicing well all week. Practice. We got to be detailed. Yeah. See, that to me is the most concerning thing. The fact that you have guys, especially after what happened in the Saints game, that you have a situation where and the Ravens aren't an easy team to play. But still, when you get three or four different people talk about preparation during the week, that, that to me is the big, this whole yelling at each other and all that, that's fine. But if you're telling me that they're not getting ready for games every week, that's more of a problem. Bad look. Lamed up coach. Maybe they're already tuning them out. I mean, I'm, I'm surprised Gary Jones's fault. No question. No question. And, and we thought the Mike Zimmer stuff was going to have a be more detailed, more buttoned up, more sound, more those are all things I said. No, I'm not saying you, I'm saying we, I said that I did. Yeah, absolutely. It's just surprising that we're a couple of weeks in here. It's not been buttoned up there. They haven't, they haven't done a very good job when it comes to playing run defense. And it's, they don't play it. They don't play it in a way that you have to be, when you, when you, when you take chances or, or you make a blitz or you, you bring a guy down inside, you have to replace those things. You have to replace. If somebody, if somebody's going to go to, if, if all of a sudden Michael Parsons is on that crash, somebody's got to replace him. Somebody's got to be there. Cause if the ball spills back side to him, you know, then you've got it. You've got to have somebody there. And they're not doing that. And that's, that's on Mike too. That's on Mike. It's on him. It's on his players. And it's on the way they teach. If these players aren't getting it, there's something fundamentally wrong. And that's coaching. Yeah. Yeah. Do you think Jason Garrett was saying this with a smile last night on NBC? When he was talking about the Cowboys saying they're not a physical football team. Everyone understands this about the Cowboys. Now you have to go in there and run the ball. The last two years they were dominated home. I think teams have found the formula, run the ball, get ahead. And that's what silence is that pass rush. So he's right. If you been that way for 12 years, he must have been cheese and another one. He's a lot of players have come and gone in those 12 years. They're built to play against 11 personnel. They're not, they're not built to play against 12 21 22. They're not built to play against teams that have full backs and big tight ends. That the Ravens didn't motion you yesterday. Look at the motion numbers. Ravens had less motions than you did in that game. What do they do? They lined up and they kicked your ass. That's what they did. The Cowboys will tell you we have to choose, right? Are we going to build a beefy team or a fast team that rushes the pastor and covers speedy wide receivers? They don't believe it's possible that you could have everything. And that's why they can't win playoff games. You're not going to play against a quarterback like that every week. You're just not. I mean, that that's, that's the reds. That's why that guy is a two time MVP. Well, there's nobody lost. They looked unprepared for him. Now in his ability to run the football. But that's fine. And if you get into, if Elvison, San Francisco brings back Colin Kaepernick to play like that, then I'd be worried. You know, I would be worried. But to me, they have got to figure out how to play against teams that play with full backs and tie it in. That quarterback is rare. He is rare. But if you get somebody that could really, really run the football, like the Saints did and they play with the full back and they play with tight ends, that team's going to put Dallas in a lot of trouble. Golly, I hope they can beat the teams with more traditional offenses. You know, I think you can lean on that and see seven, eight, nine victories out of, out of this year, but the schedule is tough. And there aren't a ton of winnable games other than the vision. I think you look at Carolina. Well, if you look at, if you look at coming up Pittsburgh, look, it was supposed to be a little bit easier. But now look at Pittsburgh with that quarterback, you think they're going to watch your film and think, Oh, let's just not run our quarterback. It's going to roll over. Yeah. Yeah. Let's let's see how that works. Well, let's see how crusties corner goes today, buddy. What do you say? Yeah, we've got to talk about some of these things I saw on the tape. We'll do that next. Thank you, Lucius. Time now for crusties corner brought to you by reliant air conditioning, gimmick free AC repair and replacement. Here's the king of the crusties, Brian. Thank you very much, General. Thank you to reliant as well for their continued sponsorship of crusties corner. Salute. Despite all the reasons you give them to mail before we get started here, I'd like to say that Eric, we had the opportunity for the once again, our friends at legends, brought us the pizza burger again. Yes, they did. Yes, they did. They brought us an Eric past. What? You want to kick? Well, no, definitely, definitely not. They end up circling back in the in the press box at halftime with the item of the day. So it was just it was windy out there. You know what I mean? The first time they brought it up, we were preseason. We were in the Brad Shambooth. So it just it was more optimal for you know, consumption outside windy papers flying everywhere, trying not to call somebody the wrong name in the pregame show. I was just too focused and yeah, just too professional yesterday. That's really good for me. You know, somebody was professional on our group. But I tell you, I had the ice cream with the Fritos. Fritos Sunday, man. The Fritos Sunday bluebell homemade. Let me tell you what? I believe in it. They got the they got the like the kind of the they got the ratio. Yeah, the salt. The sweet. It was, I tell you what, I was kind of skeptical. Like if you're thinking like if you went out and got drunk and you came home and like, what sounds really good? Oh, take a bag of Fritos and some bluebell ice cream and put it together. Matt's made in heaven. It's not a bad combination. Not that I was I was punted on the half a segment just to hammer that thing home. Who were interviewing? I think, babe. Oh, babe. I just I base it out on the babe interview. But I saw it was ice cream and I didn't want to I wanted to stop. I didn't want to stop eating the ice cream because I was worried about it melting. Yeah, no, it was it was very impressive. Once again, legends, hospitality, just absolutely outstanding. The the the jerk chicken, the Caribbean jerk, whatever chicken thighs that were in there yesterday. That's the one seed for anything I've ever had in that press box. Yeah, it was truly, truly, truly good stuff. Pressive. There you go. You guys got any questions from what you saw yesterday or what the hell we got quite a lot. What the hell quite a lot? Do you want to start offense or defense? Start at start on offense. If you want if you got a question, but if not, I've got it. Was it on offense in the fourth quarter? How did I tell you what come together? Start with the positives, man, butter. They read seriously. They did they did a much better job with handling the Ravens front. The pressure with you know, the thing the Ravens were able to do early in this game was with their with their rush with their down rush. They were able to make things happen that way. There was one time they had an unblocked had unblocked, Hamilton was unblocked and that caused the pressure. But other than that, it really was their their guys that were able to kind of create some early pressure. Zack Martin didn't play particularly well this game. I was like any of the linemen particularly played well. I'll tell you what though, if you look back the tackles, the tackles were not terrible in this game and you and I came out of that sitting next to Zack, I'm kind of thinking like, you know, BB and and Guyton and those guys. I was just thinking about the tackles. I'm like, man, it doesn't look right. But on tape, it wasn't bad. So when I go back and I'll think I'll think I'll think higher of steel. Yeah, and I'm not trying to I am not trying to influence anybody because you get your tape and you'll sit down and watch, but you will be surprised how they were able. They miss they miss some throws and they miss some routes that they could have they could have taken advantage. Now, there was a couple of pressures here and there, but nothing that you normally wouldn't face in the game. I'll say this, the running backs, no more Zeke. Just okay, let's if you want to go down and do you want to if you want to if you want to get the ratio much better. If you just want to go ahead and bring cook up and play him, sit, sit, Zeke, I have no problem with that. But the toughness that Dattle showed is a blitz pickup guy catching the football and all those things yesterday, him, they try to throw a wheel route to Vaughn. I get it. They're trying to get him on the field and do some things with him. Rather them do that than just hammer him up the middle for new yards. Exactly. So to me, I was, I thought that the offensive line was the big was a big, big struggle. You see, you were going to run the ball. I mean, when they ran the ball, they were able to kind of make me kind of a little bit more about the backs than really the blocking yesterday. On the, on the running, that's kind of what I'm wondering about. Like on their three touchdown drives, I think they only ran it twice over the course of like 25 plays. Do you think abandoning the run is what they should be looking to do more? They've had to me when they went like no huddle and hurry up off it. They got a tempo get up to the line. Let's say I was watching, I was watching the substitutions on the sidelines with the receivers. They could play with some pace that they want because they have three guys on three guys off and they were constantly, they run a route. Like three guys on guys come off. You know, that's why the rotation that they were able to do that really, that really put the Ravens in some tough spots. And I could say, they, the touchdown that they threw to, to, to Tolbert completely, the combinations of the routes allowed the middle of the defense to open up. Yeah, they finally used some crossers over the middle. It wasn't the crime. It was supposed to Terpen, I think, on his big catch. Well, his big catch, you're right. The, the, his touchdown too, they matched him up with a safety deal with Washington. You know, so you're like, Washington's a safety trying to chase Terpen out of the slot. See, to me, that's where you miss out on some things. When you, when you think like, okay, hey, put our guy with this guy or put this guy, our guy with that guy. We like this match. Yeah. Yeah. And they did it. They did a much better job with the, the offensively picking up blitzes. Like we talked about once they got going, they were able to, the receivers did a better job of getting open. And the quarterback didn't miss throws. You know, he had a couple of throws in this game. We were like, man, if you just hit on that throw, for sure, it's a big play here. But I, I just like I say, I think this team can play with some tempo and, and kind of make people not be able to substitute on them and things. Now the running game is, you know, it's, I just think you bad. Yeah. When you get behind in games and it's no use of running. Well, you're getting behind because you're trying to run though, part. No, you're getting behind because your run defense is ass. That's the problem. I think your run defense makes your run offense not any good because all of a sudden teams are driving the ball on you and they're scoring and they're putting you behind. And what's the one way you have to catch up throwing the football? We saw that yesterday. They couldn't run because they're behind. The last two weeks, there's been no reason for them to run. They tried to run. They could run even when they were ahead against Cleveland, though. They didn't try. And I, and again, do I have to go back to the second half of the Cleveland game and tell you why you were right about that? But I didn't work on running. You didn't try to run. And I weren't going to fix it in a half against Cleveland. But you least can figure out, you can figure out though, Dawson, that the fact that you might not have a damn running game. Instead of instead right now, you know, you're sitting there going, Oh, wow. Well, maybe nice. And there and what's their statement to us? Their statement is, Oh, we haven't had enough opportunities. BS, you had opportunities in week one. You didn't take advantage of it. Now that's why you are. Yeah, the backs of the back's been good. That'll, I'm surprised that'll average four yards a carry yesterday, to be honest with you. Yeah, I was expecting not to be a big negative game for the backs and stuff like that. You also got to a point where they were willing to give you any time you want to just run the ball for four yards, you know, with the way that game got out of hand, they're willing to give you for any, any, any running play when you're that far behind is, is a, is a negative play. Right. It's not going to help you get back in that game. So to me, they don't know if they can run the ball or not. The offensive, I don't know. I watch the offensive line. Sometimes they block it. Well, we're talking about expected yards per, you know, wow, that's amazing. Expected yards. They, they are leaving a lot of things on the field. Does that mean they can run the ball? If they're leaving expected yards on the field. They had a better run. It means if they had better running backs, according to that particular set of that, they're running back. Handy the ball to seek is a negative play. Yeah. Handy the ball to Dattle. It seems like to me, that would be a positive play. I was the first couple of drives. I was very surprised at the offensive line. I thought was getting some push. I mean, they, they go three yards for Dattle, six yards for Dattle, third and one. Then you get a penalty with spanned forward, right? The pre snap penalties were an issue too. They got to clean that up, but I thought the offensive line at least early until they really had to abandon the running game. They performed way better than I thought when it came to run blocking. I left saying their run blocking was better than the past blocking. There is, there's nothing they do to help their offensive lineman and run blocking the way they run the ball. No, it's a disgusting status. Nothing. There's no, there's nothing that they do scheme wise that helps them run the ball. They could help them run the ball. Totally. Not the way that they can, they currently, the currently, the way they run it. Yeah. There's nothing that they do with that. I know I'm running out of time. You're going to give me some time to talk about the defense. Yes, sir. Yeah. And this afternoon. We'll definitely carve it out. We got three hours to go. Okay. This is where, to me, if I could finish up this thing with the young guys with BB, where BB had problems yesterday with the offensive line with the twist stunt stuff. Yes. That's where I wasn't them off. People, it was, you saw them late. That's where the Ravens were able to kind of make some things happen inside was that BB was so locked in to the guy. He was trying to push to the, you know, push to one of the guards that he, when you get that locked in, it's hard for you to be able to adjust back. And there were a couple different times where they got pressure in the middle because BB was too engaged to his guy. He's just got to shove that guy and look for the twist. You know, don't go too far down and don't go too far outside. You got to stay right where you need to be. And then that guy could come to you. And that way, you won't be giving up the pressure, but they gave up some pressures inside just because BB was trying to help push that guy all the way to the guard. You just got to shove him and be ready for that guy coming, big guy coming over the top. So I'll talk about, like I said, I'll talk about the defense. Because I think there's some things about this, this cowboy defense with the run game stuff, the run defense stuff. They need to, of course, need to do a lot better. But I think there's some things that they can actually build on. And we'll talk about that next time around. Yeah, we'll carve out some time there at 534. Sounds crusty corner defensive edition. Nice pink shirt, by the way, Brian, I think that's good look for you. Okay, college football super segment coming up, which one of you knows bleeder's has this for us. Mike McCarthy press conference coming up towards the end of this hour scheduled for four 45 top 10 at four twenties coming up here in about 20 minutes is time now for a college football super segment. Let it fly. We'll check. Oh, yeah. Well, the number one team of the country, they got themselves another victory. That would be the Texas Longhorns. They remain number one in the recent AP poll that was just released. And now they're getting ready for their first SEC showdown against Mississippi State after Texas beating up Louisiana Monroe 51 to three in arch manning's debut. Did you guys see the line for this this week's game versus Mississippi State? Okay. I know it was crazy large. I saw it yesterday. I can't remember the exact number like 35 and a half 36 and a half is Mississippi State. I think lost their starting quarterback this weekend. Not a good situation for them. But that's an embarrassment. Well, how do you think arts looked? Art. So he did throw an interception on his first drive. Got hit as he threw. I think it might have been was it his first attempt? That it might actually have been. I think it was I think it was the ball down the down their throat. They get into the red zone and then boom. Here goes arch with the tip interception. Yeah. I believe because I saw it was two totally. It's the symmetry. It was the symmetry for yeah, arch manning's for. Okay. It was this first drive ends with the interception versus Monroe, which is also the same way. Quinn yours's career started. Wow. How about Texas? Which was his first drive? It was versus Monroe and it ended in an interception as well. It was crazy. Cause I had the three TV screen set up, which is glorious for college football. So I'm watching Jackson Arnold, then guy or product throws an interception for OU. Then boom, there's arch manning with an interception and then Chandler Morris, Highland Park, selling for the North Texas main green. Just running in for a touchdown. I'll tell you what to the main green big win as well over Wyoming. I found myself kind of bouncing around. I was watching and I was interested in bowling green in Texas A&M was kind of going back and forth. It was like pulling green was trying to pull the upset. Matter of fact, A&M had to make a had an interception there to kind of seal the game off. And then I was interested in Colorado and Baylor. That was a pretty okay. So Colorado Baylor probably was the game of the weekends. I mean, it was outstanding. Obviously, Texas. So Oklahoma, very big. I mean, he ended up Tennessee day there at Tennessee. Yeah, Tennessee, Oklahoma, first game in the SEC for the Sooners. Carter for him, I believe, wasn't attendance for that game. But hey, Josh Hypelsker. I mean, the defense was sensational. Now, unfortunately, Jackson Arnold does get hurt. Michael Hawkins Jr. comes in the game. That's a Frisco product there at quarterback, but hit the back door cover from the Sooners there. If you ended up taking the 11 and a half. Now, that line ended up going down to six and a half. My buddy Jared Jenner that he is. He's also a crazy Texas fan. He hates. Oh, you so much. He went ahead, paid extra, took the 11 and a half spread for Tennessee to cover to try and make some more money. They got the back door 25 to 15. Tennessee gets the win over. Oh, you. So a very bad beat for him. I'll tell you what, Oklahoma's defense did look pretty good. I mean, they were able to, they were able to be pretty physical. I mean, Dylan Sampson's been a monster running all over everybody. And he was under four yards per carry there for Tennessee. But Tennessee, obviously the better team. Jackson Arnold, you mentioned at quarterback, before he got hurt, he ended up in Carter informed me of this. It was a 1.3 QBR. That's what Jackson Arnold, the starting quarterback for OU, was putting out that turnover. The interception was bad in the fumble. It was like, man, you can't do that for reference. That means the computers telling you that Jackson Arnold gave his team the Sooners a 1.3% chance to win the football game. I guess they're defense played well enough to give them a shot. I mean, no use defense hung in against a really good Tennessee offense. I thought Tennessee would win that game more handedly than they did. But hey, Sooners played tough. I flipped on and watched a little floor to state. Got their first win. Got their first win. DJU, they did. And they got their first win. I know John Machota still didn't look very happy yesterday when I saw him. I said, John, I said, John attacks. I said, Hey, congrats. And he, he sent me back the laughing emoji. They eat one out, dude. They were, I mean, it was bluebirds. It was like the worst. If you didn't know any better, you would think they have lost the game. Like they only scored. They went between nine 14 points. Yeah. Yeah. Not still not a good game. It was crazy. The rest of the AP, Georgia is number two. They got 13 first place votes followed by Ohio State and Alabama at number four. So we get Georgia Alabama coming up and Alabama is a rare home underdog to Georgia. So you've got number two versus number four Saturday in Tuscaloosa. And on Monday, is that a two 30 game? I think it will be. But then again, I never know now, like it used to be for certain that was two 30. I don't know. Maybe it's a prime time game. Oh, that's right. We got, we got ESPN working now. Can we bring back like a Vern Lundquist and Gary Danielson, Tracy Wilson on the sidelines this one? I'm missing that on my Saturday. It's six 30 kick. Yeah. Okay. This is one of those ESPN. This is a, well, this is going to be probably then it'll probably be Herbie Herb Street. Yeah. And Fowler. Yeah, probably will be heard. They do a good job. Her street was calling out the OU players for fake and injuries and stuff. Was he? Yeah. I'll throw to the hodgepodge. I'm like, I'll give you the details on it. But yeah, he was, he was calling them out saying they were fake and injuries. Okay. 908 is saying Arnold got benched. I thought he got a little hurt there. But maybe, maybe you're right. They just bugged a bench. I mean, he played poorly. So he probably, I mean, it would make sense. But this is the first time in 90 straight home games that Alabama is going to be playing as the underdog. Wow. How about that, huh? And what'd you say it was again? I think it's like a two point two favorite for Georgia. So it's nothing crazy. And maybe that line will end up changing. But I think the moment of the night was the Hail Mary, Shador Sanders on Saturday, 38, 31 Travis Hunter is absolutely brilliant. You mentioned him earlier, but what a freaking throw from Shador to be. I mean, he did it twice. Is that twice? They set it up at the two yard line. If there was a catch made, they would have had first down and goal. They're probably with like two seconds left. And then they dropped that. So last play of the game, the Hail Mary unbelievable. And now David Rand on his staff at Baylor looking at each other. I don't, I don't think that they're making it, man. I think they're already sourcing Texas States coach. You know, it's funny that Dave Aranda, like only a few years ago, had his team in the sugar bowl. Yeah. And ever since then, they've been so bad. To do day and age, man. He was the guy that had all the answers built, built the culture, had accountability. Dave Aranda was the toast of the town. He was like, he was literally, he was spanking his assistant coaches on the sideline. Remember that? Yeah. I'll take a little celebrated for it. The minute he gets fired, I'll take him back at LSU as the defensive coordinator. Yeah. I will absolutely take that guy back as a DC. You guys are taking a, taking a big loss here and told me this yesterday during the Cowboys. Oh, this is, this is not good for us. Oh, yeah. Harold Perkins, Jesus, not good. We don't know how to use him. That's what so unfortunate is we have no idea that he plays way too much in coverage and all ball linebacker. And we really don't have a good plan for that one. Well, this is a killer. He's a projected first round pick. He's going to be out for the remainder of the season. Thing you can do is rush. ACL tear. Yeah. He can rush. So how's this going to impact now his draft status then? Cause we also have a corner that got her at his ACL and he's Carolina. Yeah. That was projected to be a first round. Yeah. My, my scouting buddies that have that area that East Carolina, he said, that, that quarter, that corner might be in the second best corner in the country in East Carolina, the mighty Pirates. How about SMU? They got some top 25 votes for the first time. Bank TCU. They did last iron skillet game and you end up getting the coach ejected. Yeah. It was an incredible moment. Sunny D. Sunny D take a seat. I mean, yeah, it's for TCE right now. They're doing some soul search. No love for James Madison jumping all over North Carolina. This one. That was brutal for North Carolina. And I think Mac Brown afterwards, he did. He says, I'm not going anywhere. But he said it was embarrassing that ACC school would lose to these guys. Yeah. Well, he, he's taking full responsibility for, for that. And he said, I shouldn't have put that much pressure on the team. I'm disappointed. I love my pressure. I love these kids. I love this place. That's why I hate losing so much. Cause he threatened to step down. Yeah. They were seven. They scored 70 points on him. I mean, honestly, I'm sure a lot of fans were thinking, Mac, we want you to step down. Yeah. Like you, we just lost 70. I mean, 70 to 50 to James. And now James Madison's got the James Madison's got a good program, but I mean, goodness gracious. Yeah, but they hung a 70 on a burger on you. Ben and Nuchi, Ben and Nuchi, James Madison guy. Oh, why did you do that? Well, yeah, football guys. I mean, I figured I could like tee that up and you'd say, yeah, man, Ben and Nuchi, jam you. Yeah, you nailed it. There we go. Football guy. Why did I think? Why did I think that Ben and Nuchi was probably at four schools? Was he like it pit and James Madison? He wasn't pit quality. Okay. I thought he got recruited. How many schools was he at? They went with just JMU man. Really? He was a loyalist. Yeah, drafted by your coach, McCarthy McCarthy. Yeah, he sure did. And that's another thing. I mean, like, I don't know exactly what Mike McCarthy's doing to give them an advantage on game days. I mean, you're supposed to be an offensive coach. This offense looks absolutely terrible. Man, this is just, I don't know, like I'm going to ask Stephen Jones that on Friday. Like, in your opinion, what do you think Mike McCarthy does to give you a competitive advantage on game days? Here we go. So it's a fair question. It's a great question. It's a great question. There's now like PR, you can get them right for that. You know, somebody over there's listening right now. But I don't, I really don't know the answer to that. I'm still searching myself. No, I mean, he and Jason Garrett are both from a school of thought that requires you to have the players that win, you know, so you got to be better at them at a bunch of spots or your dams going to break and a guy's going to fire him and blow up your play. So that's why it's so important to, you know, have, have Shanahan or McVey tactics on your side offensively. My Huskers blew it, guys. Yeah, I was going to matter of fact, I watched that game. Friday night. Yeah, that was immediately I thought of you and you're going on and on about that overrated program that's Nebraska. At least it wasn't in Lincoln. They had been over. It was in Lincoln. You know, this year, it's been, oh, it was in Lincoln here. It was in Lincoln that we had the whole, it was there whatever sellout, whatever it was. Yeah, there is selling out there selling out. Gosh, Ryola had a chance, dude. It's third, it's third down. It's, it's a wide open dude. What in the end zone? Well, he was wide open in the end zone. He had a chance there. And then of course they end up, uh, and you know, morning experience there for the freshmen, you got beat by Brent Dilima. It's, look, yeah, you're right. I'm, I've claimed Nebraska. So you have, you have claimed Nebraska. We got bet, but we got beaten by it's not Brit, Brett, it's Brett, Brett, Brett, yeah, Brett Dilima. Brett Dilima, then that was a Brit. I said Brett Dilima, didn't I? I think you nailed it. I thought I said that. I think you'd, you'd probably trust the pronunciation. Hey, who's the center for the Baltimore Ravens? Oh, uh, yeah. Yeah. Linder bomb guy. We want it. Could we get instead? Linder bomb, right? Yeah. Linder bomb. Is that the wrong way to say you saying Linden bomb yesterday during the pregame? That was the Tyler Smith year worked out. Okay. Yeah. Worked out. Okay. Linder bomb. Yeah. Worked out. Linder bomb. Linder bomb. Linder bomb. Whatever. Tomato tomato, huh? Linder ass off whatever we did. That was a short arm thing. Right. Why they didn't want linder bomb. No, he was too good. Yeah. He was too good. It was a, it was a different body part. They had issues with linder bomb. Well, spell that might be true. Well, speaking of Dylan Rayola, his, uh, his brother Dominic is going to join him. Why are you calling to tell me that I was saying it wrong? I texted Eric. I thought maybe he'd pass along to you. Oh, Eric was not doing anything he's supposed to do. Oh, really? I thought he had a ice cream sundae. I did. I bailed on that so quickly. Hey, we got out of there, you know, borderline unscathed. Yeah. I felt bad when we had to throw it to break there when Christie was still giving us some info. Some chocolate syrup on those Fritos. Yeah. Exactly. Hey, a caramel and caramel too. Frito might be better purposed as a treat than a snack. Just saying. I think it's a magical pairing with that vanilla. I just feel bad about the Christie thing. That's Peyton's fault. That's not your fault. What happened? What happened? Yeah. It was just the, the, the, we have the hard out going into that final hour and, you know, Christie's on the field giving us her report and unfortunately she was not well, she was making it with in terms of what the hard out was. So she just, you know, she's chatting and I should have just stepped in and say, I'm sorry, Christie, we got to go, you know, but I wasn't, you know, I didn't have my alpha confidence yesterday, I guess, to just cut her off like that. So I let the commercial break just do it. So she's right to a commercial. You know, this is one of those games lawyers need on your side. Oh, okay. She texted me. Don't worry about it. I go page. This is generally in the bowl. That's generally way to throw Peyton out of the bus, though. That's the MVP of the day. He claims that sometimes he still was yelling in the year, like 30. Yeah. 10. I'm like, Peyton, stop. Well, Eric had to tell him, please don't do that. Yeah, I'll probably have to say that next week. 30 is okay. Thursday. One of those. Yeah, I don't need five, four, three, two. Well, great college football. We can look forward to more next week. I love it. Thank you. Well, Chuck, a college football super segment is in the books. It's time now for a top 10, right? Top 10 at four, 20 coming up next. So I was going to do like the top 10 thoughts from the Cowboys game might just pass things over to Brian to talk about their defense. We'll talk about, yeah, how the cowboy defense played. We'll do that next. Yeah, buddy. Welcome back. It is the G back nation here on one. Oh, five, three, the fan believe we're going to get some crusties corner. 2.0 right here and focus in on that defense segment of the nation brought to you by the Frankel's life. Unpredictable accidents happen. Franklin, Frankel, the go to attorneys for car and truck wrecks and DFW. If you or a loved one has been in an accident, contact the Frankel's for a free consultation, two, one, four or eight, one, seven, three, three, three, three, three, three, three, three, go online to Frankel firm.com. We're about 20 minutes away from big Mike's pressure. Here's Brian with some more of the corner. Thank you very much general. Appreciate that. Appreciate by allowing me to do this. She would bill bell check said today about your Dutch Dallas Cowboys on defense. Same team, right? Issues are fixable. This is the same thing they ran into last year. Look at the draft. The draft is over for agency is over. I wouldn't expect a lot of big trades here. I think there's enough talent and Dallas to get this thing straight now, but they got to look in the mirror and look at each other in the eye and say we're going to do it. Yeah, Mike says they have too many people trying to be Superman. You know what? I don't know. This is where I'm at a disadvantage now. And I used to have an advantage because when I'd watch tape, I could walk down the hall and ask somebody a question. And I probably could text the defensive coordinator and ask him a question, but he's up to his rear and alligators right now. Probably didn't want to be hearing from me. But I wonder if there's some things that they have tried to do scheme wise. You know, when I mentioned the crash ends and he played some 5-2 in that game. He played some 5-2 last week and it kind of worked for him. And it just did it a couple of times. In this game, it seemed to work for him a little bit. But I wonder if where these fits are. And I keep using the word fits because when you're playing against a team that runs the way that well, especially against the Ravens because of all the read option stuff, you've got to play, you got somebody's got to take the ball and then somebody's got to take the defender without the ball. You know, you got it. You got your playing kind of that way. And it's not easy to prep for in a week. But and then that's where they talk about preparation. You know, did they do everything? The study was everybody on, you know, there's a lot of work that goes into defending this. But I wonder if the Cowboys just scheme wise tried something in this game with their edges and their linebackers weren't on the page and their safeties weren't on the page and their corners weren't on the page that they were going to try to say, okay, let's gamble a little bit with Micah. Let's gamble a little bit with with Tank and just play, see if we can force things if we could get there before the ball, you know, because they got they got they got beat a couple different times. I'll tell you another thing that that really hurt them in this game was was they're tackling or lack of you know, they were in position to have when you guys go back and you get your your NFL, the film that comes in the NFL network stuff or the boss. Yeah. Yeah. You're going to see, you're going to see some situations where they had guys in position to make plays. I know with over some dead, it's 17 missed tackles in that game yesterday, 12 of them on Henry. Yeah. In that in that football game. So to me, you know, that's one of those times where you look at it and you say, okay, we were in position, we couldn't finish that. I really did believe that when you look at Kendrick's, you know, when you look at overshone, you know, guys like that, those guys finish those guys are those guys, you know, when you watch them, they finish. But overshone didn't finish yesterday. You know, Kendrick's we ain't Kendrick's ledger team in tackles. But this is a problem with this team. When you, when you, when you, when you, when you get in position and you don't finish, then you have these huge plays, these explosive plays, these runs of 10 plus that they, they give up because they're, there are several times you're going to watch and go, Oh, that's pretty good run defense right there. You know, gain a three. Oh, another one, gain a three. And then all of a sudden they hit you for a 17 or a 15 or something like that because you didn't tackle. You didn't take the right angle. And you, you just didn't have a guy in the gap or somebody playing in the gap is because I was talking to John owning about this. And he was talking about the amount of single high that they're playing and how does that then put them at a number's disadvantage when you're playing specifically against a team like the Ravens where the quarterback can then run because now you're able to add another blocker for the quarterback that's on an accounted for. So now all the pressure is on say Donovan Wilson or whoever it is back there to fill. You don't have enough guys to be able to come up and rally. It seemed like to me though, and I need to go back and look at the metrics on this is that they played a lot of eight men in the box yesterday to try and I need to, I need to look at the chief. Do you have your next gen numbers up? Do they, do they give you that, that number where they say how many times they play in the box or the numbers they play in the box? I can try and find it here. Yeah, because I needed to, because I was, I was curious to say the thing that bothered me the most yesterday was the replacement or the lack of a replacement for a player that might have, you know, they're like, okay, we're going to take it. We're going to take a chance here. I mean, are you playing the scheme the right way? Yeah. And maybe that's when he's talking about hero ball and stuff like that. You know, are you doing what you absolutely have to do? They're calling them that they're playing P. We level football. Yeah. Well, I don't know if they're in the wrong place, they're just getting whipped on blocks. They're just getting blocked out of the play. I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you this, Dawson, seriously, the Saints game was worse than this one. Yeah, it really was the Saints game when you when you sit down and you just scored like six touchdowns in a row. Yeah. And you watch it, you're thinking like, like, okay, you understand the Saints physically just, I mean, there were guys on the ground in that game. This one, though, I just kind of feel like though, to me, that there was some fit problems and lack of, and lack of tackling problems that led to some self-inflicted stuff. We talked about Carson missing. That's a 57 yard play. Overshown in the hole. There was one time where it looked like it was going to be about a three yard gain. It ends up, Henry ends up to the outside and it's a 17 yards or, you know, it's, it was just, it was, it was hard to watch because they had guys in positions to make plays. They just couldn't finish the play. So to me, that's, I, when you start to look at this defense, is it, you know, the, the Saints like progress then. Well, it just got a long way to go. I don't know. Like I, I don't know, like yesterday I thought the, I thought the, I thought the scheme let them down more so than the scheme and their inability to finish that they got their ass handed to him against New Orleans. But I think when you watch this game, you're going to think, man, it didn't, it, because I left the game yesterday thinking that it was like the New Orleans game. And it really, and it really wasn't when you watch all 46 running plays or 48 running plays how much they had. And you're thinking, okay, good, good job there. Good job. Okay. Here's the bust. And, and they're trying so hard not to give up stuff on the edge now. They're trying to run everybody to the edge and get in position. And what happens is, they get everybody on one side of the field and then the ball just cuts back and they don't have anybody in, in, in position to, to make the, to make the play. You have to play with discipline. And I, I don't know if I could say yesterday, I didn't see all the discipline that you really, really need, especially with the way that Jackson runs the ball. And then when he pulls the ball, that's, I've never seen Michael frozen. I mean, Michael, hurt the Eagles. The Eagles to us. He wasn't sure like you could, you could see, but like he was literally like, Mar Jackson had him just completely. I think there's things. I think he was, I think he gets frozen because he doesn't trust what's happening behind him. I think that, I think that Mike up might be worried, like, okay, if I go flying down inside and try and make this play, is there somebody that's going to replace me on the edge? Yeah. But from what I understand, if you're that conflict player in the zone reader, the whatever read option, you got to go for one of them. You can't stop. Exactly. You're just in no man's land, you know, like commit to one of them at least. By the way, it's, it was 33.3% stacked box percentage for the cowboy yesterday. 33%. Yeah. So I saw a worker put out that the Ravens called 74% of their offensive plays is designed to runs, which is the most since 2006. 74% of that offense design runs at 161 yards before contact 113 after contact. I mean, a lot of it's just the individuals like DeMone Clark and Lea Fau aren't going to make plays. They're not going to diagnose properly. They're not going to close and finish the tackle properly. Your defensive tackles aren't good. And then you get the misdirection going, which draws me just a half step the wrong way before they flip it back the other. Now you're giving, you know, the offense leverage. Now I'm actually out of position. And even if I was in position, you would favor the other guy to beat me the majority of the times. The thing I think that Lea Fau played a ton against the Saints and wasn't good. He played, he played a little bit in this game yesterday, and he was much better. I don't know if he's your base player, but playing him limit, maybe some of the limits, some of his snaps helped him in that game yesterday. And playing overshown more might have hurt him a little bit. They need to figure out a balance there. And I know that overshown is one of your guys that can close and tackle and all that, but playing him, all those snaps, I think hurt him yesterday. They need, they need to, they need to get a better balance with those two guys. And Clark didn't play much at all in his football game. So we'll see, they also, like say, Carlos Watkins, I didn't think was in the snaps that he got. Yeah, I didn't think he was a negative player. I'm great overfill. Okay. I mean, Linville Joseph was off. Linville Joseph was not good at all. We got to talk. I got to ask you about Mazi though, because I remember yesterday, I was like, I think this might have been Mazi's best game. It was. It was. If you watch now, the thing with Mazi and you always, you know, the bar for him is low at times. Yeah, this was the most active he'd spend. This is the most disruptive he's been with throwing blocks off and getting to where he needed to be. There are a couple of times that they turned him and he lost the ball. And you could see it go through the middle and they were able to get positive plays out of that. Yeah. But if you watch him play, I say it again, the bar's kind of low for this guy. But this, this, as far as the Dallas Cowboys go, I'd be interested to see, and we'll see what pro football focused those that grade on him. But I don't think he was your worst defensive player yesterday. Well, pro football focused, John owning who will join us later this week. Yeah, he was, he was just raving specifically about the fourth quarter for Mazi Smith. Yeah, I think that Mazi, I think there was far more activity with him. There was far more of him getting rid of blocks. And there's still times where he's laid off the ball. There's still times you deal with that. And you can tell, but Linville Joseph is a liability for you right now. At that, he just can't move anymore. And they, and they really, they single block him. They don't really even double team block him anymore. No need. They single, they single block him. So that's a problem. But I feel like that when you look at OSSA, you look at Mazi, those were a couple of two of some, some of the, some positive guys in this, on this defense, I know it's the defensive tackles, but they were far, far worse against the Saints than they were yesterday. Well, thank you, Brian. Thank you. Trustees corner 2.0 here in the G bag nation. Most afternoons 340 here on the fan. Coming up next, it'll be time for the Mike McCarthy press conference. We'll get his thoughts on updated stories as you hit the late afternoon here on a Cowboys Monday on your home of the Cowboys 105 through the fan. Welcome back G bag nation. We'll hear what kind of words Mike McCarthy puts to the Cowboys defeat here coming up in just a minute standing by for the Mike McCarthy press conference here on your home of the Cowboys 105 three the fan Dallas Cowboys coverage brought you by your North Texas Ford dealers. Ford is the best in Texas. You know, I feel acceptance. This is a really interesting type deal after the disappointment of last year, you had a little bit of excitement coming at a training camp with so many players showing that they might be, you know, viable participants of a rotation. And then the win over Cleveland got people optimistic. And here we are after back to back, very sound home defeats. I expected maybe a little bit more disappointment, vitriol, passion, anger. But it's almost like the collective thought from legends and fans and media members is like, Oh yeah, this is a, you know, about what we expected. And even even the Jones boys don't seem too urgent about getting after fixing this. I think we expected it for the Ravens game. I didn't think we expected for the Saints game. Yeah, I think that's the one. If you were going to, as we played the win loss, loss, win game, you know, as we do when the schedule comes out, I think people penciled this thing in as an L. What was the vibe like last night in the post game show for you guys? I mean, there definitely were a lot of ticked off people. I mean, it's, it's embarrassing. Now I think that maybe for some fans, like the fourth quarter, they make that game close and they're in it. Maybe something crazy can happen. Like they beat the Falcons a couple of years ago. That might have been able to remedy something to where, okay, can you hear that over the next week? But yeah, I think that we all picked Baltimore. So I think that's it. That's a fair point. Like I do think that most fans probably acknowledged they're not going to stop Derek Henry and Lamar Jackson. But I think the growing sentiment is just, this is, it's Jerry, it's Jerry's fault. Jerry can, he needs to look in the mirror and this one's on him. I mean, we've, we've talked about a lot of the same problems that they just went and completely did not correct and remedy this off season. So I think now I brought it up himself. He did. You know, when we were at the senior bowl, Jerry talked about what do you need to do to be better? You need to stop the run and run the ball better. And they're really, that's, that's the one thing that you, you know, the, maybe a couple of things you look at right now, when you just say, okay, you, you saw what your issues were and you know, you really didn't do much to Remy it. So you draft harsh on Neil and okay, you know, but that's a rookie that you're expecting now to come in and save the day for you. They did fix the linebackers, but again, scheme and linebackers see, you know, but defensive tackles pretty much the same. Well, they veterans. Yeah, they are worse. They're in a situation right now where, excuse me, they're, they're the thing with, you know, they were, they drafted Mazzy Smith and they were not going to, I don't believe they were going to do anything. They were going to see, okay, let's see if Mazzy in year two could be better. You know, that that right or wrong, that's, that was their, their thought going in. They weren't going to be interested in adding more defensive tackles. You know, they thought, okay, we've got Mazzy. Let's see what happens in year two. Oh, we've got oh, so diggy Zawag, he plays. Well, okay, let's see how that goes. It didn't seem like to me that they were very interested in adding anybody else. Remember, Golston started off at defensive tackle and they moved him to, to defensive end. So they, they felt like that with Mazzy and Carl Davis, they drafted Rogers, you know, hey, we'll, we'll be okay. Well, they don't have the house in order financially. So like everyone else can go ahead and so Jerry makes a comment. We couldn't afford Derek Henry. So today, what do you got? Boom, pro football talks got an article. All right. You could have afforded Derek Henry. Henry's deal with the Ravens, 5.105 million cap hit. Cowboys currently have 25.8 million in cap space. Now I can know what you're going to say. They didn't at the time. All right. I said that last night. Is that true? Well, so eventually they give the deal to CD lamb that clears more than nine million in cap space. Okay. Then 10 million is cleared in cap space with Dak Prescott. Okay. Instead, the Cowboys sunk two million dollars then into a reunion with Zeke who we saw. We're they already paying Zeke dead money too. Well, let's get money. We don't deal with him. They're doubling down on that. Okay. How much already have like six, six, maybe eight million dead cap form already? So that's 10 million dollars right there for for Zico Elliot. Yeah. So if you don't drag your seat on the contracts and you actually do want to improve your roster this year instead of just waiting to the last minute, which is how they operate, you could have freed up money. If you really did want to go out there and make an addition, but they didn't, they didn't. No, they didn't want to because they want to be able to take that money for this year's cap space and roll it over for next year. Yeah. I just would have felt better if you said, Hey, we had absolutely no interest in Derek. Right. Just be honest. Just just man, you know, and and by not by not signing them, they really didn't have any interest in it. I call how you guys sold out there feel it eight, seven, seven, eight, one, one, five, three, the two, one, four says the opposite of love is not hate. It's apathy. People are apathetic now towards the Cowboys. I think that I think a lot can be said for that. But like the eight, one seven says, here we go, negative Dawson trying to tell everyone to give up after two losses. No, what I'm saying is I already gave up on this team years ago, actually, because they continue the same blueprint. I'm just saying like now more and more people are catching up to me. Like, you know, kind of laughing at the TV screen while they're getting their butts kicked instead of throwing the remote, like this is all very foreseeable at this point. If you still want to hold out hope, I salute you. I think it takes all sorts of fans to make a sports world go around. And, you know, Jerry and the Cowboys really need you guys out there. If you're still believing, you know, you're, you're keeping the bandwagon going for them. And, you know, you guys are the kind of fans they're speaking to when, when Jerry says, I don't see a problem out there. We don't need another running back. I like all of our personnel. You know, I just, I do feel like though for a big portion of the fan base, you know, they've reached an end to it. Will it start to show up in the TV ratings? You know, they won't and why it won't is because there's just as many people that like the Cowboys, probably more that hate them and they love hate watching them. So the ratings are up. People want to see the train wreck. They do. So even if it's cowboy fans, and say, bleep this, we're not paying attention, the rest of the country, there's a reason why every single show, whether it's ESPN, Fox Sports one, they're always talking about the Cowboys, even if it's the offices and Cowboys haven't done anything, let's generate some sort of Cowboys topic. Because as many love to laugh and make fun of them as love them and hope they win. I would agree, but I, I do think like your core fan base, them becoming apathetic, if they stop watching that, that'll be measurable in some way. Like the hate watchers will be there, but this is a lot of football left to go 15 weeks. It's gonna be a long, it's gonna be a long year. And I don't know how many wins they have. I think they probably beat, they get four wins out of their division, probably one way or another, maybe five. And then you have the Carolinas and Atlantis of the world, Pittsburgh's, you know, they're going to give you somewhat of a chance to win and stay relevant. But you know, if by Thanksgiving, you've played such bad football that the playoff situation is, is out of the question, it'll be really interesting. Because this is unlike any year that I've seen covering this football team, even when they're mediocre, there was still hope. If they're two and five at the buy, they're going to ride this thing, aren't they? They're just going to ride it out. Yeah. You know, and see what happens with the coach and all that stuff like that. They're not going to make any moves, right? I don't think so in terms of like firing. No, fire and it's way of going to get players. Oh, I think it would depend on if this thing is two and five. Okay. Yeah. Say it the division. Say the Eagles or you're five and two or you're two and five and they're say they're five and say they're out of it. Yeah, then yeah, I'm with you. If they're two and five, but there's like a game or two out of the division, because the division's bad, which very likely could be, then they might try and pull, you know, in a Mario Cooper like deal and do something. Well, Greg Grasiano was thrown a Mario Cooper back to the Cowboys. Apparently a Mario Cooper's on the chopping block there. And the Cowboys are one of like five teams. You listed that are going to be interested in them. Yeah, I would be shocked if they make a move. I think they look at this and say we have so many holes. We just need to stand in here and draft a couple of more cycles and try to flush this thing out because whatever we spend on trying to fix this year isn't going to push us over the top. I mean, going back in time, I think if you got Derek Henry and actually had the ability to play ball control offense and keep your defense off the field, you might be able to make it go. Like I'm kind of surprised the Cowboys have punted to this extent. But to me, it's just, you know, it really confirms the idea that they're going through a rebuild. They don't really have any any commitment to trying their best to contend. Their all in move was going and and getting cooks in Gilmore a couple of years ago. And now that that whole thing has has played out, it wasn't nearly enough. But that was all they had. And the fact that, you know, Stephen was talking this morning about how we have $45 million still do on Dak Prescott's deal while we're starting a new one at $60 million per year. It's going to, you know, if it's going to take a while to get the cap into a spot where they can make another push at addressing their needs in a meaningful way. And the way you get to that day is spending a couple of years to cleanse it to to reset it. So I don't, I don't think the Cowboys are going to, even though I think with a good running back, you know, you could, you could see them making a legitimate playoff push. But without it, with these guys trying to run the football, like Rico Dottle is the best thing you got. He is. And it's 3.8 an attempt. Yeah. You know, again, I was surprised he got four carry against that bunch yesterday. Yeah. I mean, there was some, you know, they just, they never, they're not in a game to be able to run. You know, they're behind. They're down 28 to six in games and stuff like that. In the Orleans game, they were behind. I mean, but even when they are running, there's nothing that gives you. Oh, there's no, it doesn't, it's not, it's not running. Well, no, you're right. Only team without a running back to have a 10 yard run. Yeah. That's true. It's like they got no explosive plays there. Mike McCarthy taking a few extra minutes getting to the podium here. Should we stand by or throw to break Lucius? Yeah, go to break. All right. Well, step aside. We'll jump in here when Mike McCarthy starts talking at reporters and we're back with that here in the G back name. Hey, Mike Villeney here, host a cash to ticket alongside my partner, Jim Costa. It's really simple. Are you tired of podcasts claiming they're a bunch of pro betters when they live in their mommy's basement? Are you tired of podcasts that claim they hit 80% of the games? When really, they just lose like most of us think has to tickets the spot for you. We're real. We're transparent. We're having a little bit of time with it. And we sit there and we're there for the sweat with you guys. We're just trying to figure it out just like you. Follow and listen to cash the ticket on the free Odyssey app or wherever you get your podcasts. Alright, here we go. Mike McCarthy press conference at the star here on your home of the Cowboys. So expression of emotion, you know, on Sundays always creates potential narratives and so forth. But based off our work today, you know, what needs would needed to be said has been said. And you know, we're, we're on the giants. We've, you know, we put in first, second, and third down today. So it's been a full day. Mike Todd Archer with ESPN, what needed to be said today in your mind? Well, just like anything. I mean, I'm not going to get into specifics or, you know, this isn't, you know, show and tell. That's, it's about what being accountable. And, and, you know, we didn't have a whole lot of time to spend on corrections. So we did that in the beginning part of it. And we had to move right into the giants. So, you know, every time you compete, there's, there's plenty of corrections. You know, we obviously had too many. But, you know, we're still in position to win the game. So, and that's, and that's something that, you know, will not get lost. You know, it's part of the evaluation because it's factual. And, you know, the things that you look at, you know, just, just the one statistic that stands out for, you know, over top of all the other ones where the execution was not in our favor. You know, we were plus two in the big play category. And, you know, so that, that tells you to put you, you know, you're in position to win a game. You know, we, we got to make one more of those big plays. Offensively, with how you guys played for after most of the fourth quarter, you're in a two minute situation. Considering this low starts, do you ever think like that's a way to kind of jumpstart to open up that way? Or can you go tempo that? I mean, we know how to offense is, you know, we've done it in the past, you know, I've done it throughout my whole career. But, you know, that's not where we are right now. You know, we need to, you know, the efforts here, the execution is, is what we focused on. Yeah, I'm going to show it with the athletic. We talked to George Lewis today. He mentioned over and over again about having to be more detailed on defense. When you watch the game over again, just on the defensive side, is it the small detail thing? Or what do you think it is? Well, it's totally small details. That's all the way through the team. I mean, the defense had, you know, more of it than, than, than you like. But yeah, the details, you know, you know, knowing the details, breach confidence, confidence makes you play faster, keeps you connected. So we need, we need to, we need to do that throughout our old team. So we got work to do. Calvin Watkins, Dallas Morning News. We've talked about the details the last two weeks. Is it a little frustrating that we're continuing to have these discussions with you? Well, I think the biggest thing is you got to look at, you know, what they are, you know, I mean, continued mistakes or the things you have to definitely eliminate, especially if it's, you know, the pre snap penalties. You know, those, I mean, to start the game the way we did, I mean, that, you know, that's a kick in the ass. I mean, you take, you take the ball for a reason and you got three penalties, you know, you know, obviously on the kickoff and then, you know, two on the first drive. So I mean, that's not the way you want to start a football game. And, you know, that's, so I mean, it's, it's, it's those things that you got to make sure you stay on top of. We're going to, you know, we're going to have some bumpy times. That's, that's part of, you know, just where we are, as far as new defense, you know, young players playing and, but we need to be better. And we, you know, we had a chance to win that game. The slow start did not help. Bell and Carson were today. He got a short week. What did he say? Tomorrow, I'll give you a better idea. So, you know, I thought they both did what they needed to do today. But yeah, it's, we'll know more tomorrow with both of those guys. Sadh, you said the athletic mic. Where do you stand kind of on pre snap motion offensively? What does it do? What, what advantage can it give the offense when you do implement it? And, and how much do you prefer to have that in your offense? I mean, it's, it's, it's part of the, you know, winning the pre snap, potentially. You know, whether you're, you know, trying to change, you know, challenge the odd discipline of the defense, you know, create landmarks, get in reduced splits, get out of reduced splits. I mean, there's, there's, there's benefits to it. So, but I think like anything, you have to have a, a menu of a number of things in this league, especially over a 17 game period. You talked to you last year after the San Francisco game about CD lamb and his body language and stuff. I know you asked about it last night, but just the next day, do you have any conversations with him after, after that? I'm worried about, not worried about the only thing I'm focused on our passing game is we got to get a complete completion percentage up. So, it starts with the play caller. I throw the ball 51 times and you're not north of 60%. That's where my focus is. And that's where everybody's focus needs to be. The hairs will start tailgaring Monday. You said you guys don't have a ton of time for corrections this week, but with Jordan Lewis talking about details, Michael Parsons last night talking about accountability. How do you kind of work those conversations in this? Pretty dramatic there, Nick. I'll tell you, you must practice that one. He's, I mean, well, hey, Thursday schedule. I mean, that's where we're on. I mean, it's, we didn't win the game. So, I think that's, that's, that's part of where we are. I mean, so, yeah, I think they do a good job of, you know, answering your questions. It's emotional after the game. So, I'm not, I'm not ever going to referee emotion on the field or after a game. Aaron. Aaron Kazen is a little, a little, a little star live. Martin Smith played, played a whole ton in there. I think he had a career high and snapped. How would he evaluate defensive line in general? And why do you think he? I can't give you really evaluations, because actually we didn't go through grading evaluation today. So, I don't have the one on one evaluations that, so, but yeah, I thought Mazzy, especially the week that he went through, you know, for him to go out there and play as much as he did, I mean, I was proud of him. And I can't work at WFBA. Given what you've seen from the three running backs, what's your inclination as far as this being a week might live in doubt? I'm not, I'm not here to make any, you know, decisions or proclamations on, on what's next. So, like I said, we got first, second, and third done in. Standards with the APM. I'm making talks to in the past about, you know, getting up quick starts kind of being on the menu of prep during the week. I just wondered, after two slow starts in a row, is there any feeling on your part of kind of re-emphasizing that and how much you do that during the week? I guess it's a short week, too. Re-emphasize over how we already do it or? Yeah, I mean, you re-emphasize. I imagine, for sure, week, you know, we have, we have a session on, we call it fast start, impure is finished Friday. So, it's an emphasis on the beginning of the game, how we feel the beginning of the game is going to go. We spent a lot of time at the end of the game. You know, we put a lot of time investing in situations. So, we won't have a traditional Friday this week. So, we got to build that into the Saturday type schedule, which would be Wednesday. So, you know, Thursday schedule puts you on a different schedule. So, but we'll still, we'll still emphasize it. Jared, care for LCB sports, Mike, you talked about during the draft sort of building out your team with the idea of, you know, who you're going to see regularly facing Dexter Lawrence, the Giants, D-line with the younger O-line. What's the challenge of that? How are you carrying those guys for that? Well, I mean, Dexter's a huge challenge regardless, you know, who you line up with as far as, you know, youth, you know, in particular with our young guys. So, yeah, I mean, it's a lot of respect for him. He's played very well so far. I mean, you can see it. He's a presence in there. He demands, you know, double teams and so forth. But I think their line as a whole. I've been impressed with so far. Christy. Christy Scales, Kepler's Radio and Fan. Short week, it is a familiar opponent, but they do have a new defensive coordinator. So, what kind of wrinkle is that? And I knew he went against him with the Titans. Is there anything that will fund that? Yeah, definitely. You know, Kellen called it back then. But, you know, it's it's different. You know, it's something that, you know, in the summer we talked about. You know, you got three games to look at. They've all been different. Frankly, the way he's called it. So, that that has stood out. But yes, we've done some historical work on them. Mike, look, he played 30 steps yesterday and some of it was in protection and things like that. What do you like about him in protection? And also, as a guy who catches up with it. Hunter's a fine football player. He's really earned these opportunities. He's, you know, he's a four down player. He's not just a full back. He can be a one back. You know, he can be a, you know, three surface player, four surface player. I mean, he had a big catch, you know, on the keep there on third one. So, he's earned those opportunities. And, you know, I think it has been reflected in his, but in his play time. You mentioned the lack of division percentage. I mean, off the side of the wall to get that up. The Raymond's secondary real five seats played a lot of press as well. With the completion percentage being down, the separation was actually, it was difficult for the receivers to separate it sometimes. How do you, how do you take on that responsibility as a play caller? Do you feel like you need to, in those moments, do things to help those guys? Or do you feel like that's delegated to them when they're match-ups? Oh, yeah. I mean, that's all, that's all part of it. You have, you have a game playing. You have in-game decisions. You know, we went to a two minute, you know, they're in a fourth quarter. So, yeah, definitely those, those are, those are the things you're talking about there during the course of the game. And that's, that's part of the adjustment. Are you, when you look at your team right now, do you have to say, do they understand what's happening? Or do you have to just say, look, we're in a two-game leadership, we got to get together. But do they know we got to get to act again? How much do you kind of talk to them about those types of things? I talk to them every day. I have a team meeting every day. I have an opportunity to obviously talk to the offense more. But yeah, we understand where we are. We're one and two. Yeah. Better first division game in front of us. All righty. Thank you, Mikey. Thank you, Mikey. There it is. The Mike McCarthy Press Conference here on your home of the Cowboys 105-3, the fan. Wow. Some tense moments in there. Sounds like he, you know, made a, had a go at Nick Harris, Fort Worth Start Telegram. Spicy. But yeah, frustration is definitely running high, probably short on sleep as well with the New York Giants game. A must win. I don't know how confident I can be right now if the Cowboys are going to beat the Giants. A team who also handled Cleveland yesterday fairly handily. What do you think, Lucius? Are we breaking here? Okay, let's take a break. We'll come back. We'll recap more of that. Maybe get you some football's finest and everything breaking here in the world of sports throughout the day. That's coming up next here in the nation. Here we go. Our 4G back nation on a Cowboys Monday on 105-3, the fan just coming off of a Mike McCarthy Press conference here on your home of the Cowboys. Mike McCarthy said the team will know more tomorrow with cornerback Kaitlyn Carson shoulder and Marquise's bells ankle after the two did not practice today. It got spicy a few times talking about team leaders saying players need to be more professional and not play hero ball based off our work. What needs to be said was said and we're on to the Giants. He did not specify further on what was said today. What did you guys take away from Mike McCarthy's presser is there's no doubt his frustration as high as it's ever been here with the Baptist team? Definitely in the defensive mode for sure. And yeah, it's just it's not good right now. And he is he's not somebody that that really likes to be peppered with these with with all these questions about his team's issues. And he's already lashing out. This is three weeks into the season. My gosh, this is going to get long for him. I wonder because people are already doing the thing where they're projecting. Hey, where where does McCarthy lose his job here? And I wonder if if Jerry takes that thing all the way just because he doesn't want to pay somebody to not be here. He knows it's almost more of a stick in it to McCarthy to have to grind out a season like this if his team just sucks. I could see Jerry just no, you're just gonna we're just going to finish the season out with you. Yeah, you're going to be miserable the whole time. The minute that Mike loses the team, the minute that they stop playing for him, that's where you need to start to watch where where the change is made. He did with Wade Phillips. Back for Sunday night game. Yeah, they just quit when they when they they exactly they quit on Wade and I on a Sunday night in Green Bay. And when that happened, that's when he made the determination to go with Jason Garrett. That was at one and seven. Yeah. So the minute you see them not play for him, then that's when you need to start to be worried. If you're Mike McCarthy, you know, I think if if you don't bounce back Thursday and you're going on the road Thursday night football, which is always, you know, worth a couple of more points for the home team, then the Steelers game, it's going to be tough to score on them, you know, and then the Lions and the Niners, you know, this could be this could be one in six. I feel like if you don't beat the Giants, things could really get away from you going to Atlanta. I feel like right now that's kind of like a coin flip game. It feels like neither team is is that good Eagles, you know, Texans, commanders, and then back to the Giants. The schedule will soften up a bit for you as we get to the other side of Halloween and through December, but then, you know, you're going to have the Bengals and the Eagles and the Buccaneers in there sprinkled around the commanders. So, you know, I at this point, I would bet on Mike McCarthy still making it to the end of the year. But if the frustration is there, at some point, you need to like change head coaches just so you can like cleanse the palette. You know, if if frustration mounts and everybody's, you know, angry, then one way of trying to like at least get a fresh start, I think would be to fire the head coach and put a new voice up there. It's just so funny. Like, who would it be? If the defense is this bad, how do you promote Mike Zimmer is it's not going to be shot. He's bones, it becomes bones, bones, bones, yeah. One guy who could say, you know, what's it? He's just an head coach. I'll hear us. Bones has a head coach vibe to him. Maybe I'll have the assistant head coach title. I think they did that because of, you know, him not going to Washington Sanders. Yeah. But my gut feeling would be that bones would probably be your guy. Do you think Mike McCarthy makes it to the end of the year at this point? I do. Well, I do too. Yes. Yeah. I think the stubborn nature. I think Jerry would rather him just have to sit in this disaster. Yeah. Now, now the whispers will start to hear though, as we get to October and then into November, we'll be about Belichick and guys like that. Yeah. Let's let's take a break and we'll come back. We'll hit the express way and talk about what Belichick said. Is he already angling for this Cowboys job? I would definitely not appreciate it. If I was one Mike Zimmer and I saw what Bill had to say this morning with Pat McAfee, we're back to give you that in the rest of the developing world of sports and then we'll hit the express way and get to LA live here coming up in 540. It's the G back nation of the fan shoot. Yeah. It's time now for the expressway brought you by the on time experts. A lot going on on this Cowboys Monday here on 105 three, the family have LA live coming up here at 540 Bill Belichick with Pat McAfee today says this is the same thing that happened last year with the Cowboys. They get beat when they fall behind early teams run against him. I think there's enough talent in Dallas to get things straightened out. Man, do you think he's angling for the gig when he says that? Sure. He really likes Jerry. He really does. He he's trying his best to you know, make Jerry look good in any way he can. And so yeah, he's I think he would love the opportunity to coach this team. We all have a tremendous amount of reverence for for Mike Zimmer. Does anybody think that if Bill Belichick stepped in was coaching this defense right now that it wouldn't be historically bad? Now that's a that's a good question. You can't help but think it would be it would be better. I mean, even when the the Patriots sucked over these last few years without Brady, they were still bringing good defense to the table consistently and he's usually able to get the most out of guys, even if they're, you know, kind of just average names, he gets the most out of them. So I definitely I definitely think it would be well, he drafts below average names. He has to wait to see that they're decent in the NFL to be like, okay, now I'll take you and I'll I'll get even more out of you. But yeah, so I do think it would be better than what Zimmer's got going on right now. Yeah, as a defensive coach, I would agree. I mean, it's not it's nothing against them because I do think this is more of a personnel issue because you're now seeing the same thing under two defensive coordinators with largely the majority of the same players on the defensive side of the football. Now a couple of new young guys and maybe they're making mistakes because they're young, right? Overshone, Leo Fau, Neil, and it's their third game they've ever played Carson. There's going to be growing pains there. But I do think Bill Belichick's pedigree is an offensive mind. He's arguably one of, if not the greatest defensive coordinators to ever play with what he was doing under Bill Parcells when the Giants were winning Super Bowls and stopping, you know, the bills and the 49ers to get to championships. And then he did it throughout his tenure in New England going up against the Colts and then, you know, winning Super Bowls, of course, I mean, when they went six. Yeah, I mean, I always had a good defense. And one of the things I'm guessing like Bill Belichick probably would not have allowed for them to handle the defensive tackle position the way they did this offseason, you know, he would have probably tried to not allow them to wait until mid August to just throw, you know, crap at the wall. This is one of the reasons why I don't think he would get this job because then he upsets the apple cart. We've talked about this before that he comes in and he's like, you're going to do what? What do you mean the caps? What? What are you going to do with the cap? No, what? You know, that's that's you're going to trust Mazi Smith. And that's it. Yeah, you're going to, you're going to do what? You know, and there's going to be a lot of questioning by that. You know, now if he comes in and takes the Parcells approach where I need the gig, you know, I want to still coach, you know, Bill, Bill Parcells had some personnel control until that first round pick came around and it was like, we're going to take the Marcus Ware here. We're not going to take, you know, we're going to take our guy there from the end up, you know, Sean Merriman. We're not going to take that guy. But there's there's there's things that, you know, that I think that Bill Parcells came in and said, okay, Jerry, fine. Okay, fine. I want to bill a check would do the same thing or would would Jerry give him the autonomy to do whatever he wanted to do? We don't want that. You only, you want the good and not the bad with Bella check. And I just don't know if that's realistic. Well, that's, that's where, like I said, I think that Steven, this is just me talking. I think Steven and Will would fight like hell to try and keep things going the way they want to go in personnel, draft and develop, sign our own, those kinds of things. Yeah, I just don't think the good is worth the negative on on Bill Bella check. I mean, you've had Dan Quinn and Mike Zimmer in here and you have very similar issues popping up. If Bella chick could make it better with this personnel group, I think it would be just very marginal improvements. I just don't, I just don't see how, you know, you could take this many problems and fix them all. You know, Bella check never won anything without Tom Brady. You know, but it is definitely something to be interested in because I feel like right now, Mike McCarthy's dead man walking that we know. Yeah, I'm sure that that to me is the selling point with Bill because I agree with everything you're saying there, Brian. I, and I, the cowboys might not be alone in that. I don't know looking at Bill's track record. If any team is going to hire him and say, we're giving you the keys to go ahead and handle the personnel side of it because you have not done a good job there. Well, maybe to get him, you have to do that. I don't see him taking a job unless he has some say and what's going on. Then he might not end up getting an other job. That's, yeah, but that's very possible. But somebody will be desperate enough to do it. Yeah. And this guy down the road might be desperate enough to do it. But if, so if you talk to him and he's not handling player personnel, but he does have as a head coach, what Bill Parcels was able to do, we're now a roster. He's, he's a guy that the players will respect that. That's I think been the issue ever since Bill left, right? And you lived that. Yeah. But Bill was the one guy like, I heard about this all the time growing up. Chris Arnold's talking to me about it today. The head coach instinct fear right in the players. They don't fear the head coach because Jerry's out there in the hallway doing a, a meeting after the game with, with the media. Poor Mike McCarthy series got two or three people that are in there talking to him. And Jerry's going to say one thing Mike's going to say another. Jerry's trading for Trey Lance, supposedly Mike knows nothing about it. Who, who's, who really counts here? Who really is to say so? Who's the final decision maker? It's Jerry. Yeah. You need to help. Yeah. Why do I have any respect or care for you, Mike? And now you didn't get an extension. It's one year for you. Hell, Mike might stink as a coach. I don't know. Maybe they don't respect him because of that. But Bill, but Belichick is going to garner respect in the locker room. That's something at least they'd have. But I don't see them. I mean, they're going to end up hiring if they lose Mike or don't resign him. Some coach that has a track record of they've been a head coach before. Maybe it's Raibel. Maybe it's Belichick. Name whatever guy else that's out there. I don't see them ever going and being okay, let's get creative here and bring in Clint Kubiak or Ben Johnson or Bobby Sloick or whatever the sexy young guy is that doesn't have any skins on the wall. Well, I'll disagree with you on that. And I like what you said because I think it's the right way to go. But I, I disagree with you just for the fact if it turns into Steven and will be able to control things, you're better doing that with a first year head coach than you are with a guy. It's a veteran coach. Well, again, Steven and Will are a different story to Jerry. Steven and Will might want to do that. But Jerry right now has the final say in the organization. That's why this is all on Jerry. No, no, it could be, it could be Steven and Will trying to convince Jerry not to hire Bill Belichick. That's where this thing could be. You know, and then now you have the struggle right there. But Will, Will, and I believe Steven would win that. That's, that's kind of where I'm thinking too. Right around the time that they took Zach Martin instead of Johnny, I think it became official. Yeah. You know, like the, the, the willingness of Jerry to overrule, he knows the sun's the one in there rolling up his sleeve and putting in the work. Yeah. You know, has the perspective that you would want to have the final say on, on things. If they don't hire Belichick, I, I, I just don't see them hiring any fresh name that we would be excited about that. No, I won't. Yeah. It'll be a trest cycle. I just don't see it happening. You need whoever, whoever takes this job. It needs to be the legitimate interview of, okay. Number one question is, how do you help my quarterback and that you're married to this quarterback for the next four years and that's something he's getting no help from the sideline. I think what they're going to try to do is, you know, they'll get a traditional coach and they'll try to get a great running back, a bell cow and great offensive lineman and try to, you know, steamroll, have the road grating, terrific offensive line coach. I think, you know, we're, we're probably fooling ourselves if we think they are forward thinking enough to go out there and find one of the coaches off the Shanahan tree or the McVay tree. Now, they might get lucky and accidentally get one, you know, that that's possible. They've done it at the quarterback position twice now. Yeah. Yeah. You get lucky with Roma, they get lucky with Dak. So maybe they can finally get lucky with a, with a head coach. The Todd Archer quote on how bad this is, it's just incredible from his story. The Cowboys allowing 557 rushing yards the most through three games since 1963. Yeah. 5.4 an attempt, the worst through three games since 79. They have given up eight rushing touchdowns the most in franchise history through three games. So, you know, and it's not, it's not like they've played world beaters. You know, neither one of the teams they've played are a really strong contender. They're making everybody look that amazing. Dude. I mean, yeah, that's what was disheartening during the pregame show leading up to kickoff yesterday was seeing, okay, the Giants are, are handling the Browns and this Eagles defense. They're playing the best football they've played in probably two seasons versus an offense that just completely embarrassed you a week, week before. So, and then the Ravens came limping in. Their offense had plenty of question marks and again, they just undressed you. You hear what Michael Irvin said about the Cowboys? I'd never worried about that old America's team moniker, but now I am. When we start talking about the lack of people at training camp and Jerry, we talk about it all the time, how much Jerry wants to promote. That means you want to be in front of people. And if no one showing up, that means there's a lack of belief in Cowboys nation. I don't know if that matters a lot. You know, I think for Michael Irvin, it's important to have that level of attention and he's so proud of it, but I'll give up the moniker of America's team. If we can just get the bones, the foundation of a quality football team right now, I mean, that's kind of meaningless if you ask me. The Cowboys have opened as four and a half point favorites against the Giants. Guys, we only have a couple of days to get our hands around this game. Brian, I'm sure you're going to jump in and start previewing their offense and defense in the corner. Yeah, we got that covered for we'll do offense tomorrow and defense on Wednesday. But after they fairly convincingly beat the Browns and we've seen the Cowboys struggle for two weeks, so this is crazy. But you know, what do you think about that point, spread? How is this game going to go? Was this two bad football teams facing off against each other? Or is this a Cowboys getting right against the Giants? Oh, it's a Cowboys get right game. It is too bad teams facing off against each other. You think it's in no brand or cover? You like you think the line makes sense? 100% the Cowboys will cover that. They own the Giants. That plays great in the division. They're built to win within the division. They will go to New York and take care of business. They'll be two and two. They'll be feeling a little bit good, but it doesn't change the fact that no, they're not a good football team, but they're going to go and handle the New York Giants. That's the way they do this under Mike McCarthy. Sounds like the Giants are getting pressure on people. Yeah, so they should be. I mean, jeez, they got Brian Burns and Tibetto and Lawrence. Yeah, that's what I was just kind of wondering how, you know, blocking their front, how that's going to go. No, they've got, they've got a good front, but I feel like even over the last couple of years, there's been moments where they have an index really good against the blitz. See, he finds a way to pick apart the Giants. I'm not really in the least bit worried about them. Now, look, is it possible they lose? Does Devin Singletary run all over him? Does Daniel Jones maybe get creative takes off and run? Sure. There's a recipe there where it could happen. I just, I've seen enough Cowboys Giants throughout my life. They lose the Giants. Yeah. And I guess we can't overreact to what the Giants just did to the Browns. No, the Browns are bad. I mean, we just went through the Deschaun Watson stat and I tried to fight after the Browns got a win in week two that maybe they weren't too bad. Now, the Browns think Deschaun Watson, I were worse expected points added through three weeks than any Browns quarterbacks since 2000. We read the list. Guys, it's horrible. The Browns aren't any good. So Malik neighbors is a bad ass for the Giants, but I don't think anything else on that offense is really worrisome. Yeah, but you're in the same place as them. That's the, that's the only team you could beat. Yeah. That's why it's too bad teams. I just think the Cowboys are lesser. But generally, yeah, we know the larger sample size is the Cowboys versus these Giants. I do think we have to keep an open mind idea though. We'll check to the idea that Cowboys have become that bad. You know, how many young, unproven players, either rookies or second-year guys, are they leaning on strongly? It's like half their team. Yeah, it is. You know, and I think it happened kind of suddenly and we saw that the rookies in Oxnard were impressive and we're like, wow, that's a guy that's going to have a nice career. But when the season starts, they're still rookies and they're not even rookies that are going to, you know, like make the all rookie team. So I just feel like we're going through a tremendous amount of growing pains right now. And it's, I don't know if it can get any worse, but it's going to be a while before it gets better. Two one, four says they'll absolutely hire Kellen Moore as their next head coach. That's good. That's good. Eight one seven. Here's the other thing. The browns had to play from way behind so they couldn't run. Can you imagine the three game numbers of that if that game was close? Well, they didn't have their running back or their offensive line. I mean, they were, they were a mass unit coming in week one. So that helps you in a huge way. And the Giants just took advantage of that, that offensive line there as well with Cleveland. So I don't know. The four and a half seems interesting to me. I, on the, on the road short week and historically bad defense right now, Devin Singletary's running the football. I don't know. It would, I'm still a little bit queasy about it. Indeed. Okay. Other stuff happening in the world of sports, Quinn Ewer is questionable for the Longhorns game against Mississippi state. After that first pick thrown by arch. Are you, are you more interested in seeing Quinn Ewer's walk back in there or do you want to see arch go with it? What, what, if you're in charge right now and you could snap your fingers. What do you want to see happen? If I'm a Texas fan, I just, I think that ultimately, you have national championship aspirations. You are the best team in the country. I think the guy who gives you the best chance to win that right now is still Quinn Ewer's. So I think you could always end up going to arch if need be, but you saw some of the growing pains there. There was some misses. Now you also see some unbelievable, I mean, geez, the dude's got a cannon arm too for as fast as he is. Arch can throw the heck out of the ball, but he also missing some wide open guys that could be huge touchdowns as well. So there are those growing pains. You're trying to win a national championship. Okay. So you got to have the guy with some experience in there. Ewer's today is still better than arch. Yeah. I mean, I don't think it's really a topic in, in the walls of Austin, right? Sark is pretty much committed to Ewer's. That's his team. But to me, it's, it's very intriguing. Like if Quinn does not play well against Oklahoma, I don't think he's going to play this week against Mississippi State. I think that'll be arch seven open week two before the Oklahoma game. Like that's yeah. And that's what it's going to take. Like Quinn's going to have to then just not look good against OU or against Georgia. And then maybe there can be a door that cracks where it's like, okay, we could talk about arch, but right now they're, they're going right back to Quinn. They're, they're not leaving our chin. You know, you with Quinn, you're probably not too far away from his next injury either. So it might just take care of itself. Former USC running back in 2005 Heisman, winner Reggie Bush, following a lawsuit against the university, the PAC 12 and the NCAA sinking compensation for NIL during his time with the program. Bush's legal team says that the three organizations are in significant compensation. Thanks to Bush's significant popularity and prominence in TV contracts, merchandise, sales and media rights. I just think there's no end to that. You know, I think that's one of those things where every single one of these players has a case, but they're going to end up protecting the billionaire entities when it, when it comes down to it because if you open this one and inside in favor of Bush, I think it sets a precedent. And maybe that's a president that needs to be explored. You know, maybe, maybe those organizations, you know, should should be drained of their coffers. And, you know, and for really what was theft, you know, that's the way I look at it over a multi decade, half century kind of process. All right, it is the G back nation here on 105 three, the fan time now to go back into that pimp cup or Lucius L.A. You guys been killing that football conversation all day. Doing pretty good at it. This will be it. If you let me win this third Super Bowl, I won't ask again. I've been trying to retrade that deal for the last 20 years. And I've put a lot on the line. You know what I'm saying? Like you can go into 400k miles. Yeah, they're dependable. We have one in our household for a good reason. Exactly, man. They hold their values. A good car. I've never seen one on the tow truck on the record like that. I wonder what that person did to that damn Toyota, because I mean, it takes a tank to kill it. My guess would be 20,000 miles no oil change. It has to be something insane. Speaking of Toyotas, have you seen that Lexus GX 550? I believe it is. It's got a googling, huh? That boy is beautiful. I got to get my money up. That thing is beautiful right there, boy. It's like a Lexus G-Wagon. It is beautiful, bro. Yeah, I got to get my money up. We got to talk to mama. What can we do here? Anyway, G-Back of the day, we do it every weekday on the Fannie 230. If you see anything floating out there, don't be afraid to hit me up at Lucky Lucius P. Hit me up, man. Lucius Alexandra on Facebook, you can find me there, or you can follow us on if you find G-Back Nation on Twitter, our winner right here is Kwai Leonard. Man, Kwai Leonard was out there at a park recording some skateboarders doing some awesome tricks. One guy jumped over on a whole table. When the skateboarder was amazing. You did it. There you go. Two in a row. That's how you finish it. It's the way he just went all the way. You're right. It's like he was falling. Split. I love that the slow fade out. You didn't just add Peter down. That's great. That's him at the height of excitement. Yeah, he really was excited too, by the way, man. That's that Brazilian dude, Tiago, from the old Tony hot games. That's what it is. This guy is like old. Really? You never lose it, bro. I guess you never lose it. I think New Balance has some skate shoes now. Really? All right. I think that's the way. You gonna throw them more? I think I will. Okay. Yeah. I used to have all those skate shoes like in late 90s, DCs. Yeah, I was talking about, yeah, my son wears those right now. He wears a lot of them. I guess it's popular, like, yeah, I don't know. Anyway, LA live 105 through to Fandom on a Monday Friday. Fellows, when did y'all start cursing? I have no idea. Honestly, I think it was like on the opening kickoff, there was already a penalty. I was like, this could be a long one. My man said third grade. Yeah. You think it's third grade for you? Yeah, I remember it vividly. Come on, tell me about it. We were walking out to recess, Mill Plain Elementary School had just come out of the lunchroom. Recess, he knows good, bro. And I asked my buddy if we had the soccer field that day, or if it was the other class, and he said no, and I said, oh, bully. That's work. Good for you, bro. This is a little PG-13, actually. They're warmed up. Yeah. I was in junior high when I started. My was a GD word. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, it was, it was pretty rough. Right to the top of the picture, man. Listen, I had the table rolling. I had them boys rolling, milking, shooting out that, slapping the tables. I was killing them boys and then the assistant principal was right behind me as I was just dropping all GDs and stuff. Killed my comedy routine. Tapped me on the shoulder, said, Michelle, I gotta come with me. Called my dad and everything. I got in trouble. Got to roll it. Oh yeah, for GDs. Yeah, you never say that one. You know, I got a GD in it. Yeah, that's how he was filling up. Not an FCC violation, but definitely frowned upon. He did not like that. I could not do it. No FCC via one? No, no, you can do it. Yeah, I could totally do it. It's just a social thing. I see, uh, my dad would let us do crap and heck, but no hell and no damn. Okay. See, pops, let you do a little bit though. Now that you've, you guys don't remember any type of cursing when you started. Brought us. Come on, man. No, I, I'll tell you my experience with my son Bennett, we were on a fishing boat together and he was, I think he was 11 and he, he didn't set the hook and he looked at me and I said, go ahead. And he goes, that's great. And I go, feel better? He goes, yeah, thanks. But he didn't, he didn't set this, and he, and he just looked at me and I said, go ahead. So he seen me do, he saw me do it before like not setting the hook. And so he just dropped it right there. Like, like, son, 11 years old. I do have been at a young age, but I don't have like a moment to where, oh, I remember that was it, but you started cursing like real young though, you think? No, and my dad, yeah, it was probably like elementary school. You were a rebel out there. I mean, I was watching like R rated movies and all this. Yeah, I was smoking cigarettes. My parents were like, whatever. The cool parents, man. Well, Chuck was having house parties at his place. He was Bart Simpson. This was all new for them. They immigrated from South Africa. They're like, oh, I mean, I can't judge the other day. My three year old asked me where the bleeping fruit shoes were. Hilarious. No, where's my bleeping fruit shoes? She had no idea. Oh my God. Where's my bleeping presents? She calls the fruit shoes by the way skittle loops, which makes it hilarious. I don't know how she came up with that word, but that's what she calls them. She used that word perfectly as well. In a sentence, like it made like she knew exactly how to deploy that. Yeah. And it's been hanging out with her mom too much. Yeah. She's ahead of her time. Have you ever gotten in trouble for cursing? Yeah. Yeah. I've gotten shoot out before. Yeah. Foul mouth. Were you young then? Yeah, I was like, you're young now, but you know, threatened like, oh, I'm going to watch your mouth out. Oh, yeah. That happened to me too. Yeah. That's an old. That's an old. Really? I got to soap in the mouth. Yes. I got switches on the butt. Yeah. How would you, how would you get the soap in your mouth? Like, how would that sort of be applied? Like, like, like, just shove the bar in your mouth. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah. Like, the, like, what was it called? Like, it was the dove, the dove round. But it's just like, they didn't ask you to chew it or you just kind of like, just get the flavor in there. And then you just put it in your mouth and you just let it sit there. Yeah. My dad was just, my dad would like get like, we'll just soap up his hand. And then he would just stick his fingers in my mouth and just rub his fingers in my mouth. Oh, my God. That's hardcore. And you're like, yeah, you're like, almost being gagged a little bit. You're like, Oh, my gosh, I got fingers in my mouth. Wow. Do you use profanity around your, your kids? I mean, your parents, excuse me, your parents. Uh, no, only only if it's like a, yeah, selective, light, very light hearted moment. But yeah, and I'll probably like not actually say it. I'll just whisper it. Hi, man. I remember one time my, my grandparents, my dad's adopted. We were in Caldwell, Texas. And my dad said something, we're at the breakfast table. I was a young kid. My dad said, you know, my grandmother was talking about some lady and my dad goes, Oh, she's an old B word. And my grandmother hit him with a skillet in the back of the head, like turning drop my dad. Oh, she's just an old B word and she turned in like straight reaction, I got my head with a skillet, straight reaction. Yeah, I got in trouble for a person around my, my mother, my father yesterday. Yes, sure did. reprimanded. Now my brother's in town from California and we were hanging out. Might have had a few pops before I pulled up on pops. So I was already good and loose. Cowboy game was coming on and everything. And yeah, there was some flim flam, flam, flam. I guess I was just regular talking, you know, I'm just doing my thing. Right. Well, when I left, I got a text from dad. Yeah, I got a text. Make sure you apologize. She's talking about my stepmom. Make sure apologize to Miss Tina. That's my stepmom. And for some of your language, quote, cursing, it's warranted. Love you. I said, what? What? What? I'm 40, fam. What are you talking about? So I'm going to throw in them forever. Every time we have any event over there at the house, if I hear anybody curse, shh, shh, shh. Don't say it. Yeah, I'm trolling now, bro. That's pretty dang funny, dude. I was telling me I can't cuss. I got in trouble. Then I found his kids cussing. Did you cussing like it? Did you play like little football and cussing, little league? No, like basketball, whatever. Dude, I remember going to one of my friends games when he was playing Pee Wee football and I was just there watching and we were in elementary school. And I just the culture around their team was players are cussing, coaches are cussing, and it don't matter. And I just I'll never forget just how I opening it was because my team, you were here in like, you know, dad gummit. Yeah. That's we played the YMCA football. So it was young men's Christian Association thing. So you had to pray before the games and stuff. So if you curse, you were gone. You couldn't like you said any kind of they were kicked. Yeah, the league for cursing. You're outed. That's funny that you say that coaches was all cool with the kids cursing and everything. To answer you, I did not do it at all. No, I did the referee. The referee. The coaches might. But I really coach in high school football when I was out there because I didn't want to penalty for some really thing. But listen to these don't kids their chant. You didn't hear what he said. I couldn't I couldn't make it. Knock a naysayers head loose. Oh, what? What? Oh, my God. They need some whoopings. Some whoopings, bro. I can't believe they're loud enough. Yeah, you know, like that a dance choreography. The pads and everything, bro. I can't believe it. You seen that Tyke show, right? Yes. Yes. Yes. That's crazy. Right in night, Tykes. There would be a lot of swearing there. They've lost the kids because everybody was. Yeah. I mean, it's really the parents like the parents are the worst. Yeah. Okay. I can get that. But I'm talking about the kids out there just cussing their might up and they're cussing. Yeah. That would trickle down to some of the some of the kids. Listen, this little kid. I'm not going to tell you what he said, but that's cussing. Yeah. Yes. I mean, it's it is weird that we create a double standard where like the parents are going to cuss and the kids can't cuss. I think that's just like confusing for little kids, you know. I actually kind of support it. You do? If you if you guys and you let your kids cuss, I know it's not socially acceptable, but that's the that's the only problem with it is you don't want the kid embarrassing you by cussing. Well, that was like, you don't know what you're doing as a parent. Right. If I did it out in public, it was no, no. Yeah. But in our, you know, little nucleus in the safe space. Yeah. Okay. I had a my my friend. He was like a foreign kid. His name is song. He would just cuss all in front of his mom with cuss's mom out. She didn't know English. She didn't know he was just cuss, bro. Like, right? I'm there, man. I put him to the side, man. Do that when I'm around, bro. You're gonna think I'm influencing you. You're the bad guy here, bro. I like this little chant right here by the kids, though. What they gonna say? We had somebody. Oh, what they mama gonna say? Oh, my baby. That's hilarious. Uh, Jamie Foxx ends his Instagram live after Cowboys GM Jerry Jones started talking about the size of a player's unmitgable. Yeah. His private parts. Yeah. This is it. I was asked about that. This is candy land. Yeah. Jerry's name is now Calvin. And Django was there. It's crazy. Jamie Foxx was in attendance watching the Cowboys practice with Jones. I don't know from what day this was, what gear it was, but Jones could be heard in the background speaking. Jerry was talking about one of the players. But players before the listing his NFL combine measures. Okay. Sorry about that. Yeah, I did. After this video, I don't know what to call them. I don't know what to call them. I'm a damn good general manager who knows his players. Jerry Jones said he looked about him. He looked pretty good right there. He showed balance. Five foot nine and a half. Two 210 pounds of four four in the 40. Yeah. Nine and three inch hands. What else? How many legs? Eight and a half inches, but there's a third leg. Oh my God. Jerry, what are you doing? I'm not too. I'm not too too. Eight and a half inches. I like my personnel. Jamie said, oops. He cuts it off right there. This is where we're in here. Man, this is candy land, y'all. So I mean, who was that? Is that Felix Jones? Is that Mary and Barbara? Hello. Dawson wanted to know who it is. So who is it? Why didn't he tell us? Oh my God. I don't know who it was. Jerry, you need to watch yourself, bro. You need to go do something, dog. Retire. You do something, bro. I'm seeing way too much of these situations with Jerry and this two borderline for me, dog. Two borderline. Especially that Arkansas photo came out. You need to chill, fam. Yes. Crazy. You can move that fastball that extra weight. All right, y'all. I'll be back tomorrow. Yes, this is a great audio extravaganza of all nine hours of a broadcast game day here on the fan. There is NFL news is we have a double header tonight on Monday night football, but an update on Christian McCaffrey very quickly. He's on hard grave and hard grave bad news for the 49ers are all around. But McCaffrey is now traveling to Germany over the weekend to visit a specialist to that Achilles injury that he's dealing with. Oh, that's never good. And then the 49ers Siobhan Hargrave is out for the season. I believe it's a torn bicep is McCaffrey going to a different country where there's more things that you can use from a recovery standpoint. Isn't that what didn't like Kobe do something like that for his? Yeah, that's when that that platelet rich plasma therapy was outlawed in the US. Now it's legal. So there might be something else okay new or it might just be like a better doctor in Germany or with the founder of it or something. If they're pulling out the go to Germany and see the specialist move, that is not encouraging. If you're an octopus, though, you know, I'd go over there as well going to get a couple of brats. Why not? I know we're going to get two guys one booth. But did you guys see last week that story about insurance and how the Niners are using this to like get a huge advantage? They've they've recouped $54 million in cap space over the last 10 years and Christian McCaffrey is just the latest. So if you put insurance on a guy, not only do you get the money back if he misses games, but you get the cap space back. And in San Francisco, virtually every player who's not on a rookie minimum deal has that insurance. So for every game McCaffrey misses, they get like a million dollars of cap space back for next year. Holy that's that's extremely smart. I mean, that's how you're paying Trent Williams in both. So in all these guys, top of the market when they miss games, we're saving. And the Niners and Eagles have the most the Cowboys are in the game too, like both of Dax big contracts have that okay insured. But you know, this is one of those things where if you have a highly paid player, you're like, well, as long as we stay in playoff contention, maybe it wouldn't be bad if he missed 10 games. Yeah, right. Yeah, there are scenarios where it just absolutely benefits you player gets his bag and team gets cap space back. The only loss is for the owner who's actually got to write the check for the insurance premium. Yeah. And that's what it is. That's your owner being willing to spend more money and having still spending the dollars, but you're having more cap space so that you can then spend more money to because you really want to win, you know, at somebody who really wants to win. Yeah, that's, that's fascinating, very, but not not good for the Niners. They're really, they're talking about closing the loophole, I think. Okay, maybe this won't be a thing moving forward. I know two has got insurance on his deal, but like personal insurance to where like he's not going to be forfeiting a ton of money. If he had to retire, I know that came out last week with it with all that coming out. So to, uh, he should be okay. Somewhere an insurance claim guy is getting fired for issuing that policy. Well, that's Lord's of London. Don't they used to do those things? I mean, they, they, like you can, you pay this, Lord's of law and again, Lords of London, I think is, I think they still have that availability. A lot of these players used to ensure themselves before the draft and things. So if something happened to them, they could, but there's, there's, there's places that will take on huge policies like that, but the premiums are pretty extensive. Oh, interesting. All right, let's go ahead and hit some two guys. One boots. Yeah, interesting. Extensive pinions. I don't know guys. I think brought us, we should get back to brought us on these expensive premiums. Damn it. Give me the premiums. Where, where wolves of London? Let's do a deep dive. Where wolves of London on the premiums. Okay. All right. We, we, we started the pre, the pre, pre. Yeah. This is your good old fashioned tailgate show. Fred Davis and the three-time Hall of Famer Chris Arnold making Hall of Fame highlights day in, day out. This one's no different and perhaps a G bag of the day nominee on a future date. Take it away. C.A. There's games kicking off right now. So let me go ahead and get the tollos. Some of these inactives and updates, active and inactive. Green Bay, Paris quarterback, Jordan Love is not going to come on the field and warm up. Okay. It's good for him. It's good for everybody. It's good for everybody. We're all winning on Sunday. I'm going to make a return to the field. How about that? Is that a bad way to put it? Might have had to Sean Watson situation down there. Oh man. Just like the, he's, he's reading in the pause there. It just, he wanted a disa freaking peer right there. I know he did. As soon as we showed up to, uh, to, for the pre game show, the text, when I pulled up the text, I, I saw so many texts of like, Oh, C A G bag of the day. C S. I was like, Oh, I can't wait to hear this. Yeah. Good. Thank you to Kevin Walker for pulling this. I texted Kevin was like, man, we're, we're going to make sure we have this for two guys. It's Sunday. Yeah, Sunday. And I, and Chris, we've got to see him at the stadium yesterday. He would, he had a good laugh about that. All right. Let's go to, uh, Brian. This is part of the pre game show. Uh, and anytime you try and say some names, sometimes we get some gold. Oh no, fall out of the way, la la la la la, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Take it out of Brian. Yeah. Look, we got to find other ways to stop them regardless of when a boss is out here or not. Let me tell you what, if Daniel, I can't, I can't fall out of the way, but lately, yeah, if I fell, fell, fell out of the way, but if he, if he plays, if he plays quickness, you can tell the recovery that he was gathering himself after tripping over the I was, I said it perfectly like three times. And then at one time, I'm like, Oh, Jesus, uh, that was a big give up correction. Southern leisure is a next Friday there and flour amount, not this Friday, October, the four, October, the four will be getting after it. Gosh, I love Southern leisure spots and patio so much. Is that a cold blood challenge? That's going to be a, uh, well, as long as wall check approves it, you know, the level of difficulty, then yes, tough one right here. I will, I will do this. That does not sound fun. I will tuck my shirt into my khakis with my belt on Jim Harbaugh style. And I'll get in there. That's if I lose, you know what I mean? And shout out to the bangles. Hopefully getting the dub for me tonight. You just been rolling, bro. Yeah. Well, good stat on the bangles. Joe burrow. By the way, you sang very well. Yeah, we didn't give enough credit for that. I was trying to, you guys were too drunk to appropriately apply. We were having a great time. I thought you did a great job of saying thank you. Thank you very much. Yeah. Seriously. I think I might have left out a couple of sentences. I thought it's you nailed it. I wasn't sure if I was like a hundred percent accurate on all of the lyrics, but I think I was still in the nineties of percentile. So I think you and the rockets red glare somewhere else. Yeah. Something happened with the rockets. Something happened with the rockets. Yeah. But a lot of people reached out and said that they were more inspired as an American than they ever had been. Yeah. Get to the cowboy game here soon. I was just surprised you weren't a horrible singer. That was true. How loud you sing is impressive as well. That was like, I was, you know, there was, we had a lot of that sag of more rye. We didn't help you. And we'll check wanted to like, have like a, let's go out. Let's go out there and settle this at the OK Corral. Yeah. I thought you were going to have to come to blows, man. Doc Holliday out there. He says we didn't. All right. He says we did whiskey and then some fist fighting for you. By the way, you're good. He's undefeated week three, eight touchdowns, two picks. He started 0 and 2 and 4 of his five career seasons. This is familiar territory for Joe. They're getting the win tonight. That doesn't make me feel good. I needed that. The vote of confidence, man. OK. All right. Let's get to the coin toss. Ladies and gentlemen, Brad Shamm, take it away. But we have Ron Torbert as our referee. Here's the coin that we will use. The side with the NFL Shield is heads. The side with my number 62. Oh, well, you're not tails. Baltimore, you are the visitors. They want to see. Tails is the call. Tails is the call. Well, that was certainly some foreshadowing there. Ron wanted to make it about himself. Yes. Oh, the right. It was his number on the coin. Oh, yeah. And it was from the first whistle. It was it was laundry on the field. Three. It was the first drive. Yeah. It was it was exhausting. Pre snap penalties. Yeah. It spanned forward with a false start, then it ends up being Ferguson on another drive. They're not sad. Turpin gets called for holding on a return. It's just unreal. So annoying. But this also started off with a bang. We'd wondered. I mean, hey, Cowboys, do you just take the football since you need to try and play with the lead for this defense to settle in? Well, Izzy McQuamoo was out there. And when they win the toss, he set the tone. This heads when the toss the Cowboys won the toss and have decided to take the ball. It sure sounds like they have. Yeah. They took the ball and they basically just took a dump on the ball to that was their, their scripted plays were just to everybody. Pull their pants down like that dolphins player. You see the dolphins player get his cheeks thrown out yesterday. So did that really happen? Yeah, that really happened. Yes. I thought maybe that was like, I'm honestly surprised it doesn't happen more where somebody's like trying to tack you from behind. They dive out. They just like grab your pants and pull them down. And it was just bare cheeks. I think it might have been River Craycraft. Julian Hill. I don't know. But it was definitely, I mean, the dolphins absolutely showed their ass in Seattle. Yes. They'd be like a brass for sure. They sure did. All right, let's go to, oh, well, it's Lamar Jackson doing what he does. Shratching. Chris rocks the ball. Into the garden. Through the picket fence. Hey, that is a lot of butt out there. Holy cow. It's full. It's full moon. Yeah. You see this, Brian? That's not just a typical run to the bottom of the track. No, yeah. Ladies, we're happy with that one. We have something regarding kitchen appliances here on the broadcast. Six foot 355 for Michael Pierce. He is a load. No, that's a kitchen appliance. Yeah, it's not a man. It's a kitchen appliance. He is a load. It's what C A said. Jerry's roving off on the broadcast. Yeah. That was some Jordan Love analysis once again there, making a toy under the Dallas Cowboys radio network. All right. Let's see. Who is the, who's the get cute kind of guy? I'm not going to get cute. He's not a get cute kind of guy. He's not a get rattled kind of guy either. I like that. I like that. I like that. That must be about our guy Brandon Gotta be the local legend MVP. How about third dude missing one, Brandon Aubrey? Yeah, we knew turning point of the game. We knew. Yeah. We have a ticking advantage, man. You did. Sure did. When we got rid of the pre game. Know who our best players all the way. They tried to throw it for all the life all along. Follow along. There's deuce Vaughn getting into the action. Short to the middle. Oh, come on. You don't need to be that way. It's deuce Vaughn who caught it, but I didn't know that when I said. But it was. But it was short to the middle. That's a good, that's a good observation there by baby. Yeah, you'd have to say that. Come on. They really were absolutely dominate yesterday in the booth every every every time I had the opportunity to hear them on the call. It was it was wonderful. And here is the point in the game where I guess babes like looking around like, you know, if they don't get this, man, you might just want to go ahead and pack it in. All right, third and 14. If you can't get them off here, Brad, you might as well get in your car and listen to Brad and babe on the way home, right? Yeah, third and 14. And it happened. Sham. There were a lot of people leaving, including my father-in-law. He left and then they started rallying. Maybe he's just a bad luck. He needs to just stop going to games. I'm just glad you and I didn't go to the game yesterday together because that would have been the case. Oh, we would have left early. Yeah, we went downstairs. Remember for we hung around, we usually like at six minute mark. We were lingering. I started packing like what with nine minutes to go. And then I'm like, oh, outside kick. We got to see the outside kick Brian. Come on, uncle, Brian, right? We got to stay for the outside kick. Glad you did. And it worked. They got it. All right, Brad, sham. He was not happy with CD. Back to throw it over the middle. Slam. In and out of lamb's hands, he stops, slams his hands on his head. He's a frustrated young man right now. He's not happy with the game. He's not happy with himself. He's not happy with my offense. What is he happy about Brad? Right now at this minute, he's probably not even happy with the contract he just signed to. It's not happy. It's in general, unhappiness. What do you think he's most unhappy with his quarterback? The offense? I think that fumble wrecked him in that game. I think this isn't the first time he's done this, but no, but to me, it just seemed like when he, that point on it was pressing, pressing, trying to get it back. You know, I think that I think the fumble really hurt him in that game. Yeah. I mean, it seems like, I mean, I don't know, even on the play where it's in the end zone and it's the it's he gets the flag called, but he's still kind of throwing a fit slam and like he's upset about something. Yeah. And then there's a play where they throw it to Ferguson and he doesn't get the ball. It's the 30 15 slam and it's the 30 15. And then there's the just get me the effing ball. And that's what I think what it is. I think he just wants the ball. Yeah. But I just think the pressure of him having to make plays. Yeah, I that's just, because I could say that that phone that fumble was was bad. That's the turning point. I mean, that's that's where everything. There were a lot of bad. There was a ton. Yeah. That was the one. Cause that's the one time you were actually moving the ball with a little rhythm to it. Exactly. You know, and then you just completely fall apart. No doubt. I mean, right after the quarter, yeah, as soon as the quarter changes, like, oh God, well, one guy who was impressive yesterday, it's our man, Hunter Lippke. Snap to press that protected pumps, throws it out, caught by Lippke made a man miss 25 30 35 right for the 40. You cannot stop Hunter Lippke. You can only hope they can date. Hey, you guys miss. That's our guy. Humphrey and Hamilton miss on the play too. Amazing. Pretty good tackler for him. He had the second most snaps yesterday behind Doutle as far as your backs. I think they're getting it figured out and they play. He plays a little special team snaps too. He's got some versatility can line up full back. Yeah. His pass pros is had a couple of blocks yesterday. I mean, the route that he he won on Hamilton was pretty damn nice, nice catch. Yeah, that's the type of football player that you would see a Shanahan or a LaFloor or a Ben Johnson get the most out of, you know, like men, he showed a heck of a lot more athleticism yesterday than I ever knew he had. But McCarthy loves him. He's find out a way to improve this offense a little bit. All right. Here's Christie shutting it down with, well, just get the hell out of here in the second half. Yeah, that was the only rushing in the second half was the fans to the exits just a minute into the fourth quarter. So yeah, it's mostly purple down here behind the visiting bench in the first level. I've never known Christie to be a cheap shot gal, Brad, which just took one air. Little shade. Little shade. That was that was a damn good bar right there by Christie. And that's unfortunately the the situation that that we were that we were in. That's just her unbiased reporting going on right there. There were a lot of Ravens fans. I mean, there were times where you close your eyes in there. You think you're at Raven's home game, right? Yeah, something happened there during the national anthem. They yelled something. I didn't know if it was like a Baltimore Raven thing, but I'd never heard it before. I couldn't pick up what they yelled. Yeah, they were loud and proud deservedly so. And there it is. Two guys, one booth. I feel like we're going to get a lot more of that, don't you? Yeah, there's a lot more road crowd. Yeah, hired up on their tickets for sure. I'd want to recoup something out of this season. It's probably not going to be a good time at AT&T stadium. So I'm trying to get paid and maybe save up my money for when they're good next go round, which by my count, I think you're looking at 2026. I think we got about another, what would that be? 33 games of bad of blah before you get out of cap hell and this organization, assuming they draft properly, which they should. I mean, they got they got out of their comfort zone out of their wheelhouse a couple of years back there with the MOSSE Smith and Skoonie deal. But other than that, you know, they're drafting well enough to believe it's about to happen. But if I'm a fan right now, I don't want to go. I don't even want to go leave the house, you know, unless we're going to have a killer party at the tailgate. Maybe I got, I got meat church mats, a lot. And I know where I'm going for some terrific brisket sliders on Hawaiian rolls, you know, that'll get me off the couch. Oh, yeah, you know, let's let's give them to the neighbors. Let somebody else go to the game, but I I damn sure I don't want to, you know, inconvenience myself in a way that involves spending lots and lots of money to go, you know, watch that absolute disaster of a football team, which is what they are right now. I'm not sure how much they are better than the Giants. I'm looking forward to Thursday night where we can get some clarity on that. But coming up next chief, what's in store? Go sports hodgepodge here. We'll take a next gen look at our football Sunday and we got some college football stuff for you next year in the nation. Yeah, buddy. Welcome back segments brought you by the Frankel's life's unpredictable accidents happen. Some of the most maddening things about the Cowboys yesterday and just what they're doing with their offense here. We remember last year, the first five or six games, everything was stagnant. Everything was just quick passes, trying to get the ball out very fast, not pushing the ball down the field. No creativity, very stagnant, no pre snap motion. It looked like you were playing in the nineties and everybody else is playing 30 years later, just a completely different sport than you. And then they fixed it and the offense looked much better for a good chunk of the season. And now it feels like they've just gone right back to the same mentality they had to start last year where their offense was inept. And there was no explosive plays. They can't run the ball. They can't they can't pass the ball down the field and defenses are a step ahead of them. And the Cowboys, I saw a Skywalker steel Cowboys drop back 55 times and use pre snap motion just 15 times. I mean, on 17 past attempts yesterday, you saw Baltimore use the the motion 12 times the previous week, the Raiders who have Luke gets he calling their plays, which is just patently awful. The Raiders last week, when they beat the Ravens, they dropped back 43 times. They use pre snap motion 33 of those times. And you could see how much that screwed things up communication wise there in the back end for the Ravens and the Raiders were able to, I mean, Brock Bowers, eight against them, the rookie tight end, of course, Devontae Adams did as well. And then you come out and you're just super, super stagnant. I don't, I don't get it. And then I think the other really disappointing thing too is just all your best players were bad. Well, it's like even the wasn't like, Hey, all the guys we've paid were a little top heavy here, but all the guys we've paid really, you know, did their thing. And the rest of the rosters got to catch up to them. It's like, no, the guys you've paid are the guys you're about to pay guys you depend on guys that are supposed to be the your foundation for your squad here. It's Dak. It's Lamb. It's Diggs. It's Tyler Smith. It's Micah. Demarcus Lawrence awful. I mean, Zach Martin, not quite himself. I mean, all of what are supposed to be your best players let you down quite a bit yesterday. And that sucks, man. Donovan Wilson. Yeah, you need them, especially with so much youth on the on the team. Looking back to last year, how it finished, following that Seahawks game, which was kind of like the get right. Oh, yes, they really got it. You know, it's it's 10 points against Buffalo, 20 against Miami, 20 against Detroit. Then you get the worst team in football on a week 18 Washington. But then after that, you go Green Bay and, you know, the second half against Cleveland, right? New Orleans Baltimore. It's like, we're looking at a sample size now of like nine games other than horrible football teams in the first half against Cleveland. Your offense has fallen apart is really kind of what's happened. And you know, I don't even know quite how to explain it because it's been so sudden. Like up until that point, it was 45 and 49 and 43 all in the course of five weeks span that they were dropping. They look like what the Saints have, you know, looked like over the last, well, excluding yesterday. So, you know, to me, I don't know how much different it was last year, you know, looking at how that season finished. They did make some adjustments at the buy. But I think they went into the off season and thought that that bi-week adjustment didn't fix them. And they need to go back to what, you know, their foundation has been, which is less motion. Well, it definitely it worked for them. They pivoted last year. It worked for them for a good chunk of the season. And then teams started to have answers for what it is you wanted to do. Now teams have counters. You've gone seven, eight, nine games, putting things out there. And now defenses understand what you want to do. And then there was no counterpunch from the Cowboys. And so the last month of the season and all the way up into Green Bay, it's just the defenses are a step ahead of you. And then it's like, okay, what can you do now to take what you did, which was an improvement after five games last year, you got a lot more motion going on, pushing the ball down the field a lot more. And then okay, defenses found, you know, figured out what you wanted to do. How do you evolve from there? How do you say, okay, now what's our counter to their counters? Because we've clearly got something here. But no, they've just gone right back to what they were to start last year, which is like just thinking your quarterback can't push the ball down the field. Awful route concepts, a lot of curl routes. Nobody's getting open. The separation for you was terrible. Like they're they're continuing to increase the amount of coverage that they're playing on you. They're continuing to disrespect your run game more and more. But you can still at least do motion. Yes, you can still have an excuse route concepts. They were one of their they were one of the same pages that that did not benefit from running motion. Right. That was in the stat last year that run, specifically on their runs. But in their passing attack, it worked tremendously. Okay, I'm thinking of multiple plays last year. Here's Turpin finding himself wide open because he was in motion or whatever they up that. And at least for the passing attack, it worked. Now there's a lot of choreography that goes on in the rushing attack and you start adding the motion stuff. They clearly weren't really they weren't really adept at nail in that portion of it because they were switching things, you know, mid-season. But their passing game, it worked for them at least up until defenses really got a hold of what they wanted to do. I think it's like probably that Buffalo game where it was really like, Oh, okay, now things are out there and you're struggling in a huge way. And it's just weird. It's weird that they're that they're doing it. And again, I think it's funny that there's also, who are you blaming here? Because this is McCarthy's offense. Absolutely McCarthy. But then it's also, but again, everybody wants to tell him, this is DAX offense, DAX running the show. I think he's what? What do we, where is the disconnect here? Is he changing the plays of the line of scrimmage? I think as much as any quarterback in the league is, he's not designing it or calling the plays. He's choosing from two different plays that he's given and coming up and checking out of the runs quite a bit. But as far as him being responsible for constructing the offense, he said after the Saints game, I'm trying to get more of this stuff in our offense. I want to do more of this, which suggested to me that he's not the architect of it, even though he's deciding at the line, are we going to do the run play or the pass play? Then that certainly makes that that makes sense that I'm just surprised that he hasn't just completely combusted at the microphone just because out of so much frustration watching the other team do things. He's on the sideline watching his defense and he's like, wow, look what these offenses are doing. And then we're running out there. And in our scripted plays, we're running arrow routes out of the backfield to a slow running back at the line of scrimmage so we can just get to second and nine as quickly as possible. What are we doing? You know, I think there is definitely part of DAX that is a good soldier that wants to follow what the coaches want. When he first got here, he never changed the play. And it wasn't until Amari Cooper got here and in the huddle was like, dude, you've got to change the play. The Eagles are giving us this thing over the top. And it was one of the first times that Dak actually did and the big play happens and the Cowboys beat the Eagles and they go on and win the division that year and get to the playoffs. But I think he is hardwired to be a good soldier. That's part of being a leader is being willing to follow the chain of command. And you know, I would look for him to figure out a way to get those ideas upstairs to Jerry. It's at this point in a quarterback's career on the other side of 30 that you can start like working with the front office and hopefully choosing a coach that, you know, will bring the things to life that he desperately needs. I mean, to not be able to find any way of generating offense when the defense is consistently just taking one thing away from you. They're just worried about the chunk play and you're not able to exploit that in a bigger way. I think a lot of coaches have to be watching the Cowboys struggle like this and laughing. Yeah. Well, I couldn't believe seeing the, the Derek Henry, the way he takes care of himself. And oh gosh, they talked about that on the, he spends $250,000 a year on his health, no fried food, no dairy, no gluten, no artificial sugars, doesn't eat till 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. during the season and eats an avocado or banana before practice. That's different. I don't, I don't understand how this dude can be. I mean, he's huge. I don't understand how you can be that big and just you don't eat until four o'clock every day. Genetics. You know, the story with Herschel Walker, where the doctors brought him in, like, thinking he had to be on all kinds of roids. Yeah. And then they ran a bunch of tests on them. They're like, this is incredible. The guy's producing more muscle, more power, more speed. There's not a single synthetic thing in his body. He just generates like four times the amount of testosterone, the average male does. And what Jim Harbaugh still had more rushing yards than him. It just makes no sense. But yeah, I guess, I guess that's what it is, man. It's just, it's, it's genetic greatness. And like DK Metcalf, he just like snacks on candy and stuff all day. He looks like he looks like the just the most incredible physical specimen you've ever seen. Okay, let's, let's take a look. Some other things around the NFL. I did feel bad for the, the betters last night who had the over on the rushing yards for Pat Mahomes at 19 and a half. He had 30 rushing yards before taking three knees to end the game. He went minus five, minus four, minus four. He finished with 17 rushing yards. And so the under 19 and a half hits after he had already gotten to 30 and then kneeled his way to the under rushing yards prop. That, that definitely stings bad beat style could have been even worse for him. You turf monster got him on the second to last one. He went for one of those slides where you're trying to stall for an extra half second. Caught him. Oh yeah. And he was kind of gimping around a little bit. Yeah, I looked ugly for a second stat of the day on Jalen hurts. He has the most turnovers since the start of last season with 26. That is a, that is a volatile player, man. It's like there's some, some awesome plays and some head scratchers. And I can't believe with the way that Sirionni was calling that game. They still find a way the Eagles to beat the Saints in New Orleans. Dick Fangio had that defense flying around credit to him. And then after the game, you had CJ Gardner Johnson, Eagles defensive back talking about the Saints. His quote was, they ain't no contenders. They're pretenders. They have Derek Carr. Remember that. That's, that's the, that's the quote there from CJ Gardner Johnson, who was doing a lot of ranting because he's a former saint. And I think he felt disrespected. And they were playing dirty, you know, potentially spitting on players. The dirty hit on the decapitation of Devontae Smith was certainly unsavory. Hey, Layton Johnson had a concussion. And he's being reported. Pam Oliver's like, yeah, Lane's vomiting on the sideline right now because, you know, his head spinning basically due to concussion. They asked Jimmy as that game was wrapping up, what was the difference between what the Saints have done the first two weeks in this game against the Eagles. He said talent, you know, so maybe Philly has replaced their, their front and, you know, they're going to be one of the better defenses. That's, that's kind of what it looked like. But that was like worst case scenario for, I think, for the Cowboys to see what Philadelphia did. But I still think the Saints defense is really dang good. Oh, yeah. They slowed Philly down quite a bit. Sequan reached a top speed of 21.66 miles per hour on that 65 yard touchdown run second fastest by a ball carrier this season and the fastest on a run play, according to next gen difference in the game. Oh, absolutely it was. Yeah. I mean, that and George or Dallas Goddard, excuse me, with the one handed grab where, and, and his, he was a yak monster on that play, but I mean, they, they, they racked up a ton of yards. The Eagles offense did, but they are shooting themselves in the foot on these fourth down decisions, man. They, they actually should have kicked the field goal and they go forward on fourth. The coach is not working. They were one for three on fourth down, weren't they? I think that's what it ended up being. Yeah. I mean, that's one of those games where the Eagles win and their fans are still like, we hate our coach so much. And I certainly get that. Did you see the look like a designed lateral touchdown Detroit Lions? That was one of the coolest type of Brown. It was, it was, well, Saint Brown to Jameer Gibbs. Okay. It was like going to call play. Yeah, it was badass. It looks like a design downfield lateral and he was just getting him to the end zone. Is that what he was doing? It wasn't a hooking ladder. So it's a, yeah, it's a slant. It's a slant to Saint Brown. Right. And then Jameer Gibbs runs out of the backfield and just crosses his face there running the opposite direction. Right. And as soon as Brown catches the slant, he flips it to Jameer who's now going the other way and runs like 20 yards for a touchdown. It looks, I mean, it looks like a designed downfield lateral hook and ladder style. It was, it was awesome. And it was executed to perfection. Yeah. I think team should be doing more of this kind of stuff. I'll take a creative, you know, out of the box thinking, yeah, yeah. And you need, you need legitimate skill players, not, you know, DB's masquerading as receivers or running backs or something to get this done. You need, you know, guys that played quarterback in high school. Yeah. And speaking of super guys, you know, super bees who can get it done right now, skill guys, Malik neighbors will be seeing him Thursday night. He was targeted 12 times, eight catches 78 yards, two touchdowns, accounted for 57% of the giant's air yards as a team. And he's the only receiver in the NFL to account for over half his team's air yards on the season. Man, everything is dysfunctional about the giants until Malik neighbors is on screen. And then suddenly everything looks pretty good. Dude's wide open. Dude's catching everything. Uh, you know, Danny Dimes is on the money. Like it's, it's pretty cool to watch him play, you know, even, even though he's, he's a giant, I think they finally got one right. Yeah. He's, he's, what did Nick Saban call him in college? An effing problem. That's exactly. That's exactly what he is. Yeah. He does. And, and finally here, speaking of making it look easy. Patrick's or tan corner. My goodness. He's now gone three games. He's covered DK Metcalf, George Pickens and Mike Evans. He's given up six catches for 63 yards on the season. He just shut down Mike Evans yesterday. Like it was nothing. So salute to him. Thank you, chief. Cowboys hours coming up at seven o'clock brought you by your North Texas. Four dealers. Four is the best in Texas and we're back to mix with the fan after dark. Get you set for the evening here in the nation. Thank you very much, Lucius. It is the G back nation here on a 105 three, the fan, the fan after dark is coming up from eight to 11. The Cowboys hour is coming up from seven to eight here on your home of the Cowboys 105 three, the fan. What do you guys think? Is there hope that this season can get turned around Brian? You know, Bella check says this is fixable. Will the Cowboys at some point or is this just going to be a continuation for the next three and a half months? Well, you got to figure out exactly, you know, with your likely better than the Giants, see what happens with the Steelers. You know, they've got a quarterback that's really good at running to play really good defense. And then, you know, the lions are a physical running team as well. It just doesn't bode very well for the deficiencies that you have. No lions won't revenge. Yeah, but you got to find a way offensive lead to to help your defense out. You know, you got to start, you know, what you saw in the end of the third after the misfield goal and the end of the third, end of the fourth, they say, so this offense can work. You know, I mean, they don't have the ability to run the ball right now, but you can see what happened. They can open some things up and get some rhythm with their offense, but they're going to be stagnant on offense and not play run defense. They're not going to win many games this year. Yeah, that's going to be a big, big problem. And that's what's in the coaches DNA. Yeah. And they're about and they're about to, again, embark on a, you know, the Steelers have found a way to play football. Yeah, they run. They play defense. Their quarterback actually started the game nine for nine yesterday. Yeah, he looks pretty good in there as first time in his career. These went three straight, I mean, they're not racking up points or anything. No, complimentary football. They play really good on defense and they don't, they don't f up the games. So yeah, coach, we'll have fun trying to figure out a cool and fun way to talk about you know, week four with Eric Kendrick's tomorrow, he's going to join us at five o'clock. It's always interesting doing a player show when the season turns ugly. I always remember 2010. My first year here, our player was Jay Ratliff. Oh gosh, and certainly dude. And he was, he was fired up about how bad it had gone. You know, he was intense. You know, he was looking to be confrontational about it. So it was one, it was like a high wire act on thin ice to get through that. We were doing it live at a bar where there were like intoxicated fans coming up to him and asking him questions at the break in person. It was live. Yeah. Did he get, did he ever like, was there ever a moment? I mean, there were moments where he was fired up. Sure. You know, but I never felt like Jay Rallis about to lose it. He was just going really impassioned rant. I saw, I saw he and Calvin Watkins go nose to nose. Calvin Watkins didn't back down from him one time. Calvin's the man. Calvin went after him and he went after Calvin. And I literally thought there was going to be a fist fight in the, in the, in the locker room there at Valley Ranch. The Calvin didn't back down from it. Like Calvin was like, everybody's like trying to pull him apart. You know, and Calvin's, you know, Calvin's trying to fight to kind of get to the guy. Yeah. He's a savage beast. I'm like, I'm like, geez, Calvin, I was saying he goes, I ain't going to let that MF or do that. You know, that kind of, that's the season is going to do. We put his hands on them though. What the player know? What was Calvin going to do when he actually got to them? Calvin was going to try and I mean, he and Calvin Lucius were, they were literally like, their noses were touching that they're that close. It must have been adrenaline. Cause you ain't doing nothing with Jay Rallis, bro. He got you about 120 pounds. I give Calvin credit. I like the standing in there. Oh, yeah, I get it. Yeah. Yeah, hold me back, fam. Please hang tough. Please, please hold me back. You want some? No, he, he, no, it wasn't like a fake, hold me back situation. Calvin was like, they started that close. And then it turned to where you, they, you know, pulled him apart, kind of a thing. Like he, yeah, Calvin might have got destroyed, but he was not going to let that guy get away with him. I got some heart. Yeah. Give it. Sometimes as the younger guy, you can get in somebody's face and think there's no way this big guy is actually going to kick my ass. You know, he probably feels bad for me right now. Or there's just no way a player is going to actually beat up a media member. I think I can bow up here. I'm safe, you know, and Calvin Watkins was safe that day. I think Jerry Jones actually had a face to face with Jay Ratliff as well. Maybe the following year or shortly thereafter, things got a little bit chaotic because Jay refused to play. He was like, Nope, I'm hurt. Not playing for you. And so the Cowboys were like, okay, I guess we're cutting you. And then the next week he was playing with the bears. You know, so things definitely got a little heated and personal. Yeah, big show tomorrow, though, not only Eric Kendrick's, we're going to have the Rangers player show. Not sure who we're going to get prior to Grom, you know, why the Grom? Yeah, or I don't know, but maybe who knows. We'll have see why on for sure at 420. So that'll be a lot of fun. And then Mark Schlarath is going to join us once again. We'll be talking football with with Mark Schlarath, Stink, former Bronco and former commander there. Stink in the in the 440. What position is most in need right now? Brian, I heard over there.com you guys are talking about maybe we need to, you know, generate the draft show a little earlier this year. What do you think is going to be the focal point right now? Let's let's assume they're picking around 15th. Let's see. That means you're what you're right there about nine and eight, right? With your record stuff. Probably about all right. It's barely in or barely out. We nailed our prediction. If that's the case, we did. I mean, I'm looking, I think at the top of the board right now, you wish I knew all the players because I can tell you what position deep again, there's, I think there's like five projected first round receivers right now. There are a couple of running backs that we'll have in the conversation. We take a running back. Not in the first round. Oh, with these, you put it past the Cowboys take a running back in the first round. I sure as hell hope not. Well, Chuck, but now that you got me second guess, but no, I wouldn't put it past them, but uh, defensive tackle, I don't think they're going to go down that route again. That seems like a big defensive end. Yeah, you need pass ratios, man. I mean, you only got one pass. You kind of feel like that they could take any position. I don't know how to work out for him, except maybe, you know, maybe not the offensive line. We'll see what they got young players. Yeah, but they, you know, you kind of feel like the TJ Bass, right? That would be the plug and play in there. Yeah. I think you could plug and play unless you want to go get some greatness. I can maybe get some something better. I mean, like if I found if there was a center that I had graded really highly, I would move BB to guard and he's good to rock there. I would think this sounds like to me that I bet you they take, I bet they take a defensive lineman. I bet you they take a defensive lineman. I mean, don't you need another wide receiver pretty bad? You don't have a number two. Yeah, but what happens is this, we'll get in this draft and me and Zach will look at 215 players and 40 of them. We wide receivers. Oh, we can get one in the second or third. We can get you one in the third round. Yeah. Behind Justin Jefferson or senior man, another Michael gal. No, that's a little different that you probably have to do. But these every year, it seems like the draft is really deep with corners and it's really deep with wide receivers. Well, they just took kneeling. I don't know, maybe tank retires, they could definitely use another end. I feel like they could use another corner. Yeah. Yeah. Like I think that's a position that it's always good to take a shot at. Obviously, if there's a stud linebacker in the middle of the first run, a middle linebacker who can cover and tackle and diagnose and everything, you're taking a middle linebacker there, wouldn't you? Well, you don't. Yeah. I mean, depending on what you're thinking about with, you know, does somebody show like in this, during the season when the young guys wears overshone and Clark or somebody like that shows it might be might Lufal might be your middle linebacker too. You know, there might be, they might say, well, we've got guys in place. I'm not against another linebacker, but I don't know if they would, they could have dressed that last year with the kid from North Carolina state. Oh, well, yes. Yes. They could have. And they didn't. It did not. What a day, what a Cowboys Monday as a rock bottom, I feel like was hit yesterday, acceptance that this is going to be a long road out there. I don't think there's a quick fix on this season. I'd be fascinated to see what could happen with a pretty good running back. Jerry Jones getting dunked all over. When asked, you know, why couldn't the Cowboys afford Derek Henry in the off season, he laughed and said, uh, why can't you buy a mansion when you live in a different kind of house? We couldn't afford it. We couldn't make that all fit. It's as simple as that. I mean, my, my, the only way it makes sense to me is they just thought we're not a running back away. We could get a running back and our defense is going to be so depleted, which it appears to be that, that it wouldn't matter. That's the only way I could justify it because how good they were last year, I would look at it and say our offensive line is going to be a little bit better in the running game as we get younger. If we, uh, you know, could get the equivalent of a younger Tony Pollard, you know, a guy who could actually make house calls, you know, hit the whole fast, I would think that that opens it up to being like an actual balanced offense that could take pressure off of your defense. It worked in a big way in 2014 and 2016. And, you know, I would, I would think they'd want to circle back around to that. But the only thing that makes sense to me is that they're, they're going to keep dry powder, you know, to take something from, from Mav's years gone Bible. We got a run nation. Thanks so much to Lucius Alexander in the pimp cup over there at Master Control here, 75 and fits you. Thanks to Carter Freeman, coordinate in your video.
