It's our five G back nation on 105 three the fan. Hope you're having a terrific little Tuesday. College football super segments coming up at 620. Cross talk at 640 with the get right guys. Blake's already in the house. They're ready to have a great time tonight. It's time now though for a TV Tuesday. Here's your TD hosts. We'll chuck and she'll follow. We've been waiting so long for this months and months and months. And finally it is here in all of its glory. It's fun time for our first official. TD Tuesday. Boom. Shaka like, boom Shaka like TV Tuesday. Shaka. To the moment we've all been waiting for a TD Tuesday as big as it gets here in the G bag nation. We started to Thursday night in Kansas City. The home of the champions banners are coming down from the heavens and there's old Derek Henry the new Raven of Baltimore Finding Vader first touchdown of the year. Give us a Henry right side powers his way in touchdown Raven Derek Henry touchdown number one as a Raven touchdown number one of the 24 seasons. Things went sideways form after that man. I sure did. And Harbaugh's like, we didn't bring Henry in here in all three times again. It's not our style. So we do. He's not going to be the belt cow like he was in Tennessee, but a glorious first TD of the NFL season. We then go to Arizona and there's few things better than a kick return for a touchdown. Turpin got one. And how about for Miami hurricane DJ Dallas. This one hangs in the air. It'll make it past the 20, but it's taken on the five yard line by Dallas up the middle 10, 20, 30, 35 Dallas to the 40 breaks a tackle bar side of midfield 45 40 Dallas 35 30 25 20 Dallas to the 10 to the five dives into the end zone. It's a touchdown for the Cardinals. A kickoff return for a score in Arizona's right back in the game. 95 yards for DJ he Dallas that he's been hanging on for dear life in the NFL. And now these new kickoff return rules many might have even more staying power. I think you might have got one opening kickoff for the Cowboys though. If one day Thomas could have just held on that block a little bit longer. Something to look forward to. We'll get us one. We'll get us one. That's for sure. Doesn't call for the guy to get to. You do one more. Oh yeah. Yes, it's gonna happen. I'm looking forward to it. Shout out to the Cardinals though, man. That's a frisky bunch. I think they're going to be given fits to a lot of people got to get Marvin Harrison Jr. going a little bit there. Yeah, cause they're on the football. Yeah. No question, man. That's going to be a tough out kind of from the football. Yeah. Well, let's go to the world of college football. Big college TDS in the big house. Bennett Brodice's Texas Longhorn Storm into Michigan with Longhorn flags flying on the Ann Arbor campus. Thanks to Cooper Manning. But it's the starting quarterback Quinn Ewers getting it done. Second down and eight. The Wolverine 21. Tell them the tight end shifts in motion from left to right. Ewers from the gun has the snap play action looks under pressure now as running room but first for the end zone hill. Touchdown Texas. When you were stepped up in the pocket and fired a strike down the center of the field and the tight end gunner Hill has the first one. Warren score the game. She has to make way. I love here. I love here Craig. Great call by Craig. Great call. But what a great throw from yours. I mean climbing up into the pocket, moving a little bit and then ripped it. Just got it right in there. All right. Buffalo. Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills like the Buffalo Bills boy. Do they do it in this game on Sunday? They're down to Arizona. Then all of a sudden here comes Josh Allen putting the Superman cape on. Allen in the shotgun concave and cook in the backfield on either side of him. Cook in late motion. Here's the snap. Looks to the right flat to cook. Now steps up in the pocket throws. Now he's going to run and the beast has once again been released. Josh Allen with a six yard touchdown. Rump. His second rushing touchdown of the day. Four total touchdowns from the Bills QB. Can you say MVP? Wow. Drag down. I was just about to give that the early the early leader for best call of the week here. Wow. In the first TD Tuesday of the season. But he got a little bit long winded. He was handing out MVP awards in the first four quarters of the season. It rhymed though, you know, the romping for it to be released. He's really nice. There's a lot going on there. I can appreciate that call for sure. I can also appreciate the best quarterback in football finding Mr. Xavier always worthy for paid her. Now sprints in motion of the right flat homes will throw it right sideline wide open with the catch. Xavier worthy. Ten five touchdown. Kansas City. Xavier worthy. The second time in the end zone in the first game of his career. A 35 yard strike by my homes to the Chiefs first round draft pick. Oh, Mitch. Yeah, pretty good weekend there for the horns. Xavier worthy. A couple of touchdowns. Texas beats up on Michigan. Casey radio again, crushing it. Yeah, Casey radio. I tell you what, I was listening to the Monday night version of Kevin Harlan with that call. That was Harlan's Harley Harlan call that when he's fantastic. All right, let's go to a duck bears the Chicago Bears. Now, there weren't any Caleb Williams studies to speak of yet. But his defense stepped up big time. And it was the main ace man himself who was the culprit. Will Levis, a pick six variety for a TD. Levis swallowed up gets rid of it. Oh, my gosh. Down the sidelines for the 20. Then a 10 to the five to the end zone. Tyreeks Stevenson for the lead in the fourth quarter. Will Levis under he just flipped it in the air. The easiest pick six you're going to find for Tyreeks Stevenson bears 22 17 with 735 to go in the game. Now, I don't know if you heard this, but if we could lose to just play the very beginning again, soon as the pick happens, listen to the color guy in the height of pleasure. Levis swallowed up gets rid of it. Oh, he says I'm gonna swallow it up. Oh, yeah. He was waiting for that one. I mean, as bad of an interception as you could ever throw. I mean, he flipped it out there like it was something like he had money on the game like an option pitch that's supposed to go two or three yards. He had money on the game. Yeah. Yeah, it was. And then he's down on his knees and he's got his hands on his head and he's just completely yes. He's like, how did I make the dumbest, the dumbest possible thing I could have done there. I did it. You and I were sitting here doing the pregame and I saw that and you go, there's your guy. And I'm like, yeah, there's my guy. There he is, man. And all his glory. That's the Will Levis experience. You're up 17. Nothing. And then the other team doesn't score a touchdown offensively, but they find a way to win and cover teams that have won games that without scoring a touchdown the most all time, your Arizona Cardinals were seven wins without scoring a series. Maybe that shouldn't be a surprise. That's an amazing stat. Weird things happen in Brazil as well. Yeah, playing on it on an ice hockey rink, slipping and sliding 33 yards. Oh, there goes Jaden Reed, loving the shotgun Wilson to us right. They stacked two receivers left have a wing set up on the right side and now love takes hands off. Jaden Reed around the right end. Reed makes turn 30 25. So the defender 1510. Yes. Reed. Yes. It was the Jaden Reed coming out party though. It's up out a man. Yeah, hell of a game. It was phenomenal. And at first time, I mean, can you imagine you're scoring the first ever Brazilian TD of your entire life? Isn't this gracious? I mean, you go to South America and you and you come home getting to tell stories about all the BBLs. Unbelievable, man. Amazing. Larry McCure. All right. Let's go to New England. These guys probably weren't thinking they were going to get a lot of tutties, but they sure did get one in the form of Ramon Dre Stevenson. Third and goal to go just outside the three. A heavy set, three tight ends are it. Osborne motions left to right. Preset under center. Stevens in the back. He takes the hand up. He runs it to the right side. He's in with the end zone. Touchdown. Patriots. Scott Zolack getting a little guy gets excited. He gets excited in the game. But seven nothing, you know, all of a sudden, I'm thinking to myself, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, please, no, yep. Have you since an edit of Ramon Dre Stevenson's 120 rushing yards on Sunday, 118 of them came after contact after contact. My boy had week one fresh election. Fantastic. And he had that new off season money as well. Yeah, he did. He got paid. I guess it makes sense. A little extra pep in his step back to Brazil for some Latin filthy teeties to hunt dots into the far side hurts back hurts looking, hurts looping in, and it is cut for a touchdown by Bartley. Bartley for a touchdown in a perfect past as he beats Isaiah McDuffie. Who does the broadcast with the swollen tongue guy? Oh, it's Mike quick. Okay, Mike was excited about that one, too. Yeah, that felt pretty good in the end zone. Yeah, he did it. He did it. It too. That was pretty ask right there. Yeah, it was. Go believe yourselves, filthy. All right, let's go to Houston. Stefani C.J. Stroud's new toy didn't have one, but two teeties. C.J. Stepping to his left throws to the end zone caught digs touchdown number two. It's a beauty. And the Texans are about to go up two scores again. Sure did. And they want it. That was enough. That was enough to do it. Indianapolis was crawling back close. Didn't do it. Houston's got a squad, though. They do their good team. Yes. Yes. It was a divisional game and the will stick right there with the Colts where Anthony Richardson is just throwing rocket launchers in Houston. I should do one in motion on the right side. Play action Richardson dancing in the pocket. Hurls a downfield crossing pattern caught. Damn it. It's doing racing for the end zone. 15 10 5 touchdown. He's in. He's in. That's a 54 yard crossing pattern in a run after the catch for Ashton Duhlin. Heck yeah. Heck yeah. Hey, that's, that's worn to do. That was an unbelievable rocket shot there from Anthony Richardson, who was, I mean, probably putting, I mean, that I would guess he could throw the ball on additional 20 yards in the air. Yeah. When he's actually setting up and trying. I mean, he had somebody in his face. He's slipping. It was like he was in Brazil, but he was on the turf of Indianapolis. All right. Let's go to Miami where let's see if their broadcast still sounds like it's underwater last year to a to Tyreke Hill fresh off being detained. He's finding his way in the end zone for some DDS. I actually take to a back to throw. Wants a deep one. He's got Tyreke. Tyreke of a 40, 35, 30, down the sideline. He don't touch down Miami. Oh my gosh. Speed killed once again. Tyreke Hill. To the house. 80 yards. We have the little song. I mean, the audio is so damn bad for their broadcast. So they played that song when they get in the end zone. Yeah, they're in the air. They're on the ground. They're always in control. Greatest football team that kills the momentum. And dude, it's so funny. It does feel like you need to kind of let the dust settle before you fire off the fight zone. Like if you wait till the kickoff's about to happen or something, I didn't even feel like Tyreke Hill had crossed the plan there before. I think he crossed it yet. I was fired it up. Hey, everybody's in, you know, still preseason form here. I heard that song. It's awful. It's, it's so bad. It's so bad. It's fighting. We're playing football. He did it. He did it. He did it. He got the ramen for a touch. Now. It's like round of bed nods and broomsticks in the 70s. Fight, fight. He paid to rebates to some years ago. We should, uh, I'm surprised they don't play the new age version. They should be paying who did a rendition of that. Uh, okay. Let's get to New Orleans. Derek Garr, man. Are you kidding me? Uh, I feel like this guy is probably somebody that no one's ever heard before for many. Raheed Shaheed found pater within five seconds of the game starting out of a shot in this car. Panthers bring four car stands. Now fires a deep middle of the field. Was she seen? See you later. Five minutes down. New Orleans. Was she middle of the field post pattern 64 yards and a perfect pass with car. He gets an outpass JC horn to Rashid Shaheed. That's how you start. See you later. Bye. Yeah. That was the first touchdown of an NFL Sunday. He's very boomer bust. I mean, you're going to watch him. This dude is like 20 to 30 yards a catch. Otherwise he's not doing much for you. Yeah, but he's a deep threat. No doubt about it. All right. Let's go to Minnesota where the Vikings were beaten up on the little giant Sam Darnold with a TD for the bikes first and 10 for the Vikings from the giants 21. Darnold shotgun puts Justin Jefferson in halo motion to the right. JJ started in the backfield. Darnold is going to throw to the end. So man wide open. Touchdown Vikings. Jalen Naylor with his second career touchdown. Sam has thrown two today and the Vikings lead 20 to three. Did he sound shocked? The Vikings lead 20 to three. What the hell is happening? Is he new? Sam Darnold looks confident. No, that's the same guy. That's Paul Allen. Paul Allen. Paul Allen. No way. No way. No, I'm sorry. That can't be. I was wondering if that was a new 10 for the Vikings from the giants 21. Darnold shotgun puts Justin Jefferson in halo motion to the right. JJ in the backfield. Darnold is going to throw to the end. So man wide open. Touchdown Vikings. Sam did. Adrian is loose. All right, man. It does not sound like he did sound shocked. Thank you, Brian. Yeah, we were all shocked when Sam Darnold looked not only competent, but he was he started like what 12 of 12 or something he's throwing throwing darts everywhere. That's what happens to get to play the giants. Currently the guy only thing better than playing the giants oftentimes is playing the Raiders. And that's what the Chargers had the opportunity to do in week one. It's the new era in Los Angeles. Here's Herbert to his favorite lad. Dobbins checks back in on this third and six in the right pocket of Herbert Herbert to throw and has them on the cross or it's McCaukey shuffle shuffle. Oh, lad. And he broke two sets of ankles on that touchdown grab. Oh, laddy, not one, but two shuffle shuffle. That's my guy, lad, McCaukey, Matt Moneysmith. Great call there from Chargers radio network. All right. Let's go to Nebraska where they were hosting the Colorado Buffalo's big time game. Is this the return of the big red? Not a good moment for Shador shotgun. Look down out to the right of Dylan tight formation to the left. One wide outright. Dylan claps the hands, gets the snap, gives it off to Donte has another C 10 five touchdown. Wow. Yeah, just get all night. All night. Well, I'll take the out of 12 year touchdown run. All night. All night. I don't know what is a 11 AM game, but some of that. I don't know what happened with that that that audio there. Things got a little bit crazy. I guess that's what happens when you have hundreds of thousands of people in your stadium. Yeah, the entire state of Nebraska shows up in Lincoln for a game day. Well, let's get up to the Pacific Northwest where my survivor pick for week one Seattle Seahawks and Geno Smith wearing the throwback uni's move over Kenneth Walker. We got to give it to the Charbonnet. Here's Gino on a first down and 10 stepping up in the pocket. Look, throw down field wide open touchdown Seahawks. Zach Charbonnet wheels out of the backfield and nobody saw him except us 30 yards for the touchdown the Seahawks stretch their lead. We're the only ones. Nobody some except us. We see what other good football guys today. Us. That's us. All right. Let's go fire them cannon. Shall we take it away? Tampa Bay. White shifts into the backfield dropping bacon throws a sideline route. It is football. My heavens with a guy. Touchdown Tampa Bay. Fire the cannons. Get up going. Fire the cannons. Good. I'm going to watch now. I love him so much, man. He's the best. He is is an ultimate homer, though, that gene is a gene decker. Yeah, it's gene decker. I think it's I think it's decker off. Yeah, yeah. No horn tomato to me. He was he was very homaristic with us. Yeah, gene is Sunday night football. We close things down in the city of Detroit, where it's a walk off style bully ball in overtime. One yard touchdown. God takes the snap turns, gives them my gumbry right side. Yeah, this game over packet up boys. We're going home. They had open the night for the lions. They come from behind in the final minute and tie it. They take the ball in overtime and March 70 yards down the field and win it. Two teams will meet out in the middle of the field to say job well done. Job better done on this night by your Detroit Lions. Wow. It's 20. The final score. I would say act like you've been there before, but they haven't often. You know, I enjoy it. Enjoy it. Enjoy it. We're going home, boys. Dan Miller on that call. Let's go. Danny Mill. Oh, dear. Cheers to week one. Great edition of TD2. The motor boating has commenced. Oh, it's so good. It's back. Magic Johnson thought that was a game one over reaction. Here we go guys. Coming up next, it is time for a college football super segment who will check. This is you. What do we have in store? Lawsuits blaming Netflix and Venmo requests. That's next. Yeah, buddy. Welcome back. It is the G back nation here on 1053. The fan segment is brought to you by cars for kids. Donate today. Cars for kids. Dot org. It's brought to you by the Frankels. Life's unpredictable acts that it's happened. Franklin Franklin, frankly, the go to attorneys for current truck recs and DFW. If you were a loved one has been in an accident, contact the Frankels for a free consultation, two one four or eight one seven three, three, three, three, 33, 33 go to Frankel firm.com. Can we take a little vote? We're just discussing on the being Eric had the pre and post game show for the Steelers game. That's in a few weeks, right? Yeah. It's the first weekend of October, I believe. Okay. Vote. Would you like to hear waltchuck calling drunk from the stadium there? Well, it's going to be going as a fan. Yeah. He's going to say this is, let's go to Zack and Pittsburgh going behind enemy lines for real in Pittsburgh. Yeah. Well, yeah, let's go. Only if it's vote, vote if you'd like to hear him behind enemy lines. Yes, especially if it's a, if it doesn't go the Cowboys way. Yeah. Waltchuck will give us an epic post game call like him fighting visually. If I'm like, he was like, if you're drinking, well, we'll see. Maybe it's like he's at the rudder room wanting to fight some dude, you know, the worst was the tram. It's a spring training airport. The what? The tram. Okay. You're writing this thing. Thought you were talking about brought us in Vegas. Lucius, come on. Yeah, little train thingy, deck up pretty well. You were cussing. You thought you thought Jerry was saying Zeke was coming back. Yeah. Well, then that was going into 2023. Little did you know he said next year? Yeah, I mean, emotions just run eyes sometimes. All right. Let's get to some college football. Shall we shout out to Texas and Michigan? They average 9.35 million viewers on Fox go watch college football game. 9.35 mil thus far. Yeah, under just under 10, 10 million. It's one of my favorite numbers, number 9.35. Is that like? Did I say they're on? I thought you were fine. Jared had a problem, but he's highly educated. What should I've said? Yeah, 35, 9.35 I think is like the, like the most screw it. I said 35, 35, Jared had a problem with it. Then again, he's highly educated. Here you go. I'm sure the mice are going to watch the damn game. What the hell. I love it. I love you. I didn't have a problem with any of it. You know that. Okay. 9.35. I'm sorry. Thank you for the correction. I do appreciate you. Hey, you know, he doesn't have a good sense of you don't like that. Look, he's looking around. Nobody's scared. He doesn't have his headphones on people that are listening. That's why I'm being able to talk to his headphones. Yeah. All right. Texas fans. Get ready. Steve Sarkeesian is using an old donate the cheese bill Parcells bid. Oh, oh, we got mouse traps in the lockers. No, but Notre Dame is the guilty party. So Steve Sarkeesian is using what just happened to Notre Dame's lucky charms boxes in their loss in Northern Illinois as emotional. Hey, don't let this happen to you against UTSA next week. Okay. You just saw what happened to the fight in Irish. They went and beat Texas A&M on the road. And then what happened? They lose in Northern Illinois. So SARC makes a note of that during his pregame or his, his compressed conference and they're currently 34 and a half point favorites. This Texas right now against the road runners. He said, it was a time the road owners were pretty good. What's going on with Jeff trailer? They lose all our players to transfer portal thing. They graduated and I think the transfer portals hurt them. But UTSA is a good program. Yeah. Now they struggled on offense. They're using two different quarterbacks right now. They, they graduated their former starter and Frank Harris. Okay. So they're trying to find a new one, but that coach is pretty highly thought that trailer. Yeah. I mean, he's probably going to end up getting a new Texas job. Maybe the tech job. I mean, I hope you got you in Maguire stays around, but my you and team in green might beat them this weekend. SARC said the worst opponents or the, are the toughest opponents to play. They're the ones that are wounded and they're backed into a corner. UTSA has got a varying talented team that really well coached, coach trailers done a nice job there and they're a little wounded coming out of last week. So we know we're going to get their best shot. We're going to get their best version. We think Texas on upset alert here. You know what? Can I tell a real quick story before I go to upset alert? Yeah. We were seventh ranked at LSU. He got beat by Miami, Ohio. Oh man. Seventh ranked in the country got beat by Miami. Bill Orange, part of the head coach walked in says, gentlemen, you'll have to live with that game the rest of your life. You living with it? That's it. Yeah, I do. I remember I met a player from their wide receiver named Andy Schillinger. And on his Mac championship ring had the score of the LSU game. He showed me it to me. I'm like, I go, I, I remember that well, remember that well. Hopefully that doesn't happen to Texas for the horn fans out there. That's true. That would definitely I think we're going to see more of it though with the transferring. I like what you're doing here. And you know, a program like Northern Illinois, it's like a George Mason college basketball program that goes on a final four run because they have continuity. They have a brotherhood, you know, and they're going to stick together. Several Cowboys say I'm heard. I believe Northern Illinois Doug free Northern Illinois free. So they've put out some some NFL caliber talent there. Now this is we talked about this Netflix show that they're going to do drive to survive esque with the SEC. Oh, so last week they were following around the Kentucky Wildcats. That's a big L in Lexington. Yep. And they suffered an embarrassing loss to South Carolina 31 to 6 at home. So now the fan base is blaming Netflix. They got to lash out on somebody. They're lashing out on Netflix. Apparently the Netflix crew followed members of the UK football team all week leading up to the game against Carolina. No wonder they weren't ready to play. No wonder they weren't focused. What do you think about this? I mean, I think this is just, hey, I don't think Netflix has anything to do with this. Maybe it is a little bit of an abstraction. I don't know. This could be hard knocks ex esque. I boy, I did not like being a part of that at all. I know it was entertainment for everybody. But man, to live that and be a part of that, it's not fun. It really isn't. Well, I believe a game day now is going to be going to South Carolina. Oh, LSU. They're going to be hosting LSU. Yeah. So South Carolina is a big winner in this, but Netflix getting some hate from the Kentucky fandom. And I think Will Chambers is really given the bird to Netflix as well. I mean, he's even going to watch the show now. I think he's just boycotting it. He doesn't even want to watch it. Yeah. Will had about eight drinks when he thought about that, man. I'm telling you, I ain't going to watch that crap. I think we should make sure we pull all the audio from that episode and make sure Will's listening and then just replay it. That would be great. Just see how much money Miami spent to bring the you back to prominence. Oh, and I already like, isn't it like 15 or 20 million? I spent in roughly 15 million right now. I asked a buddy of mine who's a director of football operations for one of the one of the big time teams. I said, how much to be a top 10 team money wise a year. He goes between 18 and 23 million. So that's what you're going to have to spend. He says, the top program right now is your cabbage or Oregon ducks and spending. Yeah, they're the spending giants here. Well, they have just an open well of money, thanks to the Nike guy. But they say, like I said, if you have between 18 and 23 million, you could be a top 10 teams spent most of his life saying, you know, I don't want to throw, you know, so much money at this program, but now that he's getting into his eighties, he's like, man, I don't got more time. We got to go get this championship done. But you know, I look at a school like SMU, you know, what are we waiting on? They raised a hundred million dollars. Didn't they Lucius? I don't know. 23 mill. Yeah, they, they, I think, I think it's me to get in the ACC. They're not getting any benefit of TV money or anything like that. They're having to actually play short that way. They're alums. I think went over a hundred million dollars for the for the overall program. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Well, I mean, 23 million is not a ton of money. If you think about the amount of money they're bringing in got to spin the right way, though, get to make sure you're not buying DJ. Oh, yeah, unbelievable. Yeah. Whatever I got. Would you have to say his name? DJ Ungoloule. That's a good one. I tried. I think you crushed it honestly. DJ you. I think you did. There you go. DJ you. Yeah. SMU is making a switch though at quarterback. They're moving on. They got two local products, Preston Stone. He's been, he's been a little rough. He went to Parrish Episcopal. Yeah. Kevin Jennings, who's the quarterback from South Oak Cliff when a state championship. They're going to their bench in stone. They're going with Kevin Jennings. I've been following the ponies. Yeah. SMU is a fun team. Now, both of them played in their loss against BYU. Yeah. And Preston Stone. Hi, recruit. I mean, he was so much fun to watch in high school, but I guess it hasn't really been panning out. It has. And so now they're going to go with Kevin Jennings and we'll see. I mean, Stone sat three times, faced a lot of pressure. Jennings ended up coming out in the entirety of the second half. Now, he led five field goal drives and I like they were ending in touchdowns, but he definitely was a little bit better than Stone. They should be three and O. They had a chance to be by BYU. Dude, that play in the fourth quarter with that running back where he's trying to like pitch it back to his guy as he's being tackled and it becomes a fumble and it's recovered and you're at like the 10 yard line and you're getting ready to take the lead in the fourth quarter. That was as bone heady of a play as really, you'll see other than, of course, we'll love us in that ridiculous interception. Why? Why? Yeah, just bring it back up. I assume you want to buy they'll take on TCU and then Kevin Jennings will get the start there. Uh, we will wrap up the college football super sag with North Texas and Texas tech, the game of the weekend. And yes, it is the game of the weekend. They should be in, they should be in love it for game day. They should be with North Texas and Chandler Morris, the main green coming to town. Now, Eric Morris, who is the head coach of North Texas is a tech alum, was a slot receiver at Texas tech recruited by Mike Leach. He's been hopping on some North Texas fan shows and he was talking about his interaction being recruited by the late great Mike Leach. He offered me in his office. Um, and so he always did this car. He had two ways. He had, um, you know, this phone trick where, where he loved my other tricks. So he'd have this phone deal and they called it the wizard. And so, um, you know, he'd have some guy, I don't know, you'd call this number and the wizard would talk back to you. But it was always kind of the wizard knew who was in the office at that point. And they were kind of, uh, they were keyed in and what was about to happen. So the wizard taught to me and, and said something that I was a really good player and thought that the fortunes would be great. If, if I did end up going to Texas tech and then Mike said, Hey, I'm gonna do a card trick. And then at, at the end of the card trick, he has the whole deck out. He does a whole elaborate trick. And then he said, okay, uh, Eric, if this whole stacks all red cards and this whole stacks all black cards, then you have a scholarship here. And I was in there with my parents. It was on my official visit, um, a couple of weeks before signing day. Um, and really, you know, I thought they were going to, they thought they were going to get me to walk on for a long time. And then SMU started recruiting me hard late. Um, coach Bennett was there was a head coach and I was going to go on official the next weekend. And they were going to offer me a scholarship on the, on the visit. And so, um, but they were all red. They were all black and my mom and dad are in there. So a special moment for us, you know, and, and both of my parents being public educators, I mean, to get a free education was, was a huge deal for me. And, and then, you know, something, um, the, the opportunity was something that I ran with. I told coach Leach and when he left, he would not be disappointed in the decision he made. Good for him, man. Man, it's called the wizard. And it's just a great, I gotta love the bets. Nonstop entertainment. Always, you know, always having beers with Mike Leach was an absolute blast. Yeah, we miss them. We really, especially for these seconds. I mean, the audio goal that he would give us every single week. We miss you. Uh, we had the Mike Leach bowl last week with the Washington state and tech. And now his former player, Eric Morris, leaving more Texas there into Lubbock. So it'll be a fun one on Saturday. Right on. Thank you. We'll chuck little college football here for you on a Tuesday night in the G back nation, Rangers baseball coming up. They're back in Arizona for the first time since game five of the world bleeping series. So that'll be fun. Pregame's coming up at eight o'clock. There'll be a one hour get right coming up from seven to eight. I believe chief and Blake. I'm sorry. It's not the get right anymore. It's after dark, the fan after dark fan after dark. All right. I like time. Are they taking their shirts off and stuff? Maybe that was our bit. Guaranteed. No, they're they're doing the pants thing. Oh, yeah. They're dong balling for real. Well, Blake just has some hubris. Fair enough. Well, that would do it. All right. So we'll get ready for that. And more coming up next is the G back nation. You're on 105 three. The fan. Thank you, Lucius. The fan after dark coming up from seven to eight here on 105 three. The fan it is officially replaced to get right. Did we get the licensing? We're good. I can say it now. I've been holding back saying it. You have to have licensing? Apparently. I don't know. I don't know. The fan tech said to tell me, you know, to be honest with you. So we'll watch them around the bases here. Brought to you by Uber Eats. Rocker debuting Thursday. Blake, do you know how to say his name though, his first name Kumar? No, is that wrong? No, it's not. It's not like the movie. It's just Kumar. Well, that's better than I think the last one I was trying to say with Jared. I said our boy had a complete brain fart for got his name and sat on the air for about 10 seconds. Didn't say anything. Jared goes, who's our boy? And I was like, the tall guy who pitches. I said it like 10 seconds and blowing up in the minors. Okay, Tracy Rocker's son. Also, Janko joined us at four. That was a terrific interview said he wants to do a contract for the rest of his career with the Rangers because he loves Texas that much in his family. Yeah. It was Reggie that night that they had out there at the water park. Him and Reggie got together now. He just loves Texas. Yeah. Well, we love him. You know, I think he's joined us twice each of the last two seasons and they've been amongst the best Rangers player interviews award-winning highly acclaimed on the on the fan text. But yeah, that's that's a look at a around the basis brought to you by Uber each. Blake, what's coming up on the show tonight? Well, when I walked in, I got bullied by my co-hosts. I'm just trying to push through that work through that. What happened? How'd you get bullied? I got hosted with Jared. Jerry. Ryan. She a follow up. Chief wasn't. We'll check. They're all snickering, making jokes. Okay. No, no, it's fine. It wasn't bullying. They were bullying. I want the fans. I was pulling him out. What did you guys do to my guy? I was being bullied. Were they making front of your cutoff shirt or something? What were they doing now? So now you're adding on it. They didn't say anything about it. I was just. I was starting probably. We were just laughing that you we were talking about the Giants game and maybe like Brian and I do it. You know, one of those feats of strength or straight drive straight, go to LSU Bama, meet Jerry back. Yeah, after the game, do the cowboy game and they're playing the Giants the next day. And Blake was like, yeah, but I said, I think it's a home game that one. You're like, yeah, I think the next one's in New York and Jerry just goes, well, they play twice. Blake goes, Oh, I didn't know they're in front of both games. So I'm just just I figured out today that Giants and Cowboys play twice. So appreciate that. It's the crazy thing about vision. What's coming up on the show? So I got a little bit of a rag. I got a chief follow and I got Jared. So to start us off with chief, we're going to go through the whole entire NFL. What stuff surprised us the most? Whether that be a team, a player and whatnot kind of look back at week one before we move on to the next week. And then in the second part of the show at around six 30 ish, we will be going through the Cowboys players and we think didn't get talked about enough. And then some ones that maybe a group that deserved and needs to step it up a week to a little week to bounce back. Oh, I love it. Looking forward to that. Now you are you aware in baseball that the teams will play each other like two, three, four times in a row before they move on to a new opponent. I don't want off tonight. Actually do this. It's like a series. I want I want to say in the and when it comes to the playoffs that they've been changing the rules, you know, you got best of one, that's the threes. I think we should make everything a best of nine moving forward in all pros and best of nine. Best of nine. I don't care if it's football, basketball, uh, best of nine. We'll just cut half the regular season to a best nine in the playoffs. That's what we really want to post game show. We'll be clean up on the money. I think that's true. Best of nine. Well, maybe not for the Cowboys. I heard the, uh, we're done after the best. Now why might use it best tonight? That might work for him. Yeah. Hey, it's worth a shot, you know, current format. Not exactly going their way. Uh, speaking of the Cowboys, NFL week two power rankings are out for me. S P N. I heard it there in the T's from Sean and RJ, the minute to get to it throughout the day, their preseason ranking was 11. How much would you move them up? I thought they were, I thought they were, uh, going to be lower than that. I thought that some people were, I was seeing some people had him lower. He's been had him in 11. Okay. ESPN had 11. I saw like, I saw a 17. I saw or maybe were. Wow. Yeah. The rounds were ahead of them. They had quite a few teams. I'll say they've moved up to like eight. I was going to say eight as well. From 11. Yeah. Uh, I'm going to go nine. Okay. Nine eight. I'm going to go. I'm going to go seven. Seven. Wow. That's bold. And that is correct. Wow. With the preseason ranking of 11. You have it up on your computer right now. I know it's crazy, but, uh, I'm not all the way in on the week one power ranking just all over the place because it's just, there's like a million of them. You know, every time you turn around, somebody else has a power ranking and you're like, I'm just, I'm powering down or rank the power rankings. Uh, the only the masterpiece can do that. That's true. Are you worried about all these things? You know, I, we all had this conversation about this metrics that they're all different. Are we going to find a universal one you maybe, you know, with the metrics? You know, we were talking about like, Oh, this thing does this, this like the ESPN has their metrics and the net, what's the best catch? Is it TV away? Yeah. I mean, if you're looking at me, like I'm weird, we were having this discussion. I know what you're talking about. Okay. No, I know exactly what you're talking about. I thought you were like prepping for the next show and your brain over there. No, it's just letting you finish. That's something that people like to do. No, no, no, you had the deer in the headlights look like what the well, I was thinking through what you were saying. Like there's a bunch of different entities that that have their own metrics and their own females. Are we going to find a uniformed one? Well, some of them are objective in the sense of like, like when we had the the motion rate, who used it the most. That's that's an objective thing of who used it the most. And when I saw it, it had been the saints, but then Monday night football happens and the and the niners do what they do and things change. So I mean, I think next gen has it pretty awesome. Okay. But yeah, like DVOA, if you're looking at the best way to just do the all encompassing, try and see how good one team is compared to the next one, DVOA is probably the best way to go about that. How do I feel about EPA? Yeah, I'm a huge fan of it. Yeah. I mean, and it also has its flaws as well, but looking what, you know, your EPA offensively and defensively gives you a pretty good gauge on where you compare to the rest of the league. So, and funny enough, after week one, who's the best team in the league based on the EPA stuff, you'd be looking at the Saints of New Orleans. The Buccaneers had the best offensive day, but the best offense and defense combined, you'd be looking at the Saints through week one top three teams. You got the the Chiefs, the Niners, the Lions. Would you make a case the Cowboys are better than Detroit based on what happened last December? No, no, not yet. Can't do that yet. Baltimore Ravens, the week three opponent opponent coming in fourth, they dropped two spots. The Eagles at five. That's impressive what they did. I think nine hours on a plane go beat a pretty darn good team. I would say they deserve where they're at. Speaking of that pretty darn good team, Green Bay is down to 12. Yeah. Would you say the Cowboys are a better team than the Packers right now? Lost their quarter without the quarterback. I mean, I think the Packers, if they played nine times, they'd win the series. Correct. Even though, even with Malik, well, as a quarterback, nine times, no, not with Malik, not with Malik, but they should have beaten the Eagles. They screwed. What about a nine game series with the Cowboys? Packard's Cowboys. I think the Cowboys. Chief. Wow. We have the Jordan love. Yeah, I know what Jordan love. Yeah. If they're playing with six on both sides, I think the Cowboys have a decent chance. And they'd probably end up losing only five games to four areas. Eric Chia follow thanks to Zach Wolchuck, Lucius Alexander and Brian. More radio. After dark is coming up next with Blake, who will be joined by the Chief. And I believe Jared Sandler. Is that right? That is correct. Sprinkle Dingle in there. Rangers pregame is coming up at eight o'clock as they're in Arizona. Back tomorrow after the day game, pregame starts at two will be on about five 30 run till seven o'clock right here. It's the G back nation and the fan. [BLANK_AUDIO]
