Text line is a challenge to me. So what am I wrong about? They said, "Well, Levis, I wasn't wrong about Levis. Levis was better than the number one pick in the NFL draft there. I'm just kidding. I was wrong about Levis. I'll eat that one. I'll eat the L." Although there's still time for him to get better. How's that taste? It tastes like anything. It doesn't taste like anything. It doesn't taste like anything. So I think that I always like to listen to people. You know, I have two ears and one mouth. That's why I think I listen more than I talk. I like to take advice from cowards. I like to take advice from people I've never met. I like to take advice from people whose opinion I do not care about at all. Because I believe in bettermen, blinkers. I believe in seeking ways to improve who you are as a person. Whether it's for yourself. Whether it's for your family. Whether it's for the people that you work with. So blankers. Brian. Coward D says that I'm sassy. That I don't respect your opinions. That when you say thing, I go out of my way to argue. That I argue for the sake of arguing. Which, I don't know if I do that, I'm arguing myself. I do treat everybody this way. I'm sassy to everybody. I'm kind of a jerk to everybody. Not just my whole. You don't treat your life this way. I have a hard time believing that. I can't verify that, but I would guess that's true. I'm pretty consistent with who I am as a person. But I want to get better. I want to get better for you, blankers. I want to get better for you, Brian. Coward D, I even want to get better for you. Lamont has some really good points on Twitter right now. He says the funniest thing about this topic is Joel is not disagreeing. Lamont's right. Your silence, Blakers, is definitely me. I don't need to because I work with you every day. So I know how you are and I know how I deal with it. And it goes. But this isn't something that I brought to the table. This is something that D had on his mind that I didn't even realize got to Twitter. Could D be a Joel Blank plant? Yeah. Yeah. You think about that? I will say the one thing you shouldn't have done. You were texting. You were texting right before the call. Although I know you were texting. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Something totally different. So yeah. I didn't know it made it to Twitter. And the one thing I would say to you is that you put it on Twitch. So therefore that's going to have a life of its own. You wouldn't know I wouldn't. What did I do? Yeah, I wouldn't know. What did I put on Twitch? That you want their suggestions? Because that's- Oh, that'll be rich. They do have time. But you give them some cowards. Yeah. The opinions don't that we don't care about. That's spot on. So how can I be a better partner? I really wanted to. I want to get better from this moment. You know? I think that we can all grow from certain moments that change our life. Like transformative things happen in all of our lives. Right? Like we remember things from childhood that sticks out to us. And we're like, okay, now I learned a lesson there. Do we have a couple of therapy? No, this is more of an intervention, I think. I think it's more of an intervention. How can Branham be a better partner for blankers? I need to book it. I need to book it. How can Branham be better for blankers? Largo Ghost, I'm not reading anything that you say. Please don't. Please don't. I don't see it. Yeah. Oh, this one's actually pretty good. Okay, maybe not. Maybe we won't read that from Largo. Although it was pretty funny. All right, so how can I be a better partner for my partner? 0452 weights, your listeners are chiming in with the same opinion about you and you think they're wrong. The irony. Laughing emoji, laughing emoji, laughing emoji. I don't know if I ever said he was wrong. I said he was a coward. He said he was a coward. You definitely disagree that you were sassy. Yeah, I don't think I did. You cosigned the fact that you were sassy. Yeah, I think I said he was right. 993, the texture softies are confusing, confusing confidence with bullying. Now that's, that's a good point. That's a good counterpoint from 9913. You know, we live in 2024, times are a little softer. Like, would I be considered arguing for the sake of arguing if this was 1994? Even 2004? Or is it a sign of the times? I think there's something there. Or is there a sign of it? There's something. There's something. I think I think. Or is this radio. Probably the last. Yeah. That's the biggest thing. But that's the biggest thing. So yeah, don't let the truth get in the way of a fun segment here. Yeah. I mean, society is a little softer now. I do think being confident and strong in your opinion can be sometimes misconstrued as bullying or arrogant. And I think that's what a lot of the callers and listeners go to. 7922 says stop being sassy, bro. That's tough, man. Like I've been conditioned my entire life to live how I live, to be who I am. Do you tell it? Yeah. I might as well quit. I might as well retire. Um, Tyler and Tonra. I personally hate it when Blakers makes you get under his skin. Well, if I don't know if he's ever actually made it. I don't think I've ever done that. I don't think I've ever made you. Now you maybe, maybe he means like with certain takes where I'm like, I feel like I have to push back. Maybe like that's the, that's the closest thing that could possibly be true. Right? Yeah, that's probably true. Close. And I obviously have a tendency to do that. So yeah, I mean, I've said some stupid things in the past. People have not let me forget about a lot of them, but I've said them. We all have. I mean, when you're talking for 15 hours a week, a 0 9 7 9 is the Chicago win. I have no problem with it. So I think that's because you're from Wisconsin. Oh, there's a rival. I think it's also because I think that's what in Chicago sports talk. They love that. Yeah. They could do it exactly. A little different up north for sure. I never lived up north. A 7527. Can you repeat the question? Yes. How can I be a better partner for Blankers to take the suggestion of Coward D? Coward D brings up some good points. Now, he hung up whenever I try to talk to him a little Coward Lee, but he brings up some good points. So me taking inventory with myself, looking my, I went to the bathroom, I looked myself in the mirror during that last segment after we got off the phone with Lee. Looked very good, by the way, looking very handsome with stuff. Hope at some point you watch my hands and I just stared in the mirror. I got lost in my eyes. I don't remember what I was doing. It was really awkward for the guys from the office across the hall that were at the sink at the same time, but yeah, you're just going to stand there? Can I get the paper towels? They both just wanted to watch their hands and Jeremy was having a conversation with themselves. So, so lost lost in my eyes there a little bit, but I was at the question is, how can I be a better partner for Blankers 71378037776? Let's go out to the HR and Pete listener line. Chris, you're in the hive with the bees. What's up, Chris? Brandon, you know, I'm a big fan of you guys. You know, Joel, a few times he just wanted to just walk out of the studio because anytime he has a point that you disagree with, you make him sound like he doesn't have a point. And Joel's like the heart of the team and you're like the robot of the team. You know what I mean? I mean, Brandon, we listen to you because you know the numbers. You are in a little and Joel's like the heart of the team. He's got the experience, you know, he's played the games, he's been there with the rockets. So, we're just asking that when Joel has a differing opinion that you just be a little softer, that's all we're not saying don't disagree with him, but just give him, you know, like Blankers. I don't know how to do that. You have a point. Absolutely. No, you don't. I don't. I disagree with it. I see. That's hard for me. I really. How can I be softer when I disagree? You know what this validates though? What? You're not soft. No, I'm not soft. Because you have to be soft. I would like to be softer. Like, I think he would help me in a lot of avenues in life. I'm a little rough around the edges. I am very blunt. I am brash. But, Jeremy, can I say one more question? Yeah, how can I be softer in my disagreement? This could help in a lot of different ways. No, I just want to say the listeners know your heart, Jeremy, and that's why you're probably the number one show in this time slot right now, you know, because we know your heart. At three o'clock, I'm listening to the Killer B. We are a family. We are. We want you to be nicer to Joel. That's all. That's it. All right. We love you guys. Fine. How? Brother Chris. He got a quick sound like he was a therapist. How can I be? How can I be softer when I disagree? You've got to make sure that Joel knows you hear his point. I'm going to sound like a couple's therapist. I acknowledge your point. I acknowledge your feeling on this. This is where I'm coming from. This is a church. Hear me. Hear my call or hear my I don't think they say that a church. Yeah, they do. Respectfully. I already screwed up in the Catholic church. It depends on your church. I don't go to Catholic church, but maybe maybe so. Okay. I hear you. I understand what you're saying. I see things differently. And this is how I see it. This is how I think you're an idiot. Is that better? Respectfully. At least you admit that a lot of times when you come at me, you think I'm an idiot. No, I don't think you're an idiot. I think everybody's an idiot. I just you, blinker. So Brandon T, I think everyone needs to stop being so dang soft. Make conversation for radio better. I do agree with that. No one wants to hear. Oh, respectfully, sir. Your opinion is validated. No, you're an idiot. No, you're an idiot. No, you're an idiot. 7137803776. Back out to the HRNP listener line. Lamont. How can I be a better partner for blankers? Hey, let me just say this, man. You all is a grown ass man, you know, being taken. I'm pretty sure that that's why you're having fun with it right now. And I'm not talking about a little soft radio because if you guys just agree on everything, that would be catastrophic for my years right there. And I wouldn't listen to this show, but my problem is in going back to be what he was talking to you about, he didn't say this, but I'm going to say it. It seems forced from your standpoint, Jeremy, it seems like you tried to just, it seems like you just try to be the contrarian of the show. And I don't know if that's some kind of form of aspect of radio or anything like that, but you're trying to go out your way to just disagreeing. And I love the show, me, you guys, I didn't say this about four or five times, man. You were like the top three, three shows in the market, but what I do have to say about Jeremy, not Jeremy, but Joe, back, I didn't know Joe about four or five years ago. And he was doing a show with Barry. And I tried to go at Joe on Twitter a long time ago, but it made you only know basketball, man. You don't know football or baseball or something like that. And I got destroyed, I got completely destroyed, I didn't know his pedigree, I didn't know his resume of how BP went in and sports. And I just wanna say, I never told you on this, but play hands, you to do, you to do, man. You got me, but Jeremy, but Jeremy, man, I like the show, but it seems like you be just trying to force the all contrarian aspect. And I think, I'll probably be on this one, man, but as well as the whole talking and, you know, being nice and all of that now, I don't think y'all need to be nice. I think y'all need to get into it. Good. That's what I needed to hear. What's the part feeling like it's being forced? It's almost like you guys are, it's almost like it's being scripted. That's all I can say. Yeah, not scripted. That's for sure. Certainly not. We have very little things that we put like in our segment like this, the topic at the top or the sentence at the top of any topic for segment is usually about five, six parts. We have three to seven words that are segments of what we're doing. And this segment was, which one is it? The offensive line is poorly coached or Nick Kosterior is a poorly often, a poor offensive line evaluator. So I wouldn't say scripted. Now I do challenge blankers on things that he says. I wouldn't say it's ever forced. Like if he says Martin Maldonado would have blocked that pitch. Okay. What do you mean? Like I will push him on the things that he's saying and I would expect to be pushed to definitely not forced. There's times whenever I'll ask those questions and force and force blankers to kind of go further with it. And then I'll agree with them. And then I'll agree with them. I just want to hear him get a little deeper with what he is saying. But forced is not accurate. Maybe challenge at times, but definitely not forcing it. And though there's many times that I agree, it's just those are boring. Yeah, I agree with the blankers. You don't remember those. As you would remember, no, Davis Mills is washed or done or to a, yeah, or to a, that's what you remember. You don't remember the agreements. Should we like Cowardee in the, in the, in the hive again? It's a team, man. We have rules. We've already already extended the rule. We did build the segment off of him. Yeah. One more chance. Final chance. Well, it may. It's fine, but I think we do need to change his name to the coward B to be relevant with the show. Maybe it's the coward B from now on. Yes, that. And I also think that there has to be some kind of like the debates where we're not going to mute the mic, but you have to let each other talk. Yeah, he did. He didn't let me talk. All right, Cowardee. One more, one more time. This is the last time today. You can call back tomorrow. The last time today. What's up again? Hey, what's up? Oh, no. Yeah, I wouldn't try to scream over you another time to get my point across. But yeah, and I wouldn't call it Cowardee. I just don't want to argue back and forth. You hung up twice. Oh, man. At my point. But yeah, like, man, just like, bro, this is like it's like 50% of it is the delivery of what you say, like, like, like, it's just like the tone of your voice and everything. Like, bro, just disagree. You can agree with the man. Like I told you about it. It's, I understand it's sports radio, but you don't have to be skilled, bad with fish and it's hard, bro. Like, be, be forever. Like, come on. No. What do I say that skip Bayless ish? Like, you're throwing out these huge blanket statements with zero proof. Like, if I had to, if I had to compare you to somebody like in your face, in your media face, it's still bad because of takes or because I argue because of my takes. No, it's not, not even your takes is just the way I told you, like, no, you know your stuff. You know your sports. Like, I can't argue with the, with you on that. Are we getting up on D now? He said something nice. He said something nice. He's saying, I guess he's talking about, like, the debate going. I can't do Shannon Sharp, by the way, because I'm going to, I'm going to, like, you just said, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're ridiculous. In this climate, I cannot do it because then I will get, I will get all the best canceled. I have got it. Seriously. When I do the imitation. Yes. What was, what did Howard Stern say? If they love you, they'll listen to you for 15 minutes. I think that was a rush Limbaugh thing. Yeah. The people, the people who hate you will listen for twice as long as the people who love you. Cowardee's called in every one of our segments. I call it three times and other and the rest of them are just on Twitch 24/7. Yeah. 644. You have to actively listen. That's what my wife tells me. You do have to actively listen. That is important. You have two ears and one mouth. What people? Why surprise people? I'm not, I'm not a very big talker. Like outside of the show. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not very, I like to listen. I like to observe. I like to be the fly on the wall. You prefer text. I, I do. I'm not a big, I'm not a big talker. I do this kind of like sports not because I like to talk at 9, 9, 1, 3, I don't tune in to hear two guys agree, I think there's some truth there. Like he says, JB can be a better partner by bringing blankers, J bar and barbecue every day. J bar M comes all the time before we do. Yeah, Joe schedules that so it doesn't get to us 0 5 6 9, quit being so cocky and think you know it all. He actually said, thank you know it all, but I won't point out that typo 9 5 1 3, it is National Boyfriend Day, Jeremy, two syllables. It's National Boyfriend Day. I did not know that. I'm glad. No idea. I'm glad. I didn't either. James before the show 3 7 2 6, best way to be a partner or Joel is to stay stay on the road during play by play for you of age. I guess he says, don't get don't do the show. Problems you think you know it all, Jeremy, Jeremy, the year the Stefan digs of the team. That's pertinent. I see. 9 6 4 8, Joel is soft. He called me a tuck head a couple of years back. Do you remember that? I don't. One zero zero. That's shocking. I don't I don't remember that. And was it legitimately a tuck head because that maybe because I was anti tucker and they were pro tucker or was it Justin Tucker? I think it was cow tucker related one zero three one, Brandon. I think people assume you're soft because of the killer bees graphic where it looks like you're wearing lipstick. They need to get a better picture of you. My guy loved the show. I get my my lips get chapped that time of year, Brandon T. I think everyone needs to stop being so dang soft, makes conversation for you better. What is this Oprah Tyler and Conroe? I think D coward thinks you're pretentious without having the vocabulary to articulate that. Okay. That's three. Branham has a lot of hot takes throughout rages sometimes. It's like he's trying out for a national show. I wouldn't want to do this nationally. I'm a local guy. Branham has the ultimate radio voice in my opinion, Branham gripes just a gripe at times offer to cook your partner a steak. I wouldn't do that because I have a natural respect for meat. And then one three six eight. Okay, you win. Now it's a chat sports. All right. Could have said about it myself. Let's get to Adam rotus the host of fantasy life with all your hot pressing angles of how you're going to win your fantasy football game this week. This is the bees on ESPN 97 five and ESPN at a two five listening to ESPN 97 five we're taking a break. Okay. That's cool. You're locked in with a killer bees on ESPN 97 five and 92 five life in the Veritex community bank studios. Here's Joel Blanken, Jeremy Branham, let's go straight out to the HR and be guest line being joined by Adam Ronis, host of the fantasy life on Sirius XM fantasy also killing it on the dub club. Sorry to come to you a little bit late, Adam. I was soliciting advice from our listeners on how to be a better partner to my co-host, but you got a lot of great ideas. I think it was very helpful. I think it was very beneficial, but it's not as good as having you on the program. I want to start with Mark Andrews, Adam, and I know we brought up tight end and elite tight end and how they haven't been playing like elite tight ends. How can I justify a starting Mark Andrews and then be even rostering Mark Andrews right now? Yeah, I don't have any good answers for you at this point. He's not even getting targeted. He's not even on the field a lot running a lot of route and it's been brutal. So you can't start him at this point. I always say, well, if you're going to drop him from the roster, what is the replacement because that's always the big factor who you're going to get because we're all searching for options that tighten off the waiver wire, and there's just not many of them. But at this point, until you see him actually have a good game, it's really difficult to put him in your lineup. They keep coming up with different excuses and I know we have the car action right before the season. They haven't really mentioned any of that, but yeah, it is absolutely brutal right now from Mark Andrews. So I can't justify starting him at this point. Adam, how do you handle Ramondre Stevenson in New England? He's got a little bit of a fumble issue. You know, there's a whole conversation back and forth that he might play, he might not play. That's got to be a huge problem this week. It is. And of course, it's one of the better matchups that he had in recent weeks, which makes it all the more complicated because they signed this guy to a contract in the off-season and he'd had some of these issues in the past and he's fumbled in each game. He's lost a fumble in each of the last two games. I was surprised that Mayo was so critical openly to the media. I know he was asked the question, but to me, this is something that you handle behind the scenes or you come out and you say, we have confidence in our guy. He clearly knows he has a fumbling issue. You think he wants to lose the ball every single week. So and it's funny because if you look at Antonio Gibson, he has had a history of fumbling issues and that's the potential replacement. So the issue with Stevenson, so I have him in two leagues, one of them, I think I have to play him just because I don't have better options. You have to keep in mind this is the first week of bi-week. So we have four teams on by, so that's taking running back out of the player pool and we have a lot of injuries. We have a lot of guys who haven't practiced Wednesday and Thursday, we don't know if they're going to go. So there might be some scenarios where you might not have a better option, but you clearly have trepidation because when a coach comes out and states that publicly, what happens if he loses a fumble in the first court? We may not receive them again. Adam Roan is joining us here on the Killer B's, Adam. I thought the wide receiver issue in Miami without two couldn't get any worse and then we saw what happened during Monday night football this last week with Tyler Huttonly just absolutely not being able to get any production for Tyree Killer and Jalen Wattle. How far down the list do you move those guys? What level wide receiver are you now willing to start instead of Tyreek or Jalen Wattle? Is this week's waiver wire pickup star, the Tavian Wicks, someone you would start over either Wattle or Tyree Kill? Well, all the wattle easily, wattle is way down the list. I think Tyree Kills is more right around wide receiver 25 and if you said, "Hey, I want to start Wicks over." I had no problem. The Rams are 31st and past the VOA. It's a great matchup and Jordan Love looks a little shaky in the first half but rebounds into the second half. Jalen Wattle way further down and look, Tyler Huttonly was put in a tough spot. He's barely been there. It's about two weeks. It's not an offense that he was able to grasp really quickly but you saw some of those throws, just simple throws to get the ball in the answers for way off target. So, kind of unfair to him to do it immediately and the Patriots defense at times this year has been pretty solid. So, yeah, look, the good news is we heard that to a could return a week eight but that means you still have a few more weeks to go where you're trying to get five, yeah, Tyreekill and Jalen Wattle. But wattle to the bench, Tyreekill is tougher to bench him and I know you look elastic and go, "Well, it could be easy but maybe they figure it out." They did hand-off the ball to him a couple of times. He wasn't able to break big yardage but they have to figure out a way to get the ball in these guys hands. I mean, come on, man. We've seen backup quarterbacks come in. I mean, everyone was criticizing the league will if they found a figure it figured out a way to get it done. Miami has to do the same now. What about this chief situation with their targets? Rushy Rice out for a period of time. Like, we're still unsure if it's season ending, although he was placed on the IR today so he's out for at least four weeks. Kelsey looks old. Is there anybody worth picking up the running back situation? You've had the injuries with Pacheco, Clyde Edwards, Allaire, they activated his window. Which Mahomes targets are you comfortable starting? Kelsey for sure. He had a better game last week and maybe it was because he did so much in the off season. Maybe he wasn't in the best football shape to start here but we did see him have a big game last week and you mentioned how bad it is, or so Kelsey clearly gets an upgrade. Xavier Worthy should be more involved. He had that long touchdown pass but it's not going to be heavy volume. This is just not a good situation. Patrick Mahomes has not been a great fantasy quarterback. Going back to last year, I thought it would change this year only because of Rushy Rice, Hollywood Brown, Xavier Worthy, all these deep threats but Rice is out, Brown is out, and Worthy is a rookie. To learn, we saw Rushy Rice and took him some time last year and he was not great in the first half. Deep release, I picked up Justin Watson, I don't feel good about it but when you have 20 roster spots and you have five weeks, you're desperate. I know Juju Swiss user is familiar with this offense and he's been there but they're going to spread the ball around and it's just, it's not the same offense. They're doing basically what we saw last year. They're winning these close games. If you look at Patrick Mahomes and his pass attempts, 28, 25, 39, 29, they're just playing these tight close games, they're not forced to put up a lot of points, relying on the defense again. Even the running back situation, Cream Hunt looked the best last week and that's after Carson Steele lost the fumble early in the first quarter and then they basically went away from him. Clyde Edwards, O'Lare, could be back, Matt complicates matters further and we did see P-R-I and get a goal line carry and score touched on last week so yeah, it's pretty much a match here in Kansas City. The only guys that you could feel good about starting right now are Travis Kelsey and Xavier Worthy. Adam, we know that the Jets situation probably hit its peak worst last week. You've got Wilson, you've got Breeze Hall, you've got guys that. A lot of people have and they're planning on getting a lot of production out of, it was bad, the weather was bad and now they're going across the pond and the Jets say they're figuring it out. How do you look at that situation? Yeah, I think you have to have patience and these guys, Breeze Hall had at least 18 points in P-P-R formats the first three weeks, so he was getting it done, he had a bad game. Yeah, Braylon Allen looks really good and maybe cuts into him just a little bit, but I think you have to keep the faith in him, Garrett Wilson has faced some really tough quarterbacks so far, including Patrick Sertan, and so look now, Denver is a really good defense. They are shutting teams down, so that's the defense that was available in a lot of waiver wires and I picked up this week. They've really been suffocating, it's not allowing anyone to get anything. We all talk about how good the Buccaneers defense, remember week three, Denver went into Tampa Bay and held them to seven points when he's 26-7, they only got 13 of the Steelers, so the Denver defense is better than a lot of people think, but the Jets should get better. I mean, the Garrett Wilson thing, it's just a comment and the disconnect with Aaron Rodgers is slightly concerning. Of course, the potential of Devonte Adams lining there, but I think the Garrett Wilson use, you're going to continue to run him out there, you'll hope that he gets better. Same with Breeze Hall, I just think it was just a bad game, you mentioned the weather, a tough defense, and I think it will get better for the Jets going forward. Adam Rohn is joining us here in the Killer B's, Adam, you mentioned Devonte Adams in that potential trade, we know it seems like he's not going to play this week. I would expect that to mean a bump up in targets for obviously Brock Bowers, who else do you think that benefits? Would a guy like Jacobi Myers or Trey Tucker be someone you would look to make a move for or pick up free agency if they happen to be available? Yeah, I think Trey Tucker and he perform at Jacobi Myers was drafted in most weeks. They'll both see an uptick. I expect Brock Bowers. I thought he would have a better game last week, who was disappointing, so clearly he's one of the top side ends. But again, they're going against Denver, this is not going to be an easy match of these defenses, they're really good, but someone has to catch a football there, so those would be the three guys. Tucker has some speed, and he might have a long term value there, that's why I picked him up two weeks ago because in case Adam does get delted, right now the way it looks, he's going to get delted. It's just a matter of when and where, so Tucker could have some long term value the rest of the year. Adam Roan is joining us on the HRNP guest line, you've been killing it with the dumb club again. Last, last check, you're up eight, nine units on the NFL already? Yeah, twenty and nine star eight and a half units last week was five and one. And only there was something in your head to control the things you say it's the dumbest argument ever with the killer bees. Can I just say that I'm an idiot for listening to you? What are the worst takes of the week seven, one, three, seven, eight, zero ESPN HRMP listener line worst takes of the week seven, one, three, seven, eight, zero, three, seven, seven, six, respectfully, Twitch blankers put you on there for your defensive marching model earlier. Respectfully. Um hmm. Twitch did, huh? They did. Yeah, I wouldn't know. Thanks. They voted John there for your defensive multi two boys, which you did say that he would only block that pitch. I did say he'd block that pitch. I did. You just made the last better than yiner, better than yiner, respectfully come at me. Nick Wright. I don't even know the name of the show anymore. I don't watch those shows. Do you know the name of the show? I don't know. They changed all the way. I don't know. Speak for yourself. Is that one of them? That sounds right. I have no clue because they. I'm not sure. I named a Fox show. I don't know if it's the right Fox show. I think that might be right. Is it? I want to say it's actually might be his old. Okay. I knew that was the Fox show. I wasn't sure there was next. But anyways, Nick Wright, FS1. He's going viral this week because he compared CJ Sprout dude. Who? So you see these numbers because he's supposed to be an MVP. He's been, I think we can show you CJ numbers. It's a blind reveal, but it's one of them is CJ. I don't know if you can tell that in between those two players. To me, it's about identical. Is that Gino? No, it's not Gino, bro. Was Gino nothing to be ashamed of? It's worse than Gino. Wild is going to like it. Look, please. That's CJ Sprout. That's Gardner Minsch. He's good. And so listen, facts are the facts. He compared CJ Sprout to Gardner Minschoo. Tell me that you don't watch the games without telling me you don't watch the games. It's amazing. This guy is where he is from where he was when he was in this market, man. Well, the accuracy of the take does not matter. We all know that, but you're not paying me right. That's right. No, you're not paying me right. No, I know. But then a weather man, it's about entertainment and being. You know what this strikes me as? We all know who we're. Sassy. Sassy, yes. Like sassy. Beyond sassy, though. We all know Nick Wright is a cheese fan. And who is the quarterback that everyone kept saying off season was the guy that could be the one that had thrown Mahomes. It was CJ Sprout. So I think this is Nick Wright being annoyed by all the CJ Sprout this, CJ Sprout that all off season. He's going to be the guy to the thrown Mahomes. And now he's taken shots because he's been annoyed by that conversation all off season. He compared CJ Sprout to Gardner Mench. That's so distant. He's looking at line scores. You made the list, Nick Wright. You just made the list. I don't. I don't love. Like people say I'm a numbers guy. I'm really not. I like numbers in baseball. I don't think numbers matter in football and I don't think numbers matter in basketball. Maybe like the team stats. Like what is your team offense? What is your total defense? Right. But when you're comparing quarterback number versus quarterback number. Do not care. Like do I care that CJ Stratus four touchdowns and two picks and Gardner Mench who's three to three and their yards are relatively the same? No. Which of those two guys are you going to take? Shrout. Their numbers are pretty much irrelevant. And watch them play the game and watch the skill sets and watch the way they throw the football and do they get W's and how do the W translate means so much more than from game to game. Who are you playing? What guys do you have to go to this week? He annoys me. Oh, he's a that was a tough one there. Pete is our guy. I get that astro fans feel like the, you know, there's a national bias against the Astros. They never pay attention to the Astros and they hate the Astros. Pete Dizzle though is on the edge of a seat the other day when Foxport sent out their graphic of all the teams in the playoffs and he's like, where's the Astro? Why don't the Astros have any representation on this graphic? It's literally Jose Altuvet right there, Pete is literally right there, maybe see the because Jose Altuvet is so short, he was standing behind the tower. They kind of did it by a seats too. So it's like you see the, but then they started saying, well, that's not him. It clearly is him. It's at least someone in the Houston Astros jersey. So there's, there is at least a Houston Astros on the graphic, but you're right. There is a section and I would say Astros fans more than the other two major teams in this town are like this, you want to say Rockets fans are first? No, you hit someone way behind me. Okay. But it feels like they're Astros fans. It's probably because obviously the scandal from 2017 and everyone trying to come to the defensive team, but it feels like they're so quick to rush to national biased conversation about any list or conversation that comes out that doesn't include or put the Astros in a favorable light. Yeah. Yeah. So Peter's a little hate to do it to you, man, but you made the list. You just made the list. He's not his first time a damn. Please. He actually has his top 25 starting pitchers, his end of regular season top 25. It did not include Hunter Brown, it included Renelle Blanco, but did not, did not include Hunter Brown. How's Hunter Brown not on this list? He's one of the best 25 pitchers in baseball. I would say. Well, maybe. Yeah, certainly second half of the season. Yeah. So Dan, please act. You make the list. You just made the list. They're still for head coach of university of Alabama, Birmingham, U A B. You know who U A B does not like they don't like Alabama. They don't like Alabama. Alabama is kind of their daddy. They don't really like their daddy. So Trent Dilfer, you know, his head coach at U A B. He was at his press conference. Its kids were there. He wanted his kids to come up and sit with them. And he's said something that is pretty unforgivable if you're a U A B fan with a game like this with a team like this, that would Navy when you get off to think of it's like two of them. It's not like this is freaking Alabama. Let's go. Come on, bud. You can come up here. There you go. He compares to Alabama said this is not Alabama saying like, look, no one cares about us. We're not Alabama. They're saying that as you're wearing the U A B shirt, whenever you have a fan base of U A B fans who hate Alabama, oh good. Not good. And then he got crushed because he brought his son up on the podium. That was what you heard at the end. Yeah, I didn't mind his son being out there. I don't think there should be a. No, it's just making yourself look small time out in the eyes of your fan base. Oh, it doesn't matter because we're in nothing school. So sure. Bring the kid up here. That's not a good look. Not a good look. So Trent Dilfer, you made the list. You just made the last. I actually thought he was still coaching high school. No, he's a U A B. They're actually he actually doing a pretty good job. I don't keep up with the lower level football anymore. I'm way above that. Always that. Your cup says otherwise. Yeah. I think he's been there for a couple of years. I think they're pretty good. I think they're doing pretty good. U A B blazer football. Okay. Yeah, I think he's having a decent year. Good for him. Let's see. What's that record? Walked away from TV. Nevermind. They're one and three. Oh, he's five. Jeremy Branham. You just made the list. I'll wear that one. See, I do admit when I'm wrong. I'm 11 in his second season now at U A B. So no, no, he's not doing well. And now he's taking off the alums. What do you say? I'm going to put that one time. You cannot lose games in the NFL and when that's that's the problem he's having to call trouble. Do you really say that? Yeah, he did. There's a famous clip. You cannot lose games in the NFL and when well probably he's losing games to college football and not winning. He's right. He's right. He's right. And then Keith, Keith who always calls in and asks about old football players and weird stuff. He makes the list too. He was talking on Twitter to me about the A.O. wildcard roster and he said, Cesar Salazar, no shot. He makes the team and respect Justin Verlander. Was Justin Verlander on the roster? No, sir. Was Cesar Salazar on the roster? Yes. Keith. You just made the list. There you go. Keith, he made the list. Devontae Adams once outs where is he going? I think we all know the answer to that, but from a Texans perspective, where do we want him to go? It's the B, seven, eight, zero, three, seven, seven, six. You're locked in with a killer bees on ESPN 97-5 and 92-5, live from the Veritex community bank studios. Here's Joel Blank and Jeremy Branham. It looks like Davante Adams is going to get traded. He's not playing this week for the reasons because he doesn't want to play there anymore. Looks like they're going to trade. Antonio Pierce is liking things on Instagram, saying that Davante Adams doesn't want to be there and stuff like that, which is really weird behavior for a head coach, by the way. Isn't that really weird behavior by head coach? I found that. Really, really rare. I saw that. I see that from players all the time. Coaches on social media, like passive aggressively liking tweets and social media posts, IG posts about the player not wanting to be there. That's pretty childish. It's immature and it shows an experience at being in your job. And I think that that's something that when he was riding the wave and everybody in the locker room seemed to be behind him and everything like that, it seemed like the logical call. But you had to take this stuff into consideration. Also some stuff he didn't call it. Yeah, he was like an eight year show cause for like what he was doing during the recovery. COVID times. I don't know if that should impact his status with the Raiders. If I'm, if I'm Mark Davis's son or Al Davis's son, Mark Davis, I'm not, I don't really care what he did at Arizona State. Like it's a bad look for him probably to get rehired somebody somewhere else. But if he was winning games and winning the AFC West and going to the playoffs, I don't really care what he did at Arizona State. But if you're going to lose games, your stars are kind of quitting on the team. Monte Adams, I saw some, some thought that, that Max Crosby is kind of losing faith in Antonio Pierce too. I wonder if he's on the hot seat and be in a chance to be a one and done. Yeah. I was questioning at the time cause he seemed like this, you know, this massive motivator, this, this guy that's raw, raw tough guy that's been there, done that as a player that got the locker room behind him. And look, it fueled him at the end of the season last year when they were pretty low. But at the same time, I was questioning him as the full time guy because of his lack of experience and because of the fact that, you know, he's done some things that regardless of what, because the NCAA, we all know their rules are pretty jacked up, but he blatantly just threw it all out the window to do whatever he felt like to figure out, like, is he going to be a stable head coach with everything that you need? I don't know how long the deal is. I don't remember how long the deal is, but I got to believe if they keep losing like this and now the players that went to his defense like Crosby and Adams end up be the guys that start saying no, that Davis is not a guy that's going to stick with especially since we, I mean, the feeling coming out of Las Vegas last year is the only reason he was made the full time coach is because the players basically made it know we're going to mute me. If you don't hire Antonio Pierce as a coach, we love him. He's the one that led us to this resurgence over the second half and how quickly he lost that locker room. So yeah, if the players are out on him, I don't see any reason why the rate of the players would stick with them if they have a losing season. I think there's a real good chance he's all he's a one and done. It never really honestly, I mean, there was a big, the two big reasons I think that Mark Davis hired him was one. He was happy with the way he finished the season, but then secondly, who is that interim coach that they didn't hire and then they went with McDaniel's and it turned out to be a disaster. He was special teams, coach. Yeah. Yeah. He's green based special teams. Like coach now. I think it's like a Brock Amontay. It is like that. No, it's not. The pitch is the boy. I know. It's like that. Why can't I think of it? Yeah. It's like that weird name. I'll look it up. Go ahead. Keep going. But that's, I think that's another reason they hired him. Just like, oh, we kind of regret that we didn't, uh, Bizakaya, Rich, Rich Basachia, Rich Basachia. Rich Basachia. I think that was part of the reason. It was like, uh, we probably felt like we should have kept him instead of McDaniel's. It didn't work. So let's keep the intro on this time that finished the season hot and it's like, oh, maybe we shouldn't have done that. I think there's a legit shot. He's one and done. But as it pertains to Devontae Adams, like he from L.A.s, he's texting the show saying the Rams need a receiver fingers crossed. He's not going to be a Ram. Where do you want him to go from a Texans perspective? Because I think the Jets are the heavy favor. Like many people already think that it's a foregone conclusion that he's going to be a New York jet. Yeah. I think when I look at it, uh, I'd like to see him go to a place like the Saints. I don't care if he go, I care and I don't. The Jets haven't shown me enough and Rogers hasn't shown me that he's anywhere close to what he used to be. And they've got so much turmoil there that yeah, I'd like to keep him out of the AFC just for the sake of one less team that might be a little better that you might have to worry about at some point down the road because you play him on your schedule this year. But overall, if you send him to the NFC, if you send him to a team like Dallas, who's desperate, who were in go for it mode and then didn't go for it with anything other than resigning their own, could they use another weapon? Sure. Uh, New Orleans, because he would be reunited yet again with his college quarterback and maybe that car is the guy that, you know, he, he's gone to the management and wants him there too. If you send him to the NFC, it's the best thing for the Texans. Yeah, I wouldn't mind if he goes to the Jets. I don't think the Jets are a serious contender to the AFC. Could they be as good as the Texans? Sure. They can be as good as the Texans, but I, I don't view the Jets as the representative of the AFC to the Super Bowl, even with Devontae Adams. Uh, I feel like they're kind of limited offensively, whether it's because Rogers is old, whether it's because Nathaniel Hackett's their head coach, like it would seem that, oh, here they go. You got Garrett Wilson. You got Devontae Adams. You got Breece Hall. Uh, you have a, a young rookie running back in Braylon Allen. That's getting more confidence by the week and they have more confidence in him. I just don't view them as an AFC threat. No, I, I, at the start of the year, I picked them to win the division. At the start of the year, I knew that they had a lot of talent on defense. They had a lot of weapons on offense. They improved their offensive line and I thought they were going to be a lot better than they've been. And they still write the ship. Sure. Rogers has done a lot of Rogers-esque things, you know, with the, you know, the, everything outside of quarterbacking and quarterbacking has been very good. And that's what I wanted to see. So I have a lesser opinion as I, of them as, than I did at the start of the year, but I do think they're very talented and they got a lot of talent on defense and that they still can work things out. So I'd prefer he not go to a team like that, but, you know, ideally at the end of the day, do I think the Jets with Devontae Adams is a team that could compete for the AFC? No. Hello. That's where I don't want them to go. The latest one today is that he would entertain the idea of the Jets. I was just going to throw it out there. I was like, the one team that I desperately don't want them to go to is the bills. He can play in cold weather. He's handled it before. They don't have a premier expensive wide receiver one though. He just got rid of someone that in their mind was, it was a diva. That was my thought. But like, but I don't think he's the kind of diva outspoken we've been there multiple times. Devontae Adams is not likes to find digs in terms of always outspoken and pointing out doing on the sidelines, doing those kinds of things has been with the Raiders. Not really. I think more of it was behind the scenes, not on game day. Yeah. I was just saying this is not the first season with the Raiders where he's where it's come out that he's making noise behind the scenes. He's been unhappy for sure, but I don't think he's like demonstrative on the field. I've never seen that with Devontae now making noise behind the scenes. Absolutely. I would say that he's only done with one team though. He's only done it with a couple of quarterbacks that he really never wanted to play with. Like he did with Gardner. He's doing it with Gardner mentioned this year. He did it with Garoppolo last year and O'Connell a little bit as well. And the whole reason he went to Vegas, sure the money, but Derek Carr, like Derek Carr. So he didn't, he got put in a spot where he was playing with a quarterback that he didn't want to play with. And I think that's why he got noisy. I don't think he would be an issue in Buffalo. I don't think he'd be an issue with the Jets. Now the angle that I thought it was kind of ironic in Buffalo was like they're talking about how they can spread the ball around and pass it to everybody. So happy that they have selfless receivers. So happy that Diggs is gone paying $31 million to let Diggs go somewhere else to trade Diggs somewhere else. That's the dead cat that they took for Stefan Diggs. They're talking about, oh, it's so great to basically have a receiver room that's faceless. And then you're going to bring out, you're going to bring in Devontae Adams a month and a half into the season. Like that tells me that everything you just said about that was untrue, untrue. Like if you're bringing in Devontae Adams, everything you'd said about having a selfless receiver room is a lie and it lends a little bit more to the fact that they were pointing fingers. Yeah, the fun digs for sure. And Brian, you know what, in the sake of fairness, you are right in Green Bay that I do remember that again, he didn't do it demonstratively, but when the Roger situation was unfolding and everything like that, he went to Green Bay and said, I got a problem with all of this and basically wanted his way out of Green Bay before they could even try to resign him. So there is something to that. Yeah. I don't think he really fits there. I think it'd be interesting for a guy like Jane and Daniels and, you know, obviously Terry McClurence had a resurgence now under arguably the best quarterback he's ever had. I actually might be in arguably, but adding a second wide receiver to that. So teams can adjust and just double and triple Terry McClure and I think when I walk another level from them, Devontae in a college offense. I don't know. I'm saying that tongue and cheek. All right. Which one is it? The offensive line is poorly coached or Nick Cocario is a poor offensive line evaluator 713-780-3776. It is the B's on ESPN 97-5 and ESPN 92-5. Yes. Yes. Yeah. 97-5.
