Welcome to the three stories version of the Todd Herman show. Hey, flood victims. FEMA is very busy relocating illegal immigrants and a general with the Army Corps of Engineers is super busy doing some other stuff. Oh, wait, that's later in the show. A pastor got himself arrested because he defended a girl who was forced to read pornographic content in school. She didn't want to. They made her. And yeah, the Army Corps of Engineers, this boss is the tenant general just recorded a campaign ad for Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris, I'll never get it right. Talk about these things with the help of our YouTube channel, youtube.com/at the Todd Herman show and with God almighty. Today is the day the Lord has made. These are the times which God has decided we should live. Three stories in a greater story. Let's start with the greater story. It's fascinating how we live in a time of performative politics. This is a phrase. My friend Chris Bray invented performative politics. The performance is the thing. It's more important to act like you're doing the thing than to actually do the thing. And that enables us to see, for instance, as Bray just pointed out in a piece I was reading this morning, that as the federal government's budget explodes, explodes. It's capabilities shrink. So you have FEMA acting like there's still the federal emergency management agency, even as their capabilities are shrinking. Grace Homeland's security secretary Alejandro Mayorkas just said, we're out of money. FEMA ain't got no cash. But we are paying for the retirement of Ukrainian bureaucrats. We have money for that. We have money to hand $2,200 a month to illegal immigrants coming into our country and often 10 grand just to come here. We have money to relocate them to fly them from states like California where there are enough illegal immigrants. It's already one party state into the state of Texas that they're desperately trying to flip using every means possible. So they're acting like they're doing the thing and there is some relief praise God getting to the flood victims. But not as much as there should be. All of this is into a even more grand narrative. The great, great swindle of DEI as equity. Man, this is brilliant. Satan is clever and scheming. This is so brilliant. Here we are. All of us many. Well, I should say 99% of us in conservative Christian media saying DEI is it's part of the color revolution, the culture revolution. True. True. But man, it's also great for business. I was curious why so many businesses folded and gave into this. I mean, it's so obviously upside down in America. But I think the answer is pretty clear and it goes to that old phrase of follow the money because the love of money is the root of many kinds of evil, as it says in the Bible. We all need money, particularly if you ever want to retire, you're going to need some cash. So I'll ask this question. How do you refine how do you define a successful retirement? What does that mean to you? To my friend Zach Abraham, chief investor officer borrowed a cup of management, it means knowing exactly how much money you're going to have every month for the rest of your life in retirement. Now, with the current events we're witnessing, and rumors of wars, as it says in the Bible, we see a removal of rules from corporate America insider trading. Once again, not just legal in Congress, but laughed about your retirement account was not created for a time like this or time such as these, this is says in the book of Esther, it was created for a time where there were rules and not big risks like this. So times have changed. Here's something you can do to make sure that you're still on track for retirement. Take Zach up on his free offer. Get on a video call with you, a phone call with you and your spouse or just you, and he'll look at all your investments, and he will tell you if it's set up for risk management, and if it's being actively managed, which can actually reduce risk and volatility. He'll do that and then tell you, are you set up for retirement or do you need help? He just told my friend's father, he's all set, doesn't need their help. All this is free. No obligation. Just go to know your risk radio.com. That's K-N-O-W. Know your risk radio.com or call them at 866-779-RIS. Never look at their hand with the rabbit in it. What's the other hand doing? The other hand in DEI was saying to companies, listen, trust the plan. Back us with this DEI. Help us, the Democrat party, get a whole bunch of new voters. Help us make the case that we're the only ones who care about the BIPOCs such ridiculously dismissive phrase for human beings. Let us invent an entire new so-called sub-race of human beings, completely dependent upon medicine, you might say, for their existence. Help us do that, and we're going to help you lower employment costs like you have never imagined. We're going to use DEI to flood cities with new immigrants. Many of them here in a slightly legal, only through Dictat process flown over the border, Custom Border Patrol Lab. We're going to let them do that. This is what they're saying to the employers, and we're going to take key cities like this, and we're going to give you employees that cost you 60% of what Americans would get, and you're not going to have to move your factories. You can do that here. We'll bring Haiti here, 5% of Haiti's population here. So when you see Kamala Harris speaking about storm relief and speaking about how FEMA would work on an equitable basis, keep in mind what the Uber goal is. It is our lowest-income communities, and our communities of color, that are most impacted by these extreme conditions, and impacted by issues that are not of their own making. Absolutely. And so we have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place, and if we want people to be in an equal place, sometimes we have to take into account those disparities, and do that work. You're talking here about people who have been flooded out of their homes, and people who have seen their loved ones drowned. There were people who watched their loved ones on rooftops. They weren't rescued. FEMA was busy doing some other things we'll talk about, and they had to watch them float away and drown. I'm sure they're comforted, though, that any same-sex-attracted person in North Carolina, South Carolina, states so hit by this, that they got help first. That's not just cold. Well, it's ungodly. To take one human being above another and say, "We'll rescue you first because equity." But when you are working with a grand narrative, all the pieces have to fit together. And when the grand narrative is, we are doing this all for compassion and all for good. When the behind-the-scenes reality is, there's a whole bunch of money-changing hands. You see things like this. America First Legal looked into what the people who run Joe Biden have done to the federal emergency management system, emergency management system. And they've taken things like food, emergency food, and shelter programs, and they've included paragraphs like this. This is straight from their website. The program may also receive funding to award to the National Board for distribution to local social service organizations that provide humanitarian relief to families and individuals encountered by the Department of Homeland Security. Oh, you know, that means people at airports. And by the Department of Homeland Security, it doesn't. It means illegal immigrants. This is a distraction from the core mission of FEMA. But remember, it's more important that they act like they're doing the thing than actually doing the thing. Because what they're really doing is supporting the great big money shift of the newcomers. We can't hate them. We're to love them. They are in fact, our neighbors. We can hate what they're doing to America. So they looked into the money. And you see programs like $1 billion, FEMA gave to cities and organizations within cities to relocate illegal immigrants, 38 million to New York, 21 million to Pima County, Arizona. There's a separate thing that's been set up. $685 million in that emergency food and shelter program, this going to illegal immigrants, all of it wrapped up in equity. I'm sure this makes the people who are flood victims feel really, really solid. We wouldn't want this to be an unfair approach. The doing of the thing versus the appearing to do the thing sometimes happens by way of authorities simply pan it at a moment of great, great stress. And maybe that's the case here. A gentleman who knows exactly what he's doing flying helicopter relief was helping people using his helicopter. He and his son were helping people when a local authority became disturbed by these activities. The cries were helped from people stranded without food, water or electricity hit social media soon after the flooding last Friday. My parents are stuck here. They're addresses. Vayner out. They are in the first condo. If you received this, please give me a call back. Thank you. Jim's phone started lighting up on Saturday with people begging for help. I can hear the desperation in her voice. This is multiple phone calls I've received like this voice mail, text messages and you can hear people desperate for help. Sit him in his son rescued four people on Saturday and spent the night in a nearby pilot's lounge. Then decided to fly again Sunday morning. I spoke with my son, which is my co-pilot. I said, "Hey, do you want to go back out and try to help today?" And his response was, "There's so many messages I don't think we can't not go help." Sit him in his son were headed up to Black Mountain. Flight tracking shows no flight restrictions in place Saturday or Sunday morning when Sit him flew through the Lake Laura Gap. But that was all about to change. The Sit him spotted an older couple waiting for help. Then landed in what's left of their driveway. I originally left my son co-pilot on the side of the mountain. It was kind of unstable, so I didn't want to put more weight in the helicopter to lift back off. So I left my son with the other victim and I was just going to take one person down at the time and you can hear me in the video talking through with the victims and with my son what we're going to do. Three minutes away, Sit him spotted a group of rescuers just down the river. He landed and found someone in charge. Told him my background experience, law enforcement, firefighting, pilot. He immediately started helping with coordination. He gave me radio frequencies to coordinate with them on, set up a landing area for me to come back with the other victim and in the middle of the whole conversation and then blocking the road off I was greeted by the, at that time I didn't know, but Lake Lou were fire chief or assistant chief maybe and he shut down the whole operation. So at that point I felt like the conversation wasn't going any further and again he asked me to leave and I said hey I have no problem getting out of your area. If that's what you want us to do we'll leave no issue. Sit him in his nearly 1400 flight hours, turned his chopper around and headed back to South Carolina passing people waving for help along the way. As I was actually leaving to go back to get my son the original chief or catman that I spoke to his crew and himself they came back over and said hey man we can't tell you to go get the victim we can't even ask you to go get the victim but we can tell you if you come back with the victim we'll have you a designated landing spot and they won't make sure they don't come over here. So there was no flight restriction when you went in? No, no flight restriction when I went in it went in place 20 or 30 minutes after the confrontation with Mr. ****. You feel like that was coincidental or do you think that that was because of what happened? I don't think it can be coincidental when there has not been one in place the day before doing rescue operations the night of the morning of that took place after our altercation. I think there would have never been a TFR put in place had we not had that conversation. If I had to do it over again I would have stopped and I would have rescued as many people and until they decided they were going to arrest me. Praise God for men like this. Sometimes authorities, authority, so they can be authorities. No, just think through that. Sometimes authorities, authorities, so they can be authorities. Sometimes bosses boss so they can be bosses. Sometimes the human instinct to be in charge rather than looking at the distributed gifts that God gave us. There's that trite phrase from Sunday school. We are the hands and feet of Jesus where we are. That man was given a gift, a gift that someone else for the sake of whatever. I think it's authority for the act of authoritatively, authoritating, decided to stop. It's a sin issue, it's one that some people suffer from and it's so funny that they find the way up in the governance where pretending to do the thing has suddenly become more important than doing the thing. Number two, there's a pastor whose name is very difficult to pronounce. Pastor John Emma Chuguqua, a trite. You'll hear it done the right way in a second. Now I want to be clear-eyed on what this guy's doing. First of all, he is defending the word of God. He is defending school children from being forced to read pornographic content. He is confronting school boards who are perverting the minds of kids with sexual content that does not belong in schools. He's been called the book banning pastor and he's proud of that phrase even though he's never banned a book. There has never been a book banned in America of recent times. I mean, it's happened, but not recent times. Certainly not the sexual explicit books that are being pushed into the school libraries. Those are not being banned. If every single government school library in the world said we're not going to have sexual books in our libraries, they wouldn't be banned. They simply wouldn't be there. There's this thing called curating and this is one of the ways you can push back on people who make the claim of book banning. Now I gave that background in this pastor because there's some other details to this story that matter. I'll give that to you in just a second. He was put in handcuffs. And part of that was because he was defending a young girl named Lorena Benson who was forced to read pornographic content in front of fellow students forced by a teacher to do that by an adult. So the details matter and what he's doing matters, but so does the comparison we'll make between the unhealthy form of so-called teaching and the healthy form. There's some other comparisons you can make pretty simply on topic of health versus unhealthy. If the conclusion for you when you walk into a doctor's office is already known. It's already known. You're sitting in the lobby. You are ready to go in and meet with a doctor, explain your condition and sitting back there in a laptop connected to a database is already a series of answers. Will it be this drug, that drug or this surgery? And as you explain your symptoms, you'll notice doctors these days are right there in their iPad. And here's often what's going on. They're listening to you and in the background, this is software searching a Medicare and Medicaid database or your own insurance company's database and it's looking for things they could do for you that they pretend to do for you. It's called claim mining. Now you may not need these things, but they don't really care because it's money. So it might come across that your doctor says, "Hey, have you considered a statin? Did you know that you qualified for a discount on statins or you might be in there in severe pain? Maybe something like neuropathy where your fingers are numb and they tingle and you get these shooting arms, so you're paying through your arms or carpal tunnel. Maybe you've had a serious injury and it's just not recovered and you just can't move your back the right way and maybe you can't do the things you love anymore." Well, it goes into that database, this pill, that surgery or you could go get an interview with my friends at renew.healthcare. Go to renew.healthcare and they will tell you if they're ethically gathered stem cells that come from umbilical cords and placebo only, never anything to do with aborted babies ever, if those could help you. How would they help you? Number one, it would reduce inflammation. Number two, where there's tissue damage, maybe there's cartilage gone, maybe you're bone on bone. It rebuilds the tissue, including cartilage, muscle, tendons, and it does that without the use of drugs. Stem cells happen by nature, this is simply gathering them, culturing them, and putting them into your body. In my case, twice have had it done by a Harvard certified surgeon. Go to renew.healthcare, that's r-e-n-u-e.healthcare. So this pastor apparently goes around the country and he goes and confronts these school boards and at this point, this detail does matter. He decided to not sit down after his allotted speaking time was over. Now, that allotted speaking time, that is sort of an obnoxious thing in a so-called republican democracy, a republican form of democracy, because the school board gets to decide what that is. You citizens only need three minutes. We can't all sit here all night and listen to you. We have important things to do, like to speak to you, to tell you what you're to think. It is the false limit put on us, and oftentimes, it is becoming more and more absurd, like in the state of California. They limited debate, debate on a bill to something like 10 seconds. Why? Because they don't want debate. This is how W.R.A.L. reported this. A pastor disrupted a White County school board meeting calling out district leaders and refusing to leave. This comes after a high school student told the board that she was uncomfortable reading and discussing a passage in class that she described as "incessual." The Bureau's Destiny Patterson explains. Say her name. Justice from Arena Bitsen. I can't, sir. At this point, I must instruct you to leave. Local about his conservative views, Pastor John Amun Chukwu challenges school boards across the country. You are breaking the law. He refused to leave the podium after his three minutes, but public comment went up. In the White County School Board meeting, a school board chairman called it a publicity stunt. Justice from Arena Bitsen. It all started with this short story. An Athens High School student told school board members a couple weeks ago she felt uncomfortable by a passage that made reference to sex and incest. She left the school a week later. This graphic ancestral sexual language should not be taught in any class, much less an honors English class. Lorena Benson's father, Bruce Benson, agrees. There's thousands and thousands of great books that could be taught to kids. Why is the school system and the teachers have to go out of the way to teach a content that is so clearly over the line. The 15-year-old says her family moved to North Carolina from the Dominican Republic a few months ago. I am deeply bothered and disappointed. Most officials declined an on-camera interview citing privacy laws for students and personnel. However, they say they're evaluating the appropriateness of the assignment. Destiny Patterson, W.O.R.E.L. News, Wake County. Quoting privacy, privacy of personnel, working in a public school. That phrase is an interesting phrase, isn't it, public? But they need to maintain the privacy in a public school that you run with your money. There's a lot of ways to talk about this. This is footage. If you're watching the video of the pastor being arrested, there's a lot of ways to talk about something like this, but here's a way to view it a little bit differently. If you came home, walked into your house and your neighbor, let's call him Jimmy Bobby. Jimmy Bobby was sitting on the couch with your 15-year-old daughter. When Jimmy Bobby had your 15-year-old daughter reading him sexual content, how long would Jimmy Bobby live? I mean, I don't want to be a man of the flesh and I don't want to give in to that instinct for doing things that way, to dealing with things that way. But honest to goodness, if you saw that happening in your home with Jimmy Bobby on the couch, making your daughter read him sexual content, your response would be what? You'd want Jimmy Bobby arrested. But these are teachers, a very simple way to confront people who call this book batting. Ask them this, is every single book in the world available in all government schools? They have to say no, unless they're completely ignorant of physics. There's not enough room in any government school for every single book in the world. We're not talking about censorship, we're talking about curation. So what belongs there? If only there was a way to have a method to say, what belongs in schools? Well, that would mean that you'd have to have a mission for schools. What is the mission for a school? Reading and writing in arithmetic is what it used to be, all wrapped up in this, teaching kids how to think, not what to think. Search like this. Little stories like this, sexual stories like this, sexual content like this is not just teaching kids what to think. It's teaching them how to feel at inappropriate ages. You can track the mind of kids, the brains of kids, the brains of all of us. There's a window in time where we can pick up languages very, very easily. I'd wish I'd done this with my daughter that taught her a foreign language because kids who learn multiple foreign languages, you know what else they can do? They can pick up computer coding really, really easy because it's just language. And then those portions of the brain close and it becomes harder for us to pick up new languages or new skills, it closes. As you age, things like neural adaptation under physical stress becomes harder. Learning new movements, new gymnastics movements becomes harder. But also designed our brains to be ready for certain sort of stimuli at certain ages and kids are not ready for sexual stimuli because they do not have the maturity to handle what comes with sexual stimuli, which is this, wise decisions about with whom you engage in such activity, but they do have the gift of the creep factor. Gavin Newsom's great book, The Gift of Fear teaches kids that not all strangers are dangerous. It teaches adults that no strangers are dangerous. But when you have a feeling in your gut that, you know, Jimmy Bobby's a creep, my parents aren't home and Jimmy Bobby wants me to read this sex book to him on the couch. This doesn't seem right. If it doesn't seem right, it usually isn't right. What's happening in schools is robbing kids of that God given gift of fear, fear of creeps. That's not something that should be taken from them. Story number three, I don't want to overload this, but it is truly offensive, particularly if you look at this from the perspective of people who have lost their loved ones in the floods and the aftermath of the hurricanes. It's truly, truly offensive, but it goes to this theme we've been talking about on the larger show, on the full Todd Herman show that you can get at the Todd Herman show.com wherever you are seeing this and are hearing this. It's an easy place to go see the full shows or hear them. We've been talking about it is now more important to act like you're doing the thing than to actually do the thing, but this is truly offensive to me. It's not like it took a lot of time and it's a guy who's the lieutenant journal of the Army Corps of Engineers. It didn't take a ton of time. It's not the time. It's what he did during a hurricane response and it's for whom he did it and it should offend all of us. Sure what I mean here in a second. I do things that sometimes offend friends of mine. I mean, lightly offend. They get kind of frustrated with me for my focus on fitness, truly, truly. I've gone through this very frustrating couple of six months, or a lot of my friends have said, you spend too much time exercising. You spend too much time in this and it's time away from the family. I'll tell them, well, you know what, most of my working out actually happens before five o'clock in the morning or five thirty. That's when most of my exercise happens. My family's asleep. Most decent human beings are asleep and they don't recognize the difference until I explain that to them. Oh, I thought, well, I know you thought, but that's not the reality. I don't do this comparison with them. And I was having lunch with a dear friend of mine the other day was talking about golf. Oh, this was this incredible golf weekend we went on and it was this three day love affair with golf and oh my gosh, my friends, I hadn't seen in years and I sit there and listen to this and go, wow, three full days away from your family playing golf to Shay. This is all in good fun. It's all in good love and I know my friends are speaking to me through love. I don't feel any offense from it, but I am focused and I've taken some shortcuts. I'm going to share one with you. If you have been through any form of restrictive dieting or you're in a phase of that now, you want to make sure that you maintain muscle because if you do otherwise, it can really screw up your body, your skeletal system, your metabolism. So let me share the secret with you. I've only now been allowed to talk with you about I use a product called Mass Zymes. This took my friends at Baptomizers, Wade and Matt, 243 experiments before they would release this to us. They capped that off with a study at Berks International University in Bosnia and they compared people who took Mass Zymes to people who didn't. Us who took Mass Zymes saw a 1,200% increase in amino acids in our bodies. All acids and particularly branched chain aminos are the building block of protein, which is the building block of muscle. These products also, Mass Zymes, provide you great digestive comfort and it's as simple as three tablets a day from a great company by Optimizers. So take action on this. Go to buyoptimizers.com/tod. You'll get 10% off all their products starting with Mass Zymes by Optimizers.com/tod. Stop letting poor digestion rob you of your full potential and stop wasting money on food. Now think about this. Get more nutrition for your buck, buyoptimizers.com/tod. It's not the amount of time this took to Lieutenant General. It's what he did and the fact that in his mind, this was probably very, very normal. I'm Lieutenant General Butch Graham and I'm the Commander of the US Army Corps of Engineers. We do military construction for the Army and the Air Force. We also have a large civil works mission. We help ensure that our ports and our rivers are open to commercial navigation. Second big mission we do is flood risk management on the coast and also in the upland areas. The President gave us guidance to make sure that we're leaning forward to help the citizens of the impacted area from Hurricane Helene as much as we possibly can. We had teams pre-positioned under FEMA authorities down in southern Georgia. The President was very clear for us to work with local communities, the state communities and to provide as much help as we possibly can. So all of the forces that we had assembled that were prepared to provide relief on the coast, we've moved them all up to the Carolinas and are prepared to respond as the situation unfolds. It's a campaign ad. Now Kamala Harris doesn't appear in the ad but she doesn't need to. Figurehead Biden appears. Mayor Pete appears. It's a campaign ad. It's written by campaign staff, communication staff. How do I know that? Because they use the catchphrase of Democrats who are doing everything they can to confuse Americans. Let me be very clear. The more they gaslight us, oh Ukraine's the most important country in the history of the world. It's always been our key ally. FEMA just doesn't have the money. The federal government just said, I have the money. We can't close the borders. That can't be done. We've never done that. Let me be clear. He said that Biden gave them guidance to lean in the commander in chief saying lean forward into this. That's guidance. He admitted in the campaign ad for Kamala Harris that they were already positioned there. They saw the storms coming but Biden was really, really clear that they should work with local authorities. Wow. Thank you. We hadn't thought of that. What bothers me about this again is not the time it took to produce. It took him very little time, assuming he did that in five takes or something. Maybe just one. It's that he saw it as normal. Why am I doing this? How does this help? It helps because of public image. There was this thing called Katrina. Do you remember it? George Jobe Bush let black people die after Hurricane Katrina because he didn't dispatch help quickly enough. Now, never mind the fact that the mayor of Naland's, Ray Negan, left a whole fleet of school buses sitting there that could have taken people out of the city. He chose not to do that or that they didn't close down all the highways. They left some routes into the city open rather than turning them all into escape routes. Never mind all that, that there was a governor. There was a mayor. There were local officials. No, it was George Jobe Bush's fault. Figurehead Biden took seven days to fly down into these storm ravage areas. Now, I am not one who believes that the presence of a president or in his case a figurehead really solves anything. It doesn't comfort me. He's just an employee to me. But that act or that lieutenant general of filming campaign ad wrapped up in were helping people. It's up into that theme, doesn't it? Pretending to do the thing is suddenly more important than doing the thing itself. Since we talked about the storms and the hurricanes, let me remind this all of this, particularly myself. When one member of the body of Christ hurts were all to hurt, let's find a way to hurt this week for the people who've lost homes and loved ones in the aftermath of this flood. And Jesus, thank you for putting that on my heart. You need better remembering that. This is the Todd Herman Show. Please go be well, be strong, be kind. Please make every effort to walk in the light of Christ. [MUSIC]
