But life is always good. Every day is a new day and another opportunity that others may not have. This life that you have been given, this life that you are temporarily holding on to, this life that has been just given to you for only temporary reasons, has more meaning than you can ever imagine. So many people in the world take life for granted. Instead of realizing that you have to take the opportunity to live it the best way you know how. Now on this journey of life, you're going to face a significant amount of circumstances, a significant amount of challenges. You're going to fall into areas that you cannot understand. And maybe it's not in a position for you to understand at that moment. When you start to feel that you are in a position that you don't love your life, then shame on me because your life is a beautiful thing and no one deserves to ruin it. No one deserves to control it. No one deserves to steal your joy. Your life is your life and you have the right to live it the best way you can. You must discipline yourself and take full control and responsibility for the outcome or whatever it is that you are seeking at this moment. I see millions of motivational speakers that speak to the rich, that speak to the successful. I said, "Who speaks to the broken? Who speaks to the individuals that are still in the process? Who speaks to the individuals that doesn't want to live anymore?" Every motivational speech you ever heard, I was talking to myself and I was telling my story. I couldn't read until I was 16. I buried my mother to a heroin overdose. My father was a hitman. I used to sneak in crack houses to sleep next to my mom to make sure she was safe at night. They think I'm lazy. I'm hungry at an alpha. Beast mode, I'm eating all competition. The devil says I've got no money. Money comes to me easily, frequently and abundantly. In God's perfect way. The world says I'm crazy. The world belongs to the bold. They remind me of the losses I've taken. They say I'll never recover. I serve the God of restoration. I will make a comeback. They say you can't pay your bills with dreams. Success will come off the assembly line of my mind. They say I only have average talent. Hard work and discipline on a great equalizer. Why don't you get a nine to five? A normal job that pays every week. Because I'm the head and I can tell. A bulb not below. I was strategically designed for greatness. It looks like your God has forgotten you. My God will never leave me nor forsake me. You really believe all that stuff you're saying? Destiny is obligated by a universal law to concede to the demands of unwavering faith. And I believe I'm a champion. Committed, hungry, dedicated, fearless, bold, never wavered full of faith. Annointed, prosperous, strong, righteous, focused, disciplined. Willing to do whatever it takes to be a champion. I will arise one day and make a fool out of all those who doubted me. I will live with no fear. I will boldly attack the things that scared me. They will not stop me or my destiny. No healthy shoes, no job issues, no financial issues, no relationship issues. Nothing shall stand in the way of my divine calling. Because I am a champion. I was born a champion, raised a champion, have always been a champion, will always be a champion. My legacy is champion. And when it's all said and done on my headstone, they will write champion. Some of you don't even realize you have unfinished business. And to go back where you left off with a new perspective, go back to the gym, go back to the drawing board, go back to the business, go back to the relationship, go back to the burning building. You have unfinished business. All you got to do is show up with a new game plan and a new perspective. You got to finish business. You have unfinished business. You got work to do. To do. Perspective is everything. Let's go. I need you to hear me loud and clear. How you see this thing is everything. You cannot change the past, but you can change your perspective about it. You got to see this thing differently. Stop complaining about the divorce. Stop complaining about the job loss. Stop complaining about the relocation. Your viewpoint is your advantage. Thank you for breaking up with me. Here's what you did. You opened up another opportunity for somebody else to come into my life. Thank you for firing me. You gave me an opportunity to explore entrepreneurship. I'm not bitter. I'm bitter. Perspective is what changes the game. Everybody. My freshman year, I don't play a lick. And before I knew it, I lost my mindset again. I began to recalibrate. You know, everybody done playing NBA. I was graduating four years. You know what, I just go get a good job. It's okay. It's okay. In the end of my freshman year, my daddy called me on the phone. He asked me questions. He said, "Son, you're not playing. Why not?" Politics, Dad. It's political. My father asked me questions. He says, "How did your coach get paid?" I said, "Dad, he just paid the win." He says, "Okay, son. If your coach gets paid the win, why don't he play the players and give them the best chance to win?" He said, "Son, you got recruited. You took all your visits. You chose Minnesota." He took the time. He chose Minnesota. You told me that you're going to turn that program around. You told me you're going to graduate in four years. You told me you're going to make more money in business than you did in sports. One of the core values of our training and development called Family was accountability. That was a core value of that training and development organization called the Bond Family Accountability. He said, "So go back and do what you said you're going to do." My father reminded me of what I said I was going to do. I went back to my coach's office. I said, "Coach, what do I need to do to play in the NBA?" He looked confused. That's what I told him. I'm going to become somebody different. What do I need to do to play in the NBA? I'm taking this thing to the next level. We about to rise up to for you to be passionate. Your logic and your emotions need to be intertwined. See, some of you guys have the intellect and some of you guys have the passion but you have to have both to be successful in this business. Sharks are hundreds and predators. They never stop swimming. In fact, if a shark stops swimming, it will die. If a shark goes backwards, it will die. Think like a shark, act like a shark, and behave like a shark. Can I ask you a question right now? Can I ask you a real question? Not your neighbor. I'm talking to you. What kind of student are you right now in life? You're in charge of your promotion. If you do 5 million and want to get to 10, you're in charge. In order for you to rise up, you better take your game to the next level. Your mindset needs to go to the next level. Your information needs to go to the next level. Your relationships need to go to the next level. Take your money and get information and access and you will get good habits and good ripples and you will go to the next level. Coach, what do I need to do to play in the NBA? He said, "You can't run. You can't jump. You can't dribble. You can't shoot. And you can't rebound, son." Next year, I'll be your most improved player. I'm gonna think. I'm gonna be executed and I'm gonna win. I'm gonna think. I'm gonna execute and I'm gonna win. I'm gonna execute what I've been trained to do. I'm connected to a shark. I'm connected to the greatest training organization in the world. And when I get home, I'm gonna become somebody different. What do I need to do? You need to have an honest self-assessment about what your weaknesses are. And that's how you get to the next level. My sophomore year rolls around. We go all the way to the Sweet 16 and I'm the top six man in the country. I go back to my coach. What do I need to do to play in the NBA? The list gets shorter. The next year, we went all the way to the Elite Eight. We were one shot away from the final four and I was the top six man in the country. I carved out a niche. And that's what impact players do. They make their community better. They make their city better. They make their town better. They make realtous better. Be an impact player in anyone in your life. The altitude of quality. That's something that you put inside your head. That's something that you tell yourself every single day. I literally started from the side of a Turkey Hill gas station. And all I did was ask someone, could you give me an opportunity to go into your studio? Could you give me an opportunity to walk into this place every single day and create my motivation? The time didn't take long. It was only two to three minutes and I'll finish the speech and I'll give it out because many of you guys don't know. I'm not right, speeches. Everything I do is from the heart. So what I did was I truly believed that I had something special to give this world and I want you to know that you have something special to give this world. Don't ever believe that the lack of funds is the reason why you're not being successful. This is not true. The lack of belief is why you're not successful. Every single human being on this earth is a walking million dollar check. And our belief in ourself, our grind, our true grip to wake up every single day and tell ourself and tell the world that I will be something special. It's what separates you from everyone else. I learned that when I stop being envious of people and stop judging people and stop being angry that I'm not on their level is when I truly started to elevate in my career. I said, I told myself, I will never take a dollar bill from another person. I will never sell my dream and my gift to anyone for any dollar of mine. Don't you ever do that. And every morning you wake up and you look in the mirror, I want you to look in that mirror and I want you to tell yourself that I am special, I am great and I am phenomenal. Nobody will stop me from reaching my goal. My goal, my individual goal is to become one of the best speakers of all time. But I know I have so much work to do. While they sleep, I must work. While they party, I must grind. While they procrastinate, I must go after my future with a relentless effort. And I want you guys to grow to be successful with me. I don't want to just be successful by myself. I want my message to grow other people and make other people successful. That's what life is truly about. It's about picking great individuals and taking away. We got to make this decision in our lives today, kids and girls. We will not be ordinary. We will be great. We will be kings. This life is about serving and giving and being true. We live in a world where people believe everybody is out to get you. But I'm telling you not. Some people are just out to love. So for the rest of my career and the rest of my life, I want you to look at William Hollis as your brother, your family. Because we are. It doesn't matter what color you are. It doesn't matter where you came from. The only thing that matters is who loves you now. Growing up in a project upon Yak Michigan, I realized two things. I realized that I won't make it. If I believe that this is my reality for the rest of my life. And two, I had to realize that all the knowledge and my gifts were already placed inside of me at birth. All I have to do is fine tune. All I have to do is keep working on this crap every single day. And I can be successful. When I sat on the side of that Turkey Hill gas station, I realized that no one would believe in me. No one will say William Hollis. One day your speeches will be played all around the world. No one. And I realized that pain was necessary. I realized that without my belief, I cannot go to the next level. And I want you guys to know every piece of motivation I give you. I'm talking to myself. The world just happens to you. Let's become legendary. Let's not focus on who don't see anything in us. Focus on everything that does. You are filthy rich. You are born rich. We're going to forget about the generational act. We're going to forget about the people who left us. And we're going to focus on the people who love us. We're going to focus on the people who believe in us. You have greatness inside of you. You have a everlasting potential. And as long as you have a heartbeat, as long as you have entered your loans, you have an opportunity to change this world, change your life, and live your dream today. You are not broke. You are filthy rich. You are born rich. We will be royal forever. Remember the time when you want it more. Remember the time when there were people in your life that did not believe in you. Remember the time when you honestly gave up on the possibilities of the uniqueness that you had inside. Remember there was a time that you complained so much, but yet did so little, that comes to a point in your life that you must recognize that there's a little bit more that has to be done than just complaining about it. You have to realize that you don't have any other opportunities waiting for you if you're not willing to work for the first opportunity that's been given to you. You don't have a lot of time left, so there's no reason to complain. You're not even in the position to complain. You have to figure out that there has to be another idea about you, and you have to understand that there has to be something even greater and more challenging waiting for you. And if you're not willing to step outside of your comfort zone, if you're not willing to understand the principles and the possibilities that you have within yourself, then everything that you are thriving for, everything that you are hungry for will soon come to an end. Now I'm not here to preach to you about this. I'm here to let you know that there are things that are going on around you right now that are far greater than you're complaining. You complaining about so much, but yet you show no action. If you could trade places with someone right now, and the person that you're trading places with may have it just a little bit tougher than you have it going on in your life right now. So many people are suffering from so many things in this world at this moment, but yet you're complaining. So many people in this world right now wish they could trade places with you, but yet you're still complaining. You don't have that right to just give up. You don't have that right to just throw in the towel and say that it's over for you. Ladies and gentlemen, you got to understand that the reason that you are existing in this world right now is because you have things that must be done and only certain people are qualified to take it to the level that it needs to be taken to. For it should never be a limitation to wherever it is that you are seeking and how far you are willing to travel and how far you are willing to go. Sometimes people tend to get a little lazy. Sometimes people like to put themselves in this little bitty box and just say that they are okay with where they are. There can never just be an okay to anything when it comes to that life. There should never just be a complacent mindset. How do we evolve? How do you evolve? How do you grow? One thing about success, there are going to be many struggles. There are going to be many challenges and there are going to be a lot of things that you may not even understand. But you got to go back to where it started. Remember when you want it more. Because you cannot satisfy your hunger with negative energy. Being negative doesn't help you to grow. Being doubtful doesn't give you the power that you need. You have to come to a point in your life that you must realize that there are things that are going on that are testing you. And maybe you may be in a position where you feel that you are broken or you feel that you are going to be broken. When I'm here to let you know, ladies and gentlemen, that you are built to last. I'm here to let you know that you don't have the right to complain anymore. I'm here to let you know that you got to keep on living and living almost strong. ♪♪ I dare you to take a trip to your local hospital. And if you have an opportunity to walk down those corridors and witness so many different people, different age groups. Different ethnicities. And each one of these individuals are fighting something. They're dealing with some type of sickness. And some of these sicknesses they may not be able to recover from. I dare you to walk down a neighborhood where there are many people that are homeless and have no place to go. No food to eat. Barely even have clothes on their backs. I dare you to realize that maybe you just don't have it so bad after all. Maybe it's time for you to realize and recognize that your troubles are not that bad. Maybe it's time that you realize that you need to get away from the drama that's in your life. Maybe it's time for you to stop chasing misery and start chasing your dreams. Reconnect with yourself. Because this is not the time for you to be wasting. Putting yourself back instead of pushing yourself forward. Ladies and gentlemen, you have so much, so much to offer, so much to give, so much to do. But doing it and sitting around waiting for it to happen is just going to stay in neutral. You have to electrify the desire that you had, that you once had. So the next time you feel like complaining, you feel like worrying. And you're so concerned about other things that doesn't necessarily concern you. Ask yourself, is it making you better? Is it taking you higher? Are you going further? Or are you just being complacent? Complacent and complaining and worried and doing things that are not better for you? Are you going to realize that maybe just going up that mountain does take a little bit more work? To just having something handed to you? Are you going to be that person that realized that if and when you get to the top of the mountain, it don't just stop there? You've got to figure out another way to go even higher. You have to electrify and get all the things that are necessary within you to start doing the things that you need to do. When time comes, you can kick down that door and move towards the possibilities of being the best of who you really are. Don't lose yourself. And the things that's not going to give you the strength and the capacity of understanding that you matter for something. Don't lose yourself in fear. Don't lose yourself in doubt. The altitude of quality. Everybody wants increase in abundance and lifestyle change and new zip codes and new area codes. But you only read once a week and you only work out once or twice a month. And so the reason why you don't have what it is that you see, the reason why what's in your head is not in your hands. It's not your reality. It's because your perspective opposes your potential. You don't have it because you don't see the value in it. If you believe you've been called to be the difference maker, the game changer, the disrupter, the person that comes into a room and commands the atmosphere. If you believe you've been called to be necessary and not grossly irrelevant, then everything you do, everything you see, everything rises. And falls on your perspective, your perception, your viewpoint. How do you see this thing? What happens when your perspective, your perception diametrically opposes your reality? If you are going to give and grow and evolve and attain and become, everything rises and falls on your viewpoint. Show me somebody that hates to work out and I'll show you a man that almost lost his life and the doctor said if you don't work out, you'll die. One season as cumbersome, one season as a problem, another one season as a privilege. He sees it as his second chance, his new lease on life that I have to work out. I get to work out. I get a chance to live a little longer. One person sees the gym as a prison and another person sees the gym as a passport. One man came within inches of losing his life and another man has never come within a hundred miles of losing his life and he only works out twice a month. As somebody else works out four or five times a week, the reason why you only do it once or twice a month is because you don't see the value. The point is either your advantage or your assassin. Your viewpoint will even get you going or get you killed. We see a storm, we see rain and we think depression. We think I can't do anything. Instead of thinking, grass can't grow without rain. Roses don't bloom without rain. Number one, there's one thing I need you to stop saying and that is I should do something. That perspective, that viewpoint, that ideology, that philosophy, that mindset is going to get your bankrupt. I should start this. I should stop that. I should forgive. I should. You don't get what you should. You get what you must have. You must work out X amount of times a week. I must forgive. I must evolve. I must become. I must retain. I must grow. I must live. I must evolve. I must go to the next level. I must live in this type of house. I must drive this type of car. I don't care how bad you think the shoes are that you are wearing. There was another man in this world who would kill to walk a mile in the pair that you wear. What does this mean? This means that what you are complaining about, what you hate, what you can't stand, what you want to walk out of, what you want to give up on. There was somebody out there that would die to be in your position. Here's what I need you to ask yourself. Is this problem an issue or is it an opportunity? Some of you all you've been waiting for your whole life was an opportunity. What if losing your job was the opportunity? What if the divorce is an opportunity? What if the bankruptcy is an opportunity? What if the one you love was an opportunity for you to reconnect with somebody and forgive them? I need you to see the bigger picture. I need you to have a little gratitude. You need to learn how to smile. You need to work out. I know you hate the gym. I know you hate the lift weights. I know you hate cardio. I know you don't like drinking water. I know you don't like taking care of your simple. You think it's the hardest thing to do in the world to commit. But there is somebody who's in the grave today and if they had another opportunity to live, they would enthusiastically with great confidence and courage and consistency. Do what you hate just to live a little longer. Be positive. See the bigger picture. Guard your gratitude. The trial, the tribulation, the adversity, the giant is not your assassin. The giant is your opportunity. Are you going to complain in the face of conflict? Are you going to cease the opportunity? I don't care what it is that you're trying to achieve. What you're trying to accomplish. What you're trying to give. How you're trying to evolve. What you are looking to become. Everything rises and falls on your perspective. Stop complaining about the jealousy and the envy and the backbiting and the person that gave up on you and the person that wasn't present and the person that lied to you and the person that attempted to manipulate and control. I'm not weary. I'm wiser. I'm not toxic. I'm triumphant. I see this thing differently. This season that you've entered into did not come to break you. It came to build you. Until the man or woman gone has destined you to be. Change your perspective. [Music] There's a reason why they say see the light at the end of the tunnel. If you don't see that light, you're going to lose your mind. You will lose yourself. You will snap in half. If you don't see past this. The challenge for many of us is that we got to see past our present pain and end to the fruitfulness of the future. The right perspective makes the impossible possible. You cannot change the past, but you can always change your perspective. No problem could be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it. The severity of your problems is a matter of perspective. Change your perspective, and most of them become insignificant. Some of them will no longer exist as problems, but opportunities. The right perspective is the instrument you need, the tool you need. It's a discipline. It's an advantage if you change the way you look at things. There are things that you see will change. Knowledge, a speech, a motivational moment will not sustain you. Unless you put it into perspective, how will you see the rest of your day? Because how you see the rest of your day will often time determine the way you see the rest of your life. Shift your perspective. You can change your perspective. You can change the future. Many of you listening to me right now, you have unfinished business. And you need to go back to that dream, back to that idea. You have a date with destiny. You have unfinished business. It's tough for you to go back to the drawing board with a new perspective. It's your view point. And what's this? Your perspective actually shapes your language, and your language shapes your world. And so if you don't start thinking right, you're not going to talk right. And if you're not talking right, you're not going to experience the world that you see in your head. I don't know who God has called you to become. But what I can tell you is if you keep seeing it, the way you have seen it, you will never become it. Everybody wants next level. Everybody wants wealth and influence. And everybody wants to be this esoteric novelty. But listen to me, you will never experience any of this. Showing up in your next season with the same view point. The right perspective makes the impossible possible. Life is so short. Life only has only a little time. Although it will continue to go on, you cannot hold on and think that every day is promised to you. We have all experienced great losses in our life. We have all felt that pain of losing a loved one. Someone that we cared about. But yet we're still here. And now we must go on. But what is the example that we're going to lead? What kind of leadership and what kind of leadership qualities do we have? How do we go on? How do we lead the next generation? Hate is not going to make it work. Being afraid to be truthful to who you are will only limit who you truly are inside. Don't let anyone take that away from you. Don't let anyone take away who you are and who you are and how true you are and what you matter in this world to so many other people. Don't be afraid to be honest. Don't be afraid to be truthful. Don't be afraid to be different. Even being different can be difficult to a lot of people. But I guarantee you this. There's nobody in the world that can do you. When the time comes what would you leave behind? What legacy will be left behind to remind others of your greatness of your losses of your victories of your sorrows This is a short life that we all have and it's not easy It's not easy to live in it every day It's not easy to go through so many different circumstances so many different challenges It's not easy getting that pink slip knowing that this may be your last day on your job It's not easy knowing that you may lose your home because you've got to lay it off your job This type of pain and these different circumstances many people are always going to come back and say well that's life We cannot blame life It is not life that makes these challenges what they are today It is the purpose and purpose never lies It will always tell you the truth But why you exist in this world right now?
