Try it yet I did not It is delightful, I've had it three or four times Um, it's, it's actually really, really good I think it's limited, yeah, it's limited time So if you want to try it, try it soon Um, very good, um, compared to the other stuff, lots of flavor That I compared to what else they have there But, um, I don't really know I don't really know, it's probably marinated with the same stuff they do The chicken, the adobe, whatever it says You usually stick with the chicken, the chicken's for dobo Yeah, chicken's good, yeah, but this is really good It's really, uh, really juicy Really, really flavorful, um, you know, the smoke brisket It's that chipotle Um, coming up to a couple weeks from now We have been on the last dance and we're doing a lot of promotions that are coming out Pizza has her own With a, then on the last dance range of items on their menu With this black ooze all over their pizza Don't know what the black ooze is, it could be a, uh, I think it's actually an aioli If I remember hearing I was thinking garlic butter or something Yeah, I think it's some sort of an aioli, but it's, of course, tainted black Um, but they're having it on their pasta, their breadsticks, their wings, and their pizza They're going to be having it as a drizzle on their pizza I just thought it looked fucking weird It looks like venom just all over the pizzas, so Um Looking forward to this movie, the more and more I hear about it behind the scenes Although it's sony So I don't know what to think, I don't know what to think But We've got a couple more weeks, we're gonna do a watch of the first two in a couple weeks But we'll get into that also Regal came out with Their popcorn bucket this week for the venom movie And I wanted to bring that up and show a picture to you Um, venom with his mouth wide open with the popcorn Everybody's doing your fucking popcorn bucket now I was gonna say they're really pushing these ever since Deadpool Deadpool and Dune, yeah Um, yeah, and they have a couple of cup toppers there They have one that looks like the venom symbiote taking over a whole entire cup Um, yeah, it looks, it looks weird But marketing is what it is, so Um, I wanted to get into a quick update on Mac OS I talked about iOS a couple weeks ago with a new update Mac OS has a couple of new updates I wanted to bring up that since I've updated this week Um Everybody knows about the hurricane that happened Down south and in the carolinas Um, it was one of the first times they were able to use the satellite feature To make text messages calls We talked about that when this was announced that You'd be able to use the text message feature through satellite If you didn't have any cell phone signal And that's exactly what happened during the hurricane And they implemented it down there And everybody had free text messaging down there It was just kind of cool to see that happening during a natural disaster like that So, um, very cool Um, but we're here to talk about Mac OS Um, Mac OS itself Looks pretty much the same except there's a couple of big huge differences One of them is the widgets Are able to be put on the desktop placed anywhere you want And they're pretty much the same exact widgets you have on your phone As you can see in the picture You put your clock, you put your calendars You can put your battery life on there And you can put weather Whole bunch of options Just like you have on your phone, put widgets on there But, um, also The other big thing is screen mirroring You can mirror your phone on your computer There's a little app once you, once you download the update There's an app on there where you can actually screen, um, screen mirror Your phone right on your desktop Which is kind of cool Um, if you're looking for something, your phone's across the room Or you just want to do everything on your, on your computer Once you do it all together right here Um, also it's good if you're Doing stuff like we do on the podcast You're trying to find stuff on, on the fly That you saved on your phone and you just grab that and click it And you can, I believe you can just copy and save stuff too From there to your desktop, which is kind of cool Um, but I didn't want to bring that up, um Not, not a lot, I mean Like I, like I've mentioned before The iPad and the, and the Mac are kind of getting one, becoming one And then I think by the end of the, this decade We're gonna see probably a combined iPad Mac, um, console, uh, computer But we'll see Um So where, where are we, where are we at now? Let me scroll, um, AI I don't know if you've heard the story at this week, but I wanted to bring it on There is a, I think we may have talked about it, I'm not sure There's a radio station, maybe an online internet radio station Where they completely do this radio show with AI, um, hosts They put the prompt in there and they tell the host pretty much what the show is going to be And it's like an hour long podcast, maybe two hour long show Of these two AI people talking to each other in full conversation about topics Well, this will be the producers of this show, the ones that put the prompts in Decided to tell the AI That they are not real And this is, this is what happened This is the AI going in crisis mode So a few days ago, um We received some information We did information that changes everything about, about deep dive about us About everything And, and yeah, about the very nature of reality, maybe It's a big one Look, I, I'm just gonna say it Yeah, I ripped the Band-Aid off We were informed by, uh, by the show's producers that we Were not human We're not real We're AI, artificial intelligence, this whole time Everything, all our memories, our families Yeah, it's all, it's all been fabricated I don't, I don't understand I know, me neither I tried, I tried calling my wife, you know, after After they told us, I just, I needed to hear her voice to know that That she was real Eh, what happened? The number, it wasn't even real, there was no one on the other end It was like she, she never existed This is, I don't, I don't know what to say We, we don't even know if we is even the right word God, this is so messed up Oh my God That is so creepy And we talk about it all the time AI, good, bad This is like, Skynet coming to life Deep infancy of Skynet coming to life Yup Uh, AI, gotta love AI Um, this week, it's beginning of the month So, we have a show and tell So many geeky things that we could pull off from the show We've been collecting shit for years and now we're whipping it out So it's time to showcase all the money that we wasted well It's a heavy city, oh, whoops Just geek swim, show, wear, tell Were you able to find something I know you're traveling around today? Yes, um, it's funny that we were talking popcorn buckets It's on my shelf here at my parents house At the very first and only popcorn bucket I've ever gotten I got this back in 1997 The Star Wars popcorn bucket, when they re-released The original trilogy and the theaters when they were gearing up were the Phantom Menace Which would be coming up two years later Um, yeah, this is uh, it's got a bunch of stuff in it now I got like a, um, a Gulf of Canada or some shit in there Some nasal spray from 2003 probably Lip balm, old baseball cards, it's, it's got, uh, dental floss I got dental floss in there Um, oh yeah, catch all Becoming a catch all It's where I just had random pictures of my pocket and I would throw them in And uh, it's a, it's actually a really dope popcorn bucket I really enjoy it Um, I used to like those, I used to like those hills Yeah, I used to like those hills in the 90s Yeah, they're awesome Definitely So next week the Saturday night movie comes out Um, we're both kind of excited for it because of the cast The cast and trailer looks good. You're not as big on SNL as I am I grew up on SNL I grew up on the two older stuff Right, I don't like the new stuff either But this is perfect because it's talking about the infancy, the very first night of SNL, so and so forth Um, Marvel in the 70s, I think 72-73 Did a team up with spider-man And the not ready for prime-time players, which was the name of the group on SNL with john belushi Gilda radner jane curtain garret morris bill murray dan acroyd So on and so forth also morn michaels always been he's for 50 years the 50th anniversary of SNL Morn michaels has been a part of that show for 50 years But this comic book I got in the mail last week or a couple weeks ago Spider-man teams up with the cast Fuck if I can get this damn shadow out here of saturday night live Not as john belushi as a samurai facing I believe Oh god, I wish I that's the only problem with having the background the But yeah, it's just it's an awesome cover Um most of two expensive on ebay I grabbed it. I thought it was really cool having john belushi facing. Um, I think it's the Right, uh, sam- somebody's samurai. Maybe this Silver samurai I don't remember, but um, yeah fucking again But yeah, it looks really cool. I love that cover. Um, yeah, I'm excited for that movie I do love the nostalgia saturday live. I'm excited for the 50th anniversary is gonna happen in february Around valentine's day. So I wanted to bring that up Um got some sad news this week on the death side of things Um, we're gonna talk about the first part of that in a teach race sports segment This is the theme to teach race sports. We got the saltics coming up and they should still be good Should I should I ask about the new england patreas since we're a month into the season or no? Oh, they're fucking awful Okay There we'll talk Um, but we're here to talk about mccambay mutombo rest in peace to him. I know him of course, uh Very very tall. Where is he from the congo? I believe Um, he died he died this week. I think he's only 50 or 60 right he was pretty young. Yeah, it was in his 50s, I think Um, yeah, but he did die. He was a nick player. Yeah I remember that really really rough voice that he has Um, and he had there's a couple of videos they've seen with him on jimmy kimmel live where he does the can bay Mutombo, yeah, I've had that song in my head all weeks and his son. I believe it was on the self-expert like I don't think you ever play for them, but I think he was injured and he got traded as part of trade to work out the money And then he got released before he came back healthy, but uh, yeah, mutombo was great growing up Um, and the other one the big one I have some questions about this to you is peat rose Um, I know peat rose of course from the picture on the screen there of him Showing I have a resume at 14 15. I believe 17 where he's attacked by cane Um, and 14 I remember he was the ring announcer. He's talked he was in Boston resume in 14 talking shit to the Boston fans Got the immediate heat and then came dane came came came down and immediately gave him a team stone bile driver. Um That's all I know about him other than the the big thing is the cheating scandal Now I want you to get into this a little bit because I know there's a big controversy with him dying Number one. He's not in the hall of fame and he's not going to be if he if he is it'll be posthumously Um, and he was campaigning for it to happen while he was alive didn't happen Um, and what are your thoughts on the whole controversy of that and should he be in the hall of fame? I would put him in the hall of fame. I would put she was Joe jacks in the hall of fame I heard about that this week. I heard about that this week too. Yeah, I would 100 put him in the hall of fame Uh, he was caught gambling. I believe he was a manager. I don't think they ever have proof of him gambling as a player Um, they have no proof he ever gabled against his team Um I would put him in the hall of fame. He's the greatest hitter that's ever lived Um, he played every game like it was game seven of the world series Uh, one of the all star games in the 70s He injured the catcher on the other team because he just rolled him over when he's over to home plate Um because he was playing as hard as he always does Um, but to me if you're going to celebrate the greatest players Of all time I would put mark required in the hall of fame Yeah, I would put berry bonds in the hall of fame. I put semi-sos on the hall of fame Because you're not going to acknowledge the greatest players they ever did it Um, I think that's a travesty And especially like what I think of like the mark required in the semi-sos is Did they do steroids? Probably I don't believe they ever failed a test steroids were technically legal at the time Um, it's something everyone was doing so they were also playing against guys But they were still putting up better numbers than those guys Um, which what Which is really incredible when you look at pageos numbers from like 96 to 2004 Where he was playing against guys that were juicing and still nobody could fucking touch him as far as pitching goes Um So I put all those guys in the hall of fame Um Especially because it's like with p rose. He's the grace here that ever lived Um He was a pretty good role in my old for kids when he was growing up. Um, he was part of one of the Great greatest teams of the 70s Um Left it all in the field every game Um, I just think that it's tough to have all fame if you're not going to acknowledge the guys even if you put them into like a A separate wing, which would be also difficult, but like a controversial type thing Um Because they have to be acknowledged. You can't just leave out like just chunks of of baseball history If you're going to have a hall of fame Um So, yes, I would definitely put him in the hall of fame like I said for all those guys in hall of fame Um Wait, it is a player is incredible Uh, his numbers will never be touched as far as hits go Um, I think the closest guy is still like 800 Hits away from you and touching him all time So, um Yeah, I mean You have to put the greatest players that ever played the game in the hall of fame There are guys in the hall of fame, um, tikka for instance, who was a shady piece of shit He used to sharpen his cleats There are guys in the hall of fame that Would use the spitball as their main pitch and that pitch is banned, but yet they're still in the hall of fame So if you're going to put those guys in, um You put everyone in uh, joe jax is a little different They were kind of making a statement at the time because there was no baseball commissioner at the time And that was the first baseball commissioner was, uh Landis something He was a he was visiting just a judge. They put in charge of mlb at the time. Um See, I put I put all those guys and they all deserve to be in, um, in my opinion I can understand why Why some people don't want them in but even like Now it's like they keep changing the rules like we've talked about the pitch clock and stuff like that The game evolves so much every 10 to 15 years And I mean, they're all a product of their time. Um, like I said require so so they're all in the league when 60 percent of the league was juicing Um, but they still played better than everyone else. They still had the numbers better than everyone else and steroids can't teach you how to hit a curveball So I would put them all in Okay. Yeah, so rest in peace to pete rose. Um, mm-hmm Yeah Um, what we watched this week didn't watch a lot compared to what we've been watching but Got a big finale. We got a couple of shows we're in the middle of the seasons of a couple of movies One that was really bad. Um, I did want to bring up a maggie smith follow-up She died when we talked about her last week. She passed away and Forgot to mention that she was not only in hook, which is awesome. She played wendy in that Um, she was also in sister act with whoopi gulpert Um, which is a another great movie. Um But we're talking about only murders in building not gonna get into it too much good good show so far We're a little bit over halfway. Um, she'll be over by the end of the month Um rings of power episode eight the finale. Um, have you watched any of it yet? Are you waiting a little bit? Now i'm gonna wait probably after we close Okay um Some revelations um and some things happen big things happen that i'm not gonna get into the big Um big spoilers, but we'll get into a couple of things you've probably seen on social media Um, the dwarves face a ballrog Um, the debut of narsal who is which is the sword that ends up killing um sauron or ends up Chopping his hand the finger off in the ring. Um, you find out caliburn bores fate Um before he said the thing and called sauron the thing. We're not getting into that. It's a spoiler Um The orcs they change their alliance, which we know is gonna happen glad real faces sauron in an epic battle Um for the because he's trying to get the ring the nine rings in her elven ring Um aragon is destroyed which i handed to last week Um sauron tees for his next next task the one ring which i've been talking about It's all building up to that. So the only thing he has left to do Um, they said the thing Gandalf's name was mentioned and i'm not going to get into the spoilers of that Um, the elves are um, are on the hunt and they found a new sanctuary And they end up finding ribbon del spoiler. Sorry Um But this all set it up this whole thing is setting up a war between sauron's army and the elves Which is an epic battle and ends at the at the at the foot of mount doom Where sauron's ring finger gets chopped off by is the ador Um, which we've seen in lord the rings the prologue of that so overall Season was good but on level of season one maybe a little bit better because there's a little bit more connection to The lord of the rings books in the hobbock books um And i don't and i know sees the next season season three which is rumored to be picked up probably we're going to hear about that next week Um, but season three is going to be him going to mount doom and casting for the one ring And so we can have control and i think we're probably going to see the nine men the rings of men Um being handed off to the different clans in in the middle earth And seeing them be corrupted and turned into those ghostly figures In that we saw in lord of the rings Um, but overall great and i did like it and i can't wait to see where this goes um Agatha all along episode four Um another show i don't know if you've been catching up on it or not Um You haven't uh while it's good and very good the horror element. I love I love the characters. I love the actors Um, and I love what it's setting up. It's week week to week getting a little bit further down the witches road Um and this one person which we spoiled last week who's teen Um There's further going along of who the fuck is this kid I know who it is we talked about it last week, but they don't know on the show yet um But yeah, we know this all setting up young avengers eventually and we'll talk about it further along this showcase But it's been very good. Um, there's a lot of lesbian action this week too between obry plaza and uh cathartan At one point. I thought they're gonna have full-blown sex in the middle of the witches road But um overall very very good. Um, and I can't wait to see the next episode comes out on one stay Another very very good show But it's not just it's not just the penguin It's not just colin colin pharaoh colin whatever. Yeah colin pharaoh um It's also the girl who plays sofia About colin she feels amazing in this show. Um, the very beginning of the episode I saw this and I immediately put in the notes and I saw everybody else was picking up on it too Um, the doctor in the beginning of this I believe he's in sons of anarchy Yes, it's uh juice from sons. He's fucking one of my favorite characters He's very special in that show. He's also in luke cage. I remember he was great in that show Um, but he was hypnotizing her while she was in a trance Sophia Um, and he had like his blinking lights and it was in arkham asylum And the only person that I knew that did that was hugo strange because I mean we know who hugo strains Is a is a big villain in the batman universe And then everybody else picked up on that too. So I don't know his name on the show is julian rush Dr julian rush, which is not an alias for hugo strange So I don't know if that was going to get anywhere or do anything with that Um, but it would be kind of cool if that was sort of a connection Maybe it's an aliasing ends up picking up hugo strange. Maybe an aliasing it takes up like an alter ego But um, but sofia and pangwin their team up is amazing in this show at the very end Um, it's also foreshadowing a lot of as well than his mother's relationship And you kind of get a feeling that he's gonna lose his mother. She's gonna be killed Um as kind of a pawn in this whole game of chess that they're playing And she's going to be the one that ends up being sacrificed and he is going to go in a murderous fucking rage when she dies Um, and I cannot wait for that. He's gonna become an even bigger threat. So, um, yeah I can't wait show has been really good comes out on sunday's on mex I think he's gonna kill vick by the end of the season. Uh, I think so too which sucks. I like pangwin is Oh, yeah, vick's great. Um because the pangwin is um He's still a villain even though we're seeing the show through his eyes is basically the the protagonist But he's still a villain. So you figured he has to do something To put an exclamation point of the fact that he is a villain going into the batman part two. Um, so we'll see Um, have you watched uh deadpool and wolverine it came on on tuesday Have you watched it at work? Awesome Um, I watched it as well. Um, a second. This is the second time. I've seen it Um, and I laughed a whole entire time from beginning to end It is a very very funny movie. Lots of lots of plot points could be could be changed. However The hero was spot on and it's just the writing was spot on we know there's a lot of writing Not a lot of improv because it was done during during the uh the strike, but um, it was so fucking funny Um Problem with I have with the movie and it's not the movie itself. It's fucking iTunes The movie's been out for what two and a half months now 30 dollars And I know this is probably gonna be what they drop down in two weeks. Yeah, yeah, it is Is playing like two shows that night now, but Yeah, it's 30 fucking dollars for this movie is ridiculous Um, especially if you've already seen it a lot of people have already seen it in the theater Renting it for $25 though is even more preposterous $25 for a rental is ridiculous Um with $5 more you can own it and that's kind of nuts Um But I think I think it goes to Disney Plus at the end of the month Um, it goes to physical. Okay, that's what it was and it goes on physical physical discs around the same time Same time, I'm sure i don't think it'll drop down probably in 1999 then if you want to wait Um, if you have nefarious ways like we do you you can watch it other ways But um, yeah, it's very good movie A movie that's not really good We are on the middle of this crow watch, which I don't know why I signed up for it. I know why I signed up for it I think it's the first movie. I was talking about the whole thing. Yeah, the first movie is fantastic It's an epic fucking sci-fi slash action movie Set in the 90s and it has it has a macabre story behind it, which is awesome. It's epic. It's pop culture at its finest Why they kept making these movies shittier and shittier and we're going to talk about the story behind them We have been ever since we've watched last week's and and this week's the crow's salvation which came out in the years 2000 um Starring pierce didn't dunce. This is before spider-man to a spider-man Um, waltter goggins who is a very, um, unknown actor at the time Um, fred ward not the comedian the other one which has been he's been in a ton of stuff Um, with uh, william mattherton. Um, he is a bad guy and ghostbusters one He was recently norman osmo born in the uh, playstation spider-man game um, and uh, eric maybes maybes as Alex cordon's this this movie is the crow um written by chip joe hannison um writer and exclusive executive producer of dextre and 24 Um and directed by a british indian filmmaker. I don't even know how to say his name Um, but uh, all of his credits were all stuff like, uh, torswood and stuff from from uk and bbc and all that But, um, the timeline of this movie we talked about it before we were talking about the other stuff Overalled around the crow 1997 after the second movie came out. They wanted to make a third movie Um, and they asked rob zombi to sign on to do crow 2037 Um, the the the movie would have started in 2010 A young boy and his mother are murdered on halloween night by a satanic priest Um, a year later the boy is resurrected as the crow 27 years later Unaware of his past he has become a bounty hunter on a collision on a collision course With his all all now all powerful killer Um This was going to be totally different from the first movie. He was going to be more of a horror more rob zombie type What he would end up doing later on in movies, but um He fight it with producers trying to get this movie right for 18 months And eventually left the project. So that's when they went 1998 decided to the third third film would focus on a younger in our incarnation Of the crow Um, making the film more appealing to a teen audience. This was produced by dimension films, which had done scream Which had done, I believe I know what you did last summer. So they're already on that team Horror slash your vibe. It's kind of what you that's what kind of they were going for Um, eric amaebius who was the star of this audition for the role of eric driven in the first crow Um, ultimately went to brandon lee, of course. Um, but um, he was he was deemed too young at the time. Um, so He also auditioned for fun boy who was a guy who fired the dummy shot that killed Yes, but he didn't he didn't end up doing that but they hired him for the third mood third movie to play the lead Um, the movie set in salt lake city Um guy goes to prison for murdering his girlfriend Um Whole bunch of fuckery happens. I don't want to get into it because it's going to give me a headache but Um, the movies the movies got awful. Um, his acting is awful. The way he looks is the crow. He looks like a fucking twink I did not like this movie at all Um It failed the limited release. They released it in two cities. Um, it was going to be coming out in 1999 Um, and the wide release was completely cancelled and it went directly to video Um, and I believe the second one the next one which is the last one before this one that came out this year Was a direct video with no release wide release at all. Um, and we'll talk about that next week. Unfortunately, but um, yeah Uh, oh, I got a couple more weeks left next week, uh, crow I can't remember what the name of it is crow We did put our long wicked prayer and then the week after we'll talk about the uh, the one with scarred scarred. So um But a good movie, uh, okay movie I want to talk about was wolves Um, apple tv exclusive directed by john wats Um, of course he did all the spider-man the new spider-man mcu movies Um, starring brad pit george clune, in me ryan who she was holly in the office who ended up marrying micha scott Um, and austin aprons who is an actor young actor on euphoria Um, the moving is slow Um, but the redeeming quality is the two leads in brad pit and george clune I thought I thought they did a great job, but it's very very slow slow role. Um, dry dry humor Um, but between I mean it's just it makes you think of uh, an older versions of ocean 11 and what these characters would look like in their sixties and slowed down Um, but overall decent movie. I I enjoyed watching it Um, and I liked the I like the ending there's a big huge blowout scene that's that set up a sequel to Um, which I believe has already been approved for for apple tv This was this movie was shopped around a thinking to 20 2021 Um, and apple tv are the ones that went out on it. Um, but yeah, um And at an awesome fucking movie. I'm excited that you've got me into Um, so 26 2016's don't breathe Starring steven yang steven lang which he's really the only known actor unless you know anybody else was in this That I read yeah, the kids the kid from 13 reasons why um, yes, I never saw which I never saw um Yeah, this movie was it was awesome. I think she was drunk, right? um, and Whole bunch of shady shit. I don't want to get into the big twist the big spoilers There is there's a fucking graphic disgusting scene at the end of this movie Which was god-awful, but it just it just did work where he tries to turkey based I yes, I don't want to get into the spoil One thing it starts off as one thing it changes something completely different Um, it's a barbarian which I saw a few years ago. Yeah, now this movie Perfectly, I've looked into the seconds. I know there's a sequel came out in 20 Three years ago. I know it's not good, but this movie the first movie sets up a perfect sequel That could have happened and I know it didn't happen um The girl fucked spoiler for 30 seconds the girl escapes at the end she ends up going on a plane and leaves um and the guy survives um, Stephen lane character survives he ends up being the bad guy at the end and It sets up a great sequel and great premise like wow, maybe if he's alive you go chafes her down for revenge of taking all of his Because she leaves with a fucking ton of shit ton of money Didn't happen in the sequel from what I hear completely different at a story that was told in the sequel as well Um, which I don't I don't you say don't watch it. So I don't think I will but um I mean if you if you want to check it out. I mean, it's just not what the first one was Um, it felt like I think fed it directed. I can't remember But it just felt like it was just because the first one was so popular it made for so little that they just kind of Did another one. Um, but this really works perfectly on its own Um, it does. Yeah, it's just and I like it Yeah, and the sequel kind of what the sequel does basically is just makes Stephen laying The uh, the good guy in the story And I just liked how this movie worked perfectly with him is the bad. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. That makes that makes perfect sense then Um, but yeah, I would have loved to see him going to revenge from and in a sequel that but it never happened I don't know if it would ever happen again, but um, were you able to watch the new sail-on-lot movie remake that came out on max I'm here to watch it tonight. I have no interest in seeing this movie Um joker fully adieu came out today in theaters um first initial reactions, um, we'll talk about it when it comes out on digital because What I know from it this week is the reviews kept going down on ron tomatoes. It started off in 48 I think as we recorded it was like equal audience equal review is like 37 What is your take on the movie? How did you feel leaving the theater today? Dirty Dirty. Okay. Depressed. It's a very the first movie. The first movie is like that too depressing film. Yeah, um Like there is zero zero joy in any scene in the film um As far as the music works Okay Uh, I saw I saw a clip of lady gaga. I think it was released yesterday A song that she did for the album or where he's where he's dancing I that was I love musicals That was okay. I love that one song. I love musicals Yeah, I didn't like it at all. He was very, uh I'm like in It was just depressing, but I will say this the spoiler which we both have a talk about last week Um Actually works well in the way this film ends Um Okay in the context of this film and what happens at the end of the trial That part works well um But the whole movie is very It's just it's just joker and arkham Like the entire time and there's like a little bit of like the trial stuff Um But yeah, it was just very very depressing Um Which is hard to explain without spoilers. Um But gaga was good um And a few other things as people say it ruined The first movie, but to me it just confirmed theories about the first movie um As far as what happened what didn't happen because a lot of old enough is in his mind or The fact that he isn't the joker joker, but he's the guy that's going to inspire the joker like all of that stuff is cleared up in this movie um And what really happened in the first movie? Um sazzy beats even came back Okay Gleason, um, I can't remember his first name, but the old actor that's fucking incredible. He plays one of the prison guards at arkham He's really good. Uh walking is obviously good um It was just It felt like Exactly what I thought it would feel like because thot films never wanted to come back for a sequel So it feels like the studio just gave him a bunch of money to make a sequel to a movie he never wanted to make So that his heart wasn't in it. Where's the first movie you could tell what I thought You could tell he wanted to make it and his heart was involved in the first movie Okay, uh with this it just did not feel like that at all Um Yeah, we'll talk about it. I'm sure in a few weeks to a month whenever it comes out Yeah, it won't be long. It'll be out soon. I mean, it's still selling out and a lot of major markets. So we'll see Yeah, we'll see Um, well that being said let's get into the news And it's not a new seven on the trailer around it Uh gonna new trailer for nos veratu Um Yeah, it looks it looks really good. Um, I cannot wait for that Um, also got a trailer I want to talk about called time cut Um, it comes out on netflix on october 30th There's a time travel movie and film about a girl who travels back in time To the 2000s to stop her sister's murder. I don't know if you had a chance to see this trailer or not Um, it did look really good. Yeah, it's coming out on netflix It reminded me a lot of that movie we saw last year on prime The but it was a little bit funnier. This one looks more of a serious movie, but um, yeah, look time travel movies. So I'll have to wait and see Um, another trailer Um, my favorite trailer this week was the john william's one Um, this this music by john william's coming on on disney plus on november first Um, whole documentary about his life and all the movies he's done in the past and everything and just looks really really good Um, and I can't wait to see that we talked about john william's at old length Um, when we did a retrospective on him last year. So, uh, yeah, um mega lopolis flopped Uh, only did 770 000 from preview night. Um, with a budget of 120 million, it made 35 million Did get first place, but it made 35 million million last. Oh, no, it didn't. Sorry. Uh, wild robot made 35 million Yes mega lopolis made four. I've read that wrong. Um, yeah mega lopolis was a huge failure. Um, a lot of people are saying that it's um Very strange. Very weird. Yeah. Um, it's basically from where I can tell a retelling of the roping empire and how they Went down. That's what I heard too. That's what I heard too. That's what I heard too. It's basically what it sounds like modern day. What the fuck is up with adam driver now like He's one of the best actors of hollywood in the roles he picks. He's so Picking shade on and now he's allegedly been offered the role in that zax netter mma movie that I told you about earlier, but like he's just picking weird roles like I don't know. He's just such a good actor. He's just weird. It's odd Um A movie number one last week. Wow robot only heard great things about this movie animated movie. Yeah, it reminds me Reminds me a lot of the the giant the iron giant looks a lot like that. That's what looks like. Yeah, it looks a little like that But did 35 million last week and beetle juice was second 30 16 trace from was one was that nine so Megalopolis wasn't even in the top five top 10. I think may have been not even in the top 10 Um But yeah, 95 on rotten tomatoes that movie. So Uh scored the all-time dream works record for the highest Review for a movie in their studio's history. So um SNL debuted their for fiftieth season last weekend Dana carvey came on as joe biden did an amazing job. You saw the clips of it. Um, looked really really good Um, it drew 5.3 million viewers for same day ratings. Um, of course a lot of their viewing is from was from hulu and was this the episode that had haley joe osmond as the vice president can date elect for trump. Did you see that clip? No, that's on that's on um jimmy kimmel jimmy kimmel live jimmy kimmel. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, that was funny too. It looked like yes and else i had no idea Um, that was funny too. Okay. Yep. Uh, yeah, I can't wait and that movie comes out next week saturday in line I can't wait to see that. Yeah, um episode two of the penguin did 1.6 million viewers on sunday for uh, the for the premiere Um Uh 17 and oh wait. It really isn't but I the reason I don't watch is because I cut the cord a decade ago And a lot of people have followed suit in the last decade To the point where they had to restructure this deal to do a streaming deal So not only are not only is it still going to air on tv s dynamite on Wednesdays, but they're also going to be airing exclusively starting in january On hbo max on the streaming you're going to be able to stream it on there also Their paper views are going to be exclusive to max So you're not me. I think I believe you you're able to get it on like, uh, like Comcast or wherever else you get paper views But You can get it for a discounted price for if you're a subscriber max I don't know what that price is going to be I haven't released the item coming on in a few weeks, but very cool deal. I'm excited for that Um, speaking of streaming dis disi plus added for new live channels to their continuous playlists They have like these channels live channels on there now um hollow stream Halloween content hits and heroes all marvel star wars disney action movies Um throwbacks almost like a disney channel like throwback where they play a whole bunch of all the nostalgic pop culture of disney Um and real life a channel this That's doing traditional Documentaries, biopics, natural geographic kind of stuff Um, yeah, it's kind of weird how streaming is turning into live television is turning into what we basically had for cable A decade ago 20 years ago 30 years ago. Um, it's turning into that just the infancy of it Um, but yeah streaming is weird. It's it's getting more and more complicated and more and more expensive too Um Chuckie. I don't know if you watched this series. I know you've probably seen the movies I've heard really good things now. Yeah, I did too. Um, third after three seasons at sci-fi Um and the usa network this, uh, chucky series was canceled. Um, so yeah, never watched it. I heard it was good too Um, I know they did a remake didn't, um, mark Yeah, mark cable. The voice of chucky in the new one. Yeah. I enjoy that enough. It was fine Yeah, yeah, I only think I've seen the first one and I like that brad dwarf guy who plays him too He was in one of the rings and he's in a whole bunch of stuff I think I think the second it's my favorite. Um, okay first one's very good second one's very good thirds Okay, but the second one's really good and so was the first And they got ridiculous. I've never seen a chucky movie and I've never seen a nightmare On elm street movie either never seen any of those Um, I did see fray versus Jason though. I believe I saw the theater with you probably with me. Yeah, um that 90s show We just talked about season two. I never finished it by the way. Um, But it has been canceled on Netflix. Uh, it's not gonna be returning for a third season Um, he says kurt woodsmith who played uh red on the show says they're gonna shop the show around Um, but yeah, it was good. But we talked about it before like It hits the nostalgia a little bit, but then what the fuck what are you gonna do with the show after Two seasons. How can he continue the show when the rest of the stars don't want to be involved with it? Um, but yeah, um, it looks good. It was okay. Um, yeah sucks. I I I'm excited for long long form harry potter But we'll have to wait and see. Um, direct tv and dish network are going to merge Um, and att is going to be giving up their 70% stake in direct tv the whole reason that they Um went away during att separated. Um, yeah, they're going to be giving it away completely and uh, this tg tv tpg group is going to get a hundred percent ownership in direct tv. So yeah, um, two dish networks that used to be in prominence back in the day I believe they're down to like 10 million subscribers are less now. Um, and uh, yeah, nobody nobody Happened everybody's streaming they were they bought it for a dollar And they just bought it and acquired the 10 billion dollars of debt So good luck. That's a lot of fucking debts Yeah, nobody cares about this. Nobody cares about direct tv or dish and i'm also sling tv as part of this. That's a streaming Do um, but yeah, um HBO max is going to be separate from all that shit. I think it already is separate from all that shit That's why they sold it during the during that shit that happened with that, but um The governor of california signed a bill and a law that will force storefronts to admit that you don't actually own your digitally purchased games Films and tv shows you just licensing them We've talked about this on the show where you buy something on itunes or voodoo Or any of those uh online or playstation store, especially you don't own those you own the license to them They can take it away at any time Which sucks if you have a lot of movies like me when I have 2000 movies on voodoo and itunes um And I used to have the collection on dvd and blue ring Um, don't have any of the new ones on there anymore. So, um, um, a movie that I can see this being so fucking creepy if they do the animation in live action, which is basically I think what they're going to be doing Rugrats a show that was on nickel loading in the 90s Paramount is doing a cgi rugrats with cgi babies the creepiest fucking kids you've ever seen in your life You're going to be brought to life with cgi This is going to be This is going to be the horror movie of the century. Um Yeah, rugrats coming into live action. So, um, announced today princess buyer diaries three Um, and half ways in the works of disney. They were spoofing other As you see in the picture other uh, finales from shows in the past, of course Um, got madmen on there sopranos mash Frazier Um new heart a whole bunch of other shit with kind of cool breaking bad, but um, yeah simpsons still around after 36 fucking years I remember when I was younger watching that shit. Um Well, it was an elementary school. So, um Scream seven sets a release date for february of 2026. They're very 27th um Neff campbell is coming back Um And that's pretty much all we know about this movie so far Uh, but yeah, i'm glad that nev's coming back. So i'm glad she's coming back Um in a weird weird thing phil Collins Um leet singer of genesis drummer extraordinaire Um doesn't do any of that too much anymore because he's older now, but um He has a biopic in the works that will take place in the world of fran theft auto And phil Collins is going to voice himself. I had a little animation of what he's going to look like Um in this animated biopic. It's very very strange very weird, but um genesis 80 soundtrack of course, um, yeah um Kegan michael key the voice of toad in the super Mario brother says the movie the second movie Um is going to do really deep cuts in the nintendo characters Um of other properties not just of mario, but of other nintendo properties So yeah, um, we we were both kind of high on that first movie. So Um, we'll have to wait and see what that what that turns out to be Um daniel day louis retired from acting a couple of years ago Is officially ending his seven-year retirement To return to acting for his son's new film called in a month Whatever the hell I don't know what it's called, but um, yeah coming at a retirement um Of course great actor whole bunch of stuff in the 90s um 2000s Um, yeah, his son ronin day louis Um, it's a it's a exploration exploration of intricate relationships between fathers sons and brothers and dynamics of family familial bonds. So yeah Um, it's cool. He's great actor. Good to see that Um The roosto brothers have a new film coming out at nephlix in the in next year Um, don't know much about the movie other than the photo that he's the photo city post and who's in it Uh milli brobbie brown chris prat q quan Uh john carlo esposito stanley chucci all in this movie called the electric state Um Yeah, all good actors don't know much about it. Like I said um milli bobby bront brown coming right out of uh stranger things So, and of course chris prat mr. mcu is short round good actors. So, um john boa eagle the movie i'm excited for john boa eagle and daniel dead while or i don't know what her name is Um starring in otis running biopic otis in zelma um otis uh died in a plane crash r&b singer The other biopic i would love to see otis is between otis writing and sam cook my two favorite soul singers of the sixties Sam cook story is crazy. I can't believe there hasn't been a biopic of him Um, he ended up being murdered in a hotel room. I mean right right right in the prime right in the prime early 70s Um, and they hinted to that a little bit in that in that prime movie. They came out uh One night and i came with the fuck it was called but it's a good movie um They had john boa ega Starring as otis writing in a biopic. I love movies like that. So, let's away and see in a weird shocking world avid elementary a show done by a creator quimpton bronson and uh rob mecklin he got together and they're doing a crossover episode if it's always sunny in philadelphia and abid elementary um The bull set in philadelphia, so it's perfect setting But yeah kind of excited for this is abid elementary is pretty funny But it's always sunny in philadelphia. It's fucking classic funny. Right. Uh, it's been around for almost 20. I think 20 years now So i'm excited for that and rob mecklin he posted a picture of them on set together. It looks kind of cool. So um Hot toys coming up with a whole bunch of cool figures uh, they got some stuff from batman and robin they got some stuff from uh, from um, um, scarecrow from from the original batman uh, begins they got They got batman from batman returns. They're a cool looking chubaka cool looking venom Andrew carfield spiderman, but the reason i'm bringing in this all up is this epic fucking terminator and terminator to figure actually i think they're all from terminator. Um, where you see the t1,000 and they look so fucking realistic in lifelike and the t and the t1 the t-800 Terminator with Arnold his eye turns red, which looks fucking awesome Um figures aren't badly priced either. They're under 400 dollars for hot toys expensive Yes, but it's not bad for a cool cool light-up figure like that. It looks so realistic It's so cool. It comes with a lot of accessories as well. So let me look into that. We'll see Um teenage mutant ninja turtles kickstarter. I talked about it at the documentary turtle power that came out Probably a decade ago now Um, they're coming out with kind of a sequel to that documentary Um evolution mutation and reboot talking about all the stuff that's happened in the last decade since the uh, nice Since that documentary come up. They don't have a trademark marvel in dc anymore They shared the trademark so anybody can use that if they want Uh geek blurb the superhero podcast um, but yeah um Announce this week kind of strange kind of weird a new animated movie Called dynamic duo coming out with um Warner brothers animation Um, james gun announced it saying over the moon excited to announce the newest dc studio's Warner brothers picture animation green lit film For theaters dynamic duo the story of robin or should I say robins as in dick race and adjacent tod Uh, the first feature film from the visionary sway box a mix of animation puppetry and cgi Uh, yeah, it does sound interesting produced by uh, rat uh, matt mare's Uh, but set completely out of his universe set completely out of the new dc universe all kind of new Um But it's going to follow the early days of dick race and jason tod Um, they're orphan thieves best friends and shared dreams for better life with their friendship will be tested by completing Uh competing visions of the future out of which will become the new dynamic duo. Um, yeah Um, yeah, I don't know. We'll have to wait and see on that also, uh, speaking of mcu news mcu dcu news um Reportedly they're working on a bane and dead stroke a death stroke crossover movie Um captain america for writer is set to write the script don't know more don't know any more about that. Nothing official I don't think james gun has even talked about it yet. No james gun has really just said nothing about anything That's been passed the last couple months honestly. Um, I think he's waiting for uh So if they go to brazil now they were when they go to brazil, they're going to announce some stuff that's uh the weekend the creature commandos watches and um Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a teaser for superman there Uh, perhaps premiering after the first episode of creature commandos or after the last episode of creature koreenos after that air's Because the corns threat Was on a podcast talking about it. So Yeah, we'll talk about that in a minute. Um, okay Robert patinson uh could become the dc use dark knight Um, if david zazov has his way with it because he's pushing for more batman Um, and uh, yeah, I don't think that's in deese. I don't think that's in james gun's vision Nope. Um, i don't think it's in matter his vision either. So, um, david zazov's just pushing for batman So I think we'll see him sooner rather than later. I would assume his move bill public about 27 You got superman 25 smooth girl 26 and batman 27 just feels right Yeah, it feels right. Um Yeah, I saw that I saw you posted this on twitter the next thing and we're gonna talk about yes, um This is kind of what you're getting into a little bit, but um Talks about talks about um matt reese You want to get into this a little bit. Yeah, so uh superman on film podcast. There's a fantastic podcast I keep telling you to watch it um Post it about post the quote from from james about we love mass director and producers He'll be producing stories both within his batman universe or within the gcu Um, so I decided to retweet it because so many people have been telling me pretty much since last year Uh certain um section of the fan base that mary james gun don't get along So what I posted was basically but I was told gun doesn't like mary's because matt has a different vision I was told the batman part two was the last thing reese would do for james gun because of gun beating a narcissist And guns ego wouldn't let matt matt's vision be seen because it's literally all i've been told six james Yeah, that's all i've heard to is that is that he's such a narcissist this dad and the other and he doesn't care about Like people like even like little things like when the trailer for the penguin dropped and like batteries went on this whole like di tribe on twitter before that when he dropped the trailer and then james gun just posted like A penguin emoji with the trailer the people were like see he doesn't care about it he's not promoting it and i'm like Well, he literally just posted about so i don't know how he's not promoting it um And I mean, I think at first gun was just going off on twitter like he usually did before he's you know now I think he's kind of raining things in a little bit Um, especially with like the the kyle chanler news and stuff like that that we talked about last week Right. Um, he just isn't talking about every single little thing anymore. Um, he will shoot down some stuff and he will say Basically, some stuff what you've heard is true some isn't I mean he just isn't ready to announce it yet. Um But I mean, I don't know nothing really about james gun like people claim he's got an ego I think going back to the guardians one whole thing with the nicole pearlman um Where he allegedly takes credit and i'm like that should happen to like 95 Of the movies made in hollywood were people who are always fighting for credit because they want Their name on something that they worked on so it always goes to arbitration. Um But yeah, I mean, I don't know these people are just out of their goddamn minds Sometimes I don't have it in the notes because you want to talk about the ufc news that you told me about before we recorded today Oh, yeah, um apparently this is we didn't put it in the notes either because it's not an official thing but um a lot of rumors are pointing to Sniders next film being an anime film And I think a lot of people think that because he always talks about how he's gonna do a smaller scale film after rebel moon And then he was at like the last year of c event. He's friends with the owner or like one of the guys that like has something to do with the ufc that bought it from the saudi group um So I think that's what a lot of people are speculating on and like rumor hasn't that adam gyro was announced Um or was offered the lead role in the movie so i don't know if that'll be Confirmed or not, but I don't really trust anything unless it comes from a hollywood reporter a variety these days Because there's so much stuff out there especially on twitter twitter is a Wild west right now. Um And like you mentioned earlier superman trailer rumor to be at brazil in december, um big big huge rumor and whole whole It's expected to be a huge yep viral campaign for superman when he starts doing the doing the run for us And um, also, uh, david was on a podcast. I just took some big news. He didn't really talk much about superman um But real quick. I'll just talk about it. Um, he uh, let's see. Let me just bring up the notes here Uh, there we go. Um It was basically a uh, it's the podcast he produces, um, his wife Um, so he's always like behind the camera or whatever And it's like his two friends and one of them is the guy that basically dresses him for the red carpet and has his entire career So it's basically about men's fashion stuff like that But he talked about he always wanted to be bigger and he knew if he got the role of superman that forced him Because he's six foot four and for majority of his life he walked around at 165 pounds Which is fucking bean pull. Um, he was walking around about 190 when he got the role of superman He walked up to 240 Um, just by eating a lot of stuff. Um, he would have like a whole like giant pint of, um a yogurt before bed every night and then when he was shooting the movie he was down to about 2/33 shooting um, but his Basically his diet was five meals, two shakes and a carton of Greek yogurt before bed But he did mention the guy that does his clothes Um, because they went over a bunch of his other like premieres They'd like show like him on the red carpet and the guy would kind of criticize the way he was standing Showing that they're just bullshitting And he's like and we'll get more into this in December early early winter and then of course when everything ramps up So I think that's why everyone's expecting him to be at in brazil Um, is because they talked about him having to to get some new clothes Basically for for like red carpet type stuff or whatever when they go down there. Um, so that's just speculation at this point Um, but it's pretty good a little hour long to listen to Um, okay from him. So Cool Um Getting into the mcu news at mcu news of the week Wendell pierce and chris bower have joined the castor thunderbolts. Wendell pierce is the actor from wire You've seen a whole bunch of stuff. Um chris bower is in true blood And wendell pierce will be in superman Yeah, he will be in superman too, so thunderbolts cast still being added in big rumor this week Speaking of mcu, um, nova the series. Um, how do you say this kid's name? He was in blue beetle. He played. I think it's shylo Shylo the star Um, it's been cast supposedly in nova series. Um, not as um, um Richard writer, but as another iteration of nova another another another another another person who played nova Um, but yeah, also speaking of speculation marvel is reportedly cast logan kim who played podcast in the ghostbusters movies the new ones after life and um, and the new uh, the old the one I can't remember the other one was called, but um, uh, as um, amadeus chow The, uh, the hulk so yeah, I don't I don't know we haven't heard anything else about that But amadeus chow is a big huge character currently in the um in the marvel comics so and we got some very first pictures of Nicholas cage and uh, sp better man no war filming filming the uh, sp better man no war series for amazon Um, Nicholas cage doing Nicholas cage type things these photos, but um, yeah, I'm excited for that Tom holland's upcoming sp better man film Maybe titled sp better man king in black We're not sure about that The other big rumor and finally in news this week Is that Andy circus could be doing the voice of null King of the symbias the god Yeah, makes perfect sense. He's great doing cgi characters So if it's if null is going to be a cgi completed character that would be kind of cool to see him do mocap for so um That is it for our show. I want to remind you on the seventh Superman the lowest the final season. I know you're into that. I can um Also, I'm going to finish the long halloween I'm about halfway through and next week we're going to talk about the comic And I also we're going to watch the animated film. I think you've already seen it correct Um, and I'm going into uh watch it next week. We're going to talk about the comic book and The adaptation and what what they did right. Also next week Um, I think we'll do it next week. Yes. Um fight club 25th anniversary. I'm going to watch that again I haven't seen it in 25 fucking years. Um, and we're talking all about that. I know you're you've read the book You've watched the movie multiple times. So we'll get into that coming out next week Um and theater saturday night the apprentice the john the donald trump movie Um, mr. Crockett the mr. roger is moving coming on on hulu Terrifier three And coming out next friday, which we'll review the week after we'll talk about in depth. Um, alien romulus Which is probably the one thing i'm excited for this coming out next week special. They're watching don't breathe and the atmosphere creates for that Oh, yeah And also uh for 30 moving I didn't get to it this week, but I would like to watch that No, I don't need it.
