Join us on Keith Love, the show you can't ignore We ain't Kevin Diving deep until all things go low Comic book, movie sci-fi and action Thrilled with viewing new TV shows, we keep it real real We're missing the attitude, error wrestling at its peak Your style, trip from the 80s and 90s, memory sweet seek Pineapples for a lot of ratings, and you need touch Keith, culture ain't our blood, we love it so much Keith Love for a thriller, we love it so much Keith Love, where we talk about it all From superheroes to wrestlers, we stand tall We ain't Kevin, the dynamic duo in sight Keith Love, shining bright, shining bright Did you hear about true love, that's messed up right? Keith Love, taking you on nostalgia flight From movies to TV, you cover it all Join us in every week, we'll have a ball (upbeat music) - Welcome everyone to another week of geek blurb Got a lot to talk about, a lot of stuff we watched I'm going to start off with a quick recap of only murders in the building, episode two of the season It's getting really good, good show, if you want to get into it It's a good time to do it, it's a weekly release on Hulu There is a great scene where they play the perfect Strangers theme song, which if anybody knows this podcast knows we love theme songs, especially the old school ones Rings of Power, episode four, now we're getting into the rings of men The nine rings of men, which we know eventually will corrupt of middle earth But so far they've made the dwarves, they've made the elves last season So now they're going on to the next one, which are the men And then once that's done, Sauron will be making the one ring Which will probably be next season or the season after What I heard this week is this series is expected to last five seasons So we didn't see where this ends - Yeah, they're not set a while ago, so hopefully they pick it up and continue - Yeah, I know there's a lot of story to be told here I'm not sure if we're going to actually see the war with Sauron We saw a glimpse of that in the beginning of Lord of the Rings But we're definitely going to see the beginning of that I don't know if we're going to see going into that There's certain stuff that they can use on the show that they can't They can't touch, I don't think they can touch like the Hobbit book I don't think they can touch the Lord of the Rings books I think that's all done by a deal with the new line I can't remember who has the deal now, but yeah So, last week we talked to all about Euphoria season one And I got into it and said, yeah, I'm going to watch season two And sure enough, last week and quickly went right through season two Kind of sucks that we're going to wait There's a few reasons why this sucks Sucks because we're still waiting, you're still waiting I know you watched this a while ago We're going to wait a little bit longer It's going into season three going into production Sometime beginning of next year And of course, there's one big pun intended cloud That's over this whole entire show We're going to talk about that to the end But there are two episodes in this season That are complete masterpiece episodes The first one being Fesco's and Ashtray's origin episode Which you kind of hit it to last week when we were talking about it And the grandmother was played by Catherine Narduki Who was our Carmine bucco in the Sopranos I'll talk about the Sopranos a little bit after this But this whole entire origin story of how Fes and Ashtray ended up With his grandmother And how she was kind of like a drug queen pin, you could say When she got sick and ended up having to take over the whole empire And the whole entire background is an amazing story I want to see which sucks, I want to see Fes and Lexi They're flirting at this whole entire party And they've worked so well together And by the end of the season we're going to get into it And of course we know that Angus Cloud died in real life So this is not going to continue anywhere We'll get into that at the circulation at the end Cassie and Nate this whole season have hooked up They actually end up together by the end There's a huge bathroom tension scene where Cassie's who is Sydney Sweeney hides in the bathtub for a whole entire time When her best friend who she's sleeping behind her back with Nate is in the bathroom It's just a high, it'd be very very quiet in the bathtub Rule in Jules, the end of last the first season They end up, they don't break up but they kind of separate themselves Their love story that was played out throughout the first season Kind of ended abruptly at the end when Rood didn't get on the train Jules did, they reunite in this episode And at the very very very end of this episode because he wants to protect his family Who is Roo and Jule, he doesn't call her Jules, he calls her Jule Fez beats the fuck out of Nate at the end of this episode He's flirting with Lexi the whole entire time on the couch He gets up to leave and he just beats and knocks the fuck out of Nate That was satisfying Great episode, masterpiece episode of this series And we'll get into the next episode 5 in a few minutes But this whole entire series has to do with drug use And it's Roo who is played by Zendaya, her drug use from the beginning She's in high school, she's a drug addict She's in rehab, the rehab is helping a little bit Then she goes off the path and starts to use again The depiction of her reality breaking The TV viewer can easily get lost in the truth and she has visions But you can get lost in those watching this show Because she's seeing these visions throughout the whole entire series And this is no different in season 2 Her drug use goes rampant And then we get to episode 5, which is the other best episode of this series And it may not even be close, it could be the best episode that they've done so far This is Roo and her life is completely crashing Mother finds out that she's doing drug, Jules tells everyone that she's on drugs again And you just see her heart wrenching breakdown As she's running through the city trying to run away from her problems Literally running away Also Roo tells everyone that Nate and Cassie are hooking up And that has a whole ramification for the rest of the season as well I gotta tell you, all these actors are fantastic in this show This episode was great Another relationship that I wanna see is Coleman Domingo's Ali and Roo's mom I wanna see them together They're kind of hinting towards it throughout this season as well The finale was a play by Lexi, she was doing the play She's kind of an outsider looking into everything So she's doing this play about all of her friends and family And she ends up pissing off her sister Her sister interrupts the play Roo loves it because she's seeing her life play out on stage And she's almost like interfelecting of everything that's going on with her By the end of this episode, the last episode of the series Everything kind of finishes up most of the storylines Like if they were gonna end on season 2, they could accept for one exception And that's Fez going to jail And also Ashtray, spoiler, if you've never seen it, sorry Ashtray gets killed in a gun down Which is something, it could be better than a lot of fucking action movies And a lot of stand downs have ever seen in a movie Ashtray, in a bathroom, in a bathtub with tons of machined guns As the cops are coming in raiding Fez's and Ashtray's house And it's just incredible Of course, Ashtray gets gunned down But Fez goes to jail, he gets shot He's bleeding out, but he gets arrested And he gets cloud dies in real life, so where does this go now? Besides, maybe you want to see Roo and Jules and how their relationship will develop And they've already said that what I've heard is that season 3 is going to be a five-year jump Is that when you kind of gather two or five-year jump ahead? Yeah, it's gonna be a five-year jump A five-year jump ahead into the future, they're gonna be into high school When it releases it will be five years since the last season anyway, so Right, right, so yeah, five years after high school Probably for a lot of them after college, if they go But the death of Angles Cloud is going to be hard to watch season 3 Because he wants one of the best characters on the show If not TV all the time Yeah, he's amazing There's no one else to root for And just the way he played the character, and I know that must be him in real life But just the way that he played us so natural, so nonchalant, I guess you could say It was just great, and it sucks and he's not around anymore to continue this story Because he could have done a fantastic job in his season 3 It sucks, it really does suck And the main question I have is Should there be a season 3 now that he's gone? I mean I guess maybe it should be a movie Why do we need a full season to tell the story to continue this unless they just I mean, let's be honest, it's one of the biggest I think it's like out of all the shows that ever were top ratings to make this for HBO I think it's number four behind Game of Thrones, House of Dragon, and The Last of Us I believe that's what I read Even above sopranos So the show does huge numbers for HBO, so I can see why they want to do a whole season But talking story-wise, like where could this show go from here? And now all of these people are stars, so the budget costs Unless they're signed up for a third season, prior for whatever they first signed up for The first deal for the show, and I just know HBO was known Maybe not so much now, but they're known for not paying their actors They used to be back in the day I'm not sure if they are anymore, but Everyone on this show is almost A-list Close to A-list, no Especially Zendaya, Sidney Sweeney, and Jacob Ellery They're all top stars Also expected to come back too The only one that's not coming back is Barbie, what's her name? And I can't remember her name on the show, she's the overweight girl And she didn't make an announcement that she's not coming back But everybody else seems to be coming back, wanting to close up all the loose ends To me, Fez was the only loose end And maybe Ru and Jules' relationships, seeing where it would be in five years If they're not even talking, we're not even sure where that's going to go I mean, typically as far as paying them goes People will sign up for TV shows for like seven years, basically, it seems like the deal Which is why you can't do anything else Which is why you have an "L" from Stranger Things talking about how she hates the fact that she can't do anything She's coming back to a TV show And Zendaya, I believe, she's like the main producer on this show This is like her baby, so she's obviously getting paid one way or the other I'm sure they have to renegotiate some contracts after everyone kinda got blown up Yeah, because for the most part They have the money for the budget, so I don't know if they're too worried For the most part, everybody before the show started was 2018 was an unknown So now everybody's known, everybody's on the top of the movie list for movie casting And like you said, the schedule's finding the schedule to get all of these superstars online to do anything The whole entire series is going to be hard, but they're all committed to it Like I said, they waited on Atlanta for like three years and they just filmed seasons three and four Back to back, I could just release them at the same time And that whole show has a ton of superstars after that show, so Speaking of HBO, now that we're done with you for it, and I cannot wait to see season three of that, but speaking of HBO Brand new documentary came out called "Wise Guy David Chase in the Sopranos" This is on HBO Max as well Two parts, two part documentary And if we talk, I know you've watched Sopranos last year, I watched it four years ago Two years ago, yeah, I watched it four years ago The very first time we weren't into it when we were younger, got into it later Show was great, David Chase did something, mostly movies would do when he made this big huge gangster drama With a lot of comedy, a lot of humor in it, but this talks about basically his life and creating the Sopranos And it talks a lot about James Gandalfini and how that role took a toll on him I don't know if you had a chance to watch this or not, but it's really good I watched the first episode, because I was planning to watch them, because you said we were going on to later, and then you backed off on that So I got like probably 20 minutes from the second one Okay, I mean, yeah, I wasn't supposed to be a comedy, but what's his name just got being so funny that they just kind of become a comedy Poli, Poli, Poli was amazing, but overall it's a great documentary, it's on HBO It's very good, and it made me want to watch the season, I started season one again this week, I'm on episode five So it's just one of those shows, you see this type of show or this type of story being told in a movie, like Goodfellas, like Godfather You don't see it played out through this long format of a TV show lasting seven seasons, so it's great So we are in week two of football movies, and I watched two First one I'm going to talk about is the one I watched when it came out, I think I'm going to be seen in the theatre, was The Waterboy So I think I've already seen before Adam Sandler, this was his third Happy Madison movie after Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, The Wedding Singer So this is 1998, the one thing I remember about this, I just got into wrestling, and Captain Encino, the big show Or at the time it was the giant in WCW because he was in WCW at the time, he had a little cameo in there And I remember that because I just got into wrestling a few months before this came out in November of 1998 So we were just getting into Freshman's in high school, but great, weird, on paper, weird fucking movie This is the accent that he puts on, but there's a lot of heart, you could say a lot of what you will about Adam Sandler, he has a lot of heart in his movies Even with the wacky voices, even with the wackiness of the characters, he has a lot of heart in there, and this says it as well Kathy Bates plays his mother, I can't remember her name, she plays Vicky Valancourt, she's also in The Craft, she plays a witch in that She's very witchy in this as well, but this is a good movie, but I wanted to watch something I never seen before, I don't know if you've ever seen this movie or not, school ties Long time ago, yeah I kind of figured you may have, came out in 1992, mostly known for all the actors that got their start in this movie Mainly being Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, they, I think the only thing in the credits they did before this is they were extras in Field of Dreams Other than that, this is the first movie they did in 1992, starring Brendan Frazier, Chris O'Donnell, Nicole Houser, who is known now for Yellowstone But it set Massachusetts in 1955, and talks all about the anti-Semitism in America at the time Ben Affleck in Voyage of the Mimi, when he was in that And he was also, and around this time, he was in Rajmont High, too He played the guy with the paddle that smacked everybody's asses, it was around this time, too I think Cole Houser made it in that movie, too, but this is a really, really good movie Like I mentioned, talks about anti-Semitism in America, this kid who lives in Scranton, Pennsylvania, played by Brendan Frazier He gets a scholarship at his senior year in high school to play for a football team in a school in Massachusetts This is all filmed in Salem, Worcester, I can't remember, there are a whole bunch of towns near here But yeah, it was a very, very good movie And Chris O'Donnell, this is one of his first movies, big movies, too, because after this, of course he did Batman He did Batman forever a few years after this, so, and Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, of course, after this did the huge, like, good-bo-hunting run And then Dogma, and everything else, and their old careers were skyrocketed, so very good movie So, last week, we also talked about Alien, because we're getting ready, I'm getting ready to watch Alien Romulus I don't know when this is going to come out But I'm getting prepared, so I watched the first four Aliens with Sigourney Weaver last week, talked about it And how Alien Resurrection kind of went downhill Then we get into 2004, and they decide to make another Alien movie about six years after Resurrection However, 2002, go back a couple of years, James Cameron was ready to make another Alien movie The Origin, you want to talk to Origin about the Alien creatures, how they came to be You also want to talk about the Space Jockey, which is the beginning of the Alien movie, the big, tall guy But Fox had other plans, and they turned the script into a Predator versus Alien showdown And James Cameron didn't want anything to do with it, he was done, he dropped out of the project pretty quickly And the direct quote to me, that was Frankenstein meets Werewolf It was Universal just taking their assets and starting to play them off against each other, milking it And he walked away completely, and was "unwilling to deal with the studio's attempt to influence the potential sequel" Because they were having a lot of say at that time studio, we always talk about a studio at that, especially back then in the 90s Had their hands and everything creatively, and later on that changed The creative is going to actual creative people instead of people sitting in desks Also, Arnold Schwarzenegger almost reprised his role, but then he won the governorship in California at the same exact time So he didn't show up in the movie Sigourney and River flat out told him that she would not return saying the concept sounded awful Alien vs Predator, and after hearing a potential cross over years before I think she watched a filming resurrection, and she said, "The reason I wanted my character to die in that movie for the first place is because of Alien vs Predator" This is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson He directed Mortal Kombat, all the Resident Evil films I think he's set for two Death Race remake and Pompeii And Lance Hendrickson returned as Mr. Wayland And of course, you know, Wayland Corp is the one that does all have the spaceship and everything He is kind of the human origin of Bishop, this was retconned, we're going to get into that in a minute And this all shows Wayland Industries in modern time This goes back to current time at the time, 2004 Showing all of these people in Alaska trying to break down, trying to find this ancient Pure man under the ice where the Predator kind of had all this weird games going on to try to see who was strong enough to kill the aliens This is a weird story, although I did like this movie until the ending, ending was weird I was actually surprised how much I liked this movie really, but And then we get to 2007 And they decided to make another Alien movie called Alien vs. Predator Requiem, Requiem, Requiem, Requiem And the only thing that we know so far is Sam Merlow from True Blood, isn't it? A young Sean Spencer, the good young Sean Spencer from Psych And Rickety Cricket from Sunny and Philadelphia However, this movie is known for the Alien Predator hybrid Who they call the "Pridalian", that's what they call them, I guess But that's what he looks like right there, it's kind of half alien, half predator Because the alien impregnates one of the aliens at the end of the first movie And that's what gets birthed right there in that slot This movie was trash And it's the reason why the next movie was made pretty much And why Ridley-Segott came back and decided Yeah, I want to take this over and I want to do, they originally were talking about 10 years ago I want to go back and I want to actually do that, so that's exactly what he did After all the spin-offs, all the subpar movies, he comes back to direct And tell the story and also tell the story and deeper dive into the space jockey Who was that giant alien creature in the beginning of the first alien movie that was in the spaceship Before production, the crew started to distance the film from the previous alien film At first he said it was a prequel to aliens, and then they started distancing it from that too Being vague about the connection Because he wanted everybody to believe and build up the audience's anticipation of the movie I remember when I watched this, it was like everybody was questioning, is this a prequel to alien? He's kind of saying it's in the universe, but this is before I was even really into Alien I think we may have watched Alien 1 together, he made me watch it So I knew that that, I knew that was the speculation was this is a prequel, nobody really knew until you saw the movie Especially the end of the movie This is co-written by Damon Lindelof, I don't know if you talk about that all the time He actually went in to rewrite it, he's of course a guy who wrote it John Spates, Spates, he wrote Dune Part 1 and 2 Passengers and Dr. Strange, which is notable writings as well Michael Fassbender comes in playing the character David Guy Pierce is Peter Whalen, CEO, this is the retcon I was talking about This is the origin of the Whalen Foundation this time It was just Alba, Charlie's Theron Naomi Ripace, who was the foreign dragon tattoo movies I think the region ones, she wasn't in the American one Berwick Wong was in this movie Patrick Wilson had a very small cameo in the beginning of the movie as well The title card brought back to the Alien format from the first movies where it slowly comes in and shows the title card, I thought that was pretty cool This movie is set between 2089 and 2093 within that four-year period Talking about the Engineers, Faith and God, basically what the movie is about Who were the gods, how were we put on Earth The viral campaign of this movie started off with this picture This was put in the New York Post and New York Times I believe of David It's a whalen promotion of this robot that you can buy That's what they're promoting in the magazine I thought that was pretty cool, but this movie was really really good I remember seeing it in the theater with you because we saw it in the theater and it was very good And I didn't understand much at the time, especially the next movie I didn't understand anything So this is the whole reason why I'm doing this watch Everything, the whole picture came together when I saw this movie Because everything connected, especially the space jockeys Especially everything with the next movie, which was Alien Covenant It came out five years later, 2017 Really Scott returning to direct, Michael Fassbender returning as David And a new Android Walter Guy Ritchie has a quick cameo in the beginning of the movie And Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, James Franco This has set a decade after Prometheus Or not a decade after Prometheus In the beginning of the first movie And yeah, very good story now that I see everything I understand a lot more I kind of want to see where this story would go However, Fox got bought out by Disney Direction went differently with Romulus And I know Alien Earth is the next project coming out on Disney Plus next year But we were talking about these movies and what was the highest grossing of all these films Prometheus was the big one, $402 million Alien Romulus last month was $314 million A couple months ago, Alien Covenant was $238 million I'm not sure if this includes inflation or not Definitely not The first Alien movie, $186 million, Alien's $183 So on, so forth, I'm looking it all out But just this week, Alien Romulus grossed $300 million, $314 million So I cannot wait to see that movie, I'm very excited And these are my rankings for the movies I know you talked about your Alien rankings, not too long ago These are my rankings, I have Aliens #1, Alien #2 Prometheus #3 Alien, I believe that's Covenant #4 Alien vs Predator #5 Alien 3, Alien Resurrection and Alien vs Predator Requiem Is the very, very end of that list I just did some quick math The first Alien movie would have made $800 million If it was released in today's time with inflation I just wanted to do that for my own thought process there Yeah, my ranking is Alien and Alien is kind of tied I'll go Alien no more Aliens Romulus 3 Prometheus Covenant And yeah, the rest Yeah, the rest Because they're all like... I don't know how many movies are involved The only 3 is very nostalgic for me That's why I like Alien 3 so much more It's extremely nostalgic The first one I saw I see that in theaters or I saw it right after it came out of theaters But I love that movie Even though it's fucking trash, I still enjoy it I can't believe Alien, I can't believe Alien Resurrection done made That's how bad that movie is That movie is awful It's very bad, and I just can't believe it ever got made Especially in the direction and everything So that's it for our Alien Talk And we'll continue this a little later on When we talk about Alien Romulus Hopefully that'll come out soon Speaking of that, the Crow Came out on Digital today And I know we're going to do a deep dive in that next month as well Including all the older Crow movies Which I will be doing a watch of But another movie That we're going to give an actual score to This came out on Netflix this week Called Rebel Rich Starring a newcomer Aaron Pierre Nobody knows, I'm going to put this picture up now Because a speculation of Everybody wants him to play Green Lantern And I have this side-by-side picture That it would just look incredible And Chris Pine, we'll talk about the Green Lantern news later But I know you talked about Chris Pine Being a possible player For this movie Playing Hal Jordan But John Stewart, played by this Aaron Pierre Who did a fantastic job in this movie And Anna Sofia Rob The only other movie Two movies I know her was Brigadier Bithia when she was really young And then not too long after that she did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The remake with Johnny Depp This also starred Don Johnson David Denman Who was Roy from the office James Cromwell was in Babe He's in a whole bunch of other movies too And Dana Lee Was the owner of the Caribbean through Seattle He's the owner of the Golf Club That gets in fights with Larry David all the time This movie was a great action movie I think it surprised a lot of people Because number one it was on Netflix Didn't come out in theaters The star is an unknown But he did a fantastic job He was really really good The movie itself May have had a lot of problems in the story However, I think his performance Is going to make him a superstar That's why speculation and brain lantern Came up this week Because he just plays it off so well For me this movie was a four out of five And I can't wait to see What other movies this guy's going to do I think it was very good Yeah, I'd give it a four out of five Also, my favorite scenes aren't even the action Seems I watched it twice this week I watched last Friday and then I watched it again The other night My favorite scenes are Any of the cops? Yeah, like it's very well done We're very well written And when I watched it last week I was like, I know I've seen this guy So like 20 minutes into the movie I am to beat it He was in that little show about Superman's grandfather, Krypton I was like, oh, that's what I've seen him before We played somebody on like the council No more council Interesting Because there's something his eyes Something about his eyes is like And he's going to do some other small stuff And of course, it plays John Boyega Like starting production all that stuff And this movie? And this movie? Oh, I didn't know that. I had no idea That was this movie. This was, they started filming with John Boyega In this movie and there's some Remember that story? Yeah, and I don't know if he had a family situation Or what, but he left like After a few weeks and then this guy came in Aaron Fier and just Fucking knocked it out of the park I can't imagine him being in this movie Like they were completely different All a different movie Very different, yeah I'm just thinking now how different that movie would have been Very good, very good movie This is on Netflix called Rebel Ridge Hunt it down, very good Usually a movie you'd hear about this in the theater But Netflix gets all the exclusives So very good Did you end up watching Killer's game? Did you get to the movies today? I did not get to do it I was out there saying I went to bed That's cool, we'll talk about it when we see it But that did come out last week With Day Patista And we do want to see that So with that being said, let's get into the news And it's not a new segment about the trailer We saw a new trailer for The Apprentice Starring Sebastian Stan as Donald Trump I don't know about this movie I don't know what your thoughts about it Are too, but it just looks weird I don't think Sebastian Stan does a great Donald Trump I think he could get anybody else to play But I think he could get anybody else to play him Did they only get him because he was Tommy Lee? Maybe he just spoke like he was doing the same thing He doesn't look like Trump at all It doesn't look like him, doesn't sound like him And I know Trump is very much against this movie So he's starting to sue in the past But I don't know Not something I'm interested in However, I am interested in this movie Another trailer come out for Saturday night This movie just premiered somewhere And the reveal embargo broke a couple weeks ago Last week and it's getting rave reviews Directed by Jason Reitman And the cast looks great The story looks great It's all about the first night of Saturday Night Live And it just looks great Every trailer I see of it looks fantastic Let me get an official trailer For Dexter Original Sin We've got a new date of December 13th We've got a new cast photo too A new Dexter and a Christian Slater Who's playing Henry and his father But yeah, I'm excited for this Now that we've watched Dexter It comes out a couple months You know I'm watching that show just in time Yep, it comes out by the end of the year So that's going to be really good It's going to be on Paramount Plus too And I believe the big thing with Dexter It used to be on Sunday nights Now this is going to be on Fridays Streaming on Paramount Plus though Yeah, it comes out Friends like the day stuff comes out on streaming It seems there's an air Friday But all about the origin of how Dexter Becomes the not only a serial killer But how he works at the police station Believe he starts off as an intern And then builds up into being a blood analyst Also, I forgot about this I saw this years ago before I watched Dexter But if you're familiar with the office During one point in the show The paper gets built But the thunder mifflin Gets bought by a paper company Called Sabre And they make printers They make a bunch of stuff Well, I forgot that the Sabre printers Showed up in a whole bunch of other shows Including Dexter Also show up in Parks and Rec I had a couple pictures I didn't put in the notes yet And yesterday we got the trailer Which we're going to have to discuss a lot about this Is then in the last dance We saw a confirmation Of who the villain is going to be Who the main overarching villain is going to be A lot of speculation on that Which we're going to talk about But it's going to be null That is known in the upper left corner Of the comic book Speculation That is played by Norman Reed That was the rumor going around today Nothing official We're not even sure what capacity This null is going to have in the story Because the other rumor that came out today Is everybody talking about Spider-Man 4 And what that movie is going to be The rumor now is That this movie, Venom 3 Is going to be setting up Directly into Spider-Man 4 And the show down That everybody's been wanting to see Is Venom vs Spider-Man or Venom with Spider-Man Facing off together Against null No official word All rumors taken over the internet Of course, not even sure If this is a true or just fan speculation I'm all for it However, I think I posted on my Personal Facebook this week Soning you cunning little fuckers Because we know We know the game that you're playing You give us what we want However, we know this Not exactly what we're going to get Like, I wanted null Of course, everybody wants the king of the symbionts The god of the symbionts We got him in the movie, we got him in the trailer Are you going to give the reins To Marvel Studios to actually finish Yeah, tell this story correctly Right, like this is what we want This is what the fan speculation I think that's why that rumor came out Is it even true at all? I don't think we're going to see it But the creators of null The comic book creators They found out the same day we did When we saw the trailer They were like, "Oh great, now my paycheck is going to be great after this" And no idea That's Sony being Sony But yeah, the big rumor was Norman Reed And the other big rumor was Will this sit up to Spider-Man 4 Tom Holland And Tom Hardy Finally coming together to face the big ultimate This is a Thanos level villain by the way One of the bigger villains of the Marvel Universe Not only, I mean the Necro Sword Which we saw in one of the Thor movies Thor Love and Thunder But he's just He's been around for the longer Longer than the same amount of time As the Celestials Galactus He's been in the universe Multiverse forever And of course the big thing with Null 2 Is there's a Venom Hive mind That he kind of controls And it was actually mentioned I think in an after credits scene with Venom Maybe in the last movie Where Venom talks to Eddie Brock He's talking about the Hive mind It's kind of the multiversal equivalent Of all the venoms being connected To each other through this Hive mind That's why he kind of If you remember correctly He's looking at a screen he sees Spider-Man on screen He's kind of looking like he's a familiar character At the end of that movie in an after credits scene Like yes, he's seen Spider-Man before He knows who that is Of course Eddie Brock doesn't know who he is But the Venom symbiote does because he's seen him Through multiversal fuckery With the Hive mind of Venom I'm not sure if that'll play out in the movie However, there are pictures in the movie Trailer of that playing out So yeah, it's a lot We've got a month left until this movie comes out So we'll wait and see You know my feelings of Sony And a whole Spider-Man universe over there Last week in Beatles used to earn 41.5 million dollars in the box office Opening day And the overall weekend It made 110 million dollars Making it number one Deadpool Wolverine number two with 7.2 million And then Ronald Reagan movie 5.2 million So did huge numbers for them It was the It was the highest for September Second highest for September It was the hit chapter two And behind it chapter one Is number three Also the third biggest Box office this year so far For opening weekend Deadpool and inside out Two were number one and number two But yeah, it was huge For the end of the year Kind of box office blowouts I'm excited to see it However, a movie like this Why did it take 30 years to make And I know your feelings On Tim Burton as well Kind of have the same feelings for him too Hit and miss Lots of misses though I'm excited to see it though We'll see Made a lot of money over internationally Two 35.4 million dollars Making the whole total 145 So we got new Apple stuff released this week New information on new iPhones New AirPods AirPods 4 and 4th generation Going to bring in that active noise canceling For the first time For $179 so pretty much what you pay for the pro version You're getting for the regular AirPods Up to 30 hours Battery life Of course these have the charge in case You put it back in there to charge them AirPods Max coming up with new colors And they're getting rid of the lightning port Now it's going to be in AirPods Solid, yeah There were bad colors Well they didn't do the USB-C USB-C Which I don't think any other Now I don't think anything else uses Lightning cable anymore This is one of the last ones Everything else is USB-C now I'm not sure But lightning cable is all gone USB-C is a standard Coming up with Apple Watch series 10 Bigger display OLED So on and so forth I have the blue that I actually like And I got my phone's blue My watch is blue They don't have that It's all in jet gold Silver and jet black And they have new iPhone 16 And the weird thing about the iPhone 16 And iPhone 16 Pro is this A brand new button And this is a complete control of the camera Controls the zoom Controls the shutter of the camera And pretty much If you have an iPhone It's on the right side Underneath the power button It's what they're calling The camera control button And then you get all the New upgrades Improved battery life Faster of course Bigger better chips Faster And let's see The Pro version Is going to be the biggest iPhone Getting close to 7 Getting close to having a brick in our pocket If we don't already, if you have the Pro Max These cameras are really good 48 megapixel Yeah, 33-hour battery life For the Max version These are priced up pretty high though Low-end Pro Max If you want to get the very largest screen 1199 I think the most expensive For 1TB is close to 2000 And yeah, Apple Intelligence Only coming to iPhone 15 Pro And newer And it's coming out in October So we're not going to be able to test that Until we upgrade our phones Next cycle So I think Apple Intelligence Probably the biggest thing from this Other than that Not much else We did get another product that was announced this week The PlayStation 5 Pro And the big thing about this Is The $700 price tag For a PlayStation Pro version Of a system that's already been out for what When the PlayStation 5 came out Five years ago, six years ago The first time that I came It was very COVID Okay, it was probably 40 years ago So 2020 baby So yeah, it was four and a half years ago probably So instead of making the price point good Making it kind of Complication wise, good They decided to skyrocket it up to the highest Price ever first system, I believe First $699 It's outrageous Number one, it doesn't come with a disc So if you want a disc For the same side Disk you can buy for the PS5 slim You can buy it for this as well And attach it to it The disc drive itself is $129 So you're already up The disc drive on your PlayStation 5 Pro That's terrific The only game that I could see This being worthwhile for Would be GTA 6 When it comes out next year If it doesn't get delayed I'm sure they'll be fine number it'll be PS5 So I'm not sure what they're about Right, and I think so too I think this is just a Caught from Sony to make money And I think it's sickening But $699 for a system When you can buy a switch for $300 A switch is pretty damn good It's pretty cool that you can do it And that just includes one controller So if you want the whole entire Anisholata for this Two controllers, everything else You're over 1,000 already Flappy Bird A mobile game that was viral A decade ago The only thing I remember about this Is the guy who created it Did not want it to be out anymore In the app store, it has not been around since Well, Flappy Bird Foundation Group has purchased the rights In the trademark of the original game And is bringing it back next year This game, like I mentioned, it went viral Everybody was playing Flappy Bird It was one of those games you just had on your phone Kind of had the 16 bit, 8 bit Kind of like Mario Actually, to the fact where there are pipes That look almost identical to Mario We're in this game and you're playing this bird That was trying to fly through And you get to see how many times you can click it To get it through the pipes It was huge, it was, it went viral It went all over the social media That game was pretty addicting, knocking all over Very addicting, yeah, see how far you can get I think the most added was like 49-50 I couldn't get that far, but you have to be in trance And that to get pretty high I know some people get high and that's high scores in that game But yeah, coming out in 2025 The redo of that game So we'll have to wait and see on that Warner Brothers Discovery 1 million in quarter 3 Probably because of Game of Thrones house drag Probably, I guess, but yeah Season 2 of Lord of the Rings rings the power The first 11 days had 40 million viewers globally I believe this article came out because There was rumors that this season was not getting great readings And they're just showing it People are still watching And I think just people are complaining about the story It's a slow go There's not a lot of action right now There could be I know there's war being built up The goblins are coming in Or the orcs are coming in To wreck havoc soon In the next couple of episodes But you have 40 million viewers And 11 days is pretty damn good I'm waiting for the whole thing to be over Before you watch any of it Yeah, really started, so Shaleen Woodley It set the stars Janice Joplin in the biopic I love biopics, so I'm kind of excited about that Shaleen Woodley Mostly known for that American teenager show She's done a few movies as an adult She was also Mary Jean Amazing Spiderman Got cut out of the movie completely With Andrew Garfield And Aaron Rogers When he was going to eat in clay phase Yeah, that was her big fame After that show ended The show is real It's happening, the office remake Set in a newspaper factory Cast three new people to play Play in the office Play in the office sandbox Along with Donald Gleason And the other actors that they hired To play in the cast The only one that looks familiar Is the middle one, Chelsea Frey I think I've seen her as something I just don't know what it is But yeah, I cannot wait for the office I love the office We saw the very first glimpse Of going into production this week Of happy Gilmore Adam Sandler back in They also announced that Julie Bowen and Christopher Mcdonald Who had already mentioned he's coming back His scooter MacGavin Is going to be joined in the cast And Bad Bunny WWE superstar Bad Bunny Joining the cast Travis Kelsey also said To be in the cast as well I'm excited, I'd love Happy Gilmore Another thing again with this Do we need it 30 years? Do we need it 30 years later? Do we really need it 30 years later? I think it will But it's nostalgia I'm all for it So what to wait and see Brand new poster for Smile Because the kid who stars in it Is Jack Nicholson's son Ray Nicholson And in the poster he looks exactly Like his dad Jack Nicholson in the shining I never saw the first one How did you like it? I heard it was kind of mixed I reviewed it, it was pretty good But it was kind of Stuck with the same thing Where I think the first one started Was it Kevin Bacon's daughter Or somebody like that Was the star Or the second generation actors? The only thing I remember is There are these people showing up In the backgrounds of the Today's show A sporting event Smiling in the background That's the only viral campaign Yeah, I remember that Kathy Bates says She's going to retire After she does Matlock The reboot of Matlock, she's going to be starring in that show That's going to be the last thing she does before she retires Speaking of Kathy Bates earlier Yeah, she's a great actress She lost a lot of weight She looks a lot different now than she used to So yeah, I'm not sure about Matlock Show of course Start Andy Griffith back in the day, right? So yeah, I don't know I announced this week The Super Bowl halftime show for 2025 Is going to be Kendrick Lamar A lot of people wanted Little Wayne to be in the Super Bowl And I have seen Little Wayne perform I have a feeling that's why They wanted Kendrick Lamar to perform Because he is god-awful Especially as a live performer You can see what you want About his CDs and his production Which I know is kind of sketchy too But the live performances You do not understand a fucking word he says I think he's just on the shoot This is too much Also want to bring the suspect in the Super Bowl The whole reason that we have Half-time performances Is because of in Living Color And I saw this article looked it up And sure enough 1992 in order to be competition For the Super Bowl that was happening On Sunday night Fox aired in a living color special That night And it had over 20 million viewers Over on the other channel Compared to what the Super Bowl was getting The same night And to kind of retaliate for that That was running the Super Bowl And the NFL Decided that they were going to do these half-time shows And have these performances And at the time 1993 they had the biggest start That they could to perform And one of the best performances ever It was Michael Jackson It was the very first one in 1993 And of course you hear it all the time Where there are other options to watch Other stuff during the Super Bowl For the half-time Of course they have a puppy bowl And a mankind in the rock performing And an empty arena So they always had this before But this is where it first started I didn't know this I guess But yeah, it's where it started in 1992 Within Living Color And I love that show The Bear, they already had Emmys last Emmys is this weekend But they had the pre-stuff last weekend And the Bear has already won seven Before the show even airs Best sound editing, mixing Best casting in a comedy Best actor in a comedy John Bernthal for guest actor Jimmy Curtis for guest actress Only Mercy in the building has already won four Outstanding production, music, short form Comedy, original music and lyrics And Shogun, a show I have not watched Have you watched some of Shogun Couple episodes? Yeah, I did. It's good. It's good, okay. It did win 14 Emmys All-time record for a single season And it has not even aired This is just pre-emmys stuff Best sound mixing, editing Best picture editing I was very confused when I was reading People were winning Emmys and I'm like, but they don't They're not on till the 15th, so how are they winning Emmys? They're just the pre-stuff The stuff that's not shown on TV Was already done last weekend. They're doing a week ahead of time. We're gonna talk about the Emmys this weekend And I think it airs Sunday. We'll talk Monday and Monday. I can't remember But we'll talk all about it next week Tyree Skipsen Don't know much about him Other than he's an R&B singer who was in the Fast and Furious movies Was arrested for failing to pay enough child support The judge handed him an opportunity to avoid jail time And he could pay $73,000 within 48 hours Didn't look into the story I just thought that was funny and I wanted to bring it up And I've seen Tyree Skipsen And he's been on podcasts and TV shows and stuff Crying a lot I don't know what's up with him. I have no idea. Baby boy. That's the only other movie I know He was in the announcement video With Dre and Dre's old Beats Apple. I remember that and he was like $4 billion And then they're like shut up. That's right. That's right. That's right. They're doing a new Carmen San Diego We're a chart for PC consoles And the Netflix single-player Puzzle Adventure game And I've written Netflix as games now But it's going to be based off the original game I know we played Oregon Trail back in the day You remember Carmen San Diego? My cousin used to have it I never had it I loved Carmen We're in time as Carmen San Diego That was my favorite, but yeah, I loved all that I used to watch the show, of course, on PBS I used to watch the TV show I didn't have a computer that can run the game though Back then, I don't believe when I aged out Inside out to Inside out to the highest grossing animated film of all time Coming out on Disney Plus Next, a couple weeks since September 25th So we're talking about doing a watch of that Disney Plus be perfect time since September 20th Probably around Christmas time We'll play on doing an inside-out one and inside-out two watch So look forward to that Speaking of popcorn buckets We talked about it all year long Started with a dune bucket Went with a Deadpool Wolverine bucket Now we have a Terrifier 3 Art the Cloud Bucket I think I need this for my Christmas decorations Yes, you fucking do You definitely do this This is a tabletop for sure Coming out on pre-order I believe online on the 18th of this month And it's Art the Cloud In a popcorn bucket with blood And everything else on it I also believe it may talk I'm not sure I believe there's a box where it can talk So Very interesting Announced today, Netflix is in talks To require the rights to stream live versions of hot ones I know that's a YouTube sensation And yeah, looking forward to I mean, I've seen a few of them on YouTube But it'd be great to see it on Netflix Easy to click through on TV You can get them on, they're on Hulu now Oh, they're on Hulu, that's cool Yeah Judd Apatow and Steven Spielberg Joining forces To do a coke versus Pepsi film Called Cola Wars Can we have some Sony Pictures? Um... Set in the 1980s It's going to include everything from Michael Jackson's New coke, Miss Ap when he burned himself With the Pepsi The new coke thing that happened in the 80s Talk about their Pepsi always being a second place To Invying for coke's number one Throughout the whole entire However long, 80 year Time that they've been fighting each other Um... Chet Hanks Just fucking guy Tom Hanks' son, not the good one The rapper one, the white rapper White Boy Summer Um, he has gone He went to the MTV VMA's Red Carpet and talks about How his next album Is going to be a country album [Laughter] Robbers and Meckets Had a long list of potentials For the Doc Brown character in Back to the Future We're skipping that story completely Because Chet Hanks Why he's the equivalent of Even though he's Tom Hanks' son He's an equivalent of a Kardashian At this point Robbers and Meckets has a long list Of potentials to play Doc Brown In Back to the Future in the 80s Um, and I have it right here There were some names on here That actually went out and played To play Doc Brown Um, and a lot of them did screen cat Did go screen test Including Gene Hackman Um, John Kleece Uh, Joe Piscopo Was at the time, of course, Saturday Night Live Um, Jeff Goldblum Um And the interesting name And the interesting name And the interesting name crossed off I think all the ones that crossed out Were all the ones that were not available Steve Martin Albert Brooks, Chevy Chase Um, of course, James Wood and Christopher Lloyd Both tested, Robert Klein tested Um, Danny DeVito Was another one that crossed off Um, John Candy Henry Winkler Eddie Murphy, Bill Cosby Um, all of those names were crossed off Randy Quaid tested Michael Keaton Also crossed off So, I mean, of course The role was iconic for Christopher Lloyd However, it's kind of interesting to see Who could have played that character Who could have played Doc Brown And the people that tested for that role That would have changed the movie significantly Um, the Harry Potter TV series Has an open casting call this week For three new leads Um, they're doing it more Not so whitewashed as the Harry Potter movies were They're going more diverse Um, I don't think they're Particularly looking for a black, or a Mexican, or a Spanish, or whatever, actress, or actor But they're opening up the casting call Rather than just whitewashing every role And it's ever, they were, of course, in the movies I don't think there were that many African-American African, not American-African Um, actors in those movies There was a couple, but Um, they're going to open up the casting auditions A lot more Going to this new iteration It's going to be on HBO Max, but Casting just started for that We'll see that in a couple years Orlando Bloom Spoke about Returning as Legolas For Andy Serkis' Lord of the Rings movies The Gallo movie And he said he would if it all worked so Um, so yeah We'll have to wait and see on that Big news this week in music Was Dave Grohl announced Dave Grohl is known to be like It's a big lovable rock star Everybody thought he could do wrong Until this Instagram post came out from him Saying that he cheated on his wife Had a, had a daughter out of wedlock And it completely turned everybody against him Well, I mean, it was his 18-year-old daughter's friend That is having the baby, so there's that I didn't hear that I didn't hear that, I don't know It's a friend of his daughter I had no idea I thought it was somebody that was on I had no idea I haven't read all that But, um, but yeah Dave, always, you can't judge a book by his cover You know, we always say that about celebrities Especially something like this You don't know what's going on behind Close doors Um Says dune 3, not likely a trilogy And will be his last dune movie Other directors could take over So he's not closing the door And the franchise completely Um, it will be his last though And it's not going to be just like An end of a trilogy That's what he's planning the movie to be I know dune messiah is the next book In the series, so You know what to see how that plays out Rest in peace to Peter Renade You don't know who that is But he's the lead He was the voice of actor Of a character in a tv show That we used to watch growing up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles He played splinter in the cartoon In the animated series Um, he was 89 years old and he died this week Rest in peace to him Rest in peace to Chad McQueen He was in karate kid I don't know who he is I know he's the son of Steve McQueen I know you know karate kid more than I do Um, he died this week I visited all the Marvel And Star Wars And DC news of the week Um, there's another death We're going to talk about at the end of the show Don't think we skipped it They're the big death this week We'll talk about it at the end But, um, Disney and Lucasfilm Are being sued for using Peter Cushing's Lightness in Rogue One Of course, if you remember Rogue One, he was used And he used to kind of Defake on him With Peter Cushing's face over him Playing him Playing Grimoff But, um, yeah, this, uh, production company That was supposed to do it Um, was run by one of Cushing's oldest friends Claimed they had a deal with him They gave the company a veto over The recreation of an image with special effects Intended for TV, film That was never made I guess they broke this, uh, packed Um, Disney tried to get the bid thrown out And, uh, but it was rejected by the judge And, uh, it whole shenanigans went on They did it anyway, so now they're suing Disney Um, the Cushing estate And whoever did the, uh, imaging So, um, yeah, I don't think it looked that good Anyway, but that's just me There was also the very beginning of Defake, slayer looked terrible in that too Yeah, you're right Um, you were Griggas says Says he really wants to play Obi-Wan again He did great in the Obi-Wan series I don't think he was a problem with that show I think everything in that show Had more to do with story rather than acting 'Cause between him and Hayden And the lightsaber battles and everything else happened in that show And the story was kind of crap But we also saw Lee, and we also saw, um, we also saw Qui-Gon come back too, so Um, overall good series Um, we'd like to see him come back as Obi-Wan I don't think they continue that series The right, the same way or not But we'd like to see that Um, Michael B. Jordan Said to direct and star in a Thomas Crown Affair Remake in Amazon Studios Um, this was after he'd already done Directed Creed 3 This is their follow-up to his follow-up to the studios for that Um, so yeah I know we like Michael B. Jordan He's one of the actors we both like So yeah, we'll see about that Um, Amazon has posted production Of Good Omen Season 3 A show I have not wanna watch I have watched, I do wanna watch Um, all because of Neil Gaiman Who created the comic book Due to sexual assault allegations That are currently going on I believe the story is an update Where he's actually said he's going to Completely leave the show In any production capacity So production can continue on the show Um, I don't know more about I don't know the allegations, I don't know anything else What had happened, or I haven't heard anything else But I know, I didn't see Some sexual allegations were happening Around Neil Gaiman But of course comic book creator Going around this week is Morb- Morbius star Jared Leto Was offered the role of Skeletor In the Masters of the Universe movie Of course, we always talk about Masters of the Universe It was one of those shows that went A little bit before us A little bit under our radar Came out mid-80s Um, we were more into the Ninja Turtles Ghostbusters Real Ghostbusters cartoon, more than He-Man But um, yeah, Jared Leto Offered the role of Skeletor Okay Agatha all along, we're gonna talk about that next week At least I will Uh, comes out next week Uh, we got brand new posters for Agatha all along I like the pack, I like the poster on the left with uh, with uh, what's our name? Uh, Aubrey Plaza But the show comes out next week Two episodes on the 18th Um, this is coming out at 9 p.m. Uh, I'm gonna be in a prime time show Um, and every episode, they're gonna be one episode up until Halloween They're gonna have another double episode on Halloween night, so Um, show 'em actually looking forward to a lot of practical effects Um, uh, of course I do, I did like Agatha I thought she was great in WandaVision, Katherine Hahn Um, let's see, I'll have to wait and see where the show goes It's the only other MCU thing we're getting this year, so Excited Uh, speaking of Marvel, Marvel's uh, uh, Marvel's vision show Has added Star Trek Picard's uh, Todd Stashwick As an assassin who was on the trail of vision Don't know much more about that Um, the only other thing we know is that Um, what's his name is returning his Ultron Um, other than that, we don't know anything else about the show We don't know when it's going in production Or how long it's gonna be until it comes out But, uh, we can see on that Spider-Man Noir cast Boardwalk Empire's Jack Hudson Houston Um, as a mysterious bodyguard role In the uh, TV series starring Nicholas Cage Uh, so, uh, Amazon Um, I know you watch Boardwalk Empire Is that the guy with the face mask? Yeah, he was also the original cast He was cast before the Moira and did the Crow And then the Moira took the role and then we got what he got Well, how been it? That was interesting I was a big fan of that cause I was actually watching Boardwalk He's like my favorite character on Boardwalk by far Um, he's like Fezzes and Euphoria He's fucking awesome Um, and I was watching it It was like during my watch of that show And they announced him as many casts and I was like fuck yeah I was so on board for that He's so good He's great on Boardwalk Yeah, it's one of those shows I definitely have to get into Boardwalk I've always wanted to get into Um, I know a lot of people love it I know you've recommended it to me a bunch of times Yeah Um, Sony reportedly scrapped the most of Beyond the Spider-Verse This has been debunked a couple of times by Chris Miller Um, he says all as well But um, we still don't know where this movie was We've got a movie last October Um, but Beyond the Spider-Verse is supposed to be the continuing of the story And the last story ended up in a big cliffhanger What's happening in the Spider-Verse Um, but likely The movie's getting pushed back further and further We're not sure when we're going to see the third one But um And uh, big news in Marvel this week Was that Spider-Man 4 has a new director Destin Daniel Craig Um, he's going to be coming in Leaving the Sean Chi franchise And coming in directing the fourth Spider-Man movie Um Now all of the talk that we talked about with Venom I could see him coming in and doing that Um, a lot of people want to see Sean Chi play a role in this movie I don't think that'll happen if Venom comes in Um I don't know, I don't know what Marvel's playing is Basically, I don't think anybody does Yeah At this point it's all speculation Daniel Kretten Destin Kretten Completely great director Shung Chi, an amazing movie Visually stunning action scene The action in Spider-Man is going to be fucking top notch That's why I was excited about wearing anything Um, it only top notch action anyways Yeah, and Tom Holland does a great job at Spider-Man Not only as the character of Peter Parker But just the action, he does a lot of his own stunts Yeah He does a lot of the flips and everything you see in the movie Is actually him So I mean, I'm excited Um Also, Chris McKenna and Eric Summers are returning to write the script for Spider-Man 4 They did Spider-Man Homecoming, Far From Home and No Way Home So that's kind of cool Um, and Joe Locke's Mystery MCU character Which has always been speculated to be Billy Maximov Um, the older kind of weird It's a hard story to get into I'm not going into it right now, but Um, Billy rumored that that character was announced In a trailer for the show I haven't seen it, I haven't seen it myself Um, I guess some subtitles gave up that his character's name is Billy Um, I noticed one of the big secrets they're trying to keep from this show Um, they haven't been having a hard time doing that Because Billy in the comic books is Wiccan Part of the new Avengers, or the younger Avengers Um, and he's a gay character in the comic books And I believe Joe Locke is openly gay as well He's talking about this character being openly gay and he's playing so Put two or two together, you kind of can guess he's Billy And they're slowly building the young Avengers anyway, so it makes sense that he... Makes perfect sense Put him in this, so yeah At this point, every show that was built up up until the Bob Eiger took over Era, um, has been made to build up the young Avengers And that's basically what this is as well This is one of the last things that was made before Bob Eiger took over the... The Reigns and told, uh, if I need to ring it in a little bit, but Um, what's happened in the commercial... All these played movie We have no idea We thought maybe this summer at Comic-Con, we would have found out what's happened in the commercialist movie We have no idea, we know this movie was announced two or three, four years ago No idea what's going on There's six years ago, 2018 is when it was announced We saw Wesley Snips play Blade Again, which we never thought we'd see again Did an amazing job, had an internet sensation Viral moment where Ryan Reynolds tells everybody, oh, we need to have him have his own Logan version of his own Swan song as well, so Fans speculation is what the fuck's happening with the commercial as Blade Is that, and of course we know all the history of that movie Directors leaving, actresses leaving, actors leaving Commercial is staying on for some reason I mean, it's supposed to be a passion for him just to get it done But, um, do you think we'll see a multiverse version of this with Wesley Kinda handing off the reins to Marshall, I can't see that I would love to see him working together I don't know if we'll see something like that in that movie, but I would love to see him working Yeah, no idea, this movie The rumor is that one of these movies is going to be, one of these things is going to be cancelled Either Blade, or Armor Wars, which is another thing that was announced in 2018 I believe, that we haven't heard anything about Um, and we knew it was going to be the story of Pretty much the Iron Man tech going up to like AIM and everybody else And, Rodey, Rodey is going to go after After all these people, companies and try to keep the Iron Man tech intact Keep the Tony Stark and legacy intact But, we don't know anything else about that We haven't heard anything else about that It's supposed to be a TV show, then it's a movie So we don't know, but Um, getting into the DC news of the week, Penguin comes out next week too At the end of the week, and we have some brand new shots of a fake Gotham Gazette With Penguin on the front cover I know you're excited about that AIM too The reviews are very good The reviews, except for IGN, give it a shitty review today The writer review said it was mesmerizing crime trauma that moves beyond Batman Here, there's a lot of Batman characters and villains that are debuting in this So that's exciting It's not that probably we wouldn't have seen in the movies Um, maybe, maybe like Calendar Man That would be great to see somebody like Calendar Man Um, also, I don't think I had it in the notes, but the big thing this week is speculation that it's only going to be set in the wintertime I believe Matt Reeves may have even confirmed He said, he said the Penguin picks up the moment the Batman ends And he confirmed that, um, and this show will end around Um, the New Year, so the Batman Part 2 is going to become where this ends So it sounds like it's going to be another winter one And if he gets quick Fraser back as a cinematographer, that's going to look fucking amazing So, first one, I saw this earlier First one, all red, imagery was all red Yeah, second one, her in winter, imagery, all blue Missed titles, everything, fucking Mr. Freeze, dude Mr. Freeze, and everybody wants to see it I want to see Mr. Freeze, however, how are you going to do that in a grounded reality-based Batman movie? I don't know I know he wants to stay away from the supernatural, yeah, I think he could too I mean, you would just have to use modern tech versus whatever they use in the comics Um, but it wouldn't be, it wouldn't be too outlandish And he also would say he wants to have the villain, um, or he wants there to be a lot of heart in the story And Mr. Freeze is a lot of heart in the story, yeah That, you know, you talk about heart The very first episode of Batman in the animated series is probably one of the best written TV shows or anything for comic books It's all about Mr. Freeze and his wife being frozen And the whole entire story is amazing Um, has not, well, I won't say has been played out because it didn't be played out and it did get played out in Batman and Robin But we don't talk about that movie because Arnold Schwarzenegger doing a shitty job And there is so much potential of the Mr. Freeze story that could happen on the screen Yes, man, come with Stay cool Chill It's going to be a core title in Gotham tonight Yeah, no, we don't want that, we want, we want Matt Reeves If they're just going to do this with a blue imagery and Mr. Freeze, Mr. Freeze coming in, we want to see a great actor coming in Playing Victor Freeze And yeah, it's all about love, all about his wife and why he's doing everything It'd be exciting Peacemaker season two arrives in the second half of 2025 This was announced this week by James Gunn So yeah, it's going to be right after Superman, of course Superman comes out July 11th So during the second half, probably, I would say, probably around this time, maybe October or November Yeah Ellie Milcock, is that her name, right? Millie Alcock, whatever? Millie Alcock, yeah She went to, I believe the US Open, or one of those, or somewhere, some game, I don't know With all blonde hair She's already getting ready for Supergirl I'm excited for that movie, I cannot wait I don't know why, don't look at the picture James Brullen rejected the role of Hal Jordan in the DCU Yeah, so we don't know who's going to play that I know you're kind of against that last week when we're talking about it I'd like Tim of the Olafans an interesting choice, if they're an older I like him or what's his name from Wonder Woman, Chris Pine Chris Pine But that's also very familiar for him, so I think Olafan would be a very interesting choice Yeah, it's going to be, from what I hear, it's going to be like a Police drama kind of, but with lanterns, is what I'm hearing With the grisled, with the grisled, right, with the truer detective That's, I think, my Matthew McConaughey was attached to it So it's going to be like a grisled detective, trying to teach an underling who would be John Stewart's lantern, so Yeah, it's finally a news, kind of prematurely announced it, but rest in peace to James Earl Jones Of course for us Star Wars Darth Vader, Iconic, The Voice But so many other things Laya King Mufasa, then the other big thing Field of Dreams, I just watched that movie last year, he was great, had a great dialogue in that movie He was in Sandlot, he was in Coming to America, playing the King, he had amazing in that movie 93 years old, we knew he was in decline, we knew he signed up all of his rights to do the AI for his voice for Star Wars Perpetuitally after he passed, so we knew he was getting close And it's really too bad, he did pass, our childhood died off this week Not only his past Obviously not only Star Wars, but he got Sandlot, you got Sandlot, like you said, Field of Dreams for me, Lion King So yeah, it was sad Very sad, George Lucas released a statement James was an incredible actor, a most unique voice both in art and spirit for nearly half a century, he was Darth Vader But the secret to it all is he was beautiful, he was a beautiful human being He gave death, sincerity, and meaning to all of his roles, amongst the most important being a devoted husband To the late CC, his wife, and Dad to Flynn James will be missed by so many of us, friends and fans alike Very very appointed for George to say that Rest in peace to James Earl Jones, definitely a sci-fi legend Actor legend, acting legend Go back and watch some clips, I have a funny one, if you want to watch something funny, go on And watch Late Night with David Letterman, when James Earl Jones does the top 10 list in the 90s At the very end, of course, if you've seen the Budweiser commercials back in the Super Bowl, the Wyza commercial James Earl Jones does a great impression of that in the top 10 So watch that, it's on YouTube That is it for our show this week, thank you everyone Next week, Rings of Power, Episode 6, I'm going to talk about that, Episode 4 only murders in the building Football movies next week, third week we're going to talk about Bryan's song, a movie I've never seen before I know it's up on top of a lot of people's not only football movies, but drama lists I'm also going to talk about Agatha all along, premieres on Wednesday The Penguin premieres on Thursday, twilight of the Gods on Netflix, the Sex Net or Thor show, it just debuts Did you see? They're not allowing reviews until 1201 You're kidding, you're not allowed to pump reviews until, so we know what happens when that usually, that's usually a bad sign Oh, speaking of that, we're going to start our crow watch, because the crow had the same problem I'm not sure what I'm going to watch this weekend Maybe I'll, you know what, let's watch, let's talk about the original crow movie next week Okay And we're going to slowly build to the new crow movie Because I know there's four movies that came out after the first crow had written in Lee Yes, and then the remake, and there was a TV show, but I'm not going to bother with that No, no, no, let's do the slow build, and by the end it'd be what Halloween-ish, we'll get into the new crow remake But next week, let's talk about Brendan Lee's The Crow, and the whole story of that movie Of course, the big thing being the death of Brendan Lee, we'll talk all about that, and how great that movie is The inspiration for the Joker, he's ledgers Joker, and a lot of scenes play out play by play Seen by scene play identical in The Dark Knight to what Brendan Lee did in The Crow, we're going to talk all about that We'll get into the comic book next month, because we're also going to be talking about Long Halloween that's still coming up Yep But in a couple weeks, Mr. and Man documentary, the one thing I'm looking forward to, I'm saving my time this week That's why I'm going to stick it with just the crow, because I've been watching a lot of shit I watched Euphoria eight alien movies all within two weeks, and I am spent Yeah, so we're going to keep it to one movie this next week, and all the TV shows and everything else Three weeks watching Friday Night Lights, I just finished that show last night, so now I have some free time to watch some But yeah, I definitely can do The Crow, I'll watch that again I think I've watched it once You haven't seen it in 4K, and it's fucking fantastic in 4K I watch it like three times this summer, just waiting for the new movie, so it looks great, because of the 4K came up this summer, it's fantastic Yep, we'll talk all about that next week, so thank you everyone, and we will see you then!
