Here’s the Challenge
There's a challenging verse in the book of Jonah I want to look at with you. Jonah 2 verse 10, so the Lord spoke to the fish and had vomited Jonah onto dry land. Three days inside a large fish, it smelled terrible, felt terrible. The mental anguish would have been awful. The sort of experience that could cause PTSD, but God delivered Jonah. He spoke to the fish and Jonah was free. Now here's the challenge. Why didn't God speak to the driver who pulled out in front of that motorcyclist? Why didn't God speak to grandpa's aorta before the aneurysm? Why didn't God speak to your son's employer before he was laid off? The answer is, I don't know. In fact, God may have intervened and been ignored. There are sometimes you're delivered, you've experienced that, and sometimes you're not. The key is that at all times, you trust in God.
