How's everyone doing on this find two's evening? This is evening morning shade podcast, James Shinkle, your speaker. James Shinkle Senior, that is. I want to talk to you all just a little bit to see, but you know, introductory. As I was developing the podcast, I had come I said every fourth week. We just happened to be the fourth Tuesday of since I began the podcast about about the theme about when dreams come true, the healing of America's open moon. And this happens to be the fourth week. So for in honor of that, I want to take you all to a scripture. Uh, this evening from the 11th number of Psalms and I encourage everyone to read the book of Psalms to say something about the book and Psalms that's just so rewarding. I'm just, and I encourage you to read a Psalm a day. She does 150 Psalms. And if you read one Psalm a day, basically you get through the book of Psalms twice in a year. Now, some of the Psalms are so long that you have like 119 number of songs, you have to break it up and then maybe three st stands is at a time. And some of the other Psalms are fairly long. So basically it comes to about twice a year. But if you read the book of Psalms, I'm quite sure you'll get an risk so much by it. So if we would go to the 11th chapter of Psalms, if you would, I'm going to read down and begin at the first verse, let's pray. Father, we're going to be right now. And I'm going to be a word that your word is just what it is. Your word is sanctified and it's holy and it's inspired by you. Lord God, it's not our thoughts, Lord God, and we as believers, Lord God, those who know you for the part of those sins, we take every word we want to digest and take every single word, Lord God, every kernel, every chrome, Lord God, because we realize it's for the uplifting of our face and the shaping of our characters. In Jesus name, we pray and believe amen and amen. Some of the 11th chapter of Psalms, I'm going to believe I'm going to read down the first number three and read this follow. I'm reading now the New American Standard version of the Bible, which I believe is one of the top five translations that a Christian should choose. In the Lord, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, flee as a bird to your mountain? For behold, the wicked bend the bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string to shoot darkness and the upright and heart. Now listen to this third verse, because this third verse is what we want to keep down and we want to crack open this nut, because this is what we need to get tonight when we're talking about, we're talking about the healing of a nation. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? It's a pretty good question, is it? If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Now, I want to take you to the expository look at this 11th Psalm. And we understand this that David is the writer, a man after God's own heart. And he learned to his entire life and his walk with the Lord that even though he was a shepherd at one time, even though he was a military man, even though he was a politician and even though he was a king, he didn't take accolades, he didn't take refuge in any of those things. He took refuge in the Lord. And you and I as a believer, now we may say we do. We may say and sometimes that we do say that, but that doesn't mean that we do it. So I want to encourage you tonight to, whatever you're going through in life to take, take that's your refuge. That is your refuge because your refugee is going to, is going to depend on how you look at your foundation. And then we go and I says, how do you say to my soul, please is a bird to the mountain. Okay. Because it's just a natural instinct of a bird when a bird feels threatened. They go to higher grounds and it's just like us when human, as human beings, not alone as a safe person, but just as a human being. Okay. At the end of the day, we tried to preserve our own life, security for ourselves. And as a believer, you know, we, you know, God has put us in a position. We cannot act like the world. Uh, we, we cannot give up the right for the wrong, you know, we, we, we, we go by the rules that sets forth and the word of God. We cannot, uh, get even, we're told to pray for our enemies, pray for those that wrong for the misusers. Okay. So, so that being the case, we have to flee to that refuge. We're just talking about in the first one, we have to flee to that because you know what? At the end of the day, no matter what we say, you know what they're saying is, uh, men don't cry, but I got to tell you men do cry brothers men do cry. Okay. Cause sometimes the things in life can just be so overwhelming that really there are no answers. Uh, sometimes you're going to be standing alone. You make decisions and you're going to be standing on your loan and you have all near sayers that oppose everything you say and say, I would do it differently. But that is pretty much the plight of a Christian. Cause sometimes as a Christian, you are going to stand on your loan. And when you do that, we can take refuge in the same identity, the Lord, God, that, that, that, that, that David did, because we know in verse number three tells us, but the wicked bend the bow to make ready the arrow upon the string to shoot the darkness, the upright and heart, repeat again, because, uh, we are in the world, the way that the world is. Okay. We cannot conduct ourselves the way we cannot get even. Okay. Uh, we, we, we march to the beat of a different drummer and because that's the case. Okay. We need a refuge. Okay. And what we're doing building this case before, and that is just absolutely about, about not neglecting the foundation. You can do a lot of things in life, y'all, and you can do a lot of good things. You can do a lot of right things. You can do a lot of popular things. You can do a lot of exciting things. You can be accomplished and they're good things. Okay. But if they're not built on the right foundation, no matter how they look, they're not going to last. And Jesus gave us the illustration and really Matthew Mark Andrew. He told us about a man that built his house on two different foundations. The one man built an identical house. Both, both foundations were identical as far as the house code. Okay. They looked just as good. It was just as costly. It was just as much putting into them. But one foundation was built on rock that you cannot, you could not see the rocks, see, okay, and one foundation was built on the sand and the test came. Okay. When the scripture tells us that when the rains came and the floods came, okay, in the winds blue, okay, the house that we built on sand crumbled and the same house, kind of house that when the rains came and the floods came and the winds blew, okay, because it was built on a rock, on a solid foundation, it was still it. Now, when we're talking about the rain, obviously the rains and the floods, okay, and the winds certainly take, bring us, bring us to the, we know as Christians, you're going to have trials and tribulations in life. There's no question you're going to have them. And yes, that's true. Okay. And that's, and the, and the, and the wind and the floods and the, okay, are going to bring in just saying that we call faith. That's how your faith is tested by DC, but also, okay, it's by, it's by the rains in the storm of this thing we call doc. She's in the seventh, seventh chapter of Matthew. Jesus is teaching, teaching the believers and the people that will come around him, okay, that, that people had to own his word. See, when the, when the, when the, uh, reformation began, listen, 600 years ago, people were not interested in what is the best translation like we are today. And certainly we have better translations, you know, than it did and say in early 1600s, no question we do. Okay. But they were interested in what did God say? And my brothers and sisters, we should be interested in what does God say? We live in a time that even within the church, the, I'm talking about the old one of the majority of Christian people are not. Taking up by this thing that we call doctrine, they, they, and this comes from the world and from Satan, okay, that doctrine is not important. But you know what? If you're going to have a solid foundation, y'all hear me? If you're going to have a sound, a solid foundation is going to last the, the test of time, you got to have a foundation built on Jesus Christ. So when we go into this thing that we're talking about today, about, uh, the, the healing of the wound in America, okay? Okay. Well, we have to do it like I, without repeating myself, I believe that I said on the first night that I opened up this podcast, that, that, uh, when something has not worked, okay, you, you do something else. And my brothers and my sisters, God, I believe with all my heart that God has a solution for the thing that we've, we've neglected. We've never had the answer over, over the last 400 years. And that is from the word of God. And the first thing we got to learn is this thing we call, we call the foundation. Now, and there's 11 song, uh, David is a speaker and he, under the inspiration of Holy Spirit, he's, he's telling us that this is what we got to take refuge in. Uh, uh, you can't take refuge in the fact that you're having trials and tribulations that people are against you on all sides that sometimes you overwhelmed and sometimes people will not agree with you. We do not take refuge in those things because those things are going to come regardless, those saying, okay, we have to understand that they're coming, okay? And they sometimes they might be relentless. Okay. That's what happens when the winds roll. That's what happens when the storm comes. That's what happened when the floods arrive. That's what happened when the rains come. And sometimes it's wave after wave after wave. Okay. And if, if our foundation of our faith as believers, okay, is not strong, if it's not based on that right thing, we might listen, we might do a, we might go to church every Sunday. And we might say, thank you, Jesus. And we might praise the Lord and we might say God is good. He sure is all the time. We might do all of these things and we might have, we might have committees and we might have programs. Okay. And we might do a lot of things in, in the community. They're good things. These are all good things, but it's not going to accomplish anything in the long run, because the foundation and you, and just come down to our life. Okay. As I'm getting ready to close, I did not necessarily intend how long this podcast was going to be, because I didn't really know for the purpose. I'm still kind of feeling my way through this, but we need to understand this how as a believer, you're all up there in Christ. Okay. Okay. Make sure that your foundation, that you're built on the right thing. Jesus wants, let us know that any, any faith, any religion that is not built on a personal relationship with him is bound to fail. Okay. Let's pray. Father, I just thank you tonight without your word, which, for you, I don't know what I would do without your word. And that's not, you might take your word through the airwaves, through the medium that you've, you may, and we thank you for that, Lord God, to technology that you have ordained before the foundation of the world, that you knew this technology was coming down the line, that we, we, and we thank you for that, that we could use the modern use of technology that reached people all over the world. They 200 years ago, we couldn't even dream of, but you know, when we do this, when our foundation is built on the right thing, you know, our dream certainly may come true. May God bless you.
