I'm not sure I'm buying this bit about Connor and MacDavid having a phobia about ketchup. His wife makes the claim in a new NHL documentary that is intended to pump up fans for the season. But if it is true, then I'm curious. Is it just ketchup that MacDavid is freaked out by? What about ketchup chips? Is he afraid of them too? Or what about other red sauces like marinara? Also, about Connor's dressing room tantrum that has people talking. A lot are praising it as the kind of emotion needed to win, and an example of passionate leadership. But leaders don't be right other teammates. They start by taking responsibility for their own performance. If you watch the video, the other players are actually ignoring Connor as he melts down. Listen, MacDavid is the best player in the world right now. But when it comes to being an aspiring leader, you know, like Mark Messier, clearly Connor has a ways to catch up. I'm Murray Wood.
