will all of your time. Oh, welcome in latest episode of that SEC podcast. I'm yours, Michael Breton. I go by SCC Mike on Twitter and there he is the biggest Tennessee Homer loser in the land, cousin Shane. How's it going, brother? Hey, buddy, what's going on? Oh, man, we just had to have wildest week of SCC football. I think since we've had this damn show. You know what Mike, I'll tell you what. I know I did not come out the victor in this situation, but removing the Homerism from it all Mike, it was a wild and awesome weekend. Like you said, there will be I mean, it's it's tough enough to get a wild upset, but to get multiple over and over. I'm talking like monumental upsets. People storm in the field. I mean, how many times you see that on a Saturday? So absolutely awesome, awesome football. And I'm just a glad we're part of it. Right. And like I said, we've got an absolutely loaded show. So we got, we got to just jump right into this bad boy shit. We got clips and dead on all this stuff. But before we get to it, we got a reminder folks, we're only, we're only here. Thanks for our good buddies over there at my bookie. Head on over to my bookie today, the online sports book and sign up for an account. It's absolutely free if you don't want to pay. But if you do put in that promo code, that S E C. That's T H A's. Oh, he's excited. You freeze to found me shade. Anyway, the promo code that S E C T H A T S E C over at my bookie, the online sports book and they'll double your initial deposit. And I wish folks would have doubled their deposit Shane after after fading our picks this weekend. You know what? Mike, it's pretty simple. I mean, the recipes out there, just whatever Shane says, do the absolute opposite, you know? So I thought maybe for a moment that I would be back, but clearly I am terrible at gambling. So take advantage of it. However, I've got people out there begging me, Mike, begging me to not ever pick their team. I got probably four or five that are that that say, Shane, please, for the love of God, do not involve air football team. Right. Well, if that's the one thing I got was my lock, but I ain't bragging because I've missed Dave near every other game. Shane, let's get, let's get all with it here. The day of biggest upset I've ever seen in my life here, among S E C S E C team shape Vanderbilt does the, I mean, all off season, Shay, we said, conveyor belt, win a conference, a game. That's what we said. A conference game. That would be a step in the right direction. Damn, they, they took down number one, Shane 40 to 35 over mighty Alabama coming off a game of the year. And my thoughts, Shane, I mean, Vanderbilt had absolutely no fear of Alabama in this football game for anybody that missed it. Again, they never trailed in this football game. Shane, meanwhile, Alabama looked kind of out of sorts and they did throw a pick six early in a football game. So that that's going to kill you. But my main takeaway, Shane, I think the, I think the mystique is gone. I'm not saying Alabama's in the toilet. I'm not saying they won't make the college football playoff. They, they very likely will. They could win the whole damn thing. But after seeing Vanderbilt, again, this was not a fluke. This was not like five turnovers or Vanderbilt did something that, that no way Alabama could be prepared for. Right. They just ran their system. They milk the clock. How about this time of possession, Shane, time of possession, favored Vanderbilt, 42 minutes and eight seconds to Alabama, 17 minutes, 52 seconds and rushing. Shane, again, we highlighted it, but you got to go a step further. Not only did Vanderbilt lead the rushing 166 to 84. Here's where they, they won the game, Shane, 54 rush attempts for Vanderbilt, only 21 for Alabama. Cause hell, Alabama didn't possess football. And anytime Vanderbilt needed to pick up a big you know, a long third down, they were managed to do it. So this was just, if you had never watched college football in your life, Shane, and I sat you down and we watched his Vanderbilt Alabama game. I would have said, who's the number one team in the country? You would have pointed and said that team in the black because they look like the better team. They were O and 60 all time Shane against top five competition. Now they're one in 60 and it came over the double one deep in the country. How about it? Unreal man. It's unreal. I mean, I could put words to it. I mean, I honestly, I kept saying to myself, all right, this is, this was cool. You know, I think I even saw in the ESPN commentator say, well, this is cute. And then they showed an Alabama touchdown. It's just no one expected this. And then as you're watching this football game, you're like, well, by the third quarter, Alabama's going to take this thing over by the fourth quarter, Bama's going to figure this out. And then there's that moment you're watching is like, Holy shit, Vanderbilt's going to do this. You know, they're going to pull off the greatest upset that you've ever seen your entire life point to another one. Mike, this is a team that when they came into the season was projected to win 2.5 games this season. You know, 2.5 wasn't that it wasn't that the over under. So I mean, we were, we were making an argument whether they were going to get past Georgia State, which they lost it. If I told you, Mike, that this football team lost to Georgia State, but they're going to take mazoo to overtime and they're going to beat Alabama Crimson Tide. You would have called me absolutely nuts. And, and I tell you, brother, kudos hats off. Like you said, time of possession, you, that's, that's how you do it. You keep the ball out of Jaylin's hands. You know, every time they had, you talk about time possession, every drive that Alabama had averaged about 90 seconds. That's all they took off the clock. And then all of a sudden for, you know, Vanderbilt just lived out there. So kudos. My hats tipped man. I can't say it enough. I, I couldn't be more proud of those common doors. I watched that, the goalpost go all the way downtown. I saw the fire department fishing it out of the Cumberland. Well deserved. And I hope that they're going to cut them little things out and try to pay up that $100,000 they owe. Well, Shane, I didn't even realize it till you said it. But yeah, Vanderbilt hit the over because of this one, because of beat down Alabama. But who in the world could have ever seen that cup and Shane? Again, I, I thought Vanderbilt, I was pretty confident. I was pretty confident they would cover the spread. The spread was like 24 points. Yeah. And it had more to do with Alabama playing that wild game last week. But again, had you told me Alabama won this by 50, I would have been not even surprised. You know what I mean? So that that's what we're used to getting. And so again, yes, all the kudos from the, well, I guess let's give them a little bit more kudos here. Shane, Diego Pavia, SEC offensive player of the week. He'll put him in the eyes, man Shane. He's the first player in FBS with two passing touchdowns and an 80% completion percentage. I guess a number one team since do you know who do you have any idea? It was an SEC guy. And I even give you a hint. He's played for South Carolina. No, I have no idea. Stephen Garcia, remember when they knocked off Alabama? So he's the first one to do it since then. I mean, what, what, if you haven't seen this damn guy play, you, you're missing out because he is just dynamic hit. I had no idea his, his like idol was Johnny Manziel. That's, that's what we kind of plays like. He's, he doesn't have the speed of Johnny Manziel. But I mean, we're, we're sitting here were fourth and one. And he's throwing a 36 yard touchdown bomb. I mean, that's what Diego Pavia, he brings a confidence to Vanderbilt that they've literally not had my entire lifetime. I think even, even the James Franklin era, when they were winning, what they do nine games back to back. Again, I don't want to call that a fluke, but the whole SEC East was down. And, and they, they just didn't have the confidence that they have now with this Diego Pavia. I mean, I'm blown away. I'll tell you what, if this, that shouldn't happen to be a shirt. This is your first time seeing Diego Pavia. It's too late because he's probably smoking your ass right now, because again, he is the heart and soul that football team. And I talked about this when we had there are a little emergency podcast that that's what I think of Heisman. When I think about Heisman, I think of an absolute unit that takes care of the whole football team. You remove him from this situation. They're getting blown out by Bama. They're getting blown out by Mizzou. But because Diego Pavia is on that football team, they're in these games and winning these football games. So absolutely should be a Heisman contender. And I'm giving Clark Lee, SEC coach, although this was a hard one this week, shape, because there's so many honors could have went to so many different guys, but Clark Lee, all the hard work he's put in. I think you said it very well on the, on the emergency show. I mean, hell, this is a guy many had pegged to get fired this year. You know what I mean? Yeah. He's sitting here. He just knocked off number one in a country. They look well on their way to the bowl and it ain't done just yet Shane. Tim Beck, SEC offensive coordinator of the week. This is the, he's the mastermind behind this offense. He was Diego Pavia's offensive coordinator at New Mexico State now, obviously in Vanderbilt. But my God, Shane, with it, you know, with the shovel passes with the misdirection. Again, there's, there's not a single day in player. Diego Pavia included that Alabama would take over, over one of their own. Yeah, they would not switch any of them. Yet all these five stars, all these studs were completely clueless on defense because of Diego Pavia, Tim Beck, and he's Vanderbilt commoners running circles around them. And again, this, again, this was not a fluke. This was like third and seven. They game nine. Yeah. It was just all day long. They couldn't stop them, Shane. And, and when Caleb de Bort kicked off, you know, it's very easy to sit here in, you know, hindsight's 20, 20 and all that. But when he kicked off, I was saying, what in the hell's he doing? They, they have not stopped Vanderbilt all day. And they didn't, they didn't even come close. I don't even think he got the third down. I mean, they were getting first downs on first, second down. Yeah, no, there was nothing. And I wanted to ask you, Mike, because it's been bothering me, you know, coming into this, this, this game, actually these football games that were, that were diving into, I felt like there was some impostors among us, man. I felt like there was, what was the word that kept floating around fraud frauds? Yes. And I wanted to ask you, Mike, on a scale of one to 10, I'm going to say pretender and contender. Talking about teams that can potentially make a college football playoff. If one is an absolute pretender and 10 is an absolute contender, where would you have Alabama right now on, and again, it's early, but it's, it's October 6th. If we're talking about college football playoff teams, would you have them on a, on a scale of one to 10? Where would you have them? As a fraud? Yeah. So one being an absolute fraud, 10 being like they're going to pencil then for the college football playoff, only a three, very, very low. And I'll tell you this, I don't subscribe to any of this, Shane. Yeah. I'm the biggest SEC Homer out there. Yeah. D SEC doesn't suck. This is, this is what it's like when you don't have a bunch of damn, Minnesota's, Purdue's, you know, garbage Rutgers. I don't, I think Rutgers actually has a good record, but you know, garbage ass teams. Yeah. This, this is what it looks like when a talent is dispersed. Yeah. And there's money down here. There's got, we got coaching down here. Again, we're just praising Tim Beck and the phenomenal coaching job. This, this is not a fluke. They've been doing, this is a team that beat Virginia Tech. They were a two touchdown underdog. Yeah. In the opener. And I think there's only one, I've been calling dog shit. I probably should be nicer because they're so bad, but Mississippi State is the only exception to this. I mean, they're just, they're just awful. And that, that has mostly to do with, it's a complete rebuild, new coaches, new players, everything. Yeah. Even Florida, which I don't think is very good. And I have them as the 15th team. I think they could surprise a team or two. So again, those two are in a category of their own. Yeah. But one through 14, I, I don't know that there's a massive difference. And we just, we just had this conversation with Georgia. Well, like, you know, we were thinking, it was Georgia and everybody else. Yeah. Georgia's right there with the pack. We'll get to their game here in a minute, but no, I, I, we'll get to Tennessee loser. I mean, I, I think this is just par for the course. And I love it. Texas fans, man. They're, they're all by God. They're the only undefeated SEC. We be Mississippi State. Yeah. We were the best team in the, they're gonna lose. They're gonna probably lose multiple game chain. And it's not a slight on them. It's just the strength of the conference. And if you think you're untouchable from this, just look around, man, because, because of all these teams are dropping, you know what? Boy, I tell you what, Texas LSU are very excited they missed this weekend, didn't they? Well, it just, just to, to clarify on the fraud alert, what I was talking about, anything less than a five, you don't see them making a playoff right now. So, so I thought 10 was absolute fraud. No, no, I'm saying, and with one being not a fraud at all, I'm saying three. Okay. So, so that'd be like a seven that they are contenders. So we got pretenders on the left side, zero contenders on the right side, 10, you'd have them about the seven number. Right. Right. Yes. We're doing it backwards. Yeah. But yeah. Yeah. You guys, everybody's seeing a behind the scenes and what this show is. Well, I meant to tell you about it earlier, because it really has been weighing on me, because I think they're a little bit lower. I think they're right now about a six. And, and I just, I'm doing this off the two football games. Yeah. Alabama's got a lot of tread on the tire. They got a lot of season left in them. But the season doesn't get easier. You know, it doesn't like, it's getting tougher. You know what I'm saying? Here's the problem, Shane. Is the defense. Yeah. The defense, again, they got, they got out, they got out physical. They got out man. They got out tough. They lost their edge. I don't, did you see the clips of Malachi more after this? Yes. I feel like a two year old. And before that, they've tried to take him out. He's, he said, I ain't going out. He waved the guy literally replaced him. He kicked his ass to the sideline, said, I ain't coming out of this game. Now he's kicking a football. I mean, it, it seems like a, I don't want to say the coach has lost the team. I mean, hell, they just beat George two weeks ago. Right. But I mean, this is the transition from the greatest of all time to a guy. People were stupid enough to say, Kayla, the board was an upgrade. Nick Saban was holding them back. You know what? I mean, that was something people were legitimately saying last week when, yeah, I mean, Kayla, the board, we said it. This will be said a million times. Nick Saban would have never lost that damn game. No, you know what? No, he wouldn't have. Five and I would get his major bill. But speaking of, do you think he's happy? Do you think he's happy deep down inside that his legacy's not getting, and you don't have to deal with that? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I know. Yes. But real quick, Shane, speaking of Nick Saban, I just want to play this because Vanderbilt has been having a good time and more power to them. They've heard every bit of it, Shane. But the only place you play in the SEC that's not hard to play is Vanderbilt. Oh, and they were playing that on repeat after they knocked off Alabama. How great was that? That's what I love on the Jumbo Tron out there. You know, Vanderbilt doesn't get to have a lot of fun. You know what I'm saying? So again, I know I'm saying this because I'm not a Bama fan. You know, I know Bama fans are pissed off and they're probably caught, they can't wait to call it in the Paul Finebaum tomorrow. But, but I'm telling you right now, this was big for that university. And like you said, majority of the fans at that football game were not Commodore fans. They were they were Todd fans. And they had trouble getting rid of all their tickets. So they gave it to Alabama and it's sad. But now you're starting to see a little bit of spark, a little bit of fire and maybe it's just enough to get this city involved and some fans out there because they're missing a hell of a run if they don't get out there and watch his team play. Right. And let's get it over. We haven't, I don't think we featured Clark Lee this season. There's not really been a reason to. But after the game, he got emotional after this one shamed after his biggest win ever as Vanderbilt head coach. That's what a win looks like. It's a team win. That's what our program is. And we have everything we need here to replicate that. You know, we were a more disciplined team tonight. We cleaned up the penalties. I was proud of that. Hopefully, there's a great lesson for us to pull forward for not. And, you know, we need to celebrate this and enjoy it and savor the moment. And then in 12 hours, we need to turn the page and focus on Kentucky. And that's what we'll do. This isn't an arrival for our program. It's it's it's a beginning in some ways. But do you feel like this is a breakthrough moment for us? But it only matters. It only matters in terms of the climb we're on in the journey. If we turn and get right back into our process. So, again, obviously, you know how much this means to me. I love our university. I love our city. I love our program. This is why I came back. It's meant to be emotional because, again, I've bled a lot into this and it's just feels great to to be able to celebrate with the team that I love and care about. And I look forward to doing that more in the future. So, with that, I'm happy. So, hey, good for Clark Lee, Shane. He's one of these one of the very few, I think, that that truly does love where he's at and has no desire to to up and leave if a better offer came tomorrow. You know what? No, no, no. This is this like in his mind, he had a he had a perfect picture of how his career would go. And he's right on track where it should be and knocking off number one, Alabama. I'm sure that was in his wildest dreams. But man, it came to fruition. I saw they're already starting to flip some recruits and stuff like that. But that's how it is, man. You capitalize on the momentum, you know, Nate, the comedian on Saturday Night Live, you know, game of shout out. So, it's like just these little things Vanderbilt hasn't had. So, it's pretty cool to watch it happen. Now, is this maybe too bold, Shane, but but the last thing I got on this one, unless you got anything else, if Alabama, I'm going to throw up her schedule, if Alabama does not make the college football playoff, which I still think they will. Yeah. I think they're still there. I think they'll be favored in every damn game. It could be wrong, but I think that they were favored in this one. It didn't really matter. But point being, I think they'll still they'll probably win 10 games or something like that, but at not at worst, I think nine, if they fail to make the playoff, I think Kalin Abor is gone, maybe not immediately, certainly not immediately, but in a year or two. Yeah. And I think we'll look back at this day as the day he lost it, you know, the beginning of the end. Would you agree with that? Say it's tough, Mike. Again, they're doing well in the recruiting, you know, I don't want to take a sheet off Hugh Freeze here, but you know, I mean, well, I'm pretty sure they got better players with Vanderbilt. They just got their ass. I know, I know. Again, I think it's going to take multiple bad seasons for a way to start warm up the seat. I think they've they're all in on DeBor. So it's going to take a couple more losses and a couple misplay offs there. This may be the start of those dominoes as you as you say, but yeah, DeBor will not be on the hot seat till year three at the end of year three. Okay. Okay, we'll see. We'll see about that. You want to fire everybody down in Alabama. All right. How about this one, Shay? We put it off. Arkansas 19 Tennessee 14 never in my life. Shane that I think Tennessee will only score 14 points in a conference game like this. Unless they had nine quarterbacks injured or something. But quite frankly, Shane Arkansas dominated the entire first half, should have been up by a significantly more Tennessee. I thought dominated the third quarter and then Arkansas won the fourth quarter out score Tennessee nine to zero. That was obviously the difference in the game. And I don't know about you, but just, you know, after watching all these Arkansas games, you just, you're kind of just waiting for them to screw up. Yeah. And it never happened. You know, they lose games like this all the time, but credit to them. It was not a pretty game. No, we got the Arkansas Drive chart. I mean, it's not it's a mix of hell. They had more three and outs and touchdown drives, but hell, they got it done. Same deal with Tennessee. I mean, they had a bunch of three and outs and this is the most punts I've ever seen for a Josh Hypel team. It was it was downright pathetic, really, but a difference in the game. Shane Tennessee had one pass play over 18 yards and that was a 42 yard prayer at the end of the game that that only knew how they completed that. Meanwhile, Arkansas had 10 pass plays of 15 or more yards. So they were very effective down there and shout out. I've never done, I've never split the coordinator of the week of work, but I got to, I got to do it here. Shane, give me SCC defensive coordinator of the week, Travis Williams after the game that come out and said, you know, they have never given the three, three, five look, they practiced it all week just for this game and it's stifled Tennessee. They had no answers for it, even though Tennessee, they gained a little bit momentum there in the third quarter. There was an opportunity to close it out, but they couldn't do it. So Travis Williams, I think he's doing a masterful job with Arkansas defense. Yeah. And I hate to say it, Mike, you know, because the natural knee jerk reaction for me is to blame Tennessee here. It's to blame low tee hopple, you know, that he can't, that he just can't let him hang that for some reason, he wants to play keep away, get a couple of scores. I was just two weeks in a row, he did it with Oklahoma, he did it with, with, with Arkansas, get a little bit of a lead, take your foot off the gas and pray to God you hold on to lead and lean on this defense. That's not the answer, Mike. And, and I know he said that towards the start of the season that Tennessee is going to be a really, really good defense. You can be both, you know, you don't have to be really good at defense and okay at offense. And, but again, here I am already doing it. I think it needs to be highlighted how well Arkansas played. They never gave up, even when they were down 14 to three, you just knew if they just kind of hung around there, I get, I text you, we text the groups all the time. I'm like, damn, if we don't get the score here, they're going to come back and win. And I, I know some call it battered ball syndrome, but whatever, I just felt like green was gaining more and more confidence as the football game went. Arkansas was gaining more confidence. The defense was gaining more confidence and on the other side, Tennessee was doing nothing. They had nothing to answer for. And, and as much as I would love to blame individual players like you freeze may have done in this situation, this was flat out coaching, Mike. They got outcoached. They got out. There was no, no, nothing. There's no changes. We saw two downfield passes. We were afraid of their secondary, afraid of Arkansas secondary. And, and, and then Nico, this, you know, God's gift to football, I told you that the $8 million man, he was going to be able to run the football. He's going to be able to run like, like hookers offense again. But I didn't see any of that, Mike. You know, the only time he ran was when he was about to get sacked. And then that's when he got hurt. So it's, it, I saw no, no development from, from, they had two weeks to perfect, prepare for this. And it was an absolute disaster. Hmm. I think they were reading in press clip in those two weeks. Probably. I don't know about you. Probably were. But again, the only part where I would fault, and not even fault, Arkansas, but you know, lack of execution, red zone, five trips came out with 19 points. So had they been able to convert a little bit more in a red, they would have blown Tennessee out. Yeah. But you know, as it was, again, I'll throw up the statistics from this. It's not like that. Again, Arkansas certainly led the way, but I mean, 5.9 yards per play for Arkansas, 5.2 for Tennessee. There was no turnovers. There was, each had two rushing Tennessee led the, the ground game. Arkansas, the passing. I, you know, I think this is just, these were two teams that are pretty close to each other. And Arkansas in their losses, they've turned the ball over in Tennessee. I know they turned the ball over against Oklahoma, but hell, they got it back there every time they turned it over. So, kind of canceled each other out. But had you told me that Tennessee was minus whatever they were, six, like, like Arkansas, Tennessee's probably sitting here with a four and two record and not, or three and two, heading into this game. And it's just Arkansas and they don't turn it over. They can beat anybody. That's it. Efficiency was their Achilles heel. And if they ever, if they ever cleaned that up or never had them, you know, I told you Mike, this would be an undefeated football team right now. This, this wouldn't have been an upset. This would just have been a big win because Arkansas would have been a top 10 football team if that would have happened. So, yeah, Arkansas is very dangerous. And you will talk about pretenders and contenders. You know, I'd say in Arkansas as a contender, if they keep playing like they do and green's healthy, I feel like Arkansas can beat anybody. Are you right in Tennessee off? I'm gonna throw their schedule as a playoff team. No, I'm not, but I'm about a six right now. It's very low, but still has an opportunity to make a college football playoff. But that now we're sitting at a spot where you have to be Alabama or Georgia. And I'm not convinced you can do that. What about October 12th, brother? I mean, they're coming in with house money. I don't even want to talk about them right now, Mike. We'll talk about them later this week. I'm already googling where to run a marathon. Walk a marathon. I'm trying to pick one that's closest to a hospital, you know, so. Yeah. Hey, I will say this. You talk about pretenders, contender or fraud alert. I feel like Tennessee is a little bit of a fraud alert right now. And and mainly from again, I call him low T. Hopel because he got in his testosterone. And he's just out here playing passive football all of a sudden. This ain't this ain't the hop. Well, I knew I wanted. Let me ask you this though, Shane, is that because because that one thing that was stunning about this game, I knew Arkansas had a really good defense a lot. We've never downplayed that, but they man handled Tennessee's offensive line, which had it. They're all their starters this time is a different story than Oklahoma. What what can surge your most? Is it is it? No, I won't disagree with you, but low T hypo because I think you got to go. You know, that's your identity. But is it not wanting to go forward? Or is it, you know, not they don't have the players to execute and get it done? I mean, this is this is troubling because they're going to face better defensive lines than this. Yeah, mainly for me, there was no stretch in this offense. You know, there was nothing be I mean, you looked at the stats there. We averaged five Tennessee average, five yards per pass attempt. You know, Arkansas was at 10. So again, you just knew it was always an out. It was something within. And I told you, if it's open, yeah, we're going to take it. But I saw a lot of tackles at the goal line. I saw a lot of wasted football plays. And and again, I understand Tennessee's method is just get that first down, get the thing going. But they just had a tough go of getting that first down and getting that momentum. And it's almost like they needed a 60 second drive to show some sort of life on the offense. So yeah, I'm very, I'm very disappointed. And I'm not bashing Nico, but obviously that last place sucked ass. Looked like Milton out there. Well, let's talk some Arkansas. You're going on and on about Tennessee. What is it? Where can we get now? Because all of a sudden, four and two, again, not happy necessarily with how you got here? Because, hell, this people say it's kind of cliche, but it's true. Could have been undefeated. Yeah. But you know, A&M kind of dominated the fourth quarter. So maybe, you know, maybe we'll give them that one. But we could be sitting here. We are sitting here as a four and two team. You know, Mississippi State, I think you can destroy them. Louisiana Tech. So that right there, you're you're going bowling. Yeah, if you just take care of the games you're favored in, how high can this Arkansas team go with that? LSU coming to town. You got two weeks to prepare for LSU. And LSU will be coming off a hard fought Ole Miss game. You know, maybe they're game of the season for LSU. That Mississippi State, Ole Miss at home, Texas at home, Louisiana Tech at home. And at Mizzou, who the hell knows Mizzou maybe quit and drink could be fired? I'm just kidding. But you know what I mean? They could be down on the ropes. How high can we get it for the Arkansas Razorbacks? Five more wins. I feel like you're watching LSU. So here's what I'm when I look at Arkansas, I look at defenses that they're gonna have to face. They can they can go toe to toe with LSU because their defense is not that good. So LSU, Mississippi State, La Tech, Mizzou, those are very winnable games right now. And I still think they could sneak up and buy an Ole Miss or a Texas. They are at home, which I think is very crucial. But hell, they could maybe beat them both if they keep playing, if they keep progressing the way that they're doing. I want I want to stress progression because again, there's been some frustrating moments with the Razorbacks. But I am seeing a football team that is getting better. I've seen receivers that are getting better. I'm seeing an offensive line that's getting better. You mentioned a defensive front. This is a defense that's getting more and more tenacious. So this is a team that is growing. And I'm seeing opportunities, especially if you're looking at the Ole Miss, Texas, because both of those teams don't think they can lose Arkansas. Well, neither did Tennessee, you know, and neither did Texas A&M, even though they end up beating that game. But Oklahoma State, you know, it's like, but all of a sudden, if you remove the turnovers, if you create like they did this week, like they cleaned up their act, and then all of a sudden, when there's no mistakes, they won a football game. Right. Well, I almost gave this guy a coach of the week. I mean, he earned it, but Clark Lee, historic, you know, so close runner up here, Sam Pittman, shout out Sam Pittman, our favorite, his best win today. You get into coaching for moments like what just happened, and it's to see the kids and the smiles on their face and the hard work that they do, because there's a lot of teams that can't get to that feeling. And we did tonight. And for, if you all care, wasn't a one score game, I might want to write about that too. But Go Hogs, the fans won the game for us. There was four off sides. They started. I think it was the sixth, sixth largest crowd in the history of University Arkansas. And our fans got us four false starts. And it helped us tremendously. And our atmosphere and our coming in today was like any of the elite university football programs. Nobody had nothing on us today. And that was the fans and the facilities and everything like that. This was a big, big, big time atmosphere for college football and the fans made it happen for us and we appreciate them. And shout out the fans. I mean, that's a perfect way to cap the night for Sam Pittman. You know what? And boy, they were having some fun, weren't they? I still think none of them have slept. We're they're on right now. They have not slept all night. They've been they've been clicking. I've been tagged in so many damn funny videos. I love it and enjoy it, you know, because again, this is a football team that has been in some pretty dark places. You know what I'm saying? It's been a while since they've been toward the top or even relevant or even in the same realm of top five football teams. So that's just kudos to them for hanging in there and giving their coach some time. You know, we made some bad coordinator hires and I think we we failed on that, but we learned and we went out there and we got some good hires and and you could see just the right people in that building make a football team better. And this is a team that's playing as a team. And that's what I love about it because there there is no eyes. There's no individuals on this football squad. This is a this is a squad that had all the doubters on them. And they're going out here and proven that they can that they belong. So yeah, congratulations to Pittman. You bastard. You better be at my table next year. Well, has to come here. So yeah, I appreciate it. But but I couldn't be happy for maybe a case shade again. People don't want to hear this hell. I don't want to hear it because I'm always the one firing everybody. But maybe this is, you know, a perfect example of staying the course. Yeah, 90, probably 95% to 90% Arkansas fans wanted his ass going. Yep. They're lying. If they tell you otherwise. And then you bring in by the patrino. He won a lot of people over. Yeah. And now each game doesn't matter. We had our buddy, Ty on a couple of weeks ago. He said it every time they win by the patrino gets a credit when they lose. Sam Pittman gets a damn blame. So give Sam Pittman his do for for leading this team out of this when when very few people had them winning this game. And again, we all want a new coach when we when we lose a game we shouldn't. But you don't hear that when you upset a top five team in the country. You know what? Do you see him in the locker room later? Turn that day of jukebox that they said. But I'll tell you where else they're turning it up, Shane. And that may be the hottest team in the country. Texas A&M bag. He's how about it, Shane? 41 to 10 over our former Missouri Tigers. Come on now. Texas A&M three and O in conference play. They're far and away. Number one team, sole position in the conference. A&M the largest victory over a top 10 opponent in pro gram history. How about this? Shane rushing. Texas A&M 240 yards. Missouri 93 damn near perfect execution in the red zone five for five for 31 points. Missouri one of one of four three points. Connor Wigman came off a bench. Hell, I didn't even think he should be starting. They were winning so many with Marcel Reed. He goes 18 for 22, 276 yards and lay beyond Moss. We thought hell, they don't have any playmakers. They don't have an elite running back. Well, he said, by God, I got 12 carries 138 yards, three touchdowns. How's that for elite? And then this was never even a contest. I mean, I mean, here's a drive drive chart touchdown field goal touchdown, touchdown punt touchdown field goal, punt touchdown. This damn game was was over. Missouri could get nothing. They looked absolutely. Now, the story is going to be mazoos fraud, blah, blah, blah. I get it, which, which is probably true, but we got to give A&M credit for getting better and better and better and better each week. And just they looked damn dominant, Shane. Yeah, if they, if they can run the ball like this and they stop opponents from rushing the ball, I get it, you know, schedule tough games coming up. But if you got a, if you can run the ball like this, and now you got a quarterback that can push the ball down the field. And you can stop people from, from doing it on, on the other side. This is, I'm not predicting it, but I'm saying they can make the college football playoff legitimately, the way they keep improving. And one last award I got here, Shane, Nick Scorton, Kavol, baby, SCC defensive player of the, I mean, he's, he's unstoppable Shane that no one has an answer for this guy. And credit to him. He's another one that he's from there, had to go to Purdue. Yeah, got bigger. And they said, Hey, all of a sudden we want you, you know what I mean? Like, so credit, credit that guy for, for putting in the work. He's good. He's probably going to, he's playing his way into a not only a first round pick, but a high first round pick. Yeah, it may be the most impressive defensive lineman in the country. Live lived in the backfield. It's like almost like, felt like he had the plays, you know, it's like, it was just, it was absolutely impressive. Seven out of the first nine drives resulted in points. A&M just beat the shit out of Mizzou, man. It was an absolute travesty. And, and I will say this, you know, cause at first there were some bad calls, you know, but that could probably fix 14 points in this football game. Mike, that's it. This was never, even if you remove a couple of those bad calls early, they had no answers for A&M. Connor Wickman looked like they, Johnny Manziel out there running around, hitting everybody. I, I, I issued some apologies during our emergency podcast, and it was to Connor. It was to Klein. It was to this fan base. It was, I apologize because I was wrong. I have been bashing A&M since day one. Sure, shit. The time I'm not on the wagon. They're finally good. You know, but this is a football team. You know, we talk about pretenders and contenders. They are a contender. Like you said, this is a football team. It blows my mind that this is a football team that has an opportunity to be one of those playoff spot squads. And, and if they keep playing like they do, I think they've got a lot of very, very winnable games coming up. Don't want to get the head too big here, but just keep doing what they're doing. She keeps showing the improvement and you better believe now this, I think you will talk about my winners. I don't, I don't do the handouts like you do, but I think this defense should get some credit too, man, because you, you, you talked about the defensive lineman, but it was like a blanket pun intended. We've heard it 5,000 times, but there was nothing open out there. This defense came to play. It felt like they had 12 men on that football field sometimes. Oh, shout out, cousin Rick. Hey, thanks, cause Florida done. Arkansas done. Bazoo done next cousin Shane pick us this weekend only because they're all to buy. Beat the hell out of this sippy state. Appreciate you cousin Rick. So yeah, I mean, they, they look locked in and we'll get to more A&M in just a minute, but God, how bad, how bad does mazoo look? I mean, they, they base, I don't want to say they quit, but they, they lost the composure. Things didn't go their way. And I think last year they would have kept fighting this year. I don't know Shane. And certainly the defense, which has looked among the best in the conference. Yeah. Up to this point. Now again, they've been playing some jokers here, but you know, they got totally exposed. The offense had nothing going. And how concerning now is this? I mean, you got to get right up on the mat somehow. You're playing at UMass, but then Auburn at home at Bama, Oklahoma at home south. I mean, I don't know. I mean, they, they certainly could rebound, but I don't have confidence in them to do it. This is the, the first program we talked about, top 25 that I got on the pretenders list. These guys are in trouble. They are spiraling out of control. They didn't kick the football because they were upset, but they went over there and they pat it on the sideline like they were. You know what I'm saying? This, this is a football team that was out of sync and they've been out of sync all season long. They got away with it because they were, they were more competitive than they had more talent than the other teams they were playing. But now they're meeting teams that are just as good as they are. And it doesn't work anymore. And I told you, man, the definition and sanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. And that's exactly what we're doing with Miss, with Mizzou here. I don't, I'm not bashing Cook, but he missed a lot of wide open players. And, and, and I get the frustration on the wide receivers part, but it can't just be on him. They couldn't get the running game going. They could, there was nothing that was, there was no changes. Mike, it was like, you know what, if we just keep beating our head against the wall, eventually we'll break through what you did. And, and this is, you know, coach comes out later drinking and he takes a blame. But by God, he deserved a lot of it in this one, man. This was an absolute bloodbath and an embarrassment for that program. Couldn't handle the blanket. Good day, Shane. Oh, man. Will Lee's also, he leads the country right now in past breakups. But if I got to hear about this name blanket, I mean, they, they mentioned at 35, what time Brady Cook threw a football hit a receiver in the head. I don't know why he couldn't get you, but he hit him in the head. They said, damn, the blankets all over his hands. It was everything, man. It was the, it was the offensive line was, was a failure. Got dominated. The defense got their ass kicked. I mean, and again, they, they stayed on the football field most time on the time of possession. It's but it felt like mazoo was on defense the entire football game because they could never get a first down on offense. So yeah, this is a, this is a football team that I don't know, man. I don't know what they do. I, I've been telling you for five weeks that, hey, they'll figure it out. This, this should have been a wake up call. There's no more wake up calls. Maybe I'm the one that needs to wake up and realize this is a bad football team. I think, I think you and I both need to do, Shane, yeah. And then shout out back to a A&M rushing attack. Shout out Luke evangelists from Texax Shane over the past a couple of games here. Yeah, A&M's defense has held three of the SEC's top seven leading rushers to a combined 33 carries 72 yards. That's 2.2 yards per carry and only a touchdown. Wow. And again, we are rushing for 226.7 rushing yards, not, not for not, I'm not counting cream puff Shane. This is just conference play to over 226 rushing yards. Texax A&M's are rushing for again, you do that. I'm telling you, this, this is why I like calling Klein, you know, run the ball, run the ball, run the ball, play action, hit him over the top. Yeah. And you pair it with this elite defense. Texas A&M ceiling is incredibly high, much like Mike Elko defending his quarterback. He was fired up after this one, Shane. Last thing I'm going to say, and I'm going to say this because it needs to be said, you know, I, you can challenge Connor for how he plays and you can be upset about Connor for how he throws a football. Some of the stuff that has been said about this kid and written about this kid, not by you guys, you guys have been great is embarrassing. It's absolutely embarrassing. The stuff that gets out there on this kid, this kid's a winner. He's a competitor. He does everything that he needs to do for Texas A&M football. And there's a lot of people right now that need to stand up and recognize what they've said over the last three weeks and take some ownership in it. So from there, I'll open up the questions. Second row. First time I've ever heard an F bomb and one of these coach, it was edited out, but that he literally said it. That's the first for me, Shane. Yeah. And I'm part of that crew, man. You know, so that's why I stepped up. I owned it. I was wrong. I apologize. Connor, you're a great kid. You're terrible at magic tricks, but other than that, you're a good kid. And again, and Mike, you know, we talked, like I said, we talked to those boys, the textags and and and convinced us that this could be a Heisman Cannon. I'm not saying that he wins the Heisman, but man, he sure shit played like one Saturday, right? Yeah, he certainly did. And just for the back story, anybody that doesn't, I mean, I don't traffic in rumor, so I'm not going to do it here. But I think that's more, more or less what he was attacking there. There's, you can find it quite easily if you search for it. But I think a lot of that, but also again, you're right. I mean, we watched him week one, we said, yeah, this, this ain't, this ain't the guy, you know, this ain't who he's built up to be. But yeah, now he did, he had great prediction, but that's a credit to Aggie offensive line. Again, 18 of 22 in this football game, he was with him playing like that, that's, that was the missing ingredient. So again, again, they've won five in a row. Yeah, Marcel Reed, very good job in service, but he didn't have that kind of arm, you know, and when we have that, we, we both, I mean, again, I'm not trying to discredit Arkansas or Bowling Green or anything like that. But if they had that, Wigman playing like, yes, I think they would have won those games similar fashion that they beat Missouri. Is that fair? That's fair. Yeah. And I just, it's just wild. You know who doesn't need testosterone shots? Elko. You know what I'm saying? Like, I mean, the fact that he's got a quarterback that's won three games in a row. And he said, no, I'm benching you. I put Connor back in. I mean, that, that takes a pair because you see, we're going to talk about this other team here a second. They listen to the fans and they're like, well, they want to see this guy. So let's keep them in a lot of people want to see Reed, you know, drink came out earlier this week says, we know who's going to be the quarterback. We all did. Elko said, Elko, my best option is coming out Saturday. And then he played like his hair was on fire. Maybe that was the damn problem saying they've been prepared for the wrong day quarterback. That's probably it. And then I got one more saying from Frank Elko, this was great. Defends the 12th man of best whole field advantage in the country. Yeah, I mean, I think the 12th man certainly heard some of the statements made about how easy it was to play in Kyle Field. And that was good. And they were certainly riled up. We always appreciate them. We knew they'd be there strong this week. And, you know, we're capable of being a really good defense. When we communicate, when we do things the right way, when we play the game that we're capable of playing, we're capable of being a really good defense. And so for the most part, we did that today, still some things to fix and clean up. But we just if we keep progressing, we have a chance to be a pretty good defense. It's always a mistake when you call out the 12th man shade. And now I got to eat my crow here because I called him out too. So bear with me some of these, I don't even understand some of these words, Shane, but I did practice it. So this is going to, this is going to be awful. But I said, I'm going to do it. So I'm going to do it. I'm going to sing this war hymn here. Hallelujah. Kannuk. Hallelujah. Kannuk. Kannuk. Goodbye to Texas University. Good, along to the orange and white. Good luck to the dear old Texas Aggies. They are the boys who show the real old fight. The eyes of Texas are upon you. That is the song they sing so well. Sounds so like hell. So goodbye to Texas University. They're going to beat you all to chugger, chugger, chugger, chugger, chugger, chugger, all right, that's enough. You guys suffered enough. But again, my apologies, A&M top five, top three, hope you'll have, and they showed themselves, Shane, even 11 a.m., whoop Missouri's ass, a top 10 opponent. And again, I'm going to throw up her schedule one more time. I mean, who are they losing to? Who in the hell is Texas A&M? You know, they're going to beat Texas as ass. We all know that. LSU, maybe they're toughest tests. Maybe South Carolina, we're about to get to them, but, and they're all at home. They're tough, their toughest tests are at home. You know, they'll probably bite them at the end. You know what I mean? I mean, if we, if anything, this Saturday proved is there is no gimmies on the schedule, you know, any team can maybe, maybe October 19th to give me Mississippi State, but, but I am saying now I'm looking at November 30th as your toughest matchup. And of course LSU, October 26th, but you beat one of them, you're in. This may be one of those teams. I mean, isn't that crazy? playoff, our other playoff. They got to keep, keep taking. Now here's the problem. First coach, first year coach, you know, consistency could be an issue. Yeah. But if, again, if they improve, week in, week out, God, they're going to be good. I can't believe it. We're in the upside down, Mike. I have never, I mean, this, somebody has made a bad deal. And I don't know. Maybe it's that cat I got ever since I got that cat. Shit has gone crazy. Well, you know what's not crazy, Shane, and what doesn't stink like Missouri, Mando, our new, new sponsor, Shane, head on over to Mando. They got us covered with body odor stuff that they'll send you a complete starter pack over at Mando. They sent us some stuff, Shane. Yeah. I've been using the bar. I've been using the wash. I got the stuff under my pits right now. That's why I'm not sweating at all under these pits. Thanks to Mando. So go over to Mando dot com, get you a starter pack that comes with a solid stick deodorant cream, uh, tube deodorant, two free products of your choice and free shipping, new customers over at Mando. And I'm telling you, the ladies, well, I know one lady, the lady loves it. You know what? I tried, I got a house full of women. They all like it. And you know, and I think it's a win-win. You help the show, you help the show grow and you smell good. So check it out. Cause Rick says blame at cat. Yeah. What's the recision on that thing? I need to take that thing back. Well, speaking of sticky, Shane. God. Tennessee hasn't won a game since I've had King Henry in this house. So time to give him back. But shout out, man, everything backs against the wall. Ole Miss Rebels go on the road and completely dominate South Carolina. 27 to 3 should have been by a wider margin than this, Shane. But South Carolina, what the hell are you doing? I tempted a fake punt on their first possession. Now again, every time you do something like that and it fails, you get called out. But just set up Ole Miss for an easy touchdown right off the bat to get the ball rolling. Here was the key to the game, Shane. Cause it's statistically not, I mean, again, almost dominated. But here was the main difference. Average yards per completion. Ole Miss over 20 yards per completion. South Carolina, only eight. So more than doubled up. Shout out JJ Piggies, a big man. Big defense alignment had two rushing touchdowns in this one. And I said it could have been even more the size of Juice Wells, who was getting booed the whole day of game, fumbled was, was what a score to touchdown. But he fumbled right out the end zone, credit the South Carolina defender for running him down. But man, out, outclassed, outpowered, out everything. This, this is the Ole Miss I thought we were getting. Yeah. Yeah. And I thought my account, I mean, in my mind, obviously I predicted an upset here. So I clearly, I was wrong and I should apologize to Ole Miss fans, but it never felt like these two teams were the same. You know what I'm saying? Sometimes you watch these, these top five, top 15 matchups and you're just like, yeah, team A is definitely better than team B and I felt that I felt like South Carolina was just holding on to dear life here. They had a couple of good things go their way. I'm with you. I thought the punt was momentum is real. And I feel like I think you lost it right there. If it's fourth and two, because you got to remember, I think there was a timeout before that. And then they come out, you know, fourth and two, it's like, just have your offense out there and try to get the first down. It's another, if it's, you know, fourth and seven and you try a little beamer ball, I get that. But this was a beamer ball. This was trying to trick everybody, but you took a timeout to think about it. You know, so anyway, that wasn't what lost the game. What lost the game is just Ole Miss is just super talented and not just the offense. Everybody flocks toward Lane Kiffin and his offensive playbook and his mind and I just said, oh, look how wonderful it is. Ole Miss has got probably one of the best, if not the best defense in the country right now. They are absolutely dominant up front. And I, this is a team that at the end of the day, when we, we talk about who's, who's contenders and who's pretenders, they will be a contender because of that defense. Yeah, I'm glad you said that Shane, because that, that's what I thought the story was going to be coming out of the Kentucky game. Yeah, I thought they smother them and they did a solid job. But again, credit Kentucky, hell, they made the plays. But here again, Ole Miss, they finally got a defense Shane. I went six points. I don't care who is, who is again, on the road in this conference is very, very difficult to do. So shout out Pete Golding and the strides they've made on that side of the football. But yeah, again, now I'm going to throw up their schedule. I mean, I'm bodying again. Yeah. I think they got caught. They were not prepared for Kentucky. They got outclass, I got out physical. Not sitting there saying they're going to beat everybody now, but, you know, the key one will be next week, LSU, if, big if, but if you could beat them, I, I think we're a lock for the playoff once again, because, because like we had Neil McCreney on last week, go check it out if you missed it. But you're essentially swapping out LSU for Kentucky. Yeah. And I think that's a trade. Ole Miss fans, if they're being honest, would, would take. Now, again, this team has shown they can drop a game here or there, but I don't know. I'm fired up after this result, because this was, this was a team that had everything to lose. Yeah. And not a lot to gain. And they, they were dominant, I thought. Well, that's what I thought would happen here. A little bit of a hangover like I'm having today, you know, I thought they just come into this thing. It'd be sloppy, similar to an Alabama Vanderbilt thing. Maybe keep it close. And you never know, and, and SEC longs you keep it close for three quarters. You never know what's going to happen at the end, but that didn't happen. Mike, this is a team that really rallied. You know, they had the players only meeting. They, they, they came out here and they played as a squad and, and I didn't see the give up that I have seen in some of these other football teams that lost yesterday. So this was a, this was a big win for Ole Miss because it could have been a spiral, you know, and they said, they happen to us. We are a playoff contender. Now, what about for South Carolina? Shane, where does this leave us? Again, you, all of a sudden, Alabama doesn't look like a, a juggernaut. I'm, I, you'll be underdogs, certainly. You're at Alabama, you're at Oklahoma, you have Texas A&M, my God. I mean, an inventor belt, Missouri. I mean, this, this is a little bit of a murders row, but based on what we've seen, I get South Carolina turned it over, stupid fake punt. I mean, those things kill you. If not for those, maybe this was a ball game. I, personally, Shane, I think South Carolina is like a top 20 to top 25 team. Yeah. And I think Ole Miss is potentially like a top 16. I mean, I, I just think this was a, a potential championship team and a potential ranked team and the, and the, the much better team went out. But I, to me, and again, I, I realized just the most lopsided loss fans had their hopes up. I'm not right in South Carolina off after this, are you? No, no, I'm not. In fact, when, when I look at South Carolina, I think it's very similar to that 22 season, where we had a couple of rough losses early in the season, but beyond November, because you can't count A&M now, because they're apparently a juggernaut, November, not even Vanderbilt, still not, I mean, they got some tough teams, but Vanderbilt, Mizzou, Walford, and Clemson, there's an opportunity they close out November with four wins. And I feel like this is a squad that can do that. So they're, they've got to buckle up because these next three games are going to be very, very tough. They're going to make or break your season. But I do feel like when, if you get beyond these three, maybe you still won or two of those, I, you, you have, you have a lot to play for on the back half of your schedule. Right. Eight and four, not, not off the tape. The way this defense can play, we just, the, the thing that really disappointed me, well, there's two things. We'll, we'll get that just a second. But the, the thing for South Carolina that disappointed me, Shane, is undisciplined play. Yeah. Machine gun and, uh, I mean, we, we just, we got to be more, more sensible than that. You know, I saw a lot of shooting this weekend, a lot of duck shooting, a lot of, I mean, this motion came out of, I don't know where, but it's, it's one that you're going to have to break. You need to break that in practice because they're practicing it, you know, right. So this is just a team, Shane, that they can't give up turnovers. Yeah. They can't give up field position. They can't give up anything easy. And if they do, they just, they're not built to come back. So it, you know, it's always, they've always got to stay within a score, I think, to, to really be competitive yet. You'll let one slip away. But again, this season, if it's taught us anything after six weeks here, Shane, any, one of these damn teams can beat any of them. So again, I, I just threw up a schedule. I, I think eight and four is still not off the table. I mean, I don't think it would be highly unlikely you beat Alabama, but again, hell Vanderbilt just beat them. And then the way A and M's playing, but it, but like you said, every other game is, is winnable here. And, and it beaten Alabama and beaten A and M would probably not even be a top three upset based on what we've seen so far. You know what? No, no, that's it. South Carolina is still dangerous football team. You don't want to play them. This isn't like a Mississippi state football team. That's, that's kind of what people have projected them. But I tell you what, Lane's, Lane was very happy to just get 27 points to get this football team. Right. Well, you know, who wasn't happy and I'm right here with him, Shane, we got, we got, we got to clean this shit up. Uh, beamer in a post game with all these fake injuries. You talk about how hard it was to get a flow in the game when there were seven, eleven and stoppages have played assist their players off. And one of their players had to be assist same guy, assisted all four times. Come on, come on now. First of all, I hope all those guys are okay for sure. Um, we had some guys that had some injuries as well. And, um, you know, boogie and jewels went down a couple of times and I hope they're okay. Um, I hope they're okay. It's remarkable to me how many, maybe it's something there's, and, and listen, I got my own problems. We just got our butts kicked 27 to three, but it's fascinating to me how many injuries occur for them after the opposing offense makes a first down or has a big play. And you go back and watch the Wake Forest game. It happens a lot to the same guy. You watch the Kentucky game. It happens a lot. So certainly we'll look at the tape and, uh, I know there's a review process as well, but it's, uh, again, I hope those guys are well and, and they're great players and, um, you know, I really hope they're okay. I know we had a big injury report this week and, and I'm sure it'll be another big one this week as well, but we'll look at it and there's not much the officials can do during the game. But certainly it's a thing that, you know, we discussed with, or we'll discuss with, um, the people above us as well. But again, I got, I got my own problems on, on our own team right now, but I think if it's, um, the timing of some of the injuries, it's a really bad look for college football and it's not what this game's about. Now here's the thing, Shane. I don't, it's very difficult obviously to, to police this, but this seems very simple to me. And I don't know why they don't do it. And now we're going to have a hundred plus scholarship to, to every SEC team. If you have to be helped off the field, you should not be able to participate for the rest of the drive. I mean, that, that is common logic I feel like, because even if it's, again, we're not trying to penalize guys that are hurt, yeah, but aren't we pushing the game to, clearly we are with, with targeting and things like this, where we are pushing the game towards more safety. Yeah. And if a guy is legitimately injured, what good is it for him to sit out of play? It's, it's better for them mentally, physically to take a moment and sit out the drive. Now maybe you, you can call a timeout because he really is injured. You can put him back in like they do the helmet rule, but it's, it's nonsensical to me that we have these guys limping off, you know, fake limping, and then they're right back out in the next play. Like if, if you're hurt, you should not be participating for, for your own safety. Yeah. No, I totally agree. And I've heard some say a whole quarter, you know, I mean, a drive, I'm, I'm behind that. There's going to be something that'll be a role change. We all work with this guy, right? You know, Lane Kiffin's that guy that you, you know, that he's, he does stuff that makes the rules get changed. You know, I'll never forget back when I used to smoke. There was this guy, he'd leave his cigarettes out there. He'd just put them on and eventually corporate caught it and they're like, not no more smoking on property. And I'm like, damn, you ruined it for everybody, which again, I'm glad I don't smoke anymore. But Lane Kiffin's that guy, we're going to implement a damn rule that is going to turn around and buy him in the ass one day when one of his players gets hurt and now he can't come in for the rest of the game or the rest of the quarter. And again, we're all going to point to Lane Kiffin and say, well, you, you kind of created this problem, brother. So stop, just, just quit. You know, everybody knows you're doing it and it's a bunch of bullshit. And I'm, I'm right there with you. There shouldn't be this, this injury after a first down or a big, big, big drive or something. It's just, you see it all the time, Mike. And so they're going to have to fix it. And unfortunately, we're going to always know it as Lane Kiffin role. And I didn't realize it, but it makes complete sense now, Shane, because I share this on the Twitter feed, you know, every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, they put out the injury report. And I thought Kiffin was just making a mockery of it, but he literally puts 25 guys on the injury report. Whereas most teams have, Oklahoma has been really, so I should not lump them in, but even they don't have 25. But I get most, most half between like three to at most eight, eight guys on the injury report. Kiffin's got a third of his team. And so, so you know, they're teaching them to do this. They're telling them to drop it. So now you put all these guys on the injury report, there's, he can point right to it and say, they're on their injury report. They've been banged up. You know, they're, they're playing every snap, except for where they lip off. But again, it's, it's 40 chess. So you got, I guess you got to credit him for like finding little cheats. But yeah, it's, it's cheating. It's, it's bullshit. And they need to do something about it. It's cheating. It's, it's exactly what it is. And, and I get it that there's a loophole that you're getting away with, but you won't always get away with this. It'd be one thing if indefinitely, I don't see this ever happening, but you better than believe in the off season down there at Destin, they're going to come up with a new rule, and it's going to impact you. And then it's going to be funny as shit when it happens to him, and one of his players can't come back in. And he can only point fingers at himself. Bobby G says, we all know a lane. We all know. Absolutely. And then Robert, big, Ole Miss fan, quick, quick, you're crying. Ole Miss, five in wood, they're kicking ass. So I, if I was an Ole Miss fan, I'd say that too, you know. They could do it without the injuries. I mean, as an Ole Miss fan, did you watch that game say, you know what? I'm glad we faked an injury there, or we would have lost this fucking thing. No, you would have won the game. It's just, you're just, you're doing, it's, it's an advantage. So, whatever. All right. How about this one, Shane? This was, you know, about as it would expect it, but again, credit them Dow, Shane, beaten Auburn for the eighth straight year 31-13. But really, Shane, if you study this game, if you watch it intently, there was not a huge difference between these teams, yards per play. They both average 5.8 yards per play. How about rushing yards? Georgia, 157 Auburn, 156. Now, what this game really came down to, Georgia was 7 or 14 on third downs. Auburn was 4 of 12. And then in the red zone, Georgia was 4 of 4 for 28 points. Auburn was 2 of 2 for 6. So, Georgia was perfect. Auburn didn't score a touchdown down there. That's how you lose games like this. Again, Auburn is, I know I've told them relentless more, more their coach and anything. But, you know, they, they played hard. Yeah. This game was 13 to 10, I believe, at one point. And, you know, Georgia obviously pulled away. But, you know, not a ton of shame here, just a, just a little bit of lack of execution down the stretch, not a lot of drives in his football game. But, you know, this was just a better team pulling away with better talent. But, again, it just sucks for Auburn because they're, they're so close if they keep dropping these games. Well, that's it. They are close. They're not that far. It's not like they got, they didn't just get beat up on. They were in this game and there was some questionable plays in here. I still, I still don't understand why we're so reserved with Hunter, you know. I mean, he's shown flashes of just, I think he was averaging almost nine yards a carry. Yeah. And I'm looking at there at the end of the game, he's got like nine carries. And I'm like, what are we doing? He finished with 13. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's just, this, there was moments in here where he was really starting to take over the football game. We were like, ah, nah, let's run with Peyton, you know. So part of me is a little bit frustrated with, with some of that play call. But again, I never felt like, I never felt like they were completely out of this game that all of a sudden, if they could get a turnover, if they could get a little bit of a momentum swing, Auburn could be right into this thing, which speaks volumes because this, this is a club. This is a team that didn't have give up. Like I talked about, like Mizzou earlier, you know, there was a lot of give up in that football team, especially when they went down multiple scores. Auburn never gives up. They keep scrapping, they keep fighting, and they keep making it difficult, but they just weren't good enough to stay in with Georgia. Right. And, uh, after the game, Shane, Hugh Freeze, let it be known that there was a big fourth and short. Mm hmm. Peyton Thorne kept it. He was supposed to hand it off. So he let everybody know. I didn't, I didn't tell him to keep it. He was, and he was, he was irate on the sideline. He was really raving him out. So he, this might be the one time in his life. Hugh Freeze was being honest. But, um, again, I, I don't think you throw your, your player into the bus. But again, we don't, we don't have to rehash all that. But, uh, how about, how about Carson Beck where he looks a little, he still looks a little off to me and saying that, Shane, he was 23 a 29, 240 yards, two touchdowns. So we're grading him on a curve. We're grading him on an elite curve. Yeah. But he, he doesn't quite look quite there. Shout out Trevor Etienne though, 16 carries 88 yards, two touchdowns. And he also led the team with six catches, 36 yards. So he's starting to really come along. They'll need him later in the season. But I did want to shout out Kirby and the coaches because I thought Auburn would cover just like I thought Vanderbilt would cover. Never dreamed Vanderbilt could win. I didn't think Auburn could win either. But just coming off had huge game. This is natural for all that down. And we saw DeBore fail miserably. Yeah. We saw Kirby be the elite coach had he is. And again, I'm seeing it in the comments. The fans are, are not overly thrilled by that performance. They won 31 13. That, that's the standard at Georgia. You know, we're 31 13. I guess a rival conference opponent, not that good. But I'm not saying that, but I'm just saying, I thought that was a very good job of avoiding the upset potential that obviously Alabama could not. Well, it'd been more points if the, if the fans were there, if they were out of here. I'm glad you said that. Shakers Kirby for the first time ever called out the Georgia fans. And he, so this is two clips. I ended them together. He's called out the fans, but also asked about Vanderbilt knocking off Alabama. This was probably the best quote of the entire week from an SEC coach. I think Vandy's got a great program and does a great job. I mean, it's a lot of other people that don't respect Randy. I respect Clark Lee. I respect his team, his quarterback, what they've done. They beat Virginia Tech. I mean, somebody told me that six of eight games were decided by one score or less in our league. Nothing shocks me about our league. So Texas A&M Missouri. Welcome to the SEC. It's hard every week. And I got a feeling that it's not going to stop. It's a, it's a consistency in performance. And when you ride the wave of emotion, you get caught on the bottom of the wave at sometimes. And we're just trying to do this. Just trying to keep getting better and keep getting better. Yeah, it's tough. I'm going to be honest because all people talked about all week was what? That, right? Miss, all people talked about all week. I mean, it was all over every Twitter feed, all over every social media, everything. And I told you all before we played them, I said, when we win or lose this game, there is a tough physical game after it. And there is. And guess what there is next week? Another one. Humility is a week away in our league at all times. And that's the consistency I want to have. We're not going to win all our games all the time. That's not going to happen. You know, I want our fan base to appreciate what we have and give their all and be unbelievable with crowd noise and make energy and just make home games because we need it to be tough on other teams to play here. But it's not, it's not the same as it's been in the past. It's got to be energetic. It's got to be already know what it was hot today. It was hot today. It was hot on our players too. And our players pushed through it. So I'm really proud of this team because I thought it was a tough week and we answered the bell. Georgia answered it, Shane, that lose one regular season game. The fans quit on them. Come on down. Come on. What lost in three seasons? Come on. Oh, yeah. Well, that's it. They're not getting, I don't know what it is. Again, Georgia, they are contenders. They're they're very high on my, on my list here. But there is still something. I'm not seeing the splash plays. You know, I felt like the, the, the script this week was just get ETN involved, which I'm glad because he's, he's not been there and you got to get this running game going. You got to get this, this running back going because that makes life easier for Beck. So I understand what they're trying to do. But like he said, humility is only a week away. If you keep, if you're not showing the improvement each week, there's going to be a team that, that kind of bites you in the ass. And needless to say, I felt like Georgia did nothing to, to, they had an opportunity to lose Mike. They had an opportunity to, to, to take that loss and say, you know what we, we, we, you know what I'm saying? I'm trying to put it in words, but I just, I feel like Georgia had, they were at a fork in the road either. Hey, we've been accepted as a good team, or we've been accepted as a bad team. And they're like, Hey, that was an off week. We can come out here. And that's what they did. It was like a nine to five job that has put their hard hat, got their lunch pail, went in there, didn't kick ass, but they got the victory and they got out of there. And I felt like that's what this program really needed this week. And again, credit them for responding to the challenge. Whereas Alabama did on game day, Nick Saban was asked, who would you rather be this week? Kaylin aboard Kirby smart. No hesitation. He said Kirby. Yeah, because we can't, they came back. They showed, you know, what they're made up and they got teaching points. Whereas at Alabama, clearly, well, there were some teaching points, but I don't know how long I don't know how well they listened this week. You know what? Yeah, it's the waves of emotion. You know, I like how you did that. Because he's like, you could either lose to Alabama or you could lose to me. And last thing on this game, let's just keep on running tally. After 19 games as head coach at Auburn, Brian Harson was nine and 10, Hugh Freeze, eight and 11. Come on down to you. You're doing a great job. Come on down. All right, final one. We can do this one a little bit quicker. It's a non-conference showdown chain, Florida 24, Central Florida 13. And quite also, it was not nearly this close. Florida jumped out to a 23 24 to three lead. Yeah, Central Florida scored 10 light. Well, it's some of the third quarter, some of the four takata make it look a little bit more respectable. But Graham Mertz outstanding 19 to 23, Shane's already shaking about next week, 179 passing yards of touchdown. And in the red zone, Florida four, four for 24 points. They were damn near perfect down there, took care of business. When many people held it, Central Florida, for some damn reason, was the favorite in this game. This is my lock of the week. Nailed another lock. Shane, I'll teach you how to nail these my boogie locks one day. But again, completely dominant in this football game. This is what I guess UCF isn't G five anymore, but there always be G five to me. This is what it looks like when a G five comes to SEC, you're supposed to get your ass whooped and Florida whooped their ass. Yeah, they started out really good, really strong. I think they got four scores out of the first six possessions. And and I will say this, Mike, they looked really good on both sides of the football and mainly the defense. KJ Jefferson, you know, it felt like he's back in Arkansas, running for his life. You know what I'm saying? They had like five sacks of this football game, but it wasn't just the sacks. It was the pressures. It was the hurries. It was the relentless. The I just love some of the dynamics blitz packages that they brought out this week. This is something I've not seen from Florida in a while, and it was good to see that aggressiveness. Now on the flip side, the coin, a second half, I saw a little bit of let go of the rain. I don't think UCF was ever in this football game, but I am a little worried about this quarterback carousel that we're doing. It works now. We're winning. It's fine. But as soon as you lose a game, the fans, especially, are going to be really upset about this bounce back because I saw DJ come out on that second score. You know, he looked, I mean, he threw a damn dime and then all of a sudden, merch is in the following possession. Now, he followed it up by a couple of good plays. So you're like, okay, this, this is working. But I don't think a two quarterback system is going to be able to work this entire season, Mike. No, no, I really don't. I think we need to go with the Gram, especially going to New Zealand stadium next week. We'll talk about that all week. But how about it, Shane? Let's give credit for credits due Florida. I don't know if you're aware of this, Shane. They got a longer winning streak right now than Tennessee, then Georgia, then Alabama, then Missouri, then Ole Miss. They're red hot right now, brother. I never thought of it that way, but you're correct. Hey, I mean, this is such a jumbled mess here, but I threw this out. So here's our updated look at the SEC standings after six weeks, Shane, Texas A&M stands alone, three and O crown them. LSU, Texas, one and O each, they're number two. And then we got a jumbled mess here. Well, then we got Georgia and Arkansas, each two and one, then the jumbled mess of Tennessee, Oklahoma, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Florida, and Ole Miss, all one and one, South Carolina, Kentucky, each at one and two, Mississippi State, 15 at 0 and 2, and Auburn, 0 and 3, number 16. So, I mean, quite honestly, Shane, 12 teams, any of the 12 moving forward could win it or all the 13. Well, yeah, I guess 12. And then I'm not, the way Kentucky's defense is playing, I'm not writing them off the way we've seen South Carolina play. Again, unlikely they'd win the SEC, but there's still a factor. Yeah. But man, this was wild, isn't it? Yeah, I think you hit the nail in the head, you know, there's no, I don't want to say about said records, but you know, the produce and, you know, these, this, this shitty team, there's none in the SEC except for maybe one. And they're not even at the bottom, you know what I'm saying? So I do think that this is a year that we're going to have, this isn't the only weekend we're going to have upsets, Mike. We are going to have more upsets. We are going to have four weeks from now. This list may be upside down. You just never know. And that's what I love about the SEC conference this year is there are a lot of really, really good football teams, and we're starting to get to see it. All right, Shane, last thing we like to do, guess the opening light, man, we got a slate here. I don't know. I don't know if anything gets out this late. We just have, but maybe we can't shade. So let's go the only non conference match up Missouri at UMass. What, what do you think the point spread is there? UMass 10. No, you have sold your bazoo stock. Give me a mazoo 20. 28 mazoo is favored by. Okay. Now, how about Mississippi State at Georgia? Georgia. 28. 34. Oh, okay. How about South Carolina at Alabama? Alabama 20 22. Man, you're on fire. You're nailed it. How about Florida at Tennessee? Florida one Tennessee, Tennessee nine, 15. No, no respect for the Gators. I'm locking the Gators right now. I'm just kidding. And then what some people were telling me last night, game of the year, Vanderbilt at Kentucky. I mean, quite frankly, these teams are hot right now. Yeah. Kentucky three, Kentucky 13. I'm jumping on Vanderbilt. Wow. Interesting. Maybe not to win outright, but, but the spread. Yeah. How about a Ole Miss at LSU? Ole Miss at LSU. Give me Ole Miss six. God, you hate LSU. Ole Miss three at LSU. They have a one in LSU since like the 80s. I was off three. That's not bad. How about Texas, Oklahoma, Red River, shoot out here, Texas 11. Oh, close 14. But again, we, I know that some of those spreads are a little wonky there, but I think we're going to get a hell of a weekend of games here. Get them now because there's going to be some movement as the week goes for sure, Mike. Ed, hey, I didn't want to leave you all these fine folks hanging. We got a bunch of donations and stuff liquid. Appreciate your brother. Hey, thanks, cause he donated Luke wisdom of membership. So welcome Luke to the family cousin Benjamin. He's already, he's already a member, but he gifted one to be creepy. How about I appreciate your Benjamin for doing that. And then Connor, I appreciate you. Nine bucks. He said, Hey, Mike, how about that Aggie war him? I don't know if you wanted to hear it, but you heard it there. So apologies for it. I'd pay 10 bucks never to hear it again. Cause the JR appreciate your serious question. Will there be an SEC coach fired this season? Yeah. Well, yeah. If you down in Gaysville, they got what is, who's, uh, he's on the break on it. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. He keeps winning. Longer swinging streak in the SEC right now. And then, uh, East Texas hog fan cousin Shane, get that Sherman Williams paint ready. Because we're going to bait the dough piece out of state and the head needs. I have red, bright red cardel, Bobby patrino for president 2028. Oh man. Congratulations. Hogs. You all deserve this. You deserve it. And then the main cousin JR is gifted a membership. Appreciate your brother to cousin Caleb. So we got a new family here and a cousin junior. Welcome to the family. Welcome, son cousin to Slick. He just gave us five bucks. He says, lost for words this weekend. He's a big Alabama fan. Lost for words this weekend, but at least Tennessee lost. So all his well, it makes me feel a little bit better. Row tad. And then, uh, cousin Seth appreciate you. Oklahoma, Texas, the best game and rivalry in college football. This will, this is always the best slash worst week of my life. Tuck fix. He says, uh, Dylan, appreciate you. Dylan, he gave us 10 bucks. He said, how about them? Oh, Shane. Have a few drinks. Oh, be tonight. Oh, I'm going to need more than a couple. We embrace the hog, didn't we? Appreciate your cousin Trevor. And then, uh, cousin Big Money says Diego Pavia is one E football. That's a comment of the night right there. Appreciate your brother. Marty Funkhouser. Appreciate you. You didn't practice that one day. Oh, no, I swear to God, I practice at least. I played that 30 40 times today. Oh, gosh. And then like you said, there was words in there that we don't even use these days, hickaboo, shoot, do, do, I don't know. Spartacus, appreciate your brother just became a member of the channel. And then he also gifted Clark day of memberships, man. Well, welcome Clark. What a family we got here. Cause yeah, quite the givers. I love it. Thank you so much, family. So it's going to be one hell of a weekend Shane breaking down all these. I mean, we're not even halfway through the season. Thankfully, I'm not counting down the days or anything, but it's, it's one wild weekend after another. And just what we have seen after six, I can only imagine what we're going to get the next six. Everybody's in contention. That's it. Everybody's still in it, Mike. You know, nobody's out of it. And that's what I love about this, because every Saturday it's like we're all scratching and claw trying to get to that 12th part or trying to get the SEC championship. And nothing is settled. I mean, how many times have we gotten to October and second week, October and like, well, we know who the East Champs are, we know who the West Champs are. And that's how it's going to play out. We have no freaking clue right now. Right. And just, I know it's way, way early, Shane. Last thing I got for you. Any, any feeling on this cousin Shane, curse, gift, whatever you want to call it, you're my bookie, my bookie.ag promo code that SEC. But any feeling at all of who you will curse with the lock. You don't have to give the way that the team, but I'm just wondering if you're, if you're sensing any dark mojo about one of these games. Well, deep down inside, Mike, I really don't want to walk 13.1 miles. So gators look pretty damn good last week. All right, well, leave it there, buddy. I appreciate you. I appreciate each and every one of you. We'll catch you on the next one. All right. See you guys. Hey, buddy, this beers for you, Mike and cousin Shane, that SEC podcast loves the pirate and the pirate loves that SEC podcast. Hail state. [BLANK_AUDIO]
