(upbeat music) - Welcome in to another episode of that SEC podcast. I'm your host, Michael Bretton. I go buy a SEC mic on the Twitter's and there's everybody's favorite, milk chugging cousin over here, cousin Shane, the Tennessee Hobart. How's it going, brother? - Well, no beer open today, Mike, because I need all the room I can for this half gallon of milk I'm about to consume. So we just got a little debate before the show and Mike said we should leave it up to the cousins. So should I drink the milk now? Should I do it toward the end of the show just in case? I mean, we're talking half a gallon of milk on my side. I don't know what's going to happen. I may not be able to finish the show and I just don't want to get caught in that predicament. So it's up to them. We'll let them kind of filter in here and let us know what they think. But I had my wife, she grabbed me some and I'm like, wait, this ain't going to count because they're going to say, hey, that's half empty. I know Shane that cheating bastard. So you floor the fans out there. So I got you a glass mug. I thought I just poured in there and then drink out of that thing, so. - Cousin Metz says y'all are really milking this bet. - Yeah, well, it's a shame that I'm the one that has to do it because I really am surprised that they were the underdogs in this scenario. You weren't, I should've listened to your mind 'cause you usually write when it comes to Texas A&M football, but this one kind of surprised me. I'm not going to lie. - Yeah, they're not helping Shane. They're saying, do it now, doing it later, spread it out throughout. So we're getting all kinds of mixed reviews here. - Spread it out. Okay, hey, spread it out sounds good 'cause I'm thirsty. I haven't drank all day in anticipation for this thing. - Yeah. - Yeah, but let's get the pour. Let's make sure. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Make sure it's authentic here. I got skim milk too so I could lose some weight in this process. (laughing) - Oh god. - That's a big jug. - Yeah, I got some more in there, clearly. So we'll come back to this thing. - Are you putting any bourbon in there to mix it? - No, absolutely not, no. - I just shivered just saying that loud. Oh man, I love milk though. Don't get me wrong, I could drink milk. It's just the half-gallon situation, you know? Now, as sitting down there with a whole box of cereal, I'd probably do it on a Saturday, not think twice about it. But now that I've got this pressure on me, it's now a problem, so. But anyway, man, hey, fantastic show. I saw you and Steve Oh, I love checking it on them just so I could start getting my picks and get like, if Steve's there, then I'm a little worried when we're in sync, you know? So he has some good stuff there, man, but I'm a little worried about my picks now. - Right, so our picks will be tomorrow, so tune in for that. And as always, Shane, the milk is brought to you by my bookie, the online sports book, head on over to mybookie.ag today, put in that promo code that, S-E-C, that's T-H-A-T-S-E-C, that'll double your initial deposit, just like Shane's drinking double the advised milk by any doctor in the world. We'll tell you how much milk is safe. That's how much they're willing to double your deposit over at my bookie with that promo code, that S-E-C, T-H-A-T-S-E-C. And the more my bookie signups we get, the more milk we can drink on our shows, you know what? - Mike, I'll tell you what, I've been working with a doctor right now with weight loss, and if she's watching right now, she is not gonna be happy with her next visit. (laughing) - Well, I'll tell you who they will be happy with. Shane, that's our cousin JR here, what are you guys? He just donated, he just donated on the last episode. He's donated again, this time to Craig. So, welcome to the family, cousin Craig. Don't forget, we're gonna do the family reunion for all official members of the channel. We're gonna do that tomorrow. After our pickums, I'll be curious to see how much milk Shane drinks during that one. - I'll probably drink the other half gallon for free there. (laughing) - Cousin Trace is, oh, it's probably just a white Russian over here. (laughing) - Yeah, I'm gonna be wiped out here in a minute. - Motivate Me says, is this the milk man that my wife ran off with? (laughing) - Oh, yeah, that was great. - Oh, hey, son, I'm glad you're not joking. (laughing) Cousin Corey says, "Shane's gonna tear that toilet up later." (laughing) - Yeah, if I start pausing this thing here, man, you know what's up, so. - Hey, Cousin Josh was says, "Where do Morio's at?" (laughing) - Hey, man, we like having fun on here. You know, we get caught up in the seriousness of college football 'cause sometimes it can be serious, but this is one of my favorite shows, Mike, just because we'll get to, well, I'd say later, hair down, but you know what I mean. But just kind of let loose, have some fun, talk some college football, some food. I mean, this is probably one of my favorite shows during the season. - Yeah, all right, so let's get into it, Shane. And again, if you wanna kick us a donation and ask a question, we'll tackle it during the show as well. But otherwise, we're gonna go with just the ones that we already got recorded here, Shane, on YouTube and Twitter's. But Cousin Brian, first member of the channel, very thankful for Cousin Brian here. When mid-zoo, that's his word, it's not mine. When mid-zoo fails to cover against Texas A&M, will they drop below the 10-spot in your SEC power ranking? So again, the spread, A&M's favorite, right? So it really depends on what he failed to cover. I mean, even if they lose by one point, they actually cover. - Yeah, don't get into this. Let's say they lose by five or seven. They lose by touchdown. Where would, like, you're the power ranking's got, not me, but where would you have them here? - I certainly would drop them right now. I got Missouri at five. - Yeah. - But quite honestly, there's a huge separation, I think, in the top four right now than everybody else. But, mm, I don't know, man. I mean, it's hard to say without other games taking place. But so here's my five through 10. Missouri, South Carolina, LSU, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Ole Miss. I don't know. I still think Missouri could still play with most of these teams right now. If they get their doors blown off, then get back to me. They may drop out of the top 10. But if it's a close loss, I think they're probably staying. They're probably staying in the top 10. Do you think that's fair? - That's fair. Well, let me flip it on you. If that happens with Texas A&M, make your top five. - Mm. I mean, they're already eight. - Yeah, I know. They still, there's some good teams ahead of them there. If they blew Missouri out. - Yeah. Well, I don't wanna say, let's say two touchdowns. - Well, see, I don't know what happens with South Carolina Ole Miss. You know, I mean, there's too many variables here. But they would, I think they would move up, certainly. - Okay, yeah, yeah. They have a shot is what you're saying. - They have a shot, I mean, South Carolina Ole Miss, they're playing each other. So one of them got to get out of here, you know. So, just like that milks got a shot of being chugged here. (laughing) - Blueberry says you're drinking that milk like it's water. Oh my God. - Dema says, why are you babysitting? Oh my God. I thought you were pacing yourself. You've already downed a big, big of it. - Let's just get it over with, you know. Let's just, I don't wanna hang it over me here. Let's go ahead and finish this thing. - All right, how about this one from cousin Michael Raleigh? Shane, also a member of the channel. Members get to go first in the mailbag here. In light of Georgia, Alabama, we just watched last weekend, Shane, what a game. What a game. Top 10 game, maybe all time SEC history, regular season anyway. What are some of the greatest games in SEC history? - Ooh. - And he says for him, 2019 LSU Beaten Alabama in Tuscaloosa, that's his favorite. Do you have any favorites that stand out to favorite all time SEC games? - Well, see, that's, I'm not good with here. So you may have to help me out here, but, I would say obviously the Jawan Jennings, I mean, that one right there, that one did it because it was the lead up. You gotta remember, it was like 15 seconds left in the game or something like that. You know, they just scored a touchdown. We were, I think up four points or something like that. Georgia wins, I mean, I'm just thinking, "Damn, this thing's over." Everybody thought it was over. Everybody, the face on over. I watched it, it popped up on my timeline the other day, and I saw Kirby even kind of smiling on the sideline. So I think everybody thought that was done until it wasn't. Dobs putting that in there, Jawan Jennings touched down. I mean, I can't tell you how elated I was. I watched that game just running through the house, literally running, and I don't run, Mike, but I tell you, I was just, there's something-- - I was about to call bullshit on you running, but then I was thinking about the play. That makes sense. - That's like the Holy Ghost hit me, and I was just running up and down the hall, and I could not believe that it happened, man. I was on cloud nine, my kids, my wife, they thought something happened or something like that, but I'll never forget that moment. So I got to say that one, so mine's obviously going to be more Homerism, but damn, that milk's got me. You probably don't want to hear that, but uh-oh, no. But the other one was the Will Hoyt redemption kick, and that's when he went down, we're playing Florida early in the year. I mean, you had to beat Florida. If you're going to make it to a BCS, you had to win that game. And he missed an extra point to tie that thing up. We got an opportunity to kick a 51-yard field goal, a 50-something like that, and Will Hoyt put that through. That was another, those are two of the, even the stumble. I can't, damn, you can't count Arkansas in '98. I mean, so I keep going, there's a lot of great games, but you can obviously see there's a lot of Tennessee Homerism in this one. - Yeah, for me, kick six, that's the number one all the time. - Yeah. - I don't think that'll ever be beaten, 'cause I don't think people realize, 'cause it's been so long, you kind of forget Alabama, had they won that, they were going to win the National Championship, and that would have been three in a row. I mean, there was a lot on the line for that football game, and it just, it was more than the ending. It was, I think there was a 99-yard pass in that game. I mean, it was just, what a damn game that was. - We're done. - And that was two weeks before, or two weeks after the prayer at Jordan Hare, that was a hell, that game was awesome too. You know, that was great, I'm trying to think, man, there's just so many. How do you narrow it down? The seven over time Texas A&M at LSU. - Jeez, what a game out there. - Was fantastic. - I went to bed. You remember that one? We were in Texas, I was like, this game's over, and then I woke up the next morning like, did I just miss the greatest football game ever? Yes, yes I did. - Yeah, that was a great one, I'm trying to think, I mean, who was it, I guess it's bad, I don't even know, but I think it was Tennessee, was it Tennessee and Arkansas or Tennessee and Ole Miss, it was like a seven over time game. That was a hell of a game. - They, let's see, the LSU stand. Well, I just saw this one, this LSU-- - That wasn't a good game, that was a god awful, that was steep because there was 13 people on the field. - Oh no, not that one, I'm talking about LSU Florida, the goal line stand there. I'm thinking of the shoe toss game, I mean, you could go around the league, I mean, we all got that game, South Carolina, Florida, yeah, getting that field goal block down there in the swamp, Spurrier's first year back, I mean, Mizzou, when Josie had that run right up the gut, you know, that one was a, I remember being a late, 'cause I thought, I never thought a million years, Mizzou would come in here and be representing the SEC champions, or the East, and then I watched that Josie right, I was like, "Holy shit, they're gonna do it." So I guess some of those are the ones that stand out to me, but I mean, there's a lot of good games, brother, there's so many, Arkansas, the, it was the Hail Mary with, was it, it wasn't Mustang, was it, I believe so? - I tried to remember, I keep going. - I think the milk's getting to you, Shane. - It is, it is, it's starting to sit in there, getting there good. - All right, how about this one from cousin Neil McGinnis, he's also a member of the channel, so we appreciate you, brother, we get your questions here at the top. Would you, would like your take on this, if Auburn and Oklahoma were to play again, say nine more times, how many times does Auburn weigh in over Oklahoma, and they play nine more times, go Hogs. - Oh man, I think if Auburn and Oklahoma play again, I'd give me Oklahoma seven times, Auburn three. - He's never gonna live that down, is he? - Yeah, he never will. - No. (laughing) - How about cousin Lester? He's also a member of the channel, we appreciate you, brother. This is not a question, oh, he had a question last week, so this is a throwback, if you missed it, Shane will remember. This is not a question, but Hawkins did not have to play Hock Toa with free. (laughing) Boober, he says so, that was pretty good, I thought. All right, how about this one from cousin Carl, he's in here all the time too. Big Tennessee fan. Mike and Shane, which team has shown to be the most consistent on offense and defense at any elite level, and then he adds, not me, he adds, and why is it 10-0-3? So, which SEC team do you think has been more consistently elite, Shane? - Well, fair or not, I think Texas has got to be in that, in that conversation. And because most folks are saying Alabama, and Alabama, yes, but not the entire season, I felt like they had a little bit of a rough start there, especially against USF there. So, I would say, Texas, Tennessee, Todd, and then I'd go Alabama, most complete right now. - Yeah, I think Tennessee and Texas, I think that's fair. Stingray says, "milk, drunk, cousin, Shane." (laughing) And shout out, so my buddy, Dave Barr too, he's the one that taught me all this stuff with efficiencies and scoring efficiency and things of that nature. He put it out the other day, Shane, this was wild, and again, why I like scoring efficiency? - Yeah. - He's been charting this for years and years and years. If you're top three nationally in scoring offense efficiency or scoring defensive efficiency, you, every national champion, the last 24 years, has fit into that category. - Yeah. - And he says there's only two teams in the country that are top five in both. Do you have any idea who they are? - Tennessee. - Correct. - Texas. - Nailed it, brother, so again. (laughing) - Anybody not believing that these are two of the top teams, at least, again, after just four or five weeks. - Yeah. - They are the most complete teams based, again, on four or five weeks, things can change in hurry, but Tennessee and Texas playin' above anybody else right now. - And them stats, you know, have computer programs. The end of the day, you gotta play football games, Mike. - To his credit, all last year. - Yeah. - He said Georgia's not one in the championship 'cause they were not close to either one of those. And you know who he had pegged? - Nope. - Michigan. - I'm just sayin' so. - Yeah, he's computers. - They just, I don't trust 'em at all. - Cousin Austin Atalia, what a name, what a name, Shane. He says, "Remind me, how do we get our hands "on named Sweet Coosie?" He's very simple, very simple. All you gotta do, subscribe to this channel, which everybody here has already done that, and give us a five-star rent review on Apple and Spotify. Takes literally 10 seconds, costs ya' nothin'. Just helps, it really helps the show to get reviews and to get our numbers up. So subscribe to the channel, give us a five-star rent review on the Apple Podcast app and Spotify. On Spotify, you don't have to even write anything. You just gotta give us five stores. - Yeah. - Yeah, email that to us at that SEC Podcast at gmail.com. Let us know who your team is, and we'll send ya' a koozy free of charge, don't, there's no deal like that in the podcast world outside of this one. You know what? - Then you gotta prove it by drinking half a gallon of milk to show that you truly love this show. You know one thing, Mike, and I appreciate everything you do to get these koozies out, but I'd love to see 'em. I'd love to see some more of 'em. I'm seeing when you're gettin' 'em, I've seen a couple cold beers, but I would love to see 'em in the stadiums. I would love to see 'em outside Telgate. And I mean, that was the whole point of it, is to have some cold beers and drink with the family. So if you do that, take a picture of it. Tag us, #wherethatkoozy or whatever, and then we'll be sure to retweet and get that back out there. But thank you guys all, and girls, for being a family and spreading the word. - Yep, and then, you know, it's crazy shit. I don't know what happened. - Yeah. - I think, I think the mailman got pissed at me is what I think happened, Jake, 'cause there used to be no issue. I'd put 25 of those bastards in the mailbox, they'd take 'em, right? And then about a year ago, they were like, mm-mm, mm-mm, mm-mm, like you can't mail these. So I have to get tricky about how I do it. I have to find different mailbox, pick up those locations and put two here, two there. So I'm driving all over town. So this was way more, that's why, honestly, that's why I don't talk about it a whole lot, 'cause I'm like, man, I don't wanna have to send 50 of these this week, 'cause I gotta go all over Nashville, try to find mailbox locations, and then half the time they reject 'em anyway, then I gotta send it five, six, seven times, so. - Wonder why they're rejecting 'em? Is it like-- - I think 'cause they're like, this bastards sent a thousand of these, you know? - Oh, yeah. - They're just probably like, I don't know. I honestly don't know, but if I was a mailman, that's what I do. (laughing) And people keep saying in the comments here, a link to become a member. All I see is it's on our YouTube. If you go to this link, there's a thing it says, become a member here, so. - Well, the problem you're gonna run into with iPhones is because YouTube's not owned by Apple. So you either have to go to the website, so go to the Safari website to do that, or get on a computer and subscribe that way. So that's the little trick. You do it once, but once you're in, you're in. I can do stuff with the membership once I have it, but you have to go that route if you have an iPhone. - Gotcha, okay. Well, see, I don't even know what I'm doing, but we're posting it, you know what? - Yeah, yeah, I mean, it takes a lot to get to this reunion, Mike, so. (laughing) - All right, how about this one here from Happy Lithium. Cool name here. Do you all think that the NIL and transfer portal has led to more parity in college football, mainly because everyone has to learn new systems and things of that nature? What do you think, Shane? Do you think there's more parity, thanks to NIL and the transfer portal? - I don't know if parity's the word I'd use, but I do think that I was always afraid, man. I'm not gonna lie, when I first heard the NIL was gonna be a thing. My first concern was, man, these rich teams are gonna get whoever they want. They're gonna create a little powerhouse because you see it in high school levels, you know, some of these Catholic schools or what's that one down in Florida, the IMG Academy. You know, I just, I thought that's what's gonna happen is create four or five, maybe six powerhouses and they're just gonna start just filtering them. But it did something different. It started helping some of these mid-tier teams. Some of these teams that weren't, you know, considered blue bloods, if you will. And now we're talking about teams like Ole Miss and Mizzou. These are programs that may be a one-hit wonder back in the '90s, '80s, '70s, whatever, but consistently can be a good team because of the transfer portal and the NIL. So I don't know if it's parity, but I would say, honestly, I don't even know what the word means, so that's why I'm kind of dancing around it. But I do think that it's better for the sport because it's making more teams competitive. - Yeah, no, I think that's fair to say. And again, maybe this is the wrong way to look at it, Shane, but when guys like Nick Saban and Kirby Smart are railing against us as they're dominating the sport, I sit here and say, well, it's gonna lead to more parity 'cause that's the last thing that they want. You know what I mean? - Yeah. - So, otherwise, Luther Burdens playing for Georgia right now, you know? Dominique Riolas, the backup quarterback down there in Georgia, you know what I mean? The list goes on and on. I mean, we're spreading the talent out a little bit more. And it's easier to say that there's more parity 'cause hell, Alabama's won Texas too, Georgia's four, you know what I mean? - Yeah. - But that's just today. We'll see where they are at the end of the season. And I'm not saying these teams are gonna drop off, but I certainly think there's less depth among these elite teams. And I think there's less depth all across the country. - Yeah. - Because of NIL and transfer portal. - That's exactly right. And that's why sometimes I think now more than ever, you gotta have Lady Luck on your side because you're right. If you get two or three tackles that go down, then all of a sudden you got a freshman in there. You've got a walk on that's fifth year or something like that. So there's a lot more of that. But again, the teams aren't at the top. They're just not as rich as they used to be. And I kind of love it, Mark. I ain't gonna lie. - Hey, you know what else I love, Shane? - What's that? - Thomas just became a member of the chain. - Hey! - Thank you. - 'Cause of Thomas, hopefully we'll see you at the family reunion tomorrow. But yeah, no, I do, I love it too. 'Cause maybe it's just the 12 team format, but it just seems like there's a lot more optimism. - Yeah. - And again, I get it. You're Ole Miss fan, you're down in the dumps, you lost the game. You turn around, you whoop South Carolina's ass. We're playoff fan, you know what I mean? Just like that. Whereas last year you're like, no way we make the four team 'cause we lost the freaking Kentucky, you know what? - That's exactly right, Mike. And I feel like we're at the end of the year, we'll have 12 good teams too. We won't have the one that we have to put in there because, you know, top situation at 2SEU. - TCEU. - Yeah, two teams that are going to probably compete in the national championship. And then that one because they're in that one conference, you know, it feels like this is ultimately gonna be seven, eight, nine, really good football teams that could take it home. - Yep. All right, how about this one, Shane, from BFL Logan. New listener here, Vols winning the SEC if they go one and one against Bama or Georgia. So if Tennessee splits are two biggest games, Shane, do they win the SEC? What's your thoughts on that? - Do they win the SEC? That's a intriguing question. Obviously I think they're in the SEC championship, but do they win? - Mm. - If it is Georgia, then yes. If it's Alabama, no, how about that? - So if they beat Alabama, you're saying no. - If they beat Alabama at home, I'm saying no, because that means they'd be losing to Georgia away. And I just don't know if you can beat Alabama twice, you know? - Yeah. - Or Georgia twice, and I don't know. I just feel like there's something about the home, like the home game is gonna be tremendous for Tennessee. If you do that, I think you got a really good shot there. - Okay, okay. How about from cousin Matt Beard here? He's in the comments, I saw him a minute. This is a great question. If we still had divisions, Shane, East and West, who would be playing in the SEC championship this year? I guess that's part of answer without knowing where Texas and Oklahoma would be. - Yeah. - So we gotta put one in each one and the other. I don't know how we do that, but. - In my mind, I already got it. I got Texas in the West, Oklahoma, and the East. - Okay, yeah, that's what I was gonna say as well. So let's say that's the format where we got the East and the West. Who's winning the West? Who's winning the East in that scenario? - Texas West and- - Over Bama. - Yeah, yeah. - Oh, baby. - Yeah, I'm sold on Texas right now. - Don't you watch Bama Saturday night. - Yeah, I did. Yeah, I'm watching what they're doing. The backup quarterback right now, Mike. They ain't got their stud in there. They got this no-schmo maning kid in there. But on the East, I would say right now. Oh man, Tennessee right now. Yeah, yeah. Can I tone it down a little bit? - He's bodied, it does. - Yeah, George has already got a loss in the SEC. And I'm looking at Mizzou. If they keep playing like they're doing, they're bound to find one. So yeah, I would go, because now they would have to play each other. - Georgia gets a host Tennessee though. - Yeah, that's true. I mean, there's still chance, but I'm just, again, I'm just going with what I see through five weeks, Mike. I'm not saying that it is going to happen. Clearly these divisions don't even exist. We're talking about a fictitious division here. But right now, give me Tennessee and Texas. - Give me Alabama. Give me Georgia. I think that'd be a real season. (both laughing) If we still had East to West, I think that'd be the way. But here's the tricky part. We don't know where would the Alabama Texas game, you know, they would have to play. Is it in Austin? Is it in Texas? Well, hell, Texas beat 'em last year. It doesn't exclusive for what that's worth. But yeah, I still like Alabama right now. - Well, and to be fair, and I'm not just being a homer here, it's the scheduling. Georgia's schedule is so much tougher than Texas and Tennessee. I think if you go on the other side, you look at Mizzou, they're the only ones that I can see having an opportunity to get in with their schedule. But again, we're talking about through four weeks, we've got an overtime game with Vanderbilt and a prayer with Boston College. So I'm not quite ready to put them in the mix. - Mm-hmm. Hey, shout out to Cousin Tiffany. She just became a member of the channel. - Hey, welcome. Hopefully she is at the family review, you know, here. - Yeah, keep these boys in line. (both laughing) But all right, Shane, how about this one from Cousin, Jessie Sewell here, big South Carolina fan. - Yeah. - When, not if, he says, when South Carolina crushes Ole Miss in humiliating fashion this Saturday, will it put Lane Kiffin directly on the hot seat, or will it take a few more losses? So what do you think, Shay? Will Kiffin be on the hot seat if he loses all Saturday? - No, absolutely not. Nope, nope, nope, nope. He will not. They'll be upset. There'll be a lot of pissed off fans, but there's no way. I would say to be on a hot seat, you'd have to, you'd have to, let's see, one, two, three, four, five, you'd have to lose five more, six games. - Wow. - To be on a hot seat. That's how, I mean, you could probably, Lane Kiffin could probably lose the next seven games and still not be on a hot seat Ole Miss. This is a team that's not been to an SEC Championship in 30 years, 30-something years, you know what I'm saying? And now we're talking about 10 win seasons and all the publicity that universities receive. Did you not hear 'em talking during that football game about their enrollment is up where a lot of these schools are down? I mean, people are wanting to be a part of this program and I'm not saying Lane Kiffin is the guy that made it all happen, but damn, he's pretty strong in it. - Maybe not fired Shane, but will they send his ass to Gainesville? I think they might, if they lost all these games here. - Oh, this whole Florida thing. We're gonna do this all the way the end, ain't we? - And then I think Shane wrote this one. - I probably did. - Coach? - No, coach Jive Elko instead of Mike Elko. Do you have any good offensive coordinator recommendations? They hate 'em just like you do, Shane. They don't like Colin Klein, at least Jive Elko don't, but just shame you couldn't keep the one you had, you know. Bobby Petrino, could you imagine Bobby Petrino just let loose like last year? I think that, I think we'd be talking, I don't know, I'm not saying Jimbo would still be there 'cause I'm glad he's removed, but I damn curious, if they let Bobby Petrino coach like he's coaching in Arkansas, what would have been the record last year, especially with all those weapons they had? - Mm. - Better than what it was, I'll tell you that. - Yeah, I'm sure, yeah. - But O.C., see who you got, who you got? This is your kind of your wheelhouse. - I like Colin Klein, I like who they got, Shane. I think they're lacking weapons right now, and it's just a work in progress, and heck they're, Shane, they just won four games in a row with a backup quarterback. I mean, how could you not be impressed with that? It included steam rollin' Florida in a game, I believe we both picked Florida to win. You picked 'em to lose dark and so all they just, they didn't whoop ark and so up and they beat 'em, they don't. I'm impressed, Shane, I am not over the moon, but I'm impressed with what they've been able to come up with so far. - I'm sorry, you were rambling there. I've got 78 grams of protein today out of this stream. - 78, exactly. My mom would be proud. (laughing) - Yeah, 'cause of Rick's rate, Colin Klein just beat Bobby. What are you talking about? - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It was crowding, crowding the kid, yeah. (laughing) - I'm gonna be patient, again, they're a work in progress and I never said he was a bad coordinator. I just said I didn't understand what he was doing. So that is starting to look a little bit better every week. - Yeah. How 'bout this one, Shane? I don't know if we can help this young man, but cousin Bryce and young blood. - Yeah. - Why did I choose to be an Ole Miss fan? (laughing) It's not that bad right down there, is it? - No, no, I mean, still, you control your destiny. The biggest game is this game. For the longest time, I felt like Ole Miss was looking forward to the LSU game, that they were looking forward to the Georgia game. This is why they went out here and they got this talent and they did this old sales pitch that this is what they need to beat teams like that. But then they overlooked teams like Kentucky. Yes, they got punched in the mouth by the big blue nation. But still, I, maybe that's what you needed, you know? Dust off, get up there, show 'em why you're a top five football team. You still can make the college football playoffs. Who cares if you don't make an SEC championship? It really does not matter. At the end of the day, if you're holding the national championship trophy. - Mm-hmm. Now how 'bout this one from, here's his name, Shane, an optimistic Auburn fan. I didn't know there were any. - Hugh's burner. - All right. (laughing) Every year, Ole Miss plays a schedule that's softer than baby shit. And every year they lose to a tough opponent. When will the media learn to not rank them till they prove they can win the games that matter? Well, they just won 11 games, didn't they, Shane? And then two years prior to that, they won 10. And they've won more games than anybody in the SEC. The last, I think it's four years now, than anyone other than Alabama or Georgia. So, I mean, I get it, you can certainly criticize, but if I were to tell you you have a better record than anybody than Georgia or Alabama who run the damn sport, I think you're doing pretty damn good. - I think you're doing pretty damn good, Mike, just to be even considered in that realm of football team. So, yeah, that's what you're doing. You just, you find ways to win. So, is it pretty? No. Are they gonna write books about this offense or defense? No. But at the end of the day, if you got 10, 11, 12 wins, buddy, that's a championship team. - Yep. All right, how about this one from Johnny B. He's a famous fine-bomb caller, Shane. - Yeah. - Now, he's been a fan of ours for a good while. Do you think Jackson Dart is a liability, that old Ole Miss? That's an interesting question, Shane, 'cause his numbers are video game, but again, it's against cupcake competition. - Yeah. - I think last week was more about the offensive line. I mean, I don't know what in the world's going on there. They couldn't run the ball. I don't think Jackson Dart is a liability. That's going to step too far. But it is fair to question, I think, how good he is in a lot of these big-time games, 'cause he has come up short. So, what's your thoughts on that? I mean, would Jackson Dart lead him to the promised land, so to speak, do you think? - Well, you know, it's funny that you say that, because if you had asked me three weeks ago, two weeks ago, all right, we've got, you know, 14 quarterbacks in this room, all the quarterbacks from all the teams. And I'm building a program, who's one of the first few that I'm going to pull off. Jackson was always one of those guys for me. I just felt like he had it. He's mobile, he's accurate, he's the decision-making. I just, I felt like he was the, I thought he was the package that Lane Kiffin needed. And the development I've seen, because Jackson Dart three years ago is not anywhere near like the Jackson Dart we see today. But the problem I'm having, Mike, it's like he said, big games, or when you're down, when the obstacles come up, you know, I'm not seeing that they're trying to tout him as a Heisman winning quarterback. Well, he's got to put, not just Heisman winning numbers, but he's got to win those games, Mike. If you were a true Heisman, if you would have put prime Kim Newton in that game last week against Kentucky, who would have won that football game? Ole Miss, you know what I'm saying? If you would have put, I think about the Tim Tebow, prime Tim Tebow, if you put him back there, who would have won that football game? So at the end of the day, to be a Heisman quarterback, you've got to win these football games, Mike. There's no reason he should have lost to Kentucky. And I'm not saying it falls all on his shoulders, because like you said, they got a little two-one dimensional, they had trouble running the football. It's almost like they had to have Jackson win this thing. But to be in a league quarterback and to consider yourself one of the best of all time, then you don't shy from that moment. You win that moment and he didn't do it last week. So I'm not saying his liability, but I am saying maybe he's a probability that he's not as good as we thought he was. - Mm. All right, how about this one? Shaped from Gator Josh all off season. He said, "Why? "Why are you guys putting Bailey on the hot seat?" I think he's ready to fire his ass now, but that's neither here nor there. He's got his eyes on a new target. And I think there's some validity, some validity. I'm just curious what you have to say. Is Kirby smart starting to lose his luster, ask Gator Josh? Is he just a one-trick pony, meaning he doesn't have, if he doesn't have superior talent, he can't win. He doesn't scheme very well, it seems. That's his question. What's your thoughts on that, because I, again, when all these lists come out, best coaches, Kirby's always number one. Now at least he was in the off season. - Yeah. - And there's a lot that comes with being a coach. I mean, you got to be a CEO, you got to be a recruiter. The CEO, the recruiter aspect, Kirby is number one. But I think there's something to what old Gator Josh is saying here, when Kirby doesn't have the talent advantage, which is very, very seldom. I mean, it's like Alabama or Ohio State. I don't know, it seems to be, I don't know that he's like the best game day coach, if that makes sense. Would you agree with that or you disagree? - It's hard for me to agree with that. Just because we're talking two losses in two years, right now, we saw one loss in the SEC Championship. And can you say that was Kirby's smart fault? Possibly, yeah, but then I can argue that an Ohio State game in the playoffs was won by management, by just waking these boys up and strategically getting them in the right spot, mainly on defense side. So no, I think Kirby's a fantastic coach and I think he's a fantastic motivator. I just saw the video of him after the game talking to his boys and you expect an ass to it, man. You would expect him ripping him and I'm sure that's what they got at halftime. But at the end of the game, you got a coach that's a player's coach because he's been a player in that university and he knows that, hey, we've got an opportunity to still do something magical here in Athens. So I feel like that's dad talk and there's a transition you're seeing with Kirby. And no, if I'm out hiring coaches and I have an opportunity to hire Kirby smart, I'd hire him in a heartbeat. Oh yeah, well, yeah. I mean, that's not the question though. I think the question is if he doesn't have his massive talent gap, can you win your games? But yeah, yeah, he can. Okay. Yeah. I'm trying to give these Florida fans something to cling to here, Shane. I mean, I'm still trying to find what has he done that has made you think otherwise, because here's what I've seen just, I don't know, look at his record against Bama. He's getting his ass kicked. Well, look at this year, look at this year alone. How many like Clemson and then the Alabama game, both did look terrible in the first half, but I saw something in the second half. You don't just automatically have improvement. You have improvement because you're making adjustments. So I feel like that's more about coaching than it, the players didn't just say, Hey, let's start playing good now. No, the coaches made adjustments. So that's, that's what I see. Now, my only the caveat there is we've had some shitty first halfs, which is also coaching. So I'm not saying that he's just completely out of the dog house here, but yeah, I still think Kirby's an excellent football coach. I think all that milk has made you intelligent on all these things fantastic. How many, it must be the vitamin A or something. I am just through the vitamin D 25% and a six serving. So I'm ready, man. What else you got? All right. David Garnett in black. Obviously a big South Carolina fan chain. Do you believe Lane Kiffin's offense will still under perform on the road historically at Ole Miss, his offensive output has been almost halved when outside vat Hemingway Stadium does the addition of in-helmet communication change yet. So really the question here Shane, again, last week was at home too, and they struggled, but can't, now that they have the helmet communication, you still got a helpful miss on the road. What's your thoughts on that? I thought it was an interesting question. Yeah, I do. When I, when this first came out, Lane Kiffin was the first coach I thought about who's this going to benefit the most, especially those up-tempo offenses, you know? Yeah. Also coaches with young quarterbacks. So like a Josh Hopple or something like that. But I do think that if you're looking at a coach, Lane Kiffin, that is constantly, constantly thinking of that. I just, I watch him on the sidelines, Mike, and it's not the same anymore. It used to be more emotions. Now it's just more dialed in, and I guarantee he's in that headpiece right now, just he's seeing something and he's letting Jackson know ASAP. So when they get on the road, yeah, I think it's going to be very, very beneficial for Lane Kiffin, it's going to be a leg up, for sure. Yeah, well, we'll find out, you know? We'll find out. If they go, if they go hype or speed, I think they'll be fine. I think that's what really killed them. Last, I really do. Just inability to get first downs, move the chain, get to tempo, and it's unfortunate, but it looks like Ole Miss, if they can't run tempo, they got nothing. Yeah. Which, that, that to me is coaching. Now maybe they've just worked tempo so much that that's all they know how to do, but I don't know. You've got to have a change up. You've got to be able to do something different, I would think, but they were unable to do it. Do you think that this helps more, like when I think about, so Lane, I just told you, Lane Kiffin, Josh Hopple. So do you think it helps those style coaching, or do you think it helps like a Venables and a Kirby Smart talking to the defense? You know, which one is it better for us as far as adjustments, you know? I feel like you can always change a play, you know? That's, they still got the red, yellow, green guys on the sideline. I thought we were getting rid of them, but they're still hanging out, you know? But the defense, on the other hand, you may be able to see something, you know, that maybe you saw in film study earlier, or something like that, and quickly react to. So in your opinion, do you think the, the in helmet speech is it better for offensive mind coaches or defensive mind coaches? - Mm. Yeah, that's tricky, Shane. I don't really know the answer to that. But I have heard something interesting that I never even thought of. Like let's say Oklahoma's playing at home. - Yeah. - And they're on defense, the crowds loud, they're fired up, right? - Yeah. - The defense can't hear it, is what I've been, you know, it's the reverse, you know what I mean? Like if you're a defense, you'd rather be on the road than where it's kind of quiet. And now vice versa, if you're at home, in your offense, like a hypo, you'd wanna, at home, I think it's an advantage. I think defense, it's advantage on the road. Like never thought of it. - No, I do get it, that makes perfect sense. - And I certainly think we saw that last week, Oklahoma, Venables, and their defense making adjustments late in that game, you know what? - Yeah, there's no way I could have done it because I can't hear shit now. (laughing) I'd say just give it to somebody else, man. (laughing) - All right, how about this one, Shane, from my Durant, if Shane Beamer in the game, Cox, pull off the upset this weekend, beat Ole Miss, is he your Dark Horse SEC coach of the year at the midway point? - Oh man, great question. And you know why it's a great question, Mike, because I don't think they should just hand out SEC coaches for winning the most games. I find that's one of the, it's like a Heisman for the winningest football team. I think you do it to a coach that's maybe really improved a football team scenario, and absolutely, because the only argument I'd have right now is Coach Stoops because he did beat Ole Miss, and if Kentucky does win out, not completely win out, they still got really tough games, but mainly Tennessee and Texas. But if they have, let's say, out of the seven, they win. - If they win all the games they're favored in, which will be all of them, but Tennessee and Texas. - I would put them in the mix as well. The only thing I would change is if Shane Beamer did it, because if he does it, he also beat Kentucky. So yeah, both those coaches are the ones I'm kind of looking at now. - I would say no, because his question, is he your Dark Horse candidate? - If they win on Saturday, he is coach of the year. - No. - At halfway. Now he's saying not to halfway, but now, again, things can change, but yeah, he would be the runaway winner if they've beaten Kentucky and Ole Miss, I think. - Well, yeah, again, we're talking about the halfway point, yes, it would be Shane Beamer. Now at the end of the season, it may change just because South Carolina does have Bama, Oklahoma, A&M, Mizzou, Clemson, and Kentucky has Texas and Tennessee. That's it. So I find that Kentucky kind of has an easier path to a successful season, not saying that Shane Beamer can't have success, I mean, knocking off a powerhouse like Ole Miss is definitely the first step. And Shane Beamer should already have, I mean, this is a football team, Mike, that should be undefeated right now. And a lot of people, they can't wrap their heads around that. This is a top 15 football team right now. So I don't think it's going to be as big as an upset if they pull it off Saturday, they're just going to, again, let the other fans know that South Carolina, South Carolina is legit. - Right. All right, how about this one from Gamecock, Trey? A lot of, I love how we got the Gamecocks in here, all fired up for this game, Shane. - Hey, come on, man. - If South Carolina beats Ole Miss, is there any playoff implications for the Gamecocks? So basically saying, you know, are we in the playoff hunt if they beat Ole Miss? And I would say, hell yeah. Now, they could drop right out, I guess, if they get destroyed by Alabama. But if you beat Ole Miss, - Yeah. - I think they got to be on the playoff bubble. - Yeah, I mean, if they beat Ole Miss, then they could beat anybody else on this schedule. But let's say they drop another one, Alabama. I still think they got a shot for a college football playoff. - I think they're in if they go 10 and two. - Well, I think 10 and two, you're definitely in. But the only question that I would have is this is a team that we've kind of, we've done this scenario game with South Carolina already, but is this potentially a nine and three playoff team? And I think dropping Ole Miss early, especially while they're, you know, top 10 football team, and then maybe losing Alabama, you still have that little window. You still got, I could argue that they have an opportunity to make the playoffs just because there's still got a lot of top 25 teams left to play and kind of get their selves back into it. So yeah, no, you beat Ole Miss, you got a shot to get in. - All right, how about from Bryce Carter, Shane, will cousin Shane still want say a pitman at the booth down at media days if the hogs pull off of you upset? - I may give him a little harder time next year, but yeah, of course, I'd love to have, say Sam's always welcome to our table. And I hope after coaching that we still get an opportunity to maybe, you know, go to the lake house, have a couple cold beers with him, and just talk about life, you know? - Right, yeah, we have talked about it too, you know, adding some like real analysis to this show with like a former coach or player or something like that. I mean, who better than a major, if it was the tripod, it was us and coach pitman? - That we would just, it'd be like for 40 minutes, just asking the same questions, you know? 20 minutes, get our shit out. (laughing) - All right, how about this one from Kentucky, Kenny? Guess who he's a fan of? One week I'm excited, one week I'm furious, one week I'm confident, should I see a doctor? - No, that's college football, baby. (laughing) - Oh, no, that's college football, I love that. - And then Thor Cain, he's also a Kentucky fan, Shane. You talked about Kentucky might be able to run the table possibly sneak a win against Tennessee, against Texas. Who do you think they match up better with to get that sneaky win? Would it be Tennessee, would it be Texas? They're both on the road. Which one do you think Kentucky matches up better against? - Great question, and the problem is I think Tennessee and Texas are very, very similar. So the only thing, the only reason I'm gonna say Texas in this scenario is because Tennessee will be coming off a bar. So there's no really overlooking Kentucky, you know, you're gonna have two weeks to play this rivalry game. Texas on the other hand, there's a shot that they may overlook them because they've kind of got, can you pull up Texas schedule? I believe they got two pretty easy match ups. So they got Vanderbilt, Florida, Arkansas. I mean, Arkansas has been playing pretty good defense, but what would that defense look on November 16th? You know, there may be a shot here that, that Texas is just kind of sleepwalking. - And looking at A&M. - Absolutely. So I think your best shot for an upset would be against the Longhorns. - You knew he was gonna say that, folks. - Yeah, yeah, absolutely. - Someone said in the comments here, I'm trying to find it, Shane. Who would drink more beers, cousin Shane or coach Pittman? - I would probably be me, man. (laughing) - Ooh, it's a challenge I'm ready to accept. - All right, how about this one, Shane, from M Mason UK. Again, a lot of UK fans. If Kentucky ends up going eight or four or nine and three, which would require beating, you know, having a big upset or two, with wins over Ole Miss and Louisville, maybe Tennessee, maybe Tennessee. When Mark Stoops get another job offer, he's already penciled him into Florida State. Shane, we went from firing this guy to, God, are we gonna do so well? The coach could leave. I think after last season's shenanigans, I don't know, I think Mark Stoops is here to stay. - Yeah, and I really do think that this is his last school he coaches at, you know? If it doesn't work in Kentucky, I'm still not saying that this isn't his final season, you know? I mean, these older guys, they don't like this new football, you know? They don't like this constant recruiting, NIL, transfer portals, all that stuff. It's not the same ol' same ol' and I find that some of these older guys are like, say, hey, we had a good run. So don't be surprised if this isn't coach's last year, but he's off to a hell of a start this season, for sure. - Hey, how about this? We got a donation shade from Mr. Bloodline. - Hey, thanks, Gus. - Over under Ole Miss fake injuries, five. I mean, we're talking a half for the full game. It's gotta be way over that. I do think that we'll see some, but I think it'll be under. I feel like Lang Kiffin got a text message for Mr. Sanky that not, you know? (laughing) - Yep. - All right, how about this one, Shane? From Luke the Wonder dog. If Georgia wins out, Tennessee beats Bama and wins out except for Georgia. So 11 to one Georgia, 11 to one Tennessee who lost to Georgia. Texas wins out except for Georgia. So 11 to one Texas, Alabama wins out except for Tennessee. So 11 to one, all 11 to one. Each of them are shoe-ins for the playoffs, but who plays for the SEC Championship? And this is where we gotta get into this damn tie-breaker, and it'll be how do those team, common opponents, records against them, records against the top SEC teams. I don't know, it's a damn mess. - Coin toss, coin toss, rock paper scissors. Yeah, I mean, there's a formula now for this. So I think that would be the ultimate answer. Me, I personally would, if you got, I don't know, I don't really don't know. - Let's say it plays out that way though, just let me ask it this way. If they're all 11 and one. - Yeah. - Who's the best of the group do you think? And again, in this scenario, Georgia lost at Alabama. - Yeah. - Tennessee lost at Georgia. Alabama lost at Tennessee. And then Texas lost at home to Georgia. Who would be, in your mind, the best team? Best 11 and one team. - The ones that lost on the road, those would be the top two teams. So that would be Tennessee and Georgia. - And Georgia, yeah. - Yeah, because again, if you lost at home, then I would think that would be a bigger hit, if you will. So. - Well, Alabama lose on the road too, then. - So, man, we can't even split this up. - Man, who's on first, what's on second? My brain, my brain can't keep up with the scenarios. - All right, how about this one from, what a name? Get it, got it, good. Cousin Shay's thoughts on cheer wine as the best soda and favorite post meal purchase at Cracker Barrel store. I always go with the syrup, that's what he said. So, with cheer wine and favorite post meal purchase at Cracker Barrel. - I like cheer wine, so. - I don't know if I've ever had it. - Well, you Yankee, of course you wouldn't, you know. (laughing) Yeah, now cheer wine's good, post, you know, where they get me, ma'am, 'cause I don't really go in the store that often. I mean, you have to go through it, but the girls will find something in my youngest, she'll find stickers or something she just has to have. But they got me on these candy bars there at the register, 'cause that always got a deal going on. And I don't even know if it's really a deal. It's kind of like in fireworks stands you go to, and they said, you know, it's buy one, get one, but then you realize the prices are doubled. So, it's like, you're not really getting a good deal. So, I don't know if that's the case or just I wanted some candy, but that's typically what I'll do, is buy some of those giant candy bars right there at the register. - So, what, I'm just trying to figure out, I don't know if the audience can see this, can you see that? - Yeah, yeah. - What is this red juice drink here? - It's kind of like, it's hard to explain, it's like a cherry Dr. Pepper, I guess you would say. It's a distinct flavor, but it is kind of fancy. We never did it a lot growing up, you know. If it wasn't Sam's choice, we probably weren't drinking this stuff, but-- - And where do I purchase this drink? - It's just anywhere over here in East Tennessee. Yeah, you can get it anywhere. I've not seen it, I've never, I don't go out searching for this one. You know, one of the, another one that's up in this area is, oh, what is the name? I know listeners will know this, especially if you're from up here, there's a green bottle, it's a, oh, what is it? It's like the original caffeine drink. - Well, no. - No, no. But they made, this company made Mountain Dew and Pepsi Cola bought it and they made billions off of it. But they, they stuck with the other one and I can't remember it right off hand, but my mother-in-law-- - Is it, nobody says squirt? Remember that? - That is squirt now. (laughs) - I remember search, remember that? - Search, we had a search machine at our middle school. It's like, you talk about dropping a bomb on those middle school teachers. We weren't even going to lunch. We were just hitting search cans out in the gymnasium. So, now I can't remember the name of that one, but it's very popular in Johnson City area. - Have you ever used this cheer wine as a mixer? - Oh yeah, that's all I've used it for. (both laugh) It's good with stuff, you know? Like a little vodka or something, you know? You can definitely hide a lot of booze into that cheer wine. So, it's definitely a good chaser. - How about, they're saying vault. I don't know what that is. - Vault? (laughs) Oh man, Pepsi clear, you know? Yeah, there's been some doozies growing up. You know, I used to go down middle school. I used to walk down, there's a little gas station below our school there. And we'd get like, what would get, not surged, but we'd load up on those little icy things. I don't even know if they still do those, but you can not squirt all your stuff in there. And then we'd have them bone cigarettes, you know? We'd fake smoked cigarettes out back. Like we were cool kids, you know? So, I remember all that stuff. The Pepsi clear, that was a big deal for a while, but they've come out with some pretty wild stuff back in the day. And I wonder, I'm waiting for the moment where they come on the, like the 3 AM ads, you know? Have you ever drank served, you may be able to get it, like, I'm not saying like I was around some, some damn asbestos or something. - All right, final one change from cousin Trey Tucker. He's always got the best questions. He's got a football question first, before he gets to the food. Who would you consider a bigger failure if they both went four and eight? Why you Billy Napier? Or hold down Hugh Freeze? Hugh Freeze, hold down Hugh Freeze. Billy, we already kind of painted the picture of a possible four win season. Hell Vegas had them at four and a half. You know, Hugh Freeze, we did not see that. We thought we'd have, well, I think they were five and a half, if I'm not mistaken. - No, they're over under was like seven and a half. - Damn, I'm trying to help them out here Mike. - Yeah, so Hugh Freeze without a doubt. If that were to happen four wins, that means you got two left work. So is that Vandy and ULEM? - I mean, I can't. - Oh God. - We can't give him Vanderbilt either after... - No, yeah. - Diego Pavi is there, you know what? - Oh my gosh. Man, you're gonna be first in line for this fashion, ain't you? I've been told you so, I told you so. - And then Trey, so he's got a question for me, drinking question. - Yeah. - I think at the bar, what are you ordering in the whiskey bourbon family? He says, "His wife likes a smoky old fashions." Now, have you ever had the smoky drinks, Shane? I'm not a huge fan of the smoky drinks. Has that come down to your neck of the woods yet? - I tried one, we had some fancy rattlesnake place in Knoxville and they had one. I just thought it was a little too much for me. - Yeah, I'm just not a big fan of that aftertaste. I don't like it. - Some people love it, some people are die hard on it. You know, they got the whole kits and everything. It's like, if you're not making sourdough bread, you're making a smoked bourbon. - Yeah, so again, I'm not very picky. I do love an old-fashioned though. That is my go-to choice. And I usually ask for buffalo trace, bourbon if they haven't. But again, I'm not a snob at all. I like the cheap stuff as much as I like. I can, to be honest with you, Shane, I appreciate all these bourbon guys and all this. I can't tell the difference between a damn $5 drink and a $50 one, you know? - Yeah, maybe a little practice, Mike. You know, you get better at it. (both laughing) More upset power rankings. You'll have them barbers figured out by the end. - Yep. And then, so this is the final one for you, Shane. - Yeah. - From Cousin Trey. What's your perfect burger set up and perfect side to go with it? - Wow, that's a great question because it's different everywhere I go. I mean, all right, I got you here. So, we're cooking out, grilling out at Mom and Dad's, you know? Burger, I'm very, very traditional. I just, a burger and buns find me, catch it mustard. But, if I go out to-- - Oh, plain, Shane, huh? No cheese, nothing? - I throw a little miracle whip on there, you know? - Oh, God. - Oh, I'm your burger? Hell yeah, this is my burger, not yours. But it's not a Sunday, Shane, it's a piece of meat. - No, no, I know, that's, what are you talking about, Sunday? - Huh? - What do you mean Sunday? - Is it, well, maybe I'm thinking of something else, but a miracle whip, isn't that like-- - Oh yeah, no, I'm shit, I'm sorry. - That's like, that's like the-- - No, wait, it's, you said you put miracle whip on your burger. - And that, now you got me thinking I'm crazy. It's not mayonnaise, but it's miracle whip, ain't it? - Oh, got you, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. - I'm thinking of, oh, whip cream? - Yeah, that's what I was like. - Oh, wow, good lord. - I mean, I'll try. (laughing) But if I go to a restaurant and I'm ordering a burger, I'm like burger, Swiss cheese, barbecue sauce and caramelized onions. Give me that on a fancy burger house. I go to a pals, it's a ketchup mustard chili on my burger, so I do like to mix it up, but I will go any burger, homeschool, or I used to have one of them black stone grittles and I used to do those whole, those are good, you know? So you just really can't go wrong with burgers. You can mix it up any way you want, but I'm just a little confused why you go fancy at the restaurant, but you keep it plain Jane at home. Well, I've got picky girls and it's easier to just grill a whole bunch of burgers and not get real fancy with it. Are your buns slice pieces of bread? - No, no, that's why I draw the line. That's why, I know it. Yeah, I've had to do it and it's not my favorite. - I have done it, in fact, I tried doing it, we're doing this healthy stuff where we're not eating like preservatives or whatever and I tried some on some homemade sourdough and it was, I was like, what am I doing? I want a wimp, I like the buns and even if you've got time, especially in like a blackstone and you put a little butter on it, you can kind of get crispy, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, I'll do that, but no, typically I'm pretty traditional. I love Swiss cheese, so if I am putting a cheese on it, it's gonna be a Swiss or a provolone. - Yep, hey. - And then the side, he did mention side. - Oh yeah, oh yeah, sorry, didn't mean to cut you up. Please continue with your burger and sides and everything. - Bake beans, man, I'm a baked bean guy. Bushes baked beans, not a sponsor should be, can't believe they're not, we're in the same county. But give me a baked beans, that's my side. Have you ever done the old, I used to do, take a burger and have mac and cheese, take a bite of the burger and then the spot where you take the bite, put in mac and cheese in there, you ever done that? - Never done that, no, I'm not a cheeseburger. - It's like your own cheeseburger type, you know? - I get it, I'm just not a big mac and cheese guy. You would think, you'd say cousin's like, like if we had a vote today. - That's pretty stunning. - One of us is eating mac and cheese. - No, I'm not a big fan. Unless it's one of those like mac cheese casseroles, it's got like crispy cheese and like some breadcrumbs on top of it, I get behind that, but I'm not a big cheesy mac guy. - Okay, okay. Cousin Rick, appreciate your brother, he gave us a donation. Great show, Aggies by Two Scores this weekend. So again, you'll have to tune in Thursday night to see who we got in that game. Stephen picked Missouri in that game just for people. No, go check that out. Stephen just gave his picks about an hour ago, or two hours ago, I guess, now. But anything else, Shane, before we wrap it up here and don't forget, tomorrow we also got the little family reunion, yeah. Hopefully we can pull it off. I've never done anything like it, had a hundred people on a Zoom call, but we're gonna try. - We're gonna try, it may fail epically, but we will be there. So most reunions usually do, Mike, they usually end in bloodshed. So I'm looking forward to that, getting our picks in tomorrow. Feeling pretty good about my picks, Mike. I don't know if that's scary. Last week I was worried, and look, what happened? I lost, but this week, I feel a little bit better. So take that for what it is, Mike, but-- - Without giving the picks away. - Yeah, overall confidence in your picks on a scale, one to 10, one being low, 10 being high, you're in eight already. On my lock, eight on the lock. There's one in particular, I'm like a two. Like I really have no idea. And there's another one that's like a three or four, but the lock, I'm like 8.5, so it's pretty damning, so. - All right, well, tune in for that. Can't wait to see who cousin Shane's wrong about this week. We gotta get off to a better start on these locks, though. You know what, that's burning me up right now. - Yeah, and your prospects have at least saved me there. It's saving me some money, so, you know? (laughing) All right, brother, well, I appreciate you. I appreciate each and everyone of you for hanging out. We'll catch you on the next one. All right, see you guys, go balls. - Hey, buddy, this beer's for you, Mike, and cousin Shane.
